Trump team scorches ‘SNL’ skit mocking the former president’s near-death experiences

The Trump campaign’s social media account pushed back on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) on Saturday after the season premiere featured a skit about assassination attempts against former President Trump.

James Austin Johnson played Trump in the cold open and referenced the first assassination attempt that occurred July 13 in Butler, Pa., as he depicted the former president at one of his rallies.

“Where the hell is everyone going? Where are you going? I see you trying to leave, but the doors are locked. Come on back — we’re having fun. We love my rallies, except when someone does the ‘bing, bong, bing, bing, bing’ right at me. You know that happened because of the rhetoric of the radical left? They say that me blaming the Democrats for inciting violence is the pot calling the kettle black,” Johnson said.

The Trump campaign posted to social media, “There were two assassination attempts against President Trump within a span of seven weeks. @nbcsnl apparently finds that funny. Disgusting.”

“SNL” referenced the assassination attempts during the “Weekend Update” segment as well, during which Colin Jost quipped that he was “starting to worry that bullet got a little more than just the ear,” after playing a clip of Trump saying he had a better “body” than President Biden at a recent rally.

Jost brought it up again after, noting former first lady Melania Trump’s recent interview.

“Speaking of, Melania Trump gave a rare TV interview this week in which she blamed Democrats for creating conditions that led to Trump’s assassination attempts, which is ridiculous. When Democrats want to take out a presidential candidate, they get the job done,” Jost said.

Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt against him at a Butler, Pa., rally in July. A bullet grazed the president’s ear and the shooter killed 50-year-old Corey Comperatore — a husband, father and former fire chief at the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department. The gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, also critically wounded two other rally-goers.

On Sept. 15, Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was arrested after allegedly pushing the muzzle of an AK-47 through the chainlink fence outside of where Trump was golfing in Florida.

Routh fled the golf course after being shot at by Secret Service agents and was eventually arrested in neighboring Martin County, according to reports.

Dem mayor dubbed ‘worst in America’ issued harsh reality check on her own safe space

Tiffany Henyard, the scandal-plagued Democratic mayor of Dolton, Illinois, appears to be facing a new disaster after a local report indicated she is being evicted from her home.

Henyard, dubbed by residents as “the worst mayor in America,” and her boyfriend Kamal Woods owe more than $3,300 in rent on a home they have been renting in the 14600 block of South Harvard for the past three years, FOX32 Chicago reported, citing copies of an eviction notice filed against the couple in Cook County Court.

Henyard also reportedly refused to allow the property to be inspected.

An attorney for Heynard told FOX32 via text message that the claim is false, and the couple has not missed any rent payments.

CONTROVERSIAL DEMOCRAT MAYOR UNDER INVESTIGATION AFTER WILD TIRADES, POLICE RAIDS, LAVISH SPENDING

Henyard, a self-proclaimed “supermayor,” has come under fire for extravagant spending on the taxpayer’s dime, making national headlines for contentious town hall meetings with residents and city officials that escalated to requiring police involvement.

In April, police were forced to shut down a meeting due to safety concerns following chaotic exchanges between Henyard and residents

In June, police officers broke up a scuffle between supporters and opponents of Henyard before it turned violent.

On Tuesday, another out-of-control meeting unfolded in Thornton Township, where Henyard also serves as Thornton Township Supervisor. Township trustees called on Henyard to be more open about her lavish spending habits, leading Henyard to accuse them of attacking her.

CONTROVERSIAL MAYOR DEFIES BOARD, SAYS SHE ‘CLEANED UP’ TOWN DESPITE TURNING BALANCE SHEET RED

“This is what I mean about my board,” Henyard said. “It’s a lot of hate, jealousy, and envy amongst them towards their supervisor.”

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot previously investigated Henyard for her spending habits in the Village of Dolton, though there has been no investigation into her spending habits regarding Thornton Township.

