Americans’ concerns mount as homelessness, drugs ravage blue city that defunded police

Residents and business owners in Burlington, Vermont, spoke to Fox News Digital this week about the challenges their city is facing with an increase in homelessness and drug use on city streets, with some saying they’re worried about their physical safety.

Fox News caught up with locals on Church Street, a prominent area in Burlington lined with boutiques and upscale restaurants. They admitted that in recent years, the idyllic downtown on Lake Champlain has become an area where significant numbers of homeless people congregate.

Among them are individuals addicted to hard drugs like fentanyl, families who have been negatively affected by the economy, as well those who have turned to crime to support their lives on the streets. Multiple residents told Fox News the situation has them concerned about public safety.

“It’s really good during the day, but during the night, like people have said, it’s really dangerous,” one young local resident named Lucas said.

PHILADELPHIA POLICE, OFFICIALS WARN OF A ‘VICIOUS CYCLE’ INCREASING VIOLENCE IN THE CITY

Burlington, where Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., served as mayor from 1981 to 1989, is the most populated city in Vermont despite having an estimated 44,000 residents. It has seen a significant uptick in its homeless population in the past several years. According to outreach groups, there are over 350 homeless people living on city streets – a record number. As local leaders told Fox News, many of these unhoused individuals have been ravaged by addiction, driven by drugs like fentanyl and xylazine, also known as “tranq.”

Vermont itself has seen a 500% uptick in drug overdose deaths in the last ten years. Local outlets have reported that first responders have been overwhelmed by the number of overdoses in the city.

Despite the compassion that residents and local business owners say they feel towards the homeless, especially those suffering with mental illness and drug addiction, many admitted they’ve been concerned about the effects on the local economy, tourism and the well-being of residents.

“I don’t walk at night,” an elderly woman named Nancy told Fox News Digital. When asked why, she replied, “‘Cause it’s dangerous.”

“People get beat up at nighttime,” she said, adding that she’s “very lucky” to have not become a victim of assault herself. She recalled how a neighbor of hers went out for a smoke one night and “got beaten up really bad.” The culprits also attempted to destroy a wheelchair the individual was using to get around.

“Nobody goes out” after dark, she insisted.

A local business owner named Patricia acknowledged that “community safety” needs to be as much of a concern of the city government as the well-being of the homeless and addicted population.

“There seems to be a lot of focus in this town and by the government on helping people who are addicted,” she said, adding, “There seems to be a lack of respect for people who are doing business, you know, who are trying to run a store.” She stated that some businesses have left due to the drug abuse and crime occurring just outside their doors.

PHILADELPHIA NEIGHBORHOOD TROUBLED BY HOMELESS PROBLEM, DRUG USERS WITH FLESH FALLING OFF BONE

Tom, who works in the city, said there’s a homeless and drug addiction problem, but he insisted on not blaming the homeless community itself.

“Obviously, there’s a big issue with the homelessness problem out here. You know, no fault of their own, it’s just kind of the nature of the housing market and the COVID epidemic, and everything in between,” he said. “We just need more housing in Vermont and specifically here in Burlington, that’s a problem.”

He said there seemed to be a significant decrease in police presence downtown, stating, “When I was living here about five or six years ago, there were a lot more police around.”

The city is currently working to hire more officers and funnel money back into law enforcement after a portion of the department’s budget was slashed. About 30% of the town’s force was also cut by attrition

When asked if he’s seen evidence of drug use in city streets, he replied, “There’s a lot of needles on the ground everywhere.”

He insisted he feels safe walking in the city and that he’s “not actively in fear for my life,” but admitted that he tries “to be aware of my surroundings.”

Others told us they were less concerned about public safety, despite admitting to the homeless issue.

Zyn, another young Burlington resident, said that the problems in the city are overblown. “Personally, I think everyone kind of says Burlington’s like, it’s a bad place or it’s dangerous, but I disagree. I think if you’re – just don’t be dumb. Just don’t go out tickling homeless people.”

August, a young local resident, said, “Sometimes downtown at night isn’t the greatest, but overall, it’s a good city with good people.”

