New ‘insulting’ Harris campaign ad targets Black men’s love lives

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign released a new digital advertisement that targets Black men’s love lives, insinuating that they will be rejected by women if they don’t have a plan to vote.

The ads depict a dating game in which a Black man approaches a group of women who are holding balloons. They begin to ask him questions about himself, including how much he makes, how tall he is and whether he works out.

The man’s answers get seemingly positive responses from the women, until one asks him if he has a plan to vote in November.

“Nah, not my thing,” the man says, prompting all the women in the scene to pop their balloons.

“Vote. Election Day is Nov 5,” reads a message at the end of the ad alongside a Harris-Walz campaign logo.

BLACK GROUP FIRES BACK AT OBAMA FOR ‘INSULTING’ HARRIS PITCH: ‘WORST KIND OF IDENTITY POLITICS’

“New Harris/Walz ad tells black men that women will reject them if they don’t vote,” Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology President Richard Hanania remarked in a post on X along with a video of the ad. “Memorable and works as an appeal to self-interest.”

But not all users were sold on the content of the ad, with some arguing that the ad only served to “insult” and “dehumanize” Black men.

“Democrats continue to dehumanize and insult black men and try to shame and pressure them into only voting for them,” one user wrote. “Kamala campaign doesn’t even try to engage respectfully.”

“Does the Harris Walz team really believe this will convince anyone to vote for them?” asked another.

“Belittling and insulting,” another user added.

“I think this might have the opposite effect,” one user quipped.

‘AUTO WORKERS FOR TRUMP’ LEADER SAYS THOUSANDS POISED TO BREAK FROM DEMS OVER GREEN POLICIES, JOB KILLING REGS

The ad comes as some have begun to speculate that Harris is struggling to win over the support of young Black men, a typically dependable demographic of voters for Democrats.

According to one Howard University Initiative on Public Opinion poll, 81% of Black men say they plan to vote for Harris, though that number drops to 68% for Black men under 50 years old, with 21% of that group indicating they plan to support former President Trump.

Former President Barack Obama has also joined in on the recent appeal to Black men, arguing at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month that the group should have the same enthusiasm for Harris as they did for his campaigns in 2008 and 2012.

“My understanding, based on reports I’m getting from campaigns and communities, is that we have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all quarters of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” Obama said at the time, adding that the lack of enthusiasm “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers” and that they might not want to support a female president.

“And you are thinking about sitting out?” he said. “Part of it makes me think – and I’m speaking to men directly – part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment.

Trump gains support of several Black male celebrities as Harris struggles with Black men

Several Black male celebrities have announced their support for the Republican presidential nominee, former President Trump.

With only a few weeks until election day, the Harris campaign sees itself struggling with Black men as Trump is making gains with the group who are traditionally some of the Democratic Party’s most reliable supporters.

According to a New York Times/Siena College poll released last week, Harris currently holds 78% of the Black vote, which is down from 2020, when President Biden won approximately 90% of that voting bloc. It’s also down from 2016, when Hillary Clinton won approximately 92% of the Black vote. Harris’ support among Black men has dropped even more significantly, according to the report: 70% said they would vote for Harris in November, down from Biden’s 85% in 2020.

Per an NCAAP survey, one in four Black men under 50 said they would support Trump in 2024.

While Harris has made numerous attempts to gain support from men and Black America, male commentators from radio host Charlamagne Tha God to comedic actor Eddie Griffin have warned that it may not work and that Trump himself has a unique appeal to Black men.

HARRIS RAMPS UP OUTREACH TO BLACK MALE VOTERS AS POLLS SUGGEST TRUMP MAKING GAINS

During this campaign, Trump has garnered the support of several notable Black male entertainers and athletes.

Lord Jamar

One of the members of the hip-hop group Brand Nubian, Lord Jamar, recently came out supporting Trump in an interview.

Jamar, a rapper, producer, and actor from shows like “The Sopranos,” slammed Harris and her supporters and applauded Trump’s leadership.

“This woman, to me, is not qualified to run, you know, a Dunkin’ Donuts or a 7-Eleven, let alone the corporation that we call the United States of America,” Jamar, a founding member of Brand Nubian, said in an interview with “The Art of Dialogue” last week.

