IDF troops forced to ‘open fire’ after Gaza suspects defy multiple warnings
Israel’s military said its troops in northern Gaza were forced to “open fire” Monday on a number of suspects who crossed a boundary that was set up under the ceasefire agreement.
“Earlier today, several suspects were spotted crossing the yellow line and approaching IDF troops in northern Gaza, a clear violation of the agreement,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. “After multiple attempts to distance them, the suspects refused to comply, prompting troops to open fire to remove the threat.”
The IDF also said, “Reports of terrorists infiltrating an IDF position are incorrect.”
“The IDF urges Gaza residents to follow instructions and keep their distance from IDF troops,” it added.
DOZENS KILLED IN GAZA AS VIOLENCE ERUPTS BETWEEN HAMAS AND ARMED CLANS
It’s unclear how many suspects were fired upon. Gaza’s health authority claimed Tuesday that six Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops in two separate incidents, according to Reuters.
Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of IDSF (Israel’s Defense and Security Forum), told Fox News Digital that Israeli forces had controlled nearly 80% of the Gaza Strip before their pullback to the designated “yellow line” on Friday — a position, he said, that helped compel Hamas to agree to the ceasefire.
“The withdrawal enables Israel to maintain control over 53% of the Gaza Strip, including the Philadelphi Corridor, most of Rafah, half of Khan Younis, and sections of northern Gaza,” Avivi said. “Israel holds the high ground overlooking the coastal area, allowing the IDF to best protect Israeli towns.”

He added that Hamas’ ability to smuggle weapons through the Egyptian border has been significantly curtailed.
President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan specifies two more withdrawal phases, leaving the IDF eventually in charge of a security buffer zone.

British actress admits her ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ after peace breakthrough
British actress Frances Barber conceded Monday that she’s changed her view on President Donald Trump following his role in brokering a peace deal between Israel and Hamas earlier this week.
“I had TDS and I’m now eating my words,” she wrote on X Monday, reposting a photo showing a “Thank You” message to Trump written on a Tel Aviv beach.
The actress later confirmed in her comment section that the acronym she used in her post stood for “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
KAMALA HARRIS COMMENDS ‘THE PRESIDENT’ IN MIDDLE EAST STATEMENT, BUT OMITS TRUMP’S NAME
Barber had previously been an outspoken critic of Trump, slamming the president on social media for being a “convicted criminal” and suggesting he should “be in prison with his bestie” Steve Bannon.
The day before her change of heart about Trump, Barber posted to X that she was “deeply moved” by the news that the Israeli hostages being held captive by Hamas had been released.
Although she was happy to hear that the hostages would be coming home to their families, she noted the fact that “none of the women remain” is “too awful for words.”
TRUMP GOES FROM MCDONALD’S TO MIDDLE EAST PEACE IN ‘ONE OF THE GREATEST POLITICAL COMEBACKS,’ THIESSEN SAYS
After more than two years separated from their loved ones, Israeli officials confirmed on Monday that all surviving hostages in Gaza have been returned to Israeli territory.
The prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas began Monday, with Hamas releasing the final 20 living hostages in exchange for Israel freeing 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The release was part of a sweeping 20-point peace plan aimed at ending the conflict and rebuilding Gaza. So far, only four of the 28 presumed dead hostages have been returned.
Trump was praised by world leaders and members of the media on Monday for his role in securing peace between the two warring parties and bringing the hostages home.
“You’re right, we don’t know how the story ends,” Jon Meacham, a presidential historian and former speechwriter for President Joe Biden, said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday. “We can go on and on about the various chapters, but we should make no mistake about this: This is a victory for President Trump and for those who wish that we can govern ourselves at home, and around the world, not simply by brute force, but by ideas and civilized norms.”

Former President Joe Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday that the president deserved credit.
“Of course he does. And I give credit to President Trump, I give credit to [Steve] Witkoff and [Jared] Kushner and [Secretary of State Marco] Rubio,” Sullivan responded.

