Rudy Giuliani seriously injured in car wreck
A spokesman for Rudy Giuliani says the 81‑year‑old former New York City mayor was seriously injured in a car crash in New Hampshire on Saturday night.
According to an official statement shared with Fox News Digital, Giuliani was flagged down by a woman fleeing a domestic-violence incident. He helped the woman and called 911, remaining on the scene until police arrived.
While later traveling on the highway, his rental vehicle was hit from behind at high speed.
He is in “good spirits and recovering tremendously,” spokesman and head of security Michael Ragusa told Fox News Digital.

“He’ll be released in a few days and he’s doing great. Conscious, alert, strong. He’ll be back to business as usual this week,” Ragusa added.

Charlie Woods sinks perfect 177-yard shot as famous father’s talent emerges
Charlie Woods added another hole-in-one to his young resume, this time doing so at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Woods, the 16-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, stepped up to his tee shot on the par-3 third hole, and he hit a pure shot as it drew into the green 177 yards away.
Woods watched as the ball landed on the green, and it drained, leading to a celebration on the tee box with his playing partners.

Woods ended up carding a 72, which was even-par, on Sunday. He finished 7-over for the tournament, which had him well outside the top of the leaderboard.
This wasn’t the first hole-in-one of Woods’ career, as he hit one while playing alongside his father at the PNC Championship in December 2024, with his father ecstatic when he saw the ball fall into the hole.
AGE NO BARRIER AS GOLF LOVER SINKS ‘MIRACLE’ HOLE-IN-ONE FOR 90TH BIRTHDAY
Tiger had 20 hole-in-ones during his legendary career, though only three occurred during official PGA Tour events.
He may not have won this tournament, but Woods added some hardware to his trophy case earlier this year with the Team TaylorMade Invitational win at Streamsong Resort Black Course in Bowling Green, Florida. It was his first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) victory of his young career.
Woods has more wins on his resume, as he won the 14-15-year-old category at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Major Championship in June 2023. He also won the Last Chance Regional golf tournament later that year.
Woods qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur last summer, but he failed to make the cut there.
Of course, the expectations are going to be astronomical for Woods due to his father’s accomplishments, but the talent is certainly there to go the distance as a professional.

Tiger has 82 professional wins under his belt, including the career Grand Slam with wins at the Masters, U.S. Open, Open Championship and PGA Championship. Those 82 wins are tied with Sam Snead for the most ever.
President Trump delivers a win for Americans not seen in years — right on time for the holiday
This Labor Day, motorists will see the lowest gas prices in half a decade.
GasBuddy projects the national average at $3.15 a gallon — the cheapest holiday weekend at the pump since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought global travel to a halt.
TRADERS BET AGAINST RECESSION AS TRUMP’S ECONOMIC POLICIES SHOW REMARKABLE GAINS
“Thanks to President Trump fully unleashing American energy dominance, gas prices this summer are at five-year lows and families are saving significant money at the pump,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital.
“President Trump ended Joe Biden’s green new scam policies and is making America affordable again,” Leavitt added.
In 2024, gas prices stood at $3.29 per gallon, and the year prior reached $3.77.
The revelation comes as the Trump administration pushes ahead on energy dominance — a key pillar of the president’s economic and national security agenda.
With fuel prices heading into the holiday weekend at the lowest point in years, Energy Secretary Chris Wright argued that the administration’s energy agenda is directly benefiting consumers.
ENERGY PRICES SOAR AS BIDEN PURSUES GREEN AGENDA
“President Trump campaigned on lowering costs and this Labor Day weekend, the American people will see the results firsthand at the gas pump — with the lowest gas prices in years,” Wright told Fox News Digital.
“His approach is simple and commonsense: more American energy means lower costs, more jobs, and more prosperity,” Wright added.
What’s more, analysts see additional relief coming in September as gasoline demand falls as motorists take fewer road trips.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, estimates that the national gas price average could fall below $3 a gallon.

“Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and when it comes to gas prices, it’s been the cheapest summer to hit the road since the pandemic, a trend that will likely continue,” De Haan said in a statement.
“We’ve seen a remarkably affordable summer to hit the road with incomes up and gas prices down,” De Haan said in a statement, adding with the caveat that hurricane season, uncertainty over trade, and Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine could put upward pressure on prices.
Orlando Bloom survived on tuna and cucumber for film that made him ‘horrible person’
Orlando Bloom admitted that he was not himself while losing a third of his bodyweight for his role in his upcoming movie “The Cut.”
The 48-year-old actor dropped 52 pounds to play a boxer, who comes out of retirement to fight for his last shot at a championship title and becomes obsessed in his effort to make weight.
During a Wednesday appearance on the British talk show “This Morning,” Bloom opened up about the grueling physical and mental toll of the rigorous regimen that he used to achieve his drastic body transformation.
“I was exhausted mentally, physically. I was hangry,” Bloom recalled. “I was a horrible person to be around. The paranoia, the intrusive thoughts.”
ORLANDO BLOOM THOUGHT HE ‘WAS GONNA DIE’ FROM 52-POUND WEIGHT LOSS FOR NEW MOVIE
“I wouldn’t recommend doing it at home,” he added. “It would be not something to take lightly.”
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star explained that he worked with nutritionist Philip Goglia, who previously advised Christian Bale on the “Batman Begins” star’s extreme physical transformation for roles.
Bloom said that Goglia had him gradually reduce his daily meals from three to two to one and routinely checked his blood levels during the process. The actor recalled struggling most with giving up his Form Nutrition protein powder.
“Suddenly, all these foods were being taken away from me, and my protein powder was the last one,” he said. “I was like, ‘No! Don’t take that one.’ Then basically I came down to just [eating] tuna and cucumber for the last three weeks.”

