House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., briefly sparred with CBS’ Margaret Brennan on Sunday over his claims that President Donald Trump will “rig” the midterm elections.

During an interview on “Face the Nation,” Brennan pressed the New York representative about his past comments insisting there were “no election deniers” in the Democratic Party despite recently suggesting the upcoming midterms could be “rigged elections.”

“Democrats were appalled when President Trump used language like that,” Brennan said. “How do you justify using that now? Doesn’t that undermine faith for voters you need to show up?”

‘FULL OF S—‘: NEW YORK REPUBLICAN ACCUSES STATE DEMS OF HYPOCRISY IN REDISTRICTING PUSH

“No, I’ve been using that term in the context of Donald Trump’s unprecedented effort to gerrymander congressional maps in a partisan fashion all across the country in order to rig the midterm elections and deny the ability of the American people to actually decide who should be in the majority as it relates to the House of Representatives,” Jeffries said.

“You know Democrats are also going through gerrymandering and redistricting,” Brennan interrupted.

LIBERALS FLOAT TRUMP WILL TAMPER WITH, CANCEL MIDTERM ELECTIONS

“No. No. No. Well, Democrats are going to push back aggressively to make sure that we have fair maps across the country, not partisan gerrymandering, which Republicans have initiated in state after state after state,” Jeffries insisted.

The interview concluded shortly after that exchange.

Jeffries was previously pressed about his support for redistricting in blue states, including his own, while attacking red state redistricting during an August interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.

“You praised New York’s state legislature for redrawing new ones,” Bash said. “Is criticizing Texas hypocritical given what you pushed for in your own state?”

Bash also pointed out that Jeffries had been against redrawing New York’s congressional maps in 2022.

“What’s important is that in New York, the redrawn map that was actually adopted by the legislature was adopted on a bipartisan basis,” Jeffries said. “Democrats and Republicans in the Assembly voted for the map because the redraw was fair. That’s not what’s happening in Texas. In Texas, this is a racial partisan gerrymander ordered by Donald Trump as part of an effort to rig the midterm elections. And we’re not going to let it happen.”

Brian Kelly became the latest college football coach to get a pink slip before the 2025 season’s end.

LSU informed Kelly of its decision to part ways with him on Sunday following the team’s blowout loss to Texas A&M on Saturday night, ESPN reported. The team is expected to inform Tigers players of the decision and talks about the terms of his impending departure were ongoing, according to the report.

Associate head coach Frank Wilson was expected to be named interim head coach, according to On3 Sports. Wilson is also the team’s running backs coach.

Kelly was a high-profile hire by the Tigers, poaching him from Notre Dame following the 2021 season. He led the Tigers to a 10-4 season in 2022 and a win in the Citrus Bowl.

TEXAS’ STEVE SARKISIAN SLAMS NFL COACHING RUMORS: ‘ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS’

The team made appearances in the ReliaQuest Bowl and Texas Bowl in 2023 and 2024, respectively, but was never able to make the College Football Playoff.

The 2025 season was supposed to change that as Garrett Nussmeier was considered to be a Heisman Trophy favorite going into the season. The Tigers were ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation but losses to the Aggies, Vanderbilt Commodores and Ole Miss Rebels sent the Tigers tumbling.

LSU has now lost three out of their last four games with a matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide on their schedule in less than two weeks. Winning out could still salvage the season, but it will be an uphill climb.

Kelly’s dismissal follows Penn State’s James Franklin, who was dumped earlier this month. There are some major openings in college football heading into the 2026 season.

Alleged ‘narco-banners’ send message to American travelers: Sun, sand and stay away

Two alleged “narco-banners” that surfaced online this month, which warned Americans to stay out of Mexico’s Los Cabos region, have sparked concern about cartel intimidation tactics, even as local officials insist the signs never existed.

The purported messages, signed by a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel known as La Chapiza, threatened violence against U.S. citizens living in or visiting the popular tourist destination. Photos of the banners circulated widely across social media, though authorities in Baja California Sur say investigators found no trace of them.

Wyoming County, Pennsylvania District Attorney Joe Peters, who served in the White House’s drug czar office during the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, told Fox News Digital that whether or not the Cabo banners were physically verified, the tactic itself is consistent with decades of cartel “narco-terrorism.”

