Mexico is handing over 26 top cartel leaders to the United States this week in a deal with the Trump administration.

The cartel figures were scheduled to fly to the U.S. on Tuesday.

“Today is the latest example of the Trump administration’s historic efforts to dismantle cartels and foreign terrorist organizations,” Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News Digital. “These 26 men have all played a role in bringing violence and drugs to American shores — under this Department of Justice, they will face severe consequences for their crimes against this country. We are grateful to President Sheinbaum and the Mexican government for their collaboration in this matter.”

Abigael González Valencia, a leader of the “Los Cuinis,” cartel, which is aligned with the notorious Jalisco New Generation cartel (CJNG) and Roberto Salazar, who is accused of participating in the 2008 killing of a Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy, are among those being handed over to the U.S.

US ACCUSES VENEZUELAN REGIME OF NARCO-TERRORISM OVER ALLIANCES WITH TREN DE ARAGUA, SINALOA CARTEL

The Trump administration has classified the CJNG as a terrorist organization.

Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office and Security Ministry confirmed the men were being handed over, saying the deal was made after the U.S. Justice Department said it wouldn’t seek the death penalty for any of the men.

The deal comes amid the Trump administration’s focus on border security and attempt to crack down on Mexican cartels that send drugs across the border.

“President Trump’s top priority is protecting the homeland, which is why he took the bold step to designate several cartels and gangs as foreign terrorist organizations,” deputy White House press secretary Anna Kelly previously said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

AMERICANS IN VACATION HOT SPOT MAY SEE MORE MILITARY THAN MARGARITAS THIS SUMMER

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Friday said the U.S. military would not be entering Mexican territory following reports that Washington could take action to combat the cartels.

“We co-operate, we collaborate, but there is not going to be an invasion,” she said. “It’s off the table, absolutely off the table.”

President Donald Trump has also reportedly secretly authorized U.S. military force against cartels in Latin America designated by the U.S. as terrorist organizations, which would allow U.S. forces to engage with them.

It also comes ahead of 25% tariffs on Mexican goods coming into the U.S. imposed by Trump.

Trump spoke with Sheinbaum, who has been more aggressive than the last president about going after cartels, and told her he would delay 30% tariffs on the country for 90 days for negotiations.

Mexico also extradited 29 cartel leaders in February, including Rafael Caro Quintero, who prosecutors say was behind the torture and murder of a DEA agent in 1985.

Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith is facing backlash and mockery on social media after she appeared to not understand a question from the media about the department’s “chain of command” amid President Donald Trump’s recent federalization of the department.

“Can you tell us what the chain of command is now?” a reporter was heard asking Smith during a press conference Tuesday morning.

“What does that mean?” the police chief responded.

“Well, is it Pam Bondi speaking to the mayor? Is it you? How does this work?” the reporter continued, before Bowser stepped in to explain the department’s chain of command following Trump invoking section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act Monday, which allows the president to assume emergency control of the capital’s police force.

FBI DIRECTOR KASH PATEL BACKS TRUMP’S DC POLICE TAKEOVER: ‘WHEN YOU LET GOOD COPS BE COPS, THEY DELIVER’

The exchange came amid Bowser’s brief press conference Tuesday morning following her meeting with Attorney General Pam Bondi.

“Our organizational chart, how we do business, how we fund the police, none of that has changed,” Bowser explained, adding that Bondi is working as Trump’s “proxy” under the federalization order and that the pair are in close communication.

“We have more police, and we want to make sure we use them,” she added.

The exchange of Smith appearing to not understand the reporter’s question on the department’s “chain of command” sparked mockery and backlash online Tuesday afternoon.

“This is who is in charge of the police in D.C...” popular conservative X account Libs of TikTok posted of the exchange.

“This is why DEI is a disease,” National Co-Chair of the RNC Youth Advisory Council CJ Pearson posted to X in response to the exchange.

Smith previously served as the department’s first chief equity officer, where she “led the department’s efforts on diversity, equity and inclusion,” according to her biography.

