Meghan McCain gives ‘final warning’ after Harris invokes late dad: ‘I will start spilling tea’
Meghan McCain, the daughter of late Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, called out Vice President Kamala Harris Friday after the Democratic presidential nominee shared an anecdote about an interaction she reportedly had with the six-term senator.
Harris was stumping at a Republicans for Harris event in Scottsdale, Arizona, Friday afternoon when she claimed John McCain, who represented the Grand Canyon State in the U.S. Senate until his death in 2018, once praised her.
Harris said the exchange happened after she and McCain were “going after each other” at a committee hearing. The Republican approached her later that day, she said.
“I step onto the floor of the well of the Senate later that day — we had votes — and I passed by John McCain, and he looks at me, and he says, ‘Kid, come over here. You’re going to make a great senator,’” Harris recalled. “True story. True story.”

While speaking to the crowd, Harris then commended the late Arizona senator and called him an “incredible American hero.” But Meghan McCain found the story dubious and publicly addressed it on X Friday night.
“Now, I know democrats want to reinvent history and turn my Dad into any illusion you guys need him to be depending on the political moment you need to bastardize his memory for… But please don’t make me start sharing what I remember him ACTUALLY saying about Kamala Harris,” McCain wrote.
“And consider this my final warning shot, I will start spilling tea.”
On Saturday, McCain called her critics “lunatics” in response to the backlash.
“A lot of really triggered democrats in my timeline who claim they know more about my dad than well…. his daughter,” she wrote. “Get a grip on reality, you lunatics.”
WALZ ROASTED AFTER DECLARING ‘WE CAN’T AFFORD FOUR MORE YEARS OF THIS’ AT RALLY
Democrats have been actively targeting moderate Republicans in Arizona this campaign season, and the swing state is predicted to have a significant impact on the presidential election in November.
Some GOP officials in the state have evoked McCain’s name to signal their support for Harris because John McCain had an icy relationship with former President Trump.
Speaking at a Harris rally in August, Rep. Gregory Stanton, D-Ariz., called on “John McCain Republicans” to support the Harris-Walz ticket. Mesa’s Republican mayor echoed that sentiment.
“In the spirit of the great Sen. John McCain, please join me in putting country over party and stopping Donald Trump and protecting the rule of law, protecting our Constitution and protecting the democracy of our great country,” Mesa Mayor John Giles said.

Nick Cannon is latest celebrity to come forward with Diddy admission
Nick Cannon is the latest celebrity opening up about attending Sean “Diddy” Combs’ parties.
“I’ve even been to one when I was a kid … 16-17 [years old],” he said on “The Breakfast Club” radio show.
“I live my truth. I remember standing outside … trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York,” Cannon, 44, added.
DIDDY ALL SMILES IN COURT BEFORE PROSECUTORS HINT AT NEW CHARGES IN SEX TRAFFICKING CASE
Although Cannon only confessed to innocently dancing at the parties, he noted the Diddy events he attended were not the “freak offs” allegedly thrown by the rapper, who pleaded not guilty last month to federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
“The Masked Singer” host described how difficult it was to get into one of Diddy’s parties and compared it to the “One More Chance” music video by Notorious B.I.G., who was a Bad Boy artist.
At the beginning of Notorious B.I.G.’s music video, a long line is seen waiting outside a crowded party.
“How the ‘One More Chance’ video looked … that was real stuff out here. People standing at the door. … Bad Boy parties was official in the late ‘90s,” he added.
WATCH ON FOX NATION: WHAT DIDDY DO?
“Everybody gets scared to talk … because they got something to hide. … I ain’t got nothing to hide. … I was in there Harlem-shaking, doing all of that stuff. But it wasn’t — c’mon now.”
Reps for Cannon did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