Country star releases tribute song as Trump honors slain Turning Point founder
President Donald Trump is set to posthumously award Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
Turning Point USA COO Tyler Bowyer, a longtime friend of Kirk, said the moment will be both meaningful and emotional.
“It is an emotional moment because we know how deserved it is,” Bowyer told “Fox & Friends” Tuesday.
“Obviously, not having our friend there is going to be something I think that will be tough.”
TRUMP TO AWARD CHARLIE KIRK MEDAL OF FREEDOM AFTER CAMPUS ASSASSINATION
Bowyer is expected to attend the ceremony at the White House alongside Kirk’s widow and new Turning Point USA CEO, Erika Kirk.
Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10 on the campus of Utah Valley University. He left behind two young children and would have turned 32 on Tuesday.
TRUMP RESPONDS TO CHARLIE KIRK SHOOTING: ‘LOVED AND ADMIRED BY ALL’
Bowyer praised Erika Kirk for her resilience in the wake of her husband’s death.
“Watching Erika and the strength that she has as she’s taking on raising her family by herself and putting the entire organization of Turning Point on her back has been just something to really awe at,” he said.
Country music star Cole Swindell is also honoring Kirk’s legacy, releasing his new single “Make Heaven Crowded.” Swindell told the hosts he was inspired to release the song after hearing Erika Kirk’s address after her husband’s death in which she mentioned the phrase.
“My goodness, am I so humbled to witness Charlie … alongside Jesus right now doing what you always wanted to do. Making heaven crowded, right? That’s what it’s all about. Making heaven crowded,” she said during a televised address in September.
CHARLIE KIRK’S COLLEAGUES AND PASTORS PRAISE HIS PATRIOTISM AS TRUMP READIES HIGHEST CIVILIAN HONOR
Swindell said her comments made him “take a look in the mirror” and write a song that honored Kirk’s legacy.
Trump, who has previously called Kirk a “friend,” is returning to the U.S. for the ceremony after a trip to the Middle East following the release of the remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
“It’s not easy for me to get back. It’s a very quick trip, but I’ll be making two major stops, and then I’ll be on the plane trying to get back in time for Charlie,” Trump said Friday.
Charlie Kirk co-founded Turning Point USA, an organization focused on promoting conservative values among young Americans.
His outspoken style and frequent campus debates over freedom, faith, and family values made him a familiar, and sometimes polarizing, figure among students.
“It’s been quite the ride since I met Charlie Kirk that many years ago,” said Bowyer, who has served as the organization’s COO for more than a decade.
“A young guy who was the most brilliant speaker that I had ever met could really capture a room within moments and change hearts and minds. And I saw that on a face-to-face basis with every college kid that he had ever met when we were on campus.”

