Trump eyes cuts to ‘Democrat agencies’ he views as ‘political scams’
President Donald Trump on Thursday said he’s working to determine which “Democrat” agencies will face cuts after Democrats and Republicans failed to reach an agreement on a government funding package.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he was meeting with Russell Vought, director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, later Thursday to discuss which agencies “are a political SCAM.” The president said he wanted Vought to recommend which agencies should face cuts and whether those cuts should be temporary or permanent.
“I can’t believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity,” read Trump’s post. “They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The federal government entered a partial shutdown Wednesday after the midnight funding deadline passed, with Democrats and Republicans failing to agree on a funding bill.
DEMOCRATS AT A BIG DISADVANTAGE IN SHUTDOWN AS TRUMP STARTS SLASHING THEIR PROGRAMS
Trump has warned the administration could make “irreversible” changes to the federal workforce, most notably through a new wave of fresh layoffs. He has underscored that he and his allies did not want the government to shut down, but that it opened the door for some “good” that could come from it.
Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday accused Democrats of forcing the shutdown over providing illegal immigrants with taxpayer-funded emergency healthcare and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., fearing a primary challenge from progressive “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
VANCE BRINGS RECEIPTS TO TARGET DEMS ON HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS
“But the reality here, and let’s be honest about the politics, is that Chuck Schumer is terrified he’s going to get a primary challenge from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” Vance said. “The reason why the American people’s government is shut down is because Chuck Schumer is listening to the far-left radicals in his own party because he’s terrified of a primary challenge.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also alleged Democrats engineered the shutdown to force taxpayers to fund healthcare for undocumented immigrants given a $37 trillion debt.

“To put this all into perspective, the Democrats refused to keep the government open over healthcare to illegal aliens and now have jeopardized critical health care programs for American citizens,” she said. “Instead, the women, infants and children program, community health center funding, Medicare treatment options and other health programs are now all at risk because of the Democrats rejecting the clean C.R. [continuing resolution].”
Speaker Johnson fact-checks Dems’ claim GOP is lying about illegals and Medicaid
EXCLUSIVE: House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is accusing Democrats of lying in their denials that they’re pushing to give healthcare back to illegal immigrants.
“The idea that you would want illegal aliens to be paid benefits by U.S. taxpayers is unconscionable,” Johnson said Wednesday.
The top House Republican sat down with Fox News Digital for an interview on the first full day of the ongoing government shutdown, hours after Senate Democrats again rejected the GOP’s proposal to keep federal agencies funded at fiscal year (FY) 2025 levels through Nov. 21.
Republicans’ accusations that Democrats are trying to reverse GOP changes to the Medicaid system in favor of illegal immigrants has been a particularly significant flashpoint in the fight, with those on the left attacking that claim as a lie.
GOP ACCUSES DEMS OF RISKING SHUTDOWN TO RESTORE ‘ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT HEALTHCARE’
But Johnson pointed out that Democrats’ own counter-proposal for a funding bill included a provision that would have entirely reversed Republicans’ recent Medicaid changes in the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” (OBBB) signed into law on July 4.
“What we’re trying to do is strengthen Medicaid, and one of the very important things we had to do is make sure that the more than 1 million illegal aliens who were collecting that were not allowed on the program,” Johnson said.
“So when they say they want to repeal the healthcare provisions of the OBBB, it’s that and it’s the rural hospital fund. We put $50 billion into a fund to prop up our rural hospitals, and that would do real damage [if ended].”
People in the U.S. without legal status are already barred on a federal level from accessing benefits like Medicaid.
And Democrats, who are also pushing for any funding deal to extend enhanced Obamacare subsidies that are set to expire at the end of this year, have insisted that they’re fighting to preserve healthcare for Americans.
Republicans’ bill installed a 20-hour-per-week work requirement for certain able-bodied people on Medicaid, even for U.S. citizens, which Democrats objected to.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., meanwhile, told CNN on Wednesday of the illegal immigrants claim, “Taxpayer dollars cannot be spent on Medicaid or Medicare or the Affordable Care Act related to undocumented immigrants, and not a single Democrat has raised the issue of trying to reverse that federal law. What we are trying to do is save the healthcare of the American people, lower their costs and cancel these cuts.”
Yet 14 states and the District of Columbia, all of which use a mix of federal and state dollars to fund Medicaid, allow some level of state-funded healthcare coverage for residents without legal immigration status. Those programs are active in places that expanded their Medicaid populations under Obamacare, formally called the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
SHUTDOWN EXPLAINED: WHO WORKS, WHO DOESN’T AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS
Hospitals are also given federal dollars to cover Emergency Medicaid funding, which is available to people who meet all Medicaid eligibility requirements except for immigration status in cases of dire immediate need.
The OBBB reduces the amount of federal dollars those hospitals get, however.
The GOP policy bill also strengthens guardrails around who can get Medicaid coverage, barring certain groups of asylum-seekers and refugees who otherwise would have qualified for some level of coverage.

