Virginia congressman slammed for TikTok performance while voters demand action
Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, D-Va., got in on TikTok’s “aura farming” trend, posting a clip of himself dancing solo in the congressional subway, captioned “omw to hold this administration accountable.”
In the short clip, Subramanyam appears on the House subway wearing sunglasses, striking poses and waving his arms before locking in on the camera.
Subramanyam’s “aura farming” appears to have backfired, with some commenters calling it out as tone-deaf, hypocritical and “cringe.”
Left-leaning viewers frustrated with perceived inaction from Democrats under President Donald Trump took aim at the VA-10 congressman in the comment section. One of the top-liked comments asked flatly, “By doing nothing…?” Another read, “Representatives have got to stop doing this. Actually do something.”
THE REVOLUTION WILL BE LIVESTREAMED: HOW ZOHRAN MAMDANI WON THE NYC PRIMARY ONLINE
Many commenters linked the post to Subramanyam’s past voting record, including his controversial decision against his party just weeks ago not to move forward with a House impeachment resolution against Trump.
On June 24, 2025, Subramanyam voted to table (i.e., block) a resolution to impeach President Trump over “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The resolution was introduced by Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, but was halted by a wide House majority.
Several comments mocked the tone and delivery of the video. One read, “-1000 aura,” while another said, “Our taxpayer money hard at work…” Another commenter wrote, “So what exactly are you on your way to do? Because so far democrats have not really done anything at all.”
A top comment simply read, “This feels weird idk.”
FAR-LEFT LAWMAKER BREAKS SILENCE AFTER UNEARTHED SOCIAL MEDIA POST IGNITES FIRESTORM
One lengthy reply said, “Not trying to be disrespectful. But? Less of this sh–. More fire on the floor please. I get wanting to do outreach. But this? Isn’t the action an average American needs from their representatives right now. We’re approaching no taxation without representation territory here. Do better.”
Another suggested, “Introduce a new amendment for every one performative TikTok a Congress person posts they have to cosign 3 bills that work to limit the power of money in politics.”
Subramanyam, a former tech advisor in the Obama White House and the first South Asian elected to Virginia’s General Assembly, has gained a reputation as a more moderate Democrat. He won Virginia’s 10th District in 2024 and often plays up his immigrant roots in political messaging.
The “aura farming” trend, popular among Gen Z and Gen Alpha, refers to pulling off effortless, cool gestures usually while standing still. It took off after a now-viral video of 11-year-old Indonesian boy Rayyan Arkan Dikha danced stone-faced and confident while wearing sunglasses aboard a racing boat.
Most “aura farming” clips on TikTok are soundtracked to “Young Black & Rich” by Melly Mike, which includes the lyric “I ain’t even gon’ get mad, I’m young, black and rich.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Subramanyam’s office and TikTok for comment.
Joe Rogan reveals what changed his mind about interviewing Donald Trump
Podcaster Joe Rogan spoke candidly about how a series of political revelations persuaded him to interview then-candidate Donald Trump in the 11th hour of the 2024 election.
The 2024 presidential election was dubbed by some to be the “podcast election,” as many suggested that Trump’s appearances on numerous podcasts popular with young men swayed the outcome. The biggest example of all was Trump’s interview on the “Joe Rogan Experience” in late October, which currently has 59 million views.
In a newly released interview conducted earlier this year, “Ultimate Human” podcast host Gary Brecka noted how Rogan was initially hesitant to interview Trump on his show, and asked him what eventually changed his mind.
“Well, there was a bunch of things that happened,” Rogan said. “First of all, there was the lawfare. There was these lawsuits that they were trying to pin on him. They were trying to convict him and turn him into a felon, and they were doing it so blatantly and obviously. The case with the bookkeeping error or the bookkeeping, whatever it was. The misdemeanor that they had charged him with 34 felonies for, which isn’t even a felony. It’s a misdemeanor, and it’s also past the statute of limitations. None of it made any sense. And people were cheering it on. ‘He’s a convicted felon.’”
DEMOCRATS SEEKING TO BUY THE ‘NEXT JOE ROGAN’ OF THE LEFT AFTER 2024 ELECTION DEFEAT
“Hey, they can do that to you. Do you understand that?,” Rogan warned. “If they can do that to a former president, a former f—ing president who’s rich as s—, they can do that to him, they can do that to you, too. You can’t cheer this on. This is insane.”
The assassination attempt against Trump in Pennsylvania was another major factor that persuaded Rogan. He argued the incident could have been a “Lee Harvey Oswald 2.0.”
Another big influence, Rogan said, was the media bias against Trump. Because of the bias, he felt he needed to step up to provide a fair interview.
“There’s no real conversations with him where you’re just treating him like a human being. Like everything, he’s being grilled and then everything’s taken out of context and I’m seeing him being taken out of context on the campaign trail and like it was just gross. It was just so anti-American,” he said.
He added, “If you’re an American and you believe in our justice system and if you believe in our system of electing representatives, it should be [that] the best people should have this opportunity to express what their plan is, ‘This is what I want to do. This is where I stand on the issues. This is how I think I could pull it off.’ And then the American people are supposed to look at this person saying it and decide.”

