Clinton’s bold forecast about Trump should he defeat Biden in 2024

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned this weekend that former President Trump will try to withdraw the U.S. from NATO if he wins re-election in November.

Clinton made the claim during remarks at the Munich Security Conference in Germany, telling U.S. allies that they should take Trump’s claims to heart after the former president warned NATO countries to contribute their fair share.

“We have a long struggle ahead of us, and the obvious point to make about Donald Trump is take him literally and seriously,” she said. “He means what he says. People did not take him literally and seriously in 2016. Now he is telling us what he intends to do, and people who try to wish it away, brush it away, are living in an alternative reality.”

“He will do everything he can to become an absolute authoritarian leader if given the opportunity to do so. And he will pull us out of NATO even though the Congress passed a resolution saying that he couldn’t without congressional support, because he will just not fund our obligations,” she said.

NATO MEMBERS BRACE FOR TRUMP WIN AS RECORD NUMBER OF MEMBERS MOVE TO MEET SPENDING PLEDGES

Clinton’s comments seemed directed toward NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg, who has said he is confident the U.S. will “remain a strong ally and committed ally” regardless of the outcome this November.

BIDEN SAYS TRUMP QUESTIONING EUROPEAN COMMITMENT TO NATO IS ‘DUMB,’ ‘UN-AMERICAN’

Trump has been heavily critical of NATO on the campaign trail in recent weeks, doubling down on his claim that member countries should not receive protection if they do not pay their share toward NATO’s budget.

Stoltenberg did say last week that Trump’s rhetoric does “undermine” the security of the alliance.

“The whole idea of NATO is that an attack on one ally will trigger a response from the whole alliance and as long as we stand behind that message together, we prevent any military attack on any ally,” Stoltenberg said.

“Any suggestion that we are not standing up for each other, that we are not going to protect each other, that does undermine the security of all of us.”

While Stoltenberg expressed concern over Trump’s remarks, the former president’s comment did spark a rush to confirm member countries’ contributions in the coming year.

The NATO chief announced that 18 of the alliance’s 31 members are on track to meet their pledges of contributing 2% of GDP to the group. European states are on track to contribute $380 billion this year, and Germany will meet its 2% pledge for the first time since the Cold War.

The figures show a dramatic uptick compared to 2023, which saw just 11 NATO allies meet their 2% spending pledge.

Young activist has 2 words for Biden, who failed to deliver on core campaign promises

Young climate activists are criticizing President Biden’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2024 election, raising concerns about a victory for former President Trump.

“I’m worried about getting climate activists back,” president of Friends of the Earth Action, Erich Pica, told Politico

Pica added that the Biden campaign needs to speak directly with activists who doubt the candidate’s dedication to environmental issues.

CLIMATE ACTIVISTS ARRESTED AFTER SHUTTING DOWN BIDEN CAMPAIGN HQ: ‘THAT’S BULLS—‘

“I think that is something that the campaign itself has to answer,” he said.

A spokesperson for another climate change activist group, Sunrise, told Politico that young voters have much higher demands for green policy than in previous years.

“Young people have set the bar for what it’s going to take to turn on our generation and mobilize young people to go out to the polls at the level that we did in 2020,” Sunrise spokesperson Stevie O’Hanlon said. “And Joe Biden’s campaign seems to be out of touch with how high that bar is.”

Sunrise is the same group that held a recent protest during which 21 members of the Sunrise Movement were arrested in a protest in Wilmington, Delaware. The young activists blocked the entrance to Biden’s campaign headquarters and demanded an “end the era of fossil fuels.”

The activists warned that, if Biden failed to take definitive action combating climate change, millions of young voters would stay home in November.

HOUSE DELIVERS BLOW TO BIDEN’S CLIMATE AGENDA, VOTES AGAINST NATURAL GAS MORATORIUM

“For these guys to hold a protest, at this moment, creates a nuisance that can be debilitating,” Democratic strategist Mark Longabaugh said. “Just talking about clean energy or regulatory pieces I don’t think are enough to bring those folks along,” he said. “And many of those folks are in swing states that will matter.”

