President fires back at judges after sudden return of deported MS-13 suspect
President Donald Trump responded to the sudden return of Salvadoran illegal and alleged gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, saying, “he’s a bad guy” and that the courts will “show how horrible this guy is.”
Trump appeared unbothered by Abrego Garcia’s return on Friday afternoon, telling reporters aboard Air Force One that the Department of Justice made the decision and that soon the world will see how “horrible” a person he is.
Trump expressed confidence in the DOJ and its case against Abrego Garcia.
“The DOJ made a decision,” he said, adding, “I think their decisions have been very, very good.”
‘THE FIVE’: DEMS, LIBERAL MEDIA HAVE SOME ‘BIG QUESTIONS TO ANSWER’ AFTER KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA CHARGED
“Maybe they just said, ‘Look, all of these people, these judges, they want to try and run the country.’ A local judge trying to run the country,” said Trump. “The man has a horrible past, and I could see a decision being made, bring him back, show everybody how horrible this guy is.”
The president said, “Frankly, we have to do something because the judges are trying to take the place of a president that won in a landslide. That’s not supposed to be the way it is. So, I can see bringing him back. I could see. He’s a bad guy.
The Trump administration deported Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old illegal alien who was living in Maryland, to a high-security prison in his home country back in March on the grounds that he is a member of the violent MS-13 gang.
Soon after his deportation, Democrats jumped to advocate for Abrego Garcia’s release and return to the U.S., arguing that he was a wrongly deported “Maryland man.”
DEM IMMIGRATION TALKING POINTS FIZZLE AS DARK PICTURE OF ABREGO GARCIA EMERGES
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Friday that Abrego Garcia, 29, has landed in the United States and is set to face federal charges for human smuggling and conspiracy.
“Abrego Garcia has landed in the United States to face justice,” Bondi said. “A grand jury in the Middle District of Tennessee returned a sealed indictment charging him with alien smuggling and conspiracy.”
According to the indictment, Garcia played a “significant role” in a human smuggling ring operating for nearly a decade. Bondi described him as a full-time smuggler who made more than 100 trips, transporting women, children, and MS-13 gang-affiliated persons throughout the United States.
Fox News Digital obtained Tennessee Highway Patrol bodycam footage from a 2022 traffic stop where troopers pulled over Garcia for speeding. Inside his vehicle were eight other men, raising immediate suspicions. “He’s hauling these people for money,” one trooper said.

Troopers found $1,400 in cash and flagged Garcia in the National Crime Information Center, which returned a gang/terrorism alert. ICE was called but never responded.

Though Democrats have also pushed a narrative that Abrego Garcia is a “family man,” court records show Abrego Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, filed a protective order against her husband in August 2020. The order said their shared son and stepchildren needed protection from Abrego Garcia, accusing him of verbal and physical abuse against her and mental abuse against her children.
Senator Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., who led the charge among Democrats to push for Abrego Garcia’s return, released a statement after news of the return broke, saying, “For months the Trump Administration flouted the Supreme Court and our Constitution. Today, they appear to have finally relented to our demands for compliance with court orders and with the due process rights afforded to everyone in the United States.”
Olympic champion suggests ‘transgender category’ in fiery exchange with Gaines
Simone Biles took offense to OutKick contributor Riley Gaines calling out a Minnesota high school whose softball team won a state championship Friday with a transgender pitcher.
Marissa Rothenberger, a transgender athlete, tossed a shutout to continue a dominant postseason and give Champlin Park High School a state championship.
The Minnesota State High School League posted a photo of the team on social media after the game, and Gaines noted the comments on X were turned off.

“To be expected when your star player is a boy,” Gaines wrote.
Biles, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, saw the post and told Gaines she was “truly sick.”
“All of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,” Biles wrote to Gaines, who competed against trans swimmer Lia Thomas in 2022.
“You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!”
In another post, Biles added, “bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.”
“This is actually so disappointing. It’s not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces. You can uplift men stealing championships in women’s sports with YOUR platform. Men don’t belong in women’s sports and I say that with my full chest,” Gaines responded.
Gaines added in a separate post, “My take is the least controversial take on the planet. Simone Biles being a male-apologist at the expense of young girls’ dreams? Didn’t have that on my bingo card. Maybe she could compete in pommel horse and rings in 2028.”
“And the subtle hint at ‘body-shaming’ ???? Plzzzz I’m 5’5,” Gaines also said in response to the personal attack.
Biles did not go as far as saying transgender athletes belong in competition against girls and women. When an X user told Biles “there is a reason they have rings in men’s gymnastics, and not women’s,” Biles questioned the users “comprehension skills.”
“Can you even read? I see we are lacking comprehension skills as well…..” Biles wrote. Biles did recommend a transgender category in her first post to Gaines.

