‘Train wreck’ viral moment proves VP Harris is ‘unprepared for office,’ critics warn

Social media users declared that Vice President Kamala Harris’ first solo sit-down interview this week proved that she does not have what it takes to assume the office of the presidency.

Harris’ interview with Philadelphia’s 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff went viral on social media Friday as it featured her giving answers that were criticized as being overlong and devoid of substance about her actual economic policies.

Harris’ critics on X claimed that the conversation proved her unfitness for office. “Oh my goodness this is an absolute train wreck,” digital strategist Greg Price wrote about the interview on the social media platform.

TRUMP APPEARS TO LEAVE DOOR OPEN FOR SECOND DEBATE WITH HARRIS: ‘MAYBE IF I GOT IN THE RIGHT MOOD’

The vice president’s interview took a ton of heat online for one answer in particular, where she gave a meandering response about growing up middle class to a direct question about what policies she will enact to provide economic relief to Pennsylvanians.

“When we talk about bringing down prices and making life more affordable for people, what are one or two specific things you have in mind for that?” Taff asked.

Harris replied, stating, “Well, I’ll start with this. I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother raised my sister and me. She worked very hard. She was able to finally save up enough money to buy our first house when I was a teenager.”

The Democratic candidate continued: “I grew up in a community of hard-working people, you know, construction workers and nurses and teachers. And I try to explain to some people who may not have had the same experience. You know, a lot of people will relate to this.”

At first, Harris declined to mention any policy, continuing to go on about growing “up in a neighborhood of folks who were very proud of their lawn.” After more dialogue about her mother, she finally touted her proposals to give start-up businesses a “$50,000 tax deduction” and new home buyers a “$25,000 down payment assistance.”

VOTERS GIVE HARRIS THE WIN, BUT PRAISE TRUMP ON POLICY: SHE GOT UNDER HIS SKIN

For some X users, the answer offered more proof of Harris being unqualified for office.

Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra wrote, “This interview that Kamala Harris gave is truly staggering. Never have seen a politician this nervous, this unprepared for the office they are running for, and this clueless headed into an election. Kind of scary to be honest.”

Culture reporter Matt Kadish remarked, “Usually, going through the primary process weeds out the people who aren’t ready for prime time. Womp, Womp.”

Author Tim Murtaugh claimed, “Kamala Harris is getting roasted over her first solo (taped) TV interview tonight and there are no Democrat accounts out here defending her.”

The Trump War Room X account compared Harris’ interview answers to similar answers she gave during her debate with former President Trump.

The account stated, “Kamala during the debate on the economy: ‘I grew up a middle class kid…’ Kamala three days later on the economy: ‘I grew up a middle class kid…’ She has no plan for America; all she can do is repeat the same rehearsed talking points.”

The Harris campaign did not immediately to Fox News Digital‘s request for comment.

3 Americans abroad sentenced to death in coup attempt, family begs US government to step in

Three American citizens have been sentenced to death in Congo after being convicted on charges of participating in a coup attempt, with one telling a court that his father — who led the failed effort — “had threatened to kill us if we did not follow his orders.”

A lawyer representing 21-year-olds Marcel Malanga and Tyler Thompson Jr. and 36-year-old Benjamin Reuben Zalman-Polun, is now planning to appeal the verdict following the botched attack orchestrated by Malanga’s father, Christian Malanga, in May that targeted the presidential palace and a close ally of President Felix Tshisekedi.

“We have seen that a military court in the Democratic Republic of Congo sentenced a number of defendants, including U.S. citizens, to death for alleged involvement in the May 19th attacks against the government,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said Friday. “We understand that the legal process in the DRC allows for defendants to appeal the court’s decision. Embassy staff have been attending these proceedings … We’ll continue to attend the proceedings and follow the developments closely.”

When asked if he thought the court process was fair, Miller responded, “I don’t want to pass judgment on the proceedings so far, because we are still in the middle of the legal process.”

AMERICANS IN ALLEGED CONGO COUP PLOT FORMED AN UNLIKELY BAND

Six people were killed during the botched coup attempt, including Christian Malanga, who was fatally shot while resisting arrest soon after live-streaming the attack on his social media, the Congolese army said.

Marcel Malanga, who is a U.S. citizen, told a court during the case that his father had forced him and his high school friend to take part in the attack, according to The Associated Press.

“Dad had threatened to kill us if we did not follow his orders,” Marcel Malanga reportedly said.

