Elon Musk asked if he has any regrets — points to the real threat facing America
Tesla co-founder Elon Musk is beginning his exit from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as his time as a special government employee comes to a close.
His tenure as the public face of DOGE has been marked by historic cuts and widespread outrage, but the tech titan does not regret his time with the Trump administration.
Although once praised by the media and championed by the left, Musk’s decision to become a force in the public sphere has not been without backlash. From his purchase of Twitter, now X, to coming out in support of then-candidate Donald Trump, Musk’s year has been anything but “boring.”
Fox News host Lara Trump asked Musk if he had any “regret” over his work at DOGE or his support of Trump, to which the SpaceX founder replied, “No.”
“I think it was essential for President Trump to win to ensure that America remained great, and that we reach greater heights,” Musk said in an interview that aired Saturday on “My View with Lara Trump.”
ICE CREAM FROM TRUMP AND A ‘COMICALLY TINY OFFICE’: INSIDE ELON MUSK’S WILD 3 MONTHS GETTING DOGE ROLLING
In the run-up to the November 2024 election, Musk became a staunch supporter of Trump despite having been a former Obama donor, citing concerns over former President Joe Biden’s “most radical-left, crazy administration ever.”
“Whoever controlled the auto pen and telepromptor during the Biden administration was the real president,” he said.
Musk also told Lara Trump that he believed “if President Trump had not won, I think the Democrat campaign to import vast numbers of illegal voters would have succeeded,” adding that America would have risked becoming a “one-party state from which we could never escape.”
“Some people out there may be somewhat skeptical. They may think, ‘Well, there isn’t some Democrat plan to subvert democracy and achieve a permanent one-party, deep blue socialist state.’ I assure you, the more you research it, the more that you will see it is true.”
With Trump winning in November, Musk was put to work on day one of the new administration, but his cost-cutting efforts have sparked nationwide opposition.
“It’s not been boring, that’s for sure — an eventful year to say the least. At least I didn’t get shot, you know. Look on the bright side,” Musk said.
“But we have had people shoot up Tesla stores and burn down Tesla cars. I wasn’t expecting that level of violence, really,” he continued.

Musk even conceded the bad actors targeting him and his companies are “somewhat inevitable.”
Part of the backlash has been a “relentless propaganda campaign” from opponents of the Trump administration, attempting to “destroy [his] public perception” and “doing character assassination,” he said.
Musk concluded the outrage shows DOGE’s work is “effective.”
As President Donald Trump marked his 100th day in office on Tuesday, DOGE said it has cut at least $160 billion in waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.
With no plans of slowing down, DOGE has made a number of consequential and controversial cuts in recent months, including cuts to hundreds of millions in DEI contracts and efforts to slash federal spending by trimming the federal workforce.
While DOGE made historic moves in the Trump administration’s first 100 days, Musk revealed what he most wants his legacy to be.
“That I was useful in the furtherance of civilization,” he told Lara Trump. “That I helped move civilization forward, added to the store of knowledge and capability — that I helped to understand the universe.”
Former State Department employee stole $650K from taxpayers under Biden’s watch
A former State Department budget analyst has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $650,000 from the agency over a two-year span, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C.
Levita Almuete Ferrer, 64, of Maryland, admitted to abusing her signature authority over a State Department checking account between March 2022 and April 2024 in her capacity as a senior budget analyst in the department’s Office of the Chief of Protocol.
She wrote 60 checks to herself and three checks to someone else she had a personal relationship with, prosecutors said. She printed and signed each check before depositing all 63 checks into her personal bank accounts.
RUBIO OVERHAULING ‘BLOATED’ STATE DEPARTMENT IN SWEEPING REFORM
The checks totaled $657,347.50, according to prosecutors.
Ferrer, also known as Levita Brezovic, attempted to hide the scheme through the use of a Quickbooks account.
She would enter her name as the payee on checks in Quickbooks and print them, prosecutors said. She would often then change the listed payee in Quickbooks from herself to a legitimate State Department vendor, making it difficult for anyone viewing those entries in the Quickbooks system to see Ferrer as the payee on the checks.

