Left-wing gun club recruits at Georgetown using phrase by alleged Charlie Kirk assassin

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s Sept. 10 assassination allegedly at the hands of a left-wing ideologue, a leftist gun club with ties to political violence posted recruiting flyers at Georgetown University with references to Kirk’s death.

“Hey fascist! Catch!” says a red flyer from the John Brown Gun Club posted on Georgetown’s campus

The phrase is a nod to the same slogan which was allegedly written on a shell casing by Tyler Robinson, who stands accused of murdering Kirk at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

UVU PROFESSOR AND FORMER FBI AGENT WARNS OF NEW PATTERN OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE AFTER CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION

“The only political group that celebrates when Nazis die,” the advertisement says.

It is adorned with a QR code linking to a page that reportedly says, “We’re building a community that’s done with ceremonial resistance and strongly worded letters. If you want to make a real change in your community, let us know below.”

Shae McInnis, a sophomore at Georgetown University and treasurer of the school’s College Republicans Club, found the posters in plain sight on the school’s activity board on Wednesday morning.

“So, obviously I read this immediately as a threat, not only for me but for everyone on this campus,” McInnis told Fox News Digital. “Every conservative, everyone who just does not subscribe to the prevailing leftist orthodoxy. This is a direct threat against them. It means that there are students at this campus who want to see conservatives dead rather than engaging with their ideas, rather than facilitating a political discourse.”

“Ever since President Trump won the election in January, we’ve seen an increase in this rhetoric,” he continued. “But really, I think many conservatives noticed a change after Charlie Kirk’s assassination. While much of the school was united in condemning this horrible act of political violence, there have been fringe elements on the left on social media that we have seen really defend this, justify this, and that is really unacceptable.

The Center for Counter Extremism lists the John Brown Gun Club as a “far-left group.”

Members of the organization frequently show up armed at left-wing political events under the guise of protecting protesters from right-wing counter-protesters, and the gun club is tied to recent anti-ICE violence.

YEARS OF CAMPUS ATTACKS ON CONSERVATIVE ACTIVISTS RESURFACE AFTER CHARLIE KIRK’S MURDER

On July 4, a dozen people attacked the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas.

A criminal complaint filed by the U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas alleges that assailants shot 20 to 30 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle before it jammed, causing it to malfunction.

Some of the suspects in that case are accused of setting off fireworks and graffiting ICE vehicles with slogans like “ICE Pig” in order to lure unarmed agents into a parking lot. At around the same time, more suspects allegedly opened fire from a nearby tree line, striking a local police officer and injuring him.

Eleven suspects face federal charges, including three counts of attempted murder of federal agents in addition to three counts of discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.

One of those suspects is Benjamin Song, a long-time antifa agitator who in 2023 was involved in a skirmish with a right-wing group called the New Columbia Movement during a drag event in Fort Worth.

A lawsuit filed by the New Columbia Movement says Song was at the event providing security as a member of the John Brown Gun Club’s Elm Fork Chapter. He was accused of pepper spraying members of the group, but never charged criminally.

CHARLIE KIRK WARNED ‘ASSASSINATION CULTURE IS SPREADING ON THE LEFT’ IN EERIE ONLINE POST MONTHS BEFORE MURDER

The club has chapters nationwide, and another member, Willem van Spronsen, was killed by authorities in 2019 when he tried to blow up an ICE detention center by igniting a propane tank and throwing Molotov cocktails at the building.

“You know, we’re totally comfortable with the fact that many people disagree with us, and that’s what a university is supposed to do,” said McInnis. “It’s supposed to sharpen ideas based on what people disagree with. But it’s not until I saw this poster early this morning that I ever felt directly threatened. I mean, this poster is directly calling for the death of conservatives on this campus.”

The club is named for militant slave abolitionist John Brown, who in 1856 orchestrated the Pottawatomie Massacre. He and fellow abolitionists dragged five Kansas settlers suspected of having pro-slavery sympathies out of their homes and executed them.

In October 1859, Brown led a 21-man raid on a federal armory in Harper’s Ferry, part of Virginia at the time. His goal was to start a slave uprising, but few slaves joined the fight. A local militia confronted Brown and his men and fought back. Four townspeople, including freed slave Heyward Shepherd, were caught in the crossfire and killed in the skirmish.

After 10 of his men were killed, Brown was captured. He was later tried for treason and eventually hanged.

“Georgetown University has no tolerance for calls for violence or threats to the university,” a spokesperson for the school told Fox News Digital. “The flyers have been removed and the university is investigating this incident and working to ensure the safety of our community.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was booed while attending the Ryder Cup opening ceremonies on Wednesday at Bethpage Black on Long Island.

NBC broadcaster Carson Daly was announcing the guests in attendance for the ceremony.

As he revealed the Democratic governor was in attendance, loud boos were heard on the broadcast. The telecast showed some people around Hochul clapping as she waved an American flag.

One person was heard shouting, “Get outta here Kathy!”

She smiled through it, but the fans at the Ryder Cup made their voices heard.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-New York, mocked Hochul on social media, calling the boos “brutal.”