Lightfoot’s investigation into the town’s financial situation revealed in a preliminary report that Dolton’s general fund balance was $5.61 million in 2022, but by May 2024 the balance had dropped to a deficit of $3.65 million.

Lightfoot also disclosed that Henyard used the village credit card to make purchases at Amazon, Target, Walgreens, Wayfair and other retailers. One jaw-dropping statement revealed that the embattled mayor had dropped $33,000 on Jan. 5, 2023, on Amazon.

Henyard most recently spent approximately $85,000 to throw a party that featured R&B singer Keke Wyatt and rapper J. Holiday last month.

Champion handed punishment for making the sign of the cross at the Olympics

A Christian judo Olympian was sidelined by the International Judo Federation after he displayed the sign of the cross while walking into the ring at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Serbian judo world champion Nemanja Majdov announced in a recent social media post that he was suspended for five months from competing in the sport after he made the religious gesture during an Olympic tournament on July 31.

According to the International Judo Federation’s Disciplinary Commission, Majdov was penalized for violating the IJF Code of Ethics, which forbids athletes from making religious signs “before, during or after the fight or during the formal ceremonies.”

The IJF said Majdov had been warned about violating this rule in past fights in 2018 and 2022.

JILLIAN MICHAELS SAYS OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY MOCKING LAST SUPPER WAS A ‘BIG F.U.’ TO CHRISTIANS

Majdov was also accused of violating other rules about respecting his opponent during the same Olympic tournament.

“In addition, at the end of the contest, the athlete refused to bow to the opponent and could not control his emotions. He started to remove his judogi while leaving the tatami,” the IJF said.

Majdov defended his actions in a letter back to the foundation, which was included in their disciplinary report. In it, he referenced his devotion to his faith, saying he didn’t mean to cause any provocation with the gesture and that he respects athletes from other religions who have shown other religious symbols.

The Christian athlete also slammed the controversial drag queen opening ceremony at the games as “very Satanic and out of control.”

OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY SPARKS OUTRAGE WITH DRAG QUEENS PARODYING LAST SUPPER: ‘GONE COMPLETELY WOKE’

In an Instagram post on September 15, he publicly announced his suspension and lamented the IJF’s decision.

“I’m sorry that such a beautiful and difficult sport like judo has fallen to such things,” he said, according to Google Translate.

Majdov also said he would never apologize for displaying the sign of the cross.

“The Lord has given me everything, both for me personally and for my career, and he is number one for me and I am proud of that. And that will not change under any circumstances. Glory to Him and thanks for everything,” Majdov said, according to Google Translate.

The IJF addressed backlash to the athlete’s suspension in a September 18 statement, reaffirming that religious symbols are only restricted on the field of play to maintain neutrality and respect for all athletes in the sport.

“Our rules regarding the display of religious or other signs is strictly related to the field of play, which is a space dedicated exclusively for judo and where only the judo specific signs and rules are on display, equally for all. The IJF does not forbid the practice of religions or religious signs outside the field of play, as we continue to respect the individual freedom of each member of our community,” the IJF said.

Author reveals the Bible’s clear message on who will win today’s battles

Author and evangelist Jonathan Cahn did not plan to write his newest book, “The Dragon’s Prophecy: Israel, the Dark Resurrection, and the End of Days.” Instead, as he told Fox News Digital in an on-camera interview, current events simply forced his hand.

“I was kind of interrupted by everything that was happening in the Middle East,” Cahn said in a video interview from New Jersey. Cahn is the leader of Beth Israel/The Jerusalem Center in Wayne, New Jersey, a messianic congregation. (See the video at the top of this article.)

While Cahn has written other books, he’d “never written a book that so much got into the biblical prophecy that is coming true now — that whole realm that is happening,” he said.

‘CHIPS’ ACTOR ERIK ESTRADA ON HOW FAITH BUOYS HIS LIFE AND CAREER: ‘IT’S A GOOD THING’

Cahn began writing the book in January; it was released on September 3. The process of writing “The Dragon’s Prophecy,” he said, was different for him than writing his other books.