Mystery solved? Archaeologists find proof of Roanoke colonists’ fate
A team of researchers believes they may have cracked one of America’s most enduring legends: Where did the settlers of the Roanoke Colony go?
The Roanoke Colony, also known as the Lost Colony, was the first permanent English settlement in the United States. A group of over 100 colonists settled on North Carolina’s Roanoke Island in 1587, led by Sir Walter Raleigh.
John White, the governor of the colony, returned to England for supplies in 1587. When he came back to Roanoke Island in August 1590, he found the settlement mysteriously abandoned – and all the colonists, including his daughter Eleanor Dare and his granddaughter Virginia Dare, gone.
DIVERS UNCOVER MYSTERIOUS 2,500-YEAR-OLD SHIPWRECK, FILLED WITH UNUSUAL ARTIFACTS, OFF COAST OF SICILY
One of the only clues remaining at the site was the word “CROATOAN” carved into a palisade. It either referred to Croatoan Island, which is now called Hatteras Island, or the Croatoan Indians.
The mystery has haunted Americans and Brits for the past four centuries, with several investigations launched into the matter. Whether the colonists were killed by Native Americans, starved to death or left for greener pastures has eluded historians.
But new research suggests the colonists’ fate may not have been tragic after all.
Mark Horton, an archaeology professor at Royal Agricultural University in England, spoke with Fox News Digital about his findings.
“This is metal that has to be raised to a relatively high temperature … which, of course, [requires] technology that Native Americans at this period did not have.”
For the past decade, the British researcher has worked with the Croatoan Archaeological Society’s Scott Dawson to uncover the mystery. Horton said they’ve uncovered proof the colonists assimilated into Croatoan society, thanks to a trash heap. (See the video at the top of this article.)
EXPERTS SHOCKED BY ANCIENT KING ARTHUR MANUSCRIPT FOUND TUCKED INSIDE BOOK: ‘SURVIVED THE CENTURIES’
“We’re looking at the middens — that’s the rubbish heaps — of the Native Americans living on Hatteras Island, because we deduced that they would have very rapidly been assimilated into the Native American population,” Horton said.
The smoking gun at the site? Hammerscale, which are tiny, flaky bits of iron that come from forging iron.
Horton said it’s definitive proof of iron-working on Hatteras Island, which could have only been done by English colonists.
“The key significance of hammerscale … is that it’s evidence of iron-working, of forging, at that moment,” he said.
“Hammerscale is what comes off a blacksmith’s forge.”
ARCHAEOLOGIST SHEDS NEW LIGHT ON ASTONISHING DISCOVERY OF WRECKED SLAVE SHIPS: ‘STRANDED ON THE COAST’
Horton added, “This is metal that has to be raised to a relatively high temperature … which, of course, [requires] technology that Native Americans at this period did not have.”
Hammerscale shows that the English “must have been working” in this Native American community, according to the expert.
But what if the hammerscale came longer after the Roanoke Colony was abandoned? Horton said that’s unlikely.
“We found it stratified … underneath layers that we know date to the late 16th or early 17th century,” he said. “So we know that this dates to the period when the lost colonists would have come to Hatteras Island.”
“It’s a combination of both its archaeological position but also the fact that it’s evidence of people actually using an English technology.”
At the site, archaeologists also found guns, nautical fittings, small cannonballs, an engraved slate and a stylus, in addition to wine glasses and beads – which all paint a vivid picture of life on Hatteras Island in the 17th century.
When asked if the colonists could have been killed in a later war, Horton said they survived among the Croatoans and successfully assimilated.
“We have one little snippet of historical evidence from the 1700s, which describes people with blue or gray eyes who could remember people who used to be able to read from books,” he said. “Also, they said there was this ghost ship that was sent out by a man called Raleigh.”

Horton added, “We think that they assimilated into the Native American community and their descendants, their sons, their granddaughters, their grandsons carried on living on Hatteras Island until the early 18th century.”
When asked if he’s officially solved the mystery, Horton said that though the archaeological evidence is definitive, the legend will probably still endure.
“Have we solved the mystery? Well, you know, it’s pretty good evidence, but there’s always more work to be done,” he said.

