Kilmar Abrego Garcia heard saying two words as ICE agent leads him away
In a video posted by the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, Kilmar Abrego Garcia can be heard saying the words “gobierno corrupto,” which is Spanish for “corrupt government.”
In the footage, the Salvadoran man is seen bound by restraints while being escorted by an individual wearing a vest that reads, “POLICE ICE.”
The DHS post on X containing the video declares, “He doesn’t belong here. He won’t be staying here. America is a safer nation without this MS-13 Gangbanger in it. Good riddance.”
FEDERAL JUDGE TEMPORARILY BARS ABREGO GARCIA FROM DEPORTATION TO UGANDA
The footage appears to be from when ICE arrested Abrego Garcia on Monday.
“On Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested Abrego Garcia in Maryland at an ICE processing center on federal immigration violations,” a DHS press release declared, noting, “Abrego Garcia is being processed for removal from the U.S. to Uganda.”
TOP TRUMP AGENCY TORCHES DEM LAWMAKERS RALLYING AROUND DETAINED ABREGO GARCIA: ‘IT IS INSANE’
The deportation to Uganda is at the center of an ongoing legal battle.
“Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not and will never be a Maryland Man – he is a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador and public safety threat,” a senior DHS official said, according to the release.
“President Trump and Secretary Noem are not going to allow this illegal alien – who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator – to terrorize American citizens any longer.”

Abrego Garcia does not have any criminal convictions, Politico and the Washington Post have both indicated.
A court filing from earlier this year pushed back against the notion that he is connected with MS-13.
“Plaintiff Abrego Garcia is not a member of or has no affiliation with Tren de Aragua, MS-13, or any other criminal or street gang,” the document filed by Abrego Garcia’s legal team claimed.
Federal judge: No judicial immunity for Dugan in alleged ICE obstruction
A U.S. District judge on Tuesday rejected Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan’s request to dismiss allegations that she helped an undocumented immigrant evade federal authorities earlier this year.
Dugan was arrested in April after allegedly helping Eduardo Flores-Ruiz avoid plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who were trying to serve him a warrant.
Her attorneys argued she is entitled to judicial immunity for her official acts. They also said the federal government overstepped its authority by arresting and charging her.
The defense team also claimed the charges violate the U.S. Constitution’s 10th Amendment and the principle of separation of powers.
FEDERAL CASE AGAINST MILWAUKEE JUDGE ACCUSED OF CONCEALING ILLEGAL MIGRANT SHOULD CONTINUE, JUDGE RECOMMENDS
Dugan’s attorneys further argued that Dugan can only be charged with conduct “wholly unrelated” to her judicial duties, such as taking bribes or violating constitutional rights, though she has not been accused of either in this case.
U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman ruled on the motion Tuesday.
“Ultimately, as the Supreme Court has stated, ‘the official seeking absolute immunity bears the burden of showing that such immunity is justified for the function in question,’” Adelman wrote, adding that Dugan has not done so here. “I cannot say as a matter of law that the defendant’s alleged conduct falls within even this more limited version of immunity.”
MILWAUKEE JUDGE NOT IMMUNE FROM CHARGES AFTER ALLEGEDLY HELPING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT EVADE ICE, PROSECUTORS SAY
“There is no basis for granting immunity simply because some of the allegations in the indictment describe conduct that could be considered ‘part of a judge’s job,’” Adelman added.
Prosecutors allege that Dugan helped Flores-Ruiz and his attorney exit her courtroom through a back door on April 18, after learning that ICE agents were in the building to arrest him.
TRUMP ADMIN MAY NOT DEPORT MIGRANT TO CONGO DURING IMMIGRATION PROCEEDINGS, FEDERAL JUDGE RULES
A federal indictment alleges Dugan “falsely” told the agents they needed a judicial warrant and directed them to go to the chief judge’s office. Dugan then addressed the case off the record instead of holding the scheduled hearing. Flores-Ruiz faces three misdemeanor battery charges, and despite Dugan’s efforts, he was arrested.
Adelman has scheduled a hearing about Dugan’s motion for Sept. 3.

