Elon Musk dunks on top Democrat over ‘hysterical reactions’ to DOGE
Elon Musk, who President Donald Trump tasked with spearheading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) effort, declared in a social media post that “Hysterical reactions” demonstrate the importance of DOGE’s work.
He made the comment in response to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.
“An unelected shadow government is conducting a hostile takeover of the federal government,” a post on Sen. Schumer’s @SenSchumer X account reads, echoing remarks the lawmaker made during a press conference.
RUBIO SAYS ‘NO CHOICE’ BUT TO BRING USAID ‘UNDER CONTROL’ AFTER AGENCY TAKEOVER: ‘RANK INSUBORDINATION’
“DOGE is not a real government agency. DOGE has no authority to make spending decisions. DOGE has no authority to shut programs down or to ignore federal law. DOGE’s conduct cannot be allowed to stand. Congress must take action to restore the rule of law,” Schumer’s post continued.
Musk described the effort to slash government waste and bureaucracy as a one-time opportunity.
“Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters,” he wrote in response to Schumer.
“This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOcracy, rule of the people. We’re never going to get another chance like this. It’s now or never. Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people,” he asserted.

The business magnate has called DOGE “the wood chipper for bureaucracy.”
“If the Treasury Secretary does not remove DOGE’s access to the Treasury payment systems at once: Congress must immediately act,” another post echoing the sentiments Schumer conveyed during the press conference reads. “That is why @RepJeffries and I will work together on legislation to stop unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department’s payment systems. We must protect people’s Social Security payments, Medicare payments, and tax refunds from any possible tampering by DOGE or other unauthorized entities.”

Musk declared in a post, “Doge has not looked at, nor is there any interest in, private financial data. What would we even do with it? The outgoing payment review process just looks at potential fraud and wasteful spending to organizations. Corrupt politicians are the ones complaining. I wonder why?”
RFK Jr now closer to leading America’s health department after Senate committee vote
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will advance to the next step in his effort to become Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary. The vaccine skeptic and environmental crusader who ran for the White House in 2024 before ending his bid and endorsing Trump sustained his bid for a cabinet position in the 47th president’s administration.
The 27-member panel of 14 Republicans and 13 Democrats on the Senate finance committee approved Kennedy’s advancement by a party line vote of 14-13.
Kennedy’s controversial nomination has progressed slowly as the president’s other choices have been moving through the upper chamber and several have been confirmed and sworn in. Even Trump’s controversial Defense Secretary pick, Pete Hegseth, made it past committee and ultimately was confirmed with Vice President Vance casting the tie-breaking vote.
TRUMP HEALTH SECRETARY NOMINEE RFK JR. SURVIVES HEATED HEARINGS
Kennedy survived back-to-back combustible Senate confirmation hearings last week, where Trump’s nominee to lead 18 powerful federal agencies that oversee the nation’s food and health faced plenty of verbal fireworks over past controversial comments, including his repeated claims in recent years linking vaccines to autism, which have been debunked by scientific research.
TRUMP HEALTH SECRETARY NOMINEE RFK JR. SURVIVES HEATED HEARINGS
During the hearings, Democrats also spotlighted Kennedy’s service for years as chair or chief legal counsel for Children’s Health Defense, the nonprofit organization he founded that has advocated against vaccines and sued the federal government numerous times, including a challenge over the authorization of the COVID vaccine for children.
While no Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee were expected to vote to confirm Kennedy, the spotlight was on Sen. Bill Cassidy, the Louisiana physician and chair of the Senate Health Committee.
Cassidy issued a last minute endorsement indicating a party line vote for Kennedy.