“WTF! The DC Police Chief doesn’t even know what Chain of Command means,” another conservative X account posted in response.

“Smith previously served as the Police Department’s “Chief Equity Officer,'” the Trump War Room account posted to X.

“MIND BLOWING:  D.C. police chief reveals she  DOES NOT KNOW what chain of command is. Folks, this is the Washington, D.C. POLICE Chief,” another critic posted.

“NEW: Washington DC Police Chief Pamela A. Smith doesn’t know what the ‘chain of command’ means. … Yikes,” Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg posted.

Fox Digital reached out to the Metropolitan Police Department and Bowser’s office for comment on the exchange and subsequent backlash, but did not immediately receive replies.

TRUMP ACTIVATES NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS TO ADDRESS ‘TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL’ CRIME IN WASHINGTON

Trump federalized the D.C. police department following a spate of high-profile attacks and killings in the city in recent weeks, including the fatal shooting of a congressional intern in June, the fatal shooting of a pair of Israeli embassy staffers in May, and a brutal attack on a former Department of Government Efficiency staffer earlier in August.

“Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged-out maniacs and homeless people,” he said. “And we’re not going to let it happen anymore. We’re not going to take it.”

Trump declared it was “Liberation Day in D.C.,” adding, “We’re going to take our capital back.”

“We’re taking it back under the authority vested in me as the president of the United States. I’m officially invoking section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act. You know what that is. And placing the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department under direct federal control. … In addition, I’m deploying the National Guard to help reestablish law, order and public safety in Washington, D.C. And they’re going to be allowed to do their job properly,” he said Monday.

Former first daughter Ashley Biden this week filed for divorce from her husband of 13 years, according to reports.

The 44-year-old also posted an Instagram story on the same day with the song “Freedom” by Beyonce.

In her post, Biden walks through a park giving a thumbs up while the song plays, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which reported the filing first.

She also posted the quote: “New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before” over “Freedom Time” by Lauryn Hill.

Biden has been married to plastic surgeon Howard Krein since 2012.

The estranged couple were wed in Greenville, Delaware, in a ceremony that combined her Catholic faith and his Jewish roots, according to People magazine.

A reception was held at the Biden family’s Wilmington lake house.

“I kept telling Ash, we’ve got to open up the church and practice walking up and down the aisle so I can handle it,” former President Joe Biden, who was vice president at the time, told People, saying he expected to be emotional at the ceremony.

“This is the right guy. And he’s getting a helluva woman,” the former president said at the time. Biden met her husband through her late brother Beau Biden and started dating him in 2010.

She mentioned her wedding when she introduced the former president at the Democratic National Convention last year.

“At the time, my dad was vice president, but he was also that dad who literally set up the entire reception,” she said. “He was riding around in his John Deere 4-wheeler, fixing the place settings, arranging the plants, and by the way, he was very emotional.”

She added, “Before he walked me down the aisle, he turned to me and said he would always be my best friend. All these years later, Dad, you are still my best friend.”

Maluma stopped his concert in Mexico City over the weekend to scold a mother who brought her baby to the packed show without the proper ear protection.

The Colombian rapper, whose legal name is José Luis Londoño, was in the middle of performing a song when he noticed a mother and a baby in the crowd.

He stopped performing to address the woman’s “irresponsible” act.

In a video uploaded to TikTok, Maluma was seen asking the mother in Spanish how old her baby was. Once she told him her baby’s age, the musician called out the mother in front of the crowd.

“Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a 1-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f—ing high? That baby doesn’t even know what it’s doing here,” the rapper said.

“Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility.”

He continued, “Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It’s heavy. It’s your responsibility.”

Maluma, who is a father to his 1-year-old daughter, continued to address the crowd and explained he would never bring his daughter to a show.

“You’re waving them around like they’re a toy. That baby doesn’t want to be there, for real. I’m telling you with all love and respect, now that I’m a father… would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware,” he said.