Ferrer pleaded guilty on Wednesday to theft of government property and is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 18. She could face a maximum of 10 years in prison.
As part of her plea agreement, Ferrer agreed to pay the stolen amount in restitution to the U.S. government and be liable for a forfeiture money judgment in that same amount.
Fiction no more? Thriller-turned-film sparks fear as author warns America
Author William R. Forstchen’s bestselling novel “One Second After” – which imagines the devastating effects of an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) strike on the United States – is being adapted into a feature film.
The screenplay will be written by renowned sci-fi writer J. Michael Straczynski, with Forstchen himself serving as an executive producer.
Fox News Digital spoke with Forstchen about the real-world inspiration behind his work and why he warns that an EMP attack is a looming threat, not just science fiction.
“I wanted to write an accurate, a very accurate story of what would happen in a small town in North Carolina if the power went off, and it never came back on,” he said.
US ‘GOLDEN DOME’ BACK IN PLAY AS ‘INSURANCE POLICY’ DECADES AFTER REGAN’S COLD PROPOSAL
Forstchen was wrapping up his Ph.D. at Purdue University when he began pursuing a novel on an EMP attack on the United States.
He said that he struggled to get the novel off the ground and clarify his ideas until he had a “God moment” at his graduation.
“I call it a ‘God moment.’ I was sitting there, sweating in my robes, looking at the students and parents, and it just hit me – write about us, write about my town.”
The moment of inspiration led him back to his hometown – near Asheville, North Carolina – where he began the task of writing an accurate, compelling version of events following the devastation of an EMP attack.
Forstchen began the process of writing and drew inspiration from key figures in his hometown.
“I started interviewing people like crazy – police chief, pharmacist – and I learned how deeply everything depends on that invisible lifeline of electricity,” he said.
He pointed to the interview with the local pharmacist, who he shared had been left crying after considering what would happen following an EMP strike.
“I started interviewing people like crazy. I’ll never forget finishing talking with the police chief. And I said, ‘All right, Jack, what would you do? And he picked up the phone, and he said, wait a minute, the phones don’t work anymore, do they?'” he said.
“I learned that the pharmacist knows the people more than anybody. They’re the ones giving out the heart medication, the anti-psychotic, and she started writing down this long list of people who would be dead in two to three months,” he said.
NUCLEAR EMP ATTACK: HOW US, AMERICANS CAN PREPARE FOR ‘VERY REAL THREAT,’ EXPERT SAYS
From dozens of interviews, Forstchen crafted his novel together. “One Second After” was published in 2009 and remains on the bestseller list.
The novel is now being adapted into an MPI original film in association with Startling Inc.
The feature film is being penned by Straczynski, with Forstchen serving as an executive producer. Scott Rogers is directing the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Bulgaria this September.
WATCH: US should prepare for nuclear EMP attack, expert warns
Fox News Digital previously spoke with Forstchen about an EMP strike, who said that the threat is “very real.”
“EMP is generated when a small nuclear weapon, 40 to 60 kilotons or about three times the size of a Hiroshima bomb, is detonated 200 miles out in space above the United States. It sets up an electrostatic discharge, which cascades to the Earth’s surface, feeds into the millions of miles of wires which become antennas, feeds this into the power grid, overloads the grid and blows it out,” he said.
TRUMP SAYS THAT IRON DOME CONSTRUCTION WILL BE ‘IMMEDIATE,’ SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER
Forstchen, citing Congressional reports from 2002 and 2008, said that 80% to 90% of Americans would be dead a year later if an EMP strike were to happen.
“The threat of an EMP was first realized during the 1962 Starfish Prime high-altitude nuclear test. What happened was that it blew about 500 miles away from Hawaii and 200 miles up,” he said. “They were able to bring the system back within a matter of days, but what would it be like if it took a month, six months, a year, or five years to fix?”
The late Peter Pry, a nuclear weapons expert and former staff director at the Congressional EMP Commission, agreed. Before his death in 2022, Pry warned that Kim Jong Un’s launch of a high-altitude ballistic missile was a test of North Korea’s EMP capabilities against the United States.