“BAD DAY FOR the WORST GOVERNOR IN AMERICA,” Stefanik added.

Hochul’s attendance came two days before President Donald Trump will be in attendance for the start of the Ryder Cup between Team United States and Team Europe. Trump has golfed with players on both sides in recent years as he worked to try to repair the relationship between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

US RYDER CUP TEAM MEMBERS FACE CRITICISM FOR OUTFIT CHOICES FOR GALA DINNER

Scottie Scheffler said Tuesday that Trump’s presence at the tournament is “important.”

“To have the president here, it’s been a tough few weeks for our country with some of the stuff that’s been going on, and to have our president here and for us to represent the United States of America, albeit being in a golf tournament, is extremely important for us. And we’re excited to be on home soil with the home crowd, and we’re ready to get this tournament started,” Scheffler said.

Scheffler also revealed he has spoken with Trump after some of his big victories on the course, praising him as someone who “loves the game of golf” and “treats people with the utmost respect.”

“I get a call or a text from him sometimes after wins. He just loves the game of golf, and he’s one of those guys when you’re around him, he does such a good job of, like, feeding confidence into everybody around him,” Scheffler said.

“That was one of the things I noticed a lot with the little bit of time I spent with him, is he treats everybody the same and treats people with the utmost respect. Whether you’re the person serving us lunch or the caddie on the golf course or the guy who’s the president of the club that we’re at, he treats everybody like they’re the greatest person in the world.”

The Pentagon is preparing to ask President Donald Trump to authorize the execution of Nidal Hasan, the former Army major convicted of carrying out the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, a senior Department of Defense official told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

If approved, it would be the first U.S. military execution in more than six decades. Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist, killed 13 people and wounded 32 others in the attack.

Hasan entered Fort Hood’s Soldier Readiness Center armed with a semi-automatic pistol and opened fire on fellow service members preparing for deployment.

COURT THROWS OUT PLEA DEAL FOR 9/11 MASTERMIND KHALID SHEIKH MOHAMMED, TWO OTHER TERRORISTS

During his subsequent trial, Hasan admitted to the shooting and claimed it was necessary to protect the “Islamic Empire” from American forces.

The Pentagon had categorized the massacre as an act of “workplace violence,” a decision that drew sharp criticism from lawmakers, victims’ families and national security experts. They argued it obscured the ideological and terrorist motivations behind the attack.

In 2013, a military jury convicted Hasan and sentenced him to death.

JUSTICE DEPARTMENT URGED TO SEEK DEATH PENALTY IN CAPITAL JEWISH MUSEUM MURDERS

He has been held on death row at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, ever since.

After years of appeals, Hasan’s final legal challenge was rejected in April 2025, clearing the way for execution.

“I am 100% committed to ensuring the death penalty is carried out for Nidal Hasan,” Department of War Secretary Pete Hegseth told Fox News Digital. “This savage terrorist deserves the harshest lawful punishment for his 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood. The victims and survivors deserve justice without delays.”

Hasan is one of just four prisoners facing the death penalty under military jurisdiction.

Hasan, born in Arlington, Virginia, in 1970 to Palestinian immigrant parents, served nearly 20 years in the Army before reportedly embracing radical Islamist beliefs.

By the time he was stationed at Fort Hood in 2009, he had become outspoken in his opposition to U.S. military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, justifying suicide bombings as legitimate acts of war.

DHS: Dallas ICE shooting fueled by ‘hatred,’ says attacks on officers must stop

The Department of Homeland Security
(DHS) said the Dallas ICE field office shooting was driven by “hatred for ICE,” with Secretary Kristi Noem warning that inflammatory political rhetoric has consequences and calling for an end to the dehumanization of ICE officers.

DHS issued a statement Wednesday, warning that comparisons of ICE to Nazis and secret police are putting agents at risk.

“For months, we’ve been warning politicians and the media to tone down their rhetoric about ICE law enforcement before someone was killed,” Noem said. “This shooting must serve as a wake-up call to the far-left that their rhetoric about ICE has consequences. Comparing ICE day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences.”

“The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer,” she continued. “Like everyone else, we just want to go home to our families at night. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop. We are praying for the victims and their families.”

Noem calls Dallas ICE shooting deliberate, warns rhetoric and media fuel violence

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called the Dallas ICE field office shooting a deliberate attack on law enforcement, rejecting claims the gunman’s motives were unclear and warning that hostile political rhetoric and false media portrayals are putting ICE officers and their families at greater risk.

Noem argued that violent rhetoric from political leaders fuels these types of attacks, and said the Trump administration remains committed to expanding ICE staffing.

But she also sharply criticized media coverage of these attacks, describing them as false and harmful to agents.

“People don’t go around etching things into shell casings and then fire them, firing them into buildings for fun. Nobody does that for fun,” Noem said, adding that people who do that are evil and want to destroy other people’s lives.

“Everybody needs to remember these officers live in these communities, too,” she added. “They live there. Their families are there. They want to make sure that their kids can go to school, and that their families can go grocery shopping and go to their jobs and be safe.”