After he did the interview in late October, Rogan went on to officially endorse Trump on the eve of the election.

Former Epstein attorney reveals what he knows about sealed ‘client’ names
Jeffrey Epstein’s former lawyer says he believes the disgraced financier may have had help killing himself in prison, but he rejected claims that anyone other than Epstein was responsible.
“It is clear from the evidence that Epstein committed suicide,” attorney Alan Dershowitz wrote in a new Wall Street Journal op-ed. “What isn’t clear is whether he was assisted by jail personnel. That seems likely to me, based on the evidence of allegedly broken cameras, transfer of his cellmate and the absence of guards during relevant time periods.”
Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody prompted a storm of conspiracy theories. Critics, including Epstein’s brother, have rejected the idea that he killed himself, citing an independent observation of his autopsy by Dr. Michael Baden and a range of other factors in the case, including a lack of security footage and a pending push for bail.
REPUBLICANS FIXATED ON EPSTEIN ARE GETTING ‘DUPED’ BY DEMOCRATS, TRUMP INSISTS
The FBI and Justice Department, in a joint memo released earlier this month, announced that a review of Epstein’s case files had been completed. Authorities said there was “no incriminating ‘client list,'” that no additional files connected to the investigation could be released and that his death was indeed a suicide, as previous federal investigations found.
In the op-ed, Dershowitz confirmed the government’s claim that Epstein didn’t create a “client list” but said accusers interviewed by the FBI named several alleged “clients” whose names have been redacted and sealed in court.

“I know who they are,” Dershowitz wrote. “They don’t include any current officeholders. We don’t know whether the accusations are true. The courts have also sealed negative information about some of the accusers to protect them.”
While neither federal prosecutors nor private attorneys have the authority to release the names, he wrote that federal judges do have that power.

CNN’s Dana Bash sidesteps disparaging Trump remark about network during broadcast
CNN anchor Dana Bash refused to read a disparaging reference to her network while quoting a Truth Social post from President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Trump’s Truth Social post said, “It is very important that all Republicans adhere to my Recissions [sic] Bill and, in particular, DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING (PBS and NPR), which is worse than CNN & MSDNC put together. Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement.”
Bash read the whole thing aloud on “Inside Politics,” except for the phrase “which is worse than CNN & MSDNC put together.” Instead, she said, “I’m not even going to read that,” and skipped it.
TRUMP THRASHES CNN AS ‘GUTLESS LOSERS’ FOR COVERAGE OF US STRIKES ON IRAN
Bash’s comments came as the U.S. Senate was set to vote on President Donald Trump’s $9 billion rescission package, a bill set to cut over $1 billion from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the government-backed funding arm for NPR and PBS.
Trump has threatened to pull federal funding for NPR and PBS and signed an executive order to slash taxpayer funds for the organizations in May.
The president has also repeatedly attacked CNN, saying in February, “Nobody watches CNN anymore, because they have no credibility.”
Earlier this month, Trump revealed that he and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem were looking into ways to prosecute CNN for its reporting on an app that allows users to track ICE agents. He added the network could face prosecution for “having given false reports on the attack in Iran,” after it claimed U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities “did not destroy” the country’s nuclear program.