“Let’s keep it real a n—- like Trump. First of all, there was no wars when Trump was in – was the president, how about that? There was no wars going on while Trump was president. This mother—— was doing gangster s— to n—– like in the Taliban showing them pictures of their house from a satellite,” he said.

Jamar added that he is among many Black Americans “in the real world” that do not support Harris.

“Trust me the sentiment on the street in the real world is a lot of people are not f—— with this woman. They see right through her, and they’re trying to blame it on Black men, but no, I see a lot of Black women that are not f—— with her neither.”

Kodak Black

Bill K. Kapri, also known as Kodak Black, has been an ardent Trump supporter since the former president pardoned him in 2021. The 27-year-old rapper also made appearances at Trump’s campaign rallies as he bids for reelection in 2024.

Florida native Kodak also dropped a supportive song called Fivio Foreign that featured portions of Trump’s past speeches.

The self-identified Haitian rapper seemed to be upset at Trump after the GOP presidential nominee echoed viral claims that migrants had been seen eating pets and animals at the last presidential debate.

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats,” Trump said during the second presidential debate in September. “They’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”

The remarks came after the influx of Haitian migrants into the small town of Springfield, Ohio, was brought into the spotlight.

“We ain’t voting for nothing,” Kodak said. “I ain’t gonna lie, Haitians, we came too far, bro. We came too f–king far, homie… We ain’t taking no Haitian slander.”

However, just days after Kodak’s remarks, the rapper attended a Trump rally in Uniondale, New York in September, taking photos with Trump supporters.

HARRIS UNVEILS NEW AGENDA AS SHE COURTS BLACK MALE VOTERS

Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell

Former Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowlers Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell joined Trump onstage at a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Brown, wearing.a red MAGA hat, shouted “Let’s vote for Trump! Let’s make some noise for the president!”

“Let’s go Trump, you already know, vote Trump, let’s go,” Bell said

Brown proceeded to lead the crowd in a “Here we go Steelers” chant.

The ex-NFL player has been vocal about his support of Trump, frequently commenting about the GOP presidential nominee on X.

Brown, who left the Steelers in 2018 when he was traded to the Raiders, also frequently criticizes Harris.

Brown on Thursday posted on X about his appearance at the rally saying, “Time to help make real change.”

Lawrence Taylor

New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor spoke at a Trump campaign rally in Wildwood, N.J., on May 11.

Taylor, speaking in front of 40,000 people on the Jersey shore, talked about how he left the Democratic Party.

“I grew up a Democrat, and I’ve always been a Democrat, until I met this man right here,” Taylor said to cheers. “Nobody in my family ever will vote for a Democrat again.”

L.T. is widely regarded as the best linebacker to ever play in the NFL.

Herschel Walker

Former NFL running back Herschell Walker is another well-known backer of Trump.

Walker is a former all-American football running back who played in the NFL for 12 seasons. Prior to that, he played for the upstart USFL league that intended to compete with the NFL. Trump was an investor in the league and the owner of the league’s New Jersey Generals franchise that Walker played for.

In 2022, Walker won the Republican Senate nomination in Georgia by an overwhelming majority of the vote after receiving the endorsement of Trump, but went on to lose the general election to Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock.

Walker recently spoke out against former President Obama for his recent criticisms towards Black men not supporting Kamala Harris.

Don King

Trump’s campaign team posted a video on Instagram of famous and legendary boxing promoter Don King endorsing Trump.

“Get re-elected,” Cleveland native King said. “And we must re-elect him to save ourselves. You know, a vote for Trump is a vote for yourself.”

King went on to say, “Because we have to fight the system of lies and the creation of wrong being right and right being wrong … that’s got to be eliminated. And the only one who has the intestinal fortitude to be able to stand up and fight the system like it should be fought.”

Now a South Florida resident, King, 93, promoted two of Muhammad Ali’s greatest boxing fights, the “Rumble in the Jungle” and the “Thrilla in Manila,” throughout his illustrious career.

He joined Trump on the campaign trail in 2016.