“Cars would be paralyzed,” Pry told Fox Business in May 2017. “Airplanes could fall out of the sky. You’d have natural gas pipeline explosions, nuclear reactor overloads. And worst of all, if you had a protracted blackout, it would be a serious threat to the survival of the American people.”
Trump offers military help to crush cartels — Mexico’s response stuns White House
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum publicly confirmed she rejected U.S. military assistance from President Donald Trump, who was looking to help the country fight drug trafficking and violent cartels.
Responding to a Wall Street Journal report Friday that detailed the offer, Sheinbaum confirmed “it’s true.”
Trump reportedly called Sheinbaum and asked, “How can we help you fight drug trafficking?”
She told Trump the country will “never accept” the presence of the U.S. Army in its territory.
CONSERVATIVE GROUP’S ROADMAP SHOWS HOW TRUMP CAN USE MILITARY TO THWART CARTELS
“No, President Trump, our territory is inalienable, sovereignty is inalienable,” Sheinbaum said. “We can collaborate. We can work together, but with you in your territory and us in ours. We can share information, but we will never accept the presence of the United States Army on our territory.”
SINALOA CARTEL TAKES ROOT IN AMERICAN NEIGHBORHOODS: WHERE ARE THEY?
In a written statement to Fox News Digital Saturday, White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly highlighted coordinated efforts with Mexico to address border security.
“President Trump has worked with President Sheinbaum to advance border security collaboration with Mexico to the highest levels ever,” Kelly wrote. “This robust cooperation and information sharing is delivering tangible results, including the removal of numerous cartel leaders to the U.S. to face justice and creating the most secure border in history.”
Since taking office, Trump has continued to use CIA drones to conduct surveillance flights over the country in coordination with the Mexican government.
He has also formally named drug cartels “foreign terrorist” groups.
CIA USES DRONES TO SNIFF OUT CARTELS AND FENTANYL LABS IN MEXICO
However, Kelly said Mexico must do more to protect Americans from dangerous foreign terrorist organizations and “the drugs and violence they flood into communities on both sides of the border.”
“We will continue exploring ways to enhance our efforts across the region to dismantle these transnational criminal organizations,” she wrote. “We will make America safe again.”
The Heritage Foundation, a top conservative group, released a report in January detailing how Trump could use the military to confront the border crisis.
It argued that Mexican cartels are continuing to grow, illegal immigration and narcotics smuggling have accelerated and U.S.-Mexico security cooperation has deteriorated.
However, the report noted direct military action against cartels should be a “last resort,” preferring joint military action with Mexican coordination, Fox News Digital previously reported.

“In the appropriate context, unilateral U.S. military action may be employed to disrupt cartel activity and prompt cooperation from a resistant Mexican government,” the group wrote.
The foundation claimed Mexico was unlikely to change its stance when Sheinbaum was elected despite the escalating threat from cartels.
DHS slams NYT for glaring omission about suspect who allegedly defiled corpse
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) slammed The New York Times Saturday over a story about a suspect who allegedly raped a corpse on a New York City subway, saying the reporters failed to mention the man was in the U.S. illegally.
“The New York Times refused to mention anywhere in its 400-word story on the monstrous rape of a corpse on the NYC subway that the depraved perpetrator is an ILLEGAL alien,” Tricia McLaughlin, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs, wrote on X. “Why not report the facts, @nytimes?”
Fox News Digital has reached out to The New York Times for comment.

Several other outlets also failed to report on Rojas’ immigration status, and the New York Post reported that his immigration status was unknown at the time of its story Tuesday about the incident. On Friday, the Post followed up with a separate story reporting that Rojas was in the U.S. illegally.
DHS issued a news release announcing Rojas’ ICE detainer May 1, three days after the Times story, which does not appear to have been updated with his immigration status since Monday. The Times hasn’t written any additional stories about Rojas since.

