President Donald Trump said he does not expect the U.S. to go to war with Venezuela but defended recent military strikes in the Caribbean, accusing Nicolás Maduro’s regime of flooding the U.S. with criminals and agreeing that Maduro’s days as president are numbered.

The U.S. military has carried out more than a dozen strikes on vessels allegedly carrying drugs in international waters near Venezuela, killing dozens of suspected narco-terrorists, while the USS Gerald R. Ford and its strike group have been deployed to the U.S. Southern Command region. The escalations have raised questions about whether the U.S. may be lining up to topple the Venezuelan president.

In an interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” host Norah O’Donnell asked Trump about the repositioning of the USS Gerald R. Ford to the Caribbean and whether the U.S. is going to war with Venezuela.

“I doubt it, I don’t think so, but they’ve been treating us very badly, not only on drugs. They’ve dumped hundreds of thousands of people into a country that… we didn’t want –  people from prisons,” Trump said. “They emptied their prisons into our country. They also, if you take a look, they emptied their mental institutions and their insane asylum into the United States of America because Joe Biden was the worst president in the history of our country.”

IS TRUMP’S ‘HEAT’ ON VENEZUELA THE START OF A WIDER CAMPAIGN FOR REGIME CHANGE?

O’Donnell pressed Trump about the scale of the military operation, asking if it was more about stopping narcotics or removing Maduro.

Trump said the situation was about many things, reiterating that Venezuela allowed its prisons to empty into the U.S.

“To me, that would be almost number one because we have other countries like Mexico has been very bad to us in terms of drugs. Okay. Very bad,” he said. “We have a closed border right now… So think of this: zero people coming into our country through our southern border.”

TRUMP ANNOUNCES US MILITARY CONDUCTED ‘LETHAL STRIKE’ ON VENEZUELAN DRUG BOAT IN CARIBBEAN

When O’Donnell asked Trump if Maduro’s days as president of Venezuela are numbered, Trump responded: “I would say yeah. I think so, yeah.”

Later, O’Donnell asked Trump whether there was any truth to reports of possible land strikes in Venezuela, which the president would not address.

“I’m not saying it’s true or untrue,” he said, adding that he would not talk to a reporter about plans to strike another country.

TRUMP UNLEASHES US MILITARY POWER ON CARTELS. IS A WIDER WAR LOOMING?

Trump said Friday he was not considering strikes inside Venezuela, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the White House both pushed back against reports citing unnamed sources claiming any such plan was underway.

A reporter asked Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Saturday at a gathering of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) defense ministers in Kuala Lumpur whether the United States was planning to strike inside Venezuela.

“Appreciate the question. But, of course, we would not share any amount of operational details about what may or may not happen,” Hegseth told reporters Saturday.

A car crash involving a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle in suburban Chicago escalated into a violent arrest caught on camera as a crowd taunted agents.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Fox News Digital that the violent confrontation unfolded Friday in Evanston, Illinois, after a suspect “aggressively tailgated” a Border Patrol vehicle and “grabbed the agent’s genitals and squeezed them.” The incident quickly drew what officials described as a “hostile” crowd of onlookers, devolving into chaos.

As federal agents took the driver of the civilian vehicle into custody, several bystanders confronted them, leading to one or two additional arrests, FOX 32 Chicago reported, citing the police.

Video from the scene shows an agent wrestling a suspect to the ground and striking him multiple times as bystanders shouted profanity and tried to intervene, with one person attempting to pull an agent away. Another officer was seen raising what appeared to be a can of pepper spray to hold the crowd back, while the suspect could be heard saying that he could not breathe during the struggle.

ICE OFFICERS IN ILLINOIS TARGETED BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WHO USED ‘VEHICLES AS WEAPONS,’ OFFICIALS SAY

According to DHS, the Border Patrol vehicle had been “aggressively tailgated by a red vehicle.” When agents attempted to make a U-turn, the sedan collided with their car. One of the suspects then “physically assaulted” an agent by kicking and targeting his groin, prompting the officer to deliver “defensive strikes.”

“A hostile crowd then surrounded agents and their vehicle and began verbally abusing them and spitting on them,” DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital in a statement on Sunday. “One physically assaulted a Border Patrol agent and kicked an agent. As he was being arrested, he grabbed the [agent’s] genitals and squeezed them. As you know this is an extremely painful experience for most human beings and justifies certain responses, the agent delivered several defensive strikes to the agitator to free his genitals from the agitator’s vice.”