From rhetoric to bloodshed: Texas ICE attack caps escalating left-wing terror wave

The shooting of three ICE agents in Texas on Wednesday marks the latest and most brazen example of a surge in left-wing political violence.

From the dual attempted assassinations of President Donald Trump to the murder of Charlie Kirk, a chilling pattern is unmistakable: the left’s relentless demonization of conservatives is fueling real-world bloodshed.

“This latest shooting against ICE shows what happens after decades of lack of consequences,” Lora Ries, director of the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital.

Ries argued that decades of weak immigration enforcement have emboldened activist groups, who are now lashing out against today’s tougher measures.

Newsom silent on anti-ICE rhetoric after Dallas shooting, despite urging nonviolence

California Gov. Gavin Newsom
was pressed Wednesday on his anti-ICE rhetoric and victory lap over a landmark state law prohibiting law enforcement from concealing their identity during official operations.

Hours before a sniper fired “indiscriminately” at the sally port of a Dallas ICE facility, killing at least two detainees allegedly using ammunition inscribed with anti-ICE messages, Newsom joined CBS’ “Late Show” to lambast President Donald Trump and the way he has conducted his mass deportation operations.

Fox News Digital asked Newsom on Wednesday morning for his response to the shooting and whether his anti-ICE rhetoric has fueled rising threats and attacks on Homeland Security agents.

Newsom spokeswoman Diana Crofts-Pelayo responded that “violence is never the answer, and we expressly condemn what happened in Texas this morning.”

Dallas mayor urges prayer, patience after deadly ICE facility shooting

Dallas Mayor
Eric Johnson urged prayer, patience and calm after the deadly ICE facility shooting Wednesday, asking residents to support victims’ families and allow law enforcement to investigate as unanswered questions remain.

During a news conference on Wednesday, Johnson spoke about his belief in the power of prayer and how prayer changes things.

He then asked the public to join him by praying for the families of the victims in the ICE facility shooting earlier that day, as well as for a speedy recovery for those injured.

“Let’s be patient. Let’s remain calm, and let’s let our law enforcement partners, our police department, do their job,” Johnson said. “This is an active investigation. There’s still a lot of unanswered questions. And I want to encourage all of you to exercise a little bit of restraint and allow them to do their job to help make sure this continues to be a safe city and that they can help us figure out what happened here, today.”

Unearthed ‘rage’ clip puts Dem gubernatorial candidate on defensive amid ICE, Kirk shootings

Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears shared a clip on Wednesday that showed former Rep. Abigail Spanberger – her 2025 Democratic opponent for governor – offering an adage about “let[ing] your rage fuel you” during a June political event.

Earle-Sears posted the clip hours after a sniper fired “indiscriminately” into the sally port of a Dallas ICE facility
using bullets that were reportedly inscribed with anti-ICE slogans, leaving two people dead and others wounded.

“Rage. That’s what Abigail Spanberger is calling for,” Earle-Sears wrote on X.

“We’ve seen it with racist signs, cruel jeers, even cheering a father’s assassination for daring to disagree,” she added, appearing to refer to Charlie Kirk.

TX Dems link Dallas ICE shooting to ‘hateful rhetoric,’ press Trump, Abbott to stop ‘stoking’ fear

Texas Democrats called the Dallas ICE facility shooting “horrifying,” offered prayers for victims and first responders, and urged an end to incendiary rhetoric, accusing the Trump administration and Gov. Greg Abbott of fueling division and exploiting fear for political gain.

“We are horrified at the shooting that has taken place at the ICE processing facility in Dallas and our prayers are with the victims and the first responders,” the Texas Democratic Delegation said in its statement on Wednesday. “We unequivocally condemn all forms of violence and urge everyone to refrain from rhetoric that fans the flames—from all sides.”

“We do not know every fact, but we know that there are two dead victims and one seriously injured. No one — those in uniform, civilians, or immigrants — should be subject to the senseless violence we are seeing across our nation,” the statement continued. “The Trump Administration and the Governor must stop stoking the flames of division, hate, and anger to exploit people’s fears for political gain.”

“As more details of the shooting emerge, we urge everyone to meet this moment with empathy and not give into the lies and hateful rhetoric we are already seeing,” the lawmakers added.

Acting ICE director calls Dallas shooting a sniper attack on law enforcement

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said the Dallas field office shooting was a calculated sniper attack aimed at law enforcement, warning the alleged gunman’s anti-ICE motives and escalating rhetoric against the agency pose growing dangers to officers, detainees, and the public.

“It wasn’t directed at the detainees, it wasn’t directed at civilians on the street. It was a definite attack on law enforcement. He was there to attack that building,” Lyons told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the alleged shooter, identified as Joshua Jahn, specifically fired on ICE vehicles and the facility itself.

Lyons noted that Jahn has a criminal history and appeared to harbor anti-ICE sentiments, which was shown on etchings he allegedly made onto his bullets.

Lyons also warned the attack could have endangered not only ICE, but also attorneys, members of the public and commuters on the nearby I-35.

“Where he fired into, it wasn’t just detainees or law enforcement officers. That was a waiting area where attorneys are, that are there to see their clients, the public that they’re visiting,” Lyons said. “I-35 is a major highway right there, and you saw those bullets penetrated through the lobby into the wall, into the flag. People going to work, going to school could have been killed on I-35.”