“When you’re dealing with a cartel that’s that serious and sophisticated and right at our back door, we have to take it seriously,” Peters said. “It’s a shot over the bow to both governments. They rule by threat and intimidation – the same way the mafia did.”

COAST GUARD NABS 50 TONS OF COCAINE BOUND FOR POSH COASTAL ENCLAVES AS CARTEL OPS ‘RIVAL AMAZON’:  EXPERT

Public “narco -anners,” or narcomantas, have long been used by Mexican cartels as propaganda tools, with the large signs draped across bridges or hung in public plazas to issue threats, claim territory or taunt rivals.

Peters said reports of such banners should be taken seriously given the proximity to America’s borders.

“When you’re dealing with a cartel that serious and that close to our border, we have to take it seriously. Add to that the number of Americans traveling to Latin America for business or pleasure — it’s a ready stock of potential victims for extortion,” he said.

TRUMP STORMS MOST VIOLENT US CITY WITH FEDERAL MUSCLE AS POLICE GROUP WARNS OF SOFT-ON-CRIME CONSEQUENCES

Peters, who served in senior roles in the White House’s Office of National Drug Control Policy under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush, said the current threats echo the global cartel tactics he saw firsthand.

In the 1980s and ’90s, Colombia’s cocaine cartels controlled entire regions through intimidation, corruption and fear tactics that are nearly identical to what’s now unfolding in parts of Mexico.

“Their strategy is simple: if they can control the levers of power in a nation through intimidation, then they control the nation,” Peters said. “They assassinate police, judges and journalists, and they use fear to rule, the same way authoritarian regimes do.”

The difference today, he warned, is proximity. This time, the violence and instability are unfolding just beyond America’s southern border, in places millions of U.S. citizens visit each year for vacations and business.

That closeness, Peters said, makes Americans prime targets for extortion, kidnapping and terror.

“My advice is simple: don’t go unless you really need to,” he said. “Be cautious, and stick to places with an established record of safety.”

Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett was far from elated on Sunday even as he set a franchise record for most sacks in a single game with five.

In the latter stages of the Browns’ 32-13 loss to the New England Patriots, Garrett was seen on the sideline slamming his helmet down in frustration.

He has 112 sacks in his career. The second sack he got on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye set a new bar for pass rushers under 30 years old. He hit 108.5 sacks with the mark and surpassed Reggie White for the record, according to Cleveland.com.

Garrett’s 2025 has been tumultuous at best.

He requested a trade back in February following the team’s poor 2024 season.

NFL FANS DEMAND BROWNS PLAY SHEDEUR SANDERS AFTER LATEST LOSS TO PATRIOTS

“As a kid dreaming of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl – and that goal fuels me today more than ever,” he said in a statement. “My love for the community of Northeast Ohio and the incredible fanbase of the Cleveland Browns has made this one of the toughest decisions of my life. These past eight years have shaped me into the man that I am today.

“While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.

“With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”

About a month later, Garrett signed a contract extension with the Browns. He agreed to a four-year deal reportedly worth $123 million. His agent explained at the time that Garrett had a “change of heart” and decided to chase a title in Ohio.

However, it appeared Garrett’s belief was shaken for a bit as they dropped their sixth game of the season.

For first time ever, Jewish councils in key New Jersey area endorse same gov candidate

In a first for New Jersey politics, Orthodox Jewish leaders across Ocean County have united behind Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli, forming one of the state’s most influential faith-based voting coalitions, according to a report.

The Lakewood Scoop reported that the endorsement — announced jointly by councils representing Lakewood, Jackson, Toms River, Howell, and Manchester — marks an unprecedented show of unity from a community that has become a decisive force in New Jersey politics.

The Vaad — Lakewood’s longtime community council — worked closely with counterparts in nearby towns to align this year’s endorsements.

Leaders told The Lakewood Scoop the effort reflects a deliberate move toward broader collaboration across municipal lines, stressing that this election season is about unity, turnout and shared priorities.

“While the process took a little longer than usual, this time it was for a meaningful reason – for the first time, we worked to ensure that all towns are united and on the same page,” organizers told the outlet. “The focus has been on Achdus – unity and collaboration – so that every community’s voice is represented in one strong collective statement.”