Sunrise campaign director Kidus Girma defended the protest targeted against Biden in a press statement following the demonstration.

“Climate change is at our doorstep. Our homes are flooding, we’re breathing in toxic air, Black people like me are dying while the President expands oil and gas production to record levels,” Girma said after the protest. “Then President Biden goes around and claims he’s a climate president and wants our votes? That’s bulls—.”

Everyday task could get even more annoying in the name of climate change

Lawmakers in New York City are pushing a ban on Tide Pods and other single-use laundry detergent products in the name of climate consciousness.

City Councilman James Gennaro introduced the legislation earlier this month, dubbed the “Pods are Plastic Bill.” It would make it illegal to sell any laundry pods or laundry sheets made with a certain form of alcohol.

“This bill would prohibit the sale of laundry and dishwasher pods, as well as laundry and dishwasher sheets, that include polyvinyl alcohol. It would also require education and outreach to retail and wholesale businesses on compliance with the requirements of this law,” a description of the law reads.

If the bill becomes law, those found to be selling affected products would face an initial fine of $400, followed by an $800 fine for a second offense. Every offense past the second would face a $1,200 fine.

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is the film that contains detergent in Tide Pods and other similar products. It dissolves when coming into contact with water, but studies have argued that the process leaves behind microplastics that go on to pollute the water supply, according to the New York Post.

ERIC ADAMS WARNS NYC IS ‘OUT OF ROOM’ AMID SANCTUARY STRUGGLE: PEOPLE WILL SOON BE ‘SLEEPING ON THE STREETS’

“They [PVAs] are the most concerning of emerging contaminants,” Gennaro told The Post. “It’s important for people to know I’m being very cautious, and we’re taking a science-based approach.”

“But I think the science is ultimately going to bear out. This is something council should act upon,” he added. “I need a little more [information] but I put the bill out to get everyone’s attention.”

If passed, Gennaro’s law would not take effect until Jan. 1, 2026.

Beloved Mr. Rogers inspires actor to take on the ‘woke wolves of Hollywood’

Known for the past few years for his wholesome book readings for kids in public libraries across America, actor, producer and author Kirk Cameron now has a new project he’s announced on Monday morning, Feb. 19.

“Parents and grandparents are sickened and tired of their children being attacked by the woke wolves of Hollywood,” Cameron told Fox News Digital this weekend, ahead of the announcement.

“That’s why I’m continuing to work with Brave Books to dive further into the world of children’s entertainment.”

KIRK CAMERON’S NEW BOOK TEACHES KIDS TO LOVE THY ENEMY IN A WORLD TORN BY CONFLICT: ‘GIVE THEM HOPE’

Cameron and Brave are putting out an “innovative live-action children’s TV show” called “Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk,” the team announced.

It will combine “the timeless moral teachings of ‘Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood’ with modern energy, hilarious dialogue, animated stories and surprise guest stars” – for “a captivating experience for children and parents alike,” according to a press release.

Cameron also told Fox News Digital, “It’s not just time to take back our libraries and literature. It’s time to take back every area of culture that these animals have devoured.”

He said, “Good families are looking for entertainment they can trust – stories that teach children biblically based moral values.”

So “supporting ‘Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is another step forward in creating the culture we want for our future generations.”

ARE TAXPAYER FUNDS BEING USED TO ‘BLOCK’ A KIRK CAMERON PUBLIC LIBRARY EVENT? GOP SENATORS WANT ANSWERS

The series is expected to launch in August 2024.

Trent Talbot, CEO of Brave Books, said in a statement to Fox News Digital, “As parents, we have been forced to settle for mindless entertainment or just downright harmful content. It’s time we had a show for our children that not only sparked their imagination and engaged them, but also built their character and strengthened their worldview while doing so.”

