As the dust is settling from the first debate between President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the political elites are failing to understand how badly Harris failed to achieve her objectives.
Nothing better illustrates the gap between reality and our political elite (including a number of famous Republicans) than their complete misreading of what happened in the clash between the ABC News-Harris Team and the lone opponent, President Trump.
Every Trump supporter and independent witnessed the astounding dishonesty of ABC’s moderators (who were actually active debaters helping Harris take on President Trump). Their reaction has been outrage and, in some cases, a condemnation of ABC and Vice President Harris.
FOUR WAYS TRUMP CAN GET TO A 96% CHANCE OF WINNING
One observer said to me, “They didn’t have to give her the questions, she was clearly giving them the questions.” The fact that one of her closest friends is also in charge of ABC News just further confirmed for many Americans that the fix was in and the whole thing was rigged.
Trump’s base is 48 percent of Americans who feel there is a corrupt establishment trying to control their lives and rip them off. The spectacle of ABC News so blatantly rigging the fight just confirmed everything they already believed and firmly placed Harris in the corrupt establishment wing. Walking through three airports on Thursday, I was greeted by dozens of people who were infuriated by the debate and bitterly angry at how stupid Harris thinks they are.
The fact is, authenticity beats wearing a mask. Being yourself beats trying to be the person your consultants have trained you to be. This has always been true in American politics.
Harris further hurt herself by spending a large part of her listening time making faces and looking cute. It was the behavior of a spoiled teenager, not a commander-in-chief.
The elites value style over substance. They would like everyone to behave as though they were at a Washington cocktail party.
MORNING GLORY: THE WORST DEBATE IN THE HISTORY OF PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES
Most Americans are not so highfalutin. Most Americans do not appreciate well-dressed, clever people treating them as if they are ignorant and incapable of realizing when they are being manipulated and lied to.
The simple fact is: Vice President Harris can’t tell the truth, because an honest admission of her beliefs – and the failures of the last three-and-a-half years – would doom her campaign. The ABC team did all it could to stop President Trump from telling the truth about her. The most glaring example was the blunt intervention that there were no states in which babies could be left to die after they were born. That was an outright lie. The truth is that in Tim Walz’s Minnesota at least eight babies have been left to die after botched abortions. It is a matter of public record. If you want a pro-infanticide vice president, then “Tampon Tim” is your guy.
President Trump’s great attraction to the supporters who have been with him through thick and thin is precisely that he is not an effete, fawning, dishonest, and manipulative cretin from the governing class. Remember, they’ve stuck with him through the Russia hoax, a multiyear investigation, two impeachments, multiple lawsuits and slanderous attacks by the leftwing propaganda media.
You can like him or dislike him, admire him or disdain him, but what you get is the authentic Trump.
UNDECIDED VOTERS NOT SWAYED BY LAST DEBATE, ‘STILL ON THE FENCE’ ABOUT THE ELECTION: REPORT
So, we had a debate between the privileged, protected elitist Princess of the Left and a down-to-earth guy who people understand. It isn’t that President Trump can’t function in high society and country clubs. He owns country clubs (Callista and I see him occasionally at Trump National in Washington). He can afford as many tuxedos as any politician in the country. But he is a regular guy who never hides who he really is.
The fact is, authenticity beats wearing a mask. Being yourself beats trying to be the person your consultants have trained you to be. This has always been true in American politics.
The elites completely misread the outcome of the debate, because they valued style over substance. Furthermore, they expected and accepted that ABC would be dishonest, one-sided and arrogantly abrasive. As elitists, they figured that an outsider like President Trump deserved that kind of treatment.

The great genius of the Founding Fathers was understanding that freedom ultimately depends upon all the people – not just the elite. Further, Abraham Lincoln’s admonition that with popular sentiment, anything is possible. Without popular sentiment nothing is possible,” is still true.
As the polls come in and show that Trump’s authenticity and substance beat the ABC-Harris team’s dishonesty and overtrained style, go back and read the columns and quotes of those who totally misread what happened. Take note of who simply does not understand the wisdom of the American people.