“I think that there’s definitely some homelessness and mental health issues,” he continued, “but I think that with a little bit more planning, we can solve those issues.” He added he feels safe in Burlington.

When asked if he feels safe downtown, Deacon, another young resident, replied, “During the day I do. But during the night, like August said, there’s drug abuse issues that have gone slightly unchecked.”

He added that he’s found “a few needles” and “seen a few people having a pretty good time” in the city’s streets.

City leaders say they are actively engaging with the local community and government to provide better access to mental health facilities, public housing, shelters and drug treatment programs, among other solutions.

Iranian leader issues dire warning as Hezbollah launches barrage of rockets into Israel

Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets into northern Israel, including near the city of Haifa, on Saturday after the Israeli military said more than 100 projectiles crossed into Israel from Lebanon.

The Lebanese terror group said its “large salvo” of rockets hit a military base east of Haifa, AFP News reported. The Israel Defense Forces said approximately 180 projectiles were fired by Hezbollah, which has vowed to escalate its war against Israel after IDF strikes killed senior Hezbollah leaders.

“The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against the threat posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” the IDF said in a statement.

At least five people suffered shrapnel injuries in Kiryat Ata, in the city of Haifa, the emergency service provider Magen David Adom said, according to AFP.

UAV LAUNCHED TOWARD ISRAELI PM NETANYAHU’S PRIVATE RESIDENCE IN CAESAREA

A rocket reportedly damaged a three-story building and burned two cars in Kiryat Ata, the outlet said.

The Saturday attacks followed after a UAV was launched towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home in the coastal city of Caesarea.

Netanyahu and his wife were not home when the incident happened, his spokesperson told Fox News. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Iran-backed Hezbollah has stepped up its attacks on Israel in recent weeks after the IDF successfully sabotaged the terror group’s electronic communications and killed its senior leaders, including Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his replacement.

IDF VIDEO: ISRAELI TANK FIRES AT BUILDING WHERE HAMAS LEADER YAHYA SINWAR WAS BARRICADED BEFORE BEING KILLED

Israel struck another great blow against Iran’s proxy groups this week with the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Hezbollah and Hamas, along with other proxy groups, comprise an “Axis of Resistance” that Iran has used to oppose Israel and the U.S. and wield power in the Middle East for decades.

Speaking on Saturday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Sinwar’s death would not stop the “Axis of Resistance” and that Hamas would live on.

“His loss is undoubtedly painful for the Axis of Resistance, but this front did not cease advancing with the martyrdom of prominent figures,” Khamenei said in a statement. “Hamas is alive and will remain alive.”

SINWAR’S RUTHLESS BROTHER MOHAMMED SLATED TO TAKE OVER AS LEADER OF HAMAS

Sinwar, the architect of Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that triggered the war in Gaza, was killed on Wednesday in a gunfight with Israeli forces after a year-long manhunt, and his death was announced on Thursday.

“He was a shining face of resistance and struggle. With a steely resolve, he stood against the oppressive and aggressive enemy. With wisdom and courage, he dealt them the irreparable blow of October 7 that has been recorded in the history of this region. Then, with honor and pride, he ascended to the heavens of the martyrs,” said Khamenei.

Bill Maher calls out VP Harris’ recent interviews: ‘Can’t afford any more bad answers’

“Real Time” host Bill Maher struck a much more worried tone Friday night after he confidently predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 election.

“Democrats need to stop thinking that an October surprise is going to save us from another Trump term,” Maher began his monologue. “Trump’s superpower as a candidate is that he’s been so constantly and ubiquitously awful for so long that it is simply no longer seen… If you’re waiting for an October surprise to knock him out, dream on. There are better odds of another ‘Joker’ musical.”

He noted some stumbles for Harris during her recent media blitz.

“This is Kamala’s great dilemma,” Maher later continued. “Trump is invulnerable to an October surprise, but she is very vulnerable because she’s the one who is still undefined. And as she showed in this week’s Bret Baier interview, her go-to when attacked for her own actions is usually ‘Trump is worse.’ Okay, we know that, but now undecided voters want to hear about you. They want someone to vote for.”

BILL MAHER QUESTIONS MEDIA AVOIDING DOUG EMHOFF CONTROVERSIES: ‘WOULDN’T THAT MAKE IT LOOK WORSE?’