The acting ICE director tied the attack to increasingly hostile rhetoric toward ICE from politicians, calling comments like California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “completely ridiculous,” and blaming them for fueling threats against ICE agents and their families.

“There are so many people that want to come out and join ICE, not just for, you know, be part of this deportation mission or the secret police,” Lyons added. “There are men and women that want a noble law enforcement profession, and that’s what we offer. And that’s what really, really disgusts me, is the fact that what the men and women of ICE are doing is a noble enforcement profession. They’re doing their sworn duty, they’re following the laws that Congress has written.”

Trump vows executive order after Dallas ICE shooting, blames ‘Radical Left Democrats’ for violence

President Donald Trump denounced the Dallas ICE field office shooting in a Truth Social post Wednesday, blaming “Radical Left Democrats” for fueling anti-law enforcement violence and pledging to sign an executive order against what he called left-wing domestic terrorism networks.

“I have been briefed on the deadly shooting at the ICE Field Office in Dallas, Texas. It has now been revealed the deranged shooter wrote ‘Anti-ICE’ on his shell casings,” Trump wrote. “This is despicable! The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists.”

“This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to ‘Nazis’,” Trump continued. “The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped. ICE Officers, and other Brave Members of Law Enforcement, are under grave threat.”

Trump noted that his administration has already declared ANTIFA a terrorist organization, adding that he plans to sign another Executive Order this week to dismantle domestic terrorism networks.

“I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW!” the president said. “The Trump Administration is fully committed to backing Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, securing our Homeland, deporting Violent Illegal Criminals, and fully rooting out the Left Wing Domestic Terrorism that is terrorizing our Country. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

5 times Democrats blasted ICE with harsh rhetoric

Democrats’ fiercest rhetoric against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security resurfaced Wednesday after the fatal sniper attack on a Dallas federal immigration facility.

A suspect fired several shots, reportedly “indiscriminately,” at the Sally Port of an ICE facility just off Interstate 35E near Dallas-Love Field that killed at least one detainee and injured others.

Hours prior, California Gov. Gavin Newsom appeared on CBS’ “Late Show” where he raged against federal agents who have masked-up to avoid being doxxed by activists in the Golden State.

Newsom recounted the detention of a teenager outside a school, describing it as “men jumping out of unmarked cars. People disappearing. No due process. No oversight. Zero accountability: Happening in the United States of America today.”

“People ask: ‘Well, is authoritarianism you being hyperbolic?’ Bulls— we’re being hyperbolic… These are not just authoritarian tendencies, these are authoritarian actions by an authoritarian government,” Newsom told host Stephen Colbert.

Cornyn blames Democratic leaders’ rhetoric for Dallas ICE shooting, cites rise in political violence

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, condemned the Dallas ICE field office shooting Wednesday, linking it to what he described as “radical left” rhetoric from Democratic leaders and warning that such attacks on law enforcement reflect a disturbing rise in politically motivated violence.

“Today’s shooting at Dallas ICE Field Office is one in a series of attacks at @ICEgov and Border Patrol facilities in Texas,” Cronyn said. “There should be no doubt that recent anti-law enforcement rhetoric from the radical left has contributed to this uptick in violence.”

“Whether it’s @GavinNewsom’s anti-ICE policies, @GovTimWalz comparing ICE to the Gestapo, or @RepJeffriescalling for people to fight @POTUS’ agenda in the streets, the rhetoric must end,” he continued.

“Texans back our men and women in blue. ANY attack on an officer WILL BE investigated & prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” he added. “We must stop this dangerous rhetoric & break this disturbing trend of political violence.”

Dem leaders condemn Dallas ICE facility shooting, call for unity against political violence

House Democratic leaders Hakeem Jeffries, Katherine Clark and Pete Aguilar condemned the Dallas ICE facility shooting as “horrifying,” offered condolences to victims’ families, praised first responders, and urged unity in the face of what they called escalating politically motivated violence in America.

“Our prayers and deepest condolences are with the families of those killed,” they said in a joint statement. “We thank the brave first responders for their quick action to locate the shooter and prevent any further carnage.”

“No one in America should be violently targeted, including our men and women in law enforcement who protect and serve our neighborhoods, and the immigrants who are too often the victims of dehumanizing rhetoric,” the statement continued. “The political and ideologically-motivated violence in America has reached a breaking point this year.”

“We need leaders who bring the country together in moments of crisis – and that is what is required right now,” the Democratic leaders added.

Vance on Dallas ICE shooting: ‘If your rhetoric encourages violence … you can go straight to hell’

Vice President JD Vance, speaking in Concord, North Carolina, condemned the Dallas ICE facility shooting as politically motivated violence by a “left-wing extremist,” blamed Democratic rhetoric and media coverage for fueling attacks on law enforcement, and offered prayers for agents and detainees injured in the attack.

Vance argued that the rhetoric from Democratic leaders like California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and that which is covered by the “left-wing media,” are contributing to an environment that encourages violence against law enforcement.

