Secret Service altercation outside Obama’s DC home leads to suspension of officers
Two U.S. Secret Service officers have been suspended after reportedly fighting with each other in front of former President Barack Obama’s Washington D.C. mansion last week.
The two uniformed officers were outside Obama’s residence around 2:30 a.m. on May 21 when one called for a supervisor to come immediately before “I whoop this girl’s a**,” according to an audio recording posted online.

In addition to the audio, a video published Tuesday by RealClearPolitics shows the female officers punching and shoving each other.
“I need a supervisor out here… immediately before I whoop this girl’s a**,” one of the women said into the radio, the report states.

The Secret Service confirmed the fight with Fox News Digital.
“The individuals involved were suspended from duty and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation. The Secret Service has a very strict code of conduct for all employees and any behavior that violates that code is unacceptable.”
“Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further,” the spokesperson added.

Starship Flight 9 fails after issues with boosters and heat-shields doom mission
SpaceX’s ninth test flight of its Starship spacecraft, launched on May 27 from the company’s Starbase facility in Texas, ended in failure shortly after liftoff.
The mission aimed to deploy eight Starlink simulator satellites and test the vehicle’s reentry system with 100 removed heat-shield tiles.
Despite a successful launch and initial ascent, the spacecraft began spinning uncontrollably due to a fuel system leak, rendering the heat-shield test unfeasible.
SPACEX LAUNCH SCRUBBED HOURS AFTER HEGSETH SHARES MESSAGE TO RESCUE MISSION CREW: ‘WISH YOU GODSPEED’
Shortly after reaching space, the booster stage, critical for the spacecraft’s reentry, was lost during its return to the atmosphere. Additionally, the payload door failed to open during the flight.
Remaining parts of the ship which do not disintegrate from the heat of reentry are expected to land in the Indian Ocean, according to the company.
This marks another setback for SpaceX’s Starship program, which has faced challenges in previous tests. SpaceX has previously experienced issues with the Starship system, including an aborted flight earlier this year in April.
In a statement following the incident shared via X, SpaceX acknowledged the failure and emphasized the importance of learning from each test. “With a test like this, success comes from what we learn, and today’s test will help us improve Starship’s reliability as SpaceX seeks to make life multiplanetary,” the company said.
MSNBC HOSTS MOCK ELON MUSK AFTER SPACEX MISHAP: ‘GO BACK TO YOUR DAY JOB’
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified of the incident and is expected to conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the failure and assess any potential impact on future launches. No injuries or damage to property have yet been reported.
SpaceX has not yet announced a timeline for its next test flight but has indicated that the company will continue to refine the Starship system based on the data collected from this mission.
“Developmental testing by definition is unpredictable,” SpaceX stated on their website. “But by putting hardware in a flight environment as frequently as possible, we’re able to quickly learn and execute design changes as we seek to bring Starship online as a fully and rapidly reusable vehicle.”

Trump to issue pardon for Chrisleys after convictions for tax evasion and fraud
President Donald Trump said he plans to pardon Todd and Julie Chrisley, likely by Wednesday, after they were found guilty of fraud and tax evasion in 2022.
Todd and Julie, who became famous on the reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans as well as tax evasion and sentenced to 12 and seven years, respectively. Their sentences were later reduced.
“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” Trump told their daughter Savannah Chrisley and son Chase, in a phone call from the Oval Office on Tuesday that was posted onto an X account of a White House aide. The post was captioned in part, “Trump Knows Best!”
Savannah Chrisley has been advocating for their release since the pair went to prison in January 2023, and reached out to Trump for a pardon earlier this year after their conviction was upheld by a three-judge panel last summer.

“Thank you so much, Mr. President,” Savannah could be heard saying on the call. Chase, through tears, added, “I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back.”
Trump told Savannah and Chase to give their parents his “regards and wish them a good life.”
“They were given pretty harsh treatment based on what I’m hearing, pretty harsh treatment,” Trump said. “Congratulate your parents, and I hear they’re terrific people. This should not have happened.”