The great Democratic political consultant Joe Napolitan warned, “Never underestimate the intelligence of the American people nor overestimate the amount of information they have.”
On Tuesday night, Vice President Harris underestimated the intelligence of the people she wants to lead. She then compounded her mistake by giving them the information about what a bad president she would be.

Members of the rock band Jane’s Addiction were were brawling at their concert in Boston on Friday night.
In a video captured and shared on social media, frontman Perry Farrell could be seen throwing a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro in a heated exchange.
Farrell, 65, lunged his body in a forceful manner towards Navarro, 57, onstage. The guitarist appeared to place his hands on the frontman’s chest in an apparent bid to stop him from moving forward.
MORGAN WALLEN FANS BRAWL OVER PORT-A-POTTIES AT PITTSBURGH CONCERT, VIRAL VIDEO SHOWS
During the tense encounter, Farrell appeared to be yelling at Navarro until he threw a punch at the guitarist.
Security guards quickly broke up the fight and told Farrell to “stop,” while they held him down to prevent attacking the guitarist further.
Navarro grabbed Farrell’s arm, and he was enraged, as he attempted to attack the guitarist again.
Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau, spoke out about the altercation on her social media and explained the events that unfolded.
“Rather than speculating, I thought to post a first person account of what happened on stage with Jane’s Addiction last night at the Lender Pavilion in Boston,” Lau wrote on her Instagram.
“Clearly there had been a lot of tension and animosity between the members.. the magic that made the band so dynamic. Well, the dynamite was lit. Perry got up in Dave’s face and body checked him,” she explained.
Lau added that the fight stemmed from Perry’s patience wearing thin, as his health wasn’t in the best condition ahead of the band’s performance.

“Perry’s frustration had been mounting, night after night, he felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band,” she continued.
“Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night. But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was [playing] too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it.”
In Lau’s lengthy post, she wrote that Eric Avery, the founding bass guitarist and co-songwriter of Jane’s Addiction, is the one who “won the fight.”

“Eric walked up to Perry, upstage, in the dark… put Perry in a headlock and punched him in the stomach three times. Kevin, crewmember with a long hair… pulled Eric away. Then Eric nonchalant walked off to the front of the stage to apologize to audience for the show ended early.”
She went on to say that the aftermath of the concert brawl ended with Eric taking “a few cheap shots on Perry.”
“Perry was a crazed beast for the next half an hour – he finally did not calm down, but did breakdown and cried and cried.”
She accompanied her caption with a video of the Jane’s Addiction band members fighting on stage.