Horton added, “And people love mysteries. They hate resolving things one way or the other. So I’m sure that the mystery will continue, you know, whatever the scientific evidence says.”
Massive teen beach party turns violent as police forced to shut down ‘Senior Cut Day’
A group of around 500 teenagers was dispersed by police after gathering at a beach in New York for “Senior Cut Day” that descended into chaos.
Somewhere around 500 teenagers went to Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York, after a flyer promoting “Senior Cut Day” spread on social media, drawing people to the beach. According to News 12, police had to break up the crowd.
Witnesses told the outlet that the beach quickly spiraled out of control once the massive number of teenagers arrived.

The Nassau County Police Department said one individual was arrested for disorderly conduct and menacing.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is back in the United States, but he can hardly be thrilled about it. He has been returned not for a removal hearing, but for a trial that could result in a lengthy prison sentence, followed by immediate removal back to El Salvador. After the issuance of the federal grand jury, the United States is likely the last place on Earth that Abrego Garcia wanted to visit.
Abrego Garcia had been fighting to return after he was mistakenly removed to El Salvador. That immediately drew irate orders from a federal judge, and many of us argued that the Trump administration should have simply brought him back for what seemed an easy case for removal after a hearing.
KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA INDICTED ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING CHARGES, ORDERED TO APPEAR BEFORE JUDGE IN NASHVILLE
Instead, the case dragged on for months after the Trump administration challenged the court orders as judicial overreach and unconstitutional. The indictment issued by a federal grand jury allows the administration to end the controversy on its terms. Rather than yielding to the challenged orders, it simply brought Abrego Garcia back to stand trial.
It is an example of the old adage “one day on the cover of “Time,” next day doing time.” Sometimes notoriety can be your undoing.
If Abrego Garcia had been removed, little attention would likely have been drawn to his prior conduct. Indeed, as all the Democratic politicians, such as Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., arrived in El Salvador with an army of reporters, one has to wonder if Abrego Garcia was having second thoughts about his challenge.
While news organizations like NPR described Abrego Garcia as a family man “living quietly” in Maryland, the facts proved far more damning. He was repeatedly accused of beating his wife. The court record also included allegations of his involvement in a notorious gang:
“Per the Prince George’s County Police Gang Unit, ABREGO-Garcia was validated as a member of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS13) Gang. Subject was identified as a member of the Mara Salvatrucha MS-13, “Chequeo” from the Western Clique a transnational criminal street gang. This information was provided by tested source who has provided truthful accurate information in the past. See Prince Georges County Police Department (Gang Sheet).”
MS-13 is designated as a terrorist organization.
Abrego Garcia was also suspected of human trafficking. Indeed, the description of the stop leaves one astonished that he was allowed to drive away. According to DHS:
“On Dec. 1, 2022, Abrego Garcia was stopped by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for speeding. Upon approach to the vehicle, the encountering officer noted eight other individuals in the vehicle. There was no luggage in the vehicle, leading the encountering officer to suspect this was a human trafficking incident. Additionally, all the passengers gave the same home address as the subject’s home address. During the interview, Abrego Garcia pretended to speak less English than he was capable of and attempted to put the encountering officer off-track by responding to questions with questions. When asked what relationship he had with the registered owner of the vehicle, Abrego Garcia replied that the owner of the vehicle is his boss, and that he worked in construction…
The encountering officer decided not to cite the subject for driving infractions but gave him a warning citation for driving with an expired driver’s license. Abrego Garcia’s driver’s license was a MD “Limited Term Temporary” license. The encountering officer gathered names of other occupants in the vehicle but could not read their handwriting. The officer did not pursue further information due to no citation being issued.”
The videotape mystified many with how Abrego Garcia was allowed to go along his way. Here was an undocumented immigrant stopped with an expired license in a car with eight others traveling from Texas to Maryland. He gave a false statement, and the officer suspected human trafficking but let him go.
It is alleged that the person whom Abrego Garcia described as his “boss” at a construction job was Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, an illegal migrant previously convicted of human smuggling. The black 2001 Chevrolet Suburban belonged to Hernandez Reyez.

Now, the indictment details a broader array of evidence. The grand jury found evidence of extensive human trafficking violations over nine years. The indictment speaks of cooperating witnesses prepared to implicate Abrego Garcia in an international smuggling operation involving guns, narcotics, and humans that included over a one hundred such transports.
“Over the course of the conspiracy the coconspirators knowingly and unlawfully transported thousands of undocumented aliens who had no authorization to be present in the United States and many of whom were MS 13 members and associates The co conspirators also worked with transnational criminal organizations in Mexico to transport undocumented aliens through Mexico and into the United States.”