Both federal prosecutors and Dugan’s defense team have said they would like a trial to begin before the end of the year. No trial date has been set.
Fashion magazine may face staff walkout over potential Melania Trump feature
One Vanity Fair editor expressed outrage at First Lady Melania Trump being potentially featured on the magazine’s cover, according to the Daily Mail.
The UK outlet reported that several anonymous staffers claimed there would be a meltdown at the fashion magazine if global editorial director Mark Guiducci went through with his idea of putting Trump on its cover.
“I will walk out the motherf—– door, and half my staff will follow me,” one editor told the outlet.
MELANIA TRUMP, AMAZON PARTNER TO RELEASE NEW FILM ABOUT HER LIFE IN THEATERS WORLDWIDE
Guiducci, who became the outlet’s global editorial director in June, has reportedly floated the idea of putting Trump on Vanity Fair’s cover, Semafor reported Sunday.
Trump was notably excluded from Vanity Fair and Condé Nast’s Vogue during her husband’s first presidency, despite both magazines frequently spotlighting first ladies. She did appear on the cover of Vanity Fair Mexico in 2017.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on Vogue’scover three times during President Barack Obama’s two terms in office and Jill Biden landed two Vogue covers during President Joe Biden’s term.
MELANIA TRUMP LAUNCHES ‘ON THE MOVE’ DIGITAL PHOTO SERIES HIGHLIGHTING HER ‘FAST-MOVING LIFE’
Melania Trump appeared in Vogue once before, in 2005, after marrying Donald Trump, then a real estate mogul.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, one staffer said their objection was political: “We are not going to normalize this despot and his wife; we’re just not going to do it. We’re going to stand for what’s right.”
The editor added they would risk their careers over the decision and predicted that many in the newsroom would also leave: “If I have to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe’s, I’ll do it. If [Guiducci] puts Melania on the cover, half of the editorial staff will walk out, I guarantee it.”
The first lady’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Not everyone agreed. Another employee told the Daily Mail the backlash would be short-lived.
“It’s all talk. If they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don’t see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that,” the staffer said.
They added: “Honestly, there will be people who push back, but it’s ultimately Mark’s decision. He’s the one who will sink or swim over that choice, not the rest of us.”

Brittany Mahomes reacts to Swift-Kelce engagement after speculated election rift
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement has rocked the sports and entertainment worlds, and congratulations are pouring in from far and wide for the celebrity couple as they begin this next chapter of their love journey.
Among those wishing the couple the best was Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who went on her Instagram Stories to share her excitement to hear the news.
“Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love,” the 29-year-old wrote with a white heart and crying-happy-faced emojis. “Just so happy for these two.”

Patrick Mahomes shared the joint Instagram post on his Stories, adding three red hearts over the engagement photos that Kelce and Swift jointly shared on the social media app.
Brittany Mahomes and Swift share a strong friendship, with her husband recently telling reporters that Kelce and Swift called his wife after recording the popular “New Heights” podcast episode.
TAYLOR SWIFT AND NFL STAR TRAVIS KELCE ARE ENGAGED AFTER 2 YEARS TOGETHER
“They didn’t call me. They called Brittany. I was in the back of the FaceTime,” Mahomes said at training camp, while reflecting on the big announcement Swift made on the show about her upcoming album, .
“Just knowing Taylor and being a little closer to the process of how she makes the albums, it’s going to be amazing because of all the work that she puts into it. And what better place to announce it than the ‘New Heights’ podcast, where I feel like she can be herself and showcase who she is.”
Brittany Mahomes and Swift’s friendship sprouted in recent years when the latter made her relationship with Kelce public. Given Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are best friends on and off the field, it only seemed right their significant others would bond while watching them on gameday, which is exactly what happened.
During the 2024 presidential election, there were rumors of a potential rift after Swift endorsed then-Vice President Kamala Harris, while Brittany Mahomes liked a post from President Donald Trump on Instagram and wrote several messages responding to critics.
Those rumors heated up when they sat in separate suites during the Chiefs’ first game of the 2024 season against the Baltimore Ravens, and Trump himself added fuel to that fire after an interview on “Fox & Friends” where he said he liked Brittany “much better” than Swift.

