State reportedly planning to bus illegal migrants directly to ICE instead of sanctuary cities
Texas could implement a plan to bus migrants directly to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in an effort to get them processed for deportation, according to media reports.
The move would be a departure from the state’s program, part of Operation Lone Star, that has bussed thousands of migrants to sanctuary cities, a source told the New York Post. It has yet to be approved by Gov. Greg Abbott.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Abbott’s office and ICE.
“We are always going to be involved in border security so long as we’re a border state,” a Texas government source told the newspaper. “We spent a lot of taxpayer money to have the level of deterrent that we have on the border, and we can’t just walk away.”
TRUMP SAYS MEXICO WILL STOP FLOW OF MIGRANTS AFTER SPEAKING WITH MEXICAN PRESIDENT FOLLOWING TARIFF THREATS
Abbott has been especially aggressive in combating illegal immigration, bussing migrants to blue cities in an effort to bring attention to the border crisis. Under the proposed plan, buses chartered by Texas from border cities will be taken to federal detention centers to help ICE agents process migrants quickly, the Post reported.
Texas has been in a legal fight with the Biden administration over its efforts to curb illegal immigration. On Wednesday, an appeals court ruled that the state has the right to build a razor wire border wall to deter migrants.
Officials have also offered land to the incoming Trump administration to build deportation centers to hold illegal immigrant criminals.

“My office has identified several of our properties and is standing by ready to make this happen on Day One of the Trump presidency,” Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham said during a visit to the border Tuesday.
Authorities have also warned of unaccompanied migrant children being caught near the border. On Thursday, a 10-year-old boy from El Salvador told state troopers in Maverick County, Texas, that he had been lost and left behind by a human smuggler.
The boy was holding a cellphone and crying, Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez posted on X. The child said his parents were in the U.S.
APPEALS COURT RULES TEXAS HAS RIGHT TO BUILD RAZOR WIRE BORDER WALL TO DETER ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION: ‘HUGE WIN’
On Sunday, troopers encountered an unaccompanied 2-year-old girl from El Salvador holding a piece of paper with a phone number and her name. She told authorities that her parents were also in the U.S.
That morning, state troopers also encountered a group of 211 illegal immigrants in Maverick County. Among the group were 60 unaccompanied children, ages 2 to 17, and six special interest immigrants from Mali and Angola.

“Regardless of political views, it is unacceptable for any child to be exposed to dangerous criminal trafficking networks,” Olivarez wrote at the time. “With a record number of unaccompanied children and hundreds of thousands missing, there is no one ensuring the safety & security of these children except for the men & women who are on the frontlines daily.”
He noted that the “reality is that many children are exploited & trafficked, never to be heard from again.”
Workers at online retail giant set to strike on busiest shopping days of the year
Amazon workers in more than 20 countries, including the U.S., plan to strike during the busy pre-Christmas shopping days between Black Friday and Cyber Monday to “make Amazon pay,” strike organizers said Thursday.
The “days of resistance” aim to “hold Amazon accountable for [labor] abuses, environmental degradation and threats to democracy,” according to organizers UNI Global Union and Progressive International.
“No matter how much they spend to fight us, corporations like Amazon cannot break the power of workers standing together,” UNI Global Union’s General Secretary Christy Hoffman said in a statement shared with FOX Business. “In Germany, ver.di has led the charge for over a decade, demanding collective bargaining rights — a fight that resonates across the globe. From India to the United States, the U.K. to Canada, workers are rising against exploitation and corporate intimidation. ‘Make Amazon Pay Day’ is a powerful testament to our unity and momentum. No company — no matter how wealthy — can silence the cause of workers demanding justice.”

Countries with striking workers include the U.S. — where employees will strike in “major cities” — the U.K., France, Germany, Japan, Brazil, India and Turkey, the organizers said.
The striking workers will be supported by various unions, anti-poverty and garment worker rights groups and others, according to UNI Global Union.

Amazon, in a statement to FOX Business, accused the organizers of being “intentionally misleading” and promoting a “false narrative.”
“The fact is, at Amazon we provide great pay, great benefits, and great opportunities — all from day one,” Amazon spokesperson Eileen Hards said. “We’ve created more than 1.5 million jobs around the world, and counting, and we provide a modern, safe, and engaging workplace whether you work in an office or at one of our operations buildings.”

The organizers said this will be their fifth year of striking action against Amazon during the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
Specifically, in New Delhi, India, UNI Global Union said that hundreds of Amazon workers will “rally to demand fair treatment considering Amazon’s mistreatment of workers during a massive heatwave last July summer.”

“[Jeff] Bezos’s company has spent untold millions to stop workers from organizing, but the strikes and protests happening around the world show that workers’ desire for justice — for union representation — can’t be stopped,” Hoffman claimed. “We stand united in demanding that Amazon treat its workers fairly, respect fundamental rights, and stop undermining the systems meant to protect us all. ‘Make Amazon Pay Day’ is becoming a global act of resistance against Amazon’s abuse of power.”
It’s not clear how many workers in the U.S. or abroad plan to go on strike.
Women’s college volleyball team praised for forfeiting title shot against trans player
The Boise State women’s volleyball team made the decision to forgo any chance of winning the Mountain West tournament as they were set to face a transgender player in the semifinals.
After defeating Utah State in the first round, the Lady Broncos had a state setup with second-seeded San Jose state University, which has trans player Blaire Fleming on its roster.
Shortly after their playoff victory, Boise State said it would forfeit the semifinal game, thus automatically putting SJSU in the final.