“Your past of undermining confidence in vaccines with unfounded or misleading arguments concerns me,” Cassidy told Kennedy at the end of Thursday’s confirmation hearing.
Cassidy’s office confirmed Sunday evening that the senator and Kennedy had been speaking earlier that day.
The 71-year-old Kennedy, a scion of the nation’s most storied political dynasty, launched a long-shot campaign for the Democrat presidential nomination against President Joe Biden in April 2023. But six months later, he switched to an independent run for the White House.
Kennedy made major headlines again last August when he dropped his presidential bid and endorsed Trump. While Kennedy had long identified as a Democrat and repeatedly invoked his late father, former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, and his late uncle, former President John F. Kennedy – who were both assassinated in the 1960s – Kennedy in recent years built relationships with far-right leaders due in part to his high-profile vaccine skepticism.
Trump announced soon after the November election that he would nominate Kennedy to his Cabinet to run HHS.
Kennedy, whose outspoken views on Big Pharma and the food industry have also sparked controversy, has said he aims to shift the focus of the agencies he would oversee toward promotion of a healthy lifestyle, including overhauling dietary guidelines, taking aim at ultra-processed foods and getting to the root causes of chronic diseases.
“Our country is not going to be destroyed because we get the marginal tax rate wrong. It is going to be destroyed if we get this issue wrong,” Kenendy said Thursday as he pointed to chronic diseases. “And I am in a unique position to be able to stop this epidemic.”

With Republicans controlling the Senate by a 53-47 majority, Kennedy can only afford to lose the support of three GOP senators if Democrats unite against his confirmation on the floor of the chamber.
Internet sleuths dig up past ‘radical’ posts of DNC’s new 24-year-old vice chair
Newly elected Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg, a 24-year-old gun control activist and emerging voice in the Democratic Party, is the DNC’s first Gen Z vice chair. He has the digital footprint to prove it.
“Are you ready to go on the offense? We have to win back our young people. I’m the only candidate in this race for any of these positions that is under 30. We had a 20-point shift to the right of our young people. We must show our young people we give a damn about them, that we support them, and we invest in them,” Hogg said at the DNC’s Winter Meeting.
Yet, Hogg could be backed into a defensive position as he assumes his new role as vice chair.
NEW DNC VICE CHAIR PREVIOUSLY CALLED FOR ICE TO BE ABOLISHED
“I have raised over $11 million in the past year to support the future of our party because I don’t just tweet,” Hogg said. “I don’t just talk the talk. I also walk the walk, and I knock the knock on doors around this country.”
Hogg’s old posts have gone viral as conservative activists have sounded the alarm about his past policy positions and rhetoric against conservatives.
In 2022, he rallied around several left-wing positions, including “legalizing all drugs” and “supporting a 100% tax after your first billion.”
“How radical you ask? I don’t think anybody should have over $1 billion in assets there should be a 100% tax after your first billion,” Hogg posted on X in April 2022. “I think we need to do what Australia did in regards to guns. We need universal healthcare Free college for all Legalize all drugs.”
DNC LAMBASTED FOR ‘BEYOND PARODY’ LEADERSHIP VOTE THAT INCLUDED SINGING, GENDER RULES: ‘CAN’T STOP LAUGHING’
Months later, he said he would prefer to own a Porsche than have kids, claiming it is better for the environment.
“Like me? I’m never planning on having kids. I would much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle,” Hogg posted on X in September 2022. “Long term it’s cheaper, better for The environment and will never tell you that it hates you or ask you to pay for college.”
Hogg also acknowledged in 2022 that “any politician doing anything with me is in effect committing political suicide.”
Conservatives on X are calling out the irony of the DNC now electing him to a leadership position.
Many have pointed to Hogg’s progressive views on masculinity as a turnoff to young male voters.
In 2021, Hogg called to “abolish ICE” and “defund the police not USPS.”
Upon accepting the new DNC leadership position, X users are calling out Hogg for his 2022 post that said, “We have enough straight white men in power. It’d be nice to see some people who actually look like our country and not privilege.”
DEMOCRATS ELECT NEW CHAIR WHO BRANDED TRUMP A ‘TRAITOR’ AS PARTY AIMS TO REBOUND FROM DISASTROUS 2024 ELECTION
X users also argued Hogg’s nomination proves the Democratic Party is out of touch with its electorate.
Conservatives have also trolled Hogg’s nomination, arguing that “He will help Republicans win for years to come.”
Hogg garnered national attention in 2018 as a co-founder of March for Our Lives, a student-led organization launched by survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Gabbard scores key Republican senator’s support ahead of pivotal vote
Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., came out in support of Tulsi Gabbard to be Director of National Intelligence (DNI), just hours before her crucial committee vote.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, the senator said, “American intelligence officers around the globe deserve our respect and support. I appreciate Tulsi Gabbard’s engagement with me on a variety of issues to ensure that our intelligence professionals will be supported and policymakers will receive unbiased information under her leadership.”
“I have done what the Framers envisioned for senators to do: use the consultative process to seek firm commitments, in this case commitments that will advance our national security, which is my top priority as a former Marine Corps intelligence officer. Having now secured these commitments, I will support Tulsi’s nomination and look forward to working with her to protect our national security,” he added.

