Secret Jeffrey Epstein docs to be released filled with contents that will make you ‘sick’

Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., advocated for the Trump administration to release the full, unredacted records related to sexual predator and financier Jeffrey Epstein as Attorney General Pam Bondi now says the Department of Justice could release the records Thursday.

“I think tomorrow…breaking news. Right now, you’re going to see some Epstein information being released by my office. What you’re going to see, hopefully tomorrow, is a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot, a lot of information. But it’s pretty sick what that man did,” Bondi told Fox News’ Jesse Watters Wednesday night.

Her comments came hours after Fox News Digital spoke with Blackburn, who has been among the most vocal Capitol Hill lawmakers calling to release the Epstein records.

“For me, this is not about the celebrity. And I know that there are many people that want to see who all flew on his planes and guested at his Caribbean island,” she told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “But let’s break these human trafficking rings apart. Let’s get these people apprehended. Let’s get them prosecuted. Let’s get them jailed. Let’s put an end to this and save lives.”

GOPERS PRESS FOR THE RELEASE OF JFK, EPSTEIN FILES: HERE’S WHY THEY’RE NOT OUT

WATCH BONDI:

On Monday, Blackburn sent a letter to newly sworn-in FBI Director Kash Patel calling for the complete flight logs from Epstein’s private jet and helicopter, records belonging to Epstein’s partner Ghislaine Maxwell, and video footage from Epstein’s Palm Beach, Florida residence.

The Tennessee Republican has long advocated for the release of the Epstein documents, arguing that making the full set of records public will expose the complex network behind global human and sex trafficking.

TRUMP SIGNS ORDER TO DECLASSIFY FILES ON JFK, RFK AND MLK ASSASSINATIONS

“This will give us insight into this web of human and sex traffickers that has just spread like wildfire across the globe, and it will help us to begin to get accountability for the victims of this horrendous trade,” she said.

Blackburn said that viewing the intricacies of Epstein’s ring will help elected officials uncover the truth and get to the “bottom of this.”

“At the time I started this, I was the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Law,” she said. “So to get this information, we can begin to break these rings apart and find out who he [Epstein] was in business with, who his associates and affiliates were.”

Blackburn said that the sex trafficking web – a $150 million per year business – needs government accountability.

Law enforcement tells me regularly, we need to figure out who constructed this network, who is all involved in this web, [and] how it tied into other countries,” she said. “And to get information and insight to help us begin to break apart the network and get accountability is going to be vitally important.”

ANNA PAULINA LUNA TO LEAD TASK FORCE ON DECLASSIFICATION OF JFK ASSASSINATION RECORDS, EPSTEIN CLIENT LIST

The senator noted that the mystery surrounding Epstein’s unexpected death prior to his 2019 trial feeds into the public’s curiosity and skepticism.

“I do find it very interesting that the French human trafficker and then Epstein both died in jail while they were awaiting trial,” she said. “This speaks to the curiosity that people have, and the concern that this was much larger than just flights to an island. That this was a part of a global human trafficking and sex trafficking ring.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday that Epstein’s client list was awaiting review, and that she was also looking over the President Kennedy and Martin Luther King assassination files.

“It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” Bondi told “America Reports” host John Roberts Friday about the Epstein files. “That’s been a directive by President Trump.”

During his campaign, President Donald Trump promised the declassification of the files. The House’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets is scheduled to hold its first public hearing on March 26.

The White House and the FBI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Trump hits socialist dictator with consequences for not holding his end of the bargain

President Donald Trump says he is reversing a Biden-era grant allowing Chevron to operate within Venezuela on Wednesday.

Trump detailed the decision in a lengthy post on Truth Social, stating that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had not upheld his end of the bargain.

“We are hereby reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022, and also having to do with Electoral conditions within Venezuela, which have not been met by the Maduro regime,” Trump wrote.

“Additionally, the regime has not been transporting the violent criminals that they sent into our Country (the Good Ole’ U.S.A.) back to Venezuela at the rapid pace that they had agreed to,” he added.

NEARLY 200 VENEZUELAN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DETAINED AT GUANTANAMO BAY ARE FLOWN BACK HOME

“I am therefore ordering that the ineffective and unmet Biden “Concession Agreement” be terminated as of the March 1st option to renew. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump continued.

