Police chief laments loss of life after release of bodycam footage of deadly traffic stop
Officials released bodycam footage showing the chaotic moments leading up to a deadly officer-involved shooting in Fairfax, Virginia, in April. In a press release accompanying the footage, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) called the incident an “attempted murder.”
On April 23, an officer pulled over 36-year-old Jamal Wali for speeding. Wali also had an expired safety inspection sticker. When he was pulled over, Wali slammed on the brakes, something the officer who initially approached Wali’s vehicle noted.
Wali then informed the officer he was armed and asked why he was being pulled over. From there, the situation took a chaotic turn as a clearly distressed Wali began shouting, cursing, refusing to give his name and saying he had no driver’s license or registration for the vehicle.

As the officer tried to deescalate the situation, Wali launched into profanity-laced complaints about how he had been treated in the country and said he came to the U.S. after serving as a translator for American forces in Afghanistan.
“I should have served with f—ing Taliban,” Wali yelled at the officer.
Wali eventually took out a GoPro-like camera and began recording the traffic stop. Police later obtained this footage and included it in the bodycam video released to the public Friday.
Two other FCPD officers arrived to assist the officer who initiated the traffic stop, with one standing on the driver’s side and the other on the passenger’s side. Wali eventually reached for his weapon and fired at the two officers on the driver’s side. According to FCPD Chief Kevin Davis, one bullet went through arms of both officers before hitting a parked car across the street, shattering its rear window.
Wali was shot and taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

“It’s always regrettable when a life is lost. It is regrettable that Mr. Wali is no longer with us,” Davis said at a news conference announcing the release of the footage. He confirmed that Wali was married with four children as he had claimed during his tense interaction with the officer.
The chief said “the impact on those children is unimaginable, and they’ll carry that with them the rest of their lives, so we take that very seriously.”
Davis credited the officer on the passenger’s side with saving the lives of the other responding officers.

“We also realize in this particular scenario that we’re very fortunate that we didn’t have two police funerals because it was just by — or thanks to, rather — some strategic thinking, actions by our police officer who you see on the passenger’s side of the car. His actions, his deployment of that deadly force, saved the lives of the two officers that were on the driver’s side of the car. There’s no doubt about that,” Davis told reporters.
FCPD said in a press release that Officer Ian Lachapelle, who fired his gun, was placed on restricted duty status as the investigation of the incident continues.
Tylenol murders revisited as suspect’s final interview before death emerges
James Lewis, the suspect in the 1982 Tylenol poisonings, gave a final interview attempting to clear his name. But some still wonder if he was the mastermind behind the murders that triggered a nationwide panic and got away with it.
In a span of three days beginning Sept. 29, 1982, seven people — including a 12-year-old girl — who took cyanide-laced Tylenol in the Chicago area died, sparking a national recall of the product. The poisonings led to the adoption of tamper-proof packaging for over-the-counter medications.
The case, which remains unsolved, is the subject of a new Netflix true crime docuseries, “Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders.” It features new interviews with loved ones of the victims, investigators, as well as Lewis, who died in 2023 at 76.
THE TYLENOL MURDERS: A LOOK BACK AT THE RASH OF 1982 DRUG STORE POISONINGS
Director Yotam Guendelman told Fox News Digital that during filming, they witnessed a side to Lewis that haunts them.
“For those two days, the vibe in the room was good,” Guendelman recalled. “We asked him the hard questions, and we talked about it. But there was a moment when we started asking harder questions, one after the other. We caught him in a few lies, and [he] then snapped for a couple of minutes.
“It became really scary. And for the first time, you can see someone who, even though I do think he tried not to do the worst in his life, when you put him in a corner, when he feels he’s up against the wall, he becomes scary for a second. And then he changed back to his sweet, weird self a few minutes later.”
“That really stood out,” Guendelman reflected. “I think that made us all understand that … he has this part in him that is completely uncontrollable and comes out of nowhere. … You see a person of duality. … But at the same time, we know that even though there are these tender parts of him, he’s capable of doing the worst.”
Lewis, who had a history of trouble with the law, always denied any role in the Tylenol deaths. In 2010, he gave DNA samples to the FBI and even created a website on which he said he was framed. While he lived in Chicago briefly in the ‘80s when the murders took place, Lewis said he and his wife were in New York City at the time of the poisonings.
FOLLOW THE FOX TRUE CRIME TEAM ON X
Director Ari Pines told Fox News Digital he was surprised Lewis agreed to give the interview on camera. But after sitting down with him, it was easy to see why.
“First of all, he loved the attention,” Pines claimed. “He was cautious, but our producer, Molly Forster, built this relationship with him for almost a year. She gained his trust bit by bit. And it worked. I think he also enjoyed the fact that we didn’t just look at him as this sensational character, which he is, but also as a human being.”
Guendelman said it took several months to convince Lewis to speak out for what turned out to be the last time.
“Molly took another approach; she was much more gentle,” he explained. “He built this trust with him. Even though he knew we were going to ask him the hard questions, we were also going to give him a chance to tell his story for the first time, from start to finish.”
In 1974, Lewis suffered a personal tragedy when his only daughter, 5-year-old Toni Ann Lewis, died from heart issues. One theory the documentary presented was that Lewis acted out in revenge against Johnson & Johnson, Tylenol’s parent company.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the sutures used to fix Toni’s congenital heart defect tore. They were made by Ethicon, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.
According to reports, the unknown killer bought Extra-Strength Tylenol from six different stores in the Chicago area and packed the capsules with large doses of deadly potassium cyanide. The individual then placed the bottles back on the shelves.

