Venezuelan leader seeks US talks as Trump weighs action on ‘drug dealers’
President Donald Trump said Sunday that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro wants talks with the U.S. as tensions mount between the nations, but stressed that he has not planned or authorized any land-based military strikes against the South American nation.
Speaking with reporters before boarding Air Force One in West Palm Beach, Trump said a recent U.S. designation of a Venezuelan-linked cartel gives the government the authority to target Maduro’s assets or infrastructure. He added that while such actions are possible, no decision has been made.
“It allows us to do that,” Trump said. “But we haven’t said we’re going to do that…we may be having some discussions with Maduro, and we’ll see how that turns out. They would like to talk.”
TRUMP NEXT EYES ‘LAND’ IN DRUG WAR, WARNS CARTEL BOATS ARE ‘NOT FASTER THAN MISSILES’
The president said his administration is keeping Congress informed about ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking through Venezuela and Mexico but emphasized that he does not need lawmakers’ approval to act. He said communication with Congress is meant to keep them aware, not to seek authorization.
Trump added that he told Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other officials to meet with lawmakers and convey that the U.S. will not allow narcotics to flow through either country.
“We like to keep Congress involved,” he said. “I mean, we’re stopping drug dealers and drugs from coming into our country.”
TRUMP AGREES MADURO’S DAYS AS VENEZUELA’S PRESIDENT ARE NUMBERED IN ‘60 MINUTES’ INTERVIEW
Trump warned members of Congress not to leak sensitive details about U.S. operations that could endanger military or intelligence personnel. Trump said he supports transparency but acknowledged that sharing classified information could put American lives at risk.
“The only thing I don’t want them to do is leak information that’s very important and confidential,” he said. “And they put our military at risk or whoever is doing, you know, CIA, military, etc.”
Trump said several countries are backing U.S. efforts to pressure Venezuela, describing the campaign as part of a broader fight against narcotics and illegal immigration. He accused the Maduro regime of releasing violent prisoners into the United States and said his administration is removing them.
TRUMP SAYS VENEZUELA’S MADURO DOESN’T WANT TO ‘F*** AROUND’ WITH THE US
“Yeah, we have great support because it’s all about drugs,” he said. “Well, in Venezuela’s case, it’s about drugs, and it’s also about thousands, hundreds of thousands, of people that they’ve released into our country.”
He said the Biden administration bears responsibility for what he called a historic border crisis, pointing to the influx of migrants and criminals who entered under the previous administration.

“Our country is doing so well,” Trump said. “But what the Biden administration did to our country should never be forgotten.”
“The single worst thing they did is allow 20 or 25 million people to pour into our country,” he continued. “People from prisons, drug dealers, mental institutions, bad people, gang members – to allow that to happen to the United States, totally unchecked and unvetted, should never be forgotten.”
Marines exchange gunfire protecting US embassy from suspected gang members
U.S. Marines protecting the American embassy in Haiti exchanged gunfire with suspected gang members last week, a Marine spokesman said.
Capt. Steven J. Keenan told Fox News Digital in an emailed statement Sunday that Marines supporting embassy security operations were fired upon by suspected gang members in the capital of Port-au-Prince and returned fire on the evening of Nov. 13.
“U.S. Marines are committed to the safety and security of U.S. embassies worldwide and respond to all threats with professionalism and swift, disciplined action,” Keenan said.
No service members were injured in the incident, which was first reported over the weekend by The Washington Post.
US MILITARY BUILDUP IN CARIBBEAN SEES BOMBERS, MARINES AND WARSHIPS CONVERGE NEAR VENEZUELA
Neither the State Department nor the U.S. Embassy in Haiti immediately responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The Caribbean nation has been plagued by gang violence, with armed groups reportedly controlling up to 90% of Port-au-Prince, according to the United Nations. The groups block access roads, attack infrastructure, and terrorize civilians through kidnappings, rapes and killings.
There has been no elected government in Haiti since the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021.
The U.N. said a gang suppression force of 5,550 was set to begin operations in Haiti on Oct. 2, working alongside Haitian authorities to neutralize gangs, secure infrastructure and support humanitarian access.
The multinational mission, authorized by the U.N. Security Council, aims to “protect vulnerable populations from escalating violence and prevent the displacement that inevitably causes.”
It remains unclear which countries will contribute personnel, though the force will be funded primarily through voluntary contributions from U.N. member states.

The State Department has a “Level 4: Do Not Travel” warning for Haiti on its website due to the risks of kidnapping, crime, terrorist activity and civil unrest.
It ordered nonemergency U.S. government employees and their family members to leave the country in July 2023 due to security risks. The country has been under a state of emergency since March 2024.