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez described the decision as “inexplicable” in a statement on Telegram, arguing it was a “failed decision.”

“The U.S. government has made a damaging and inexplicable decision by announcing sanctions against the U.S. company Chevron,” Rodriguez said.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio later said on X that he will provide foreign policy guidance to terminate all Biden-era oil and gas licenses “that have shamefully bankrolled the illegitimate Maduro regime.”

BIDEN URGED TO CRACK DOWN ON OIL COMPANIES DOING BUSINESS WITH VENEZUELA AFTER MADURO’S REFUSAL TO CEDE POWER

Chevron exports about 240,000 barrels per day of crude from its Venezuela operations, over a quarter of the country’s entire oil output.

Since his return to office in January, Trump has repeatedly said the U.S. does not need Venezuelan oil and left open the possibility of revoking Chevron’s operating license.

During his first term, Trump pursued a “maximum pressure” sanctions policy against Maduro’s government, especially targeting Venezuela’s energy business.

Tennis legend goes after blue state gov over trans athlete policy: ‘This is not ok!!!’

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova criticized California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the state’s policies regarding transgender participation in girls’ sports as another issue appeared to arise.

A triple-jump record was broken in California girls high school track and field last weekend, sparking the latest debate about trans-inclusion in girls’ sports. The issue came as California bucked President Donald Trump’s executive order keeping biological males out of girls’ and women’s sports.

Navratilova, who has championed fairness in women’s sports, took a shot at Newsom on X.

“Seems fair to me, right??? Hey gov. Newsom- @CAgovernor- this is not ok!!! This is not what one would call progressive. In fact it’s regressive AF,” she wrote.

The California Interscholastic Federation was among the high school governing bodies in the U.S. that announced plans to continue to allow trans athletes to compete in women’s sports despite Trump’s order and the NCAA’s own policy change – which has also been criticized.

Minnesota and Maine also joined California’s stance.

Attorney General Pam Bondi warned those states earlier this week to comply with Trump’s order or face legal action.

“This Department of Justice will hold accountable states and state entities that violate federal law,” Bondi wrote in a letter first obtained by Fox News. “Indeed, we have already begun to do so.”

Bondi was referring to the Justice Department’s move to sue Illinois and New York earlier in February for defying federal immigration laws.

“We also stand ready to sue states and state entities that defy federal antidiscrimination laws,” Bondi wrote.

SJSU ATHLETE WHO SUED OVER TRANSGENDER VOLLEYBALL TEAMMATE FLEES CAMPUS AFTER ALLEGED HARASSMENT AND THREATS

Trump directed the Justice Department and the Education Department to prioritize enforcement actions against athletic associations that deny girls an equal opportunity to participate in sports and athletic events by requiring them to compete against boys. Trump threatened to withhold federal funding from Maine schools over its gender-participation policy, which sparked a spat with Gov. Janet Mills last week.

In California, Bondi said the state “should be on notice,” amid the Department of Education’s Title IX investigation into the California Interscholastic Federation.

“If the Department of Education’s investigation shows that the Federation is indeed denying girls an equal opportunity to participate in sports and athletic events by requiring them to compete against boys, the Department of Justice stands ready to take all appropriate action to enforce federal law,” Bondi wrote.

Bondi said the Justice Department “only wants states and state entities to comply with the law.”

“And federal law requires giving girls an equal opportunity to participate in sports and athletic events by ensuring that girls need to compete only with other girls, not with boys,” Bondi wrote.

Bondi told Fox News that “this Department of Justice will defend women and does not tolerate state officials who ignore federal law.”

“We will leverage every legal option necessary to ensure state compliance with federal law and President Trump’s Executive Order protecting women’s sports,” she said.

Dem support helps Trump nominee clear key vote on path to confirmation

President Donald Trump‘s nominee for labor secretary cleared a key vote before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) on Thursday morning after picking up Democratic support from Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer was reported favorably out of the committee by a bipartisan vote of 13-9.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., ultimately voted against her, despite her attempts to clarify her past support for the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act during her hearing. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, did not vote.

In addition to Hassan, Democratic Sens. John Hickenloopers, D-Colo., and Tim Kaines, D-Va., voted to advance Chavez-DeRemer.