He continued, “They have good children — you’re no longer children, but I’ll say it anyway. They have good children, don’t they, huh?”
Standing behind Trump was Alice Marie Johnson, whose sentence on drug charges he commuted during his first term and whom he appointed as his pardon czar in February.
“Alice had a lot to do with this,” Trump told Savannah and Chase.
After the phone call with Trump, Savannah posted a video on her Instagram saying she got the call from the president that he was signing pardon papers for her parents while she was walking into a Sam’s Club.
“So, both of my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow and I still don’t believe it’s real!” she exclaimed.

She said she will be “forever grateful” to Trump and his administration as well as her lawyers and everyone else who “put in countless hours” to “make sure that my parents got home.”
“My parents get to start their lives over!” she added, saying she “vowed to stand next to you and your administration, exposing the corruption and continue fighting for the men and women who are in prison … Thank you, thank you, thank you and I will repay your kindness to every person that I meet, so thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump. Thank you, God, for a president who wants to restore families and loves people … and took the time to call me from the Oval Office to let me know my parents are getting their lives back.”
In July 2024, Savannah gave a speech at the Republican National Convention in which she alleged that her family had been “persecuted by rogue prosecutors in Fulton County.”

Prosecutors said the couple walked away from their responsibility for repayment when Todd Chrisley declared bankruptcy and left $20-plus million in unpaid loans.
A White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss decisions that hadn’t yet been made public, said the pardons would be forthcoming, The Associated Press reported.
The Chrisleys’ attorney, Alex Little, told Fox News Digital the pardon “corrects a deep injustice and restores two devoted parents to their family and community. President Trump recognized what we’ve argued from the beginning: Todd and Julie were targeted because of their conservative values and high profile. Their prosecution was tainted by multiple constitutional violations and political bias.”

He added, “Todd and Julie’s case is exactly why the pardon power exists. Thanks to President Trump, the Chrisley family can now begin healing and rebuilding their lives.”
The phone call with the president comes two weeks after Savannah was interviewed by Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump on Fox News.
Bill Maher slams liberal support for Hamas: ‘Are you f—— kidding me?’
Comedian Bill Maher trashed liberals in the United States who agree with the terror group Hamas on the topic of Israel.
During the latest episode of his “Club Random” podcast – featuring podcast host Tim Pool as his guest – the comedian marveled at how liberals could support the Israel-hating, radical Islamic terrorists.
“Most Muslim societies live under some form of sharia law, which no westerner who thinks that Hamas is so great could ever live under,” Maher said.
FATAL SHOOTING OF ISRAELI EMBASSY WORKERS IN DC SPARKS OUTRAGE FROM TRUMP, ISRAELI PRESIDENT
The fact that some anti-Israel agitators on American college campuses have expressed support for the group that killed around 1,500 people in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, or have echoed its slogans calling for the destruction of Israel, perplexed the HBO “Real Time” host.
He mentioned the irony of westerners endorsing the terror group and the “Islamists” he alleged are supportive of Hamas’ war against the Jewish nation.
“That’s what’s so ironic about liberals being so supportive of Hamas, is because you’re liberals and these are the people – I’m sorry, but this ideology, Islam, even in its more benign forms – yes, I agree, the vast majority of Muslims – not terrorists, of course. But Islamists, which is the word we use to describe people who are not terrorists, but kind of agree with the things terrorists are doing, that’s a much higher number.”
FBI INVESTIGATING KILLING OF ISRAELI EMBASSY EMPLOYEES AS POSSIBLE HATE CRIME
“That’s many millions of people,” he added.
Maher’s statements come less than a week after two staffers at the Israeli Embassy in D.C. were murdered while exiting an event at the Capital Jewish Museum.
The suspect, 31-year-old Chicago resident Elias Rodriguez, yelled, “Free, free Palestine,” as he was arrested by law enforcement.
Maher continued, noting that the “fundamental rights” liberals have in America would not exist in Gaza or in other Islamic countries.

“You know, I mean all the protesters who are protesting in Gaza against Hamas? They’ve all been killed. They killed protesters, women – I mean, do I have to say anything more than just — if it was just that issue, how women are treated? Are you f—— kidding me?” he asked.
Maher admitted that one of his main points of disagreement with the “far left” came from his views on Islam.
“One of the main reasons why the far left started to really hate me is because I call out Islam as what it is, extremely illiberal,” he told Pool.
Maher ripped the Democratic Party earlier this month for not doing enough to squash the anti-Israel movement within its ranks.
“If the thought leaders in the Democratic Party keep encouraging and not rebuking that America is cringe and the people who run Gaza are great, the Democrats are doomed,” he said.

