General Situation
A humid southerly airstream affected the coast of Guangdong today. Locally, there were sunny intervals and isolated showers. There were fog patches this morning. The visibility in the harbour once fell below 1000 metres. Besides, a trough of low pressure brought showers and thunderstorms to central China today. The trough of low pressure is expected to develop into a cold front tomorrow. It will bring showers and severe squally thunderstorms to Guangdong. The cold front will move across the coastal areas of Guangdong later tomorrow. Under the influence of the associated dry northeast monsoon, the weather will improve gradually over Guangdong early next week. It will be slightly cooler in the morning, with rather large temperature difference between day and night.
Forecast Description
Cloudy. Warm with coastal mist at first. Moderate to fresh southerly winds. The maximum temperature will be about 25 degrees. Occasional showers. Showers will be heavier in some areas with a few squally thunderstorms during the day. Winds will strengthen from the north in the afternoon, occasionally reaching gale force offshore and on high ground. Showers will ease off gradually at night. Temperatures will drop significantly to a minimum of 18 degrees.

Under the influence of the northeast monsoon associated with the cold front, local winds will strengthen from the north tomorrow afternoon with winds offshore and on high ground occasionally reaching gale force. Temperatures will drop significantly from a maximum of around 25 degrees to a minimum of around 17 degrees on Sunday morning.