But those rumors are clearly dispelled now, as the Mahomes family couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter with their friends.
Perhaps Brittany Mahomes and Swift will be spotted once more together, as the Chiefs kick off their 2025 regular-season campaign in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5.
‘I felt violated’: Mom says British Airways crew exposed her mid-flight
A California mother says she was left “violated” on a British Airways red-eye flight in June when a crew member lifted her nursing cover without consent, exposing her while she breastfed her infant daughter.
Shayanne Wright, a Costa Mesa business owner and city commissioner, was traveling alone with her then 7-month-old on the long-haul flight.
She says she alerted the crew ahead of meal service that she would be nursing her baby to sleep and asked for her meal to be served afterward, a request she says was denied.
During meal service, Wright says the attendant tapped her thigh several times. “I stuck my hand out to wave him away,” she recalled. “Then, without asking, he lifts the nursing cover up completely. It wakes her up. Both my boobs are out. And he doesn’t even apologize. He goes, ‘Do you want your meal?’”
AIR CANADA REACHES TENTATIVE DEAL WITH FLIGHT ATTENDANTS, TO RESUME OPERATIONS
Wright described further unwanted physical contact during the flight, including repeated touches on her leg and attempts to fasten her seatbelt for her. “There was just a very hostile, physically invasive vibe,” she said.
British Airways has acknowledged receiving Wright’s complaint. In a statement to FOX Business, the airline said: “We have looked into these allegations and have been in contact with our customer directly to resolve the matter.” Wright disputes that, saying the airline never directly apologized and instead offered gift cards of $250 and later $1,000.
“It honestly felt like I was complaining about a broken headset,” she said. “It’s taken threatening legal action to get them to pay attention.”
Frustrated by what she describes as a form response, Wright turned to Reddit’s r/breastfeeding community. Her viral post struck a nerve, racking up more than 600,000 views.
“It was extremely validating,” she said. “So many women urging me not to let it go gave me the confidence to push forward.”
SPIRIT AIRLINES WARNS IT MAY NOT SURVIVE ANOTHER YEAR
Wright says she has characterized the incident to the airline as sexual harassment.
“That’s what it was,” she said, though she emphasizes that her original hope was for training and accountability rather than punishment. “At the beginning, my best-case scenario was that they would implement sensitivity training around this. They’ve just totally avoided any semblance of accountability.”
Some questioned her decision to travel with an infant in business class. Wright rejects that: “I paid the same amount of money as everybody else. I was wearing a cover. I waved him away. There’s nothing else I could have done differently.”
She also reminds those who do not support young families traveling the legality of breastfeeding in public. “Feeding your baby is a basic need. A cover isn’t even required. It’s legal to do everywhere, and most airlines allow it regardless.”
Both U.S. and U.K. regulations explicitly protect the rights of breastfeeding mothers when flying.
In the United States, the TSA exempts breast milk and formula from standard liquid restrictions, and in the U.K., breastfeeding is protected under the Equality Act 2010.
While the airline’s website lacks a dedicated breastfeeding policy, Condé Nast Traveler reported that British Airways said, “We carry thousands of infants and their families on our flights every year … And we welcome breastfeeding on board.”
GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO
For Wright, the experience has solidified her determination to speak out. “Never apologize for protecting that space you’re creating for your child with nursing,” she said.
While she vows never to fly British Airways again, her message to airlines is simple: “Just because someone is nursing, that’s not an invitation to touch them, their cover, or their baby. Stay away from that space.”
Bedbugs love these American metropolitan areas — and one city in particular
When it comes to city living, most people expect the hustle and bustle of traffic and busy sidewalks, but probably don’t think of pests.
Orkin has released its latest bedbug report, spotlighting which cities have the biggest infestations.
The list is based on both commercial and residential treatment data from metro areas between May 15, 2024, to May 14, 2025.
FLESH-EATING PARASITE CASE DETECTED IN US TRAVELER RETURNING FROM CENTRAL AMERICA
Ben Hottel, an Orkin entomologist based in Atlanta, said in a press release it is “critical that people know the best ways to identify, prevent and control these pests.”
“Bedbugs are some of the most resilient pests in the world, making them extremely difficult to control if brought into a home or hotel,” he said.
Bedbugs are small, measuring around 3/16 inches long, and prefer human hosts to pets, according to Orkin.
“Clinging to items such as luggage, purses and other personal belongings, bedbugs can travel from place to place with ease,” the release states.

For the fifth year in a row, Chicago holds the top spot as the most bedbug-infested city.
In second place this year is Cleveland, Ohio, followed by Detroit, Michigan.
Los Angeles, California, took third place, followed by Indianapolis, Indiana.
Orkin gave Hartford, Connecticut, a notable mention for the biggest leap in the list, “debuting at No. 35 after jumping an unprecedented 48 spots — indicating a significant increase in bedbug activity.”