Republicans argue that millions of people who entered the U.S. illegally were improperly granted at least temporary legal status under former President Joe Biden, and so should not qualify for the same benefits as other legal immigrants — a point Johnson suggested during his interview as well.
“President Biden added all those people onto the rolls, and he kept the border open for four years,” Johnson said. “They put them on taxpayer benefits.”
While Biden did enact significant restrictions on asylum and illegal entry across the border toward the end of his term, his loosening of Trump administration-era restrictions in 2021 is accused of helping precipitate a record number of illegal immigrants entering the U.S.
Illegal aliens can’t get Medicaid, but that has only been true since July 4, and the reason that is a true statement is because we passed it into law and all the Democrats voted against it,” Johnson said. “So they want to reverse what we did. I mean, that’s just plain and simple.”
‘Voluminous’ evidence against Kirk’s alleged assassin puts defense on back foot: expert
Prosecutors in the Tyler Robinson case wasted no time in declaring they had already gathered “voluminous” evidence against Charlie Kirk’s accused assassin.
“There is a substantial amount of discovery in this case, Your Honor. It’s voluminous, to say the least. And we’re working on a process where we can exchange information as quickly as possible and be efficient in that process,” Utah County Chief Deputy Attorney Chad Grunander said Monday during Robinson’s court appearance.
To better understand the strategy behind that phrase, Fox News Digital spoke with Dan Gerl, a Washington state-based defense attorney at Next Law, who previously served as a prosecutor and has more than 20 years of courtroom experience. Gerl said the prosecution’s emphasis on the volume of material was no accident, and it sets the stage for how the case may unfold in the months ahead.
UTAH PROSECUTORS PREPARE POTENTIAL DEATH PENALTY CASE AGAINST CHARLIE KIRK SUSPECT TYLER JAMES ROBINSON
Categories of evidence
Prosecutors have already pointed to multiple forms of evidence, according to Gerl.
“You’ve got physical evidence, video surveillance showing what appears to be Robinson on the roof, the weapon found tied to his grandfather, bullet casings with inscriptions linked to online forums, messages from his social media accounts and even prints from his body and shoes on the roof,” Gerl said.
In the aftermath of the assassination of Kirk, FBI Director Kash Patel said a positive DNA match and text messages where the accused appeared to admit to the shooting.
Prosecutorial strategy
From the prosecution’s perspective, emphasizing the size of the evidence file serves multiple purposes.
“It makes it very difficult for the defense,” Gerl explained. “They can come forward early on and paint the picture: ‘This guy did it.’ Within the confines of ethics, there’s nothing preventing them from doing that, and it sets the tone.”
The approach also signals thoroughness in a case Gerl described as a “calling all cars” moment, with political pressure from “government officials all the way to the top wanting action here.”
By showcasing evidence early and often, Gerl said, prosecutors reinforce their narrative, exert pressure in potential plea negotiations and shape the public’s perception.
Defense counter-strategy
Robinson’s defense team, which includes Kathryn Nester, Richard Novak and Michael Burt, will likely focus on the manner in which this evidence was obtained, Gerl said.
“They’re going to attack it on all fronts,” Gerl said. “There will be motions to suppress, challenges to the legality of searches and scrutiny of how evidence was obtained. Anything investigators pulled without proper warrants, especially from phone records or social media accounts, could be contested.”
The defense may also probe whether investigators mishandled or improperly collected evidence, similar to tactics used in the O.J. Simpson trial, he said.
CHARLIE KIRK’S ASSASSINATION LEAVES UNANSWERED QUESTIONS AS INVESTIGATORS PIECE TOGETHER GAPS IN CASE
Beyond procedural challenges, Gerl expects Robinson’s mental state to play a central role.
“What happened with this kid? A few years ago, he was a jubilant high school student with a scholarship. Then he drops out. Was there mental health history? That could become part of mitigation or even a push toward hospitalization instead of criminal conviction.”
Artificial intelligence vulnerabilities
While physical evidence such as fingerprints and DNA is harder to dispute, digital records present unique challenges. Gerl, pointing to online speculation about the legitimacy of the text messages released by federal law enforcement, said that such doubts, even if unproven, could complicate the prosecution’s narrative.
“Digital evidence is frozen in time now, but down the line, it may be harder to know what’s authentic,” Gerl warned. “Jurors are going to see AI-generated videos that look real, and defense attorneys will plant the seed: could some of this have been manufactured?”