Gabbard will need the support of all Republicans on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in order to advance to the floor for a confirmation vote.
That is assuming she does not get the votes of any Democrats. No Democrats on the committee have endorsed her for the role.
Trump’s border czar vows action if Dem gov sheltering illegal migrant in his home
Trump border czar Tom Homan vowed to “look into” New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s remarks that seemingly taunted the administration to come and “get” an illegal immigrant Murphy suggested was staying in his home.
“I think the governor is pretty foolish saying what he said because I’ve gotten a hold of it. We won’t let it go. We’ll look into it. Then, if he’s knowingly harboring and concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title 8, United States Code 1324. I will seek prosecution or the secretary will seek prosecution,” Homan said Monday night on “Hannity.”
“Maybe he’s bluffing. If he’s not, we’ll deal with that.”
NEW JERSEY GOVERNOR HOUSES MIGRANT AT HIS HOUSE, TELLS FEDS ‘GOOD LUCK’ TRYING TO GET HER
The New Jersey Democrat made the comment in an interview with the progressive grassroots organization Blue Wave New Jersey over the weekend.
“Tammy [Murphy] and I were talking about – I don’t want to get into too much detail, but there is someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to. And we said, you know what? Let’s have her live at our house above our garage,” he said.
“And good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her,” Murphy added, seemingly hinting that the person may be in the United States illegally.

A source close to the governor later told Fox News Digital, “No one ever actually moved into his home, so not for a month, not for a week, not for an hour, not for a day.”
The source added: “He was just talking about someone in his broader orbit who was on edge over the broader climate and was concerned. He mentioned, not even to the person, he mentioned to someone else that they could move in if they want, so I think that’s where some of the misunderstanding was.”
“The person wasn’t undocumented. The person was a legal resident of the United States of America,” the source also said.