Her history of PRO Act backing seemed to jeopardize her confirmation odds last week, when Paul said he would not vote for her if she continued to support it. Paul’s reluctance meant Chavez-DeRemer would likely need some Democrats’ support to pass the key confirmation hurdle.

Hassan’s support, as a Democrat on the HELP Committee, was a breakthrough for Chavez-DeRemer’s chances.

“The Department of Labor plays an integral role in supporting workers and small businesses alike, and after hearing significant support from constituents, including members of labor unions in New Hampshire, I will support Representative Chavez-DeRemer’s nomination as Secretary of Labor,” Hassan shared in a statement to Fox News Digital.

TRUMP’S NOMINEE FOR LABOR SECRETARY WALKS BACK SUPPORT FOR PRO ACT, EMBRACES REPUBLICAN RIGHT-TO-WORK LAWS

Hassan admitted that she “may not agree on everything” with Chavez-DeRemer, but she is “qualified” to serve and earned “significant support” from New Hampshire voters.

SENATE CONFIRMS TRUMP NOMINEE JAMIESON GREER AS US TRADE REPRESENTATIVE

“Though we may not agree on everything, after meeting with Representative Chavez-DeRemer and listening to her testimony during her confirmation hearing, I believe that she is qualified to serve as the next secretary of labor, and I look forward to working with her to support New Hampshire’s workers and small businesses,” Hassan added.

Chavez-DeRemer supported the PRO Act as a representative for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District but told senators during her confirmation hearing that she no longer supports overturning Republican-supported right-to-work laws under the PRO Act.

The PRO Act would effectively kill state-level laws that prevent employers and unions from requiring workers to pay union dues as a condition of their employment. Republicans oppose the PRO Act for overturning right-to-work laws.

Chavez-DeRemer went into the committee vote without Paul’s voting plan publicly known. But, going in with Hassan’s support, Chavez-DeRemer was much less likely to be reliant on Paul to be reported favorably out of the committee.

“If she wanted to make a public statement saying that her support for the PRO Act was incorrect and she no longer does, then I’d think about her nomination,” Paul told Fox News Digital in a statement ahead of Chavez-DeRemer’s hearing.

“So you no longer support the aspect of the PRO Act that would have overturned state right-to-work laws?” Paul asked during the hearing.

“Yes, sir,” she replied.

Paul’s office did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on how he would vote in committee, however.

Chavez-DeRemer testified before the HELP Committee on Feb. 19.

Once reported out of committee, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., can file a motion to end Senate floor debate on the nominee, triggering a later cloture vote. Once the debate is closed, senators will cast their final confirmation vote.

During her hearing, Chavez-DeRemer advocated for trade school investments to expand “educational pathways beyond the traditional four-year degree” to strengthen the American workforce. She said she is committed to leveling the playing field for American businesses, workers and unions.

Chavez-DeRemer also thanked Trump and credited him with the “single greatest political achievement of our time” in building a “new coalition of working-class Americans.”

“President Trump has united a new coalition of working-class Americans like never before. With 59.6% of Teamsters backing him, historic support from African-American and Latino voters, and record-breaking turnout in once-solid blue cities and states, Americans are speaking loud and clear. They are calling for action, progress and leadership that puts the American worker first,” Chavez-DeRemer said.

Trump nominated Chavez-DeRemer for secretary of labor less than three weeks after he was elected president.

“Lori has worked tirelessly with both Business and Labor to build America’s workforce, and support the hardworking men and women of America,” Trump wrote.

“I look forward to working with her to create tremendous opportunity for American Workers, to expand training and apprenticeships, to grow wages and improve working conditions, to bring back our manufacturing jobs. Together, we will achieve historic cooperation between Business and Labor that will restore the American Dream for Working Families,” he added.

Removing one food ingredient from your home is first step to ‘doing MAHA,’ influencer says

A supporter of Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) has some strong beliefs about the rise of the movement, the biggest misconceptions about it and how people can easily incorporate some of its most basic principles into their daily routines.

Alex Clark, the Arizona-based founder of the health and wellness podcast “Culture Apothecary,” which launched in Sept. 2024, said she was involved in MAHA early on, even before Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation on Feb. 13, 2025, as President Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services secretary.

“What’s funny is, I guess I was doing MAHA — before it was MAHA — in 2021,” she told Fox News Digital. (See the video at the top of this article.)

EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT MAHA

“I was completely radicalized on pharma and food during the pandemic,” said Clark, who is also a contributor to Turning Point USA.

She said she started to ask questions about pharmaceutical companies — which then led to questions about “big food” and organic food.

Clark is also involving her followers in discussions about MAHA.

“I started talking about it with my audience of really young conservative women, 25 to 35 [years old], [those who are also] graduating [from] college or just starting their families,” she said.

“And none of us really had known any of this.”

MOM AND MAHA SUPPORTER WANTS HEALTHIER WORLD FOR KIDS

Clark said she looks at the original creators of what is now MAHA and said its basic principles are not as new as people may think.

She also said it’s not as politically leaning in one direction or another as some have suggested it is.

“The original MAHA people were actually crunchy, liberal feminist hippies in the ’60s and ’70s,” she said. “That was MAHA. It was never conservatives.”

Clark added, “So this idea that it’s only radical right-wing extremists who care about exercise and organic food and raw milk, that they’re all conservative crazies — that’s absolutely not historically true … It was not your suburban Republican housewife. That’s very new. And a lot of them are my audience on ‘Culture Apothecary.’”

HEALTHY RECIPES A FOCUS FOR SEN. MARSHA BLACKBURN, MAHA SUPPORTER AND HOME COOK

Clark said her audience has shifted over the years – and noted how active so many mothers have been in the MAHA movement.

“They want help. They want change.”

“There’s nobody that’s going to fight harder than a mom who’s dealing with a sick child,” said Clark.

“They will do anything. They are desperate. They want help. They want change.”

Having a MAHA mentality isn’t intimidating, said Clark — and can be as easy as focusing on one ingredient at a time.

“Pick one ingredient that you want to learn about,” she said.

“So, let’s say in the news you’ve heard people talking about artificial food dyes or seed oils — and you don’t know anything about any of this stuff,” she said.

TOP INFLUENCERS IN THE MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN MOVEMENT: SEE THE LIST

“Say [to yourself], ‘OK, I’m going to get to know what this is. I’m going to get to know what it looks like on an ingredient label. I’m going to eliminate everything from my freezer, my fridge, my pantry, that [has] these ingredients.'”

It may take some time — weeks, months or even a year, she said.

But the goal is to feel confident when spotting the singular ingredient a person has chosen to focus on.

Once there’s a full understanding of that item, people can then transition to other items — such as natural flavors or food dyes — and start to eliminate those things from their diets and their family’s diets as well, according to Clark.

“You can always make sure, 100% of the time, that you’re avoiding things like seed oils and artificial dyes,” she said. “Eat real food, whole food, all lowercase letters –

She added, “Whole foods, apples, grass-fed ground beef, chicken breast, eggs, asparagus, green beans and oranges … If you can afford to go the organic route, great. But if you can’t, eating even conventionally farmed ground beef that’s not organic is going to be better than [eating] ultra-processed hot pockets with mystery ingredients that you can’t pronounce.”

“If the American mom can first pick an ingredient to focus on, to learn about — or just focus on eating real foods — that’s the best place to start in cooking meals at home,” she said.

“The biggest price you’re going to have to pay is actually just convenience and time. It is going to take a little bit more time to make that meal at home, but actually it’s going to cost less.”

It is her belief that big food corporations will start to eliminate the very ingredients parents are trying to remove from their homes and from their kids’ public school lunches.

“[California] announced that they’re banning all artificial dyes from their schools, [and] Texas is right on their heels,” she said.

“Texas is working diligently on this.”

“If both California and Texas ban artificial dyes from schools or even statewide and say, ‘These have to be heavily regulated,’ or ‘We’re not having them in our states,’ the different food companies who are making products with these ingredients are going to have to change,” she said.

“You cannot be making [your product] for all [the rest] of the 48 states,” Clark said.

Bondi throws out DEI lawsuits against police, fire departments under Biden admin

The Department of Justice has dismissed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) lawsuits brought against various police and fire departments across the country under the Biden administration, which deemed aptitude tests in certain cases as discriminatory.

The lawsuits, which the DOJ said did not show evidence of intentional discrimination, were filed in efforts to require race-based hiring after statistical disparities between applicants of different races and genders.

“American communities deserve firefighters and police officers to be chosen for their skill and dedication to public safety – not to meet DEI quotas,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said.

