Alaska Airlines lifts ground stop for mainline aircraft after IT outage
Alaska Airlines’ operations resumed late Sunday after it had asked for a ground stop for all the airline’s mainline aircraft, according to the airline and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA’s status page and Alaska Airlines said the ground stop was canceled as of 11 p.m. local time, following the airline’s request for the ground stop over an IT outage hours earlier.
“At approximately 8 p.m. Pacific on July 20, we experienced an IT outage that resulted in a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights,” a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement to FOX Business.

“As of 11 p.m. Pacific, the ground stop has been lifted, and our operations have resumed,” the spokesperson continued. “As we reposition our aircraft and crews, there will most likely be residual impacts to our flights. It will take some time to get our overall operations back to normal.”
The statement added: “We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport.”
Earlier on Sunday, the FAA’s status page showed all destinations being impacted by the ground stop of Alaska’s mainline aircraft.
“Ground stop all Alaska mainline and Horizon aircraft,” the FAA status page said at the time.
A message at the top of the airline’s website also earlier said it was facing an issue with its IT systems.

Texas House Democrat gets presidential endorsement from podcast giant Joe Rogan
Podcast giant Joe Rogan suggested on his show Friday that his latest guest, Texas Democratic State Rep. James Talarico, D-Austin, run for president as Democrats scramble for a new leader.
“You need to run for president,” Rogan told Talarico near the end of the nearly 3-hour conversation. “We need someone who’s actually a good person.”
The two shared a laugh, though Talarico warned against people putting faith into one politician, regardless of whatever side of the aisle they support. He used Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whom Rogan has frequently supported, as an example.
TEXAS DEMOCRAT LAWMAKER TORCHED FOR FAWNING OVER INDIVIDUAL ‘SACRIFICE’ FOR FLEEING THE STATE ON PRIVATE JET
“I like Bernie a whole lot, but some people treat him as if he’s a messianic figure,” Talarico said. “And Trump on the right, people treat him as a messiah in some ways. This is a problem.”
He added, “The change is going to come from your listeners, not from me, right? I can be a part of that, but I mean, if there’s any hope I can give people, it’s that the people in power, including the billionaire mega-donors who basically run this whole thing, and I can get more into that if you want… But they are very afraid of the power that the people have. That I know for sure.”
Talarico has called himself a “proud progressive” in the past and has pushed back against Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.
In 2022, Talarico called Abbott “the greatest public safety threat” to the state following the Uvalde mass shooting.

“You know me well, and I try to be careful with what I say, but Texans are dying. The kids in Uvalde, the teachers in Uvalde, the hundreds of Texas who died during the blackout last year, the Texans who died needlessly from Covid-19 because our governor chose to open bars too early in the pandemic. Greg Abbott is the greatest public safety threat in our state. He is the greatest public safety threat to Texans right now,” Talarico said on MSNBC.
By contrast, Rogan has been outspoken about his opposition to lockdowns and has invited guests who have blamed the “Defund the Police” movement for the response to the Uvalde shooting.

Tulsi Gabbard reveals ‘historic’ intelligence plot allegedly targeting President Trump
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard detailed “striking” findings from declassified documents released Friday, claiming to showcase “overwhelming evidence” that an Obama-era cabal laid the groundwork for what would be the years-long Trump-Russia collusion probe after the 2016 election.
“The implications of this are frankly nothing short of historic,” Gabbard said on this week’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“Over 100 documents that we released on Friday really detail and provide evidence of how this treasonous conspiracy was directed by President Obama just weeks before he was due to leave office after President Trump had already gotten elected. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an issue that is so serious it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic,” she continued.
OBAMA ADMIN ‘MANUFACTURED’ INTELLIGENCE TO CREATE 2016 RUSSIAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE NARRATIVE, DOCUMENTS SHOW
Documents shared by Gabbard’s office claimed that before the 2016 election, there was no evidence showing Russia tried to directly alter vote counts. However, members of the intelligence community later suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help Trump win. Gabbard argues the narrative shift was politically motivated rather than based on new findings.
“Creating this piece of manufactured intelligence that claims that Russia had helped Donald Trump get elected contradicted every other assessment that had been made previously in the months leading up to the election that said exactly the opposite, that Russia had neither the intent nor the capability to try to ‘hack the United States election,’” Gabbard told host Maria Bartiromo.
“So the effect of what President Obama and his senior national security team did was subvert the will of the American people, undermining our democratic republic and enacting what would be essentially a years-long coup against President Trump, who was duly elected by the American people.”
FBI LAUNCHES CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS OF JOHN BRENNAN, JAMES COMEY: DOJ SOURCES
Evidence released by Gabbard’s office implicated then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, among others, in addition to the former president.
Gabbard confirmed her intent to send all the uncovered documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI for a criminal referral.
When asked if she expects to see prosecutions, she vowed to do “all that [she] can” to ensure accountability.
“We have whistleblowers, actually, coming forward now after we released these documents because there are people who were around, who were working within the intelligence community at this time who were so disgusted by what happened,” she shared.