Maluma’s representative did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Fans took to the comment section on TikTok to weigh in on Maluma’s harsh response to the mother.

“I respect this because some people will not understand until they get embarrassed or put on the spot. It’s dangerous to have a one-year-old baby at a concert that anything could happen & she didn’t have any ear protection on the baby either,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Who would even think of taking a baby? If you have a baby and no one to leave it with, then you don’t go. I totally agree with him.”

Maluma is currently on his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour, which has dates scheduled across Latin America, the United States and Europe.

A heartbreaking injury result befell Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore, as the team announced he will be missing the entire 2025 season with a left knee injury.

It’s especially devastating for Moore considering he missed the whole 2024 campaign after suffering a right knee injury during a preseason practice with the Atlanta Falcons.

So, while the Vikings didn’t specify the exact nature of the injury, Moore won’t be able to play in the NFL.

Moore suffered his latest injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Houston Texans. Trainers immediately rushed to him to find out what was ailing him, and a cart was ultimately called out to meet them on the turf.

Moore, with a towel over his head, was sitting in the back of the cart, visibly frustrated as one can understand considering the circumstances. He rode off and shook his head, as Vikings fans feared the worst for the wideout.

VIKINGS’ RONDALE MOORE SUFFERS DEVASTATING KNEE INJURY ON 1ST PRESEASON PLAY SINCE MISSING ALL OF 2024

The last time Moore played in an NFL game was Week 18 of the 2023 season while a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

In Vikings training camp, Moore was fighting for a roster spot in a stacked wide receivers room, which includes Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Jalen Nailor.

Moore, who starred at Purdue, was a second-round pick by the Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Over his three seasons in Arizona, Moore totaled 1,201 yards on 135 receptions with three total touchdowns, one tallied in each season.

Moore was traded to the Falcons in March 2024 in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder, though he suffered his right knee injury on Aug. 8 of that year.

Heated NYC mayoral race has runaway leader, new poll reveals

New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani maintains a hefty lead in the race, according to a recent Siena poll of registered voters.

Mamdani is polling at 44%, and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who’s running as an independent, is at 25%. Republican Curtis Sliwa is at 12%, and incumbent Mayor Eric Adams is at 7%.

“While City Democrats favor Mamdani over Cuomo 53-32%, with single digits for the other two, more than two-thirds of City Republicans support Sliwa. City independent voters are more closely divided, with 30% supporting Mamdani and 20% supporting Adams,” Siena pollster Steven Greenberg said in a press release on Tuesday.

CUOMO OPPONENTS SLAM HIS RE-ENTRY INTO NYC MAYOR RACE, SAY CITY WANTS TO MOVE ON FROM EX GOVERNOR

“City voters under 35 are overwhelmingly supporting Mamdani, as are a plurality of voters 35-54, however, voters 55 and older back Cuomo over Mamdani, 38-32%,” he added.

“Mamdani, included in the Siena poll for the first time, has a 46-32% favorability rating with New York City voters and a negative 28-37% favorability rating among voters statewide,” Greenberg continued.

However, the pollster said that Cuomo, who resigned as governor and then lost the Democratic primary to Mamdani, is facing serious favorability issues.

“Cuomo has an underwater favorability rating with City voters, 37-54%, and an even worse 29-61% favorability rating with statewide voters, the worst ever favorability rating for Cuomo in a Siena poll. In fact, among Democrats statewide, Cuomo’s favorability rating is 36-56%, down from 51-39% in March,” he said.

CUOMO, ADAMS TRADE SHOTS OVER WHO SHOULD DROP OUT IN RACE AGAINST MAMDANI FOR NYC MAYOR

Adams, who opted to pursue the race as an independent, is also facing favorability woes, according to the poll. The mayor was indicted by the Department of Justice last year on bribery, conspiracy and campaign finance charges, but the case was later dropped. Adams has presented himself as a pro-law enforcement alternative to Mamdani, especially after the 345 Park Avenue office shooting last month.