The “All That” alum’s comments come after the music mogul was arrested and charged with sex crimes.
Diddy was arrested Sept. 16 and charged the following day with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. The rapper entered a not guilty plea hours after an indictment was unsealed detailing his alleged sex crimes.
TMZ PRESENTS: THE DOWNFALL OF DIDDY
Authorities allege Diddy ran a criminal enterprise through his businesses, including Bad Boy Entertainment, Combs Enterprises and Combs Global, among others. He used “firearms, threats of violence, coercion and verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse” to fulfill his sexual desires, according to the unsealed indictment obtained by Fox News Digital.
Diddy and his employees would “intimidate, threaten, and lure female victims into Combs’ orbit, often under the pretense of a romantic relationship. Combs allegedly then used force, threats of force and coercion to cause victims to engage in extended sex acts with male commercial sex workers, which Combs referred to as, among other things, ‘freak offs.'” Combs often provided IV fluids to his victims after “freak offs” to help them recover from physical exertion and drug use, according to the indictment.

During a court hearing Thursday, Judge Arun Subramanian scheduled Diddy’s trial for May 5. The prosecution expects the government’s case to take three weeks to lay out, while Diddy’s legal team estimated needing one week to argue the rapper’s defense.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office also noted that the investigation is ongoing and pointed to the possibility of a superseding indictment, which could lengthen the trial.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) announced the shooting on social media Saturday. During a news conference, police said at least one person was killed, and nine others were wounded.
“Multiple victims have been injured following a shooting on Jefferson Street and 27th Avenue North,” police wrote on Facebook. “The scene is secure and victims are at area hospitals.”

Walz appearance at former high school’s football game met with protests and silent treatment
Minnesota governor Tim Walz waltzed onto the bleachers at Mankato West High School on Friday night to watch a team he once coached as an assistant play a big rivalry game.
Walz’s appearance also coincided with protests at the high school, as Pro-Palestine supporters were seen standing outside the venue.

Multiple reels of footage of Walz interacting with families on the bleachers at the game showed the game’s crowd behind him. Many were visibly indifferent to the vice presidential candidate’s presence. Multiple attendees were seen staring silently. However, some attendees were talking to and even hugging the governor.
The one recorded instance of Walz garnering cheers from the crowd was when he joined both teams just before the game to help with the coin toss. When his name was announced on the loudspeaker, a few mild cheers from the Mankato West bleachers could be heard.
TIM WALZ SAYS HE KEPT A SHOTGUN IN HIS CAR TO HUNT PHEASANTS AFTER FOOTBALL PRACTICE
Walz’s presence at the game prompted controversy among locals.
Former Republican Minnesota congressman Jeremy Munson urged people to show up and boo Walz days before the game, in a post on X.
Meanwhile, chair of the Blue Earth County GOP Yvonne Simon told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Walz’s appearance at the game was due to desperation.
“They’re getting desperate to get the word out,” Simon said.
The Harris-Walz campaign’s latest effort is to tie the Minnesota governor’s candidacy to his stint as the assistant coach of the Mankato West High School football team in Minnesota in the 1990s. During Walz’s tenure as an assistant on the staff, the team won the state championship in 1999. Walz’s first job out of college was as a teacher in China, before being hired by Mankato West in 1996, where he was a geography teacher.
He was also the first faculty advisor of Mankato West High School’s first gay–straight alliance, and he worked to organize summer educational trips to China for high school students.
Walz’s short tenure as an assistant football coach has been a talking point for the Harris campaign since he was announced as the running mate for Harris on Aug. 7.
Walz even brought out members of Mankato West’s 1999 state championship team during his speech at the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 21, when he formally accepted the nomination. During that speech, Richard Grenell, former U.S. ambassador to Germany, critiqued the display in a post on X.
“He was the Assistant Coach not the Coach,” Grenell wrote.