“Every single vote in every single town is critical in this election,” they added. “Each area has its own local races and priorities, but together we share a larger responsibility – turning out every possible vote. This election will be decided by turnout. Let’s make sure our communities are heard loud and clear at the ballot box.”

The Lakewood Scoop also obtained letters from local communities underscoring that unity, including one sent to residents in Howell urging every eligible voter to take part in the election.

“Our voice is only as strong as the number of people who actually vote,” the letter reads. “We strongly recommend voting for the following individuals who have shown care and friendship toward our community: TOGETHER WITH OUR FRIENDS IN NEIGHBORING TOWNS, JACK CIATTARELLI FOR GOVERNOR.”

The letter also lists additional candidates for state and local offices.

The Lakewood Vaad issued an urgent call for unity and turnout across the Orthodox Jewish community, emphasizing that every vote matters as New Jersey enters a pivotal election season. The letter highlights the Vaad’s long-standing practice of consulting rabbinic leadership and community representatives to reach collective, values-based political decisions.

Leaders described voting as both a civic duty and an expression of gratitude to officials who have supported local priorities — especially education funding, transportation and religious freedom.

After thanking President Donald Trump for his efforts on behalf of Israel and his fight against antisemitism, the Vaad endorsed Ciattarelli for governor, citing his alignment with the community’s concerns over schooling, infrastructure and taxes.

Family vacation turns dark as new evidence points to trafficking in cold case: report

New details have reportedly emerged regarding an American college graduate who disappeared from her family’s tropical vacation nearly 27 years ago, potentially cracking open a case that has since gone cold.

Amy Bradley was 23 when her family embarked on a seven-day Royal Caribbean International cruise to the tropics in 1998. The trip was meant to celebrate Bradley’s recent college graduation and her future pursuit of a master’s degree in sports psychology.

But the celebration quickly turned to tragedy when Bradley vanished in the early morning hours of March 24, as the ship was preparing to dock in Curaçao.

Earlier this year, Bradley’s story was revisited in a three-part Netflix documentary series, titled “Amy Bradley is Missing.”

AMY BRADLEY CASE HINGES ON ‘SOMEBODY REMEMBERING’ AS INVESTIGATORS HUNT FOR NEW LEADS 27 YEARS LATER: EXPERT

The show’s release brought in hundreds of new leads to the FBI and Bradley’s family, with three “very significant” revelations piquing the interest of investigators, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While countless theories have circulated regarding Bradley’s disappearance, investigators initially determined the recent college graduate likely fell overboard or jumped from the ship, The Associated Press reported.

However, her family has widely disputed both ideas, and instead have looked to evidence suggesting Bradley may have been a victim of human trafficking while on board the ship.

A source involved in the documentary has revealed evidence gathered after the show’s production provides structure to the latter theory, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

According to the source, a female bar server onboard the cruise ship has reportedly approached authorities to recount that on the night Bradley went missing, she was heard exclaiming to passengers and crew, “Senorita kidnapped! Senorita kidnapped!”

MYSTERY SHROUDS CASE AS AMERICAN TOURIST STILL PRESUMED MISSING IN POPULAR TOURIST PARADISE

The server reportedly did not speak much English, and was promptly taken to the back of the restaurant by a bartender, according to the source.

However, experts point to the importance of this revelation revolving around when the statement was actually made – and not just that it had been said.

“What would be helpful is to know when did that account happen?” Peter Valentin, chair of the Forensic Science Department at the University of New Haven and a former Connecticut State Police detective, told Fox News Digital. “When did this bartender make those statements, and did they precede everyone’s knowledge of her disappearance? It’s really the timing of the statement, not the disclosure.”

Bradley ultimately disappeared after an evening at the ship’s nightclub with her brother. Her father, Ron, last recalled seeing Bradley asleep on the cabin’s balcony.

Bradley vanished half an hour later, prompting a frantic search aboard the ship.

AMY BRADLEY CASE HINGES ON ‘SOMEBODY REMEMBERING’ AS INVESTIGATORS HUNT FOR NEW LEADS 27 YEARS LATER: EXPERT

“When was that statement first made, and was her disappearance public knowledge on the boat?” Valentin said. “Clearly, everybody knew at some point that she was missing, but the timing of the statement – I’m very interested in when that statement was made.”

