General Situation
A trough of low pressure brought unsettled weather to southern China today. Locally, it was cloudy with showers. Showers were heavy with a few squally thunderstorms in the morning. More than 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places, and rainfall even exceeded 50 millimetres over the eastern part of Hong Kong Island, Kwun Tong and Tseung Kwan O. Besides, an easterly airstream affected the coast of eastern Guangdong gradually tonight. The easterly airstream will continue to affect the coast of southern China over the weekend. There will be a few showers and temperatures will drop slightly over the region.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Showers will be heavy in some areas with isolated thunderstorms at first. Slightly cooler with temperatures ranging between 22 and 25 degrees. Moderate to fresh easterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground.
It will be hot during the day in the following few days, but there will still be one or two showers early next week.