As he was writing it, “things are coming true,” he said. “I had to keep on updating the book because of that.”

Shortly after it was released, it hit bestseller lists, something Cahn told Fox News Digital he did not expect to happen. (His very first book, “The Harbinger,” became a New York Times bestseller, as his other books did as well.)

He said that in regard to the new book, “There’s been a real hunger. We’ve never seen a reaction like this,” he said. “This is different.”

Originally an atheist, Cahn “became a believer” due to biblical prophecy, he said.

Raised in a Jewish family, he is now a “believer in Jesus.”

“I had no idea that what the Bible wrote was actually coming true, starting with the resurrection of Israel,” he said.

“The enemy is depicted in the Book of Revelation in a vision as a dragon.”

“[The Bible] said it was going to happen,” he noted. “‘They’re going to be gathered, Jewish people from the ends of the earth, and it’s going to become a nation again.’ Well, we’re here.”

The title “The Dragon’s Prophecy” is a reference to the Book of Revelation, Cahn told Fox News Digital. “The enemy is depicted in the Book of Revelation in a vision as a dragon,” he said.

In Revelation 12, a dragon is “warring against a woman,” said Cahn.

Some people, including Cahn, interpret the woman as a representation of Israel.

“That is happening right now,” he said.

Cahn writes about this prophecy in his book.

“The largest part of ‘The Dragon’s Prophecy,’ or the largest section, is called ‘The End of Days,’” he said.

“And the Bible speaks of something called the end of days, really from the time of Moses up to into the New Testament,” said Cahn.

MOTHER TERESA’S LAST MESSAGE, WRITTEN ON THE DAY SHE DIED, REVEALS DEEP FAITH IN CHRIST

While the Bible also states that nobody will know the “day or the hour” that Christ will return, it also states there will be certain signs to look out for, signs that Cahn says are happening.

“It says on one hand you’ll know it, because the nation of Israel will come back into the world – which will have been dead for ages – [it] will be gathered back. The Jewish people will come back to the land. Well, that’s happened,” he said.

Cahn continued, “It says that the Jewish people will be back in it, in the city of Jerusalem. Well, that happened in 1967, by the way.”

“It says that all nations will be focused on the Middle East.”

The Second Coming of Christ, he said, “can’t happen without the Jewish people being in Jerusalem.”

“Another thing. It says that all nations will be focused on the Middle East and focused on this little New Jersey-sized land of Israel — and that the nations will rage against the Jewish people, rage against Israel.”

He added, “It’s happening” — noting the surge of antisemitism over the last year.

“So, the thing is, you have a checklist. We could check all these things off,” said Cahn.

“We don’t know the exact moment [Christ will return], but we do know the season, and we’re in it.”

Cahn said he wants people to know that the Bible makes clear who will win this battle in the end.

“You know, for 4,000 years the world’s been trying to destroy the nation of Israel, the Jewish people — the dragon, the enemy, has been trying to do that,” he said.

Despite this, the Jewish people have survived — and all who have tried to destroy them, from ancient to modern times, “are all gone,” said Cahn.

“And so, if you follow the God of Israel, you follow the Messiah of Israel, Jesus, you will live. You will prevail,” he said.

“Just fight. Don’t give up,” he said. “Fight the good fight.”

Cahn’s new book, published by Charisma House, is available on Amazon and wherever books are sold.

University’s 17-year-old star receiver writes blunt 2-word message on black eye

True freshman Ryan Williams put on a show on Saturday, and he had a blatant message to go along with it.

The Alabama receiver is just 17 years old, yet he looked like a superstar veteran against No. 2 Georgia on Saturday night.

Williams caught six passes for 177 yards and a touchdown for the second-seeded Crimson Tide in their epic 41-34 victory over Georgia in a rematch of last season’s SEC title game.

After he made an impressive 54-yard grab, cameras zoomed in on him, and they caught a stern message on his eye tape.

