General Situation
A cold front formed over the northern part of southern China this morning and edged closer to the coastal areas at night gradually. Besides, thundery showers also affected the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong today. Locally, it was mainly cloudy today. There were sunny intervals during the day and a few showers at night. Under the influence of the dry northeast monsoon associated with the cold front, it will be appreciably cooler over southern China in the morning in the next couple of days and the weather will improve gradually.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy. Showers and isolated thunderstorms at first. Temperatures will fall progressively from around 26 degrees at first to a minimum of about 19 degrees in the morning. Showers will ease off gradually. Dry with bright periods in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds, occasionally strong offshore and on high ground at first.
The weather will improve and it will be dry during the day on Monday. Hot with sunny periods and a few showers in the following couple of days.