“The decision to not continue to play in the 2024 Mountain West Volleyball Championship tournament was not an easy one,” Boise State Athletics wrote in a statement. “Our team overcame forfeitures to earn a spot in the tournament field and fought for the win over Utah State in the first round on Wednesday.
“They should not have to forgo this opportunity while waiting for a more thoughtful and better system that serves all athletes.”
The Broncos’ decision was met with lots of praise on social media.
It was the third time the Broncos forfeited against San Jose State this season; they also opted not to play in their two regular-season matches.
SPORTS COLUMNIST CLAIMS ‘CISGENDER WOMEN’ ARE THE ‘REAL THREAT’ IN SJSU TRANS CONTROVERSY
Utah State, which Boise State had beaten, forfeited its lone game against SJSU this season as well. So it’s likely that no matter what, SJSU was on to the final.
SJSU, which received six wins by forfeit to help earn a high seed in the tournament, now moves on to the conference championship on Saturday despite never having to step on the court.
They are set to face the winner of San Diego State-Colorado State, which will be determined on Friday. Both teams played their matches against SJSU this season.
Earlier this week, federal Judge Kato Crews in Colorado, appointed by President Biden in January, denied a motion for injunctive relief in a lawsuit by college volleyball players against the conference.
A dozen women jointly filed the suit against the Mountain West and its commissioner, alleging violations of Title IX and their First Amendment rights. Among the women are SJSU co-volleyball captain Brooke Slusser and two former Spartans as well as athletes from other Mountain West schools.

Boise State, Wyoming, Utah State and Nevada were among the conference teams to cancel games against the Spartans due to Fleming’s presence on the team. They were aware the forfeiture would result in a loss on their records, which ultimately helped SJSU secure their high seed.
Comedian makes it known how he really feels about people who voted for Trump
“Crazy Rich Asians” star and “The Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng let slip on Tuesday how he really feels about people who voted for President-elect Trump on Election Day.
The actor and comedian appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and told the host that he thinks there’s nothing wrong with voters having a conservative mindset, but remarked that there are many stupid ones in the country.
“There’s nothing inherently evil or bad about [a] conservative mindset, I just think that we would like to have conservatives who aren’t f—ing morons,” Chieng said, as Kimmel and the audience roared with laughter.
CONGRESS HAS JUST WEEKS TO AVOID A PARTIAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN AFTER THANKSGIVING
Kimmel prompted the discussion by asking Chieng about his experience covering Election Night on “The Daily Show,” wondering if the comedian and the show’s team were prepared for the results that evening. The comedian compared watching the results coming in that night to witnessing a slow-motion car crash.
“Yeah, we were,” Chieng replied. “But I think we kind of knew where it was leaning, being people who have our fingers on the pulse, unfortunately.” He added, “And, uh, covering the election live in America was both a dream come true as a political historian junkie — U.S. political history junkie, and it was also like watching a car slowly crash into the country.”
“And there’s not even much you can do about it at that point other than make dumb jokes about it,” he said.
The comedian went on to rationalize Trump’s victory as the pendulum swinging back to conservatism from liberalism, as he says it has always done in American history. He then noted there isn’t anything wrong with conservatives in theory, but made his derogatory remarks about current ones.
HARRIS CAMPAIGN CHAIR FUMES ABOUT NARRATIVE SHE WAS AFRAID TO DO INTERVIEWS: ‘COMPLETELY BULLS—‘
Chieng went on to speak about his own “MAGA friends.”
“I got MAGA friends. I got friends who are MAGA now, you know, I’m trying — that’s how much I love America — I’m making friends with MAGA people. But sometimes, my MAGA friends, like their messaging is so convoluted,” he said. “I can’t get to what their core issue is because the surface level messaging is so chaotic.”
Chieng continued, “Like sometimes my MAGA friends will be like, ‘Ronny, China caused COVID, but COVID isn’t real.’ And I’m like, ‘OK, well, I don’t know how I feel about it now.'”