The arrest occurred amid heightened tensions in Evanston, where community members have established “rapid response” teams to monitor federal agents and alert residents when they are in the area.

In response to the incident, Mayor Daniel Biss called on more residents to join the city’s “rapid response” teams and noted that city officials have passed ordinances designating certain city properties as “No ICE Zones.”

“I will continue to track the movement of federal agents in and around Evanston and ensure that the Evanston Police Department is responding in the appropriate fashion,” Biss said in a post on Facebook.

At a news conference shortly after the episode, Biss continued to condemn the actions of federal immigration agents, saying they had “assaulted Evanston residents, beaten people up, grabbed them,” and “abducted them.”

“It is an outrage,” Biss said. “Our message for ICE is simple: Get the hell out of Evanston.”

Cris Collinsworth, a former Cincinnati Bengals star and NBC broadcaster, made a joke about the government shutdown during the Seattle Seahawks’ monstrous 38-14 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday night.

As the game changed from the third to the fourth quarter, the NBC broadcast showed the U.S. Capitol.

“There’s a calm place,” Collinsworth said, which generated a chuckle out of play-by-play man Mike Tirico.

The government shutdown is set to enter its sixth week. President Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” he believed Democrats will eventually give in to Republicans’ demands as the two sides have not been at the negotiating table at all.

“I think they have to,” Trump said. “And if they don’t vote, it’s their problem.”

Meanwhile, the Seahawks were beating up the Commanders behind a fiery start from Sam Darnold. The veteran quarterback completed his first 17 passes and didn’t throw an incompletion until his first drive of the third quarter.

Darnold had four touchdown passes in the first half – two to Tory Horton and one each to Cody White and Elijah Arroyo. Seattle scored 28 points before the halftime whistle.

Darnold was 21-of-24 with 330 passing yards. He did have a second-half interception.

Seahawks tight end A.J. Barner had a rushing touchdown in the game as Jaxson Smith-Njiba led Seattle with eight catches for 129 yards.

An Arizona Superior Court judge has resigned after allegedly being caught urinating in public just steps from the courthouse where she served.

Prescott police responded around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 4 after witnesses reported a woman relieving herself near Montezuma and Gurley Street, on the same block as the Courthouse Plaza where she worked, FOX 10 first reported.

Bodycam video obtained by Fox News Digital appears to show Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson pulling up her pants before quickly sitting on a bench.

“This is disgusting,” the responding officer says as he approaches Schaaf-Olson.

The video shows Schaaf-Olson struggling to spell her own name as the officer attempts to identify her.

Moments later, Schaaf-Olson’s husband, Jason Olson, who serves as the parks and recreation manager for the Town of Chino Valley, according to FOX 10, approaches the scene and tries to pull his wife away from the officers – repeatedly refusing orders to step back.

When asked why she was being questioned, the officer replied, “Because I just saw her puking and urinating, exposing herself to several people.”

“Nope. That wasn’t her,” Jason Olson insists.

As Jason Olson continues to resist police commands, the officer throws him to the ground.

“Get your a– on the f—ing ground, dude,” the officer says.

“I’m not doing anything!” Jason Olson says.

“515, we’re fighting,” the officer can be heard saying as several other officers work to restrain and handcuff Jason Olson.

Schaaf-Olson was cited for urinating or defecating in public – a misdemeanor offense.

The video shows her identifying herself as a judge, saying, “That’s fine. I want to let you know, my name is Judge Kristyne Olson.”

Schaaf-Olson is also seen struggling to sign the citation.

“Nope, right here on the screen. On the screen,” an officer says.

Jason Olson was cited for resisting arrest, interfering with a crime scene investigation and obstruction of government operations, according to FOX 10.

Days later, Yavapai County Superior Court confirmed Schaaf-Olson had submitted her resignation, effective Oct. 31.

“My resignation comes after careful consideration of current physical, medical and family circumstances,” Schaaf-Olson said in an Oct. 6 statement.

She added, “The Yavapai community deserves and has judges who are steadfast in their commitment to serving Yavapai County, considering current events in my life, I believe it would be difficult to honor this commitment. I have therefore decided to resign.”

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence found wide receiver Parker Washington on an 18-yard pass. Head coach Liam Coen opted for the field goal try instead of a long Hail Mary attempt. The gamble proved to pay dividends as it got Jacksonville on the board before the half.