“If your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can go straight to hell,” he said.

“What we know is that in Dallas, Texas, an ICE facility, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, was opened fire upon by a violent left-wing extremist, a person who wrote anti-ICE messaging on their bullets,” Vance continued. “Just because we don’t support illegal aliens, we don’t want them to be executed by violent assassins engaged in political violence.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vowed continued support for U.S. Immigration and Customs

“Texas fully supports ICE,” Abbott wrote on X. “Both the Texas Dept. of Public Safety & Texas National Guard work closely with ICE.

“This assassination will NOT slow our arrest, detention, & deportation of illegal immigrants,” he continued. “We will work with ICE & the Dallas Police Dept. to get to the bottom of the assassin’s motive. We will offer ICE additional support to assist their operations.”

What to know about the ICE field office in Dallas

A gunman opened fire Wednesday on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas, Texas, which oversees operations in north Texas and Oklahoma.

According to the BBC, the site is a temporary holding facility — not a detention center — where detainees are kept before transfer to larger facilities.

An ICE detention standards manual states, “No detainee shall be confined in a hold room for more than 12 hours” at this facility.

In August, ICE released a report stating that the Dallas field office also houses Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), which handles the arrest and deportation of foreign nationals.

The BBC also reported that in August, a 36-year-old man was arrested outside the facility after claiming he had a bomb in his backpack and displaying what appeared to be a detonator on his arm.

Who was Joshua Jahn, shooter in deadly Dallas ICE facility attack?

Sources familiar with the investigation into the Dallas immigration facility shooting identified Wednesday’s alleged attacker as Joshua Jahn, 29.

The gunman shot three detainees and killed one detainee another after opening fire on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility from a nearby building before taking his own life, police say. The detainee who survived was hospitalized in critical condition.

Jahn fired “indiscriminately” at the ICE building, as well as at a van in the sally port where the victims were shot, the Department of Homeland Security said. The three detainees were in an unmarked transport van when they were shot, before Jahn took his own life around 7 a.m., according to the sources. He was found dead with a rifle on a nearby rooftop, authorities said.

DHS details how ‘deranged gunman’ fired ‘indiscriminately’ toward ICE Dallas ‘from nearby rooftop’

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Wednesday that the “deranged gunman” who opened fire at an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas, Texas, had fired “from a nearby rooftop.”

”The shooter fired indiscriminately at the ICE building, as well as at a van in the sallyport where the victims were shot,” DHS said in a statement. “Three detainees were shot. Two are deceased, and the other is in critical condition. The gunman was found with a self-inflicted gun wound.”

DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin has since told Fox News that DHS and ICE made a mistake, noting that three detainees were shot and 1 detainee was killed.

Sources familiar with the investigation identified the gunman to Fox News as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.

“We can confirm, the shell casings were found with anti-ICE messages on them,” DHS said. “This was an attack on ICE law enforcement.”

“DHS is working with partner agencies on the ground. Please join us in praying for the victims and their families,” it added.

Vance responds to liberal podcaster’s criticism of ICE shooting post: ‘Dipsh–‘

Vice President JD Vance called liberal podcaster Jon Favreau a “dips—” on Wednesday after the Obama alumnus criticized a post the vice president made about the deadly shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas.

The exchange on X unfolded after Vance wrote: “The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and for their families.”

Favreau, one of the hosts of “Pod Save America,” then reposted Vance’s message and said, “The Vice President is not a reliable source of information,” and claimed, “This is now the fifth or sixth time he’s posted a political take contradicted by facts from his own law enforcement agencies.”

“The gunman had anti-ICE messaging carved on the bullets he used,” Vance responded. “What, precisely, did I get wrong, dips—?”

Trump border czar has ’24/7 security detail,’ doesn’t live with family amid immigration threats

President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, revealed Wednesday on “The Charlie Kirk Show” that he has a 24/7 security detail and does not live with family out of concern for their safety.

“I have a 24/7 security detail because of threats against me. White House demands Democrats stop ‘demonizing’ ICE after deadly Dallas attack

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday that Democrats must stop “demonizing” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents following a deadly shooting at the agency’s Dallas, Texas, field office.

“Democrats must stop demonizing the heroic men and women of ICE who are just doing their jobs to keep Americans safe,” Leavitt wrote on X, sharing a photo with the message, “I Stand With ICE.”

FBI Special Agent in Charge Joseph Rothrock told reporters earlier that the FBI is “investigating this incident as an act of targeted violence.”

“What I can also share with you is that early evidence that we have seen from the rounds that were found near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature. Again, this is just the most recent example of this type of attack,” he added.

Sen. Cruz says ‘politically motivated violence is wrong’ following ICE Dallas office shooting

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said “violence is wrong” and “politically motivated violence is wrong” following Wednesday’s shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas.

“It was two weeks ago today that we saw a political assassination in Utah that tore the heart out of much of this country,” Cruz said, referencing the Sept. 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

“This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement ) or CBP (Customs and Border Protection). This must stop. To every politician who is using rhetoric, demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP – stop. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families – stop,” Cruz said.

