Tesla owner sues man who allegedly vandalized his vehicle in parking lot for $1 million
A Dallas man whose Tesla Model X was vandalized in the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport parking lot is suing the vandal for more than $1 million.
The suspect, Rafael Hernandez, was arrested March 22 on a criminal mischief charge by the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office after he was recorded by the Tesla’s built-in cameras striking the left side of the electric-powered vehicle.
The victim, who is choosing to remain anonymous, was traveling when his Tesla was damaged in the airport parking lot. In the footage obtained by Fox, Hernandez can be seen pulling an object out of his pocket and forcing it into the side of the Model X.
The Tesla owner told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview that the “motives were wrong, and [Hernandez’s] acts were intentional — it is for a judge and jury to decide, based on the facts, what his punishment should be. I believe strongly that I was targeted because my car is a Tesla. I didn’t even realize that this nationwide Tesla attack was even a thing — until I was thrown into that world. What’s important to me is that it happened, it was intentional, and it was wrong. As a result, I’ve been thrown into a nightmare, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.”

The lawsuit filed by the victim outlines “Individual owners of Tesla vehicles, like Plaintiff, are being targeted and victimized by ongoing criminal conduct and action. This has culminated in the ‘Tesla Takedown’ movement, where certain activists are urging consumers to divest from Tesla products and are organizing protests and other activities that are explicitly or implicitly urging physical damage and/or violence against Tesla owners and/or their Tesla vehicles. Plaintiff recently became a target and victim of this criminal conduct and action.”
One outspoken voice of the “Tesla Takedown” movement, Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, told attendees at a virtual rally earlier this month that the Department of Government Efficiency head and Tesla founder Elon Musk must be “taken down.”

On Saturday, demonstrators gathered at more than 500 Tesla locations worldwide in a “Global Day of Action” to protest the Musk-founded car company.
In an interview, Majed Nachawati, the attorney representing the Dallas-based Tesla owner in the lawsuit, told Fox News Digital that owning a car shouldn’t be political. “Whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, this is a free country. You’re entitled to drive whatever you want, as long as it’s legal and within the confines of the law, and you should feel safe and secure in doing so, which, in my opinion, is why the authorities on the law enforcement side are taking these cases very seriously.”

Nachawati went on to explain the importance of consequences for those vandalizing the vehicles, saying “It’s a slippery slope, where does it end? Right? Fortunately, you know, my client’s car was keyed. He wasn’t injured himself, and he wasn’t in the vehicle. But others haven’t been so lucky, and so if this continues, you know, it’s a fine line between having a civil society and chaos.”

Vance responds to Trump admin admitting ‘error’ sending man to Salvadoran prison
Vice President JD Vance responded to comments asking him about the Trump administration admitting to sending a Salvadoran man with protected legal status to the megaprison in El Salvador by mistake.
“It’s gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring citizens they victimize,” Vance wrote on X in response to a question about the error from “Pod Save America” host Jon Favreau.
The administration’s attorneys acknowledged in a court filing on Monday that it sent Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador by mistake, which was first reported by The Atlantic. However, the administration also claimed that U.S. courts lack jurisdiction to order his return from the prison where he is behind bars.
Abrego Garcia was removed from Maryland when the administration sent three planeloads of Salvadoran and Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador’s “Terrorism Confinement Center” on March 15 for alleged gang affiliations.

Attorneys for several removed Venezuelan migrants have emphasized that the administration has falsely labeled several of the removed migrants as gang members based on their tattoos, though administration officials have repeatedly stated those sent to the prison are the “worst of the worst.”
Certain tattoos flagged as gang-affiliated, which could lead to a migrant’s removal, include art of things like a crown or NBA legend Michael Jordan’s famous “Jumpman” logo rather than only symbols of a notable gang in El Salvador or Venezuela.
The administration maintains that those tattoos have gang affiliations.

While responding to Favreau, who served as an aide to former President Barack Obama, Vance said “you apparently didn’t read he was a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be here” – referencing the court filing.
“My further comment is that it’s gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring citizens they victimize,” the vice president added.
The court filing states that Abrego Garcia was denied bond in 2019 over an informant’s allegation that he was a member of MS-13, but he has not been convicted.

Court filings also show Abrego Garcia came to the U.S. in 2011 at the age of 16 after fleeing gang threats in El Salvador, The Atlantic reported.
Eight years later, a judge granted him a form of protected status known as “withholding of removal” after finding that he would likely be a target of Salvadoran gangs if deported to his native country.