Defense moves to access ‘voluminous’ evidence
On Monday, Robinson’s defense team formally responded to prosecutors’ claims by filing a sweeping discovery request in Utah’s Fourth Judicial District Court. The motion, signed by attorneys Nester, Novak and Burt, seeks access to virtually every category of evidence collected in the case.
The request demands disclosure of 911 recordings, police bodycam transcripts, cellphone extractions, original digital files, chain of custody records, and the results of DNA, fingerprint and firearm testing. It also seeks mental health records.

Prosecutors have charged Robinson with seven counts, including aggravated murder, which carries the potential death penalty, felony firearms charges, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and committing violence in the presence of a child. He has not yet entered a plea.

Harris reveals Clintons’ blunt advice on picking presidential running mate
Former Vice President Kamala Harris revealed in her new memoir that she turned to Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton for advice on choosing a running mate before landing on Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Harris’ new memoir, “107 Days,” provides a detailed first-hand account of the former vice president’s truncated presidential campaign in 2024. The book, released Sept. 23, set the stage back when Harris had just 94 days to go before Americans cast their ballots.
She called on former President Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for advice on how to choose a running mate.
“Very few people have ever made this decision. I called Hillary and Bill Clinton, because they knew what it was like and would give me candid and confidential advice,” Harris wrote.
She described that the Clintons warned her against choosing someone who would be an apparent “political marriage of convenience.”
KAMALA HARRIS PLAYS UP COZY RELATIONSHIP WITH HILLARY CLINTON AS WEDGE WITH BIDEN WIDENS
“One of your strengths,’ they said, ‘is that you bring a joyful energy to the campaign. You have to choose someone who won’t work against that,’” she wrote of their conversation. “They told me to be aware that over the course of the campaign, people will be able to tell if it is a genuinely good relationship or a political marriage of convenience.”
Harris continued that the former president said his running mate and vice president, Al Gore, was a good match “because he knew things I didn’t know. We were as different as daylight and dark and it worked.”
“‘You have to level with them and watch how they answer,'” she wrote of Bill Clinton’s advice on how to vet potential running mates.
She added that the couple jointly “emphasized that I’d be offering this person the chance of a lifetime, so they’d better know it. If they were someone dying for immediate public recognition, it might not be the job for them. They might have to swallow a lot of crap.”
FROM TELL ALL TO END ALL: FORMER VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS’ 5 BIG CAREER MISTAKES
Harris ultimately chose Walz to join her on the ticket, a relatively unknown Democratic governor from Minnesota and former U.S. House lawmaker who was celebrated as Harris’ “happy warrior” on the campaign trail.
“I needed to know that my running mate was a person who valued the dignity of everyone and would take a moment to show it,” she capped off the chapter, which did not note whether Harris floated Walz’ name directly to the Clintons as she sought advice.
The selection of Walz over other liked or well-known Democrats, such as Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, was viewed as a campaign misstep that contributed to the party’s loss to President Donald Trump. Walz was slammed over claims of “stolen valor,” and his previous strict rules for his state during the pandemic, as well as a debate performance against then-Sen. JD Vance that pundits argued made him appear nervous.
KAMALA HARRIS REVEALS WHAT BIDEN TOLD HER JUST BEFORE CRUCIAL DEBATE WITH TRUMP THAT LEFT HER ‘ANGRY’
Harris, who mentions the Clintons at least 12 times in her book, has increasingly played up her cozy relationship with the Democratic power couple as her political wedge with former President Joe Biden’s political orbit widens following the release of her book.
“We all hope to be mentored. We all hope to have support from those who come before. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. And certainly that’s true of politics. Hillary Clinton is one of those people that believes in lifting people up and supporting people,” Harris said from the stage of The Town Hall, a theater venue in Midtown Manhattan, where she kicked off her book tour Sept. 24.
“And she follows through,” Harris added.
OBAMA, PELOSI, OTHER TOP DEMS RESISTED INSTANT HARRIS ENDORSEMENT CITING NEED TO ‘EARN IT,’ ‘HIKING’ EXCUSE
Harris said during her book event in New York City that the Clintons were among one of the first calls she made when Biden officially dropped out of the presidential race on July 21, 2024 — describing the call as “the cutest thing.”
“So I have their home number, for Hillary and Bill, and it was the cutest thing. So I called and Hillary picked up and then Bill was in the other room, and she’s like, ‘It’s Kamala on the phone, Bill, pick up the other phone,'” she recounted on her book tour Sept. 24.
Harris said that the former first couple immediately offered to travel to campaign for her presidential ticket, including taking public transportation, including Hillary Clinton reportedly offering to hop on an Amtrak ride to hit the campaign trail.