“This has very real consequences. Look, in America, we disagree. That’s fine. That’s the democratic process. But your political opponents are not Nazis. We need to learn to work together without demonizing each other, without attacking each other. And I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you to the brave men and women of law enforcement. I want to say thank you to the brave men and women of ICE and CBP, and everyone who puts their lives on the line to keep us safe. The divisive rhetoric, tragically, has real consequences,” Cruz added.

Anti-ICE messages found on shooter’s rounds in deadly attack on Dallas ICE facility, FBI says

At least three people were shot, one of whom was killed, in a shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, Fox News confirmed.

The FBI says it is investigating the incident as a “targeted attack” against ICE. Representatives for the FBI at a Wednesday morning press conference in Dallas said that preliminary investigations uncovered anti-ICE messaging on bullet rounds found near the shooter.

The shooting reportedly occurred as ICE officers were transferring detainees into the facility. The shooter died due to a self-inflicted wound, authorities say. The three individuals who were shot were all detainees, and one of them has died.

The three detainees were shot while inside a law enforcement van, ICE sources told Fox News’ Brooke Taylor.

“These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers. It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead the these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice,” FBI director Kash Patel wrote on X.

The family of Casey Crafton has filed the first lawsuit over the American Eagle Flight 5342 crash in the Potomac River near Washington, D.C., alleging the disaster was avoidable and caused by systemic negligence.

The Jan. 29 crash involved an Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided midair with an American Airlines passenger plane near Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport, killing 64 people on the American Eagle flight and three aboard the military helicopter.

The federal lawsuit was filed on behalf of Casey Crafton’s estate, with his wife Rachel and family leading the legal action.

“Our lives were shattered in a moment,” said Dailey Crafton, Crafton’s brother. “Casey was betrayed by systemic disregard for safety. We cannot stand by and allow his life to be lost in vain.”

The lawsuit accuses American Airlines and PSA Airlines of negligence in operations, training, and knowingly allowing dangerous conditions at DCA, noting the crash was predictable and preventable.

American Airlines allegedly ignored repeated near misses and congestion data, prioritizing profit over safety, according to attorneys.

“The crash of American Eagle 5342 was predictable, preventable, and caused the needless loss of 67 lives,” said attorney Robert Clifford. “… American ran red lights for years by allowing these planes to operate in congested, unsafe conditions.”

ARMY HELICOPTER THAT CRASHED WITH COMMERCIAL PLANE IN DC WAS FLYING ABOVE ALTITUDE LIMIT: NTSB

Action will also be brought against the U.S. government, encompassing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the U.S. Army, for systemic failures in oversight, air traffic control and military helicopter procedures.

Attorneys said the FAA failed to provide safe air traffic control and allowed unsafe operational environments, while the Army helicopter crew failed to follow basic “see and avoid” flight principles.

“The helicopter crew’s conduct was inexcusable,” said Brian Alexander, an attorney and former Army aviator. “Air traffic control completely failed in their duty as the lifeguards of our aviation system.”

Before suing the government, families must first file separate Form 95 claims, which attorneys said have already been filed by nearly all the victims’ families.

The Crafton case is expected to serve as a guiding complaint for other victims’ families, which are expected to be consolidated in federal court.

Doug Lane, who lost his wife, Christine, and son, Spencer, in the crash, said more than 120 family members have banded together to “become something both beautiful and powerful.”

“We support each other through birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, weddings—that were planned but never held,” Lane said. “Little League and figure skating seasons that started with missing coaches, missing competitors, and missing parents in the stands.”

He said the group has also “turned our grief into action.”

“We’ve collaborated with Congress on critical air safety reforms. We’ve secured a much-needed set of oversight investigations into the FAA, and we will not rest until similar investigations are underway into the US Army,” Lane said. “We’ll bring that same level of passion and relentlessness as we seek accountability and change through the legal process.

“Many of us have been asked whether we dread the idea of rehashing the worst days of our lives in court. Our answer today is clear: We’re ready. … We are here to see this process through, however long it takes, to ensure that our family members have a lasting legacy that makes the world safer for everyone who flies.”

The lawsuit is seeking both monetary damages and congressional air safety reforms.

Whoopi Goldberg calls for 25th Amendment against Trump following UN address

On Wednesday’s episode of “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg suggested it may be time to consider invoking the 25th Amendment against President Donald Trump following his address to the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday.

Discussing Trump’s address, Goldberg argued other countries aren’t laughing at the United States, they’re actually “really concerned for us.”

While criticizing Trump’s efforts to resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine, Goldberg said, “He had an opportunity to do so much more than he offered them, and they don’t consider him to be serious anymore, and I’m worried. What is the amendment, the 20—”.

The co-hosts took their guesses at which amendment Goldberg was referencing, making multiple attempts before co-host Sonny Hostin eventually informed them that it was the 25th Amendment.

‘THE VIEW’ SLAMS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION, AVOIDS CRITICIZING ABC OVER KIMMEL SUSPENSION

“I didn’t know what you meant. You meant when you start questioning someone’s competence and mental acuity,” Hostin added.