Other members of the ragtag militia recounted similar threats from the elder Malanga, and some described being duped into believing they were working for a volunteer organization, the AP adds. Marcel’s mother, Brittney Sawyer, maintains that her son is innocent and was simply following his father, who considered himself president of a shadow government in exile.

FLASHBACK: CONGO HASN’T ALLOWED US ACCESS TO AMERICANS ARRESTED IN COUP ATTEMPT, EMBASSY SAYS

Thompson Jr. flew to Africa from Utah with the younger Malanga for what his family believed was a free vacation, and Zalman-Polun is reported to have known Christian Malanga through a gold mining company.

Thompson’s family says he had no knowledge of the elder Malanga’s intentions, no plans for political activism and didn’t even plan to enter Congo. He and the Malangas were meant to travel only to South Africa and Eswatini, his stepmother, Miranda Thompson, told the AP.

“We urge all who have supported Tyler and the family throughout this process to write to your congressmen and request their assistance in bringing him home,” their lawyer in Utah, Skye Lazaro, said to the news agency, adding that the family is heartbroken over the verdict.

Sen. Mike Lee and a spokesperson for Sen. Mitt Romney said they are both engaged with the State Department over the matter.

In addition to the three Americans, a Briton, a Belgian and a Canadian were sentenced to death after being convicted of participating in the plot, along with 27 others.

Bill Maher makes bold 2024 prediction, sparking big reaction: ‘I think it’s over’

“Real Time” host Bill Maher made a bold prediction about who will win the 2024 election following the first presidential debate between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I’m gonna make this a very momentous night with a prediction,” Maher began his panel discussion Friday night. “Because I have the credibility for this prediction, because I had been called a ‘Trump alarmist’ for a very long time. They were wrong, I was right- he wasn’t gonna leave power. But ever since then and since the [Access Hollywood] tape… and he survived that. Every time he’s done crazy s— and gotten himself in trouble, I said ‘No, no. It’s not over.'”

“Tonight I’m saying- I think it’s over,” Maher said, sparking cheers from his liberal audience.

He continued, “Even before we were around, there was a guy named Joe McCarthy in the early 50s, and he had a hold on America… Two or three years, he was the biggest thing, and then it was just- and I feel like ‘eating the dogs,’ we’re at this point.”

BILL MAHER MOCKS FLIP FLOPS FROM HARRIS AND WALZ IN CNN INTERVIEW: ‘JUST INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE’

GOP pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson responded by telling Maher, “I do not share your confidence.”

“I know people don’t think that the polls are very accurate. So setting all of that aside, the reality is that people have known Donald Trump and known who he is for a very long time,” Soltis Anderson said. “And when you ask people, ‘Do you need to know more about these candidates?’ With Kamala Harris, they say yes, like three in ten people say ‘I feel like I need to know more in order to make a decision.’ But when you ask that about Donald Trump, only a fraction of voters say that they do. And so people know who he is, and yet he’s still competitive. You look at these battleground states, they’re still 50-50. He’s hanging in there.”

“It will be tight on Election Day, as always it will. The polls will be tight, and then he’ll lose. That’s my prediction. We’ll see,” Maher doubled down.

MAHER CALLS OUT CNN ‘GUSHING’ OVER KAMALA HARRIS TO NETWORK ANCHOR: YOUR HOSTS ‘COME ACROSS’ AS DEMOCRATS

Soltis Anderson went on to call Harris a “blank slate” to most voters and suggested progressives are allowing her to get away with sounding like an “RNC 2004 keynote speaker,” pointing to her debate comments about owning a gun and touting the endorsement of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

“I want to push back on your assessment,” Maher told her. “I don’t think anything she’s saying now makes her conservative, actually… I just think this shows how far we’ve moved. Where she was in 2019, in 2020 was super far left, super what we call ‘woke.’ I know people don’t like that term, but okay, that’s where she was. Now I feel like she’s just, like, center left. I mean, I don’t know that fracking, even fracking has to be something that we demean this way. I mean, what we’re trying to do is get the environment to its best place, right?”

Despite Maher’s own assessment of Harris’ political pivot, Soltis Anderson insisted she wasn’t out of the woods just yet.

“The problem I think she has is that she has so many positions from the past that she has changed a lot on,” the pollster said. “And I don’t think in that debate, she got pressed nearly hard enough on why have you had this conversion, besides this new position is really popular in Pennsylvania?”