Video emerges from minutes after Laken Riley’s murder by illegal immigrant suspect
FIRST ON FOX – Georgia prosecutors are pushing back against Laken Riley murder suspect Jose Ibarra’s request to bar certain evidence from the case, alleging that there are specific items such as a bloody jacket, gloves and a fingerprint tying him to the brutal crime.
Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela, is accused of attacking and killing Riley, 22, while she was out for a run along dirt trails on the University of Georgia campus in Athens on the morning of Feb. 22.
Last month, Ibarra asked an Athens-Clarke County court for a hearing to suppress a list of evidentiary items, including cellphones, a buccal swab and social media accounts, arguing that those items were unlawfully collected by law enforcement, and detectives entered his residence without a search warrant.
Prosecutors say law enforcement entered Ibarra’s Athens apartment near UGA’s campus — which he shared with his two brothers, also living in the United States illegally from Venezuela — because they feared the four people who were inside the apartment less than 12 hours after Riley’s murder might “destroy evidence,” court documents filed this week state.
LAKEN RILEY MURDER: ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SUSPECT IN GEORGIA COLLEGE STUDENT SLAYING ASKS TO HIDE CERTAIN EVIDENCE
“The State anticipates that the evidence will show that shortly after the murder of Laken Riley, local law enforcement officers were looking for a person or persons depicted in two different videos. One video was taken from near and around University Village housing building ‘S’ that was associated with the peeping Tom incident,” prosecutors wrote. “The other video was taken at the dumpster of the apartment complex that abuts UGA property and is less than one half mile away from where Laken Riley was murdered.”
A Georgia grand jury in May indicted Ibarra on counts of malice murder, two counts of kidnapping with bodily injury, two counts of aggravated assault with intent to rape, two counts of aggravated battery, obstructing or hindering a person from making a 911 call, tampering with evidence and being a “peeping Tom.”
SUSPECT IN LAKEN RILEY’S MURDER IS INDICTED
The suspect is accused of causing Riley’s death by inflicting blunt-force trauma to her head and “asphyxiating her in a manner unknown to jurors,” the indictment states. He is also accused of going to a residence on UGA’s campus, where he “peeped through” a window and “spied upon” a university staff member on the same day he allegedly killed Riley, the indictment alleges.
Prosecutors say the video depicting a person near a dumpster at Ibarra’s apartment complex near UGA is clear and “depicts a Latino male disposing of a bloody jacket with long dark hair on it and bloody gloves less than 30 minutes after the murder of Laken Riley and within a half mile from her body.”
LAKEN RILEY MURDER SUSPECT JOSE IBARRA PLEADS NOT GUILTY, MOTHER SOBS IN COURT
“The dumpster video further shows the Latino male was wearing a black baseball cap with a white adidas logo, white script underneath the logo, and a sticker on the bill of the hat,” prosecutors stated.
Less than 12 hours after the man in the video is seen disposing of the bloody jacket and gloves, an Athens-Clarke County Sheriff’s Office sergeant was patrolling Ibarra’s apartment complex and “saw in public, in plain view, walking in the apartment complex in broad daylight, a Latino male who was wearing the ‘identical’ hat that was seen in the dumpster video.”
LAKEN RILEY’S FATHER SAYS SUSPECT ‘MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN HERE’ IF BORDER WAS SECURE
The officer began speaking to the man in the hat, who identified himself as Diego Ibarra, Jose Ibarra’s older brother, who presented a fraudulent green card to the officer. The sergeant detained Diego until another officer, who was fluent in Spanish, arrived to speak with Diego.
At that point, authorities determined “that there was probable cause to believe that evidence of the crime of murder could be located inside the apartment and decided that exigency required them to secure the apartment pending the application of a search warrant for fear of additional destruction of evidence. This decision was a reasonable one that does not offend the Fourth Amendment,” prosecutors wrote in court documents.

“To require the officers in this case to remain outside Defendant’s apartment while unknown parties inside continued to destroy evidence of the murder as the officers obtained a search warrant would defy common sense and be patently unreasonable,” prosecutors continued.
They are also arguing against Jose Ibarra’s request to exclude testimony from a witness who performed DNA testing during Riley’s autopsy, alleging that the results “did not exclude Defendant, but also did not exclude another known individual associated with the case.”

Prosecutors say the DNA evidence in Jose Ibarra’s case “come from significant and relevant items of evidence such as: Laken Riley’s fingernails, the discarded bloody gloves, the black adidas baseball cap, and the blue ‘hoodie’ style jacket and all report a match statistic that will aid the jury in its determination of the guilt or innocence of Defendant for the crimes charged in the indictment.”
Additionally, detectives apparently identified Jose Ibarra’s “thumb print on Laken Riley’s cellular telephone.”

The 26-year-old suspect illegally crossed into the United States through El Paso, Texas, in September 2022 and was released into the U.S. via parole, ICE and DHS sources previously told Fox News. His older brother, Diego Ibarra, is charged with green card fraud and had ties to a known Venezuelan gang in the U.S., according to federal court documents.

