General Situation
The northeast monsoon affected the coast of Guangdong today. Besides, the sand and dust weather also affected parts of Guangdong. Locally, it was mainly cloudy. The relative humidity over many places fell to 30 per cent or below, and the relative humidity recorded at the Observatory once fell to 21 per cent, the lowest record in April since the automatic weather station was established at the Observatory’s Headquarters in 1984. The monsoon moderated gradually in the afternoon. Under the influence of a very dry continental airstream, as well as sand and dust weather, in addition to weak winds, visibility will be relatively low over Guangdong in the next couple of days. The temperature difference between day and night will be rather large.
Forecast Description
Becoming fine. Very dry. Visibility relatively low in some areas. The minimum temperature in the morning will be about 20 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories. Hot during the day with a maximum temperature of around 28 degrees. Light to moderate northerly winds.