Talbot said, “‘Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ is the right show at the right time and will be the most important children’s television show since ‘Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.’”

The show will star Cameron as Mr. Kirk. Meanwhile, Iggy the Iguana will be puppeteered by John Kennedy, known for two decades of starring roles in shows like “Sesame Street” and “Muppets,” the press release noted.

Actress Leigh-Allyn Baker will play the role of Creative Leigh, the press release also said.

“I miss the days when the kids were off-limits with politics.”

Baker told Fox News Digital in a statement, “Parents want wholesome, enriching content for their children. I find it sad that most of Hollywood is no longer interested in protecting the innocence of children but instead is willing to sacrifice them for the promotion of political, progressive propaganda that checks some boxes for their corporations.”

KIRK CAMERON GREETED BY OVERFLOW NEW YORK LIBRARY CROWD FOR MESSAGE OF FAITH, FAMILY, COUNTRY

She added, “I miss the days when the kids were off-limits with politics. ‘Adventures with Iggy and Mr. Kirk’ lets kids be kids! I’m excited to be part of a show that brings back the good ol’ days in a fun, modern way.”

Cameron said the team created the new program “to fill a void in children’s television,” as the press released indicated.

“Christian parents today struggle to find quality content that reflects their values and captures the attention of modern-day kids. Our show aims to bridge that gap by providing entertainment that is both wholesome and engaging.”

He also said on Monday morning to Fox News Digital via a phone interview, “I don’t underestimate the potential” here. “It feels like we’re just getting buried by Hollywood and its evil agenda to subvert parents and pollute the hearts and minds of children.”

He added, “I know that people whose hearts are in the right place and who are working with all of their might to do what is right can often be the unexpected miracle that changes the game. And I’ve always believed that and want to be a part of that for my generation. That’s why I’m partnering with Brave Books.”

“We want to do it at the highest level of quality … I feel like this could be the most important project I have ever worked on.”

He continued, “We’re not partnering with a big streaming studio or with Hollywood, because their money always has strings attached… We want to stay true to our core values, just like ‘The Chosen.’ They gathered their community and they made it themselves. And that’s why it’s been so remarkable.”

KIRK CAMERON SAYS NEW JERSEY PARENTS ARE FEELING PRESSURE FROM THE LEFT TO TEACH THEIR KIDS ‘WOKE VALUES’

Cameron also said, “I honestly believe that what we’re doing with this children’s television show is unlike any show that has ever been done. It’s blending live action with quality animation with timeless biblical and moral values. And humor that’s going to teach children lessons that have never been needed before.”

He noted, “Mr. Rogers didn’t talk about gender reality. He didn’t talk about critical race theory. He didn’t have to warn children about the dangers of socialism and the removal of the First and Second Amendments. But our children do need to learn those things, because of where we’ve come as a nation.”

And “we want to do it at the highest level of quality, and we want to do it in a way that’s going to be exciting for kids in a way that parents can trust. I feel like this could be the most important project I have ever worked on.”

In late 2023, Cameron released his most recent book for young readers, called “The Fox, The Fair, and the Invention Scare.”

It told the story of how giraffes and foxes ended a long family feud and healed a divided community with courtesy, compassion and kindness.

“Our world is at war, literally,” Cameron told Fox News Digital exclusively in October 2023, citing conflicts between Russians and Ukrainians and Israelis and Palestinians, as well as the culture clash in the United States between traditionalists and leftists.

“And all along our children are watching, trying to make sense of things. If we can show them something different, if we can show them that we’re really all brothers, we can give them hope,” he said.

Former NFL star weighs in on Super Bowl controversy, why 49ers ultimately lost

Former NFL star Cam Newton was among those who were critical of Brock Purdy’s performance in the playoffs as the San Francisco 49ers marched their way to a Super Bowl appearance.