UGA said in a February statement following Riley’s death that the school has invested $16 million “over the last eight years to hire more police officers, install more security cameras, enhance lighting, establish a nightly rideshare program, and create a UGASafe app.”
Since February, the school has committed more than $7.3 million to more safety measures, including a 20% increase to UGA’s police budget, emergency blue lights, and a university-focused rideshare program.
Ibarra’s trial is scheduled to take place in November.
3 Americans in foreign country sentenced to death after coup attempt
Three American citizens have been sentenced to death in Congo after being convicted on charges of participating in a coup attempt, with one telling a court that his father — who led the failed effort — “had threatened to kill us if we did not follow his orders.”
A lawyer representing 21-year-olds Marcel Malanga and Tyler Thompson Jr. and 36-year-old Benjamin Reuben Zalman-Polun, is now planning to appeal the verdict following the botched attack orchestrated by Malanga’s father, Christian Malanga, in May that targeted the presidential palace and a close ally of President Felix Tshisekedi.
“We have seen that a military court in the Democratic Republic of Congo sentenced a number of defendants, including U.S. citizens, to death for alleged involvement in the May 19th attacks against the government,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said Friday. “We understand that the legal process in the DRC allows for defendants to appeal the court’s decision. Embassy staff have been attending these proceedings … We’ll continue to attend the proceedings and follow the developments closely.”
When asked if he thought the court process was fair, Miller responded, “I don’t want to pass judgment on the proceedings so far, because we are still in the middle of the legal process.”
AMERICANS IN ALLEGED CONGO COUP PLOT FORMED AN UNLIKELY BAND
Six people were killed during the botched coup attempt, including Christian Malanga, who was fatally shot while resisting arrest soon after live-streaming the attack on his social media, the Congolese army said.
Marcel Malanga, who is a U.S. citizen, told a court during the case that his father had forced him and his high school friend to take part in the attack, according to The Associated Press.
“Dad had threatened to kill us if we did not follow his orders,” Marcel Malanga reportedly said.
Other members of the ragtag militia recounted similar threats from the elder Malanga, and some described being duped into believing they were working for a volunteer organization, the AP adds. Marcel’s mother, Brittney Sawyer, maintains that her son is innocent and was simply following his father, who considered himself president of a shadow government in exile.
FLASHBACK: CONGO HASN’T ALLOWED US ACCESS TO AMERICANS ARRESTED IN COUP ATTEMPT, EMBASSY SAYS
Thompson Jr. flew to Africa from Utah with the younger Malanga for what his family believed was a free vacation, and Zalman-Polun is reported to have known Christian Malanga through a gold mining company.
Thompson’s family says he had no knowledge of the elder Malanga’s intentions, no plans for political activism and didn’t even plan to enter Congo. He and the Malangas were meant to travel only to South Africa and Eswatini, his stepmother, Miranda Thompson, told the AP.
“We urge all who have supported Tyler and the family throughout this process to write to your congressmen and request their assistance in bringing him home,” their lawyer in Utah, Skye Lazaro, said to the news agency, adding that the family is heartbroken over the verdict.
Sen. Mike Lee and a spokesperson for Sen. Mitt Romney said they are both engaged with the State Department over the matter.

In addition to the three Americans, a Briton, a Belgian and a Canadian were sentenced to death after being convicted of participating in the plot, along with 27 others.
GOP chair makes bold claim after VP Harris’ campaign rakes in ‘historic’ fundraising haul
Former President Trump’s 2024 campaign and the Republican National Committee are facing a fundraising deficit to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
But RNC chair Michael Whatley vows that the Trump campaign and the GOP’s national committee “absolutely have the resources” to win in November.
Harris’ campaign, touting an “historic, 24-hour haul,” this week showcased their fundraising prowess in the immediate aftermath of the first and potentially only debate between the vice president and Trump.
The money raked in by the Harris campaign was the latest sign of the vice president’s surge in fundraising in the nearly two months since she replaced President Biden atop the Democrats’ 2024 national ticket.
WHAT THE LATEST FOX NEWS POWER RANKING IN THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE SHOW
Word of the post-debate fundraising comes a week after the Harris campaign announced that they hauled in $361 million in August, nearly triple the $130 million raised by the Trump campaign.
Asked about the fundraising, Whatley in a Fox News Digital interview Tuesday at the presidential debate in Philadelphia, responded that “the Democrats have a ton of money. The Democrats always have a ton of money.”
HARRIS AND TRUMP HOLD DUELING RALLIES IN KEY BATTLEGROUNDS
But he emphasized that “we absolutely have the resources that we need to get our message out to all the voters that we’re talking to and feel very comfortable that we’re going to be able to see this campaign through and we’re going to win on November 5.”
Longtime Republican strategist and communicator Ryan Williams noted that in the 2016 presidential election, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton “vastly out raised Donald Trump and it didn’t make a difference. He was able to essentially commandeer free media and push his message without having to spend a lot of money on TV ads.”
“People have an opinion about Donald Trump. You can run tens of millions of dollars in negative ads against him but the cake’s kind of already baked in terms of his public perception,” added Williams, a veteran on multiple GOP presidential campaigns. “Harris is less known and less defined. I think the Trump campaign will have adequate resources to define her.”
The Harris campaign highlights that it is investing much of its fundraising dollars into its grassroots outreach and get-out-the vote efforts, noting that it’s “putting its resources to reach the voters who will decide the election.”