Bash has pushed back on Trump in the past on her show as well, addressing some of his comments against CNN on air.
Speaking about border numbers dropping, Trump said in April, “Well, they get out, but the fake news, like CNN over here, doesn’t want to put them out because they don’t like putting out good numbers … because I think they hate our country, actually.”
“I just want to say for the record, since we heard President Trump say in the Oval Office that CNN hates our country. CNN does not hate our country. That should go without saying. I’ve been here for 32 years, and I see a rhetorical device in him trying to — to say such a thing,” Bash said in response.

Trump pulls the plug on California’s costly ‘train to nowhere’ project
California’s embattled high-speed rail project suffered a major setback after Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the termination of $4 billion in unspent federal funding by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
Citing 16 years of failure, no completed high-speed track, and escalating costs, Duffy declared the project, dubbed the “train to nowhere,” a mismanaged and over-budget “boondoggle.”
“This is California’s fault. Governor Newsom and the complicit Democrats have enabled this waste for years. Federal dollars are not a blank check – they come with a promise to deliver results,” Duffy said in a statement.
The announcement followed months of scrutiny after a comprehensive compliance review, plus failed attempts by the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) to address serious project deficiencies.
TRUMP V. CALIFORNIA: SANCTUARY CITIES TO EV BANS, TRUMP PUTS LEFT-WING STATE UNDER REPEATED SCRUTINY
“After over a decade of failures, CHSRA’s mismanagement and incompetence has proven it cannot build its train to nowhere on time or on budget. It’s time for this boondoggle to die. President Trump and I will always fight to ensure your tax dollars only go to projects that accomplish great, big, beautiful things.”
The review found that zero miles of high-speed track have been laid since ground was broken 10 years ago, and the cost continues to balloon.
President Donald Trump, echoing Duffy’s sentiment, also referred to the project as a “boondoggle.”
“To the Law abiding, Tax paying, Hardworking Citizens of the United States of America, I am thrilled to announce that I have officially freed you from funding California’s disastrously overpriced, “HIGH SPEED TRAIN TO NOWHERE,” Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
DUFFY MOVES TO DEFUND CALIFORNIA HIGH-SPEED RAIL AFTER BLISTERING FEDERAL REVIEW
“This boondoggle, led by the incompetent Governor of California, Gavin Newscum, has cost Taxpayers Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and we have received NOTHING in return except Cost Overruns. The Railroad we were promised still does not exist, and never will,” Trump continued.
“This project was Severely Overpriced, Overregulated, and NEVER DELIVERED. Thanks to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, not a SINGLE penny in Federal Dollars will go towards this Newscum SCAM ever again. This was an ill-conceived and unnecessary project, and a total waste of Taxpayer money — But no more!”
Rep. Kevin Kiley, R-Calif., author of H.R. 213, legislation to prohibit further federal funding for High-Speed Rail, applauded the move.
“California High-Speed Rail is the worst public infrastructure disaster in U.S. history,” Kiley said.
“A project that was supposed to be finished five years ago at a cost of $33 billion is now projected to take until the end of the century at a cost of $130 billion. I am grateful that President Trump and Secretary Duffy are sparing our taxpayers by cutting off federal funding. The state must now follow suit, wind this disastrous project down, and spend our transportation dollars where they are needed: our roads.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom took a jab at Duffy on X, saying he’d take advice from others over the transportation secretary.
“Won’t be taking advice from the guy who can’t keep planes in the sky,” Newsom wrote.
Newsom’s office also released a statement in response to the “Trump administration illegally terminating federal grant agreements funding California high-speed rail.”
“Trump wants to hand China the future and abandon the Central Valley. We won’t let him. With projects like the Texas high-speed rail failing to take off, we are miles ahead of others,” Newsom wrote.
“We’re now in the track-laying phase and building America’s only high-speed rail. California is putting all options on the table to fight this illegal action,” he continued.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) added that it may also pursue recovery of previously disbursed funds and potential legal action.
DUFFY CLASHES WITH DEMOCRATS OVER DEI FUNDING CUTS, DENIES AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS LET GO
In addition to canceling $4 billion in unspent federal funds to CHSRA, Duffy directed FRA to review other obligated and unobligated grants related to the CHSRA project.
The 300-page damning report, released back in June, examined the project and found delays, missed deadlines, mismanagement, waste, skyrocketing costs, budget shortfalls and overrepresentation of projected ridership.
Other key findings revealed that the project faced ongoing — and likely increasing — contractor cost overruns due to delays and that the CHSRA failed to finalize contracts for its high-speed trainsets on time.