The HBO host summarized that Trump’s coalition is made up of “people who really do like him” and people who think he’s better than “far-left insanity.”

“And the voters’ big doubt about Kamala is – are you part of far-left insanity?” Maher asked. “The attack ad I see ten times a day, and a question Bret Baier aimed at her on Wednesday was about her saying in 2019 that she supported providing taxpayer funded sex change operations to illegal immigrants in prison, something that’s actually never happened and has no real bearing on anybody’s life. But it’s a litmus test for voters out there who want to know of the Democrat –  is there anything your fringe can suggest that will ever make you say, ‘No, that’s f—ing ridiculous?'”

MAHER SAYS ELECTION ‘NOT LOOKING THAT GREAT’ FOR HARRIS, MOCKS NEED TO HAVE OBAMA ‘SCOLD’ BLACK MEN ON VOTING

Maher then turned to Harris’ appearance on “The View” where she said “there’s not a thing that comes to mind” that she would have done differently during the Biden presidency.

He called that response “no bueno.”

“It’s getting late early, and we can’t afford any more bad answers like this one last week,” Maher said. “Next time, maybe try ‘Joe Biden generally did a good job, but sure, I wish we tightened the border sooner, as we have done now, and trust me, I learned my lesson, and that’s never going to happen.'”

BILL MAHER SHOCKED BY MSNBC’S SOFTBALL KAMALA HARRIS INTERVIEW: I DIDN’T EXPECT THEM TO BE ‘RUBBING HER FEET’

He then made a direct plea to the Democratic nominee.

“Kamala, it’s so important that you win this election, not just for the sake of retaining a real democracy and for the good of the world, but also because I predicted a month ago, you’d win this thing, and if you blow it, it’s gonna make me look bad,” Maher said, sparking laughs from the audience. “I’ve got a really good prediction record, so please don’t f–k this up! Kamala, ever since I put down my marker on you and said you’d win and I wasn’t even worried about it, everyone, everywhere on the road in LA texting me, emailing me, stopping me at restaurants, asking me, ‘Bill, are you sure?’ No, I’m not f—ing sure! Of course I’m not sure, but that’s my gut!”

“I think Kamala Harris wants this. I think she can do this, to say nothing of if she loses, she’ll never hear the end of it from Joe ‘I told you I was the only one who could beat him’ Biden,” Maher added.

Maher previously predicted following last month’s presidential debate that Harris had the election locked up.

“I’m gonna make this a very momentous night with a prediction,” Maher said at the time. “Because I have the credibility for this prediction, because I had been called a ‘Trump alarmist’ for a very long time. They were wrong, I was right – he wasn’t gonna leave power. But ever since then and since the [Access Hollywood] tape… and he survived that. Every time he’s done crazy s— and gotten himself in trouble, I said ‘No, no. It’s not over.'”

“Tonight I’m saying – I think it’s over,” Maher said, sparking cheers from his liberal audience.

Boxing legend stunned after Trump invites him on stage at rally

Former President Trump held a rally in the Detroit area, and he invited a local legend to the stage.

The three-time Republican presidential nominee was at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit, and, before he took the stage, he took a photo with boxing legend Thomas “Hitman” Hearns, a Detroit native.

Trump then spotted Hearns in the audience and invited him to the stage.

“I won so much money betting on this guy. … Some of the greatest fights in history,” Trump said.

“One of the greatest fights of all time, and man, I’ll tell you what, he was something special.”

Hearns eventually joined Trump on the stage and seemed in disbelief.

“Hearing those nice words coming from you, man, this can’t be real. … Hearing it come from you, I’m very excited. I want to fight now.”

Hearns boxed professionally from 1977 to 2006 and was the first boxer to become a world champion in five different weight classes. He did it in six — welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and cruiserweight. Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have since joined him.

TRUMP RECALLS MUHAMMAD ALI-JOE FRAZIER’S LEGENDARY BOUT AS ‘THE CRAZIEST EVENING’

Hearns made history with Leonard in 1981. Their $17 million combined purse was the largest in the sport’s history at the time. It was his first loss after starting 32-0, and the bout went 14 rounds. The two had a rematch eight years later, which ended in a draw.

