Trump wants ‘distorted’ portrait of himself removed from state’s capitol building
President Donald Trump demanded Sunday night that Colorado Gov. Jarid Polis remove the “distorted” portrait of him from the Colorado State Capitol Building.
“Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado, in the State Capitol Building, put up by the Governor, along with all other Presidents, was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before,” the 47th president wrote on Truth Social. “The artist also did President Obama, and he looks wonderful, but the one on me is truly the worst.”
Trump said that he is requesting the portrait’s removal on behalf of angry Coloradans who have complained about it.

“In any event, I would much prefer not having a picture than having this one, but many people from Colorado have called and written to complain,” he wrote. “In fact, they are actually angry about it!”
In separate posts, Trump then circulated his official White House portraits from both his first and second presidential terms.
The portrait was first unveiled in 2019, according to Colorado Public Radio, and Sarah A. Boardman is the artist behind the portrait.
“My portrait of President Trump has been called thoughtful, non-confrontational, not angry, not happy, not tweeting,” she said at the unveiling. “In five, 10, 15, 20 years, he will be another president on the wall who is only historical background and he needs to look neutral.”

The president then went on to attack Polis for his crime policies.
“I am speaking on their behalf to the Radical Left Governor, Jared Polis, who is extremely weak on Crime, in particular with respect to Tren de Aragua, which practically took over Aurora (Don’t worry, we saved it!), to take it down,” Trump wrote. “Jared should be ashamed of himself!”

During his campaign, Trump took advantage of a viral video in which Tren de Aragua members could be seen kicking in doors in an apartment complex in Aurora, Colo., while Polis downplayed the takeover.
One of the gang members in the video was arrested shortly after Trump’s inauguration.
Bondi issues clear warning to firebrand Democrat who called for Musk to be ‘taken down’
Attorney General Pam Bondi warned Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, to “tread very carefully,” days after the Democrat got attention from Trump allies for suggesting Elon Musk should be “taken down.”
“She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country,” Bondi vowed on this week’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
She reiterated her previous pledge that widespread violence against Tesla owners and dealerships — which have seen electric vehicles engulfed in flames and defaced with hostile imagery — will “come to a stop.”

Crockett’s under-fire remarks came during a nationwide call with the Tesla Takedown movement, a self-described “peaceful protest platform” calling for Tesla owners to sell their vehicles and for all to dump their stock in the EV provider.
“On March 29, it’s my birthday,” Crockett told the group in reference to an upcoming “Global Day of Action” intended to hit back at the company.
“All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down,” she added. “I have learned, as I serve on the DOGE Oversight committee, that there is only one language that the people that are in charge understand right now, and that language is money.”
TIM WALZ SAYS HE WAS JOKING WHEN HE MOCKED TESLA’S FALLING STOCK: ‘THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR’
Crockett went on to clarify that her calls to action are “nonviolent” and are about figuratively “fighting” for democracy.
“We know that we are peaceful, loving people, and this is not about violence,” she added in part.
Republicans, on the other hand, have accused Crockett of inciting violence against the EV provider with her rhetoric.