City leaders turn on far-left mayor’s defiant stance toward Trump’s crackdown on migrants
Several Chicago aldermen responded to Mayor Brandon Johnson’s defiant posture towards the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
The aldermen were asked if Johnson and city officials were listening to constituents’ voices on the issue.
“Absolutely not,” Alderman Nick Sposato told Fox News Digital. “The mayor is a friend of mine. He’s way left. I’m way right. I don’t know why he’s not listening to the people. I got to believe the majority of the people don’t want these bad people protected in our city and our state and our country.”
Over the past couple of years, frustration among residents has continued to grow at Johnson’s handling of an influx of migrants into the city. Their frustration has been displayed at several city council meetings where they complained about a proposed tax hike to address the city’s budget deficit, while the city spends more than half a billion dollars on sheltering migrants.
TRUMP’S BORDER CZAR TOM HOMAN UNVEILS ‘GAME-CHANGING’ MIGRANT NUMBERS UNDER NEW ADMIN
Despite backlash from residents, Johnson criticized ICE and the Trump administration after they began apprehending illegal immigrants in the city last month.
Alderman Ray Lopez said that Johnson only cares about the opinions of “hyper-liberal White progressives” who live in Chicago.
“He’s not concerned about African-Americans, he’s not concerned about Latinos, and he’s absolutely not concerned about undocumented Mexicans who will bear the brunt of his actions,” he said. “He is playing the game of chicken with their lives, and it’s disgusting.”
A few weeks ago, the Chicago city council blocked Lopez’s proposal that would have allowed local law enforcement to assist ICE to detain migrants with a criminal record.
“Why wouldn’t we allow them to be deported, especially if they’re guilty of the crimes that they’re accused of?,” Alderman Brian Hopkins told Fox News Digital. “He believes that he is such a strong advocate for human rights, no matter what your citizenship status is, that if you’re here and you’re not a citizen and you’re committing heinous crimes, he wants to protect you.”
Two illegal migrants were charged in the murder of a 63-year-old man whose body was found tied up at his Chicago home on Sunday. This occurred the same day that Trump’s border czar Tom Homan led an immigration enforcement operation in the city.
CHICAGO HORROR: 2 MIGRANTS CHARGED WITH MURDER AS HOMAN LEADS ICE RAIDS
“I have Venezuelan gangs—The Tren De Aragua and all the rest of them here fighting against my residents, fighting against local businesses, fighting against even the long-term undocumented who’ve made this their home, causing chaos and dangerous situations on the streets here.” Lopez said. “It’s important now more than ever to revisit this issue and do whatever we can do to work with our federal partners to get rid of these bad actors that are here in our communities and in our city.”
Johnson’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Explosive texts expose Blake Lively’s alleged scapegoat plot after ‘efforts failed’
Justin Baldoni launched a website Saturday that included an amended version of his $400 million defamation lawsuit against his “It Ends With Us” co-star, Blake Lively, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
In addition to the updated suit, Baldoni, 41, shared a timeline of events – including texts and emails involving the actors, intimacy coordinators and producers – as evidence to counter Lively’s claims that she was sexually harassed on set of the drama where he served as director.
“At bottom, this is not a case about celebrities sniping at each other in the press,” Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, argued in the amended complaint. “This is a case about two of the most powerful stars in the world deploying their enormous power to steal an entire film right out of the hands of its director and production studio. Then, when Lively and Reynolds’ efforts failed to win them the acclaim they believed they so richly deserved, they turned their fury on their chosen scapegoat.
BLAKE LIVELY VS JUSTIN BALDONI: EVERYTHING TO KNOW
“Tolerating a year and a half of their behavior while remaining polite and professional at every turn offered [Baldoni] and Wayfarer no protection.”
At the beginning of Lively and Baldoni’s working relationship, the pair actually developed a close relationship, according to the actor.
“Baldoni and Lively shared stories and pictures from their lives, commiserated over family illnesses and exchanged jokes and memes,” reads the amended lawsuit obtained by Fox News Digital. “Baldoni offered concern and support when Lively faced family health concerns. They texted almost daily, and a friendly banter established a comfortable dynamic that, under typical circumstances, would have made working together easy.”
Baldoni’s legal team included a screenshot of Lively jokingly redirecting a compliment given by Baldoni in texts exchanged on May 11, 2023.
JUSTIN BALDONI APOLOGIZES TO BLAKE LIVELY IN 6-MINUTE VOICE NOTE AFTER ‘IT ENDS WITH US’ ROOFTOP SCENE
The screenshot began with Lively’s text saying, “I feel the same. It’s such a good feeling to get work done that we’re proud of. And to do it together. It just clicks when we find it. And that’s just as rewarding as filming it. Or marketing it. Or releasing it. This is all storytelling. This is why we do it.”
“Thank you for your collaboration. I’m really proud of what we’re doing. I like sentimental blake,” Baldoni responded. Lively jokingly replied, “Never met her.”
“I also like a—— blake… don’t worry,” Baldoni replied. “Ok good night!” Lively quipped, “I’ve met her. So have my suppositories.”
Baldoni claimed his “intimate comfort” with Lively continued as filming for “It Ends With Us” went on. His legal team included text messages between Baldoni and Lively from June 2023 where the actress invited him into her trailer to rehearse lines while pumping breast milk. The interaction reportedly occurred after the alleged sexual harassment, according to Baldoni’s lawsuit.

