New detail about former US Attorney Jessica Aber’s death revealed by family friend

The former United States attorney who was found dead over the weekend had suffered from a “longstanding medical issue,” Fox News has learned.

The body of Jessica D. Aber, 43, was discovered at an Alexandria, Virginia, residence on Saturday. Authorities did not release details about her death, but a family friend told Fox News on Sunday that the decedent suffered from a chronic medical condition.

“Police believe the death was the result of a longstanding medical issue,” the source said.

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) wrote on Saturday that it had received a call about an “unresponsive woman” at around 9:18 a.m. that morning.

DOJ INSISTS EL SALVADOR DEPORTATION FLIGHTS DID NOT VIOLATE COURT ORDER

“As a matter of protocol, an investigation is underway surrounding the circumstances of her death,” the APD’s statement read. “The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia will determine the cause and manner of death.”

Aber worked as the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2021 to 2025, having been appointed by former President Joe Biden. She stepped down from her position on Jan. 20, the same day that President Donald Trump took office, and called her role “an honor beyond measure” in her resignation letter.

IMPEACHMENT ARTICLES HIT JUDGE WHO ORDERED TRUMP TO STOP DEPORTATION FLIGHTS

“I am deeply grateful to senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine and to President Biden for the opportunity to lead this office and to Attorney General Garland for his steadfast leadership,” the attorney wrote. “I am proud of the work we have done with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners to enforce the law and build community trust.”

In a statement posted on X Saturday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi expressed her condolences over Aber’s death.

“The loss of Jessica Aber, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, is deeply tragic,” Bondi wrote. “Our hearts and prayers go out to her family and friends during this profoundly difficult time.”

Trump gives one piece of advice to Harris as rumors swirl over potential run for governor

President Donald Trump offered up some advice for former Vice President Kamala Harris if she decides to make a run for governor of California.

“One thing she’s gotta do, she’s gotta start doing interviews,” Trump said during an interview with OutKick’s Clay Travis aboard Air Force One. “You can’t get away with both of them, during COVID he did no interviews, and he got away with it because of COVID,” Trump added, referencing former President Joe Biden.

The comments come as Harris is seriously considering a run for Governor. She is expected to make a decision by the end of the summer.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who many consider to be a presidential contender in 2028, is term limited from running again in 2026, opening the door to what is expected to be a large field of potential Democratic candidates to seek the highest office in the dependably progressive state.

TRUMP SAYS KEEPING MALES OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS IS ’90-10 ISSUE’

One former Harris advisor told CBS News that the former vice president would be a “great” fit for the job, noting her experience at both the national and state level.

“On a national level, what Newsom has been able to do with that job, there is a lot of upside with what she can do as the governor of the fifth-largest economy with her name ID, when our party is looking for national leadership and California looking for good governance – especially at a time when California is going through a lot,” the former advisor said.

But Harris also faces questions over how she handled her bid for president, which included accusations that she consistently shied away from doing interviews.

KAMALA HARRIS REVEALS TIMETABLE FOR MAKING MAJOR POLITICAL DECISION IN DEEP BLUE STATE

After Biden dropped out of the race and immediately endorsed Harris, the vice president went 39 days without sitting down for an interview before appearing in one with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, on Aug. 29.

As accusations continued to fly that Harris was dodging interviews, she picked up the pace of her appearances with both national and local outlets, but then faced accusations of dodging difficult questions.

Perhaps most damning was a reported potential interview with influential podcaster Joe Rogan that fell through, with Rogan suggesting that the Harris team put conditions on questions the host could ask the candidate.

Trump famously did appear on Rogan’s podcast, an interview that eventually led to the podcaster endorsing Trump’s bid for the White House.

Noem to step foot in notorious prison where US sent illegal gangsters

FIRST ON FOX: Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is planning to visit several spots in Central America next week – including El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center, where hundreds of migrant criminals were famously deported last week.

On Sunday, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that Noem’s trip “underscores the importance of our partner countries to help remove violent criminal illegal aliens from the United States.”

“President Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message for criminal aliens considering entering America illegally: don’t even think about it,” McLaughlin said. “If you come to our country and break our laws, we will hunt you down, and lock you up.”

Noem’s visit will kick off with a stop at the Terrorist Confinement Center on Mar. 26, which she will tour with the Salvadoran Minister of Justice, Héctor Gustavo Villatoro. The Trump administration official will meet with President Nayib Bukele later that day.