The project was initially touted as a two-phase visionary system connecting Los Angeles to San Francisco, and later north to Sacramento, and south to San Diego.
The report states that despite the money already plowed into the project, there is a $7 billion funding gap to complete a subset of the first phase in the Central Valley from Merced to Bakersfield, known as the Early Operating Segment (EOS).
Since the project’s inception, it has been dramatically reduced from an 800-mile segment to a 171-mile segment.
Senate Republicans, do the right thing on Trump’s unfit judicial nominee
This week, Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee will once again be asked to draw the line between what is permissible and impermissible for a Trump nominee, when they decide whether Emil Bove’s nomination to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals should receive a full Senate vote.
Confirming Bove would mean redrawing that line to ignore serious concerns about his truthfulness under oath. I was in the room when he made statements that my colleagues and I understood as threats—meant to pressure us into signing a motion to dismiss the federal criminal case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Mr. Bove has since denied making any such statements in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, but those denials do not reflect what actually took place.
In February of this year, then-Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove ordered prosecutors in my former office, the Public Integrity Section, to dismiss the bribery case against Mayor Adams. Bove openly admitted in a memorandum that the dismissal was unrelated to the facts and the law. This led to the resignation of five Public Integrity Section prosecutors, including me, to go along with prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York, who also refused the order and resigned.
The Public Integrity Section has since been reduced to less than five prosecutors, meaning the only component of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division dedicated to prosecuting domestic public corruption exists almost entirely in name only today.
TOP DOJ OFFICIAL FACES TEST IN SENATE OVER NOMINATION TO BECOME FEDERAL JUDGE
In his written responses to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Bove flatly denied that he ever so much as suggested a threat to me and my colleagues, explaining that during the meeting with our section, “[i]t was never my intention to coerce, pressure, or induce an DOJ attorney – through adverse employment actions, threats, rewards, or otherwise – to sign the motion to dismiss the charges against Mayor Adams.” But by the time of that meeting, it’s undisputed that he had already accepted the forced resignation of the U.S. Attorney in New York, put line prosecutors from that office on administrative leave for not signing the motion, and forced the entirety of the Public Integrity Section’s management to resign when it refused to carry out his order. And how does his denial square with his admission that he generally recalls “[telling us] he didn’t want to get anyone in trouble … so he didn’t want to know who was opposed to signing the motion”?
Bove’s nomination would mark a troubling precedent: confirming a nominee who, in my view, gave testimony that was so obviously misleading to the committee and the American public. That’s what makes this so profoundly disturbing. Previous contested judicial confirmation hearings have involved accusations where one nomination’s credibility was pitted against that of an accuser, or judicial credentials were questioned. But never before has a nominee testified in such a demonstrably brazen manner with a wink and nod to the Republican committee members.
TRUMP NOMINATES FORMER DEFENSE ATTORNEY EMIL BOVE FOR FEDERAL APPEALS COURT VACANCY
There is only one realistic hope to prevent Bove’s nomination from moving forward to a full floor vote, and it rests on the shoulders of Sen. Thom Tillis. The North Carolina Republican, a staunch conservative, has previously demonstrated political courage by speaking for his principles, not his party, on many issues. He believes in “calling the balls and strikes.”
Sen. Tillis prevented the confirmation of Edward Martin, the woefully unqualified nominee for U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, who used his office to pen threatening, typo-ridden letters to Democratic members of Congress, defense attorneys, and Georgetown University. Bove poses a far graver threat, in that his would be a lifetime tenure to a judicial branch he believes should not be a check on the president’s power.