Another potential break in the case comes from a new “highly suspicious” hit to Bradley’s missing-persons website, which is professionally monitored for activity, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The website has reportedly seen an uptick in activity within the Cuaçao region during family holidays – prompting investigators to theorize that Bradley could be visiting the site to feel closer to her family, or her captors are monitoring the case.

However, a suspicious hit to an IP address belonging to a device on a boat off of Barbados has reportedly piqued authorities’ interest.

“I would [be interested] particularly if the dates really wouldn’t be easy for the public to know,” Valentin said.

YOUNG CREWMEMBER MURDERED ABOARD LUXURY SUPERYACHT IN PARADISE DESTINATION

“It’s speculative, because could it be coincidental? Of course it could be. But if you have the same IP address – or an IP address coming back to the same location – doing this year after year, then I think it does have some potential investigative value, because who’s in that area with knowledge of those family specific dates?”

Perhaps the most notable revelation, however, is new details suggesting Bradley has at least one child, the source told The Hollywood Reporter. While details regarding the possibility of a child remain vague, the source reportedly added Bradley likely gave birth as a result of being forced into sex work.

“For me, I really would focus on the potential child,” Valentin told Fox News Digital. “There’s clearly more details that have not been made public. My sense is that’s what the situation is, because if you believe there’s a child, well, who is that person? And let’s find out – let’s get their DNA, if that’s possible, and let’s make a comparison.”

DETECTIVES’ TRUE CRIME PODCAST HELPS DIG UP BREAKTHROUGH IN CASE THAT HAUNTED FAMILY: ‘DREW AUDIBLE GASP’

Valentin believes that Bradley’s potential child could hold the key for determining what ultimately happened in her disappearance, with investigators using genetic genealogy to confirm that the individual is a relative of Bradley’s.

“If that child is related, it opens up all sorts of questions,” Valentin said. “How did [Bradley] get off the boat? How long did she live when she was off the boat?”

In 2017, the FBI previously released age-progressing images of Bradley with the hopes of igniting new leads within the search.

Despite the numerous leads, authorities have never charged anyone with a crime relating to Bradley’s disappearance.

The FBI, Royal Caribbean and Netflix did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

In light of the new information, Valentin hopes they can bring investigators closer to determining what ultimately happened to Bradley after she disappeared from the ship 27 years ago.

“As much as I’m a bit skeptical about these new leads, of course I’m very hopeful that they are valuable and viable,” Valentin said. “And there’s some closure that comes from all of this.”

Anyone who believes they have information pertaining to Bradley’s disappearance is asked to contact their local FBI office or the nearest American embassy or consulate.

‘Spaving’ is not saving. It could cost you up to $50,000 out of your retirement

Let’s face it — Americans have mastered the art of justifying bad money decisions. We tell ourselves we’re being smart shoppers, but in reality we’re sabotaging our wallets with a sneaky little habit called “spaving” — spending more money in the name of “saving” money.

You’ve seen it. You’ve probably done it. You’re checking out online, your cart says $42, and you see that dreaded $8.99 shipping fee. So, what do you do? You add another $50 worth of items you don’t need just to get “free” shipping. Congratulations — you just spent $50 to save $9. That’s not saving. That’s financial ruin.

It’s the new American pastime with the proliferation of speedy online shopping.

GROCERY BILLS IN AMERICA: HERE ARE THE MOST AND LEAST EXPENSIVE CITIES

The psychology of “spaving”

Retailers are laughing all the way to the bank because they’ve figured out something most people don’t realize about money. We hate losing more than we love winning. The idea of “missing out on a deal” triggers a little emotional panic, and our brains convince us we’re saving money when we’re actually overspending.

It’s why “Buy One, Get One Free” signs exist. You didn’t need the second sweater. You didn’t even want the second sweater. But somehow, paying more felt like saving more. That’s the twisted logic of “spaving.” It’s why the word “sale” doesn’t always equal deal.

And it’s not just about online shopping.

TOP 5 OVERPAYMENT SCAMS TO AVOID

You might drive 20 minutes out of your way to save 10 cents a gallon on gas, only to burn more than that in fuel getting there. You might stock up on enough toilet paper to survive an apocalypse because it’s “cheaper per roll,” while that same $40 could’ve been invested or paid toward debt. You might buy the “family value” meal because it’s a better “deal,” then waste half of it in the fridge.