Hearns’ last title victory came on April 10, 1999, when he beat Nate Miller for the vacant IBO cruiserweight title. He lost it almost exactly one year later in his hometown to Uriah Grant.

His final fight was a victory, his 61st, Feb. 4, 2006, at The Palace of Auburn Hills. He retired with just five losses and a draw in his 67 fights.

VP Harris wants America to have the world’s highest death tax

Here is something no one in the media is reporting as Vice President Kamala Harris continues to duck and weave like Muhammad Ali in the ring to avoid any questions about her economic plan.

The American Business Defense Foundation reports that under the Harris tax plan, the number of Americans subject to the hated death tax would double or triple. This would happen because Harris has declared she will let the Trump tax cut expire next year if she becomes president.

Thanks to the Trump tax cut, the amount of an estate that is currently exempt from tax is roughly $13.6 million.

But according to the IRS: “Under the tax reform law, the increase is only temporary. Thus, in 2026, the exemption is due to revert to its pre-2018 level of $5 million, as adjusted for inflation.”

TRUMP STOOD UP FOR AMERICA’S WORKERS BEFORE. AS RANK-AND-FILE TEAMSTERS, WE BELIEVE HE WILL DO IT AGAIN

Kamala wants this to happen. She wants to soak the millionaires and billionaires. But under her plan, thousands more families will be clobbered by this tax when a parent dies. This brings new meaning to the idea of “the grim reaper.”

We aren’t talking about the very rich — people like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, who are already subject to the unfair death tax. (Though these super billionaires have built massive family foundation tax shelters to escape the tax.)

Now many farms, ranches and family-owned businesses will have to be sold after a funeral just to pay the taxes. These are mostly owners and operators of small businesses that have been built up over a lifetime to million-dollar-plus enterprises. The owners have already paid Uncle Sam millions of dollars of income, property, payroll, energy, business and other taxes and annual levies.

‘THERE’S ONLY ONE’: BATTLEGROUND STATE VOTERS REVEAL WHICH PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE THEY PREFER ON THE ECONOMY

Now they will have to pay a 40% estate tax rate, plus another 5 to 15% depending on what state they die in. In other words, roughly half of a family inheritance must be forked over to the politicians. The IRS gets almost as much as the kids and grandkids. The agents should at least pay their respect at the funeral!

How is that fair?

But wait. It gets worse.

IRS MIGHT TAKE MORE OF YOUR MONEY UNDER KAMALA HARRIS

Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren has introduced a bill to make the death tax even more onerous. Under her bill, the estate tax rate would rise to as high as 55% to 65%, and the exemption would lower to $3.5 million. This means that as much as two-thirds of an estate could be seized by the government. This isn’t taxation. It’s confiscation of family property. Is the IRS going to seize grandma’s jewelry or grandpa’s stable of horses and the mansion he built himself?

Will family businesses have to undergo the indignity of a fire sale to vulture companies just to pay the taxes owed?

Guess who supports the Warren tax scheme? Yes, Harris thinks this is a swell idea.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

Incredibly, if the Warren tax came to pass, the United States — the land of the free — would have the highest estate tax in the world.

Higher than Russia. Higher than China. Higher than the socialist nations of Europe.

The real-world impact of death taxes this high is that older people will avoid the death tax by lavishly spending down the family estate so that there is no money left to tax. The incentive is to die broke. Family businesses won’t be able to pass from one generation to the next. This is how the death tax destroys jobs and investment.

By contrast, former President Trump will make his death tax relief permanent. Family businesses and estates will remain vibrantly intact.

This is one of many vital tax issues voters should consider on Election Day.

Panel of Arab-American voters declares their refusal to support VP Harris

MSNBC showed a panel of Arab-American voters declaring their refusal to support Vice President Kamala Harris, with one saying she would vote for former President Trump instead.

NBC news correspondent Yasmin Vossoughian spoke to MSNBC host Katy Tur about how many Arab-Americans feel that Harris is in lockstep with President Biden when it comes to America’s support of Israel and its military action in the Middle East. Vossoughian went on to show her conversation with Lebanese-American voters in Dearborn, Michigan.

