Student expelled after acting out Charlie Kirk’s assassination at Texas State vigil
A Texas State University student was expelled on Tuesday after being caught on video acting out conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination during an on-campus memorial event hosted by a local Turning Point USA chapter.
The video, filmed on the university’s San Marcos campus Monday, appeared to show the male student with a backpack cursing at the crowd, hitting his neck and pretending he was shot.
The man then stood up in front of a statue, said “Hi, my name is Charlie Kirk” and acted out the assassination, falling to the ground, further mocking the death of the 31-year-old father of two.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called for the student’s expulsion in an X post.
“Hey Texas State. This conduct is not accepted at our schools,” Abbott wrote. “Expel this student immediately. Mocking assassination must have consequences.”
Texas State President Kelly Damphousse later confirmed the student in the video was identified.
“I will not tolerate behavior that mocks, trivializes, or promotes violence on our campuses,” Damphousse wrote in a statement. “It is antithetical to our TXST values. The individual is no longer a student at TXST.”
Damphousse added federal law prevents the university from commenting further on individual student conduct matters.

Turning Point USA did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The incident comes just one day after an 18-year-old Texas Tech student was arrested and expelled for allegedly making disturbing comments at a vigil for Kirk.

Booker was charged with misdemeanor assault, according to a spokesperson for the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.

Big city fire chief on leave over ‘incendiary’ post mocking Charlie Kirk’s death
The chief of the Cleveland Division of Fire was placed on paid administrative leave after sharing an “insensitive” and “incendiary” social media post in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Mayor Justin Bibb announced Tuesday.
The since-deleted Facebook post by Anthony P. Luke referred to Kirk and featured a cartoon showing elephants worshiping a golden rifle with one elephant declaring, “Bring out the next sacrifice!!” according to Fox 8 News.
The post reportedly appeared on Luke’s personal Facebook page after Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two, was tragically killed at a college campus event in Utah Sept. 10.
Bibb said the post “crossed the line.”

Donald Trump’s stay at Windsor Castle during his state visit will be nothing but the best for the American president.
On Tuesday, President Trump and first lady Melania arrived in the U.K., where they were greeted by Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. They spent the night at Windsor Castle, according to The Guardian.
While no public events were planned for the evening, the festivities are set to begin on Wednesday as the couple will be hosted by King Charles III. Ahead of the couple’s arrival, hundreds of staff worked through the halls and grounds of the nearly 1,000-year-old castle to ensure the monarch welcomed the couple in true royal fashion.

“I like to think President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will sleep in the lavish State apartments,” British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. “Paintings of kings, queens and lords of the Garter in ornate frames will join them as they sleep.”
The castle is steeped in pomp, pageantry and history. William the Conqueror began building it in 1070 on high ground above the River Thames, near a hunting forest and a day’s march from the Tower of London, according to the royal family’s website. The castle was expanded in the 1360s by Edward III, who created St. George’s Hall for his knights of the newly founded Order of the Garter. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were described as “devoted to Windsor” and spent much of their time there.
During World War II, Windsor Castle was home to a young Princess Elizabeth and her sister Princess Margaret. The late Queen Elizabeth II also used Windsor as her residence during the coronavirus pandemic, spending significant time there during her final years.

Ahead of his visit, Trump hailed the “great honor” of being hosted by his “friend” at “the ultimate” Windsor Castle for his second state visit, the U.K.’s Standard reported.
“My relationship is very good with the U.K., and Charles, as you know, who’s now king, is my friend,” Trump told reporters, quoted by the outlet. “It’s the first time this has ever happened where somebody was honored twice. So, it’s a great honor.”
“And this one’s at Windsor,” said Trump, 79. “And I don’t want to say one’s better than the other, but they say Windsor Castle is the ultimate, right? So, it’s going to be nice.”
“Primarily it’s to be with Charles and Camilla,” he continued. “They’ve been friends of mine for a long time, long before he was king, and it’s an honor to have this king.”
After the welcoming ceremonies, the Trumps are set to view an exhibit of documents and artwork highlighting Britain’s special relationship with the U.S., according to The Associated Press.
The true centerpiece of the state visit is the banquet in St. George’s Hall. The Waterloo Table, about half the length of a football field, can seat up to 160 guests. The Associated Press reported it takes five full days to set the table, which is laid with more than 4,000 pieces, including 200-year-old silver.

Men are expected to wear white ties and tailcoats, while women don designer gowns and jewels. Both the Princess of Wales and Queen Camilla are expected to wear tiaras.
Chef Darren McGrady, a royal chef for 15 years who cooked for five U.S. presidents, told Fox News Digital that guests can expect plenty of royal etiquette.
“You wouldn’t have something like a banana, take it off the tray and peel it like a monkey,” he said. “You would … slice it into rings and eat it with a fork. If there are pears, you cut off the top and use a teaspoon.
“Grapes are the best option because they’re already cut into small bunches. Pineapples may look whole on the table, but they’ve already been sliced. When you lift the top off, there will already be rings with the centers removed. And if things get messy, there are finger bowls with warm water to dip and clean your fingers.”