Trump sends direct message to Adam Schiff’s GOP opponent in California Senate race

Former President Trump told reporters on Friday that California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Garvey “hasn’t reached out to MAGA” after the presidential nominee was asked why he hadn’t endorsed Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff’s opponent.

“I don’t know much about Steve Garvey. I think he’s made a big mistake because he hasn’t reached out to MAGA,” Trump said outside his Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes following a press conference where he spoke out against “Comrade Kamala Harris and the communist left.”

He said if the former Major League Baseball star Garvey “doesn’t have MAGA, he has no chance.”

Trump was fundraising in California Thursday and Friday.

EX-MLB STAR CALLS ON SOROS-BACKED DA TO PROSECUTE LA SYNAGOGUE ATTACKERS: ‘UNCONSCIONABLE’

“Well, I haven’t spoken to him,” Trump added of Garvey. “I’m hearing he wants the MAGA endorsement, but he’s got to call me. If he had the MAGA endorsement, he could win. If you had an honest election he’d win, but you don’t have an honest election.”

Garvey previously told FOX 11 he voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020.

He told Fox News Digital in a statement, “Since day one, I’ve ran a different type of campaign, I have not taken or asked for a single political endorsement. The only endorsements I want are from the law enforcement community and first responders. This week, we launched a historic campaign dedicating all of our resources to talk with California’s Latino community from now until the election.

“My focus is, and always has been, on the issues that truly matter to Californians — affordability, public safety, securing the border, fixing the homelessness crisis and restoring California’s leadership. I’m running a ‘Steve Garvey’ campaign for all the people of California, not for partisan or special interests. I’m committed to tackling the challenges that families and communities face every day and making sure that California has the voice it deserves in Washington.”

Trump also disparaged Schiff as “one of the sleaziest politicians in history, Crooked Adam Schiff. He’s one of the most disgusting human beings and to think he’s going to be a senator. That’s why you need me as president, because this guy is a sleazebag.”

He called it “impossible to believe” Schiff could represent the area.

TRUMP ACCEPTS LARGEST POLICE UNION ENDORSEMENT, BLASTS HARRIS AS A ‘DEFUNDER’: ‘KAMALA’S CRIME WAVE’

The former president has long disliked the Los Angeles-area congressman, who served as the lead impeachment manager in Trump’s first Senate trial and was a vocal critic throughout his presidency.

Schiff responded to Trump’s comments about him on X, writing, “I don’t think he likes me.”

“Steve Garvey’s a nice guy. I don’t know him at all,” Trump told reporters. “But if he doesn’t reach out to MAGA, he has absolutely no chance.”

Schiff is heavily favored to win in the deep blue state that hasn’t had a Republican senator since John Seymor lost his election in 1992.

College backup comes off the bench for injured starter, then scores dazzling touchdown

Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning ran away from a family stigma Saturday.

Manning scored a touchdown on the longest play of his college career when he took off on a 67-yard run, extending the Texas lead over UTSA.

It was Manning’s second touchdown in three snaps on offense. Manning entered the game off the bench after Texas starter Quinn Ewers left due to an injury. Ewers’ status is unclear.

On Manning’s first play in, he connected with wide receiver DeAndre Moore for a touchdown to put Texas up 21-0.

UTSA responded with a 53-yard touchdown run by Robert Henry just two plays into its next possession to cut the lead to 21-7. But Manning answered just as quickly.

The Longhorns’ next drive started with an eight-yard run by running back Quintrevion Wisner. On the next play, Manning took off on the 67-yarder to extend the lead to 28-7 going into halftime. Manning threw three more touchdown passes in the second half as Texas dominated to win 56-7.

Manning’s long run was an unfamiliar sight for fans used to watching his two uncles, former NFL stars Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.

Peyton and Eli were known for being old-fashioned pocket passers who rarely took off on runs. Both former quarterbacks were often joked about for their lack of speed, especially later in their careers.

ARCH MANNING ANNOUNCES DECISION ON EA SPORTS’ COLLEGE FOOTBALL VIDEO GAME 10 DAYS BEFORE RELEASE

But Arch has shown he brings a different element to the table.

Manning put a similar sequence together when he entered a game for Ewers during a blowout against Colorado State Aug. 31. He went 5-for-6 for 95 yards with his first touchdown pass and his first rushing score on the next drive. Texas won 52-0.

The five-star recruit out of Isidore Newman School in New Orleans saw time in just two Longhorns games last season with Ewers as the team’s starter.