Epstein accuser addresses speculation around crash she says left her with days to live
Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, formerly known as Virginia Roberts, said on Instagram Sunday that she has just days to live after a high-speed crash involving a school bus in Australia led to kidney failure.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it [is] important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km (about 70 mph) as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” Giuffre posted along with an image of herself showing bruises on her face, head and torso from a hospital bed.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”

A spokesperson for Giuffre said in a statement that she had been seriously hurt and has been hospitalized since last week.

They asked if anyone was injured and suggested that if they were, they should make their way to the hospital.”
The driver took the children to safety and filled out a police report later, she said. Giuffre went home at first with some bruising and later checked into a hospital.
“Concerning her Instagram post, Virginia thought that she had posted on her private Facebook page,” she said. “Virginia and her family thank everyone for their concern.”

Giuffre is among the most publicly visible accusers of the alleged sex trafficker Epstein, his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, and their friend the British Prince Andrew.

Court documents from Giuffre’s court battles have made public thousands of pages of documents that shed light on Epstein’s case that would otherwise have remained out of public view, including Epstein’s contact book and flight logs and sworn depositions from Epstein and Maxwell.
Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021 and is appealing.
Federal prosecutors directed to seek death penalty against CEO murder suspect Luigi Mangione
Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in the case against Luigi Mangione, who is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Bondi said on Tuesday that Thompson’s murder was “a premeditated, cold-blooded assassination that shocked America.”
“After careful consideration, I have directed federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty in this case as we carry out President Trump’s agenda to stop violent crime and Make America Safe Again,” she said.
Acting U.S. Attorney Matthew Podolsky will seek the death penalty in the case.

He faces numerous state and federal charges, including murder in the first degree “in furtherance of an act of terrorism.” He has pleaded not guilty to state charges but has not yet entered a plea for federal charges.
Thompson, a 50-year-old husband and father of two from Minnesota, was at the New York City hotel for an investor conference when he was gunned down from behind on the sidewalk.
Thompson joined UnitedHealth Group in 2004 and held a variety of leadership roles over the course of his career. He served as the chief financial officer for several of the company’s businesses, including its employer and individual, community and state, and Medicare and retirement divisions.

Thompson also served as the financial controller for UnitedHealthcare’s employer and individual business and as a director in corporate development.
Justice Department records show the federal government has executed 16 people since 2001, beginning with the deaths of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh and, eight days later, American drug trafficker Juan Raul Garza, who had two men killed and executed a third himself.
Notably, 13 of those executions came during President Trump’s first term in office.

School board takes action after state’s defiance of Trump’s trans athlete ban
A pair of school board officials in deep blue Washington State are fighting back as the state’s education chief remains committed to defying President Donald Trump‘s executive order barring transgender athletes from women’s sports.
“It’s an absolute joke,” Kennewick School Board Vice President Micah Valentine said Monday on “Fox & Friends First.”
“He has been promoting his radical leftist ideology since we’ve been on the board…. Grades are dropping under his watch. Meanwhile, he’s promoting LGBTQIA+ things…”
STATE EDUCATION CHIEF SAYS IT’S ‘INACCURATE’ TO SAY THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS, IN DEFENSE OF TRANS ATHLETES
The Kennewick School Board filed a Title IX complaint with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights against Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal last week, seeking federal intervention over the state’s refusal to comply with Trump’s “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order.
Reykdal defended transgender athletes in girls’ sports in an address last month, claiming it was “inaccurate” to say “biologically” there are only two genders.
“There’s a continuum. There’s a science to this. There are children who are born intersex. There are children whose hormones and whose chromosomes are not consistent with their sex at birth,” he said.

With mixed directives from the federal and state levels, the district is concerned not only about jeopardizing the well-being of female student athletes but also about putting lower-income students at risk if they lose federal funding because of the mix-up.
Kennewick School Board President Gabe Galbraith told Fox News that the district is seeking federal intervention to ensure the order will eventually be honored.
“There’s boys participating in girls’ sports. There’s boys in girls’ locker rooms. It’s unfair. It’s not safe, and we’re asking the federal government to just step in and put an end to this and ensure that the state is following President Trump’s statements,” he said.