“We’re starting to see some of them come out of the woodwork here because they… want to see justice delivered… there must be indictments. Those responsible, no matter how powerful they are and were at that time, no matter who was involved in creating this treasonous conspiracy against the American people, they all must be held accountable.”
Some Democrats, including Rep. Jim Himes of Connecticut, who is the top member of his party on the House Intelligence Committee, have criticized Gabbard’s claims as “baseless.”
Fox News Digital previously reached out to Obama, representatives for the former president, Clapper, Comey, Brennan, Rice, Lynch and McCabe for comment and did not receive a response.
Desperate search for 9-year-old Canadian girl missing in New York ends in tragedy
A 9-year-old Canadian girl who was previously the subject of an Amber Alert after her father said she was kidnapped was found dead in New York on Sunday, New York State Police confirmed.
The girl, Melina Frattolin, was reported missing by her father, Luciano Frattolin, near Exit 22 on I-87 around 9:58 p.m. on July 19. Initial claims of a possible abduction prompted a regional Amber Alert and a wide-scale search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
SUSPECTED SERIAL KILLER MAY HAVE ABDUCTED NEWS ANCHOR WHO VANISHED 30 YEARS AGO: DOC
Authorities later identified “inconsistencies in the father’s account of events and the timeline he provided” and the child was tragically found dead in Ticonderoga, about 35 miles away.
PARENTS BELIEVE DAUGHTER WHO VANISHED FROM CRUISE SHIP 27 YEARS AGO IS STILL ALIVE
“At this time, there is no indication that an abduction occurred, and there is no threat to the public,” state police said in a statement.
It’s unclear how Frattolin died.

Packed flight’s engine bursts into flames shortly after takeoff in terrifying video
A Delta Air Lines flight experienced an apparent engine fire shortly after departing from California earlier this week.
On Friday, July 18, Delta flight 446 took off from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) but was forced to return and make a safe landing at approximately 2:10 p.m. local time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Video published by YouTube channel L.A. Flights shows visible flames coming from the plane’s left engine soon after takeoff.
In the recording, Josh, one of the channel’s co-owners, can be heard expressing concern over the fire.

“WOAH, look at that! Woah, what’s going on? That’s not good guys,” Josh can be heard commentating in the video as the fire is shown.
The same video shows emergency response vehicles surrounding the plane as it taxied on the tarmac.

The Boeing 767-400 was headed to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) when it turned back due to the fire. The FAA has confirmed it is currently investigating the matter.
A Delta representative explained that the aircraft returned to LAX shortly after takeoff due to a warning related to the left engine.

“Delta flight 446 returned to Los Angeles shortly after departure following an indication of an issue with the aircraft’s left engine,” a spokesperson for the airline told Fox News Digital. Delta also issued an apology to travelers for the disruption to their plans.
“As nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and crew, the flight crew followed procedures and safely returned to the gate. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel plans,” the statement read.
Flight data from FlightAware shows the aircraft departed at 1:23 p.m. and landed back at LAX at 2:06 p.m.