Lara Trump reveals story behind CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s ‘a little bit too late’ apology
Since releasing the damning book on the Biden presidency “Original Sin” earlier in May, CNN anchor Jake Tapper has faced scrutiny for his past coverage of former President Joe Biden’s alleged decline in office.
Although Tapper has admitted to insufficiently reporting on Biden’s health concerns, the CNN anchor went on to apologize to Fox News host Lara Trump, whom he previously rebuked for raising concerns in 2020.
While Trump does “appreciate” the apology, she said “it feels a little bit too late.”
“Jake Tapper saying that this is like a Watergate-level type of situation, now that he played a role in it, it feels a little bit too late to me. I do appreciate that he did keep his word, though, and has come out and said that I was right,” Trump said Tuesday on “The Ingraham Angle.”
TAPPER CLAIMS BIDEN DECLINE COVER-UP ‘MAYBE EVEN WORSE THAN WATERGATE’
Trump said Tapper called her about two months ahead of the release of “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.” During the call, he told Trump he would apologize on TV for his exchange with Trump in October 2020 on CNN.
During an October 2020 episode of “State of the Union,” Trump raised concerns about then-candidate Biden’s mental acuity, but Tapper quickly rebuked her for her comments.
“I think you were mocking his stutter,” Tapper said, in part, at the time. “And I think you have absolutely no standing to diagnose somebody’s cognitive decline.”
Five years later, Tapper admitted Trump was “right,” reiterating the admission during an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” this week.
“Knowing what we know now, and looking back on that interview, which I feel tremendous humility about, she [Lara Trump] was right, and I was wrong. I did not see, in the moments he was having, I did not see that as cognitive decline,” Tapper said during Monday’s show, claiming that the Biden cover-up was “worse” than the Watergate scandal.

While Tapper has been vocal about his prior reporting, Trump argued he cannot “discount his role” in the unfolding Biden presidency scandal.
“No matter how much he wants to come out now and say, ‘You know what, we’re going to start calling the shots like we see them actually now.’ It’s too late,” Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
“You can’t do this time and time again to people and continue to lie to people in the way they did and think that you’re going to get any different result. It’s the reason Donald Trump is in the White House right now,” she continued.
State Department warns Americans of terror threat in popular European vacation spot
As summer approaches and many Americans plan to jet-set across the country and world on vacation, the U.S. Department of State is warning travelers to take caution while visiting a popular destination.
On May 23, the department reissued a level 2 travel advisory for travel to Italy, urging travelers to “exercise increased caution” due to “terrorism.”
“There is risk of terrorist violence, including terrorist attacks and other activity in Italy,” the warning read.
The advisory warns that terrorists “may attack with little or no warning” and encourages Americans to be aware of common targets, including tourist spots, transportation centers, shopping malls and markets, local government buildings, hotels, clubs, restaurants, religious sites, parks, sports and cultural events, schools, airports and public areas.

The travel advisory also emphasized the importance of “staying alert in tourist spots” and “to check local media for breaking news.”
“Be prepared to adjust your plans and prepare a contingency plan for emergency situations,” the advisory read.
The department is also encouraging travelers to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive messages and alerts from the U.S. Embassy, stating it “makes it easier to locate you in an emergency.”
US WARNS AMERICAN TRAVELERS ABOUT CARIBBEAN ISLAND’S INCREASED DANGER OF ‘TERRORISM AND KIDNAPPING’
The warning comes as concerns over potential attacks in popular tourist destinations and public areas heighten in Italy, which remains one of the top European destinations for American tourists.
In May, the State Department issued travel advisories for 21 countries worldwide, ranging from the lowest level 1, which alerts travelers to “Exercise Normal Precautions,” to the highest advisory at level 4, which means “Do Not Travel.”
Italy has been under a level 2 advisory since April 2022, according to the State Department.
France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom also currently have level 2 advisories from the State Department.
FBI ISSUES SPRING BREAK TRAVEL WARNING AFTER AMERICAN COLLEGE STUDENT’S DISAPPEARANCE
The State Department said they review travel advisories on a regular basis and would update alerts “any time conditions change substantially.”
Level 1 and 2 advisories are reviewed every 12 months, while levels 3 and 4 are reviewed at least every six months, the department added.
A State Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital that there is “no higher priority than the safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas.”
“We take seriously our commitment to provide U.S. citizens with clear, timely, and reliable information about every country in the world so they can make informed travel decisions,” a State Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “The Department of State routinely updates our Travel Advisories and destination information pages based on a comprehensive review of all available safety information and ongoing developments.”