The lukewarm reception that Walz got at Mankato West was actually a warmer reception than what he has received at football games since joining the ticket.
When Walz attended a Sept. 28 game between Minnesota and Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, fans waited outside afterwards and gave him a harsh farewell. Several in attendance booed him, with another fan even yelling, “Get out of here!”
Walz, despite never having coached past the high school level or even as a head coach in high school, compared his background as a football coach to that of Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who served as the head coach at four different NCAA Power-5 football programs from 1995 to 2016. Tuberville led Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech and Cincinnati as head coach and even won an SEC Championship with Auburn in 2004.
“I feel like one of my roles in this now is to be the anti-Tommy Tuberville, to show that football coaches are not the dumbest people,” Walz said during a fundraiser event in Boston in early August.
Former University of Michigan students accused of spying on military base for China, lying
Five former University of Michigan students have been charged after they were caught allegedly covering up spying on a National Guard training center in Michigan for the People’s Republic of China (PRC) while a training operation with the Taiwanese military was taking place.
The former students, all Chinese nationals, were confronted by a sergeant major of the Utah National Guard in August 2023 after midnight near a lake at Camp Grayling, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court Oct. 1.
They told the sergeant major they were with the media photographing a meteor shower and believed they were in a campground. They then took their belongings and left.
JOHN MOOLENAAR: WE DON’T WANT A COMPANY THAT IS AFFILIATED WITH THE CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY
But four months later, one of the men, Renxiang Guan, was interviewed by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport before traveling to South Korea and China.
He told investigators he and others had taken a trip to northern Michigan to see shooting stars, but he was unable to recall where they went.
CBP officers then searched his electronic devices and found images of the Grayling Military Installation, including military vehicles and other equipment. The data from an external hard drive showed the photographs had been taken during the time that live firing exercises were taking place, around two hours before the sergeant major encountered the students.
The other four men were interviewed in March after arriving in Chicago on a flight from Iceland. They told investigators they too were in northern Michigan in August 2023, but it was to see a meteor shower, according to court documents citing the FBI.
FIRST-EVER ‘CHINA WEEK’ TAKES AIM AT AMERICA’S DEPENDENCE ON BEIJING
WeChat messages in a group chat among the Chinese nationals discussed clearing photos from their cameras and phones.
They have been charged with giving false statements to investigators, conspiracy and the destruction and falsification of records as they tried to cover their tracks by deleting data.
The Chinese nationals remain at large and are understood to have returned to China, according to local reports. The other four individuals are named as Zhekai Xu, Haoming Zhu, Jingzhe Tao and Yi Liang.
The students attended the university as part of a joint program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. They graduated in May, according to the complaint.
Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Mich., says the case exposes the serious threat the nation faces from Chinese spies.

“This case shows once again that CCP espionage can happen anywhere in America, and we must be vigilant,” Moolenaar said in a statement. “The CCP obviously has an interest in Camp Grayling, and this is further evidence it would be a mistake for Michigan leaders to allow Gotion to build in our state.”
Gotion, a Chinese company, plans to manufacture electric vehicle batteries at a plant in Green Charter Township in Mecosta County.
“State funding for Gotion’s plan to bring Chinese nationals to Mecosta County is an open invitation for further spying on Camp Grayling. For national security reasons, Gov. Whitmer and the legislature must revoke state funding for Gotion immediately,” said Moolenaar, chair of the Select Committee on China.
“Additionally … my committee recently issued a report on research security at our nation’s universities. All of our nation’s universities must shut down their joint institutes with Chinese universities and enact stricter guardrails on emerging technology research. American universities must realize they are a target for espionage and protect the critical taxpayer-funded research they do.”
Bill Maher sends message to pop star about how great the US is after she talks about Gaza
HBO host Bill Maher on Friday offered an “open letter” to Gen Z it girl and pop star Chappell Roan for her recent anti-Israel statements on social media.
The “Real Time” host addressed Roan, who is openly gay, directly during the “New Rule” segment of his show, accusing her of being ignorant on Israel’s history and telling the star that she would be in harm’s way in Gaza.
“Chappell, if you think it was repressive growing up queer in the Midwest, try the Mideast,” Maher said.
CHAPPELL ROAN REVEALS SEVERE DEPRESSION DIAGNOSIS AFTER LOSING ANY SEMBLANCE OF NORMALCY DUE TO SOARING FAME
Roan, who recently exploded into the pop mainstream with songs like “Good Luck, Babe!” and “HOT TO GO!”, has called out the U.S. and the Democratic Party specifically for supporting Israel’s war against terror group Hamas in Gaza following the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel.
She told Rolling Stone in September that she declined to perform at the White House’s Pride celebration this year in protest of the Biden administration’s support for the war, and in a TikTok video from several weeks ago, ripped the Democratic Party for “genocidal” positions concerning the Palestinians.
“But f— some of the s— that has gone down in the Democratic Party that has failed people like me and you, and more so Palestine,” she said, though she indicated she would still vote for Vice President Kamala Harris as it’s the only alternative to former President Trump.
Maher on Friday offered some praise for Roan, noting she has said, “I think it’s important for me to question myself, question my algorithm, question [that] is some person who tweeted something about something else even true?” A delighted Maher joked, “Preach, queer ally, preach!”
However, he accused her and the rest of Gen Z of getting their anti-Israel talking points from TikTok propaganda.
“Now first off, the fact that you don’t know much about history isn’t your fault. You live in the United States where the schools stopped doing that whole teaching facts thing a while ago. But getting all your history from TikTok is like getting all your calories from Hostess.”