Ironically, in light of this indictment, any criminal defense attorney worth his salt would have opposed deportation to the United States from El Salvador. Instead, Abrego Garcia will face a much longer possible criminal sentence. He will eventually then be deported to El Salvador regardless of the outcome of the criminal prosecution. Abrego Garcia never had a compelling basis for remaining in the United States. He gamed the system for years, a system that seems utterly incapable of dealing with this national emergency.
He will get due process, but make no mistake about it. Abrego Garcia back in the U.S., but it’s no homecoming.

Medicaid reform in President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” has drawn a partisan line through Congress.
Democrats have railed against potential Medicaid cuts since Trump was elected, while Republicans have celebrated Medicaid reform through the reconciliation process as an efficient way to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse in the welfare program.
Fox News Digital asked lawmakers from both ends of the political spectrum to react to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act’s Medicaid reform. The results were as expectedly divided.
“This is all B.S., what the Democrats are doing,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., told Fox News Digital. “They’re pushing the agenda that we’re cutting 10 million people off Medicaid. It’s people that actually shouldn’t be on it, illegals that shouldn’t be on it. We’re reforming it.”
GOP RAILS AGAINST ‘BLATANTLY FALSE’ DEM CLAIMS ABOUT MEDICAID REFORM IN TRUMP’S ‘BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL’
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO), a nonpartisan federal agency that has been ridiculed by Republicans, estimated this week that Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” would leave 10.9 million people without health insurance, including 1.4 million who are in the country without legal status in state-funded programs.
But Republicans are holding firm in their defense of Medicaid reform, which Republicans say only cuts benefits to illegal immigrants, those ineligible to receive benefits who are currently receiving benefits, duplicate enrollees in one or more states and those who are able but choosing not to work.
The people who would not continue to get Medicaid benefits under this bill were not qualified to get them in the first place,” Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., told Fox News Digital.
TRUMP’S ‘BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL’ FACES RESISTANCE FROM REPUBLICAN SENATORS OVER DEBT FEARS
Democrats continue to sound off on the healthcare threat of eliminating 10 million people from Medicaid. Not a single House Democrat voted to pass Trump’s championed legislation, which includes fulfilling key campaign promises like cutting taxes, immigration reform and American energy production.
“These burdensome regulatory requirements for proving that somebody has obtained or sought work are going to mean millions of people will go without healthcare, and the restrictions on food assistance are equally an obstacle to people meeting their everyday needs,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said.
Blumenthal added he is “very, very concerned about these seemingly cruel and unproductive ways of raising money simply to finance tax cuts” for “wealthy billionaires.”
New Jersey Democratic Sen. Andy Kim said he is happy to have an “honest conversation” about government efficiency and saving taxpayer dollars, but that’s not the reality of this bill.
“People are struggling, and I feel like, in the richest, most powerful country in the world, we should be able to make sure that people can have the basic needs they need to be able to survive,” Kim said of Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., told Fox News Digital there is “nothing beautiful” about Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
“This is horrific, and it adds massive amounts to our debt, compromising our ability to [fund] the fundamentals in the future, foundations for families to thrive — health care, housing, education, good-paying jobs. That’s what we should be doing here, not doing massive tax cuts for billionaires and paying for them by tearing down programs for ordinary families,” Merkley said.