Moreover, Trump’s latest tussle with Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society further reveals that he is no longer looking for jurists who are conservatives, but rather, loyalists. So, who would be better to elevate from a federal circuit court to the Supreme Court if Justices Thomas or Alito decided to retire before 2028 than Bove?
On the Sunday night before I sent my resignation letter to Attorney General Bondi (Bove was cc-ed) on Monday, I was clearing out my belongings from my office when I noticed that someone had prominently placed a plaque on our reception desk. It quoted Abraham Lincoln: “If you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

Bove served as line prosecutor earlier in his career – he knows the prosecutor’s code. But, in my experience, it appears that once he had a whiff of power, Bove was willing to abuse it. With his smug testimony, Bove has essentially called the Republicans’ bluff, believing that Sen. Tillis and the others won’t have the courage to vote against him.
Citizens of all political persuasions should hope that Sen. Tillis shows the courage and character that Bove lacks by voting no on his confirmation.
Chilling video captures woman’s desperate struggle as kidnapper drags her to truck
A terrifying surveillance video shows the moment a woman was nearly abducted in St. Augustine, Florida, and now the suspect is in custody and facing charges.
On June 29, state law enforcement arrested 31-year-old Theodore Michael Tundidor, who had been charged with kidnapping, robbery and grand-theft auto, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO).
The sheriff’s office said deputies were dispatched to a business at about 3:30 p.m. that day after a 911 caller reported a man was attempting to force a woman inside a vehicle in the parking lot.
Video released by the SJSO of the attempted abduction shows the man forcibly dragging the woman toward his gray pickup truck while holding her in a headlock.

Once at the truck, the man opens the door and attempts to shove the woman inside. The entire time, the woman is heard screaming for help until she ultimately gets away and flees.
The man is seen chasing after the woman on camera before it cuts off.

Police alleged that the man, later identified as Tundidor, committed a robbery inside the business before forcefully removing a female employee from the store.
“The victim fought her attacker and attracted the attention of a nearby citizen, who came to her aid and called SJSO as the suspect abandoned his kidnapping attempt and fled,” the sheriff’s office said.

Comedian makes crass Caitlin Clark prediction at ESPYs as WNBA star is on mend
Comedian Shane Gillis was tapped to host the ESPYs on Wednesday night, and he had a crass zinger for Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark during one of his opening monologues.
Gillis, who is also an actor on the Netflix series “Tires,” had a little something for everyone while he was on stage in Los Angeles. Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders were also among the targets.

But Gillis mapped out Clark’s future after she’s finished with the WNBA.
“When Caitlin Clark retires from the WNBA, she’s going to work at a Waffle House so she can continue doing what she loves most — fist-fighting Black women,” he said to polite laughter from the crowd.
Clark was not at the ESPYs on Wednesday as she continues to be evaluated following an apparent injury during the team’s win over the Connecticut Sun. She came off the floor on Tuesday night clutching her upper leg and was seen on the bench in tears.
CAITLIN CLARK’S BROTHER BLAMES REFS FOR LATEST INJURY TO FEVER STAR
The Fever star was set to be a captain in the All-Star game and take part in the 3-point shooting contest. But all of that seemed up in the air.
“No discussion yet about this weekend,” Fever head coach Stephanie White said on Wednesday night. “There was imaging done, and, obviously, we’re ruling her out for tonight, but there hasn’t been any discussion beyond tonight.”
Clark sustained a groin injury late in the fourth quarter of Indiana’s win over the Sun in Boston Tuesday night. White said she did not believe it was a “reinjury.” Clark missed time in May due to a quad injury and was recently sidelined for five games with a left groin strain.