Lewis was in New York City when he was arrested in 1982 after a nationwide manhunt. He gave investigators a detailed account of how the killer behind the Tylenol murders might have operated. Lewis served more than 12 years in prison for sending an extortion note to manufacturer Johnson & Johnson demanding $1 million to “stop the killing.”
He admitted to sending the letter and demanding the money but said he never intended to collect it. Instead, he said he wanted to embarrass his wife’s former employer and had the money sent to the employer’s bank account.
During the investigation, the police discovered Lewis’s dark past. In 1978, he was charged in Kansas City, Missouri, with the dismemberment murder of Raymond West, 72, who had hired Lewis as an accountant. The charges were dismissed because West’s cause of death was not determined, and some evidence had been illegally obtained.
Lewis was convicted of six counts of mail fraud in a 1981 credit card scheme in Kansas City. He was accused of using the name and background of a former tax client to obtain 13 credit cards.
Police described Lewis as a “chameleon” who lived in several states, used at least 20 aliases and held many jobs, including computer specialist, tax accountant, importer of Indian tapestries and seller of jewelry, pharmaceutical machinery and real estate.
In 1983, Lewis was convicted of extortion and spent 12 years in federal prison, the New York Times reported. After Lewis was convicted, he offered to help prosecutors solve the Tylenol murders, the outlet reported. It noted that when he was a fugitive, he wrote several rambling letters to the Chicago Tribune disclaiming any connection and demanding capital punishment for “whoever poisoned those capsules.”

Following his release, he and his wife moved to Massachusetts in 1995. But his run-ins with the law didn’t end there.
Lewis was charged in 2004 with rape, kidnapping and other offenses for an alleged attack on a woman in Cambridge. He was jailed for three years while awaiting trial, but prosecutors dismissed the charges on the day his trial was scheduled to begin after the victim refused to testify, the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office said at the time.
“I think for the FBI, James Lewis is always the main suspect, and I can understand why,” said Pines. “… We’ve also managed to uncover a lot of evidence and documents, which were sealed from the original investigation, and we’re showing a lot of that in the series.
WATCH: TYLENOL MURDERS SUSPECT TELLS FBI THEY MISSED THE KILLER’S BIG BLUNDER
“But I will say there are also a lot of other documents that are still sealed, and the public is still not aware of. And we firmly believe that now is a good time… to unseal all the documents, and to show the public everything that this investigation found. Maybe that will bring us closer to finding out the truth.”
According to the docuseries, some investigators are adamant that Lewis will always remain a person of interest. Others aren’t convinced. The docuseries presents several other theories, including those supported by some of the loved ones.
Lewis previously told the Associated Press in 1992 that the account he gave the authorities was simply his way of explaining the killer’s actions. He called the murderer “a heinous, cold-blooded killer, a cruel monster.”