“Adams is also underwater with voters in the City, 30-58%, statewide 22-51%, and among Democrats statewide 22-59%,” Greenberg said. “Sliwa has a 26-30% statewide favorability rating, and 30-42% in the City.”

The recent poll comes as the nation’s eyes remain on the race, as Mamdani’s win was seen as an upset against Cuomo, and the Democratic nominee has pushed several far-left policies. Currently, Mamdani is doing an anti-Trump tour across the city.

“There is no borough that will be free from Trump’s cruelty,” Mamdani said on Monday. “We will feel the pain of this legislation, whether we are in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens or Staten Island, and we will shine a light this week and every week on the costs of this vision that is coming out of Washington, D.C.”

MAMDANI’S PRIMARY WIN EXPOSES DEMOCRAT DIVIDE AS TOP LEADERS WITHHOLD ENDORSEMENTS

Although some Democrats have held back on publicly supporting Mamdani, others, such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-NY., have been campaigning for him.

Cuomo, Adams, and Sliwa have taken aim at Mamdani on a variety of issues, including policing and rent control. Cuomo is even pitching “Zohran’s Law” after it came out that Mamdani lives in a rent-stabilized apartment.

“Rent-stabilized apartments when they’re vacant should only be rented to people who need affordable housing, not people like Zohran Mamdani,” Cuomo told reporters in a video posted on social media on Sunday.

“We must remember that Andrew Cuomo has spent more time talking about my apartment than asking why so many New Yorkers are being forced out of theirs. He has spent more time criticizing me than he has in criticizing the legislation that Donald Trump has passed,” Mamdani fired back on Tuesday.

The election is on Nov. 4, which makes it one of the few major off-year elections.

California governor mocks Trump in fiery letter: ‘You are playing with fire’

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is demanding that President Donald Trump abandon a GOP-led redistricting push in Texas following a Democratic walkout that blocked the vote in the Lone Star State over a Republican effort to redraw congressional maps.

The Democratic governor warned the partisan battle risks spiraling into a national redistricting “arms race” and urged Trump to “stand down.”

After days of aggressive back and forth between the two leaders, Newsom tweeted from the official page of the Governor Newsom Press Office, mocking Trump in what was ostensibly meant to mimic the president’s idiosyncratic style of using all-caps and superlatives for many of his posts.

DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST SAYS PARTY LACKS ‘MORAL AUTHORITY’ ON TEXAS REDISTRICTING FIGHT

“DONALD ‘TACO’ TRUMP, AS MANY CALL HIM, ‘MISSED’ THE DEADLINE!!! CALIFORNIA WILL NOW DRAW NEW, MORE ‘BEAUTIFUL MAPS,’ THEY WILL BE HISTORIC AS THEY WILL END THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY (DEMS TAKE BACK THE HOUSE!). BIG PRESS CONFERENCE THIS WEEK WITH POWERFUL DEMS AND GAVIN NEWSOM — YOUR FAVORITE GOVERNOR — THAT WILL BE DEVASTATING FOR ‘MAGA.’ THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER! — GN,” the tweet read.

Newsom’s hyperbolic, Trump-mimicking tone suggested that California will be retaliating in the ongoing redistricting battle unless red states like Texas abort their partisan map plans.

The governor seemed to double down on comments on X from Monday in which he posted a video along with the caption:

Donald Trump: It’s time to call Greg Abbott and tell him to stand down. You are not ‘entitled’ to 5 congressional seats. If you do not call your lapdogs off, CA will act quickly and swiftly. We will go to the ballot. We will neutralize whatever gains you make. We will not stand by while you light Democracy on fire.”

CALIFORNIA LAUNCHES REDISTRICTING FIGHT TO ‘NULLIFY’ TEXAS GOP PLAN, WITH DEMS POISED TO GAIN 5 SEATS

The post coincided with a letter to Trump from Monday accusing the president of “playing with fire.”