Explosive report exposes Biden-Harris admin’s targeting of Christians
A report showed that nearly 70% of enforcement actions executed by the Biden administration’s Education Department targeted faith-based and career schools.
According to a press release published by the American Principles Project (APP), they drew on newly obtained data finding that nearly 70 percent of the Department of Education’s (ED) enforcement actions dealt with faith-based and career schools, even though those schools represent less than 10 percent of students in the US.
APP Policy Director Jon Schweppe said the Democrats have been “busy weaponizing every part of the federal government to target their opponents” for the past four years.
“While major assaults from agencies like the Department of Justice have taken most of the headlines, we should not ignore similarly corrupt efforts in other agencies as well,” Schweppe said.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION RESPONDS TO LIBERTY UNIVERSITY OVER CLAIMS THEY ARE TRYING TO TARNISH THEIR IMAGE
“As our report details, the Biden-Harris Department of Education has been engaged in a long-running scheme to punish Christian colleges that are ideologically opposed to the left’s agenda. The unfair targeting of these institutions has been egregious, and it needs to stop immediately.”
The APP notes that two of the nation’s most prominent Christian universities, Grand Canyon University (GCU) and Liberty University, were subject to scrutiny by the ED. Both of these institutions faced record-level fines worth significantly more than “all penalties imposed over the past seven years combined,” including fines imposed on Penn State ($2.4 million) and Michigan State ($4.5 million) relating to Jerry Sandusky and Larry Nassar’s respective sexual crimes.
GCU currently faces a hurdle while appealing a $37.7 million fine imposed by the ED in November of last year for allegations that the Arizona-based institution misled students about the cost of its doctoral programs over several years.
Furthermore, Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona in April vowed to shut down GCU during a House Appropriations Committee hearing about for-profit colleges. The Biden administration official claimed that “predatory schools” are “preying on first generation students.”
UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO DEALT LEGAL BLOW AFTER CHARGING ‘HEFTY’ FEE AGAINST CONSERVATIVE SPEAKER: ‘MAJOR WIN’
The report from APP said further that at “least 12 Christian colleges have been the target of excessive penalties or banned from receiving federal student aid; by comparison, no Ivy League school has been the recipient of punitive action by the Office of Enforcement.”
“The average fine against a Christian school for a Clery Act violation was $815,000, compared to $228,571 against public and private institutions,” it said.
The report comes after GCU recently scored a legal win over the ED regarding the Christian institution’s non-profit status. The ED denied GCU’s nonprofit recognition after it was approved by the Arizona Board for Private Postsecondary Education, the Internal Revenue Service, the State of Arizona and the Higher Learning Commission.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the ED unlawfully applied an incorrect standard to determine the university’s nonprofit status.

The case is now being remanded back to ED.
A department spokesperson sent a statement to Fox News Digital, saying that a “school’s religious affiliation or non-profit status has absolutely no bearing on our oversight and enforcement actions.”
“Our top priority is protecting safety and academic opportunity for all students at institutions of higher education. The data in the APP report itself pushes a false narrative by distorting information released publicly by the Department,” the spokesperson said.
How Biden-Harris policies may have backfired with women and guns
More Republican women are becoming gun owners, a trend one Second Amendment advocate says is a “direct result of many Biden-Harris policies.”
“Ultimately, we feel unsafe,” Katie Pointer Baney told Fox News Digital. “When we see a very porous border, when we see rising violent crime, when there’s general instability in the economy … And a firearm is one of the best tools out there in order to protect yourself and protect your family.”
Baney is managing director of government affairs for Delta Defense and the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), which provides education and training for millions of gun owners.
Gun ownership rates among American adults as a whole are holding steady at 31%, according to polling data released by Gallup last week. But there has been a slight decrease in men owning guns, offset by a 5% increase in the share of women who reported owning a firearm.
GUN SAFETY INSTRUCTOR SAYS FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM ARE UNFAIRLY SHADOW-BANNING HIM. HE’S NOT ALONE
The change grew more dramatic when Gallup factored in politics.
The percentage of Republican women who report owning a gun increased from 19% in 2007-2012 to 33% in the most recent six-year data set. They are now more likely to own a firearm than Democratic men, whose ownership rates fell from 36% to 29%.
Republican men remain the most likely to own a gun, at 60%, according to Gallup.
The data reflects what thousands of USCCA instructors are observing across the country, Baney said.
“They are seeing a dramatic rise in women attending the classes, younger women, new moms,” she said. “I’m a new mom myself, so I understand what’s motivating these women. It’s to ultimately be able to protect themselves and protect their families.”
WHY GUN OWNERSHIP IS SPIKING AMONG THIS DEMOGRAPHIC
Baney said it was unfortunate to see a political divide among gun owners.
“Gun ownership really isn’t something that should be partisan, yet it often is in political dialogue and conversations,” she said. “We’ve seen less and less Democrats, specifically at the federal level, willing to stand up for Second Amendment rights. So I think that’s now being reflected in the electorate.”
Middle-income and upper-income Americans and those who live in rural areas are also more likely to own guns than their lower-income, urban peers, Gallup found. People living in the South have higher gun ownership rates, with 40% reporting owning a firearm.
Young Democrats — ages 18-29 — had among the lowest gun ownership rates at 9%, Gallup found.

Baney predicted “some leveling off” in female gun ownership rates as the Trump administration takes control of the White House.
“I do think they’re going to get a handle on violent crime. I do think they’re going to close the porous southern border, and we’re going to see less concerns around public safety,” she said. “So I can see gun sales leveling off or perhaps even decreasing a little bit.”
But Baney hopes gun owners will continue seeking training and education, regardless of shifts in buying trends.
“This is something that you consistently need to be doing, irrespective of if you just bought your first gun, or you have many guns, and you’re a seasoned professional,” she said. “You need to get to the range. You need to get to these courses to continue to hone your skills.”