Little broke the mark originally set by former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

Tucker hit a 66-yard field goal to help the Ravens to a win over the Detroit Lions in September 2021.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin hit a 65-yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this season, which tied Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey for second-longest all-time at the time. Aubrey also hit a 64-yarder against the New York Giants this season.

Little was no stranger to kicking long field goals. He wowed NFL fans when he hit a 70-yard field goal in the preseason. Eight kickers have attempted 70-yarders in the regular season and all of them failed. It could be Little’s next record to knock down.

A chaotic late-night brawl broke out inside a Domino’s Pizza in Glassboro, New Jersey, over the weekend, ending with two men allegedly assaulting a police officer, according to authorities.

Glassboro police said officers were called to the restaurant shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday for reports of a large fight. As officers attempted to make arrests, two suspects allegedly picked up a chair and hurled it at one of the officers, striking him in the back of the head. Police said the men appeared “extremely hysterical” as they ran from the scene.

Surveillance footage from inside the Domino’s shows pandemonium — customers wearing Halloween accessories, people standing on tables and chairs and others recording on their phones as tensions escalated. At one point, two men were seen grabbing a red chair and hurling it out of frame as bystanders filmed the chaos before scattering.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry packed on the PDA while celebrating after the Los Angeles Dodgers triumphed over the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series.

On Saturday, the Dodgers became back-to-back World Series champions when they defeated the Blue Jays in the 11th inning of Game 7. In a video shared on her Instagram Story, Markle, 44, and Harry, 41, were seen watching the game’s conclusion with the former “Suits” actress’s friend Kelly Mckee Zajfen.

In the black and white clip, which appeared to be taken inside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private theater room, Harry and Zajfen were seen sitting in chairs while Markle was heard shrieking excitedly off camera.

Markle was then seen cheering and crying out “Oh my God!” as she walked over to Harry’s chair and planted a kiss on his lips while Zajfen clapped. She and Zajfen then jumped up and down before hugging. Meanwhile, Harry, who remained seated, looked on and chuckled with amusement.

While Markle and Harry had both previously appeared to be supporting the former actress’s hometown team, Zajfen hinted that their loyalties were divided.

The Alliance of Moms founder shared Markle’s latest clip on her own Instagram Story, writing, “Best game ever!!! Sorry H your team didn’t win but mine diiiiiiiiid. @dodgers I LOVE YOU!!!!”

However, some of Markle’s critics on social media slammed her celebratory video as inauthentic.

“LOOKS SO FAKE,” one X user wrote along with a “Staged” GIF.

“So scripted,” added another along with a string of crying-laughing emojis.

“Load of performative fakery! She just so happened to have a camera set up,” one detractor wrote.

“This is irritating to see,” another added. “Fake AF. Of course it was NOT staged because, you know, the camera was perfectly positioned to capture everyone. Oh my gosh! Look how happy we are and so into each other. See, we have a friend and it’s not my bottle of wine.”

Another fan pointed to Zajfen’s post, noting, “He was a [Dodgers] fan the other day, but after the backlash, he’s now a Blue Jays fan. Pair of clowns.”

On Tuesday, Markle and Harry both rocked blue Dodgers caps as they attended Game 4 of the 2025 World Series at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.

While Markle is an LA native and a longtime Dodgers fan, Harry’s show of support for the team surprised some fans, who commented online that they believed that the royal should root for the Blue Jays due to Canada’s constitutional link to the United Kingdom.

While at the game, the couple color-coordinated their ensembles with Markle wearing a white button-down shirt with a navy sweater draped over her shoulders with dark pants, while Harry donned a navy blazer over a white T-shirt with dark trousers.

The couple were spotted seated in the front row behind home plate, ahead of baseball icon Sandy Koufax.

Harry and Markle’s seating placement drew ire from online critics as well as New York Mets broadcaster Howie Rose, who said Koufax shouldn’t take a back seat to anyone.

“How does Sandy end up in the second row?” Rose posted on X.

“Maybe those are his permanent, personal seats but Sandy Koufax takes a back seat to no one,” he added. “Especially at Dodger Stadium.”

Harry and Markle were also seated in the row ahead of NBA legend and Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson.

Koufax, 89, is one of the most decorated pitchers in MLB history. The Brooklyn-born Koufax spent his entire career with the Dodgers.

However, Koufax appeared unbothered by the seating arrangement as he was photographed having a friendly interaction with the couple.