Melania Trump shuts down rumors about real reason for president’s feud with Harvard
A spokesperson for first lady Melania Trump shut down a “completely false” theory that her husband, the president, is warring with Harvard University because her son, Barron, was supposedly not accepted to the school.
The Palm Beach Post first reported that first lady spokesperson Nicholas Clemens said, “Barron did not apply to Harvard, and any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false.”
This comes amid online rumors that President Donald Trump is targeting Harvard with federal funding cuts because Barron, who just finished his freshman year at New York University, was supposedly rejected by the school.
The Trump administration is asking all federal agencies to find ways to terminate all federal contracts with Harvard amid an ongoing standoff over foreign students’ records at the Ivy League school. Harvard has already sued in federal court seeking the restoration of about $3.2 billion in federal grant funding frozen by the administration since last month.
HARVARD FOREIGN STUDENTS FACE UNCERTAIN FUTURE AMID TRUMP CAMPUS CRACKDOWNS
In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump accused Harvard of being “very antisemitic” and said he was considering giving the school’s federal funding to trade schools “all across our land.”
“What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!” he wrote.
In a letter Thursday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem informed Harvard’s leadership that the university had lost its “privilege” of enrolling foreign students as a result of the institution’s “refusal to comply with multiple requests to provide the Department of Homeland Security with pertinent information while perpetuating an unsafe campus environment that is hostile to Jewish students, promotes pro-Hamas sympathies, and employs racist ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ policies.”
On Friday, Judge Allison Burroughs, a President Barack Obama appointee, granted Harvard a temporary restraining order, preventing the government from revoking the Ivy League school’s certification in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. The program permits the university to host international students with F-1 or J-1 visas to study in the U.S.

“We are still waiting for the Foreign Student Lists from Harvard so that we can determine, after a ridiculous expenditure of BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, how many radicalized lunatics, troublemakers all, should not be let back into our Country,” Trump wrote.
“Harvard is very slow in the presentation of these documents, and probably for good reason!” he wrote. “The best thing Harvard has going for it is that they have shopped around and found the absolute best Judge (for them!) – But have no fear, the Government will, in the end, WIN!”

Kamala Harris warns world situation resembles 1930s era in leaked video
Leaked video shows former Vice President Kamala Harris warning that the state of the world is eerily similar to the 1930s.
In a rare appearance since leaving the White House, videos have surfaced of Harris at a Q&A during the 2025 Australian Real Estate Conference (AREC 2025). Toward the end of the Q&A, the host noted his admiration for former President Barack Obama, asking Harris what has made him so successful.
“I think one of the very special aspects of who he is, is he really is a student of history and that gets back to my earlier point about, for each of us, understanding the context in which we exist,” she said in the footage leaked online. It’s critically important, because coupled with the enthusiasm that comes with ambition and optimism, we must be the clear-eyed focus of understanding where we’ve been.”

The former vice president then argued, as a “student of history” herself, that the world’s current state echoes one of the darkest parts of the 20th century.
“I do worry, frankly, about what’s happening right now in our world,” she said. “I do worry that it is important that we remember history. It’s important we remember the 1930s. It’s important that we remember that history has taught us that isolation does not equal insulation.”
Harris went on to argue, “It is important that we understand and remember history which taught us the interdependence and interconnection between nations. History that has taught us the importance of relationships of trust, the importance of friendships, integrity, honesty.”

She added, “There is so much about foreign affairs that is just like the importance of having good friendships, consistency, honesty, being there for each other when you need them, holding up standards, international rules and norms.”