The large ground game operation, originally constructed when Biden was the nominee, according to the campaign, includes over 312 offices and more than 2,000 staff in the key battlegrounds coordinated between the presidential campaign, the DNC, and state Democratic parties.
In a straight Harris campaign and the DNC comparison to the Trump campaign and the RNC, the Democrats enjoy a sizable ground game advantage. But Trump is relying on a handful of aligned outside groups to help run turnout operations that are traditionally performed by a presidential campaign.
Whatley took issue with the suggestion that the Democrats enjoyed a stronger get-out-the-vote operation.
“No, they don’t have a stronger ground game. I feel very, very comfortable about the ground game we’re putting in place through Trump Force 47,” the RNC chair told Fox News Digital.
Williams emphasized that “the ground game will be critical given how tight the margins are in the key battleground states and could tip the balance of the election.”
“In this race, where each critical race seems to be within a point, the ground game can make a difference, and you need resources, and you need organization to run an effective ground game, to identify persuadable voters and turn them out,” he added. “Democrats will have a very formidable operation and in many states will try to bank votes early.”
CNN host’s on-air admission about VP Harris: ‘People don’t really know her policies’
CNN host Sara Sidner recently wondered what Vice President Kamala Harris needs to do to show people who she is, as some are still confused about her actual policies.
During a recent segment of CNN News Central, Sidner probed Politico National Political Correspondent Meredith McGraw about how Harris can properly introduce herself to voters, noting that continued polling shows that Americans don’t really know what she has to offer as a presidential candidate.
“That’s the thing that keeps coming up in voting as well, that people don’t really know what her policies are all about,” the host said to McGraw.
BERNIE SANDERS SAYS HARRIS DROPPING FAR-LEFT POLICIES ‘IN ORDER TO WIN THE ELECTION’
Sidner’s reporting indicated that even though many mainstream media pundits and voters found Harris to be the winner of the presidential debate with former President Trump on Monday night, the evening didn’t quite make clear her positions on issues.
The host asked McGraw, “Meridith, when you are looking at this race and you sort of see some of the things that are being done, does she, Kamala Harris, need to do more to explain to the public what her policies are?”
The Politico reporter agreed, noting that “one of the big questions” that voters continue to have is, where are the policies.
“What are her policies? How is she going to try to differentiate herself from President Biden? And who is Kamala Harris?” the reporter asked, listing the various questions Americans have about the Democratic candidate.
The reporter talked about Trump having the advantage in this area, saying, “You know a lot of voters know Donald Trump – know who he is – and one of the goals of the Harris campaign has been trying to introduce her to the public and help the public understand who she is, what her story is.”
VOTERS REPORT KAMALA HARRIS IS MORE RADICAL THAN TRUMP: ‘TOO LIBERAL OR PROGRESSIVE’
“And that’s something we saw on the debate stage, you know her talking about her upbringing and trying to help voters get where she’s coming from,” McGraw stated, though she noted the debate performance wasn’t enough to familiarize voters with her actual agenda.
“But, you know, for the Harris campaign, they’re really going to have to try to articulate, I think, more clearly to voters exactly what some of her policy points are as she gets out there on the campaign trail,” she said, adding, “And we know from the campaign that she’s going to be doing more interviews, something we haven’t seen her do a lot of in the past weeks.”
Throughout her campaign – since being endorsed by President Biden as his replacement on the presidential ticket – Harris has been criticized for avoiding formal press conferences and sit-down interviews.
So far, the Harris-Walz campaign has sat down for at least 49 interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket was formed, compared to just 10 non-scripted interviews for the Democratic presidential ticket thus far.
McGraw also told Sidner that Harris is “going to be, you know, really trying to expand on her outreach to voters that have questions about who she is and what her policies are” from now until November.
The Harris campaign did not immediately reply to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Owner who sold mansion at discount sues realtor for not disclosing celebrity buyer
The man who sold Jeff Bezos his posh mansion for $79 million near Miami Beach is suing the realtor who handled the sale, saying the realtor concealed the name of the buyer, potentially costing him up to $6 million.
Leo Kryss, co-founder of Brazilian toy and electronics company Tectoy, filed a lawsuit against Douglas Elliman, alleging the real estate firm’s CEO told him personally that Bezos was not the buyer of the seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom home, which sits on a 2.8-acre estate, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“Douglas Elliman failed to fulfill their duties to our client. … They knew or should have known who the ultimate beneficial purchaser was and misrepresented that very important fact to our client,” Dana Clayton, an attorney for Kryss, told the newspaper.
FOX Business has reached out to Bezos.
Kryss put the home up for sale last year with an $85 million price tag. Bezos initially purchased the property next door for $68 million. He later anonymously made a $79 million offer for Kyrss’s estate.
JEFF BEZOS SETS NEW LA REAL ESTATE RECORD WITH $165M BEVERLY HILLS BUY
Kyrss asked if Bezos was the person who put in the offer. His lawsuit states Douglas Elliman CEO Jay Parker said Bezos was not the buyer and that the purchaser would not agree to go above $79 million for the property.
The lawsuit alleges that Celine Klepach, the real estate agent who handled the sale, is the daughter of Benny Klepach, the mayor of Indian Creek, the newspaper reported.
He allegedly led Kryss to believe that the property was being bought for the Klepach family, the Journal reported.
After the sale. Kyrss learned that Bezos had made the offer. He wouldn’t have agreed to cut down the price by 7% had he known, Kryss’s lawsuit states.