Reykdal said his office “has continued to advise Washington’s school districts to stay in compliance with state law, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity” in a statement to the Washington State Standard.
He also argued that Trump’s order “attempts to override the authority of states and local school districts by requiring educational institutions to agree to discriminate against trans female athletes in order to continue receiving federal funds.”
“An executive order is not law, and it does not override state law. OSPI will enforce our current laws as we are required to do in a constitutional democracy until Congress changes the law and/or federal courts invalidate Washington state’s laws,” he added.
Judge issues ruling on lawsuit against former Dem gov over COVID nursing home deaths
A federal judge has dismissed a class-action lawsuit accusing former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his administration of being responsible for the deaths of their loved ones in nursing homes during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
U.S. District Court Judge Katherine Polk Failla wrote on Monday that although what happened was heartbreaking, the families’ legal arguments didn’t meet the standard for suing in federal court.
Cuomo, who was governor at the time, issued a March 2020 directive that initially barred nursing homes from refusing to accept patients who had tested positive for COVID-19. The directive was aimed at freeing up beds for overwhelmed hospitals.
NYC MAYOR SAYS CUOMO SHOULD ‘ANSWER’ COVID NURSING HOME ALLEGATIONS
More than 9,000 recovering coronavirus patients were released from hospitals into nursing homes under the directive, which was later rescinded amid speculation that it had accelerated outbreaks.
The eight plaintiffs in the case argued that their loved ones contracted COVID-19 in nursing homes and died as a result of the directive\. They accused Cuomo and his administration of being civilly liable for their deaths as well as being liable for failing to accurately report the number of nursing home deaths in New York state that resulted from the virus.
Failla, an Obama appointee, said the government wasn’t directly responsible for the deaths, even if its policies had tragic consequences.
“The Court’s sympathy for Plaintiffs and their loved ones simply cannot supplant governing law,” Failla wrote.
She wrote that the plaintiffs’ arguments did not meet the high bar of “shocking the public conscience” which is needed for this type of lawsuit and that officials acted during a fast-moving crisis.
The family members accused the defendants of violating the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment. They also brought state law claims including wrongful death and gross negligence under New York law.
Failla dismissed most of the claims on jurisdictional grounds and without prejudice.
“The Court does not question the sincerity or depth of Plaintiffs’ loss,” she wrote. “But the law, as it currently stands, does not permit recovery against the Defendants for the harms alleged.”
She also emphasized that the case was dismissed based on legal standards, not a denial that harm occurred.
FORMER GOV. ANDREW CUOMO LAUNCHES NYC MAYORAL BID
Cuomo spokesperson Rich Azzopardi welcomed the ruling and noted it was the second such case to be tossed on similar grounds.
“Anytime this issue gets taken out of the press or the political arena and into the courts, the truth wins,” Azzopardi said.
Azzopardi said the case follows three separate probes by the Justice Department as well as the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
“Once again, justice has prevailed.”
Cuomo, who is currently running for New York City Mayor, has previously said that the directive was based on Center for Diseases and Prevention (CDC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidance at the time.
A report released in March 2022 by the New York state comptroller found Cuomo’s Health Department “was not transparent in its reporting of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes” and it “understated the number of deaths at nursing homes by as much as 50%” during some points of the pandemic.
The former governor was grilled by Republican lawmakers last year about following which House Republicans subsequently recommended the Justice Department pursue criminal charges against him. They accused him of intentionally lying to Congress during the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the excessive number of nursing home fatalities.

A state report later commissioned by Cuomo’s successor, Gov. Kathy Hochul, found that while the policies on how nursing homes should handle COVID-19 were “rushed and uncoordinated,” they were based on the best understanding of the science at the time.
Cuomo ultimately resigned from office in August 2021 following sexual harassment allegations, which he denies.

Democrats are facing their worst nightmare: Elon Musk, one of the smartest people on the planet, is revealing their dirty tricks. No wonder they are out to destroy him and his companies.
Musk spoke recently at a town hall in Wisconsin, supporting a Republican candidate for that state’s Supreme Court who could be critical in determining whether the GOP continues to narrowly control the House of Representatives. The currently liberal court is likely to redraw the swing state’s districts to favor Democrats, costing GOP seats.
But Musk also discussed some of the shocking discoveries made by his DOGE team as they have sifted through the federal bureaucracy. Perhaps most galling was that 5.5 million people who entered the U.S. illegally during Joe Biden’s presidency were issued Social Security numbers, making them eligible for various government programs. According to a DOGE colleague, 1.3 million of that population were found to be receiving Medicaid benefits; he reported that all the default systems in the Social Security Administration had been set to “maximum inclusion” and “maximum pay.”