Oregon sovereignty at stake as judge freezes Trump’s National Guard deployment

U.S. District Court Judge Karin Immergut on Sunday temporarily extended an order blocking the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, saying the government failed to justify the move.

In an order issued Sunday evening, Immergut “preliminarily enjoins Defendant Secretary of Defense Hegseth from implementing” memorandums that authorized the federalization and deployment of National Guard members from Oregon, Texas and California into Portland.

The injunction will remain in effect “until this Court issues its final opinion on the merits by Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, no later than 5 p.m.”

Immergut said that the court witnessed “three days of testimony and argument in a trial that ended 48 hours ago,” reviewing more than 750 exhibits, many of them voluminous. She wrote that “the interest of justice requires that this Court complete a thorough review of the exhibits and trial transcripts before issuing a final decision on the merits.”

TRUMP TEAM URGES OREGON JUDGE TO END RESTRAINING ORDER BLOCKING NATIONAL GUARD

Ultimately, she assessed the Trump administration’s actions and found the government’s justification lacking.

“Based on the trial testimony, this Court finds no credible evidence that during the approximately two months before the President’s federalization order, protests grew out of control or involved more than isolated and sporadic instances of violent conduct that resulted in no serious injuries to federal personnel,” she wrote.

The judge further concluded that the president “likely did not have a colorable basis” to invoke either Section 12406(3) or Section 12406(2) to federalize and deploy the National Guard to Portland’s ICE facility.

Immergut pointed to testimony from local law enforcement – officials who had firsthand knowledge of demonstrations – as key to her conclusion that the protests did not amount to a rebellion.

FEDERAL COURT TO REVIEW CASE RELATING TO TRUMP’S AUTHORITY TO SEND NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS TO PORTLAND, OREGON

“Based on trial testimony that this Court found credible, particularly the testimony of Portland Police Bureau command staff, who work in Portland and have first-hand knowledge of the crowds at the ICE building from June to the present, the protests in Portland at the time of the National Guard call outs are likely not a ‘rebellion,’ and likely do not pose a danger of rebellion,” she wrote.

Immergut also concluded that the administration’s actions likely violate statutory limits and constitutional protections.

The judge wrote that “Defendants’ federalization and deployment of the National Guard in response to protests outside a single federal building in Portland, Oregon, extended beyond delegated statutory authority under 10 U.S.C. § 12406 and violated the Tenth Amendment.”

She added that sending in troops from one state into another infringes on state sovereignty, describing it as “an injury to Oregon’s sovereignty under the Constitution, and Oregon’s equal sovereignty among the States.”

The judge said she expects to issue her final opinion on the merits by Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, by 5 p.m. PT. Until then, “the Oregon National Guard may remain federalized, but not deployed.”

Farmer warns California ballot measure would ‘silence rural voices’ in Congress

California voters are in the final days of a special election that could help determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2026. The ballot measure, known as Proposition 50, would allow state lawmakers to temporarily redraw California’s congressional map — a move Democrats say could help them pick up additional seats in Congress.

Jenny Holtermann, a fourth-generation farmer in California’s Central Valley, said that under the proposed map, she would remain in a Republican District, but worries about the changes could affect her community.

“It really is, it’s sad that they are really carving out those Republican areas of the district and moving them to really make the areas more Democrat, and that’s not what the Central Valley is,” Holtermann told Fox.

Beyond Central Valley farmers, the California Farm Bureau has also come out against Prop 50. Holtermann said she’s used to larger cities having more political influence in Sacramento but fears the measure would further silence rural voices.

“We are California, and as Californians we should not be caught up with what other states are doing to [gerry]mander their votes,” Holtermann said.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA VOTERS WEIGH IN ON PROP 50 REDISTRICTING FIGHT

Lonny Johnson, vice chair of the Fresno County Democratic Party, said he doesn’t welcome the fight either, but argued that redistricting efforts in Republican-led states left California Democrats with few options.

“We can either fight this – which is what we’re doing – and the people of California seem very supportive if you look at recent polling, or we can do nothing. We can let them game the system, keep control of the House of Representatives, and there will be no check, no check, on the Trump Administration,” said Johnson.

Johnson added that unlike other states, the question of redistricting is up to California voters.

“This was not an option that was afforded the voters of Texas, or the voters of North Carolina, or the voters of Missouri. The state legislatures just put it in,” Johnson told Fox.