Ewers returned as the team’s starter this year for head coach Steve Sarkisian after a College Football Playoff loss to Washington last season. And he was productive in the win Saturday, going 20-for-27 for 260 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.

Manning was the Longhorns’ third-string quarterback last season, but with Maalik Murphy transferring to Duke, Manning is now second-string behind Ewers.

If Ewers’ injury keeps him out of action for a significant amount of time, Manning could be in line to make his first collegiate start.

Mom’s viral airplane seating hack stirs debate as solo flyers ‘can’t stand’ it

A family travel blogger has revealed her secret to getting an entire row on a flight, but solo flyers appear to be opposed.

Jess Darrington, the Idaho-based creator of Where is Briggs?, which specializes in travel tips for parents with kids under 4, shared a now-viral seating hack on TikTok that has attracted more than 8.1 million views.

Before sharing the airline seating tip, Darrington prefaced the video by saying this “sometimes” works.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT GOES VIRAL ON TIKTOK FOR ATTEMPTING TO EASE COMMON FLYING FEAR

Darrington said you can select an aisle seat and a window seat in a single row, leaving the middle seat open, hoping that no one books the middle seat.

In the viral video, which is posted under Darrington’s handle, @where.is.briggs, her family ended up booking four seats split between two rows, and no one booked the middle seat, which meant they had the entire two rows of their 11-hour flight from Amsterdam to Salt Lake City all to themselves.

Darrington said she has tried this hack a few times over the years and experienced different results.

TIKTOK USER SAYS AMERICAN AIRLINES REPAID HER FOR GIVING UP SEAT, SOCIAL MEDIA USERS CHIME IN

“The first time that we tried it out was when I just had one kid, and he was a lap infant at the time. So, it was my husband, myself and the lap infant, and we were all flying to Europe. And when I was booking tickets, the flight was empty, like there [was] nobody on,” Darrington said.

“So, I thought, ‘I wonder if I put myself and the lap infant in the window and then my husband in the aisle seat … if that middle seat will just be left open.’”

Darrington and her husband kept checking the airline map to see if the seats were filling up. They then learned 50 seats were still open, and by the time they boarded the plane, they were able to enjoy the entire row.

“I kind of gambled a little bit. But when we got on the flight, that middle seat was empty, and it was so nice because we had a little bit of wiggle room,” she said.

AIRLINE PASSENGER CAPTURES ‘MANSPREADING’ MOMENT IN VIRAL TIKTOK, SPARKING DEBATE

Darrington said that while the hack is helpful when it works, it does not always go according to plan.

“If you’re willing to gamble a little bit, and if you’re checking your odds to see how many seats are still currently open on the flight up until the day of, you might just get lucky like we have a couple of times.”

— Jess Darrington

“Families need to understand this is not a guarantee. If you want a for-sure seat for your baby on the flight, you’ve got to purchase them one,” she said.

Darrington said if someone does end up booking the middle seat, you need to accept that you didn’t get lucky this time and be a respectful fellow passenger.

“I also think, like, as a traveling family, you also can’t be mad or annoyed if that middle seat gets filled because that’s just what can happen. But if you’re willing to gamble a little bit, and if you’re checking your odds to see how many seats are still currently open on the flight up until the day of, you might just get lucky like we have a couple of times.”

AIRLINE OUTAGE: PASSENGER REPORTEDLY TELLS MOM IN FIRST CLASS SHE SHOULDN’T BE THERE WITH A CHILD

Darrington said she knows most people would say they do not enjoy sitting in the middle seat on a flight, let alone an international flight stuck between two strangers.

The best thing to do, she suggested, is to offer one of the two seats you have to the middle passenger so that they can get an “upgrade” and you can sit next to your travel buddy.

AIRLINE PASSENGER ‘STUCK’ BETWEEN COUPLE WITH BABY GETS ‘HUGE’ RESPONSE ON TWITTER

“I have yet to meet anybody who’s frustrated that they no longer have a middle seat. You know what I mean?” she said.

“It’s so important to be considerate on travel days.”

— Meredith Pierce, etiquette expert

Not everyone seems to appreciate Darrington’s airplane seating hack, particularly solo travelers who find themselves stuck in the middle seat.

“I honestly can’t stand when people do this and then expect me to move or switch seats,” one TikTok user commented on Darrington’s video.

“Here’s an idea. Just get seats next to each other,” another person wrote.