Amid the Justice Department’s crackdown on the violence, three people accused of damaging Teslas and EV charging stations now face up to 20 years in prison for alleged “domestic terrorism.”
“People need to know that the three people in custody right now… will receive severe and swift consequences… We are not coming off these charges. We are looking at everything, especially if this is a concerted effort. This is domestic terrorism,” Bondi said.
Europe issues urgent travel warning about having to follow biology in the US
Several European countries have updated their travel advisories for transgender travelers seeking to enter the U.S. amid President Donald Trump’s “two-sexes” executive order and the administration’s immigration crackdown.
Finland, Denmark, the U.K. and Germany are all urging cautionary planning for transgender people when traveling to the U.S.
“When applying for an ESTA or visa to the United States, there are two gender designations to choose from: male or female,” the Danish travel advisory said on its website.
JUDICIAL HALT OF DEPORTATION FLIGHTS PUTS US FOREIGN POLICY AT RISK, CAREER STATE DEPT OFFICIAL CLAIMS
The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is the system that screens passengers before they travel to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program.
“If you have the gender designation X in your passport, or you have changed your gender, it is recommended that you contact the U.S. Embassy prior to travel for guidance on how to proceed,” the website reads.
Finland also updated its website in recent weeks.
“If the gender listed on the applicant’s passport does not match the gender assigned at birth, the US authorities may deny the application for a travel permit or visa,” Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its website.
HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED DURING TRUMP’S NINTH WEEK IN OFFICE
The new advisory does not explicitly mention the Trump administration, but it comes as the U.S. State Department aligned its policies with President Trump’s goals of only having “male” or “female” on American passports.
According to an advisory on its website, Germany issued a warning for transgender travelers to exercise caution when traveling to some countries, but it did not explicitly state the U.S. or mention President Trump.
“For example, transgender travelers may encounter difficulties entering certain countries if they present a passport with a name and photo that no longer corresponds to their gender identity,” their information for LGBTQ travelers states.
JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TELLS FEDERAL JUDGE IT MIGHT INVOKE STATE SECRETS ACT ON HIGH-PROFILE DEPORTATION CASE
So far, seven transgender Americans have sued the Trump administration over the policy, which the American Civil Liberties Union filed on their behalf in February.
Trump signed the executive order titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” in one of his first actions in January. It reiterates that the administration recognizes there are only two sexes, male and female, defined strictly by biological characteristics determined at conception. It mandates that federal agencies enforce this binary understanding of sex across the federal government, including in healthcare, education and military service.

Trump has also faced judicial pushback for his nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration as he carries out his mass deportation program targeting anyone living in the country unauthorized.

Sheriff accused of gunning down magistrate in his chambers reveals his defense
The attorney for former Letcher County, Kentucky Sheriff Shawn “Mickey” Stines is planning to argue that his client is not culpable for the murder of District Judge Kevin Mullins by way of insanity, court records show.
Stines, 43, “intends to present expert evidence relating to a mental disease or defect or mental condition bearing on the issue of guilt and punishment,” according to a filing by attorney Jeremy Bartley.
The filing also says that Stines “intends to present a defense of insanity, as well as a defense of extreme emotional disturbance.”
KENTUCKY SHERIFF CHARGED IN JUDGE’S MURDER DID NOT PLAN KILLING, CAUGHT IN ‘HEAT OF PASSION’: LAWYER
Stines allegedly gunned down Mullins, 54, in Mullins’ chambers on Sept. 19. The shooting was caught on video and shows Mullins attempting to take cover behind his desk as Stines calmly opens fire.
Stines has been indicted on one count of murder of a public official. He pleaded not guilty in November.
The men were reportedly friends for two decades before Mullins’ death.
The motive for the alleged crime remains unclear.
Stines had been deposed in a civil lawsuit related to sexual abuse in the same month as the shooting, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.
KENTUCKY SHERIFF CHARGED WITH FATALLY SHOOTING JUDGE DEPOSED IN RAPE-RELATED CASE DAYS EARLIER
Former Letcher County deputy Ben Fields was convicted in 2021 of repeatedly sexually assaulting a woman in the same chambers where the shooting happened. The woman was on house arrest at the time, and a court concluded that Fields forced the sexual favors in exchange for keeping the woman out of jail.
Stines was accused in the suit of “deliberate indifference in failing to adequately train and supervise” Fields.
The civil litigation is pending.
Further, the Kentucky State Police confirmed for the Daily Mail that it is investigating a different sex scandal, and that before the shooting, Stines and Mullins looked at each other’s cell phones.
During a preliminary hearing in October, it was revealed that inside the judge’s chambers, Stines made calls from his phone and Mullins’ phone. Kentucky State Police Detective Clayton Stamper testified that the calls were to Stines’ daughter, FOX 56 reported.