Mike Tyson

Prolific boxer Mike Tyson’s support of Trump dates back to his first 2016 campaign that led to his presidency.

His most recent comments on the election regarding Trump were favorable to the GOP presidential nominee.

“Trump is going to win,” Tyson said September 20 on the “It Is What It Is” podcast starring former rappers Mase and Cam’ron.

“Is that who you want to win?” podcast co-host Cam’ron asked.

“Yeah, it’d be nice if he wins, yeah,” Tyson replied. He continued, “I have my reasons [for wanting him to win]… He is just a good man. Listen, I don’t agree with all his s–t. Nobody agrees with all my s–t, but you know, they [are] good people. No one is perfect in this world. Everybody got their s–t, you know.”

Mase, a rapper turned preacher, said that he is “conservative” and “probably on the side of Trump.”

During the early days of Tyson’s boxing career, he used to box at billionaire Trump’s hotels.

50 Cent

Curtis James Jackson III, also known as 50 Cent, although he had not endorsed Trump, explained why people like him are gravitating toward the GOP candidate after his reaction to the first assassination attempt.

When Jackson was asked what his stance was on the 2024 election in an interview to discuss his new book “The Accomplice,” Jackson replied “I’d like to stay out of it.”

Jackson added that he related to Trump when the former president raised his fist after getting shot in the now iconic image.

“He says fight. All right. And that’s exactly what I did after I got shot. I just went into fight mode,” he said. “People identify with it that way.”

50 Cent had previously entertained the idea of supporting Trump in the past. Jackson in June told CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion that he believed Black men were “identifying with Trump” because “they’ve got RICO charges [too].”

Earlier this year, he added, “I think Trump’s gonna be president again, but I’m not gonna say that.”

Encircling Taiwan was smokescreen for China’s real goal in region, expert warns

KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN – Contrary to what much of the world’s media has reported, China’s 13-hour simulated blockade of Taiwan that began on Monday, Oct. 14, using a record-breaking number of planes, an aircraft carrier, and both Navy and Coast Guard vessels, was not quite so simple as China “punishing” Taiwan’s new president William Lai for comments he’s made since taking office in May of this year.

“China planned the exercises in advance and would have carried them out regardless of what Lai said,” nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council Global China Hub Elizabeth Freund Larus told Fox News Digital. “The military exercises are intended to wear down Taiwan’s military hardware and personnel. The purposes of the exercises are to threaten Taiwan’s security to the point that the Taiwan people lose confidence in their government and to change the status quo of a Taiwan separate from China.”

All those reasons would be enough to justify the military maneuvers if one views them from Beijing’s tactical standpoint, but senior research fellow with the R.O.C. Society for Strategic Studies, Dr. Chang Ching, who also served in the Navy for several decades, told Fox News Digital that people are missing the big picture. Chang pointed to publicly available military logs from Japan that tracked both Russian and Chinese ships over several days before the 13-hour exercise.

TAIWANESE PEOPLE READY TO FIGHT AS CHINA RAMPS UP AGGRESSION, AMBASSADOR SAYS

A joint staff press release from Japan’s Ministry of Defense on Monday, Oct. 14, stated, “On October 11, 2024 (Friday), around 5 PM, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force confirmed the presence of six vessels [four Chinese and two Russian] in the waters approximately 400 km (approx 248 miles) northeast of Okinotorishima Island (Tokyo).” These were just some of the ships identified, and Japanese press releases noted that they had been tracking both Chinese and Russian naval actions since late September.

The location of these ships at those times, Chang asserted, means they cannot have been plausibly connected to the short Taiwan blockade. “The real target is the United States,” he told Fox News Digital. “They were using a very old Chinese strategy called ‘encircling the point/striking the reinforcement;’ in other words, practicing ways to ambush the U.S. Navy if it heads towards an already held-hostage Taiwan. If China can convince the U.S. that intervening in any actions it chooses to take in the Taiwan Strait is not worth the risk, then Beijing wins.”