Trump to honor fallen conservative giant on what would have been his 32nd birthday
The friends, colleagues and pastors of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) co-founder Charlie Kirk are celebrating his life and legacy promoting faith, family and patriotism as President Donald Trump prepares to award him the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Tuesday.
“Although he was taken from us far too soon, his legacy will inspire generations to come and outlive us all,” “The Charlie Kirk Show” executive producer Andrew Kolvet told Fox News Digital. “He represents the very best of America and is deserving of this and every other possible accolade. Thank you to President Trump for quite literally shifting world events to honor Charlie on what would have been his 32nd birthday.”
“Only Charlie could do that,” Kolvet added.
Kirk was assassinated Sept. 10 while attending a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University’s campus. The conservative movement leader was sitting under a tent while chatting with students when a shot rang out and struck Kirk in the neck, killing him.
TURNING POINT USA EXPANDS ITS MERCHANDISE COLLECTION WITH ITEMS COMMEMORATING CHARLIE KIRK
Following Kirk’s shocking assassination, Republicans and conservatives have vowed that his legacy of promoting family values, upholding the Constitution and spreading his Christian faith will continue.
Trump announced in September he would posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling him “a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people.”
“I have no doubt that Charlie’s voice and the courage he put into the hearts of countless people, especially young people, will live on,” Trump said Sept. 11 when announcing he would award Kirk the honor.
TPUSA’s Chief Operating Officer Tyler Bowyer told Fox News Digital that the award ceremony will be felt by every young adult who has been involved with the conservative advocacy group.
“Charlie will be honored today on behalf of the millions of conservative activists he helped lift up to save the movement and the country. Today in the White House this award will be felt by every young man and young woman who was impacted by his work. They can wear it too by carrying on doing the work,” Bowyer said.
David Engelhardt, lead pastor of Kings’ Church New York City and board member of TPUSA, told Fox News Digital that it’s a “profound privilege to be able to witness this moment recognizing Charlie’s courage, conviction and leadership in defense of faith and freedom.”
‘SLEEPING GIANT’ LIKELY WOKE UP FOR TURNING POINT USA AFTER CHARLIE KIRK’S ASSASSINATION
“Charlie is the right recipient to the Medal of Freedom because he believed that God’s moral order found in faith is not a limit to freedom but the soil it grows in,” said Engelhardt, the pastor and friend of both Charlie Kirk and his wife, Erika. “People who destroy that soil in the name of safe-spaces and to protect against ‘dangerous ideas’ will soon find their land barren. Charlie stood for freedom rightly ordered and founded in the gravity of God’s system.”
Kolvet added in his remarks that the conservative powerhouse’s deep faith and calls to protect freedom and the Constitution will continue to invigorate Americans even after his death.
“Charlie devoted his entire being to saving America, and in many ways, he accomplished even more than that,” Kolvet said. “He proved that the blessings of liberty could be passed down to a whole new generation, even when so many believed all hope was lost. He proved them all wrong. In both life and death his message sparked a revival of faith and freedom all across the world, an impact we’ll never fully understand.”
TRUMP TO AWARD CHARLIE KIRK MEDAL OF FREEDOM AFTER CAMPUS ASSASSINATION
Kirk is set to receive the highest civilian honor Tuesday at 4 p.m. EDT, on what would have been his 32nd birthday. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is awarded to individuals whom presidents determine have made exceptional contributions to the country.
Rob McCoy — Kirk’s longtime pastor, friend and co-chair of TPUSA Faith — told Fox News Digital that Kirk “paid the ultimate sacrifice” to promote and protect freedom.

“Charlie Kirk contended for freedom his entire adult life and paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend this inalienable right given to mankind by the God Charlie trusted and loved,” McCoy said.
Following Kirk’s death, his widow, Erika, was elected as TPUSA’s new chief executive officer to carry on her husband’s legacy of rallying younger generations with conservative principles.
“I feel a sense of deep gratitude to Erika Kirk and the entire Turning Point USA team for their tireless work in continuing to shape a generation grounded in truth and purpose,” Engelhardt added.

Bryan Kohberger took plea deal days after learning his sister was on witness list
Just days after prosecutors added his sister, Amanda Kohberger, to their witness list, Bryan Kohberger agreed to a plea deal, abruptly ending the case before it could go to trial, new court filings reveal.
Newly unsealed court documents show that Amanda Kohberger appeared on the state’s amended witness list and was also named on the defense’s mitigation witness list by lead attorney Anne Taylor.
The overlapping filings show that Amanda was positioned as a potential witness for both sides in the weeks before Kohberger’s plea. Within days of the June 25 filing that listed his sister as a prosecution witness, he accepted a plea deal that spared the case from going to trial.
IDAHO MURDER DOCUMENTS REVEAL VICTIM’S STALKING FEARS AND KOHBERGER’S ‘INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR’ AT SCHOOL
The filings highlight the contrasting strategies at play. Prosecutors’ June 25 witness list spans 180 names, from investigators and forensic experts to victims’ relatives, and notably includes Kohberger’s sister, Amanda.
According to an ABC News report citing copies of 2014 police records, Michael Kohberger, Bryan’s father, once told officers that his son had stolen his sister Melissa’s iPhone. Police declined to comment but confirmed the case had been expunged and the record “no longer exists.”
By contrast, the defense’s mitigation list, filed June 6, named 56 witnesses intended for the sentencing phase, including psychologists, corrections experts and nearly every member of Kohberger’s immediate family.