“I was on standby and got seated in the middle seat and the family was like mad at me??? I gladly moved so they can sit next to each other but why get mad at me?” one woman commented.

FORMER AIRLINE EMPLOYEE SHARES HER TOP TRAVEL HACK FOR FREQUENT FLYERS

Travel creator Meredith Pierce, @meredithonthemap, shared a video on TikTok in which she voiced her frustration about couples who try the trick.

“As a solo traveler, it’s pretty common to end up in situations where you’re sitting [among] couples and families on a long flight. Couples will even book the aisle and window seat of a row, hoping no one is assigned the middle. And when a solo traveler ends up in that middle seat, it throws them for a loop,” Pierce, a Georgia resident, said.

In my opinion, the couple then has two options. One, to offer to switch seats with the solo traveler so they can then sit together, or two, to stick to their assigned seats.”

Pierce said she experienced a flight that resulted in her getting stuck between a couple who kept talking to one another and passing snacks over her, leading to a “miserable” experience.

“If you choose to gamble on this ‘hack,’ you should be aware of the possibility that someone may sit in between you, and be ready to offer to switch or give that person the space and quiet they deserve. It’s so important to be considerate on travel days.”

Rosalinda Randall, a California-based etiquette expert, said selecting your airplane seats in hopes of “the perfect set-up” is similar to “tossing a coin in a fountain and expecting the wish to come true.”

“When I fly, I do my best to consider my needs within the confines of my itty-bitty space. What can I do to be somewhat comfortable without infringing on others?” Randall told Fox News Digital.

Randall said if the middle seat ends up taken, there are “commonsense courtesies” that fellow passengers need to abide by — like not holding conversations over the person in the middle or disrupting their sleep so you can talk.

“Airplane passenger rage is becoming more common. Some of these incidents are over minor inconveniences,” Randall added.

Randall and Darrington shared tips that could be useful.

Both suggested trying out the hack if you’re booking near the back of the plane since those seats are not as ideal for solo travelers who may not want to wait long to get off of their aircraft.

They also suggested trying out this hack while traveling during less busy days.

Bill Gates forecasts when the next global pandemic is likely to strike

War or another global pandemic, Microsoft CEO Bill Gates is cautioning that, if the world manages to avoid the former, the latter is a very real possibility within the next 25 years.

“A lot of unrest” in today’s age could spark a major war, he told CNBC’s “Make It.”

“If we avoid a big war … then, yes, there will be another pandemic, most likely in the next 25 years,” he continued.

After seeing the ill-preparedness for the COVID-19 pandemic, Gates joined the league of scientific minds who fear how the world might fare if another global health emergency were to sweep through the population.

IS MPOX THE NEXT COVID? INFECTIOUS DISEASE EXPERTS ADDRESS PANDEMIC POTENTIAL

Gates authored a book in 2022 on the subject called, “How to Prevent the Next Pandemic” where he addressed shortcomings in preparedness to handle the effects of widespread illnesses, including enhanced quarantine techniques and investment in vaccine research, according to the report.

He told the outlet, “The country that the world expected to lead and be the model fell short of those expectations,” speaking of the United States.

COVID-19 vaccines became the fastest ever created, going from identifying the pathogen to creating a vaccine for it in less than 12 months, UCLA Health stated.

BIRD FLU PANDEMIC IN FUTURE? EU WARNS OF POTENTIAL SPREAD TO HUMANS DUE TO ‘LACK OF IMMUNE DEFENSE’

However, treatments and preventative measures – as well as increased natural immunity – followed the struggles of full hospital beds, a shortage of ventilators and the loss of millions worldwide.

Infectious disease experts have since weighed the chances of another pandemic emerging in the near future.

Though the origins of coronavirus remain disputed, experts insist a pathogen could eventually jump from animals to humans and bring about a new illness.

Mpox and bird flu have already made headlines as a potential threat. The World Health Organization Director-General declared Mpox, which is spread through close contact or sharing items like towels and beds, a “public health emergency of international concern” in August.

‘I Dream of Jeannie’ star conquers aging at 93 with work, weights — and guilty pleasures

At age 93, Barbara Eden may have discovered the fountain of youth.

The “I Dream of Jeannie” star, who celebrated her birthday on Aug. 23, has zero plans to slow down. Recently, she appeared at Fan Boy Expo Comic Con and is set to make her way to the Wyland Galleries in Orlando, Florida, for Adam Scott Rote’s exhibition, “Disney Fine Art,” on Oct. 18.