On June 2, 2023, Lively wrote in a text shared by Baldoni’s legal team, “I’m just pumping in my trailer if you want to work out our lines.”
“On every occasion, Baldoni averted his eyes from Lively’s chest, either maintaining eye contact or looking away,” according to the lawsuit.
Baldoni claimed it was actually Lively who “refused to meet” with the intimacy coordinator, leaving him to meet alone and then share the “sex scene suggestions and plans to Lively in the intimacy coordinator’s absence,” the lawsuit stated. “These meetings often took place, at Lively’s insistence, in the couple’s home, and often while Lively’s husband was present.”
BLAKE LIVELY ACCUSES JUSTIN BALDONI’S LAWYER OF ATTEMPTING TO ‘TORPEDO’ ACTRESS’S CAREER ‘FOR GOOD’
Baldoni’s legal team backed up the actor’s claim with a screenshot of him disclosing the information to a female producer. In the screenshot, Baldoni shared his alleged message with Lively.
“Just hired intimacy coordinator who I LOVE,” Baldoni told Lively. “Will set you up to mee/FT with her next week for intro.”
Lively responded, “I feel good. I can meet her when we start 🙂 thank you though!”
To the producer, Baldoni wrote, “Just wanted to tell you about this- seems she doesn’t want to meet intimacy coordinator until we start which may mess up the workflow, but I can still meet with her of course.”
“That’s fine if she doesn’t want to meet her now,” the female producer responded. “You’ll just have to walk her through what you and [intimacy coordinator] are thinking.”

Baldoni claimed that as negative press was building in August 2024 over the “troubled production,” Lively and Reynolds insisted Baldoni take the blame while she dealt with promoting the film. He claimed in a timeline of events posted on the website that the power couple allegedly wrote the draft statement on behalf of his Wayfarer Studios.
“IT ENDS WITH US was a troubled production which we take full accountability for,” the purported draft statement said. “We are very sorry to everyone we caused upset to privately and publicly. Blake Lively, Colleen Hoover, the entire cast and crew led with professionalism every step of the way, any negativity aimed at them is ours to own.”
BLAKE LIVELY, JUSTIN BALDONI MUZZLED BY JUDGE IN HEATED SEXUAL HARASSMENT BATTLE
The statement continued, “We mutually agreed that the cast would be promoting the film separately and understood why. We have always said we are not perfect and even if unintentionally make mistakes, we will always own them. We hold ourselves accountable, it’s not anyone’s job but ours and that’s part of being ‘man enough.’ We will practice what we preach. We are learning and growing from the experience and we thank everyone for their patience as we find a better way to proceed. We are very proud of the film and the welcome arms that it’s been received.”
Lively filed a sexual harassment suit in December against Justin Baldoni, his Wayfarer studio and former PR reps. The same day Lively filed her suit, Baldoni filed a $250 million suit against the New York Times for a December article about the alleged smear campaign Baldoni attempted to run against his co-star.