Other local experts had similar takes on the situation. Taiwan’s Central News Agency quoted assistant professor at Tamkang University Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies Lin Ying-yu, who argued that the timing of the military drills was an attempt by China to probe the United States’ ability to respond to simultaneous crises on the Korean Peninsula and in the Taiwan Strait.

CHINA SEEKS TO ‘WEAR DOWN TAIWAN’S RELIANCE’ WITH COVERT ECONOMIC AND CYBER OPERATIONS, US WARGAMERS SAY

The Chinese Navy, depending on what matrix is used to measure it, is either in second place after the U.S., has overtaken the U.S., or is basically even. Regardless of rankings, the Chinese have a formidable navy that is often dismissed as inexperienced. Analysts such as Chang, however, who’s spent his adult life studying military strategy and threats, say those who underestimate China’s navy do so at their peril.

China’s fleets boasts many smaller and more modern ships. According to the Center for Strategic & International Studies, about 70% of Chinese warships were launched after 2010, while only about 25% of the U.S. Navy’s were.

Unlike in the past, for Joint Sword 2024B there was no 24-hour prior notification, no specific latitude or longitude parameters were announced, and to add a final touch of menace, no date or time was given for when the exercise was scheduled to end.

Despite this, the general mood on the streets of Taiwan during the encirclement was calm, with almost no one telling the media they felt scared or threatened. Some say such nonchalance is worrying as it implies that the Taiwanese people are beginning to accept that their government and military are powerless to stop China’s incursions that inch closer each time – Joint Sword 2024B, for example, pushed to within 24 nautical miles of Taiwan.

China’s large and well-armed Coast Guard also took part in Joint Sword 2024B. Many Chinese Coast Guard ships are essentially warships, and the fleet includes several 10,000-ton vessels equipped with 76mm guns, and capable of top speeds of 25 knots (28.7 MPH).

In a move Elizabeth Freund Larus described as “rather macabre,” and Chang called “a cynical reflection of their ‘abusive relationship’ mindset,” an image was released on the official China Coast Guard Weibo account (China’s version of X), depicting a drill route around Taiwan in the shape of a heart. The image featured Chinese characters that translate roughly to “Hello my sweetheart! Our patrol is our way of loving you.”

TAIWAN REACTS TO TRUMP’S THEY ‘SHOULD PAY US FOR DEFENSE’ COMMENTS

In a recent poll, some 70% of Taiwanese said they expected some type of U.S. help in the event of a Chinese attack, but the U.S. reaction to Joint Sword 2024B was seen by some as being tepid and confusing.

“The United States is seriously concerned by the People’s Liberation Army joint military drills in the Taiwan Strait and around Taiwan,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement. “The PRC response with military provocations to a routine annual speech is unwarranted and risks escalation.”

FOR CHINA’S MILITARY PLANNERS, TAIWAN IS NOT AN EASY ISLAND TO INVADE

The State Department Asia Pacific Media Hub issued a statement via X on Oct. 15 that read in part, “We have closely monitored the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) exercise, JOINT SWORD 2024B, around Taiwan. This military pressure operation is irresponsible, disproportionate, and destabilizing.”

Some in Taiwan are asking why the State Department chose to use the word “disproportionate,” as Taiwan has done nothing that would warrant even a “proportionate” response. With just weeks to go before the American presidential election, all official comments coming out of D.C. are likely to be carefully vetted, which makes the State Department’s comments all the more puzzling.

Considering that almost anything Taiwan does is seen by Beijing as some sort of “pro-independence provocation,” there are calls in Taiwan for the democracies of the world, led by the United States, to come together and prepare concrete reactions to China’s continual attempts to change the status quo, militarize the Taiwan Strait, and deprive the people of Taiwan of their hard-won democracy.

Assistant Director of the Atlantic Council’s Global China Hub, Kitsch Liao, told Fox New Digital that it’s “imperative for Taiwan to provide an update to its National Security Strategy, last updated in 2007, to act as a North star, and to galvanize collective efforts toward peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.”

Steelers legends endorse Harris ahead of Trump’s appearance at game vs Jets

Ahead of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s appearance at Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game, two of the franchise’s legends, and the family of another, have endorsed his opponent.