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and author of “My Mother and I,” previously told Fox News Digital that royal watchers can expect the king, 76, to roll out the red carpet for the Trumps.
“This particular state visit is very significant,” she said. “Everyone is calling it the ‘soft power’ of the monarchy. King Charles can’t do anything remotely political or even say anything remotely political because that’s our constitution. He’s head of state, and he’s monarch, but he doesn’t get involved in politics. … But this event strengthens the relationship between both nations, and it’s one everyone is looking forward to.”

Trump is the first U.S. president to be invited for two state visits by a British monarch. The late queen hosted him and Melania in 2019 during his first administration. William and Kate also took part in that visit.
Dearborn mayor tells Christian resident ‘you are not welcome here’ at city council meeting
At a Dearborn City Council meeting last week, Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud told local resident Edward “Ted” Barham, a Christian, that he was “not welcome” in the city after Barham raised concerns about new street signs honoring Arab American News publisher Osama Siblani.
FOX 2 Detroit reported that the signs honoring Siblani were placed at intersections on Warren Avenue by Wayne County, not the City of Dearborn. But the mayor escalated the debate, telling Barham, “Although you live here, you are not welcome here.”
Barham introduced himself as “Ted Barham, Dearborn resident,” and objected to two intersections being renamed after Siblani.
He said, “He’s a promoter of Hezbollah and Hamas” before quoting past remarks from Siblani, including, “He talks about how the blood of the martyrs irrigates the land of Palestine … whether we are in Michigan and whether we are in Yemen. Believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others fight with planes, drones, and rockets.”

Barham compared the signs to naming a road “Hezbollah Street or Hamas Street,” calling them “provocative” and stressing that as a Christian, he wanted to encourage peace. He closed by quoting Jesus: “Blessed are the peacemakers.”
Council members interjected, warning Barham against “personal attacks” and reminding him that the city had no control over the county’s decision.
One clarified, “The sign that was placed on Warren Avenue which is a County road and that was done by the Wayne County Executive.” But Barham maintained that the issue mattered to Dearborn residents because the signs stood in their city.

His name is up there and I spoke at a ceremony celebrating it because he’s done a lot for this community,” Hammoud said.
He went further, accusing Barham of being “a bigot, and you are racist, and you’re an Islamophobe,” before declaring: “Although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of this city.”
The controversy stems from Wayne County’s decision to honor Siblani with street signs in August.
FOX 2 Detroit reported the county commission approved the designation, not the city council. Hammoud and other local officials attended a ceremony celebrating the unveiling.

Notably absent were the top four House Democrats in senior leadership, including Jeffries.
Johnson, however, downplayed the lack of Democratic attendance in comments to reporters on Monday.

“I honestly did not even see the composition of the group,” he said when asked if he was disappointed in the number of Democrats who showed up.

Social Security boss tells Warren to stop ‘weaponizing’ agency as wait times plummet
The Social Security Administration is pushing back against Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., after she accused the agency of removing key data and covering up dysfunction.
In a Sept. 16, 2025 letter and data report shared exclusively with Fox News Digital, SSA Commissioner Frank J. Bisignano claimed Warren’s analysis was inaccurate.
He said the agency is more transparent and performing better under the Trump administration than it did under the prior administration. The documents reflect SSA’s position and have not been independently verified.
“SSA currently reports nearly three times the number of data elements on the performance webpage under the Trump Administration (30) than it did under the Biden Administration (11),” Bisignano wrote.

He also pushed back on Warren’s charge of a cover-up, saying SSA has made improvements in customer service, including “shorter wait times on the phones and in offices, as well as reduced backlogs.” Bisignano said 81 percent of performance measures are better than before, with the rest about the same.
According to SSA’s data, average phone wait times dropped from 29 minutes in 2024 to 16 minutes in 2025, with August down to just 9 minutes.

He also urged Warren to work with SSA instead of spreading what he called “fearmongering and reckless lies that Social Security is going away.”
“The time has come to stop weaponizing Social Security,” he wrote. “The American people do not want a Social Security War Room. They want their leaders to protect and preserve Social Security, just as President Trump has promised.”