Her comments on the Clintons follow Biden’s allies taking issue with Harris’ handful of jabs she took at the former president, including arguing it was reckless for the octogenarian president to run for re-election, critiquing Biden’s botched debate against Trump that ultimately served as a death knell for Biden’s re-election efforts.
Business booms 312% after café faces backlash for honoring Charlie Kirk
A California coffee shop owner said her business was “flooded with righteous people” after coming under fire for supporting Charlie Kirk.
Following the assassination of the Turning Point USA founder, Invita Café in Rancho Santa Fe placed stickers on its coffee cups in his honor.
Owner Sara De Luca told Fox News Digital she “didn’t think twice” about putting the stickers on the cups beginning the Friday after Kirk’s death.
STARBUCKS BARISTA DID NOT WANT TO WRITE CHARLIE KIRK’S NAME ON COFFEE CUP IN VIRAL VIDEO
“When Israel went to war, we put on Israel stickers and started to support some of the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]. I would say that was when I was like, ‘Let’s be courageous,'” De Luca said. “But with Charlie, we had hosted him. We had met him. We’ve met Erika,” she added, referring to Kirk’s wife.
DeLuca said she didn’t even think it “could be controversial.”
“Maybe it’s my ignorance,” she said. “It didn’t even cross my mind that somebody could have some sort of issue with somebody being murdered.”
De Luca printed round white stickers with the words “Thank you, Charlie Kirk” and “We Love You” written on them.
“We’ve supported him for many, many years,” she said — but baristas told her the café’s phones were ringing off the hook with people saying “horrible and horrific things.”

“We ended up having to shut down our Google page and Yelp page because we were getting an insane amount of one-star reviews,” De Luca said.
She said what kept her calm was her San Diego community and her church, Awaken, which “showed up” a few days later.
“I was actually tearing [up] because I was like, ‘Where did these people come from?’ We went 312% up in sales,” De Luca said. “We were flooded with righteous people just showing up, supporting us, defending us. They were defending Charlie. Obviously, we all were.”
DeLuca said her small boutique coffee shop was soon packed with people waiting 30 to 45 minutes in line.

“We didn’t have any haters show up,” she said. “It was only the righteous showing up – just God-fearing people who are like, ‘Thank you for what you’re doing. Charlie would be proud.'”
The support came not just from her community but from across the nation, she said.
“We had somebody from Georgia call and say, ‘Can I just give you $500 and buy the next 100 drinks?’ Somebody walked in and left $300 and just walked out.”