“Well, they questioned Biden’s competence,” Goldberg quickly shot back. “If Biden had acted like this, I would have said take him and sit him down somewhere, but this was not — this was not presidential, and this was not helpful.”

The 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution defines the process for presidential succession and the transfer of power if the president is unable to perform his or her duties. It can be used when a president dies, resigns or lacks the mental or physical capacity to serve in office.

‘THE VIEW’ CO-HOST ‘SCARED’ OVER SOTOMAYOR RESPONSE ON TRUMP POTENTIALLY SEEKING A THIRD TERM

In the lead-up to their discussion about the 25th Amendment, Hostin accused the president of lying to the U.N. General Assembly about ending seven wars across the globe in the hopes of winning a Nobel Peace Prize.

This set off a debate among the co-hosts about whether Trump would deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin was the outlier of the group, arguing that she welcomes Trump’s “about-face” on Ukraine and that he would deserve the award if he is able to achieve peace between the two warring countries.

Goldberg claimed the frightening aspect of the president’s most recent about-face on Ukraine is that it will eventually “lead to another about-face” and that the rest of the world is concerned for America under his leadership.

“They are worried for us,” Hostin concurred. “And I want to say this about Americans. Seventy-six percent of Americans say Trump doesn’t deserve to win the Nobel Peace Prize. … His own country doesn’t think that!”

Hostin appeared to be citing a recent Washington Post/Ipsos poll.

Staggering number of volleyball teams have now forfeited to squad with trans athlete

At least eight high school volleyball teams in California have forfeited to a team with a well-known transgender athlete.

The Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD) confirmed that Patriot High School has forfeited its Sept. 26 match to Jurupa Valley High School, which rosters transgender athlete AB Hernandez. Both Patriot and Jurupa Valley are within the same school district, the Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD).

“We can confirm the Patriot High School volleyball team will forfeit their September 26 match,” JUSD said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Patriot’s forfeit marked the first forfeit to Jurupa Valley by a school within its own district.

Jurupa Valley saw three forfeits in one weekend at the Freeway Games tournament on Sept. 13, with Aquinas High School, Yucaipa High School and San Dimas High School refusing to play Jurupa Valley.

Prior to that, Riverside Poly High School, Rim of The World High School, Orange Vista High School and AB Miller High School all forfeited to Jurupa Valley.

Three of Hernandez’s current and former volleyball teammates have filed a lawsuit against the Jurupa Unified School District (JUSD), the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and the California Department of Education (CDE) over their experience sharing a team and locker room with the transgender athlete.

The two current teammates in the lawsuit, seniors Alyssa McPherson and Hadeel Hazameh, previously told Fox News Digital they were stepping away from the team as long as the transgender athlete is participating. The third plaintiff is McPherson’s older sister Madison, who graduated last year.

“Plaintiffs have been intimidated by an intentionally hostile environment created by Defendants wherein they were bullied by school officials to censor their objections to competing with, and against, a male and to sharing intimate and private spaces with a male,” the lawsuit reads.

The McPherson family, who identify as practicing Catholics, claimed to “believe that God created human beings as male and female and that gender is a fixed characteristic that cannot be changed. Their faith informs their understanding of human identity and shapes their views regarding the importance of recognizing and honoring the distinctives of male and female as created by God,” per court documents.

Meanwhile, Hazameh and her family identify as practicing Muslims “whose religious obligations prevent [Hazameh] from exposing her hair or body to males, including by wearing a hijab. Guided by Islamic teachings, they believe that men and women have distinct biological differences, roles, and responsibilities, which should be respected and upheld,” per court documents.

The JUSD has directly encouraged critics to take up the issue with government officials and lawmakers, in a statement previously provided to Fox News Digital, but the school district has not commented on the lawsuit.

“School districts do not write laws for the state of California, nor do they have the power to ignore them or change them. However, as primarily state-funded agencies, they are required to follow them. As these issues play out in our courts and the media, any advocacy on these matters should be directed at state and federal officials elected to make laws and policies that affect public education,” the statement read.

A CDE spokesperson told Fox News Digital, “The California Department of Education cannot comment on this matter, as we cannot comment on pending litigation.”

The CIF has not responded to Fox News Digital’s requests for response to the lawsuit.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office provided a statement to Fox News Digital in response to the complaints by athletes and parents, suggesting the responsibility falls on the CIF, CDE and state legislature, but not on him.

“CIF is an independent nonprofit that governs high school sports. The California Department of Education is a separate constitutional office. Neither is under the Governor’s authority,” the statement read.

“CIF and the CDE have stated they follow existing state law — a law that was passed in 2013 and signed by Governor Jerry Brown (not Newsom) and in line with 21 other states. For the law to change, the legislature would need to send the Governor a bill. They have not.”

New twist months after infamous Coldplay kiss cam scandal

A Coldplay concert video took the internet by storm and triggered the resignation of two top executives at data company Astronomer. However, a source close to one of them is now speaking out that the controversy was misrepresented and that there was “no affair.”

Former CEO Andy Byron, 51, and then-Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, 53, were shown embracing on a jumbotron in July. A viral video showed the duo ducking out of view, which prompted Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to joke about their reaction. However, according to a source close to Cabot, that viral moment was not entirely what it seemed, People magazine reported.

