General Situation
Showers and thunderstorms associated with the trough of low pressure are affecting the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary. Locally, more than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places this morning, and rainfall even exceeded 50 millimetres over the eastern part of Hong Kong Island, Kwun Tong and Tseung Kwan O. Besides, pressure is rising over eastern China. An easterly airstream is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong at night.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with showers and a few thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times. The maximum temperature will be around 27 degrees. Light winds, becoming moderate east to northeasterlies at night.
It will be windier and there will still be a few showers tomorrow. Slightly cooler in the morning over the weekend. Sunny periods in the following couple of days, hot during the day.