GROUP OF DEI WORKERS SUE TO STOP TRUMP EXECUTIVE ORDERS

Typically acknowledged in the proposed consent decrees, the departments used neutral selection tools, such as credit checks, exams and physical exercises, to choose candidates for the open positions, and White men tended to score or perform better.

For example, a case filed in October against the City of Durham (North Carolina), alleged “unintentional” discrimination against Black applicants because they did not pass the written test with a score of 70% or better as often as White candidates did, which resulted in fewer Black employees.

The complaint proposed getting rid of the neutral written test and “back pay and/or preferential hiring to Black candidates who were not hired because of the written exam” as solutions. The cost would have been around $980,000 in monetary relief, according to the case.

OPINION: LAWFARE AND THE DEATH OF DEI AND AFFIRMATIVE ACTION

In a different case filed against Maryland State Police in October 2024, it was suggested that the agency not use its current selection tools, which consisted of a written test with a score of 70% or better and a physical test that involved push-ups, sit-ups, a flexibility reach, a trigger pull and a 1.5-mile run.

“Because Black applicants passed the test less often than White applicants and because women passed the physical test less often than men, the Civil Rights Division concluded that Maryland was illegally discriminating against Black applicants and women,” the case said.

The suggested changes involved ditching the prior selection tools and providing a total of $2.75 million in monetary relief to Black candidates who were not hired because of written test results and women who were not hired because of physical test results.

The DOJ said similar cases were also brought against the cities of South Bend, Indiana, and Cobb County in Georgia.

Cases dismissed on Wednesday marked “an early step toward eradicating illegal DEI preferences across the government and in the private sector,” the DOJ said.

Kate Middleton won’t allow kids to partake in gory centuries-old tradition, expert reveals

Kate Middleton, who is married to the heir to the British throne, isn’t a fan of every royal tradition.

Royal author Tom Quinn has claimed in his new book, “Yes Ma’am – The Secret Life of Royal Servants,” that the Princess of Wales isn’t allowing her three young children to participate in “blooding.”

This longtime ritual calls for members of the royal family to smear blood on their faces from their first kill during fox or stag hunting.

PRINCE WILLIAM STEALS KISS FROM KATE MIDDLETON IN RARE VALENTINE’S DAY PHOTO

Several royal experts told Fox News Digital they weren’t surprised by Quinn’s claim.

“Why would Princess Catherine allow her children to be traumatized by the archaic and barbaric blooding ritual?” said British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard.

“The great outdoors encompasses feel-good nature, life and healing, not a rite of passage and the acceptance of blood sports,” said Chard. “I wouldn’t expect anything less from authentic Princess Catherine. Blooding may be perceived as an aristocratic sport or royal tradition, but blood sports are inhumane and belong to the Dark Ages.”

According to an excerpt published by the UK’s DailyMail, the 43-year-old was adamant that Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, didn’t partake in what was described as an “ancient ritual.”

“[King] Charles’s daughter-in-law, Catherine, Princess of Wales, has put her foot down and insisted there will be no blooding for her children,” Quinn wrote, as quoted by the outlet. “The king himself had gone through the rite as a child, as did his two sons, Princes William and Harry.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich claimed that Kate is greatly respected by both her husband and father-in-law, and they would welcome her more modern approach to parenting.

“Princess Catherine, coming from a middle-class family, wasn’t brought up with the same royal traditions,” Fordwich explained. “To date, she is seen by both Prince William and King Charles III as an excellent mother with great instincts.”

“Prince William also wants to be seen as more current, in step with national trends,” Fordwich shared. “So, he has gone along with her preferences. Their home, unlike the former ways royal children were raised, has no live-in nanny or staff. Princess Catherine wants to have a ‘normal’ childhood for her children, which also includes each being assigned chores.”

In his 2023 book, “Gilded Youth,” Quinn claimed that William also wanted his family to get with the times.

“‘William is struggling with the traditional pastimes of the royal family as they become ever more unpopular with the public,” Quinn wrote, as quoted by the outlet.

“William loves shooting — a love he shares with his father — but he is also conscious that the tide is now moving against what many people now refer to as blood sports (the royals prefer to refer to them as field sports). But are they suitable for George, Charlotte and Louis?”