Purdy had a decent performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. He was 23-for-38 with 255 passing yards and a touchdown pass. He was only sacked once.

Newton, on his “4th & 1” podcast, let Purdy off the hook in the 49ers’ 25-22 loss. He pinned it on the coaching decisions and San Francisco deciding to receive the ball first in overtime.

“Field goal versus touchdown, that’s not Brock Purdy,” the former Carolina Panthers quarterback said. “Why the f— did they receive the ball first? It was Tony Romo who mentioned this — when you know what you have to get, now you have four downs to get it, not three.

“The 49ers, they were just trying to get points. And that is not Brock Purdy’s fault, that’s bad coaching. There was too many people who was exposed. They didn’t know the real rules of overtime.”

Newton added that Purdy “played good enough for his team to win.”

FORMER NFL STAR JJ WATT WANTS LEAGUE TO CONSIDER CHANGE FOR HOLDING PENALTIES

The one-time NFL MVP said it was a serious thing that the 49ers players did not know the rules of overtime. Several players admitted as much after the game.

“You know what? I didn’t even realize the playoff rules were different in overtime,” 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk said after the game, via ESPN. “I assume you just want the ball to score a touchdown and win. I guess that’s not the case. I don’t totally know the strategy there. We hadn’t talked about it, no.”

Niners defensive end Arik Armstead also did not know the rules.

“I didn’t even know about the new playoff overtime rule, so it was a surprise to me,” he said, via ESPN. “I didn’t even really know what was going on in terms of that.”

Coach Kyle Shanahan suggested he had a strategy for overtime.

“If both teams matched and scored, we wanted to be the ones with the chance to go win it,” he said. “We got that field goal, so we were hoping to hold them to at least a field goal. If we did, we felt it was in our hands after.”

Athlete stuns NBA’s Slam Dunk contest by jumping over 7-foot Shaquille O’Neal

Mac McClung entered NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis with only four games under his belt at the highest level of basketball, having spent most of his career in the G League.

But it hasn’t stopped him from showcasing his dunking abilities on one of the biggest stages the league has to offer. On Saturday, he showed them again in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, defeating Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, New York Knicks forward Jacob Toppin and Miami Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr.

On his final dunk, McClung put Shaquille O’Neal into a jersey with his name on the back. The 6-foot-2 guard then ran from one side of the court behind O’Neal, took the ball out of the hands of the Basketball Hall of Famer and did a reverse dunk over the 7-foot-1 legend.

McClung earned a perfect score on the dunk. He scored 98.8 points in the final round of the contest to top Brown’s 97.8.

“Shaq was so cool to put that high school jersey on, man, it almost made me emotional that he would do that,” McClung said. “When he put it on, he said, ‘You better not miss it.’ I said, ‘OK, I won’t miss it.’”

CHRIS BROWN SAYS HE WAS UNINVITED FROM NBA CELEBRITY ALL-STAR GAME

McClung, who plays for the Orlando Magic’s G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic, became the sixth player to win at least two dunk contests and the first to win it in back-to-back years since Zach LaVine in 2015 and 2016.

McClung wasn’t sure if he was going to go for a third.

“We’ll think about it,” he said.

Nate Robinson is the only NBA player with three dunk titles, but they didn’t come in a row.

McClung joined the Magic organization after spending last season with the Philadelphia 76ers. He helped the 76ers’ G League team, the Delaware Blue Coasts, win the championship. He was also named the 2022 G League Rookie of the Year for the Los Angeles Lakers’ G League team, the South Bay Lakers.

Last season, McClung earned some time on the 76ers’ main roster weeks after he won the Slam Dunk Contest. But it’s unclear if the Magic will call him up this season.

Customer throws lemonade at teen car wash worker — she responds with her power hose

A teen in Indiana is going viral after she defended herself against a rude customer who threw lemonade in her face inside a car wash.