EL SALVADOR PRESIDENT RIPS FBI TRUMP RAID, QUESTIONS WHAT US GOV’T WOULD SAY IF HIS POLICE TARGETED CANDIDATES

On Mar. 27, Noem plans to visit Colombia to meet with President Gustavo Petro and the Colombian National Police (CNP)’s specialized group aimed at countering organized crime. The former South Dakota governor will wrap up her trip in Mexico on Mar. 28, where she’ll convene with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

The visit will come over a week after El Salvador released gritty footage of hundreds of illegal aliens being deported and rounded up into jail cells last weekend. The video showed the alleged gang members with their heads in their hands, as heavily-armed Salvadoran authorities surrounded them and transported them into facilities one by one.

A senior Trump administration official confirmed to Fox News that a total of 261 illegal aliens were deported to El Salvador on Mar. 15. The majority of them were deported via the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which allows for the expulsion of an enemy nation’s natives and citizens without a hearing.

101 of the migrants were Venezuelans removed via Title 8, while 21 others were Salvadoran MS-13 gang members, the official added. Two were MS-13 ringleaders and “special cases” for El Salvador.

RUBIO HEADS TO PANAMA, LATIN AMERICA TO PURSUE TRUMP’S ‘GOLDEN AGE’ AGENDA

The rap sheets for those removed included aggravated assault, robbery, kidnapping, sexual abuse of a child, prostitution, and aggravated assault of a police officer.

Bukele, a Trump ally, wrote that the deportation flights will help Salvadoran authorities “help us finalize intelligence gathering and go after the last remnants of MS-13, including its former and new members, money, weapons, drugs, hideouts, collaborators, and sponsors.”

“As always, we continue advancing in the fight against organized crime,” he added. “But this time, we are also helping our allies, making our prison system self-sustainable, and obtaining vital intelligence to make our country an even safer place. All in a single action. May God bless El Salvador, and may God bless the United States.”

In a Mar. 16 post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote that the U.S. “will not forget” Bukele’s partnership, and thanked the leader for his “understanding of this horrible situation, which was allowed to happen to the United States because of incompetent Democrat leadership.”

Tiger Woods confirmed his relationship status on Sunday in a social media post.

He’s clearly taken.

Woods announced his relationship with Vanessa Trump on X and Instagram and shared some photos of the two together cozying next to each other. Trump is President Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law. She was married to Donald Trump Jr. until 2018.

“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.,” Woods wrote in his post.

A source told The Daily Mail earlier this month the two had been dating for at least a year.

Woods’ son, Charlie, and Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, are both competitive golfers. Kai has committed to play at the University of Miami, while Charlie has played alongside his father at tournaments. Charlie has also played at the U.S. Open qualifiers, and both Charlie and Kai played at the same tournament last month.

Woods was photographed with Kai at the Genesis Invitational. Vanessa and Kai also took in a TGL match last month, which was created by Woods and Rory McIlroy.

After his highly publicized divorce from Elin Nordegren, Woods was linked to Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in the 2010s. He was dating Erica Herman at the time he won the Masters in 2019, but they, too, had a very public breakup that included sexual harassment allegations and an NDA lawsuit filed by Herman.

Woods and Nordegren have appeared to be amicable in recent years as they co-parent Charlie and Sam Woods.

Woods announced earlier this week he had undergone surgery for a ruptured Achilles sustained while training at home, putting his entire 2025 golf season in jeopardy.

Bernie Sanders doesn’t like topic — calls it ‘nonsense’ and bolts

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., got up during a pre-taped ABC “This Week” interview that aired Sunday, and accused Jonathan Karl of asking a “nonsense” question about whether Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., should run for Senate.

Right after calling Ocasio-Cortez “extraordinary,” Sanders would not answer a question about whether he would like to see her in the Senate. Speculation has ramped up about AOC challenging Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in a primary after Schumer supported a government funding bill to avoid a partial shutdown.

“Right now, we have, as I said, just a whole lot of people in the Congress. OK, Jonathan. Thanks,” Sanders said as he got up from his seat.

Karl told the senator that he had one more question for him.

“Well, I ask you – you know, you want to do nonsense, do nonsense. No, I don’t want to talk about inside the Beltway stuff. I got 32,000 people,” Sanders said, referencing the crowd that gathered Friday in Denver for an event with AOC.

Karl convinced Sanders to come back and sit down.

“Well, fine. But I don’t want to talk about this. What was the last question?” Sanders asked.

Karl then asked about Sanders’ future in politics.

“Right now, I am very proud that the people of the state of Vermont sent me back to the Senate with 63% of the vote,” Sander said. “Right now I’m Vermont’s senator. That’s what I do, and I’m very happy to do it. I am 83 years of age, so. And I’m tired.”

Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., spoke on CNN’s “State of the Union” whether he would encourage Ocasio-Cortez to challenge Schumer.

“She’s perfectly capable of making the decision,” he said. “She’s got so many options. She’s got an incredible future. You know, it’s really her decision. But, you know, all I can say is there’s real anger. And there would be a lot of support for her if she decided to do it.”