UNCOMFORTABLE COUPLE CAUGHT ON COLDPLAY CONCERT CAMERA SENDS INTERNET INTO INVESTIGATIVE FRENZY

“[Kristin Cabot] and [Andy Byron] had an excellent working relationship, a great friendship,” the source told People. “There was no affair.”

The source added, “It was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job — all of that is unfair.”

Kristin Cabot — married to head of Privateer Rum, Andrew Cabot — has been mislabeled as a “homewrecker” and she and Andy were at the concert with a group of friends, the source said.

By the night of the event, Cabot and her husband had already been separated. She formally filed for divorce on Aug. 13, a little less than a month after the concert, with both parties agreeing to keep the proceedings private, People reported.

The controversy involves “real people and real families,” the source told People.

“The way people have taken a lot of enjoyment at their expense, it’s hard to see,” they said.

In the months since the video went viral, Cabot has largely been focusing on her family. In the days immediately after the video took over the internet, Cabot reportedly received nearly 900 death threats on her phone. People have also mocked her in public, the source told People.

ASTRONOMER CEO CAUGHT CUDDLING ON CONCERT JUMBOTRON WITH HR HEAD STEPS DOWN

“Kristin had people standing outside her car while she was picking her son up from work, grown women laughing, taking pictures, pointing,” the source told People. “It’s been a tough thing to watch.”

On July 16, Byron and Cabot were spotted with their arms around each other when the concert jumbotron suddenly focused on them. Caught off guard, they quickly hid their faces and ducked out of view.

Their awkward reaction led Coldplay’s Chris Martin to joke, “Woah, look at these two. They’re either having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Byron resigned July 19, and Cabot resigned as head of HR just a few days later. Losing her job at Astronomer after just seven months was also difficult for Cabot, the source said.

“Kristin has a lot of family and friends around her that know who she really is and love her, and will all see her through this,” the source told People. “… It will take time.”

Sophia Forchas, who was shot in the head during the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis on Aug. 27, is making a steady recovery.

On behalf of the Forchas family, Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis released a statement on Monday with an update on the 12-year-old’s progress.

“Sophia is winning!” her family shared. “Your prayers are working.”

GRIEVING FATHER CALLS MINNEAPOLIS SHOOTER A ‘COWARD’ WHO TOOK LIFE OF HIS 8-YEAR-OLD SON FLETCHER DURING MASS

“On behalf of our entire family, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone near and far, for the continued prayers, the outpouring of love, and the tremendous support for our precious Sophia.”

The statement continued, “We are humbled by the countless individuals across the globe who have lifted her up in prayer, including His All-Holiness Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew and His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.”

The Forchas family echoed that their daughter’s survival of the “horrifying attack” is a “miracle,” and that her healing process has also been “nothing short of miraculous.”

“Each day, we uncover new revelations of moments and circumstances that kept her alive and made her recovery possible,” they wrote. “God has heard our prayers and wrapped Sophia in His healing embrace.”

‘I CAN’T UNSEE IT’: DEALING WITH THE TRAUMA OF WATCHING SOMEONE DIE

According to a Facebook post from St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis, penned by Fr. Timothy Sas on the day of the shooting, Forchas went into surgery “immediately” after being critically injured.

Forchas, whose family has been “devoted members” of the St. Mary’s congregation, then passed through a “difficult and long surgery” and remained in a “critical situation,” the post said.

Forchas’ neurosurgeon, Dr. Walt Galcich, said a bullet lodged into the seventh-grader’s head, causing severe damage, as reported by AP.

In this most recent update, the family reported that Forchas has continued to make “steady progress,” showing signs of neurological recovery.

Forchas’ doctors remain “cautiously optimistic” as her medical team prepares to transition her from acute care at Hennepin County Medical Center to an inpatient rehabilitation program.

“Though she still has a long journey ahead, filled with extensive therapy, her resilience continues to inspire hope at every step,” the family updated.

“Sophia is strong, brave and unwavering in her fight toward healing. We ask that you continue to pray for her as she walks this road to recovery.”

The Forchas family extended thanks to the “extraordinary staff of Hennepin Healthcare at HCMC for their tireless dedication and world-class care.”

“To our extended family, the Orthodox Church, our Annunciation school family, our friends and colleagues, and the many strangers who have become prayer warriors for Sophia, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” the family said.

“Please continue to pray. Pray for peace and when you pray, move your feet. Let us worship God together and walk forward in Faith, Hope and Love. Together, we can create a better tomorrow.”

A GoFundMe page set up for Sophia noted that Sophia’s younger brother was inside the school during the shooting but was not physically injured.

Sophia’s mother is a pediatric critical care nurse who was at work at Hennepin Healthcare when she discovered that her daughter was among the injured, according to AP.

During the first morning mass of the school year, identified shooter Robin Westman fired dozens of rounds into the church, shattering stained-glass and pew-side windows as terrified students and parishioners ducked for cover.

Two children, Fletcher Merkel and Harper Moyski, were killed, and 18 people — 15 of them children — were injured.