Jerome Bettis, “Mean” Joe Greene and the family of the late Franco Harris all publicly supported Democrat Kamala Harris on Sunday.

“I know this city and I love this city – we work hard to make things happen. No hot air. No bull. This is what defines the Steel City – and it’s the opposite of what Donald Trump stands for,” Bettis said in a statement. “Donald Trump has made promise after promise to the city of Pittsburgh, and time after time, he’s failed to deliver…

“And it’s time for us to elect a leader who’s gonna fight for us. Someone who’s gonna roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Not just complain about it at a half-empty venue. There’s only one person in this race who fits that bill: Vice President Kamala Harris.”

The family of Franco Harris, the late running back, added, “Hard work and integrity are the bedrock of Western Pennsylvania and are values my father instilled in me. He taught me that true greatness is achieved by being a part of a team and that leadership is defined by the actions taken to help the whole team succeed. He would be greatly honored to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris because she shares this belief. She champions ideals my father stood for: improving education, building good jobs, supporting labor unions and making sure everyone gets a fair shake.”

“You got my vote for sure,” added Greene.

BROWNS’ DESHAUN WATSON CARTED OFF FIELD WITH APPARENT ACHILLES INJURY

Trump held a rally in nearby Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, the home of legendary golfer Arnold Palmer. Former Steelers stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell attended the rally, and they are expected to be with Trump on Sunday night.

The Steelers released a statement Saturday announcing new security protocols and warning fans about potential delays.

“With former President Trump expected to attend Sunday night’s game as a guest of an individual suite holder, we are working with Secret Service and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all our fans,” the statement said. “As always, we will work to make the fan experience the same as it always is for every Steelers home game at Acrisure Stadium.

“We encourage fans to arrive early to the parking lots and to the gates so that they can enjoy our pregame experience and our celebrations throughout the game that will honor the 50th anniversary of our Super Bowl IX team.”

Trump last attended a big football game on Sept. 28 at the University of Alabama to watch the Crimson Tide take on the Georgia Bulldogs. His presence at the game was met with chants of “USA!”

JD Vance takes faith approach after Harris mocked pro-life protesters at rally

An attendee at Sen. JD Vance’s Wisconsin rally shouted “Jesus is King!” during his speech on Sunday afternoon, with Vance echoing the attendee and repeating the same phrase – a different approach than Vice President Kamala Harris seemed to take last week.

Vance shared that, while he doesn’t talk about his faith often, he returned to his faith as a young man and is a devout Christian. He said he was baptized in 2019.

“I say this as a Christian, as a person who was baptized for the first time just a few years ago. There is something really bizarre with Kamala Harris’ anti-Christian rhetoric and anti-Christian approach to public policy,” Vance explained.

This comes after Vice President Kamala Harris seemingly told two Christian students at her Wisconsin rally last week that they were “at the wrong rally” when they shouted “Jesus is Lord” and “Christ is King.”

PRO-LIFE PROTESTERS SPEAK OUT AFTER ALLEGEDLY BEING MOCKED, PUSHED AT HARRIS RALLY: ‘WE DID GOD’S WORK’

As he continued speaking about faith and politics, he was interrupted by an attendee who shouted “Jesus is King.”

“That’s right. Jesus is King,” Vance responds.

Vance then addressed a viral video of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer wearing a Harris-Walz campaign hat while feeding Doritos to a kneeling podcast host in what some critics said made a mockery of a sacred Christian rite.

“I don’t think that we’ve seen anything like this in modern American politics,” Vance said. “Gretchen Whitmer does this really bizarre thing where she acts like she’s given somebody communion, but it’s a Dorito. And of course, Gretchen Whitmer isn’t like a minister of anything except for, you know, a church I don’t necessarily want to talk about, but think about how sacrilegious that is and think about how offensive that is to every person.”

“Frankly, whether you’re a person of Christian faith or not, Donald Trump and I are going to fight for your right to live your values, because that’s what the First Amendment protects. And I think whether you’re a Christian, a Catholic or any other faith or no faith at all, when you see an American leader, when you see a surrogate of Kamala Harris insulting people of the Christian faith, I think that we should say to every single one of those people, you’re fired. We’re not giving you any more power,” Vance continued.