Think your DNA is safe? The ancestry test warning spreading fast
Genetic testing company 23andMe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to help the $50 million company sell itself, the company announced Sunday.
23andMe’s saliva-based kits have been helping customers learn about their ancestry since 2006, and the company said it will continue operating while the bankruptcy court facilitates the sale process.
News of the move raised concerns about how the personal data of millions of 23andMe customers will be handled.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a “consumer alert” regarding the “trove of sensitive consumer data 23andMe has amassed,” reminding Californians that they have the right to direct the company to delete their genetic data, destroy their test samples and revoke permission for genetic data to be used for research.
“There are no changes to the way the Company stores, manages, or protects customer data,” 23andMe said in a media release.
THIS IS WHAT NO ONE PLANNED COULD HAPPEN AFTER TAKING A DNA TEST
The company has experienced tumult in recent years. Last November, 23andMe said that it was cutting its headcount by 40%, or more than 200 employees.
Co-founder and CEO Anne Wojcicki has resigned after multiple failed takeover bids, Reuters reports, but she said on X that she did it “so I can be in the best position to pursue the company as an independent bidder.”
23ANDME CUTS 40% OF ITS WORKFORCE
Wojcicki will be replaced by CFO Joe Selsavage on an interim basis.
23andMe said it secured a debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing commitment for about $35 million and expects to continue operating during the sale process. It did not say if it had any other buyout interest or offers.

It listed both assets and estimated liabilities of $100 million to $500 million.
A month before its restructuring, 23andMe agreed to pay $30 million and give three years of security monitoring to settle a lawsuit accusing it of failing to protect the privacy of 6.9 million customers whose personal information was exposed in a data breach in 2023.
“We want to thank our employees for their dedication to 23andMe’s mission,” Mark Jensen, Chair and member of the Special Committee of the Board of Directors, said in a statement. “We are committed to supporting them as we move through the process.”

“In addition, we are committed to continuing to safeguard customer data and being transparent about the management of user data going forward, and data privacy will be an important consideration in any potential transaction,” he said.
Critical health warning for anyone stepping foot in an office building
A study about office microwaves may have some people rethinking the leftover food they eat for lunch.
Researchers examined the differences in bacteria present in domestic spaces such as a home; in shared-domestic spaces such as an office; and in laboratories.
The study, conducted by researchers in Valencia, Spain, and published in Frontiers in Microbiology, discovered over 100 species of bacteria exist within these spaces – with most of the bacteria being the types found on human skin.
AFTER HEALTH CRISIS, MOTHER LEARNS HOW TO COOK AND EAT ‘A LITTLE LESS TOXIC’ IN THE KITCHEN
Some of these bacteria can cause foodborne illnesses.
Fox News Digital spoke with Christine Schindler, the New York City-based CEO and co-founder of PathSpot, a health and safety operating system for restaurants and businesses that prepare and serve food, about the difference between at-home and in-office appliances.
“The setting of a microwave fundamentally changes its contamination profile,” she told Fox News Digital.
“People rush through lunch breaks, sometimes skipping proper hand hygiene, touching communal surfaces like refrigerator handles before accessing the microwave,” she added.
AMERICANS SHOULD EAT MORE OF THESE INVASIVE ANIMALS, SAY EXPERTS
In shared environments like this, microwaves can become bacterial transfer points, she said.
These different bacteria can come from human skin, food splatter and moisture build-up.
Microwaves can become bacterial transfer points.
The presence of bacteria can cause stomach problems such as nausea and vomiting – and the risk increases through the “food-handling sequence,” according to Schindler.
“Bacterial risk isn’t just about what grows in the microwave – it’s about how bacteria move between hands, surfaces and food in a continuous cycle,” Schindler said.
Something else the researchers sought to understand is whether microwave radiation has a sterilizing effect on food or if exposure to a wide variety of food and humans had more impact on cleanliness.
“Microwaves kill bacteria in food through heat, not the actual microwaves themselves,” Schindler clarified.
“However, this heating doesn’t clean the microwave itself or address the bacteria on handles and buttons from unwashed hands,” she said.
KEEP YOUR KITCHEN BACTERIA-FREE WITH THESE FOOD SAFETY TIPS FOR HOME COOKS
“This creates a shared responsibility in food safety – you need both properly cooked food and clean microwave surfaces to break the contamination cycle.”
The researchers said that what they found “suggests the importance of regular cleaning practices to mitigate potential health risks, as frequent and adequate cleaning with appropriate disinfectants helps to prevent the presence of pathogens associated with these domestic environments.”
At home, you’re typically dealing with a known group of users and established cleaning routines, something Schindler said makes the difference in maintaining a hygienic environment.