Delta shared that there were nine crew members onboard—two pilots and seven flight attendants—along with 226 passengers. Everyone was able to exit the plane normally, and passengers were later transferred to another aircraft.
The airline also confirmed that both local firefighters and Delta’s maintenance team inspected the plane following the incident.
Illegal alien with long rap sheet allegedly shoots CBP officer in face in NYC
An off-duty Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer was shot in the face in New York City on Saturday night during an attempted robbery involving a previously-deported illegal immigrant, according to authorities.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified the suspect as Miguel Francisco Mora Nunez, a Dominican national who was caught by Border Patrol in April 2023.
After being apprehended at the Arizona border, Nunez was released into the U.S., though he still has an active deportation order.
Video released by DHS showed two suspects ride up to the officer on a motorized scooter in Riverside Park.
TEXAS BORDER PATROL SHOOTER DETAILS REMAIN SCANT AS VIOLENCE AGAINST ICE, CBP AGENTS SURGES
According to police, Nunez then got off the scooter and approached the officer while he was sitting and speaking to someone near a body of water. The officer has not yet been identified.
The officer, who was not in uniform, pulled out a gun to protect himself, and a shootout ensued.
The agent was hit in the face and forearm and transported to a hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. He is expected to survive.
Nunez was also injured during the shootout and was shot in the leg and groin. He was dropped off at a hospital in the Bronx, according to authorities.
DHS also told Fox News that Nunez has an active warrant for kidnapping in the state of Massachusetts, in addition to prior felony arrests.
SUSPECT IN NOEM PURSE SNATCHING ACCUSED OF SIMILAR CRIME IN NY WEEKS BEFORE
During a press conference on Sunday, New York Mayor Eric Adams said that Nunez was in custody.
“This 21-year-old male has prior arrests for assault and violating an order protection,” Adams said. “At the time of this shooting, he had an active bench warrant from the Bronx, was wanted for a robbery from last December, and [a] stabbing from January.”
“He has inflicted violence in our city and once he is charged for last night’s crimes, we will be able to add attempted murder to his rap sheet,” the mayor added.
President Donald Trump weighed in on the shooting Sunday afternoon, writing that “an incredible CBP Officer was shot in the face by an Illegal Alien Monster freed into the Country under Joe Biden.”
“The CBP Officer bravely fought off his attacker, despite his wounds, demonstrating enormous Skill and Courage,” Trump wrote. “The Democrats have flooded our Nation with Criminal Invaders, and now, they must all be thrown out or, in some cases, immediately prosecuted in that we cannot take a chance that they are able to come back. That’s how evil and dangerous they are!”
The incident comes two months after a Fox News Digital report found a high number of migrants committing thefts, assaults and drug crimes, as well as grand larceny incidents and sex crimes.

According to the data, 3,219 migrants living in 48 shelters across the city were arrested a total of 4,884 times between Jan. 1, 2023, and Oct. 31, 2024.
ESPN broadcaster’s risqué WNBA All-Star Game quip leaves co-hosts stunned
The WNBA All-Star Game’s high-offensive output led ESPN host Elle Duncan to say something many viewed as quite crude on live television.
It’s not uncommon to see a lack of defense in a basketball All-Star Game, no matter if it’s the WNBA or the NBA. But Duncan had an interesting way to describe that side of the game at halftime during ABC’s broadcast on Saturday night.
“We hope it gets a little bit more competitive,” Duncan started off after watching Napheesa Collier’s team put up 82 puts to Caitlin Clark’s squad’s 60 in the first half. “Because like a girls’ trip to Cancun, right now, there’s no D.”

ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike quickly said, “Elle, you’re in timeout. You’re done.” Then, the broadcast went to commercial.
After the one-liner found its way working through social media, there were a few who didn’t like Duncan’s humor.
MICHELE TAFOYA CLAIMS ‘JEALOUSY’ LED TO CAITLIN CLARK’S SHOCKING WNBA PLAYER VOTE: ‘IT’S SO DUMB’
“Add this to a long list of why no one takes @WNBA or @espn seriously,” one X user said under a video of Duncan, posted by Awful Announcing.
“If Shane Gillis said that, they’d try to cancel him,” another wrote, referencing the comedian’s ESPYs monologue that turned heads this past week.
When the second half eventually started, there was more offense than defense yet again, as Collier led the way with 36 points to help her squad beat Clark’s, 151-131, to win the All-Star Game.
Clark didn’t play in the game, as she continues to nurse a groin injury that has been nagging throughout this 2025 WNBA season. She suffered it on Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun, which forced her to be sidelined for the Indiana Fever during their game against the New York Liberty on Wednesday.