Sorority girl who stole hearts with viral mugshot arrested again for second time in weeks

The University of Georgia sorority girl, who was nicknamed “Miss America,” after her smiling mugshot went viral, was arrested again for the second time in weeks.

Lily Stewart, a sophomore Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Georgia, was arrested for the second time this month after her first arrest at the beginning of March for excessive speeding.

According to Athens-Clarke County online records, Stewart, 20, was arrested on Sunday, March 23, for obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling.

Stewart has since posted her $4,600 bond and was released from police custody shortly before 11 a.m.

GEORGIA SORORITY GIRL’S ‘SMILING’ MUGSHOT GOES VIRAL: ‘LOCKED UP MISS AMERICA’

Fox News Digital reached out to UGA for details about her latest arrest, but did not immediately receive a response.

An attorney representing Stewart, Stephen Morris, said they had no comment on her latest arrest.

Stewart first made headlines on March 8 after images of her mugshot surfaced when she was pulled over twice in a matter of minutes for speeding “in excess of maximum limits,” the Georgia State Police shared in a previous police report with Fox News Digital. An officer pulled Stewart over for going 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to the report.

Stewart was issued a citation, and approximately two minutes later, she was pulled over again in her 2021 Volvo XC40, going at an even faster rate of speed, clocking in at 84 mph in the 55 mph zone.

She told PEOPLE in a previous interview that she was on her way to a party in Milledgeville, Ga. that a fraternity was throwing at Georgia College & State University when she was pulled over.

However, it was her smiling mugshot that attracted attention across the internet.

Stewart even took to TikTok to address her arrest and shared some of the most “unhinged” comments in her video.

“The only crime here is stealing my heart,” one person commented.

“idc what she did, she’s innocent,” another person wrote.

“I don’t know what she did but free her,” another comment read.

Several people even offered to pay her bail.

Stewart told the outlet that she has gained thousands of new social media followers from her viral mugshot.

“I look like a basic white girl, and I am,” Stewart said, adding, “I think it’s hilarious. One of them was like, ‘We know she has a monogram rain jacket’ — which I do.”

“There are some beautiful mug shots. I don’t think mine’s particularly stunning,” Stewart explained. “I actually think it’s a bad photo of me. If you see me in person, I don’t really look the same as I do in that mug shot. I don’t think it’s a great photo of me.”

Following her first arrest, Stewart interviewed with TMZ and described the entire ordeal to the outlet, claiming being booked into jail was “the craziest experience she had ever seen.”

“I paid my bond, got my mugshot, and another officer drove me to the tow yard where they took my car. It was definitely an experience and never experienced anything like that, hopefully never again.”

‘Pawn Stars’ boss opens up about why Trump called him to apologize

Rick Harrison and President Donald Trump have a special bond.

The “Pawn Stars” personality admitted in an interview on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” that he once received an apology from President Trump after a backstage mishap with Secret Service.

Harrison, a longtime conservative, also suggested politics may be in his near future after years of denying any political ambition.

‘PAWN STARS’ BOSS RICK HARRISON QUESTIONS IF HE COULD HAVE SAVED SON FROM FENTANYL OVERDOSE

The television star remembered a time when President Trump called to say he was “sorry” after Harrison wasn’t allowed backstage at a rally.

“So this is kind of crazy,” he told Bensinger. “So this is in 2018, he’s having a rally here in town for … someone running for Congress and Senate. And they wanted me to announce him at the rally. So I show up with my son Jake and my daughter Serena, White House staff goes, ‘Hey Rick, how’s it going? Come on, come this way.’”

‘PAWN STARS’ PERSONALITY RICK HARRISON SAYS SON ADAM DIED FROM FENTANYL OVERDOSE, BLAMES BORDER CRISIS

Just as quickly as they made their way back, the family was denied entrance to the event.

“We go to backstage and Secret Service goes, ‘He’s not on the list,'” Harrison remembered. “And they’re going like, ‘But it’s Rick Harrison.’ And his friend’s like, ‘Not on the list. Doesn’t matter.’ And I’m literally trying to call a U.S. senator, some other people, some congressman. I can’t get a hold of anybody.

“Secret Service throws me into the public and I am getting mobbed. And we had to leave. We could not stay there. And I’m f—-ng pissed.”

Not only was Harrison slightly embarrassed, he was upset to disappoint his son, who was excited to tell his friends he was meeting the president.

“So I get a block from the house and then Senator Heller’s number pops up in my truck, and I’m like, Senator Heller knows I have no filter,” Harrison said. “So the first words out of his mouth, he’s like, ‘Rick, before you say a word, the President of the United States would like to talk to you.’”