Each decision feels like a smart move in the moment. But add them up over a year, and you’ll find hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of dollars that evaporated in the name of you thinking you were saving. Glad that college education could pay off.

Why “spaving” destroys your financial future

Here’s the harsh truth about your family finances. Small leaks sink big ships. The road to financial success isn’t paved with coupons and “limited-time offers.” It’s built on discipline, delayed gratification and a deep understanding of where your money actually goes.

When you’re “spaving,” you’re not saving — you’re consuming. And every dollar you waste now is a dollar that could’ve been compounding for your future retirement.

PROGRESSIVE CITIES FACE BILLIONS IN ECONOMIC LOSSES AS RETAIL CRIME SURGES 93% SINCE 2019

Let’s do a little math. Suppose you “spave” just $100 a month. That’s $1,200 a year. If you invested that same amount annually for 20 years at a modest 7% return, you’d have over $50,000. That’s the cost of all those “deals” that felt too good to pass up.

It’s also why most Americans stay stuck in the same financial rut. They think they’re being responsible shoppers, but they’re feeding a habit that’s the opposite of wealth-building.

You might drive 20 minutes out of your way to save 10 cents a gallon on gas, only to burn more than that in fuel getting there.

Real savers don’t chase deals. They make smart decisions

We’ve confused saving with spending less aggressively. Real savers don’t look for excuses to buy, but instead they look for reasons not to buy. They buy what they need, when they need it and they let the rest sit.

Here’s a challenge: next time you see a “spend more to save more” offer, stop and ask yourself the financial acid test:

BUY NOW, PAY LATER IS THE WORST THING FOR CONSUMERS SINCE PAYDAY LOANS

  1. Would I buy this if it weren’t on sale?
  2. Do I actually need this right now?
  3. Is this money better spent or invested somewhere else?

If you can’t answer “yes” to the first two, close your browser. Walk out of the store. Get back in the car.

Discipline is the key

Building wealth isn’t about chasing a buy-one, get-one deal or your fear of missing out on an Instagram reel. It’s about controlling behavior. Every time you “spave,” you’re trading future financial freedom for a fleeting sense of instant satisfaction.

Retailers are playing chess while most consumers are playing checkers. They understand your psychology better than mom does these days. That’s why you get those “just for you” emails and “cart reminder” notifications. They know how to make you feel like you’re winning by spending.

Retailers are laughing all the way to the bank because they’ve figured out something most people don’t realize about money.

But here’s what the truly wealthy understand: you don’t save money by spending it. You save money by keeping it.

The next time you’re tempted to add one more item to hit that free-shipping threshold, remember that you’re not outsmarting the system. The system is outsmarting you. Stop “spaving.” Start saving. Your future self will thank you and your net worth will finally start growing for real.

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau just took a major step in their relationship.

On Oct. 25, the pair made their first public appearance while walking out of the Crazy Horse Paris. According to TMZ, the couple attended a cabaret show at the Parisian hot spot in celebration of the pop star’s 41st birthday.

In photos obtained by Fox News Digital, Perry and Trudeau were all smiles as they walked hand-in-hand. At one point, Perry lovingly glanced at Trudeau.

The duo were first spotted dining together in July at Le Violon in Montréal, per footage obtained by TMZ.

During her concert at London’s O2 arena earlier this month, Perry appeared to break her silence on her new romance with Trudeau while making a cheeky reference to ex Orlando Bloom, a U.K. native.

Perry and Bloom confirmed their breakup in July after more than a decade together, while Trudeau separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire, in 2023.

“They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes,” the source said. “She is traveling around the world, and he is figuring out his life now that he is no longer prime minister of Canada, but there is an attraction. They have a lot in common.”

President Donald Trump danced alongside Malaysian performers as he was greeted on the first leg of his Asia tour.

The White House dubbed his moves, “TRUMP DANCE MALAYSIA VERSION” on social media. The performance was part of a greeting for Trump laid out by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The five-day trip will see Trump meet with newly-elected Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo as well as Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea.

Trump also oversaw the signing of a peace agreement between Cambodia and Thailand on Sunday.