DOGE investigators were stunned by this discovery, and puzzled that Biden would allow such abuses of our safety nets. Then they found that many of the undocumented immigrants had been illegally registered to vote, and that some did in the 2024 election.
Musk concludes: “Biden was not asleep at the switch. This was a massive large-scale program to import as many illegals as possible, to ultimately change the voting map of the United States, disenfranchise the American people and make it a permanent deep blue one party state…”
Musk has also revealed Democrats’ nefarious funneling of money from the federal government and into thousands of liberal NGOs, which receive little oversight and which often serve the party instead of the country. On a podcast with Joe Rogan, Musk called the NGO practice the “biggest scam ever”.
It is not surprising that Democrats and their media allies have been lying to the public about DOGE, accusing the group of a reckless disregard for public employees and the law. Musk’s public appearances are setting the record straight. Last week, on Fox News’ Special Report, Musk and DOGE team members told Bret Baier and his audience of millions just how duplicative, antiquated and riddled with fraud our government is. They also countered Democrat accusations by revealing that government employees are not being treated harshly, few have been fired outright, and DOGE’s work with agencies like Medicare and Social Security is not aiming to cut benefits but rather improve and safeguard vital payments.

With Joe Biden having blown up our debt to $37 trillion and with persistent $2 trillion deficits, they are right. Streamlining our government could not be more important.
Instead of applauding the DOGE team and leader Elon Musk, crazed Democrats are firebombing Tesla dealerships and keying cars forgetting, apparently, that electric cars have disproportionately been bought by wealthy white liberals enchanted to think that buying a luxury automobile could help save the planet. Not only are these “activist” loons acting criminally, they are also foolish. The entire country will benefit from streamlining our bloated and wasteful bureaucracy.
DOGE members, who post their activities on X, discussed with Baier some shocking instances of outdated practices. Several weeks ago, they discovered that the federal employee retirement system relies on 400 million paper documents stored in an underground mine. So laborious is the 1950s arrangement that, according to Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, employees have to take a training course before they retire, to learn how to navigate the system. Also, the process allows only 8,000 workers to retire each month; that’s all the creaky apparatus can manage.
Gebbia plans to digitize the system and promises “that the government can have an Apple Store-like experience, beautifully designed, great user experience, modern systems,” perhaps in just a few months. Who can object to that?
It is not surprising to find that the government is unforgivably behind on technology, which leads to the kinds of inefficiencies we have all encountered when trying to penetrate the bureaucratic maze of the IRS or the Social Security Administration, for instance. Commercial companies like big banks spend tens of billons of dollars each year on technology, to stay up to date. The government spends $100 billion, according to DOGE software engineer Aram Moghaddassi, but those funds mostly go to maintaining outdated 1950s- era systems.

Brad Smith, working with Health and Human Services, reports, “There’s 700 different IT systems today at NIH,” that “cannot speak to each other.” Many agencies share that issue, says Musk, which is how there can be tens of millions of Social Security numbers extent that belong to people over the age of 115, and $300 billion of small business loans made to children under the age of 11.
Elon Musk claims DOGE is furthering a revolution. He is right. There has never been a serious effort to modernize our federal bureaucracy. President Trump may well be celebrated for other accomplishments, like closing our southern border or rebuilding our manufacturing sector, but it could be that making our government work again will be his most significant achievement.

The now-viral investing app Autopilot gives investors the opportunity to replicate the portfolios of politicians or investment managers like multi-billionaire CEO Warren Buffett, who have raked in money from their own investment mixes.
Co-founder Chris Josephs told Fox News early Tuesday that the app tracks politicians’ “trade and disclosures around their financial statements.”

According to Forbes, the app enables users to “trade the portfolios” of notable figures like Pelosi by selecting the portfolio of your choice, connecting your stock brokerage account and selecting how much you wish to invest.
“Autopilot will direct the brokerage to place trades when new public disclosures of trades are made for chosen portfolios,” the outlet said.
It’s free for users trading one portfolio, but there’s a $29 per quarter or $100 annual fee for the app’s “Plus” option, which allows for investing in multiple portfolios.
Josephs said Pelosi became the “poster child” for insider trading allegations because of her husband’s investing track record, but clarified that, since lawmakers are legally allowed to trade stocks, he isn’t accusing the California Democrat of anything illegal. He said the accusations of insider trading are merely allegations.