The national debt stands at more than $36.2 trillion as of June 5, according to the Fox Business, based on data from the Treasury Department.
The CBO’s report this week also estimated Trump’s bill will cut taxes by $3.7 trillion while raising deficits by $2.4 trillion over a decade.
ICE arrests in Los Angeles spark protests and political backlash
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out operations at businesses across Los Angeles on Friday, sparking protests and clashes outside at least one location, which resulted in authorities throwing flash bangs in an effort to disperse the crowd.
The Associated Press reported that immigration advocates confirmed nearly 45 people were arrested across seven locations. The locations included two Home Depot stores, a store in the fashion district and a doughnut shop, according to Angelica Salas, the executive director of the Coalition of Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), who spoke at an afternoon news conference to denounce the actions.
David Huerta, the president of SEIU California, a major labor union, was arrested and charged for impeding a federal agent while protesting, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
“Let’s be clear: ICE injured and detained the president of SEIU California for peacefully observing,” SEIU California wrote on X. “ICE picked the wrong side. The wrong state. The wrong person. and the wrong union. David Huerta stood up. And 750,000 SEIU workers are standing with him.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, responded that Huerta is a “respected leader, a patriot, and an advocate for working people” and that “no one should ever be harmed for witnessing government action.”
Videos of the operations taken by bystanders and TV news crews showed people being escorted across a Home Depot parking lot by federal agents. The videos also captured clashes between protesters and federal agents at detention sites.
KTLA shared aerial footage of agents outside a clothing store in the fashion district escorting individuals out of a building and toward two large white vans. The individuals were detained and had their hands tied behind their backs. Before being placed into the vans, agents were seen patting the detained individuals down.
One man has already been sent back to Mexico after being picked up at a Home Depot on Friday morning, Yliana Johansen-Mendez, chief program officer for the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, told The Associated Press. The man’s family contacted the organization, and one of their attorneys was waiting for hours to speak to him inside the detention center. Authorities later said he had already been removed, and the man contacted his family to say he was back in Mexico.
Agents executing the operations wore vests bearing FBI, ICE and HSI (Homeland Security Investigations).
In one video, officers were seen throwing smoke bombs and flash bangs onto the street to get people to disperse, so the authorities could drive away in vans, SUVs and military-style vehicles.
TRUMP DHS ISSUES WARNING AFTER ANTI-ICE PROTESTERS ATTEMPT TO DISRUPT ARREST
Dozens of protesters gathered Friday evening outside a federal detention center in Los Angeles, chanting “set them free, let them stay!” Other protesters held signs that said “ICE out of LA!” while others led chants and shouted from megaphones.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the operations executed in Los Angeles on Friday.
HSI spokesperson Yasmeen Pitts O’Keefe told the Los Angeles Times that federal agents were executing search warrants relating to the harboring of people illegally in the country.
At the warehouse in the fashion district, agents had a search warrant after a judge found there was probable cause that the employer was using fictitious documents for some of its workers, U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson Ciaran McEvoy told The Associated Press.
Still, local and state officials raised issues with the federal agencies’ actions on Friday.
“Our community is under attack and is being terrorized. These are workers, these are fathers, these are mothers, and this has to stop,” Salas said while being surrounded by a crowd holding signs protesting ICE. “Immigration enforcement that is terrorizing our families throughout this country and picking up our people that we love must stop now.”
CALIFORNIA HOME OF SUSPECT ACCUSED OF DOXXING ICE AGENTS RAIDED AND SEARCHED
While police were spotted on the scene, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chief Jim McDonnell said his officers were not involved in civil immigration enforcement.
“Today the LAPD became aware that federal law enforcement agencies conducted activities in the City of Los Angeles. I’m aware that these actions cause anxiety for many Angelenos, so I want to make it clear: the LAPD is not involved in civil immigration enforcement,” the chief said in a statement posted on X. “While the LAPD will continue to have a visible presence in all our communities to ensure public safety, we will not assist or participate in any sort of mass deportations, nor will the LAPD try to determine an individual’s immigration status.”
McDonnell also said a policy in place since 1979 has barred police officers from initiating law enforcement action simply to determine a person’s immigration status.
Instead, he added, the LAPD remains focused on initiatives that improve the quality of life for all city residents, regardless of immigration status.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement on X that as a mayor of a “proud city of immigrants,” who she said contributes to the city in many ways, she was “deeply angered” by the actions taken by federal agencies in LA on Friday.
“These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city,” Bass said. “We will not stand for this.”
Bass also spoke to reporters on Friday, saying, “We are gonna fight for all Angelenos, regardless of when they got here, whether they have papers or not. We are a city of immigrants and this impacts hundreds of thousands of Angelenos.”
Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., called the ICE raids across Los Angeles a continuation of a “disturbing pattern of extreme and cruel” immigration enforcement operations across the U.S.

“These indiscriminate raids prove once again that the Trump administration cares about nothing but instilling harm and fear in our communities to drive immigrants into the shadows,” he said in a statement shared on X. “It will not work. This fearmongering is not going to change the fact that immigrants are valued members of our communities who contribute to our society and economy, and my office will demand accountability for today’s actions.”

Executives from Jack Daniel’s parent company, Brown-Forman Corp., warned that the business is seeing pressure from cannabis, weight-loss drugs and lackluster demand from Generation Z.
Brown-Forman CEO Lawson Whiting told analysts on an earnings call that the “same big three” is the reason that there has been lower demand for liquor.
“We’ve been saying that for 1.5 years now. And I know on the sell-side that the world seems to be a little bit split on the extent of the pressure that it’s putting on our category. We’d be naive if we didn’t say that there isn’t some pressure coming from those,” Whiting told analysts.