Guendelman believes there may have been more victims unaccounted for.
“After we talked with the coroner, the FBI agents, the prosecutors … that’s the theory,” he explained. “Cyanide, as we show in the series, served as a perfect crime because it dissolves so quickly. And if it wasn’t for one specific doctor who [realized] that these people were poisoned, and it was not a natural death, nobody would’ve known about it. … I do believe in this theory.
“That’s why we made this film. We’re not only doing this for the victims that we know about but also for the possible unnamed victims as well.”
Pines is hopeful that in his lifetime, especially with renewed interest in the case, we’ll find out who was definitively responsible for the mass murders.
“There are so many families here who never got the answer they wanted,” said Pines. “The truth is out there, and there’s someone out there who knows more. I hope that person will see this film, see the families and come forward. … I think every cold case needs closure.”
Expert urges caution after scientists claim mysterious UFO discovery
Scientists have made a remarkable discovery of a sphere that some believe to be an unidentified flying object (UFO).
The sphere, according to social media page @Truthpolex, was spotted March 2 flying over the town of Buga, Colombia, before it landed. Jose Luis Velazquez, one of the researchers studying the three-layered sphere, noted that it shows “no welds or joints,” characteristics normally indicative of human manufacture, which further bolstered his belief in its extraterrestrial origin.
Julia Mossbridge, the executive director of the Institute for Love and Time (TILT), and a member of the University of San Diego Department of Physics and Biophysics, told Fox News Digital she remains skeptical of its extraterrestrial origins.
“It looks to me like a really cool art project,” she said, urging caution in drawing immediate conclusions.
UFO FOOTAGE CAPTURED BY US NAVY SHOWS MYSTERIOUS AIRCRAFT LAUNCHING FROM SEA, EXPERT SAYS
Mossbridge framed the mysterious object as part of a “bigger picture” in which humanity must confront its own limitations.
“We are entering a time when we don’t have the control that we thought we had,” she said, noting that prior “grandiose” beliefs in total mastery blind us when “something shows up that doesn’t fit our model of the world.
“If an artist is doing this, why is that? Well, I think it’s partly the same reason. It’s because we’re learning that we don’t understand what’s in our skies, what’s in our waters. And there’s something going on that’s essentially bigger than us,” she said.
FORMER DEFENSE OFFICIAL MAKES EARTH-SHATTERING UFO REVELATION AS UNEXPLAINED DRONES LEAVE MILLIONS ON EDGE
She says sightings of unexplained objects have been around for decades.
“Frankly, we’ve been looking at UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) for decades, and the federal government has admitted that there are things that we don’t understand, but we are investigating them,” she said.
Mossbridge said the coalition of individuals working to find answers, such as the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, the UAP Disclosure Fund and the Galileo Project, are made of people of “all political persuasions.”
“They are all trying to get rigorous information themselves, not necessarily waiting on the federal government, about what’s going on in our skies, what’s going on in our waters and actually trying to get international cooperation around these things,” she said. “Because, for instance, the sphere in Colombia is in a different country. So, what are the rules about how we deal with something that’s interesting that’s found there?”
PENTAGON SOLVES ONE OF ITS HIGHEST-PROFILE UFO MYSTERIES
Mossbridge urged thorough vetting before declaring anomalies in mysterious discoveries.
“Before you decide something’s anomalous or a UFO, bring the object to a group like the Galileo Project,” she said.
She said experts can determine if the material is “clearly non-human-made.”

