General Situation
An easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, an upper-air disturbance and a trough of low pressure are bringing showers to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coastal areas. Locally, showers in the afternoon brought more than 20 millimetres of rainfall to Lantau Island and the western part of the New Territories.
Forecast Description
Cloudy with a few showers. Isolated thunderstorms at first. Temperatures will range between 25 and 28 degrees. Moderate easterly winds, occasionally fresh offshore.
Still one or two showers on Friday. Sunny periods in the following couple of days. Very hot during the day early next week.

Thunderstorm Warning issued at 3:43 p.m. on 4 Jun 2025 has been extended until 8:30 p.m. today. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to occur over Southern Waters and Islands of Hong Kong.
Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when thunderstorms occur:
1. Seek safe shelter if you are staying outdoors.
2. Leave the water. Do not swim outdoors or engage in other outdoor water sports.
3. Do not stand on high grounds. Keep away from highly conductive objects, trees or masts.