Invita Café opened nine years ago, inspired by De Luca’s Italian family.
“The idea was to kind of create a space where the espresso is the magnet that unites people, and it brings the community together and brings the traditions that I grew up with here to California,” she said.
De Luca said she believes “God is so behind all of this.”
“This is insane. But I think Charlie would have been proud.”

Disney attendance craters as visitors report parks that look like ‘ghost towns’
Walt Disney World logged its slowest three-week stretch of the year in September, putting it on track to be the quietest month since 2021.
Crowd tracker data for mid-August through mid-September shows average waits dropped to about 24 minutes per ride, even shorter than during the July 4 holiday, according to posted times from Disney’s My Disney Experience app, aggregated by third-party tracker Thrill-Data and analyzed by Disney Tourist Blog.
On TikTok, some visitors described the parks as “ghost towns.”
FROM MAGIC KINGDOM WEDDINGS TO FUNERAL URNS, ‘DISNEY ADULTS’ HAVE AN UNDYING PASSION
“I’m at Magic Kingdom right now, and this place is a tomb,” one user said.
“There is literally nobody here. There is no wait time for anything. Space Mountain — walk on. Haunted Mansion — walk on. Pirates of the Caribbean — walk on. The longest I have even seen a wait time for … 30 minutes.”
Financially, Disney paints a different picture. The company has reported mostly unchanged attendance, while its recent earnings show revenue growth.
Fox News Digital reached out to Walt Disney World for comment.
Some analysts and third-party trackers suggest that standby lines may have moved faster because Disney adjusted how many guests enter via Lightning Lane rather than standby, freeing up capacity in the regular queues.
LAS VEGAS TOURISM DROPS SHARPLY AS SOME VISITORS CLAIM ‘CASINOS ARE EMPTY’ AMID RISING COSTS
A look back at the summer months may help explain the trend.
August was the slowest full month of the year to date, averaging 28 minutes per ride, followed by July at 30 minutes, according to Disney Tourist Blog’s tracking data. Weekends in September were busier than weekdays, reversing past trends and adding 10 to 12 minutes of wait time on average.
To fill the traditionally empty weeks after Labor Day, Disney rolled out aggressive deals, including an $89-per-day three-park ticket that excludes Magic Kingdom, 50% off children’s tickets and the return of free dining for certain dates and packages, according to multiple Disney blogs.
Some TikTok users and commenters blamed ticket prices being “too expensive” or politics for the slowdown — while others argued Disneyland in California remains crowded by comparison, the Mirror reported.

Many of the emptiest days came on “party days,” when Magic Kingdom closes early for its separately ticketed Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Those days consistently produce the shortest waits, sometimes only a few minutes. Hollywood Studios continues to post the longest waits resort-wide, according to Disney Tourist Blog.
Experts claim the lull is also influenced by back-to-school schedules and peak hurricane season rolling in.

Both Thrill-Data and Disney Tourist Blog report that September consistently brings some of the shortest lines of the year. Analysts expected a late-month bump as Florida residents use expiring discounted tickets, with a larger surge likely in October around Columbus Day. Still, midweek visits in late September can remain relatively quiet, they advise.
Meanwhile, a growing number of millennials and Gen Xers are flocking to Disney parks without kids, with experts saying the appeal lies in finding comfort, community and escape, Fox News Digital previously reported.