Charlotte, North Carolina; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and New York City all saw significant drops.
Out of the 50 cities, Houston, Texas, came in last as the least infested.
Prevention tips
Orkin shared the following tips to keep bedbugs at bay.
“Search the room for signs of infestation, looking for bedbugs, which are small, flat, oval-shaped insects that are brown and about the size of an apple seed.”
“Bedbugs are some of the most resilient pests in the world, making them extremely difficult to control.”
“Lift sheets, curtains and cushions to check for bedbugs or signs of bedbugs.”
“Elevate your luggage onto racks and keep it away from the bed or other furniture.”
“Examine your luggage carefully while repacking and again when you return home.”
“Place all dryer-safe clothing from your luggage in the dryer for 30 to 45 minutes at the highest heat setting upon returning home.”
DNC members unanimously pass DEI resolution despite Republican backlash
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is reaffirming its support for diversity, equity, and inclusion, better known to millions of Americans by its acronym, DEI.
The DNC’s Resolutions Committee, meeting on Tuesday during the second day of the national party’s annual summer meeting, unanimously passed a resolution affirming what it highlighted as the “American Values’ of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The approval of the resolution, which will face a vote by the full 400-plus DNC membership on Wednesday, comes amid relentless conservative backlash against DEI programs in recent years.
DNC CHAIR DEMANDS DEMOCRATS ‘STOP BRINGING A PENCIL TO A KNIFE FIGHT’
During the 2024 election cycle, now-President Donald Trump and Republicans repeatedly criticized Democrats for their longstanding support for DEI efforts and transgender rights, turning the Democrats’ stance into a political liability.
Republicans spent tens of millions on ads last year bashing transgender women in female sports. A commercial targeting then-Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee last summer and autumn, argued that “Kamala is for they/them, Donald Trump is for you.”
DEMOCRATS DIVIDED: TENSIONS FLARE OVER WAR IN GAZA
Following last year’s election setbacks, when Democrats lost control of the White House and Senate and failed to win back the House majority, some in the party have second-guessed their support for DEI and transgender rights.
Trump, in the opening months of his second term in the White House, has signed several executive orders taking aim at transgender and DEI policies implemented by then-President Joe Biden and by major universities and corporations.
But DNC committee member Bill Owen of Tennessee, who spoke in support of the resolution in front of the panel, took aim at Republicans as he praised DEI values.
HEAD HERE FOR THE LATEST FOX NEWS REPORTING ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION
“These are American values. This is what America was built on,” Owen said. “And to my Republican friends and fellow citizens…who profess to be active Christians, I remind them that D.E.I.is the very foundation of the Christian church. I get a little emotional on this, but Jesus loves little children. All the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white.”
“This week’s DNC meeting has proven once again just how disconnected Democrats are from the values and priorities of everyday Americans,” RNC communications director Zach Parkinson told Fox News Digital. “The DNC reaffirmed their party’s support for radical, racist DEI ideology and insulted Christians across the country by saying DEI is ‘the very foundation’ of Christianity. It’s no wonder Democrats’ approval rating is in the toilet.”
The vote by the Resolutions Committee on the DEI resolution came a day after Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’ running mate on the Democrats’ 2024 national ticket, said in an address at the DNC summer meeting that “we’re proud to be a diverse party. We are proud of the diversity of this country. We’re not shying away from diversity as a strength and equity as a goal and inclusion being the air we breathe. That’s what we should be doing.”