“I’m not really sure that it’s a reinjury as much as a different kind of injury. I know oftentimes when you’re working with injuries in the groin and the quad and the hamstring and all of those things, there’s just — they’re all kind of tied together, and it’s not always just one thing.”
Medieval estate with ties to knights and royalty listed with eyebrow-raising caveat
A jaw-dropping medieval property is on the real estate market in England, offering a pastoral life to interested buyers – but there’s a catch.
The property, called St. John’s Jerusalem, was originally used by a group of warrior monks called the Knights Hospitallers. It’s located in the historic village of Sutton-at-Hone in Kent.
The house dates back to the 12th century, according to real estate agency Strutt & Parker. It functioned as a preceptory, or a local headquarters/monastery for the knights, who fought in the Crusades.
SINKHOLE IN HISTORIC CITY REVEALS MEDIEVAL HOSPITAL HIDING JUST BENEATH STREET LEVEL
“Dating from 1199 and set in moated gardens with a lodge cottage and former deer park, this historic house is privately set in a wonderful and very private and protected setting,” the listing reads.
The main house was remodeled in the Georgian era, still retaining some medieval charm. It boasts eight bedrooms, a high-ceilinged drawing room and a modernized kitchen.
The listing calls the main building a “wonderfully atmospheric home of exceptional quality,” featuring a 13th-century chapel at its east end.
ARCHAEOLOGISTS DISCOVER ‘SENSATIONAL’ ARTIFACTS UNDER HISTORIC MONASTERY’S FLOOR
“The house is approached by a long carriage driveway, which meanders through the former deer park, beginning beside the two-bedroom lodge cottage … and ending at a generous turning circle with a central lawn in front of the house,” the listing says.
“This is a rare chance to acquire the opportunity to live in and care for this house.”
The whole package is being sold in the range of £3,250,000 – equal to over $4.4 million U.S. dollars.
The catch? The property is not being sold outright — and plans call for it to be handed back to the National Trust in less than a century.
The lease ends on Sept. 29, 2122.
Edward Church, the real estate agent for the property, told Fox News Digital that listings like St. John’s Jerusalem are rare.
“These are among the most special houses as they are in the custodianship of this body that protects houses of national importance,” Church said.
“This is a rare chance to acquire the opportunity to live in and care for this house.”

The agent also noted it’s possible to extend the lease in the future.
Church added, “The lease is a necessary item and is something that really only exists in very rare circumstances.”
Though the lease might dull the appeal of the listing FOR some, whoever purchases the property will be walking in the steps of kings.
The 24-acre property was also regularly frequented by legendary medieval leaders, including King John and Henry III, with the earliest-recorded visit in 1214.
“Subsequently, the lease of the buildings and lands was given to a series of important royal favorites with London connections such as John de Pulteney, who built Penshurst Place and Thomas Cromwell,” the listing notes.
“The Order’s lands in England, Sutton-at-Hone included, were confiscated and sold off by Henry VIII in 1540.”
The property also boasts a garden “like no other,” complemented by an idyllic moat of a chalk stream and English yews, per Strutt & Parker.
The current owners “have respected the history of the site (and the extensive archaeology beneath), including a garden of medicinal plants that complements the history of the Knights Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem, who established the original preceptory on the site,” the listing adds.

“An orchard (reflecting that established by naturalist Abraham Hill in 1670, who was responsible for introducing the Kentish Pippin apple to Kent) and a nuttery are found to the south of the house.”
