General Situation
A fresh to strong easterly airstream affected the coast of Guangdong and showers also affected the region today. Locally, there were sunny intervals and one or two showers. Around 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over the eastern part of the New Territories. Besides, a trough of low pressure brought showers and thunderstorms to central China. The trough of low pressure is expected to edge closer to the coastal areas of southern China later tomorrow, and bring thundery showers to the region during the weekend. Under the influence of the associated northeast monsoon, the weather will improve over southern China and temperatures will fall slightly early next week.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Coastal mist at first. Hot with sunny intervals during the day. There will be thunderstorms later. Temperatures will range between 26 and 31 degrees. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground at first, becoming moderate northeasterlies at night.
Occasional showers and a few thunderstorms on Saturday. Temperatures will begin to fall at night. Slightly cooler in the morning and the weather will improve in the following couple of days.