CATHOLICS HOLD ‘ROSARY RALLY’ OUTSIDE GRETCHEN WHITMER’S HOUSE AFTER DORITOS VIDEO SPARKS BACKLASH

Whitmer has since apologized for the video and emphasized that the video was not meant to mock people of faith.

Vance continued speaking about the support the Trump administration has for religious people, unlike the Harris campaign, he said.

“There are a lot of Catholics. So I think rightfully feel abandoned by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s leadership. And they’re just looking for somebody to protect their rights and make this country an affordable and decent place to raise a family,” Vance said during his rally in Waukesha.

“And that’s all I think that’s true of a lot of Catholics. It’s true of non-Catholics, too. But we cannot have an American government that is persecuting Christians for living their faith. We should be rewarding people and encouraging people to live their faith.”

Vance’s comments come after two pro-life Wisconsin college students insisted that they were doing “God’s work” by attending Harris’ rally on their university’s campus and shouting pro-life, Christian messages last week.

GRETCHEN WHITMER APOLOGIZES FOR DORITOS VIDEO CRITICS SAY MOCKED CHRISTIAN SACRAMENT

In video footage of the rally, the student’s voices are heard shouting the phrases.

Harris, pausing her speech, turned her attention to them, and said, “You guys are at the wrong rally.”

She continued as the crowd roared, “I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street” – referring to Trump’s rally.

Luke Polaske, a University of Wisconsin-La Crosse junior, shared a vivid account of the incident from his perspective, stating that he and fellow UW-La Crosse junior Grant Beth were approximately 20 to 30 yards away from Harris in the small venue. In detailing the encounter, he described his perceived interaction with the vice president.

“There’s a lot of controversy that says she wasn’t talking to us or [that] we left. We didn’t get kicked out. Well, I can speak on Grant and I’s behalf,” Polaske said.

“On video, Grant’s getting pushed and shoved, and there’s about five seconds before she tells us to go to a small rally down the street. You can see on the video, she waves. She was actually waving to me. I took this cross off my neck that I wear and, as we were getting asked to leave, I held it up in the air and waved at her and pointed at her, and she looked directly in the eye, kind of gave me an evil smirk.”

“I just want to clear that up and confirm that she 100% was talking to us.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Kamala Harris’ campaign for comment and did not immediately receive a response.

Nancy Pelosi a ‘key figure’ in ousting Biden from race, NYT journalist says

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was the “key figure” in the movement to remove President Biden from the presidential ticket, according to an upcoming book.

New York Times contributing opinion writer Jonathan Alter’s new book, “American Reckoning: Inside Trump’s Trial—and My Own,” which will release on Tuesday, features details regarding efforts to oust Biden following his disastrous June debate with former President Trump.

In an excerpt from Vanity Fair on Oct. 14, Alter outlined what the headline described was how Pelosi “ripped off the band-aid for Democrats” to convince Biden to step out of the race.

“The key figure in getting Biden to change his mind was Pelosi, who drew on their forty-year friendship. At first, she thought Biden could survive what he described as his ‘bad night.’ But Pelosi is an institutionalist; she loves the House, and her nightmare of not regaining control of that chamber (when Democrats were so close to winning it back) seemed to be coming true,” Alter wrote.

PELOSI WEIGHS IN ON BIDEN OUSTER, INSISTS SHE ONLY HAD CONCERNS ABOUT CAMPAIGN NOT ‘FABULOUS’ PRESIDENT

He continued, “With Republican control of the presidency, both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court, who would check Trump’s authoritarian impulses? After Biden under-performed with Stephanopoulos, Pelosi expected that Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and the Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill would stage an intervention.”

“But the men were MIA,” an insider reportedly told Alter. “She wasn’t happy that the only bloody fingerprints on the knife were hers.”

The excerpt revealed how, less than a few weeks after Biden’s debate, Pelosi began several conversations and phone chats to gently ease Biden out of the race. After Biden remained determined to stay, Pelosi began a more public effort by remarking how “It’s up to the president to decide if he’s going to run” during interviews.