Bloom explained that “The Cut” was filmed in reverse order so the final scenes showed him at his lowest weight.
“I had no energy or brain power,” he said. “So it was basically tuna and cucumber until this piece at the end where I’m trying to make the weight.”
Bloom recalled how he pushed himself despite his physical exhaustion.
“I was lying down between takes on set,” Bloom said. “Then I’d do my push-ups to look a bit bulkier.”

Bloom explained that he found his character’s motivations “relatable” despite the unhealthy measures that he takes to lose weight in pursuit of his goal.
“We’re supposed to eat and sleep and take care of ourselves,” he continued. “It’s really a commentary on what people — the lengths this person will go to, to have that second shot.”
“And I think that’s so relatable,” Bloom added.
Bloom said the physical transformation improved his performance.
“I’ve always wanted to sort of burn the barn down, take the brakes off, go for something,” he said. “And this was a role that gave me that opportunity.”
“It really sort of lends itself to the performance because you are feeling all the things that you’re seeing on camera,” Bloom added. “It was definitely intense.”
During a September 2024 interview with People magazine, Bloom shared how his former partner Katy Perry found his transformation harrowing. He said that Perry “was freaked out” after viewing “The Cut.”
“She watched it and was like, ‘I need a stiff drink,'” he recalled of Perry.
Bloom told the outlet that Perry cried at the film’s worldwide premiere on Sept. 5 2024, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
“She was really moved. She knew what it took,” Bloom said.

Yankees captain Aaron Judge makes history with monster blast, tying team legend
Aaron Judge rewrote the New York Yankees’ record books against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon.
In his first at-bat, Judge belted his 358th career home run, driving an 0-2 cutter off Martín Pérez to deep left-center field to give the Yankees the lead.
The blast was not just his 43rd of the season, but it tied him with the great Yogi Berra for fifth-most in Yankees history.

Judge almost put himself in sole possession of fifth place after driving a double off the wall in center field in the third inning.
The two-time AL MVP, who serves as Yankees captain, has some work to do to reach Babe Ruth’s 659 career home runs as a member of the “Bronx Bombers.” But Judge continued to put himself on a Hall of Fame trajectory for his career, and the accolades keep piling up.
TRUMP RENEWS PITCH TO GET ROGER CLEMENS INTO HALL OF FAME: ‘IF IT WERE ME, I’D SUE THEM’
It’s a matter of when at this point for Judge to break Berra’s career record, but Joe DiMaggio, who sits fourth all-time with 361 career homers, could also move down the list by the time Judge is done playing this season.
Ruth’s home run total, which is also third all-time in MLB history, leads the Yankees with Mickey Mantle (536) and Lou Gehrig (493) behind him.
Judge, 33, remains arguably the best hitter in MLB, and Yankees fans are hoping he can continue to move himself up the franchise’s record books because it means he’s still performing at an MVP level.
Unfortunately, Judge’s record-setting blast wasn’t enough for the Yankees to sweep the White Sox, who salvaged a win in their weekend series, 3-2, at home on Sunday.
More Judge blasts will be needed for New York, which remains deadlocked in a postseason race entering the final month of the regular season this week. The Yankees own the first wild card slot in the American League at 76-61. But that is only three games back of the Toronto Blue Jays for the AL East division lead.