Despite viral claims of “empty” parks, Florida tourism rose this summer, with Visit Florida estimating 34.4 million visitors from April through June, up slightly from the same period in 2024, CBS News reported.
Major insurers cutting back Medicare Advantage plans — what it means for 2026
Leading health insurers announced Wednesday that they will scale back their Medicare Advantage offerings next year as the health insurance industry braces for decreases in government reimbursement.
The U.S. government has been cutting back payments on Medicare Advantage since 2024 to reduce spending. Medicare Advantage is a privately-run insurance program that serves people aged 65 and above as well as those with disabilities.
CVS Health’s Aetna insurance business said its prescription drug plans will be available in 100 fewer counties than what is available in 2025, while Humana will scale back the availability of its plans to 85% of counties, down from 89% this year. UnitedHealth said it will stop operating in 109 counties, which will affect about 180,000 people.
UnitedHealth manages the largest Medicare Advantage business, while Humana ranks second and CVS Health’s is the fourth-largest.
UNITEDHEALTH CONFIRMS SWEEPING DOJ PROBE INTO MEDICARE BILLING, VOWS COMPLIANCE
Insurers have said that higher-than-expected usage of medical services in their Medicare businesses has prompted the moves to exit less profitable markets, while they’re also receiving fewer payments from Medicare related to patients’ health conditions.
“The combination of (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) funding cuts, rising healthcare costs and increased utilization have created headwinds that no organization can ignore,” said UnitedHealth’s Bobby Hunter, who runs the company’s government programs, in a Tuesday press briefing.
CVS CAREMARK DROPS COVERAGE OF POPULAR WEIGHT LOSS DRUG
Ticker | Security | Last | Change | Change % |
---|---|---|---|---|
UNH | UNITEDHEALTH GROUP INC. | 351.80 | +3.59 | +1.03% |
HUM | HUMANA INC. | 246.93 | +0.20 | +0.08% |
CVS | CVS HEALTH CORP. | 77.05 | +0.19 | +0.25% |
The leading insurers are also exiting some states altogether as they confront reduced government compensation and increased costs from rising use.
Humana will provide plans in 46 states in 2026, down from 48 this year. Aetna is set to offer plans in 43 states and 2,159 counties next year, down from 44 states and 2,259 counties this year.
MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS MAY COVER THINGS LIKE PET FOOD, GOLF FEES AND SKI PASSES
Insurers are also changing their plan offerings. Humana intends to offer new plan types in four states in 177 counties, and 83% of its standalone prescription drug plans in 2026 will have decreased premiums.
CVS Health plans to expand its offerings for people who qualify for both Medicare and the Medicaid program for low-income Americans to 16 new states.

Hunter said that UnitedHealth’s decision to shut down over 100 plans will affect about 600,000 members who are largely enrolled in preferred provider organizations or those that give members an option to see providers outside a plan network.
Charlie Sheen admits President Trump was right about marriage to Brooke Mueller
President Donald Trump once urged Brooke Mueller’s parents to intervene in her marriage to Charlie Sheen — a warning the actor now believes they should have taken seriously.
“It was a trip. I didn’t know Trump was in the [Netflix] doc,” Sheen told Fox News Digital. “I saw it and I called the director. I was like, ‘That’s the coolest thing ever.’ I was like, ‘Whoa!’ And newsflash – they should have heeded his advice.”
In the new Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen,” several people objected to the idea of the couple tying the knot, including Trump. In a clip featured in the docuseries, Trump, 79, recalled during a 2011 sit-down with ABC that he encouraged Mueller’s parents to step in.
CHARLIE SHEEN CALLS DRUGS AND BOOZE A ‘YOUNG PERSON’S GAME’ AFTER PIVOTAL MOMENT LED TO SOBRIETY
“Brooke is from Palm Beach, and I told the parents, ‘Don’t let your daughter marry him. I think he’s wonderful, but he’s a disaster. Don’t let your daughter marry him,’” said Trump.
Sheen met Mueller shortly after the end of his relationship with ex-wife Denise Richards in 2006, and they became engaged nearly a year later.
Charlie Sheen’s friends and family were less than excited when they heard he was engaged.
Sheen’s former “Two and a Half Men” co-star, Jon Cryer, remembered not being able to attend the wedding due to a movie shoot, but his wife went to support the couple.
“My wife called me afterward and said, ‘Oh my God. I have concerns,'” Cryer recalled. “She said, ‘OK, I just want to tell you the toast that Martin Sheen made at the wedding’ and then I braced myself.”
“He apparently stood up, said, ‘I hope you two know what you’re doing,’ and sat back down. That was the entirety of Martin Sheen’s toast at Charlie Sheen’s wedding.”