The actress told Fox News Digital that staying active has been key to looking and feeling youthful.

‘I DREAM OF JEANNIE’ STAR BARBARA EDEN RECALLS ‘CHEMISTRY’ WITH LARRY HAGMAN, ELVIS PRESLEY

“I used to work out all the time,” said Eden. “I used to do spinning classes and then do weights with a trainer… When COVID hit, that ended my heavy workouts. Now I have a stationary bicycle and I lift five pounds. I use very lightweight weights, but they’re good for your bones.”

While Eden enjoys the comfort of getting in shape at home, she misses going to the gym and working out alongside other people.

“I like the camaraderie and I loved the spinning classes,” she said. “It gets you going. And I’m not much of a self-starter. I have to remind myself to go to the bicycle.”

— Barbara Eden

The star, who also appeared in “I Love Lucy,” suggested experimenting with different workout routines to find what you like and what suits your lifestyle. It also keeps your sweat sessions interesting, she pointed out.

“I remember when aerobics was all the rage,” she said. “It was good for you. I tried it, but no, it wasn’t for me. But walking? Now that’s another thing. If you can walk briskly, which suits me just fine, that’s good for you. It’s good for your knees and ankles. I find it better than running.”

Eden does not just rely on a daily workout routine. She also practices eating in moderation, something that her parents taught her. The habit stuck.

“I was lucky to have a mother and father who were conscious of eating well and living,” she explained. “My mother’s mantra was ‘moderation of all things.’ That’s how they lived, and that’s how I’ve lived.

“I love Italian food. German too. I love schnitzel, especially when you squeeze lemon on it. It’s delicious. And of course, growing up in San Francisco, we had absolutely the best Italian and Chinese food ever. My friend would argue with that. She always says the best is in New York, but I think it’s in San Francisco.”

“I’m also a sugar eater,” she admitted. “I like sweets. I like key lime pie. My sister brought me one for my birthday. I also like angel food cake. I make my own angel food cake and then put a very sharp, sweet lemon icing on it. And chocolates, of course – I love them. You can’t miss with me really. You want to give me something? Just give me anything sweet.”

Despite getting glammed up on set, Eden said she prefers to follow a simple skincare routine that leaves her skin smooth and supple.

“I wash my face with Cetaphil every night,” she said. “It’s very gentle. I also use Estée Lauder’s Repair Serum every night. I’ve been using a serum on my face since I was a teenager. But keeping your face clean is very important. When I wear makeup, I remove it with a gentle facial cleanser that foams up. I never go to bed without washing my face. I like to moisturize and go to sleep clean.”

“I’ve learned how to apply makeup on the set,” she shared. “When you work with the best, the makeup artists in Hollywood, you have the best. So, of course, you have to learn.”

“I learned how to use eyeliner. I never did that before. I didn’t even know I could do that. But nowadays, it’s easy to learn how to apply your own makeup. I remember I went to the hospital and the nurses there had these beautiful curly lashes. It was like being on the set!”

Eden has led a successful decadeslong career in Hollywood and even appeared alongside Elvis Presley in “Flaming Star.” The sitcom star said that staying busy working also keeps her feeling young.

“Connecting with my fans is very important to me,” she explained. “First of all, I think I have absolutely the nicest people who like what I’ve done. No one’s rude. No one’s out of line. Everyone is polite and fun to be around – no matter where I go.”

Eden recalled bumping into a group of “Jeannies” during one unforgettable Halloween.

“Now, I don’t encourage this at all, but I remember these three young men from college came to my front door, and they were all dressed as Jeannie. They were just having fun being Jeannie with the ponytail, the pink pants – everything. That was fun. Strange, but fun!”

When asked what has kept her going over the years, Eden admitted that she did not know. The drive was always there.

“I don’t think about it,” she said. “I would guess that a shrink would say that I want to be productive and not sit on a shelf and do nothing. I think if I wasn’t doing what I’m doing, I would go out and find a job just to keep myself going and be part of civilization… If you don’t try, you’re not going to be doing anything. That’s not good. I say, just be busy. Be productive. That’s so important… It’s important to me.”

While Eden has picked up many credits along the way, she does not spend her days reminiscing. For her, it is all about moving forward.

“I don’t think about this very often,” she said. “You don’t just sit and think. You just go and do it… Time goes on and you go with it.”