Despite her misgivings about the discovery in Buga, she said it doesn’t “discount all the other objects that are of extraterrestrial origin.”
Miley Cyrus was hospitalized after filming music video on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Miley Cyrus recently detailed how a glamorous music video shoot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame led her to the hospital.
Cyrus, 32, recalled the moment she filmed her “Something Beautiful” visual album and then landed in the ICU.
“I filmed this video in October [2024] by November at Thanksgiving, I was put in the ICU for a moment — just for a moment,” Cyrus said Thursday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer shared she had been rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her music video.
“I caught something,” she remarked. “My leg began to disintegrate… around the kneecap area. And then the doctor goes, ‘Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?”
Cyrus pointed out the fact that her doctor had probably seen the worst in a hospital. However, she said the surgeon was completely grossed out by her infection.

“I had to tell him,” she said. “To have a surgeon look at you and say, ‘Yuck…’ They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans and they’re looking at me, telling me I’m disgusting. And they do brain operations!”
She continued to explain how she shot her music video on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the middle of the night to avoid paying costly rental fees.

“I had a big dream and a small budget. Well, I had a pretty good budget, but I spent it all on my clothes,” Cyrus laughed.
“Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?” she quipped. “I thought it was my last day.”
The former Disney star’s comments come after she revealed another health scare she experienced earlier this year.
While recording the “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party,” which she co-hosted with Dolly Parton, Cyrus said she suffered an ovarian cyst rupture.

New mother marathoner faces threats after trans Olympic athlete’s TikTok attack
On April 19, U.S. Olympic middle distance runner Nikki Hiltz posted a TikTok video that included footage of an interview with women’s marathon runner Natalie Daniels. The post came just two days before Daniels was set to compete in the Boston Marathon, and just six months after she gave birth to her first child.
Hiltz’s TikTok opened with a clip of Daniels sharing how she considered not competing in the marathon because biologically male trans athletes would be competing in the women’s field. The clip was originally from a promotional interview with the activist sportswear brand XX-XY Athletics.
In the same post on the popular social media platform, Hiltz encouraged Daniels to drop out because of her concerns about trans inclusion, while disagreeing with the new mother’s stance against it.