The case has drawn national attention since the early morning hours of Nov. 13, 2022, when four students — Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Kaylee Goncalves — were found stabbed to death in an off-campus rental home in Moscow, Idaho.
Kohberger, a former Ph.D. criminology student at nearby Washington State University, was arrested in December 2022 after a cross-country investigation.

Two deceased hostages returned to Israel by Hamas identified, causes of death announced
Israel identified two of the four deceased hostages whose coffins it received from Hamas via the Red Cross on Monday and gave their causes of death.
“IDF representatives informed the families of Guy Iluz, Bipin Joshi, and two additional deceased hostages, whose names have not yet been cleared for publication by their families, that their loved ones have been brought back for burial,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Tuesday.
The IDF said its intelligence indicates that Iluz was kidnapped alive and injured by Hamas after escaping the Nova music festival. He later succumbed to his wounds due to not receiving proper medical treatment, the IDF said. Iluz was 26 at the time of his death.

Joshi, according to the IDF, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Alumim, where he was hiding in a bomb shelter. The IDF said that an assessment revealed Joshi was murdered in captivity during the first months of the war. He was 23 years old.
The IDF said final conclusions would be determined after the National Center of Forensic Medicine completed its examination. The identities of the other two deceased hostages have yet to be released.
ISRAELI HOSTAGES REUNITED WITH FAMILIES IN EMOTIONAL MOMENTS
“The families of the hostages and the returned embrace the families of Guy Illouz and Bipin Joshi, along with two additional families whose loved ones were recently returned for proper burial,” the Hostages and Missing Families Forum said in a statement.
“Alongside the grief and the understanding that their hearts will never be whole, the return of Guy and Bipin, may their memories be a blessing, together with two additional deceased hostages, brings some measure of comfort to families who have lived with agonizing uncertainty and doubt for over two years. We will not rest until all 24 hostages are brought home,” the forum added.

On Monday, the final 20 living hostages were released after more than two years in captivity. In addition to the living hostages, Hamas was supposed to hand over the remains of 28 deceased hostages by Monday, though the terror group said it would have trouble locating all the bodies, The Times of Israel reported.
The IDF said that it “continues to make every effort to return all the hostages, as Hamas is required to fulfill its part of the agreement and make the necessary efforts to return all the hostages to their families for proper burial.”
The bodies of 24 slain hostages — which could include U.S. citizens Itay Chen and Omer Neutera — are still in Gaza.
Brewers player faces brutal backlash after ‘lowest IQ’ move in crucial playoff moment
When Brice Turang moved out of the way of a 1-2 breaking ball Monday night, just about everyone watching thought to themselves, “Wear it.”
The bases were loaded for the Milwaukee Brewers with the tying run on third in the bottom of the ninth. Had Turang not moved out of the way, the Brewers very likely would have tied the game.
But instincts got to him, and one pitch later, Turang swung at a ball out of the zone to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 1-0 lead in the National League Championship Series.

Social media users, most of whom have never seen an 85 mph sweeper at their legs, were quick to call out Turang for the supposed brain fart.
“All he had to do was stand there and not move,” wrote one X user.
Another critic called it “probably the lowest iq (at-bat) I’ve ever seen.”
“Dude had one job,” added one more.
“Today’s players just don’t use common sense,” said another.
Turang said he had instant regret when he moved out of the way.
“Well, if you see me look in the dugout, I’m thinking, ‘Damn,'” Turang said. “I know it. Everybody knows it. I couldn’t tell you why I did it. I just got out of the way. That’s just how it is.”
Brewers manager Pat Murphy defended his player.
BREWERS PULL OFF ASTONISHING DOUBLE PLAY AGAINST DODGERS IN NLCS
“When the ball is coming towards you, your natural thing, it’s a breaking ball, your natural thing is to do that,” Murphy said. “And I know he was thinking the same thing after the ball passed. It happens. He’ll learn from that situation. But it’s hard. Even if you try to maneuver yourself, it’s hard to get hit by the pitch because it’s so reactionary.”
There were plenty of other defenders that snuck through the social media toughness.
“Even if I knew a pitch was going to hit me I don’t think I could convince my mind and body not to avoid it,” one wrote.
“Reflexes suck sometimes…” wrote another.