The union proved to be tumultuous. In 2009, the couple welcomed twins Bob and Max, who were born six weeks prematurely, and required a prolonged hospital stay. Sheen explained that juggling their round-the-clock care and his work on a popular TV show only facilitated a “ton of resentment” toward the show for not giving him time off to take care of his family.
“I remember the night that nine years of no crack came to a tumbling, spectacular close,” he recalled in the film. “She’s in the bathroom with this girl and I can hear them doing blow and I start banging on the door, and I said, ‘If you’re going to do this s— in my house, you need to stop wasting it, and you need to do it properly. Let me show you how to cook this s— up.’ And it was on.”
Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day in 2009 for allegedly threatening to kill Mueller, in addition to holding a knife against her throat. Their divorce was finalized in 2011.
Shortly after the arrest, she recanted her account of the incident, and Sheen’s charges were dropped.
Mueller later agreed that they “went hard, fast” due to their shared addiction struggles.
“If I didn’t recant my story, then he could have gotten into a lot of trouble,” Mueller said. “Not only was he my husband, but I was so incredibly screwed up on serious drugs for a very long time. I can’t sit there and say I know for a fact this happened and this is how it happened or anything like that because of the mind.”

Sheen admitted, “I have my part in it, sure. F— yeah, and I’ve made amends with Brooke about it, over and over.”
Trump wasn’t the only political figure who made an appearance in Sheen’s love life. In his new memoir, “The Book of Sheen,” the actor, 60, wrote that former President Bill Clinton once tried to make a move on his girlfriend Dolly Fox in the 1980s. He said Alan Ruck, his 1986 “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” co-star, told him Clinton had shown interest in the actress.
“I tried to tell rehab patients that story while watching the Lewinsky saga. No one believed me,” Sheen told Fox News Digital. “I was like, ‘Fine, I’ll just put it in a book one day.’ And I did. … There aren’t too many guys who can say two presidents overlapped with their love life. So, I will take that. I will wrap my arms around it.”

“That is awesome,” he continued. “Thank you for pointing that out. Two presidents that overlap [my] love life. … I’ve always had them separate from one another just because of the distance of time.”
The incident with Clinton allegedly occurred during the filming of “Three for the Road” in 1987, when the cast visited the Arkansas governor’s mansion.
“I was answering a reporter’s questions when Ruck overheard Clinton whisper to one of his aides: ‘Find out what you can about the brunette.’ The brunette was Dolly, and to this day Alan swears it was an exact quote,” Sheen claimed.
“I felt bad for Dolly to be objectified and skeeved-out like that, but still had to take some pride in ‘Bubba’ fancying my gal,” the “Two and a Half Men” star wrote of the alleged interaction.
“Alan gave Dolly the rundown in the bar later on that same night,” he continued. “To her credit, she laughed and was actually flattered.”
Today, Fox said she’s standing by Sheen’s claims.

“We were in Arkansas, 1987, shooting a movie. … We did go to the governor’s mansion,” she told Fox News Digital. “It wasn’t creepy. Clinton was never creepy. … He did not do anything wrong to me.”
“I shook his hand, said, ‘Hello . . . How are you?’ I wasn’t looking at the governor. I was in love with Charlie.”
“He was never a creep,” Fox continued. “Utmost respect for the Clintons. … You know, it’s the ’80s. Guys saw a pretty girl, they flirted. It’s no big deal. He didn’t do anything wrong to me.”
Sheen reflected differently in his memoir, writing: “Clearly the behavior that transformed a harmless intern a few years later into a household name had been in play long before her blue dress became famous. It was quite the moment in time to be ringside for that slice of creepy history.”
CHARLIE SHEEN’S EX STANDS BY ACTOR’S CLAIM BILL CLINTON SHOWED INTEREST IN HER DURING THEIR RELATIONSHIP
Fox News Digital reached out to Clinton and Ruck’s representatives for comment.
Clinton has been married to former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, 77, since 1975. The couple share daughter Chelsea Clinton, 45.
In the mid-1990s, Clinton, then president, had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. After the relationship came to light in 1998, Clinton initially denied it. Later, under oath and with physical evidence including Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress, he admitted to an “inappropriate relationship.” The scandal led to his impeachment on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. He was acquitted by the Senate and finished his term.
“Years later in rehab, while watching the Lewinsky hearings play out, I shared the Clinton–Dolly story with my fellow ‘habbers,’” Sheen wrote. “I was still pretty faded on detox meds, and no one believed me. I literally said out loud to the group, ‘It’s cool, I’ll put it in a book one day, and you can all go f— yourselves.’ (And here we are).”
Oral health warning: Scientists find ‘threefold’ cancer risk lurking in the mouth
People with certain bacteria and fungi in their mouths may face a dramatically higher risk of pancreatic cancer — more than three times greater — according to new research from NYU Langone Health and and Perlmutter Cancer Center.
In the study, which was published in JAMA Oncology, researchers identified 27 types of bacterial and fungal species in the mouth’s microbiome that may contribute to the disease.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers — in 2025, an estimated 67,440 Americans will be diagnosed and about 51,980 people will die from it, according to the American Cancer Society.