“Who is voting for Donald Trump in ’24?” the news correspondent asked the panel, causing one young woman to raise her hand and then a man to reply “It’s possible. It’s definitely not Bide-uh-Harris, that’s for sure.”

Vossoughian proceeded to ask, “Who is voting for Kamala Harris here?” to which there was no response. “Absolutely no?”

KAMALA HARRIS’ SUPPORT WITH ARAB AND MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN MICHIGAN IS ‘TENUOUS’: DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST

“No,” a man replied. “Not possible.”

“There’s nothing she can do or say for us to change our mind,” a woman answered.

“Who is voting third party in 2024?” Vossoughian went on to ask, causing 3 of the four panelists to raise their hands.

“So, Jill Stein?” she asked, to which a woman nodded in affirmation.

“It’s also a possibility that some of us will just abstain from voting altogether” a man replied. “But we do know that’s not the best political strategy, you know.”

“Why are you voting for Donald Trump?” Vossoughian asked the young woman who said she would support him.

“Because my main goal is to get someone who is actively funding a genocide out of office,” the young woman replied, later confirming the nature of her vote was “against Kamala Harris.”

Vossoughian pressed her, arguing, “Donald Trump has said he will reinstate the Muslim ban.”

To which the young woman responded with skepticism, saying, “He said that last time.”

MICHAEL MOORE URGES VP KAMALA HARRIS TO APPEAL TO ARAB AMERICANS OVER ‘SERIOUS CONCERNS’ ABOUT LOSING MICHIGAN

When asked about a claim Trump wants Netanyahu to “finish the job,” she doubled down on the idea that Trump is more bark than bite when it comes to policy, but is a better guarantor of safety.

“Donald Trump said a lot of things his first time around that terrified me,” the young woman said. “The campaign that the Democrats ran was that Donald Trump hates us. I felt safe around the country when Trump was in office. I don’t feel safe right now with Kamala in office. That speaks more.”

One man contested that Trump is “bad news” for the country and that he would not support him with a protest vote. Vossoughian observed that some say that voting Jill Stein, functionally, may as well be a vote for Trump.

“That’s a moral decision I’m going to make, that I cannot put a vote behind a man that obviously has nefarious intent.”

Green Party candidate Jill Stein has been making gains with Muslim voters, leading Harris in the swing states of Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin, according to a recent survey by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

“These new survey findings make it clear that American Muslim voters have the potential to determine the outcomes in several key battleground states and that they are still up for grabs in the 2024 election,” said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw.

Lawmakers sound alarm as new blue state proposal could hike gas prices days after election

Californians already paying the highest gas prices in the country could have another tax hike headed their way, if proposed changes to the state’s low carbon fuel standard are adopted.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) — which consists of board members appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom and the Democrat-controlled legislature — is scheduled to vote just days after the election on a new proposal that would lower carbon emissions faster, but increase the cost of petroleum refineries. CARB has the authority to impose regulations without legislative oversight.

Twenty-five Republicans are sounding the alarm and urging the board to delay the vote after an independent finding showed it could increase the cost at the pump per gallon by 47 cents.

CALIFORNIA’S ‘SECRET’ 50-CENT GAS TAX HIKE COMING IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS

“It’s a big, big deal, and so people deserve to know and have full transparency by these boards, what it is that they’re doing and the impact that it will have on their daily life,” state Sen. Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh, R-Yucaipa, told Fox News Digital in an interview. “So, we talk about the cost of living in California. We talk about the top concerns in California is the cost of living, and when it comes to the impact of fuels, this would be a direct ripple effect on increasing the cost of living in California. People need a break.”

In a letter to CARB chair Liane Randolph, Ochoa Bogh and Assemblymember Greg Wallis noted that Californians currently pay $1.50 more per gallon than the national average, and CARB’s proposed changes could add 65 to 85 cents next year, potentially reaching $1.50 by 2035.

“What we’re asking is that before you take a vote on new standards that are going to obviously have an impact on fuel prices, give us full disclosure as to what exactly it is that you’re imposing and what the financial impact will be on Californians,” Ochoa Bogh said.