Police shed light on Alec Baldwin and brother Stephen Baldwin’s NY car crash
Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car crash in the Hamptons, New York.
According to the East Hampton Town Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 12:01pm on Monday, October 13th, on State Route 27, Pantigo Road near Cross Highway.
A white 2023 Range Rover, operated by Alec, with passenger Stephen, was found to have struck a tree on the Eastbound shoulder of the roadway while avoiding the turning action of a 2020 Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services out of Bay Shore, NY, a spokesperson for EHTPD told Fox News Digital.
There were no injuries reported or summons issued and the contributing factors to the accident were found to be a reaction to an uninvolved vehicle and the slippery and wet roadway conditions.

Stephen’s rep shared a statement with Fox News Digital: “Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”
Alec took to Instagram to recap the crash and share that he’s “fine.”
“This morning, I was in a car accident. I’m fine,” he began.
Alec alleged that a garbage truck the “size of a whale” cut him off while he was driving his wife, Hilaria Baldwin’s, car.
“To avoid hitting him, I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car. I crushed my wife’s car—I feel bad about that.”
“That’s all fine, and I’m fine, and my brother’s fine. My wife’s car is pretty smashed up. Big tree, big fat tree,” Alec said.
He thanked the East Hampton Police Department and mentioned that he would be headed to Los Angeles soon to see his wife and kids.

“I’m going to L.A. to see my family. Can’t wait. Going out to California to gather my family together, spend a few days out there and then come home,” he said.
He mentioned Hilaria’s elimination from “Dancing with the Stars” last week and said he’s still proud of his wife.
“I’m still so proud of my wife, Hilaria. I love you more than anything, and I’m very proud of you,” Alec concluded.
Hilaria addressed concerns after Alec’s car accident, reassuring fans with a heartfelt message.
“Hey, I’m getting a lot of messages about the accident that Alec was in today, the car accident and I just want you to know he’s OK, Steven is OK, everybody is OK,” she said. “No one was hurt and that’s the most important thing. So I love you and thank you, thank you, thank you for caring.” She also added a caption on social media: “Thank you for checking in. Alec is ok. Be safe to all of you.”

Her “incredible experience” was cut short, though, and she was voted off following her quickstep to a song from “Star Wars: A New Hope” for the show’s Disney night.
Hilaria opened up about the “painful” moments during her journey, while calling out the “misinformation.”
“One of the most heartwarming and painful things that I’ve experienced on this show has been people coming up to me and saying that their friends ask me what it’s like when they actually meet me, and they say ‘She’s so nice,'” she said.
“And they’re telling them that they’re defending me and I think, how sad that there’s so much misinformation and I hope that with the rest of the days that I have I can help other people who feel misunderstood too.”

Trump and Macron plant palms for two-act 26-second marathon handshake
U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron clasped hands during an oddly lengthy handshake that lasted for around 26 seconds.
The handshake, which began in a traditional form, morphed into an arm-wrestling-type grip part of the way through.
The bizarrely long greeting occurred this week as world leaders converged in Egypt to mark the peace deal between Israel and Hamas that Trump helped to broker.

Trump and Macron previously shared an approximately 28-second marathon handshake back in 2017 while Trump was visiting France.
That handshake similarly evolved from one grip into another midway through.
During a small part of the peculiarly protracted handshake, Trump was simultaneously holding Macron with one hand and Macron’s wife with the other.

The two shared a substantial, but significantly less lengthy handshake slightly earlier in 2017, which Macron later commented on.
“My handshake with him is not innocent, it is not the be-all and end-all of a policy, but a moment of truth,” Macron noted, according to a Google translation of a French-language quote reported by Le Journal du Dimanche.