The Yankees are obviously gunning for the division victory to ensure home field for at least the wild card round of the postseason. They entered a crucial week against the Houston Astros and Blue Jays, starting Tuesday night on the road in Houston.
Trump’s CMS chief slams ‘legalized money laundering’ in Medicaid system
Dr. Mehmet Oz, the newly sworn-in administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), reflected on his lifelong commitment to “change” during an appearance on “My View with Lara Trump,” saying he now brings that mission to “the best job of his life” in Washington, D.C.
Oz emphasized that Medicaid should not entrap Americans in dependency, but rather empower them to take control of their futures through work requirements and stronger anti-fraud enforcement.
“Our bottom line is the American people,” Oz said. “Every decision I have in this office changes how billions of dollars are spent in order to incentivize the right behavior and empower them to take action.”
‘GET A JOB’: MEDICAID WORK REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED IN TRUMP’S MEGABILL SPARKS PARTISAN DEBATE ON CAPITOL HILL
A former television host turned politician, Oz views politics as a natural extension of his mission to enact meaningful change. Reflecting on his 2022 Senate loss in Pennsylvania to Sen. John Fetterman, he said that the campaign deepened his understanding of the intersection between policy and politics.
“For me, politics was an obvious next step, because if you really want to change the country for the better, you have to get involved with decisions that are being made. Instead of complaining about it, you might as well roll your sleeves up, get in the ring, and start fighting for what you think matters. And that’s what 2022 taught me,” he said.
DR. OZ TOUTS INVESTMENT IN MEDICAID: ‘I’M TRYING TO SAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL PROGRAM’
Since his April 2025 confirmation as CMS administrator, Oz has placed Medicaid reform high on his agenda—including modernizing programs and cutting fraud, waste, and abuse. He argued that, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program drifted away from its original mission outlined more than 60 years ago.
“Abuse happened… because there were these mechanisms to pay states extra money, so they weren’t responsible for their own actions. It was basically legalized money laundering,” he said. “It takes people out of the trap of being stuck in Medicaid, and it also allows them to move up the ladder, get jobs, make more money, get out of poverty, and begin to feel more pride in what they’re achieving in life.”

Rare Jesus Christ mural found in 1,500-year-old Egyptian ruins tells remarkable story
Archaeologists recently unearthed two churches in Egypt that are over 1,500 years old, offering rare evidence of Christianity’s rise in the country’s Western Desert.
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced the discovery in a press release in late July. The churches were found at Kharga Oasis, an ancient settlement roughly 350 miles southwest of Cairo.
The site is known for its notable ancient Christian remains, including cemeteries and churches. It has been inhabited since antiquity, thanks to underground water sources.
ANCIENT CHRISTIAN CHURCH REVEALS MYSTERIOUS 1,600-YEAR-OLD WARNING TO NONBELIEVERS: ‘ONLY THE RIGHTEOUS’
Archaeologists uncovered the remains of an entire settlement at Kharga Oasis, the translated press release said. Multiple residential buildings made of mudbrick were found, with some walls still retaining plaster.
Egyptian officials shared one photo of the site, showing the mudbrick ruins of the settlement.
The team also uncovered ovens and large clay jars set into the ground for storing food, according to officials. Other finds included inscribed pottery shards, vessels, glass and stone pieces, and several burials.

The centerpiece of the excavation, however, was the discovery of two churches. Both structures date back to the early Coptic era, Egypt’s Christianization period that began in the 4th century A.D.
One church was a grand basilica made of mudbrick, with the remnants of a large hall and two aisles, officials said.

The second church, which was smaller, had a rectangular layout and was surrounded “by the remains of seven external columns,” officials said.
“Some of its inner walls were decorated with Coptic inscriptions,” the translated statement said. “To the west of this church, remains of service buildings were also found.”
Beyond the churches, archaeologists also uncovered a remarkable mural of Jesus Christ healing a sick person – a rare depiction during that period.
No pictures of the mural were released, likely due to conservation reasons.
Officials said that the area “witnessed the transition from paganism to Christianity.”
“[This discovery] sheds light on a significant era in the history of the Kharga Oasis, namely the beginnings of the Coptic period in Egypt,” the translated press release concluded. “[It also reflects] the importance of Egypt’s Western Oases as centers of religious and social life in different eras.”

Tennis star breaks down mid-match when unwelcome visitor appears in stands
Czech tennis star Karolina Muchova needed to rally against her Romanian opponent, Sorana Cîrstea in the second round of the U.S. Open.
Muchova was down 4-1 in the second set on Thursday when she needed to briefly halt the match. She began to get emotional and admitted after the match it was because she saw her ex-boyfriend sitting in the crowd.

She rallied to defeat Cîrstea in three sets.
“Well… it wasn’t tennis-related,” she told reporters after the match, via The Athletic. “So l don’t really like talking about it. But opposite my bench, my ex-boyfriend sat down. He sometimes shows up at places where he shouldn’t be. That startled me a bit. I told him to leave, he didn’t, but later he did go. It was hard to focus in that moment.”
Muchova hadn’t mentioned the man to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) or the United States Tennis Association (USTA) before the tournament began and hasn’t done so after Thursday’s incident, The Athletic reported.
Tennis players can request certain spectators to be blacklisted from ticket sales or being able to receive credentials. An alleged stalker of Emma Raducanu appeared at the Dubai Tennis Championships in February. The man was blacklisted from purchasing tickets for Wimbledon.

Muchova said Saturday after moving on to the round of 16 that she was doing well and didn’t report the person to tennis officials.
“Player safety is a critical element of our planning and execution for the U.S. Open,” a USTA spokesperson told the outlet. “Our comprehensive security plan includes protocols and procedures for effective risk mitigation and issue management. We work closely with the ATP, WTA, ITF, ITIA and the other Grand Slam events to stay informed of all relevant situations and concerns.
“The U.S. Open is in constant communication with local and federal law enforcement, who also maintain a presence at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. We utilize both physical and technological means throughout the event to monitor and maintain security, including online threats to players.”