The video shows Anna Harycki, 18, spraying water from a powerful hose through the open window of a rude customer’s vehicle while working at a car wash.

The 14-second clip shows Harycki power-washing a white sedan when the driver suddenly rolls down her window and chucks lemonade from a plastic cup at her.

In response, Harycki swiftly retaliates, without missing a beat, and sprays the driver with water from her power hose.

“I was loading the car like I did with so many cars before that, making sure they safely entered the car wash belt,” Harycki told What’sTheJam. “Once I pulled the car in all the way, I put the numbers into the system, so they got the car wash they paid for.”

Many viewers have commented on the video, which has gone viral on X, formerly Twitter, saying the customer got what they deserved.

Mamas and The Papas singer made pre-wedding confession to daughter

Chynna Phillips, daughter of The Mamas & The Papas singer John Phillips, says her father dropped a shocking confession in her lap the night before she married her husband Billy Baldwin in 1995.

In a video titled “My Wedding Nightmare” posted to her YouTube channel, Phillips recalled she had “a really intense conversation with my father” on the eve of her nuptials.

“We talked about stuff that was pretty earth-shattering and a lot had come to the surface and my father was having a ton of feelings and, of course, that made me have a ton of feelings and I remember I was up all night just weeping and [felt] numb as well,” she said.

“She continued, “I would weep and then I would go stoic again and then I would weep and then I would go stoic again, and it was because my father had just revealed some really big information to me and I just felt blindsided by it.”

BILLY BALDWIN, CHYNNA PHILLIPS AMONG HOLLYWOOD COUPLES WHO’VE HELD MARRIAGE TOGETHER DESPITE STRUGGLES

Phillips added, “I know it sounds horrible that my dad would do that to me on the night before my wedding, but he didn’t intend to do that, it was more like it just evolved in our conversation the night before I got married.”

The 56-year-old did not disclose what was contained within the confession from her father, but she felt that it was driven by the fact he was giving her away at the wedding.

“And I don’t think it was any coincidence that he was walking me down the aisle with my mother, and I think he felt like he needed to come clean before he walked me down the aisle for his own conscience. I felt that he felt that he needed to do that just so that it was genuine.”

Even though the conversation left her feeling like she was on “autopilot” afterwards and during her wedding, she still found the discussion “priceless.”

“At the same time it was one of the most priceless conversations I’d ever had with my father and it was definitely, bar none, the most honest conversation I’d had with my father, and the most raw and real conversation I’d ever had with my dad,” she said.

Phillips has multiple half-siblings from her father. The eldest, singer Mackenzie Phillips and her brother Jeffrey, are from his first wife Susan Stuart Adams, followed by Bijou Phillips and Tamerlane Phillips, with his third wife Genevieve Waite.

Mackenzie and Phillips spoke about their troubled childhood with their father in a previous video on Phillips YouTube channel, discussing Mackenzie’s allegation that she had a consensual sexual relationship with their father.

According to her 2009 memoir, “High on Arrival,” Mackenzie claimed John had raped her at age 19 and a consensual relationship began that lasted for ten years before she became pregnant. She claimed at that point the incest stopped and she had an abortion.

MACKENZIE PHILLIPS ‘DIDN’T EXPECT’ BACKLASH AFTER REVEALING INCESTUOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH HER FATHER

During her conversation with Mackenzie in her video, Chynna noted, “Obviously, he’s an amazing songwriter and, you know I loved his laugh, and yet there was this whole other side to dad that was, I mean, kind of, like a monster. He was so dark, and you just didn’t know who you were going to get. It was very unpredictable.”

In recalling her conversation with her father before her wedding, Phillips described it as “such a defining moment it my life, that it changed me forever.”

John died in 2001 at the age of 65, but Phillips noted her ongoing conflicting feelings about him, acknowledging his addiction problems and her struggles to forgive him.

“You know it’s easy to say, I forgive you’… but the truth is is that forgiveness takes time, it’s a process,” Phillips said.