DEI efforts have been aimed at fostering fair treatment and full participation for all people, particularly those who have faced discrimination or underrepresentation.
But Trump, upon returning to the White House at the beginning of this year, called DEI efforts “illegal and immoral discrimination programs” and “public waste.”
New mom raises alarm about ‘very scary’ juvenile crime terrifying Dem-run city
A weekend fire that destroyed a Baltimore school playground has reignited a broader fight over how Maryland should respond to youth crime.
Two suspects, ages 12 and 13, were arrested in connection to the fire, which reportedly caused more than $100,000 in damage, WBFF reported. Images posted on Facebook by the Baltimore City Fire Department Engine 57 show flames towering over a charred play structure.
While the arson case alarmed parents and neighbors, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore defended the state’s strategy and pointed to falling violence statewide.
President Donald Trump, by contrast, said Sunday that he would send the National Guard to Baltimore to “quickly clean up the crime” if Moore asked for help. Moore has rejected calls to consider deploying the National Guard to assist local police, though.
TRUMP SAYS HE COULD SEND THE NATIONAL GUARD TO MARYLAND TO ADDRESS CRIME
Moore had earlier invited Trump to attend a public safety walk in the crime-ridden city in September, saying in an Aug. 21 letter that the event would provide an opportunity to “discuss strategies for effective public safety policy.”
Appearing on CBS News’ “Face the Nation”on Sunday, Moore claimed that under his leadership, Maryland has seen one of the fastest drops in violent crime in the nation.
ROCKS HURLED THROUGH DC CHURCH’S STAINED-GLASS WINDOWS, CAR DESTROYED AS FEDERAL CRIME CRACKDOWN CONTINUES
“The results have been incredibly encouraging,” Moore said. “Maryland has had among the fastest drops of violent crime than anywhere in the United States in the past two and a half years. The homicide rate is down over 20% since I have been the governor. The last time the homicide rate was this low in Baltimore City, I was not born yet.”
On city streets, some have said the numbers don’t capture daily reality.
Outside the Mondawmin Mall Metro SubwayLink station on Monday, a man who gave his name as Steve didn’t mince words.
FBI REVEALS 1.3M CRIMES AT PUBLIC SCHOOLS. A NIGHTMARE OF VIOLENCE AWAITS OUR KIDS
“Juvenile crime is out of whack,” he told WBFF, arguing that repeat offenders are too often returned to the streets. “They need to put them kids, especially repeat offenders, they need to lock them up,” he said, adding that parents should face charges in some cases.
A young mother pushing a stroller shared similar fears. Crime in Baltimore “is very hectic,” she told the outlet. “It’s very scary, especially for the new generation and a new mom… It’s very alarming to raise your kids here.”
Even as official numbers show a dip in crime, Republican lawmakers have said the stats don’t tell the full story. Maryland Senate Minority Leader Justin Ready, a Republican, told the outlet that complaints about youth crime are still pouring into his office.
“Just over the weekend, in Baltimore, there was a terrible incident with a playground where (juveniles) set fire to it,” Ready said. “Local law enforcement is continuing to tell us, ‘We’re still not getting young people who are picked up repeatedly getting the help and treatment of DJS.'”
DC DEMOCRATS RISK LOSING PUBLIC TRUST BY DODGING YOUTH CRIME CRISIS TRUMP IS ADDRESSING
Moore’s newly appointed Department of Juvenile Services secretary, Betsy Fox Tolentino, acknowledged the public’s frustration but insisted progress is being made.
“I think everyone’s concerns are valid concerns,” Tolentino told the outlet. “We have made a lot of progress, especially in Baltimore, in driving down violent crime, and that includes juvenile crime. But until every person feels safe, and the community has trust and confidence in the department, we certainly have work to do.”
Moore’s communications director, David Turner, doubled down late Monday, saying that “public safety remains the governor’s top priority,” and that the administration continues to work with state and local partners to increase accountability.
“As Maryland’s chief executive, there is no higher priority than public safety. Though juvenile crime numbers across Maryland continue to drop, we will continue to work in partnership with the general assembly, state’s attorneys, local leaders, and advocates to promote accountability for criminal acts and take swift action to keep our communities safe,” Moore’s office shared in a statement with Fox News Digital.
Moore’s office told Fox News Digital that the state’s programs are working and there have been “encouraging results.”
“But the work is not done,” his office said. “One person who doesn’t feel safe in their community is too many and Governor Moore will continue his all-of-the-above approach to public safety to make our communities safer and hold violent offenders accountable.
Community leaders have begun organizing to rebuild the school playground.
“Today was a tough day. My heart is heavy, and I’m feeling so many emotions right now,” Kendra Summers commented on a Facebook post of the damage shared by Baltimore City Fire Department’s Engine 57. “Our school playground, a space that has meant so much to our students, families, and staff, was destroyed by arson. It’s hard to process, especially with the first day of school just around the corner on Monday.”

Summers said despite the fire, she was “choosing to focus on the good” and reminisce on the journey of the playground’s construction, which took place in May 2019.
“This community is resilient, and while today’s events are heartbreaking, I know we will rise above them. We will rebuild, and we will continue to grow,” she added.
The fire department also encouraged the community to come together to help rebuild the playground.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Baltimore City Public School District for comment.