According to DHS, Rojas, who illegally entered the country multiple times dating back to 1998, was arrested in New York City and charged with rape and grand larceny for allegedly raping a corpse on a subway in Manhattan.
A man who died of natural causes on the R train was slumped over in a seat, the NYPD told Fox News. Rojas allegedly rummaged through the man’s pockets and then had sex with the man’s dead body after looking around to see if anyone was watching, police say.

Investigators are now looking into the possibility he could be linked to other crimes across the city.
“With impunity, open-border policies have allowed violent criminal aliens to terrorize America’s towns and cities,” McLaughlin said in a statement. “Under President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s leadership, ICE is working around the clock to remove the worst of the worst from our communities. If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you and lock you up.”
Another damning report about Shedeur Sanders surfaces after NFL Draft slide
Negative reports about Shedeur Sanders are continuing to come to light.
The former Colorado quarterback fell all the way to the fifth round of last week’s NFL Draft after once being considered a top 5 overall selection.
In the days leading up to the draft, reports circulated about Sanders’ attitude with coaches.
One said Sanders’ formal interview was “the worst,” adding the quarterback was “entitled.”

Other reports have said Sanders appeared disinterested in some meetings, notably with the New York Giants.
Now that the draft has come and gone, one CBS analyst recalled when Sanders skipped out on something he was “supposed to be doing.”
Star players, normally quarterbacks, and coaches often meet with broadcasters in the days leading up to a game, but before a game against Colorado State, Sanders skipped one of those meetings, according to CBS’ Ross Tucker.
ABDUL CARTER WHIFFS ON ANOTHER GIANTS LEGEND’S NUMBER: ‘JUST MY LAST NAME ON MY JERSEY’
Tucker said Sanders was initially supposed to speak with CBS on a Wednesday, but it was pushed back two days because he was getting treatment for an injury. But he never showed up to the rescheduled meeting.
“We weren’t really given a reason, but we did not talk to Shedeur at the production meetings, which, as you know, starting quarterback, especially high-profile player like that, very unusual. I walk out of the hotel, and there’s a pickup truck in front of the hotel, and Shedeur is just sitting in the back of the pickup truck,” Tucker said on “The Dan Patrick Show.”
“It just made me wonder. People asked me, NFL people asked me after that game, ‘What did you think of Shedeur?’ And I said, ‘I didn’t get to talk to him.’ Maybe he’s the greatest kid ever, maybe he’s a bad kid. I don’t know. But I told them the story, and they just kind of nodded their head.
“And it just made me wonder how many stories are there like that in which Shedeur did things that were not customary. He did things non-traditionally. It certainly seemed like that was the deal with a lot of the combine interviews and meetings with teams. And especially at that position, I think it makes them very nervous that already in college he was getting out of things that you’re supposed to be doing. What’s he gonna be like if he’s a first-round pick in the NFL Draft?”
Sanders was drafted 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns. His slide in the draft began after the New York Giants traded up to 25 to select Jaxson Dart. Then, on day two, three other quarterbacks — Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe and Dillon Gabriel — were all taken. Gabriel also went to the Browns.

Former Playboy model Holly Madison warns of Hollywood’s ‘dark underbelly’
Holly Madison, a former Playboy model and one of Hugh Hefner’s longtime girlfriends, left the Playboy Mansion in 2008. After telling her story over the years, she’s certain about one thing – Hollywood can be an evil place.
“There’s definitely a dark underbelly,” the 45-year-old told Fox News Digital. “There’s kind of an energy in Hollywood that I felt ever since I moved here. There’s this energy of when you’re that young woman who steps off the bus from the Midwest or wherever you’re from.
“There are leeches looking to take advantage of and destroy you and use you everywhere,” the mother of two added.
HOLLY MADISON RECALLS PLAYBOY FOUNDER HUGH HEFNER’S ‘INSECURITIES’: ‘HE HAD A JEALOUS STREAK’
“And I’m not just talking about rich, powerful people. I’m talking about pimps on the street. I’m talking about people trying to bait and switch and get girls involved in sex trafficking. … It’s really everywhere here. I saw it firsthand when I moved here at 19.”
On Monday, Madison is kicking off season 3 of Investigation Discovery’s (ID) true crime series, “The Playboy Murders,” which explores high-profile tragedies and crimes associated with the iconic magazine brand.
Looking back, Madison said she felt Hollywood’s darkness “right away.”