“Right now, we don’t have good screening tests, and treatment options are limited — so, finding new modifiable risk factors is very important, because it can help us prevent this disease,” co-senior study author Jiyoung Ahn, Ph.D., professor of population health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and associate director for population science at NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, told Fox News Digital.
The researchers analyzed saliva collected from 122,000 healthy adults who participated in two larger cancer studies and followed them for approximately nine years.
The investigators compared the oral microbiota found in 445 patients who developed pancreatic cancer with that of 445 randomly selected cancer-free participants.
Factors such as medical history, smoking habits, race and age were taken into account, the study authors noted.

The investigators identified 24 species of bacteria and fungi that were associated with an increased or lowered risk of the disease, as well as three more bacteria known to be linked to both gum disease and pancreatic cancer.
Collectively, the microbes were associated with more than a threefold increased risk for developing this type of cancer.
“We cannot separate the oral cavity or oral diseases from diseases that happen elsewhere in the body.”
“Altogether, we summarized the effects of these 27 microbial species by creating a risk score that combines each species’ effect size and abundance,” Ahn told Fox News Digital. “Using this approach, we found that individuals with higher scores had a 3.5-fold increased risk of developing pancreatic cancer.”
The connection between poor oral health and pancreatic cancer has been observed in previous studies, but little was known about which species of bacteria are potential culprits.
“Oral microbiome profiling could serve as a non-invasive biomarker to identify individuals at elevated risk who might benefit from enhanced surveillance, which is especially important given the lack of effective early detection methods for pancreatic cancer,” Ahn noted.
These findings emphasize the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene through regular brushing, flossing and dental care.
“This is a modifiable factor for pancreatic cancer prevention,” Ahn said. “This also aligns with broader public health messages, such as the U.S. surgeon general’s report emphasizing that oral health has important effects on overall systemic health.”
Florencia McAllister, M.D., associate professor of gastrointestinal medical oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas, has been tracking microbes in the oral cavity and stool samples.
“In the future, microbial characterization and modulation may be an important part of personalized cancer prevention,” McAllister, who was not associated with the study, told Fox News Digital.

Further investigation is needed to determine whether microbes play a role in cancer development or whether other causes, such as genetics or immunosuppression, are at play, according to the doctor.
Dr. Purnima Kumar, chair of the department of periodontics and oral medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, confirmed the link between oral health and disease.
“We cannot separate the oral cavity or oral diseases from diseases that happen elsewhere in the body,” Kumar, who is also a spokesperson for the American Dental Association, told Fox News Digital. (She was not involved in the study.)

To promote a healthy oral microbiome, the dentist recommends brushing and flossing regularly and performing consistent dental exams.
“This is a modifiable factor for pancreatic cancer prevention.”
Dietary choices and lifestyle habits — such as alcohol use, smoking and vaping — can also affect oral health, Kumar noted.
The study did have some limitations, the study authors acknowledged.
For example, the research established only a correlation between pancreatic cancer risk and oral microbes, and further studies are needed to establish a direct cause and effect.
Moving forward, the team will investigate whether viruses in the mouth contribute to cancer and if the microbiome plays a role in survival outcomes.