Weeks later, Baldoni then named Lively and Reynolds in a separate $400 million lawsuit in which he accused the Hollywood power couple of attempting to hijack “It Ends With Us” and create their own narrative.
Baldoni, 41, apologized to Lively in a six-minute message seemingly sent after the pair met to discuss a now-infamous rooftop scene from the movie in which he claimed in legal documents that he felt pressured by Lively’s husband, Reynolds, and her best friend, Taylor Swift, to use Lively’s rewritten scene for the film.
Fox News Digital has reached out to a rep for Lively for comment.
Common cancer type could be detected with more than 80% accuracy in new blood test
A new blood test was found to detect colon cancer with more than 80% accuracy — and to rule it out for 90% of healthy people.
The results were presented at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium held in San Francisco late last month.
They were also published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
WOMAN WITH CANCER REVEALS THE DIET THAT SHE SAYS SAVED HER LIFE
In the study, more than 27,000 adults between 45 and 85 had their blood drawn before undergoing a colonoscopy to screen for signs of cancer. The participants were enrolled between May 2020 and April 2022.
Researchers tested the blood samples for “molecular signals of advanced colorectal cellular changes” and then compared those results with the colonoscopy findings.
The sensitivity of the test, or its success rate at detecting existing colon cancer, was 81.1%, the researchers found.
The specificity of the test, which is the share of participants who did not have colon cancer and tested negative for it, was 90.4%.
CANCER DEATH RATES DECLINE YET NEW DIAGNOSES SPIKE FOR SOME GROUPS, SAYS REPORT
“Additional colorectal cancer screening tests that are convenient, safe and easy to complete are needed,” said lead study author Aasma Shaukat, MD, from NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in a press release from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
“Until now, we have only had stool-based tests and colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy (stool-based). A blood test has the potential for improving colorectal cancer screening rates.”
Pamela Kunz, MD, from Yale School of Medicine, noted that the experimental blood test represents a “new tool in our toolbox” of colorectal cancer screening options.
“The study evaluated blood-based screening for colorectal cancer and may provide a convenient and effective option for colorectal cancer screening in the average-risk U.S. population,” Kunz, who was not involved in the study, stated in the same press release.
“A blood test has the potential for improving colorectal cancer screening rates.”
Pashtoon Kasi, MD, medical director of gastrointestinal medical oncology at City of Hope Orange County in California, was not involved in the study but noted that these types of blood tests — also known as “liquid biopsies” — are “revolutionizing cancer care.”
“It is a simple blood test looking at different components of cancers or tumors that are being shed in the bloodstream — hence, the term ‘liquid biopsy,’” Kasi told Fox News Digital.
Several different kinds of these blood tests are already making their way into clinical practice, the doctor noted.
“Some are cancer-specific like this one, which will be geared toward early detection of colon and rectal cancer. Other liquid biopsy tests are what they call multi-cancer early detection tests (MCED) — meaning they can pick up multiple cancers in just one blood draw,” he said.
AI DETECTS OVARIAN CANCER BETTER THAN HUMAN EXPERTS IN NEW STUDY
The doctor noted that blood tests shouldn’t be used in place of colonoscopies, which remain the “gold standard” of colon cancer screening.
“Colonoscopies can prevent colon cancer through the detection and removal of polyps, non-cancerous growths in the lining of the bowel that can become cancerous,” Kasi said.
“Blood tests are designed to detect cancer, not prevent it.”
If cancer is detected during a blood test, additional tests like a colonoscopy will still need to be done, he added.
“Like most cancers, early detection of colon cancer typically results in better outcomes,” said Kasi. “Typically, colon cancer is slow-growing — and in its early stages, it can be asymptomatic.”

At least a third to half of people do not get colon cancer screenings, studies show — and the hope is that the blood test can help “fill the void,” according to Kasi.
“We know that a colonoscopy typically conjures up unpleasant thoughts of bowel prep, a liquid diet and embarrassment, so it is not a surprise that blood screening tests offer greater appeal,” he said, calling the blood-based test a “potential game-changer” in improving screening rates.
Expanded screening options are especially important given the trend of more people getting diagnosed with colon cancer under the age of 50.
“Colorectal cancer is on a particularly steep incline – so steep that by the year 2030, it will be the leading cause of cancer death for young adults in the United States,” Kasi warned.
“Blood tests are designed to detect cancer, not prevent it.”
“It will be imperative to expand research in this area and to have diagnostic testing that is available for a younger demographic.”
Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the U.S. and the second-deadliest type, according to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
Looking ahead, researchers will continue to study the long-term impact of the colorectal blood test, they noted.
“As blood-based tests get approval from regulatory bodies and Medicare and other payors, the tests will become available for clinical use,” lead study author Shaukat told Fox News Digital.
Blood-based tests are options for men and women between 45 and 85 who are at average risk for colon cancer and due for screening, the doctor noted.
COOKING OIL LINKED TO COLON CANCER IN EARLY STUDY, TIED TO INFLAMMATION
“If you have high risk family history or other medical condition that puts you at increased risk for colon cancer, the test is not an option,” he said. “Also, if the test is positive, it requires a colonoscopy to evaluate for colon polyps or colon cancer.”
The researcher recommends that patients talk with their providers about options for colorectal cancer screening, such as a stool test, blood test and colonoscopy, and select the one that is best for them.
The study did not receive any funding, the release stated.