“Why would Princess Catherine allow her children to be traumatized by the archaic and barbaric blooding ritual? The great outdoors encompasses feel-good nature, life and healing, not a rite of passage and the acceptance of blood sports.”

— Helena Chard, British broadcaster and photographer

Quinn also wrote that while William, 42, was “keen” to get the children into shooting, he also noted that “few” expected Kate to “allow” her children to take part in the blooding tradition.

Kate, who has been described as a lover of the outdoors, displayed her appreciation in a video released in September 2024. At the time, the Princess of Wales announced she was cancer-free.

Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner said Kate’s reported decision was a no-brainer.

“The reality of shooting an animal and then smearing blood on a child’s face may be par for the course as a royal tradition where hunting and countryside sports are engaged enthusiastically,” Pelham Turner explained. “But we live in 2025, not 1725. Thus, the tradition is a brutal waste of an animal’s life.”

“Kate has a battle on her hands stopping practices like this,” he added.

Harry previously detailed his experience in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.” In it, the 40-year-old recalled how his hunting guide, Sandy, pressed his face into the belly wound of a stag he shot during a blooding ritual on the grounds of Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

“He placed a hand gently behind my neck and… pushed my head inside the carcass,” the Duke of Sussex wrote, as quoted by the New York Post.

“I tried to pull away, but Sandy pushed me deeper,” the prince wrote. “I was shocked by his insane strength. And by the infernal smell. My breakfast jumped up from my stomach. After a minute, I couldn’t smell anything, because I couldn’t breathe. My nose and mouth were full of blood, guts and a deep, upsetting warmth.”

Harry wrote that he “felt swelling pride” that he had “been good to that stag” by killing it with a single shot so it wouldn’t feel pain. He said it was a “show of respect for the slain” and “an act of communion by the slayer.”

The outlet noted that the book’s revelations prompted animal rights organization PETA to condemn the father of two for his graphic descriptions.

Chard said that Kate’s modern approach to parenting is something the public will continue to see.

“Princess Catherine has a renewed sense of self and purpose as she gears up to her role as caring queen,” Chard explained. “She has achieved a happy balance, health and service-wise. This involves her children, and the centuries-old blooding doesn’t fall into either category.”

“It’s her mission to remind people to nurture their children,” she shared. “Her early years work is her lifelong passion. She reminds us to focus on well-being, family and to look out for each other.

“She will put her foot down… The Prince and Princess of Wales, paving the way as the modern, relatable face of the monarchy, realized that blooding is nothing to be proud of and should be totally eradicated.”

PRINCESS DIANA ‘HATED’ CHRISTMAS WITH ROYALS AT SANDRINGHAM, WAS ‘MORTIFIED’ BY ONE TRADITION: EXPERT

“The couple’s Royal Foundation carries out good charitable work tackling the illegal wildlife trade, thus it would be hypocritical for the Wales (family) to endorse blood sports,” Chard added.

William and Kate aren’t the only royals who’ve reportedly expressed concerns involving hunting.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, previously reported that Princess Diana wasn’t a fan of game shooting, which has been one of the royal family’s favorite activities for centuries. Seward claimed that the late Princess of Wales didn’t even like her sons being photographed holding guns.

Seward claimed Diana reportedly told William and Harry, “Remember, there’s always someone in a high-rise flat who doesn’t want to see you shoot a Bambi,” as quoted by the UK’s Express.

Still, the boys loved hunting, and Diana used to jokingly call them her “Killer Wales.”

Ken Wharfe, Diana’s former royal protection officer, also claimed that Diana was disgusted by hunting.

MEGHAN MARKLE CHANNELS PRINCESS DIANA IN NEW PHOTO AHEAD OF DELAYED NETFLIX SHOW LAUNCH

“The royal shooting obsession was something Princess Diana found repugnant,” Wharfe said, as quoted by the outlet. “Requiring little or no skill, royal pheasant shoots are a pre-planned carnage of wildlife, bred specifically for slaughter.”

The ‘California sober’ lifestyle embraced by top stars still has risks, experts warn

Demi Lovato, Post Malone, Chris Stapleton, Billy Strings and Willie Nelson have all sung about being “California sober.”

What does that mean — and is it any healthier than drinking alcohol?

You don’t have to be from California to be “California sober,” but experts say you should know the risks associated with the lifestyle.