Colbert’s fall from grace: How a fake Republican act became late night flop
The decision by CBS to cancel “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” dropped like a nuclear warhead on the media landscape last week, but to fully understand the comedian’s rise and fall, you have to remember his roots as a fake Republican.
Colbert rose to fame through Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” in the early 2000’s, earning himself his own news parody show on the network, “The Colbert Report” in 2005. From that satirical anchor chair, he posed as a conservative talking head for almost a decade.
COLBERT SLAMS PARAMOUNT FOR SETTLING WITH TRUMP, ACCUSES HIS PARENT COMPANY OF OFFERING A ‘BIG FAT BRIBE’
The character that was created was a Ron Burgundy-like conservative buffoon, or as Colbert would put it, a “well-intentioned, poorly informed, high-status idiot.”
He would wear this costume for 20 years.
In other words, for two decades now, Stephen Colbert has been consumed in the role of a pre-Donald Trump, Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan style Republican that, in that time, has gone from being reviled to fondly remembered by the left.
Many of us are old enough to remember when former President George W. Bush was considered by liberals to be a war criminal who should go directly to jail. But today, there is a strange new respect for W in the wake of Trump.
What Colbert was really playing was the lovable and gullible loser that the word “Republican” represented before the Orange Man went bad. This was a Republican who, in retrospect, at least, was greedy, maybe a bit stupid, but not a supposed threat to democracy.
In September 2015, just over a year before Trump would shock the universe with his defeat of Hillary Clinton, Colbert took over the vaunted “The Late Show” from David Letterman. But which Colbert would it be, the real one, or the character he created?
Not long after Colbert took the hot seat at “The Late Show,” a new term was beginning to bubble up in the societal ether: “Never Trump.” With it came a sorting. Some Republicans, and we know who they are, made opposing Trump their entire mission. Colbert’s character was squarely among them.
What was fascinating was that even though Colbert had only been pretending to be a conservative for a decade in 2015, his performance gave his criticisms of Trump an extra bite, just as Never Trump ex-GOP officials have on CNN and MSNBC in the age of Trump.
For 10 years now, Colbert has toggled between ridiculous musical numbers urging his viewers to trust the “experts” and the Left on everything from vaccines to election interference, and putting on his black thick-rimmed glasses for a serious monologue about the evils of Trump.
Just as is the case with Never Trump pundits, Colbert’s Never Trump late night TV host is not only tired now, but utterly pointless and irrelevant. The Republican that Colbert has spent his career pretending to be, simply doesn’t exist anymore.
As news of Colbert’s cancellation spread, we saw from the usual suspects on the Left dire warnings about government censorship and authoritarianism. It’s all a flaming bag of nonsense.
If, as these wackos presume, CBS buckled to Trump to get their parent company Paramount’s merger with Skydance past the administration even though Colbert is the biggest star in late night, then surely a rival network would scoop him up. That’s how value in entertainment works.
CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION
But the problem for Colbert is that the entire basis of his character, and frankly, career, has disintegrated under his feet as it has for so many who made their entire lives about defeating Donald Trump.
Colbert’s caricature of a mid-level manager white guy who just wants low taxes and his kids not to be gay and doesn’t read books depicts nobody in reality. It is a figment of elite, urban, progressive fearmongers.
It was another famous late-night host named Johnny Carson who once turned the tables on legendary insult comedian Don Rickles, by quipping, “Don is a great comedian, I love his joke.”

Sadly, though Carson was kidding, this really is the fate that Colbert suffered. He only had one joke, and that joke isn’t funny anymore.
So, RIP to the “Late Show” and to Never Trump, two things that time and fortune have passed by, under the watchful eye of Donald J. Trump.