Harrison added, “And the first words out of Trump’s mouth were, ‘Rick, I am really sorry. This is all my fault, because my White House staff, they work for me. They screwed up. That makes it my fault. I’m sorry. They should have informed the Secret Service. So, I’m sorry, will you please come back down to the convention center? We’ll try and make this happen.’

“And you’re not going to tell the president of the United States ‘no,’ right?,” Harrison said.

“The first words out of Trump’s mouth were, ‘Rick, I am really sorry. This is all my fault, because my White House staff, they work for me. They screwed up. That makes it my fault. I’m sorry.”

The longtime TV star has thwarted political ambitions, but admitted he might be ready for a new gig.

“Give it a few years. I might,” he said when asked about running for governor. “I know I can’t completely change the world, but I would like to leave it in a better place. Just changed a little bit, to make it a little bit better.

Harrison previously praised President Trump after the pair met following the loss of Harrison’s son, Adam, who died of a fentanyl overdose in 2024.

The reality star both praised Trump and blasted politicians during the previous administration for being “complicit” in fentanyl deaths.

“He’s an incredible individual,” Harrison said of Trump, 77. “He wants to do something about this. There’s so many different places you have to start at, all at once, but one of the major ones is get the damn stuff out of the country and stop making it so cheap to get high.”

Harrison guessed that “anybody” could afford a fentanyl pill due to the easily accessible market, but suggested, “Let’s start arresting the people selling it, arresting the people bringing it over the border, close down the border, make it really expensive. Let’s make a fentanyl death rare.”

He added, “It’s insane because they’re letting it happen. They’re literally letting it happen. They’re not doing anything about it. So they’re complicit in all these deaths.”

Harrison told Fox News Digital that he found the current border policy “absolutely ridiculous” and blamed politicians for what he described as their inaction to prevent drugs from entering the country.

“Nothing is getting done about it,” Harrison said. “It’s the equivalent of a 737 [airplane] loaded with passengers crashing every single day. That’s how many people die from it. And, you know, the politicians don’t want to talk about it. The news doesn’t want to talk about it.”

“A big part of is politics. I mean, we know where it’s all coming from. It’s all coming right across the border, and they won’t do anything about it. I mean, they’re doing nothing.”

On Jan. 19, 2024, Adam was found dead at a guesthouse in the Las Vegas area, according to an incident report obtained by the New York Post. Adam was living in the guesthouse for two weeks before his death, per the report.

UConn basketball coach gives explicit warning to Baylor about refs after loss

Dan Hurley was far from thrilled with the officiating in the 77-75 UConn loss to Florida in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, to the point where he warned Baylor, a team in a similar situation facing a No. 1 seed.

Hurley’s Huskies had their three-peat chances ended on Sunday afternoon after falling just short to the Gators, the No. 1 seed in the West Region of the March Madness bracket.

Instead, they walked off the court disappointed, and Hurley didn’t mince his words for the Baylor Bears waiting to take on the Duke Blue Devils, another No. 1 seed.

“Hope they don’t f— you like they f—ed us. I hope they don’t do that to you, Baylor,” Hurley was heard yelling in the tunnel.

Hurley’s intensity and blunt nature is one of his calling cards, and he never comes without an explanation.

WARNING: Explicit language in the video below

He spoke with reporters after the tough loss about the officiating, specifically a no-call against one of his players, Alex Karaban, after a Gators player made clear contact with him on shot attempt late in the game.

At the time, UConn was up, 61-59, with just over three minutes to play.

“Part of (the emotion) is probably just the season, how tumultuous the season has been,” Hurley began, via USA Today. “The team battled and fought just to qualify for the tournament, and then how the game played out, up three at the last media (timeout) we have two free throw rebound mistakes.

“With past teams, we’ve had issues like that occur but those games we were up 15-18 so they weren’t so magnified. And obviously, the Karaban drive on the baseline, you know, there was a lot of contact there and we were up one I think at that point or two potentially. I thought that was a big play, too.”

Looking in the box score, Florida was called for fewer fouls than UConn (17 to 24), though they had trouble at the free throw line, making just 22 of 34 shots. The Huskies missed three of their 22 attempts.

“I think when we go back and watch this film on the flight back today, I think it’s going to be crushing looking at those free throw rebound plays again, looking at the Karaban finish on the baseline with a no call on that,” Hurley admitted.

As a No. 1 seed, Florida is one of the favorites to make a national championship run, though there was always a chance they’d have to go through UConn who, like Hurley mentioned, fought to get into the tournament after an up-and-down campaign.

The back-to-back title winners almost pulled off the upset, but they will head back to Storr, Connecticut, hoping to regroup for another potential run during the 2025-26 season.