For Hiltz, the post was in line with the athlete’s regular TikTok content, which often shows the Olympian promoting pro-transgender beliefs and arguing against opposition to trans inclusion in sports. Hiltz is a biologically female athlete who competes in the women’s category, while identifying as transgender and non-binary.
Soon after Hiltz’s TikTok post went live, the reaction from it was aimed at Daniels, who said many of Hiltz’s followers and fans began to send her startling messages.
“I didn’t think there would be this rabid cruelty,” Daniels told Fox News Digital of the response she received from the interview. “People were trying to find us when we were in Boston.”
Daniels alleges one person told her, “‘I live in Boston, and if I see you on the street, I’m going to hunt you down.'”
CALIFORNIA GIRLS’ TRACK ATHLETE OPENS UP ON LOSING 1ST-PLACE TITLE TO TRANS COMPETITOR
The new mother said the worst alleged comment she saw was from a person who said, “‘I hope that your son comes out as trans and never speaks to you again.'” Her son was only six months old at the time.
Daniels said she ultimately takes responsibility for the messages directed towards her and her family. Still, she cited Hiltz’s TikTok for contributing to the backlash.
“[Hiltz] has freedom of speech also. So [Hiltz’s] opinion is just as valid to be shared as mine is,” Daniels said. “I think [Hiltz] encouraged a pile-on that got really out of hand, probably, I think, very quickly … I think the fact that [Hiltz] didn’t do anything about it is unsurprising.
“I think I’m ultimately responsible for what I said. And I know that what I said was said out of love and a desire to continue supporting and encouraging women and women’s sports.”
Still, it didn’t make the experience any easier for Daniels.
“The very hateful messages were upsetting. There were a few times where I would just be, I don’t want to cry, but a few times I would just start crying,” she said. “And I would tell my husband, ‘I’m sorry, it’s just like a lot, it’s a lot to deal with, to have people being like ‘You’re this evil hateful bigot,’ or ‘You’re stupid.'”
“Instead of having this very rational engagement, they went straight to threats and violence.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Hiltz’s talent agency, Hawi Management, for a response.
When the day of the Boston Marathon came, April 21, Daniels was prepared for potential attacks and heckling against her on the course after getting messages warning her of it, she alleges. But instead, she only ever heard roaring chants of support, she claims. She even had one of her best finishes, reaching the finish line in 2:50:04 in 110th place.
The love continued on social media, as she saw an outpouring of praise and respect that eventually overshadowed the support she was getting for standing up for women’s sports and appearing in the XX-XY Athletics interview to begin with.
For Daniels, it helped validate a decision that she made, partially due to the experience of becoming a new mother. Daniels said that during her pregnancy, a trip to an obstetrician included a survey that assumed the only reason she was pregnant was due to failed birth control, and not her own intentions.
“In society, I just feel like there is this reductive definition of what it means to be a woman, and what it means to be a woman is basically one thing, and it’s access to abortion. And in our culture, that just kinda seems like that’s all any of us are supposed to care about,” Daniels, a native of Virginia, said. She added that the survey, and the growing cultural stigmatization of pregnancy, fed right into her passion for protecting female athletes from trans inclusion as well.
“I know those things may be different things, but it all ties into this dehumanization of women. To me it feels like in this culture, in this political climate, womanhood is this incredibly nebulous, undefinable thing,” she added.
The decision earned Daniels praise and support during the marathon and online but not from her running club, Light Horse Track Club in Washington, D.C., which she alleges was more aligned with Hiltz than her.
Daniels said she was confronted by the decision to appear in the XX-XY Athletics interview by the club’s leadership.
Daniels said she offered to make a statement clarifying that her stance wasn’t meant to attack trans people for their identities, but to stand up for women like herself. But that wasn’t going to be enough, she said.
She alleges they offered to let her continue running for the club if she would issue an apology and publicly recognize the ability for a biological male to become a woman, which she refused to do.
Daniels alleges that she was told by the club that in order to appease its directors, she had to share a statement on social media that read: “‘I now understand that a person can take hormones and surgery, and they can become a woman.'”
“I was like, ‘I am not going to do that. I cannot do that…’ It goes completely against my Christian values,” she said. “It goes completely against what I know about how God works.”

Daniels said she then found out about her removal from the team via a text message and email from the board while she was sitting on her patio.
So now, she is starting her own running club with XX-XY Athletics and founder Jennifer Sey.
And while she is still adjusting to the regular online hate, and even the occasional heckle from spectators at competitions, Daniels said she is looking forward to raising her family and embracing her new role in the movement to keep trans athletes out of women’s sports.
The Light Horse Track Club did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Fever coach unleashes after controversial no-call: ‘Disrespect has been unbelievable’
After a controversial no-call during a play involving Caitlin Clark Saturday, Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White lambasted WNBA referees for their officiating in Fever games this season.
In a rant after the Fever’s 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty, White called the officiating “egregious.”
New York’s Natasha Cloud made contact with Clark during the game’s final possession, but referees did not blow the whistle.
“I thought she got fouled. I think it’s pretty egregious what’s been happening to us the last few games,” White said of Clark. “The disrespect right now for our team has been pretty unbelievable. So, it’s disappointing, you know, that it doens’t go both ways, or it hasn’t gone both ways.”

White also acknowledged the league has a system in place for teams to communicate disagreements with referee decisions but questioned whether the system works.
“There’s a system to making sure that we can send stuff in and communicate our grievances, so to speak. I don’t know if I have a feeling that the system works,” she said.