OIL AND GAS TRADE GROUP DECRIES GOV. NEWSOM’S ‘PERSONAL INSULTS’ IN WAKE OF BILL DESIGNED TO LOWER PUMP PRICES

CARB initially estimated a 47-cent per gallon increase in gas prices for public comment, but retracted the estimate after receiving massive backlash.

The CARB report foresaw gasoline prices increasing due to the Low Carbon Fuel Standard reforms that were created in 2007, likely rising by 47 cents next year and 52 cents by 2026. Diesel prices could climb by 59 cents this year and 66 cents in two years. Long-term projections suggest gasoline could surge by $1.15 and diesel by $1.50 per gallon from 2031 to 2046, with jet fuel increasing by $1.21.

The air board staff later called the gas price hike projections “incomplete” in a December report, focusing instead on the cost savings to drivers as more people transition to electric vehicles.

The Golden State’s broad effort to electrify its transportation sector is part of the California Climate Commitment unveiled by Newsom two years ago. Under the plan, the state is phasing out reliance on fossil fuels, deploying green energy, cutting greenhouse gas emissions 85% by 2045 and decreasing oil demand by a staggering 94%.

FOX Business reached out to CARB for comment but did not hear back by publication deadline.

FBI quietly revises violent crime statistics weeks after fact-check during ABC debate

A fact-check in the ABC News presidential debate has aged poorly after the FBI quietly made a stunning correction about violent crime rates in the U.S.

In last month’s political showdown between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump cited the rise of violent crime to hammer the Biden-Harris administration’s record.

“Crime here is up and through the roof despite their fraudulent statements that they made,” Trump said. “Crime in this country is through the roof.”

Moments later, ABC debate moderator David Muir attempted to fact-check the Republican nominee.

LIBERAL ‘SNL’ TAKES SWIPE AT ABC’S ‘BIASED’ PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE IN COLD OPEN: ‘DUH’

“President Trump, as you know, the FBI says overall violent crime is actually coming down in this country,” Muir responded.

Trump immediately pushed back.

“Excuse me,” Trump told Muir. “They were defrauding statements. They didn’t include the worst cities. They didn’t include the cities with the worst crime. It was a fraud. Just like their number of 818,000 jobs that they said they created turned out to be a fraud.”

FBI’S ‘FLAWED’ CRIME DATA HIGHLIGHTED BY CHICAGO’S 118 ‘MISSING MURDERS’: EXPERT

A recent FBI revision appears to back Trump. After reporting there was a 2.1% drop in violent crimes in 2022, the FBI now admits there was actually a 4.5% increase.

According to crime and data expert John Lott, the new numbers reflect a net increase of 80,029 violent crimes in 2022 over 2021. He found that under the umbrella of violent crime, there were an additional 1,699 murders, 7,780 rapes, 33,459 robberies and 37,091 aggravated assaults that year.

Muir has yet to acknowledge the FBI’s stat change on “World News Tonight,” according to Grabien transcripts.

ABC News did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital‘s request for comment.

ABC News sparked intense fury as its debate moderators repeatedly fact-checked Trump while letting all of Harris’ claims go unchallenged.

Even the liberal writers of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” took a swipe at its broadcast rival for its “biased” debate.

“I had hoped the takeaway of the debate I moderated would be my striking good looks, but unfortunately, it was whether or not I was biased towards the Democrats, which… duh,” cast member Andrew Dismukes’ Muir told viewers, sparking laughs from the audience.

Trump himself has repeatedly slammed Muir and ABC News, accusing the network of breaking the “deal” it had made with the Trump campaign prior to the debate.

“Now you don’t know this, but we had a deal with ABC that there will be no corrections of any kind, and they violated the deal. Why? Because they’re bad people, and they’re fake news,” Trump said on Sept. 26 . “So he did it many times to me during the debate. He violated the deal. That’s the deal, because you can take anything and try and make up stories with it. We had a deal where that wouldn’t happen. You could do whatever you wanted as soon as the debate was over, but he did it in total violation of what our agreement was. And a lot of people standing right over there [as he looked toward his staff] will tell you exactly what it was, will show you what it was. David Muir has lost all credibility.”