Williams had the words “KILL EVERYBODY” written in white marker on his black tape.

In somewhat ironic fashion, he (not literally) killed Georgia, as his 75-yard touchdown was the game-winner, despite Alabama squandering their own 28-point lead.

TRUMP ARRIVES AT ALABAMA-GEORGIA GAME TO CHANTS OF ‘USA,’ ‘FOUR MORE YEARS’

Williams was the hero after Alabama suddenly found themselves in desperation mode. Alabama allowed a 67-yard touchdown to Georgia to find themselves down a point, but it took just one play from Jalen Milroe to Williams to regain the lead.

The Bulldogs faced a 4th and 2 with 1:22 to go at the Bama 47, and Carson Beck found Colbie Young for the first down. Three plays later, the Bulldogs were in the red zone. But Beck was intercepted after going in the end zone, and with the touchback, Bama was able to knee out the clock to get the victory.

The loss marked Georgia’s third since the 2021 season, all of which have come against Alabama – it should be noted the Bulldogs did beat Bama in the 2022 national championship.

Bama improved to 4-0 with the victory, and it’s now a question of whether they will be ranked two or three in the polls.

Alabama will head to Vanderbilt next week, while the Bulldogs will host Auburn.

Beware a viral home decor trend that can actually make you very sick

“Fridgescaping” — or the viral art of “decorating” the inside of a refrigerator as if it’s a room in a home — could have consequences far beyond grabbing social media likes and attention, health experts said.

While keeping a fridge clean and organized makes sense, “fridgescaping” — including placing things that are not normally found in a refrigerator, such as picture frames, lights and mirrors — could promote bacteria growth within the food stored there.

“The inside of a refrigerator is no place for decorating,” said Dr. Marc Siegel, senior medical analyst for Fox News and clinical professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center.

CHEESE DISCOVERED INSIDE COFFIN WITH ANCIENT MUMMIES DATES BACK THOUSANDS OF YEARS

Let’s remember that much of the food you refrigerate is perishable and easily contaminated, and it can also transfer allergens — which could be dangerous for children,” Siegel also told Fox News Digital. “You could be bringing bacteria in this way, too.”

He emphasized, “Your fridge is for food.”

Another expert shared similar concerns and warnings.

Dr. Maria Knobel, medical director of Medical Cert UK, told the health website Healthline, “When you place decorative elements inside your fridge, especially if they are not food-safe or are difficult to clean, you could inadvertently introduce contaminants.”

“Much of the food you refrigerate is perishable and easily contaminated.”

She added, “For example, decorative items might harbor bacteria or mold, which can then come into contact with food items.”

CUCUMBER SHORTAGES IN ICELAND BLAMED ON TIKTOK CRAZE: ‘FIRST TIME WE HAVE EXPERIENCED SOMETHING LIKE THIS’

The non-food items in a fridge could also impact air circulation and the temperature of the items that are stored in the refrigerator, which could promote bacteria growth.

Chemical exposure is also a risk, Knobel told the same outlet, as many of the items used for fridgescaping are not meant to be around food for long periods of time.

“Some decorative items may be made from materials that are not intended for use in food-storage environments,” she said.

“If these items degrade or release chemicals, there is a risk of these substances coming into contact with your food.”

In a discussion of the trend on Fox News’ “The Five” this week, host Judge Jeanine Pirro noted, “I like the idea of being organized … but some people put pictures [in their fridges] — enough!” (See the video at the top of this article.)

Other hosts of “The Five” were also unimpressed with the trend.

“The next time that all of these young people that are on TikTok … say they have so much anxiety, but they have time for this – I’m going to tell them to jump in a lake,” Dana Perino joked.

“Gutfeld!” host Greg Gutfeld expressed similar frustration with the inside-the-refrigerator trend.

“This is like getting a tattoo on an internal organ,” he said. “Nobody is going to see it! What is your problem, people?”

Food, Gutfeld also joked, is now “so expensive” today that a fridge has become an “art installation.”