ALCOHOL-RELATED LIVER TRANSPLANTS ON THE RISE AMONG YOUNG ADULTS, DOCTOR SAYS

It originates with the idea that people transition away from alcohol to a “safer” alternative using cannabis-based products, according to Dr. Cara A. Poland, addiction medicine doctor at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Some who initially identified with the term now have a different take on what sobriety really means.

After a near-fatal drug overdose, singer and actress Demi Lovato openly shared her struggle with addiction and her own version of “California sober” in 2021, but later said she had realized “sober sober is the only way to be,” according to reports.

Users who aim for ‘Cali sober’ need to understand the medical and psychiatric risks of cannabis.”

“Users who aim for ‘Cali sober’ need to understand the medical and psychiatric risks of cannabis, as well as the problem of medicating away emotions and the increased risk of relapse to one’s drug of choice,” Dr. Lori Karan, director of the addiction medicine fellowship at Loma Linda University in California, told Fox News Digital.

What to know about ‘California sober’

Journalist Michelle Lhooq is thought to have coined the phrase when she wrote a 2019 essay about moving from New York to California to “save herself” in an article for Vice.com, resolving to limit her drug use to only marijuana and psychedelics.

As marijuana was already legal in California at the time, she wrote, “I call this ‘Cali sober,’ a term some people also use when they quit everything but weed.”

“‘California sober’ is generally a term used by people who are replacing a ‘more harmful’ substance with a ‘less harmful’ substance,” said Poland.

“People should be cautious with this idea of replacing one substance for another, when both are known to cause substance use disorders and are not validated treatment options.”

ALCOHOL POSES THESE 8 RISKS TO OLDER ADULTS, EXPERTS WARN

People may perceive a substance as less harmful, but the risk of adverse consequences on the body depends on how that substance affects the individual, Poland added.

The concept may also perpetuate the unhealthy relationship people develop with their substance(s) of choice.

“People use addictive substances to modulate how they feel without relying upon interactions with other people or events,” Karan noted.

“Short-circuiting this feedback loop can cover up unresolved trauma, interfere with family and career, and cause emotional arrest.”

Switching one drug for another ignores rather than resolves the underlying issues — so it is usually not a good long-term solution, according to Karan.

Potential risks of alcohol

Previous research has linked alcoholic beverages to at least seven types of cancer, including the mouth, throat, voice box, esophagus, liver, colon and breast.

In 2019 and 2020, 72% of U.S. adults reported consuming one or more drinks per week, but less than half were aware of the link between alcohol and cancer risk, according to past studies.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy recently issued a health advisory calling for warning labels on alcohol-containing beverages about the potential cancer risk, Fox News Digital previously reported.

“There is growing scientific evidence that no amount of alcohol is good for you,” Poland cautioned.

Some say, however, that the current concept of sobriety cannot be a one-size-fits-all model.

While some people need full abstinence, others may find that cutting out alcohol but still partaking in some marijuana use helps them “stay balanced,” according to Kim Gamez, founder of SOBER(ISH), an online marketplace that sells a hemp-derived, micro-dosed blend that can be added to any drink for a “relaxing buzz without alcohol.”

Michigan-based Gamez shared that her mother battled alcoholism for years, where alcohol was the “real demon,” but was able to achieve more balance in her life when she found hemp-derived products.

“Before we discovered hemp-derived beverages together, she often felt left out at social gatherings where drinking was the norm,” she told Fox News Digital. “Now, with a hemp-infused cocktail in hand, she’s part of the party — without the risk, the regret or the relapse.”

Gamez noted that this kind of choice isn’t about replacing one vice with another — it’s about finding a healthier alternative that works for the individual.

Potential risks of marijuana

Karan warned that there is a lot of public misinformation about cannabis, with many unanswered safety questions — especially given the increased potency of today’s cannabis products compared with those of the 1970s.

More research is needed to fully understand the extent of this activity, Karan noted.

“Cannabis can cause memory difficulties, paranoia, psychosis, nausea and vomiting, and a myriad of other problems,” she cautioned.

Experts encourage people struggling with addiction, including alcohol use disorder, to first consult with their doctor for treatment options.

This often includes a combination of behavioral therapy and medications to reduce the risk of overdose, relapse and cravings.