Clark declined to give her opinion on the referee’s call on the final play.
“I don’t know. I have to go back and watch,” Clark said of the call.
During the game, Clark immediately looked to the officials for a foul and quickly began to shout at them when she realized no foul call was forthcoming. Her teammate, Sophie Cunningham, also approached the refs to protest the lack of a whistle.

A replay showed Cloud pushing her shoulder into Clark’s the moment the ball came loose. But the referees did not blow the whistle, and the game ended there.

Menendez brothers’ photobomb surges in value following discovery on NBA card
A 1990 basketball card of former NBA star Mark Jackson, which was photo-bombed by Erik and Lyle Menendez, skyrocketed in value following the infamous brothers’ 1996 conviction in their parents’ Beverly Hills, California, double murder.
The trading card featuring New York Knicks guard Mark Jackson, obtained by Fox News Digital, gained notoriety after eagle-eyed collectors noticed that the Menendez brothers were sitting in a pair of floor seats at the game.
The discovery of their presence on the card sparked significant interest among collectors and true crime aficionados. Previously valued at mere cents, the card’s price surged, with some listings reaching hundreds of dollars. However, eBay eventually removed listings that explicitly referenced the Menendez brothers, citing policies against items associated with violent crimes.
According to a TMZ report, some collectors are sending the card to the brothers in prison so it can be autographed.
GOV. NEWSOM DOING ‘POLITICAL CALCULUS’ AHEAD OF MENENDEZ BROTHERS RESENTENCING DECISION
Along with purchasing courtside seats for a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden during the 1989–1990 NBA season, the brothers lavishly spent their parents’ fortune following the August 1989 murders of Kitty and José Menendez.
In the months following the brutal murder of their parents, Erik and Lyle Menendez began living an extravagant lifestyle that starkly contrasted with their earlier claims of grief and trauma.
While the defense would later frame the spending as part of a psychological escape from years of alleged abuse, prosecutors alleged that the brothers’ crimes had been due to their efforts to gain access to the family’s fortune.
MENENDEZ BROTHERS RESENTENCING: TIMELINE OF KILLERS’ FIGHT OVER FREEDOM IN PARENTS’ MURDERS
Lyle, the older brother, indulged in high-end purchases, including designer clothing and a Porsche. He also invested heavily in a Princeton, New Jersey, restaurant called Chuck’s Spring Street Café.
In their 1995 trial, jewelry sales representative Mary Ellen Mahar testified that the brothers had come to her store just four days after the killings and spent about $15,000 on three Rolex watches.
Lyle rented upscale properties and lived in expensive hotels like the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Erik, too, spent the family’s money freely on luxury clothing, high-end accommodations and international trips.
He also tried to become a professional tennis player following the 1989 slayings. He hired a private coach, took lessons and traveled internationally to train and compete.
On March 8, 1990, when Lyle was arrested in connection with their parents’ murders, Erik was competing in a tennis tournament in Israel. He later turned himself in.