She continued, “It’s hard for me to dissect it and to say like ‘Okay, well, what am I forgiving him for? For what he did? The addiction? Abandoning me? Am I forgiving him for using me as pawn, for all the things I saw that I never should have seen as a child?’”

The Wilson-Phillips singer decided “I kind of just had to say like when you’re paid in one lump sum, I just had to say, ‘Okay I’m just going to have to forgive in general, I’m just going to have to forgive all around.’”

Phillips married Baldwin in 1995, and the couple share three children Jameson, Brooke and Vance.

During her video, she also acknowledged the past 10 years have been stressful and her marriage was “in shambles” at one point.

In a video posted earlier this month, she and her husband appeared together to discuss their marriage and admitted to going through a six-month separation period, but insisted they “worked through it.” Phillips noted that she and Baldwin see the world through “very different lenses,” referring to her dedication to Christianity.

Bride’s big day ruined after she overheard comment one wedding guest said to another

A viral wedding drama shared on social media might be giving some future brides the chills.

“A few days ago I went with my boyfriend” to the wedding of one of his distant cousins, a woman wrote on the Reddit page known as AITA (“Am I the a–hole”), a popular site for sharing personal conflicts and other issues that crop up in day-to-day life.

The writer who posted the story, going by the username “KittenGloria,” added that she had never met this cousin or the bride “since my boyfriend sees them [only] one or two times year.”

The writer added of her relationship, “We have been together for almost three years, so he thought it would be a good time to introduce me to them.”

Before the ceremony began, the woman said her boyfriend told her “he wanted to introduce them to me.”

As the couple walked over to meet the newlyweds-to-be, “my boyfriend got a call, so he told me to wait a moment.”

The woman waited for her boyfriend to finish his call.

Then, “two minutes after that, I saw a woman [wearing] a beautiful wedding dress,” wrote the poster on Reddit.

FRIENDS AT ODDS IN DRESS DRAMA AS BRIDE INSISTS ON NEW BRIDESMAID GOWN NO MATTER WHAT

“I said hello, and then I congratulated her for the wedding — and this is when things went wrong,” she related.

“The woman I was talking to wasn’t the bride,” she said.

It turns out “the bride heard what I said (she was in a room near us, but I didn’t notice ’cause everything was silent),” the woman explained in her post.

The bride “got upset and started crying,” the woman continued in her story.

“When my boyfriend approached us, I explained the situation.”

The boyfriend then apparently called the bride’s family to try to help “calm” the situation.

The woman on Reddit added, “My boyfriend and his family reassured me, saying it wasn’t my fault — but the bride, her mom and the groom are upset with me.”

They apparently are telling the woman that “it’s all my fault,” she said.

But “I never saw [the bride’s] face” ahead of the wedding — “so when I saw a woman in a wedding dress, I immediately thought she was the bride.

“I still feel bad, so a friend suggested [that I] post [the story on] Reddit to have some outside opinions.”

Over 5,000 people have reacted so far to the personal story, with responders deciding overall that the woman was not in the wrong for what she did.

One responder named “definitelywitch” said the woman was not to blame, “but I wonder if she really is upset with you,” this commenter said.

“It seems so weird that she would be angry at a person who she’s never met before being confused because someone else decided to wear white [at] her wedding.”

This same commenter added it seems likely that “A, she was actually mad at [the other woman] for wearing white and trying to hijack attention, but she displaced her anger [toward] you as a less threatening target; and B, she was simply overwhelmed and very emotional on the big day, and it just exploded at that moment.”

“Do not think about it again. Live your life and be happy.”

Wrote another individual whose comment was also highly “upvoted” by others, “This doesn’t make sense. Who was this other person walking around wearing a wedding dress? If anything, the bride would be upset with her, not you. Stop feeling bad. You did nothing wrong.”

Another responder to the drama urged people to “chill out” about the whole thing.