The governor said he is prepared to do whatever it takes to combat any gains that the republicans may achieve through efforts in Texas.

“You are playing with fire, risking the destabilization of our democracy, while knowing that California can neutralize any gains you hope to make,” Newsom told Trump in the letter.

“This attempt to rig congressional maps to hold onto power before a single vote is cast in the 2026 election is an affront to American democracy,” Newsom said.

Newsom said he was in favor of leaving the decision to independent commissions, and that he would “happily” stand down if other states followed suit in the redistricting effort.

In another snarky, all-caps tweet meant to mimic Trump’s social media style, Newsom’s office summarized the letter: “DONALD TRUMP, IF YOU DO NOT STAND DOWN, WE WILL BE FORCED TO LEAD AN EFFORT TO REDRAW THE MAPS IN CA TO OFFSET THE RIGGING OF MAPS IN RED STATES. BUT IF THE OTHER STATES CALL OFF THEIR REDISTRICTING EFFORTS, WE WILL DO THE SAME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!”

Newsom’s threat could mark a dramatic reversal of California’s voter-approved independent redistricting process and potentially require legislative action or even a statewide ballot measure.

While this is only intended as a political counterpunch, the move has sparked debate among Democrats’ and Republicans’ about whether the party risks sacrificing its moral high ground on fair maps.

Cincinnati leaders are reportedly calling on members of local government to bring charges against a White man seen slapping a Black man during a viral confrontation that left six injured and led to seven arrests in late July.

In a public discussion hosted by Ohio state Rep. Cecil Thomas on Monday, community members met to discuss concerns over the city’s handling of the investigation into the fight, WLWT reported

“The video speaks for itself,” Thomas said, according to the outlet. “The method by which this situation has been handled raises serious questions as to whether there is bias involved in this investigation. It also brings into question the lack of integrity and whether there is something else to hide.”

SEVENTH CINCINNATI ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED OVER VIOLENT BEATDOWN

Additional footage of the assault obtained by WLWT shows the unidentified White man allegedly hitting a Black man in the face, leading to several others joining in on the beatdown that ultimately left six people injured.

A separate video obtained by Fox News Digital depicts a White man repeatedly using a racial slur toward the group in the moments before the fight.

The update comes over two weeks after the incident broke out on the corner of Fourth and Elm streets in the early morning hours of July 26.

CINCINNATI VIRAL BEATING BODYCAM RELEASED AS SUSPECTS FACE NEW CHARGES IN GRAND JURY INDICTMENT

Last week, a grand jury indicted Patrick Rosemond, 38, Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, DeKyra Vernon, 24, Dominique Kittle, 37, and Aisha Devaughn, 25, on three counts of alleged felonious assault, three charges of assault and two charges of aggravated rioting, the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital.

If convicted, they each face the possibility of up to 29 years in prison.

A seventh individual, 32-year-old Gregory Wright, was arrested Monday afternoon and is facing charges of alleged aggravated riot and aggravated robbery, according to the Hamilton County Jail.

CINCINNATI BRAWL TIMELINE: BRUTAL ASSAULT SPIRALS INTO NATIONAL FIRESTORM

All seven suspects are Black, sparking questions from local leaders about the investigation and why the White man has not been charged.

“Our community is restless, and they’re watching,” Pastor Leslie Jones said, according to WLWT. “Since you don’t think young people vote, old folks do. And they have told me they know how to vote, they know how to answer. If you don’t prosecute this gentleman – and we’re not talking about – we’re demanding prosecution in the next 24 hours.”

Additionally, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval told WLWT that any decisions regarding additional charges will be “made as soon as possible.”

“I agree with everyone’s frustration,” Pureval said, according to the outlet. “I have been clear about my expectations that, in order to preserve both public safety and fairness, anyone involved in perpetrating the violence should be charged. Until all participants are held accountable, justice hasn’t been fully served. And I’m grateful that community leaders and residents are continuing to come together to make their expectations clear.”