Diddy’s defense acknowledges violence to avoid harsh federal penalties: expert
Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ legal team admitted the Bad Boy Records founder committed “domestic violence” against a partner in documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
While his private life has become public in court during his trial for alleged sex crimes, Diddy’s lawyers are attempting to prove his personal escapades do not indicate federal crimes, according to experts.
In September, the “Last Night” singer was arrested and charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to a federal indictment. He has maintained his innocence. If found guilty, he faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars or a maximum sentence of life in prison.
CASSIE’S MOTHER’S TESTIMONY MAY PROVE TO BE ‘VERY DAMAGING’ TO DIDDY’S CASE: EXPERT
Throughout two weeks of testimony, jurors heard allegations of “freak off” parties involving male escorts and Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The “Me & U” singer testified that drugs, including ecstasy, ketamine and cocaine, were in regular circulation during the “freak offs” for her to disassociate during the sessions.
Cassie admitted that ecstasy made her feel euphoric and aroused, while ketamine would make her dissociative. She said cocaine made her heart race, mushrooms made her see things and GHB, also known as the date rape drug, made her feel drunk.
DIDDY TRIAL WITNESS REVEALS THREATS AND VIOLENCE THAT COULD SUPPORT RICO CHARGES: EXPERT
She also claimed it was commonplace for Diddy to become “physical” with her in their relationship. She defined “physical” as punishment, beatings and kicking.
Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer Dan Rubin explained how Diddy’s strategy seems to be to “admit to what is a lesser, state crime to avoid federal prison.”
“This is smart because while Diddy might admit that something unlawful happened, it’s not as bad as what the federal prosecutors are saying happened, and the federal government would have no ability to punish him at all, let alone with a higher prison sentence,” Rubin said.
WATCH ON FOX NATION: WHAT DIDDY DO?
“A domestic violence charge here wouldn’t be a federal crime because it’s not related to the breaking of any federal law, and it doesn’t affect federal interests.
“So, even if Diddy is convicted of a domestic violence charge (or charges) down the road, the federal court wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.”
Authorities allege Diddy ran a criminal enterprise through his businesses, including Bad Boy Entertainment, Combs Enterprises and Combs Global, among others. He used “firearms, threats of violence, coercion and verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse” to fulfill his sexual desires, according to prosecutors.
Cassie claimed Diddy raped her on the living room floor in 2018 then left. At the time, she had been dating Alex Fine, who is now her husband. Cassie admitted to seeing Combs again after the alleged rape, telling the jury they had been together for 10 years and had a connection. Diddy and Cassie dated on-and-off from 2007 until 2018.

The jury saw the video in full from the InterContinental Hotel incident and heard testimony from Cassie and a former hotel security guard, Israel Florez. The security guard claimed he responded to a call about a woman in distress and found a broken vase in the elevator lobby.
Cassie told Florez not to call the police and left the hotel on her own.

During the March 2024 raids on Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes, authorities allegedly seized various “freak off” supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.
“Members and associates of the Combs Enterprise, including high-ranking supervisors, security staff, household staff, personal assistants, and other Combs Business employees, facilitated the Freak Offs by, among other things, booking hotel rooms for the Freak Offs; stocking the hotel rooms in advance with the required Freak Off supplies, including controlled substances, baby oil, lubricant, extra linens, and lighting,” the indictment claimed.
The associates also cleaned hotel rooms after the “freak offs to “try to mitigate room damage;” arranged travel for victims, commercial sex workers and Diddy to and from the “freak offs;” and were responsible for “resupplying Combs with requested supplies.”

Kara Chrobak, shareholder at Buchalter in Denver, told Fox News Digital Diddy’s defense has also suggested it will be “relying on a mutual violence defense strategy to try to undermine or defend against any type of federal charges that have been brought against Diddy.”
“How this works is that the defense will use mutual violence, suggesting that not just Diddy was involved in the violence in the relationship as a means to undermine the intent element that is necessary for the federal prosecutors to prove their crime,” Chrobak said.
“Basically, the defense will say that Diddy lacked the mental state or the intent needed to commit the acts of violence he’s being charged with committing,” Chrobak added. “The other ways that this defense could be used is that it could be a manner to undermine the credibility of the witnesses testifying if they are successful in arguing that Diddy himself was not the sole perpetrator of the violence, but instead was part of or reacting to a violent situation rather than just acting violently himself.
“That type of defense could make it hard to prove intent. It could also make the witnesses testifying lose some credibility with the jurors because if they’re seen as being equal parts involved in the violent circumstances, it makes it a lot harder for the prosecutors to prove their case.

What stores have the best online Memorial Day sales?
This depends on what you’re looking for. If mattresses are what you’re looking for, stores like Purple, Mattress Firm and Nolah all have impressive sales. Other stores, like Amazon and Walmart, have stellar tech sales. If you’re looking for tools, hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s have some of the best sales.