ABC correspondent goes viral for gushy reaction to alleged Kirk assassin’s text messages
ABC News correspondent Matt Gutman is under fire for putting a spotlight on what he called the “very touching” text messages Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin sent to his transgender partner.
After the press conference announcing the murder charges against 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, Gutman marveled at “such specific text messages” that were unearthed about the murder weapon.
“But, also, it was very touching in a way that many of us didn’t expect,” Gutman said. “A very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect’s roommate and the suspect himself, with him repeatedly calling his roommate, who is transitioning, calling him ‘my love.’ And ‘I want to protect you, my love.’
“So, it was this duality of someone who the attorney said not only jeopardized the life of Charlie Kirk and the crowd, but was doing it in front of children, which is one of the aggravating circumstances of this case. And then, on the other hand, he was, you know, speaking so lovingly about his partner. So a very interesting and … riveting press conference.”

On ABC News’ livestream platform, Gutman doubled down, calling it “heartbreaking on so many levels,” linking Kirk’s brutal murder to the “portrait of a very human person.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a press conference in which we’ve read text messages that are A, so fulsome, so robust, so apparently allegedly self-incriminating and yet, on the other hand, so touching, right?” Gutman said.
“And the terminology he used, he was trying to protect him. He kept calling him ‘my love.’ ‘My reason for doing this is to protect you,’ you know, but also asking him to delete the messages and not speak to law enforcement. So, there’s this heartbreaking duality that we’re seeing very tragically playing out.”
Gutman quickly went viral with critics slamming his “disgusting” comments.

Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced Tuesday that Robinson is being charged with several counts, including aggravated murder.
Included in the indictment were text messages Robinson had sent to roommate Lance Twiggs, who Fox News Digital previously reported he had a romantic relationship with. Twiggs is a biological male who identifies as a woman.
“I am still ok my love, but am stuck in orem for a little while longer yet,” Robinson wrote in one exchange, according to the indictment. “Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.”

Diabetes risk quadruples with use of popular natural remedy, study finds
Adults who consume cannabis are nearly four times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who don’t, according to a new study.
Researchers led by Dr. Ibrahim Kamel from the Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts analyzed medical records from 54 healthcare organizations across the U.S. and Europe using the TriNetX Research Network.
They compared about 96,800 people with cannabis-related diagnoses, from casual users to those with dependency, to more than 4.16 million individuals who had no record of drug use or chronic illness.

Over a five-year period, 2.2% of cannabis users developed type 2 diabetes, compared to just 0.6% of non-users.
Even after adjusting for other health risks like high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease and alcohol or cocaine use, marijuana users still faced a higher risk.
Experts say a possible explanation is that marijuana affects appetite, metabolism and insulin resistance. Cannabis use is often associated with poor eating habits, which may contribute to rising blood sugar levels over time.

Given the increasing legalization of marijuana, it is often seen as an alternative to alcohol or tobacco, but the research suggests that its long-term risks could be more serious than many realize.
“As cannabis becomes more widely available and socially accepted and legalized in various jurisdictions, it is essential to understand its potential health risks,” Kamel stated in a press release.
The study does have some limitations, the researchers acknowledged. Its design is retrospective, meaning it looked back at patient records rather than tracking new cases over time. That makes it difficult to prove marijuana directly causes diabetes.

Additionally, someone who uses it occasionally may not face the same risks as someone who consumes it daily.
As the researchers pointed out, the study has the potential for bias, as it relied on people to self-report their cannabis use — even in places where it was illegal — and didn’t measure exactly how much they used.
Physicians may soon need to “routinely talk to patients about cannabis use so they can understand their overall diabetes risk and potential need for metabolic monitoring,” according to Kamel.

The plaintiff is seeking compensation for lost wages, hospital and medical expenses, general damages and loss of earning capacity due to the incident.
The lawsuit also cited “loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and anxiety.”
Renewed criticism recently resurfaced against DeGeneres about her alleged toxic behavior on her long-running daytime talk show.

Last month, a former cameraman on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” accused the television host of fostering a hostile workplace in which staffers lived in fear and sometimes had to give up family commitments.
According to staffers, DeGeneres, 67, disliked male employees and allegedly turned cold when they interacted with her wife, actress Portia de Rossi, 52. Crew members also recalled what insiders called the infamous “Ellen gaze.”
One former staffer described the look as “a queen searching for her next execution,” adding, “She was terrifying.”
De Rossi was described as “nice” and approachable with the crew, but employees said their jobs felt at risk if DeGeneres saw them chatting with her spouse.

“You just hoped and prayed you weren’t seated by her wife, so you didn’t get her attention,” the ex-staffer told the Daily Mail.
The latest allegations revive the backlash that hit DeGeneres in 2020, when several ex-employees accused the show of racism, intimidation and retaliation.
DeGeneres apologized on-air at the time, saying she had been unaware of the environment.
The former TV show host and de Rossi have since moved to the U.K., with DeGeneres citing President Trump’s 2024 election victory as the reason.