Father’s guns used in deadly CDC rampage as shooter’s manifesto reveals motive

The man accused of killing a police officer while shooting at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters in Atlanta on Friday had previously been reported to police for suicidal thoughts and launched the deadly attack with his father’s weapons to send a message against COVID-19 vaccines, authorities said Tuesday.

Patrick Joseph White, 30, is suspected of killing DeKalb County Police Department Officer David Rose, 33, shortly before 5 p.m., in an attack that saw him unload around 200 rounds into six CDC buildings. White’s driver’s license image was released publicly for the first time on Tuesday.

Rose, who previously served as a Marine in Afghanistan and joined the DeKalb County Police Department in September 2024, was responding to the scene and died from gunshot wounds.

FATHER OF CDC GUNMAN INDICATES POSSIBLE MOTIVATION BEHIND SHOOTING

Five firearms were recovered by law enforcement, mostly long guns, with more than 500 shell casings found at the scene, authorities said at a Tuesday press briefing.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Director Chris Hosey said law enforcement made contact with White about mental health warning signs.

“The shooter had no known criminal history. Evidence in this investigation indicates that the shooter had recently verbalized thoughts of suicide, which even led to law enforcement being contacted several weeks prior to the incident,” Hosey said.

He said investigators are getting with the law enforcement that made those contacts to find out the details, but did not provide further information. White died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Hosey said.

White, who was from the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw, had police called on him three different times about being suicidal in the past year, Fox Atlanta reported. In at least one of those calls, White’s father told dispatchers that his son had gotten a gun from his father’s locker.

SHOOTER NAMED IN CDC HEADQUARTERS ATTACK THAT LEFT GEORGIA POLICE OFFICER DEAD

In a September 2024 call, White told police his health had declined after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine and that his deteriorating condition had led to suicidal ideation. Officers said White stated he was in pain and had back surgery a decade ago. He claimed taking a gun from his father’s locker was “only a cry for help.”

After that incident, White was taken to Kennestone Hospital but refused mental health treatment on subsequent calls, per the report. Two other calls took place in April and July of this year.

Hosey said that for Friday’s attack, White broke into his father’s safe to get the guns, noting they had been locked away.

“All indications in our investigation was that they were secure and that he forced his way into the safe that contained the weapons,” said Hosey, adding that the suspect did not have a key to the gun safe: “He broke into it,” Hosey said.

Hosey said that during a search of his residence, authorities found documents expressing anger towards the COVID-19 vaccine. He said there were no direct threats made in the writing, but it was described as personal manifesto to “make the public aware” of his views.

“A search warrant executed at the residence of the shooter revealed written documentation that expressed the shooter’s discontent with the COVID-19 vaccinations,” Hosey said.

“I would describe it as more of a public awareness. There was no direct threat… but it was his making the public aware, in his words, of his discontent with the vaccines itself,” Hosey said in response to a reporter’s follow-up question.

Hosey said the materials are being reviewed by certified behavioral profilers and shared with the FBI.

White had been stopped by CDC security guards before driving to a pharmacy across the street, where he opened fire from a sidewalk, authorities said. The bullets pierced “blast-resistant” windows across the campus, pinning employees down during the barrage. More than 500 shell casings have been recovered from the crime scene, the GBI said.

In the aftermath, officials at the CDC are assessing the security of the campus and making sure they notify officials of any new threats.

U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. toured the CDC campus on Monday, accompanied by Deputy Secretary Jim O’Neill and CDC Director Susan Monarez, according to a health agency statement. Kennedy also visited the DeKalb County Police Department, and later met privately with the slain officer’s wife.

Kenedy recently announced that the CDC will no longer recommend COVID‑19 vaccinations for healthy children or pregnant individuals and canceled 22 mRNA vaccine development contracts totaling roughly $500 million because he said the data showed that those vaccines fail to protect effectively against upper respiratory infections like COVID and flu.