“A fly on the wall would have seen a master class in subtle politics, as the former speaker—a velvet-gloved boss for our times—maneuvered with great sensitivity to ease the President of the United States out of power. ‘She’ll cut your head off, and you’ll never even know,’ one of her friends told me,” Alter wrote.

Eventually, other Democratic leaders became involved, which led to Biden conceding a second run.

Fox News Digital reached out to Pelosi’s office for a comment.

Alter was one of several New York Times writers who quickly published a piece calling on Biden to step down from the race shortly after his debate with Biden. He revealed at the time he was told by “a pillar of the Democratic leadership” that the party would try to remove Biden should he have failed in the debate. After watching Biden’s performance, Alter agreed.

PELOSI SNAPS AT REPORTER ASKING IF SHE WANTS BIDEN TO DROP OUT OF THE RACE: ‘AM I SPEAKING ENGLISH TO YOU?’

“Like the bosses of old — and this is how nominees were chosen until the 1960s — Democrats have a political obligation to pick the candidate most likely to win. This becomes a moral obligation in an election in which democracy is on the line,” Alter wrote in June.

Former president makes fries to troll VP Harris over claim she labored under golden arches

Former President Donald Trump took on a new role as he cooked and served french fries to customers at McDonald’s on Sunday afternoon in Pennsylvania, while dishing out plenty of jabs at Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Hello, everybody. It’s my first day at McDonald’s, I’m looking for a job,” Trump said as he entered the establishment and shook hands with the owner.

Thousands of Trump supporters surrounded the McDonald’s restaurant as Trump spent the afternoon working as a fry cook after accusing Harris of lying about working at the fast food restaurant.

“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald’s,” Trump said through the drive-thru window as he handed out orders.

WHAT DONALD TRUMP SAID HE’S GETTING KAMALA HARRIS FOR HER BIRTHDAY

“I’ve really wanted to do this all my life. And now I’m going to do it because she didn’t do it,” Trump continued.

Trump claimed he also spoke with McDonald’s about Harris’ claims that she worked at the fast-food chain.

“She shouldn’t lie about it. McDonald’s confirmed four times that she never worked here. But, let’s not talk about that. It’s an amazing business. It’s an amazing country. And we’re going to make America greater than ever before,” Trump said.

Trump donned an apron and cooked fries while talking to reporters about his call with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, raising the minimum wage, what it was like working at McDonald’s, and even wishing Kamala Harris a happy birthday.

TRUMP ASKS PENNSYLVANIA CROWD, ‘ARE YOU BETTER OFF NOW THAN YOU WERE FOUR YEARS AGO?’

Fox News Digital’s Brooke Singman joined Trump during his shift and said he was in great spirits and was actually doing the cooking and giving customers their orders.

“I love McDonald’s, I love jobs, I like to see good jobs. And I think it’s inappropriate when somebody puts down all over the place that you work. Think that was a big part of her resume and that you worked at McDonald’s,” Trump said.

Trump smiled and continued to cook fries and hand out orders to customers while praising the manager and promising to make America better if he was elected president again.

“Look how happy everybody is. They’re happy because they want hope. They need hope and that’s what we’re doing is going to give much more than hope you’re going to make. We’re going to take hope and make it back,” Trump said.

The owner of the Feasterville McDonald’s shared a statement with Fox News Digital, highlighting the importance of the former president’s visit.

“As a small, independent business owner, it is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community. That’s why I accepted former President Trump’s request to observe the transformative working experience that 1 in 8 Americans have had: a job at McDonald’s,” owner and operator Derek Giacomantonio said.

“As a former crew member, I can attest this job is more than burgers and fries, but a meaningful pathway to opportunity. Local Pennsylvania franchisees like me are proud to provide more than 25,000 jobs across the state and I’m honored to showcase my restaurant and the incredible impact of the franchise business model here today,” Giacomantonio continued.

One of Trump’s surprised drive-thru customers was a woman originally from Brazil who pleaded with the former president to fix the United States and not let it become like her native country.