“It’s almost ironic because I felt like Playboy, when I moved into the mansion, felt kind of safe in a way, even though there were all these things going on that I hated and didn’t like,” said Madison.
“It felt like almost the sanitized corporate version of sexuality. But it felt a lot safer to me to be living in this big, guarded house than to be out driving around in my car that’s ready to break down, struggling to make ends meet and people approaching you on the street.”
“I thought I was going to end up like the Black Dahlia or something,” Madison remarked, referring to one of LA’s most notorious murder cases. “I thought Playboy was my safe haven.”
Madison was 21 when she moved into the Playboy Mansion. She made her exit at age 29 after wrapping “The Girls Next Door,” a reality TV series about Hefner’s multiple girlfriends. In 2016, she wrote a memoir, “Down the Rabbit Hole,” alleging years of verbal and emotional abuse.
Looking back at her experience, Madison would advise any hopeful model making her way to Hollywood for a big break to “keep your circle of friends” close.
“Hopefully, they can give you some level-headed advice or let you know if something seems to be getting a little out of control,” she advised. “And do your research. [Dive] in on the downsides of every different industry.”

“I remember being 18 and 19 and thinking I was such a badass and that I could just take on the world and that I could have sex like a man and have no emotional attachment,” she reflected.
“But it’s really not like that. Doing things like that carries a lot of emotional weight. I think looking into people’s stories who are honest about all the sides of the industry is a really good thing to do. And look at some of the cautionary tales before you just dive in.”
Madison never crossed paths with Kimberly Fattorini, a Playboy casting associate and part-time model. Fattorini’s 2017 death is the subject of the season’s first episode.
“The story came to my attention because several of her friends were messaging me on Instagram after season 2 of ‘The Playboy Murders’ aired, and they’re like, ‘Can you please cover Kimmy’s story?’” said Madison.
“Everything about her story just looks so familiar to me. … It was really scary to me because I feel like I’ve been in many situations where you’re just out with friends, and there are guys who don’t have people’s best interests in mind.”
According to the episode, Fattorini died from ingesting a lethal cocktail of alcohol, cocaine and the date rape drug gamma hydroxybutyrate, or “GHB.” She was 30 years old.

According to the episode, a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Fattorini’s parents against former NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman, promoter Eli Wehbe and model Monica Maass is pending. It noted that Merriman, Wehbe and Maass declined to discuss Fattorini’s death for the series. They’ve previously denied accusations that were connected to Fattorini’s death.
“[It was] determined there wasn’t enough evidence for a criminal trial, but there are text messages that seem to indicate she knew somebody had drugged her drink,” said Madison. “It seemed like there was a lot of negligence and people around her who should have helped her and didn’t.
“It’s just a really scary feeling to look at a case like this and feel like this could have been me or one of my friends when we were out partying and just having fun, [being] normal young people,” she said. “I hope her family can get some answers and closure on that.”
When asked if Playboy should have stepped in at the time and pushed for answers, Madison admitted it was complicated.
“Playboy was such a huge company with so many people working for it,” she explained. “That’s why we’ve been able to find three seasons’ worth of cases. There were Playboy Clubs all over the country with so many women working as Bunnies. I think it’s impossible for one company to really … babysit the lives of everybody who’s ever worked for them, especially if something happened while the person wasn’t on the job.
“I don’t think it’s so much Playboy’s responsibility, but somebody needs to be held accountable for sure,” she added.