“Office break rooms create more opportunities for bacterial spread,” she said. “More users means more hand-to-surface contamination, often less personal accountability for cleaning and greater diversity of foods being heated.”
There are some simple ways to keep microwaves clean, even in the office.
Schindler said to wipe down these high-touch areas regularly with food-safe disinfectants, especially in shared kitchens where many people use the same appliance.

For those with more time to spare, she said, heating a bowl of water with lemon juice can loosen up any gunk inside the microwave, making removal easier.
Police crash the party as bikini-clad spring breakers get rude awakening
Florida police on Friday dispersed a “large, non-permitted spring break gathering” on Sunny Isles Beach, a vacation destination north of Miami and south of Fort Lauderdale.
The Sunny Isles Police Department said it broke up the gathering at 174 Street “swiftly and efficiently” with help from neighboring agencies.
“The gathering was successfully dispersed, and officers remained on the scene to ensure safety and order,” the police department said in a press release.
Authorities added that the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike are the police department’s top priority, and “non-permitted gatherings and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.”

Flight passenger slams ‘sneaky’ travelers who ‘aren’t fooling anyone’
Airline passengers have been calling out fellow flyers for vaping mid-flight or vaping inside an airport prior to departure.
“Hearing the announcement and then hitting your vape again is mind-boggling, and shows zero situational awareness,” one Reddit user wrote in a post. The person added, “You aren’t fooling [anyone] and you’re a joke that deserves consequences.”
Last year, a flyer shared a video that caught a vaping rule-breaker in the act before boarding a plane.
FLIGHT PASSENGER SAYS ‘ENTITLED’ SEAT SWAPPERS SHOULD PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTHS ARE
The video showed flight passengers with their carry-on luggage lining up to board the plane, while passing by the gate agent.
One of the passengers is seen using a vape with clouds of smoke surrounding him.
Reddit users shared comments about the moment.
“Gotta hold it in so the smoke don’t come out,” commented one Reddit user.
Another user joked, “How long was the flight? Dude had to get his last hit of nicotine.”
PILOT ALLEGEDLY CALLS OUT VAPING PASSENGER IN CABIN-WIDE ANNOUNCEMENT: ‘ONE PERSON DECIDED TO RISK LIVES’
“That’s boooooold,” commented another.
“As a crew member, if I saw him doing that before stepping on I’d have a good chuckle and just confirm that he’s aware [he should] not touch it once on the aircraft,” said one user.
“Bring back a smoking area past TSA in airports,” commented one person.
Another added, “Vape pens have made people think that they’re above the law.”
“You know he’s hitting it in the lavatory,” said yet another user.
FLIGHT PASSENGER’S ‘BAR BUDDY’ CALLED OUT FOR SEAT SQUATTING
Someone else chimed in, “Just be a frequent user of the bathroom vape.”
Some airports do have designated smoking areas for travelers.
At John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City, the rules state, “Smoking is prohibited in Terminal 4 and aeronautical Operations Areas … [and] in designated areas immediately outside [the] Terminal.”
The Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada also has designated smoking areas in the airport.
Smoking is permitted in Barney’s Lounge, the Bud 29 Track Lounge and some enclosed gaming lounges.
Miami International Airport permits smoking “inside Concourse D at the TGI Friday’s smoking lounge,” according to its site.
Other users on Reddit discussed vaping aboard planes.
“I’ve vaped in plane toilets before,” admitted one person.
One person said, “That guy is [gonna] vape on the plane. Bet my house on it.”
Recently, a pilot called out a vaping passenger while in the air in a cabin-wide announcement, according to a Reddit user’s post.
“At the end of the flight, the pilot goes: There are 189 of you on this flight. While we make our final descent, please know we are going to be safe and sound, but that could have changed because one person decided to risk the lives of the other 188,” the user claimed.

Gary Leff, a Texas-based travel industry expert and author of the blog “View From the Wing,” told Fox News Digital there’s a stigma against vaping.
“Other passengers might think vapers are smoking a cigarette even though they aren’t,” said Leff.
He added, “You can’t smoke on a plane. You can’t vape, either. The FAA has interpreted the prohibition on cigarette smoking to include vaping products, even though they’re quite different.”

“It’s not about banning vapor. The regulation simply extends the ban on cigarettes to include e-cigarettes, which weren’t contemplated when the law against on-board smoking was passed,” said Leff.