FORMER NFL STAR ANTONIO BROWN SLAMS HARRIS, SAYS ‘TAMPON TIM’ WALZ WASN’T A REAL FOOTBALL COACH AT TRUMP RALLY

“Oh my God, oh my God,” the driver exclaims in a video posted by Margo Martin, Deputy Director of Communications for Trump, when she realizes Trump is dishing out her order.

“Look at all the fake news over there,” Trump pointed out the drive-thru window.

“You can take this right?” the driver asks as she hands over the payment to Trump.

“You know this is compliments of Trump, ok?” he responds and hands the driver her order.

“Yes, thank you. Mr. President, please don’t let the United States become Brazil, my native Brazil, please,” the driver pleads.

“We’re gonna make it better than ever, ok?” Trump says and shakes her hand while continuing to greet the crowd through the drive-thru window.

Harris-Walz 2024 Spokesperson Joseph Costello released a statement following Trump’s fry cook shift claiming “Trump doesn’t understand what it’s like to work for living.”

“Today, Donald Trump showed exactly what we would see in a second Trump term: exploiting working people for his own personal gain. Trump doesn’t understand what it’s like to work for a living, no matter how many staged photo ops he does, and his entire second-term plan is to give himself, his wealthy buddies, and giant corporations another massive tax cut,” the statement read. “Vice President Harris on the other hand has a record of standing up for workers and taking on bad actors who rip people off, and she’ll do the same as President.”

With only 15 days till Election Day, Trump is in Pennsylvania campaigning on Sunday at a town hall in Lancaster following his stop at McDonald’s. Trump will then travel to Pittsburgh for the Steelers-Jets NFL game Sunday evening.

Ex-NFL star rips Harris and Walz while taking the stage for Trump in front of Steelers fans

One night after he spoke at a Donald Trump rally, former NFL receiver Antonio Brown was spotted in Pittsburgh outside the stadium he used to call home with the Steelers, passing out “Trump Vance” yellow and black towels to fans before “Sunday Night Football.”

The former president is expected to be in attendance at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night as the Steelers take on Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.

And Brown, who took the stage for a speech in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, where he mocked the Democrat candidates, nominee Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz, continued to show his love for Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, with “Terrible Towels” featuring their names on it with the election less than a month away.

Brown was wearing a black hat that had Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” slogan across it, which comes after he wore a similar red hat and MAGA shirt during the rally on Saturday.

Steelers Nation still holds love for Brown after he grew into a superstar receiver with them after being drafted out of Central Michigan in 2010.

Brown made seven Pro Bowls with the Steelers, including six in a row from 2013-2018, and led the league in receiving twice (2014, 2017) as well as receiving touchdowns (2018).

STEELERS ADD SECURITY MEASURES FOR TRUMP’S ATTENDANCE AT GAME AGAINST AARON RODGERS’ JETS

Brown’s football career took a turn for the worse, though, after that 2018 season and he joined the New England Patriots for a single game before moving on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who he infamously left at MetLife Stadium with his jersey and pads torn off while a game against the Jets in 2021 was ongoing.

Since then, Brown has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, including multiple arrests and sharing his unfiltered opinions through his unofficial brand known as “CTESPN,” which he consistently hashtags on social media.

That game in MetLife Stadium was the last time Brown played in the NFL, but he showed up Sunday night in Pittsburgh to reunite with Steelers fans while making the difference he preached he wanted to for Trump’s campaign.

Brown, who was accompanied by former Steelers teammate Le’Veon Bell in Latrobe on Saturday, took the podium and ripped Harris and Walz.

“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, did you really know they want to put tampons in the boys’ bathroom?” Brown asked the crowd. “That’s really insane, right?”

Brown was referring to Walz being called “Tampon Tim” by Republican opponents after signing a Minnesota law that mandated tampons be free of charge in public schools in 2023.

As Brown continues to show his support of Trump, the Steelers and Acrisure Stadium security team have bolstered protocols while warning fans of delays getting in and out of the stadium with the former president’s arrival scheduled.

“With former President Trump expected to attend Sunday night’s game as a guest of an individual suite holder, we are working with Secret Service and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all our fans,” a statement from the team read.

It is expected that Brown and Bell will be with Trump for the game as well.