Madison noted that when you’re part of a “high-stakes environment,” there are plenty of risks to face. That’s why it’s crucial, she said, for aspiring models to keep a close circle of friends who aren’t from Hollywood.
“You’re going into Playboy and there’s so much potentially to be gained,” she said. “There’s fame, there’s money, there’s opportunities. And when you are the person who gets those opportunities, there can be a lot of jealousy, a lot of possessiveness. It’s living life in the fast lane.
“When you’re doing that, more extreme things can happen,” she said. “Even though a lot of people can have a positive experience in that setting, a lot of crazy things can happen too.”
Today, Madison calls Las Vegas home. She has credited the series with helping her connect with other women from her Playboy past who’ve faced their own struggles in Hollywood.
“It was healing to share my story,” she said. “I felt like when I [went] out, just based on the TV show that I was on, people thought I had this magical relationship, and they expected only positive things. I would only say positive things at first, just because I thought it was the nice thing to do. But it started to feel like I was living a lie.
“So just getting that off my chest and being able to be truthful about my experience is so healing for me. … To see other people who went through similar things as me, to be able to feel empowered enough to come out and tell the truth. … It feels good.”
Tom Cruise sparks romance rumors after being spotted with Hollywood star on her birthday
Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were spotted enjoying a stroll together as the actress celebrated her birthday.
The 62-year-old actor and de Armas were seen chatting as they walked down a path in a London park on the “Knives Out” star’s 37th birthday on Wednesday.
In a photo and video captured by a bystander and shared on X, formerly Twitter, Cruise was seen wearing a white polo t-shirt with dark blue jeans while de Armas sported a light-colored t-shirt with jeans, white sneakers and a brown crossbody bag.
Cruise walked next to de Armas with his hands behind his back and was holding what appeared to be an olive green dog leash with a pouch. The pair were accompanied by another woman as well as security guards during their outing.
TOM CRUISE AND ANA DE ARMAS FUEL ROMANCE RUMORS AFTER STEPPING OUT IN LONDON AGAIN
In the clip shared on social media, a dog that appeared to be de Armas’ pooch Salsa was seen walking alongside the group.
Representatives for Cruise and de Armas did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The pair, who are reportedly collaborating on a project, have been spotted together in London on several occasions over the past few months, fueling rumors of a potential romance.
The day before de Armas’ birthday, Cruise and the Cuba native were photographed as they disembarked a helicopter that was flown by the “Mission Impossible” star.
In images obtained by People magazine, de Armas was pictured walking on a helipad as she smiled and held her dog Elvis. The “Ghosted” actress wore a light pink hoodie with lavendar-colored shorts and white tennis shoes.
Another woman was seen strolling next to de Armas as she walked Salsa on a leash.
Cruise was photographed wearing a navy blue t-shirt with jeans and black shoes. The “Top Gun: Maverick” star beamed as he carried a black backpack and walked across the tarmac.
A source told People magazine that the two were “maybe” celebrating de Armas’ birthday together.
Two weeks earlier, the pair were spotted after another helicopter ride. On April 13, Cruise and de Armas were seen deplaning the actor’s helicopter in London that took off from Madrid, Spain.

De Armas wore blue jeans and a leather jacket as she held Elvis and walked Salsa. Cruise was seen in a white polo shirt, gray slacks and a navy jacket.
At the time, a source told People that the pair are not romantically involved and were accompanied on the trip by director Doug Liman. The group is reportedly working on a new project, but no additional information was provided.
Romance rumors began to swirl when de Armas and Cruise were photographed together for the first time on the night before Valentine’s Day.
On Feb. 13, the two were pictured walking through London’s Soho neighborhood as de Armas carried what appeared to be takeout bags of food from a restaurant. The two stopped for photos with fans before leaving in a taxi together.
A source later told People magazine that Cruise and the “Ghosted” actress had dined out with their agents, saying they were “discussing potential collaborations down the line.” The insider claimed Cruise and de Armas “appeared to have no romantic connection” and were “just friends.”
However, the duo further fueled dating speculation when they were again photographed together on March 14 as they arrived at the London Heliport by helicopter at night.