Bill Maher says Taylor Swift ‘saved democracy’ with her Kamala Harris endorsement
“Real Time” host Bill Maher had a lot to celebrate following Taylor Swift‘s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Let’s get to the big news this week: Taylor Swift finally told people who to vote for,” Maher said during a panel discussion Friday.
“Of course, immediately the response from the other side was, ‘Celebrity endorsements don’t matter.’ People are always so behind on these things, you know. That’s the conventional wisdom for a long time. Many celebrity endorsements don’t work, not in this case, okay?” Maher continued. I mean, just the number of people who immediately were registered from that tweet.”
TAYLOR SWIFT’S ENDORSEMENT OF HARRIS DRAWS MIXED REACTION FROM VOTERS: ‘IT IS HUGE AND IT IS UNFORTUNATE’
To further prove his point, the HBO host then argued “we live in Starf—er America.”
“I mean, George Clooney is the one who got Biden to step down, I wrote the exact same editorial they did and so many other people did too. Nobody cared! As soon as George Clooney said it, he’s got to go,” Maher exclaimed.

Later in the show, Maher added that the music superstar has “saved democracy” by throwing her support behind Harris.
TRUMP SAYS TAYLOR SWIFT ENDORSING HARRIS WAS ‘JUST A QUESTION OF TIME’
In February, when President Biden was the presumptive Democratic nominee, Maher insisted Swift could “literally swing the election” in his favor with an endorsement.
“I’ve hesitated to cover Taylor Swift like it’s a national news story, but I swear to God- and for all my years of experience doing this, this is a national news story in the sense that this is a person who could literally swing the election,” Maher said at the time. “I don’t know what that says about this country, but I would just say to the MAGA people, you should be very careful attacking her because this is someone who transcends parties.”

Swift announced her endorsement shortly after Tuesday’s presidential debate.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