He continued, “I know you’re moved by what you see on there. We all are. The dead Palestinian bodies. But it’s odd that your generation didn’t seem nearly as moved by the Jewish bodies on Oct. 7“
He then quipped, “You killed at Coachella this year, but when Hamas kills at a music festival, it’s a whole other thing. Doesn’t the sight of so many young women raped at a music festival make it a little personal?”
“My guess is that Gen Z hearts are hardened by the propaganda you see on TikTok, which likes to call the Jews colonizers,” the comedian added.
He then gave a brief history lesson, noting how the Jewish people lived in the Holy Land for thousands of years before it became an official country, and pointing out they were there before Islam even existed and much more before various Arab nations demanded the country be destroyed.
Maher then mentioned some of Roan’s LGBTQ song lyrics and told her they could get her killed among the people she’s so passionate about defending.
“You’re a female drag queen, and you sing, ‘I f—– you in the bathroom when we went to dinner, your parents at the table.’ Yeah, that wouldn’t fly in Gaza, although you would, straight off a roof.”
As he wrapped up the monologue, he told the pop star, “Chappell, you’re not wrong that oppression is bad or that Palestinian and many other Muslim populations are oppressed and deserve to be freed. You just have it completely a– backward as to who is doing the oppressing.”

The first half against unranked USC did not go so well for No. 4 Penn State, but the Nittany Lions got the second half started with a bang.
The Nittany Lions went deep into their playbook to score a wild touchdown.
At USC’s 32-yard line, Penn State had backup quarterback Beau Pribula take a snap from tight end Tyler Warren. Yes, a tight end snapped the ball.

To make matters even more confusing, quarterback Drew Allar was lined up out wide, and the five offensive lineman were on the right side of Warren at the line of scrimmage.
The Lions seemed to be in a normal football formation, until everyone moved all over the place. Out of nowhere, Warren was snapping the ball with no linemen to his left.
So, Warren snapped it to Pribula, who threw a backward pass to Allar on his left. Then, Warren (remember, he hiked the ball) ran straight, and Allar hit him in the end zone for a wild touchdown catch.
The broadcast team said it looked like a “flag football” play.

Warren also lined up at quarterback and running back in the game, making work a little more fun for offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki.
Penn State headed into the locker room at halftime trailing 20-6, but the trick play got momentum back on their side, and the game was tied at 20 at the time of publishing.

This is the highest Penn State has been ranked by the AP since they were No. 4 entering Week 6 of the 2021 season. USC has had a rude welcome to the Big Ten, losing road games to Michigan and Minnesota.
If USC can fight back, though, it would be the program’s biggest win in quite some time.