While speaking with People, a source said Cruise and de Armas echoed the statements made about them, and insisted they are collaborating on an upcoming project, but are not romantically involved.
According to the insider, director Liman also accompanied the two on the trip, but further details about the project were not disclosed.
De Armas will next be seen starring in the upcoming action thriller “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.” The movie is the fifth film in the “John Wick” franchise and will be released on June 6.
During a 2023 interview, de Armas heaped praise on Cruise as she discussed what motivated her to take on action roles.
“It’s demanding and painful, and your body is hurting everywhere, but it’s also very rewarding as I saw myself getting better at it,” the “No Time to Die” star told USA Today. “Besides, it’s fun. And if I just go say my lines and someone else does the stunts, I’m missing that fun.”
While speaking with the outlet, de Armas acknowledged she was “not at a Tom Cruise level yet.”

“But I can appreciate what he does 100% now, and I totally get why he does it. He’s so mind-blowing,” she said.
Cruise is one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars, appearing in dozens of movies within the genre and has led the “Mission Impossible” franchise since 1996.
The actor is producing and starring in the eighth installment of the franchise, titled “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” which premieres in theaters on May 23.
HGTV star Christina Haack settles divorce from third husband Josh Hall
Christina Haack has settled her divorce from her third husband, Josh Hall.
The 41-year-old HGTV star announced the news of the settlement nearly ten months after she and Hall both filed for divorce last July.
“Christina is pleased to confirm that a settlement has been reached through mediation,” Haack’s representative said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Saturday. “She extends her sincere appreciation to her attorney, Laura Wasser, and her team for their professional guidance and support throughout the process.”
Details of the settlement between Haack and Hall were not made public.
HGTV STAR CHRISTINA HAACK SWEARS OFF MARRIAGE AFTER SPLIT FROM THIRD HUSBAND
On Friday, the “Christina on the Coast” host celebrated the settlement in a post that she shared on her Instagram Story.
Haack thanked her legal team, led by Wasser, who she referred to as the “disso queen.”
“You are all a true class act,” Haack wrote. “I loved watching you in action and how you handle everything and everyone with class and grace…I appreciate you all beyond words. I have learned so much under your guidance.”
“And I’m grateful to have this behind me,” she added. “I can’t wait to move on with my life and focus on what’s ahead and all my blessings.”
Haack later shared a video of herself clinking wineglasses with a friend, noting that she was “celebrating.”
A representative for Hall declined to comment on the settlement.
Haack was first married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018. During their marriage, the former couple welcomed two children, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, and also starred alongside each other on the HGTV show “Flip or Flop” from 2013 to 2022.
After finalizing her divorce from El Moussa, Haack and “Wheeler Dealers” star Ant Anstead tied the knot in December 2018. The two welcomed Hudson, 5, in September 2019 went on to divorce in June 2021.
Haack and Hall began dating in March 2021, and secretly married in October of that year. The former couple later had a formal ceremony in Hawaii.
In July, Haack and Hall both filed their own divorce petitions, each citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the dissolution of their marriage. Hall requested spousal support and asked the court to terminate Haack’s ability to receive spousal support from him.
“I can’t wait to move on with my life and focus on what’s ahead and all my blessings.”
Meanwhile, Haack requested the court terminate both of their ability to be awarded spousal support. In a court filing, she stated that Hall “should not need” spousal support because he has his own source of income.
“I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” Hall wrote on Instagram after the divorce news broke. “I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever.”
“We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are.”
However, Haack and Hall’s split quickly became contentious and both have slammed each other on social media.

Prior to filing for divorce, Haack and Hall filmed footage for the HGTV show “The Flip Off” alongside Tarek and his second wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. However, Hall only appeared in the premiere episode of the show due to his split from Haack.
During a February episode of “The Flip Off,” Haack shared an update on their settlement negotiations as she claimed that Hall had continued to make her “financial offers” and “wants to retire off me.”

“Honestly, if I would’ve really understood the repercussions of all of this, I would’ve gotten a prenup or I would’ve never married him,” she said, per People.
During a March appearance on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” Haack said that she and Hall have “mediation next month, hopefully.” But when asked if the two were close to settling, she responded, “No. I don’t know. Hopefully. It has not been close, but you know, mediation’s good.”
Meanwhile, Haack and Hall have both moved on since their split.
In January, Hall posted a birthday tribute on social media to model Stephanie Gabrys on his Instagram, seemingly confirming their relationship.