Rep Greene apologizes for taking part in ‘toxic politics’ after Trump attacks
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., apologized for taking part in “toxic politics” during a CNN interview on Sunday, when pressed on her speaking out against threats levied against her in the wake of her feud with President Donald Trump.
“Obviously, any threats to your safety are completely unacceptable, but we have seen these kinds of attacks or criticism from the president at other people. It‘s not new. And with respect, I haven‘t heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you,” CNN host Dana Bash said during “State of the Union.”
Greene said the criticism was “fair.”
Greene posted to social media on Saturday about threats and wrote, “I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world.”
MARJORIE GREENE SAYS TRUMP’S ‘TRAITOR’ LABEL COULD PUT HER LIFE IN DANGER
Greene then apologized and said toxic politics were very bad for the country.
“I would like to say humbly, I‘m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics. It’s very bad for our country, and it’s been something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated, is that we, I’m only responsible for myself and my own words and actions, and I am committed, and I’ve been working on this a lot lately to put down the knives in politics,” she said.
She said she wanted to see people be kind to one another, and added that Americans have more in common than they have differences.
MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE SAYS SHE HOPES TO ‘MAKE UP’ WITH TRUMP AMID ONGOING FEUD
Bash pointed to specific examples, including “the Facebook post that was taken down of you in 2020, holding a gun alongside the Squad, encouraging people to go on the offense against the socialists, liking a tweet of somebody calling for the execution of Nancy Pelosi and former President Obama.”
“I addressed that back in 2021, and of course, I never want to cause any harm or anything bad for anyone, so that that was addressed back then. And I very much stand by my words. I said then and I stand by my words today. I think America needs to come together and end all the toxic, dangerous rhetoric and divide. And I‘m leading the way with my own example. And I hope that President Trump can do the same,” Greene responded.

Trump called Greene a “traitor” on Saturday and also announced he was dropping his endorsement of her.
The Republican lawmaker has been a vocal supporter of the president since she entered Congress, but has broken with him on the release of the Epstein files, and some of his administration’s foreign policy.
FAA gives major update about flights nationwide ahead of Thanksgiving
The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) flight reduction emergency order will officially end Monday morning, allowing normal operations to resume nationwide, according to officials.
The order will be lifted at 6 a.m. ET Monday following recommendations from the FAA’s safety team. The decision came after safety reviews and improvements in air traffic control staffing levels across the U.S., according to a Sunday announcement from the FAA.
“I want to thank the FAA’s dedicated safety team for keeping our skies secure during the longest government shutdown in our nation’s history and the country’s patience for putting safety first,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said in a statement. “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, controllers have returned to their posts and normal operations can resume.”
FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS SLASHED AT 40 MAJOR US AIRPORTS AS GOVERNMENT REOPENS, STAFFING IMPROVES
Duffy added, “Now we can refocus our efforts on surging controller hiring and building the brand new, state-of-the-art air traffic control system the American people deserve.”
Since the government shutdown ended, staffing levels have largely shifted back to normal, according to the announcement.
On Friday, there were six staffing triggers, eight on Saturday, and just one on Sunday — data the FAA said is consistent with pre-shutdown conditions.
By contrast, 81 triggers were reported on Nov. 8.

The lifted order will also end some limits on general aviation operations at 12 airports, visual flight rule approaches at facilities with staffing triggers, commercial space launches and reentries, parachute operations and photo missions, according to the announcement.
“Today’s decision to rescind the order reflects the steady decline in staffing concerns across the NAS and allows us to return to normal operations,” FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford said in a statement. “I am grateful for the hard work of the FAA safety and operations teams and for their focus on the safety of the traveling public.”

On Friday, Duffy and Bedford announced the required flight reductions at 40 U.S. airports would be lowered from 6% to 3% as the government reopened after a record-breaking shutdown.
The change went into effect Saturday at 6 a.m., following a recommendation from the FAA safety and operations team.
The FAA did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment.
Democratic socialist challenges incumbent Karen Bass in Los Angeles mayoral race
Democratic socialist candidate Rae Huang launched her campaign for Los Angeles mayor against Democratic incumbent Karen Bass.
“I am excited and very humbled to announce that I am running for Mayor of Los Angeles, the second largest city in our nation,” Huang wrote on her Instagram account Saturday. “After over 20 years of leaning into my call to serve God through social justice work and organizing, this path has led me in these uncertain times to take the unusual path to continue my calling by running for Mayor to finally see through the changes the LA social justice movement and I have been building for years.”
The 43-year-old community organizer and Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member wrote that her campaign will focus on universal housing, free transportation, climate resiliency and affordability, issues that resemble New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani‘s initial campaign.

She wrote that she also aims to take on what she called the “establishment” in the city.
“Over the past decade, I have worked with Los Angeles organizers and neighbors on solutions for our city. Now it’s time we implement them. I will be running against establishment and the billionaire class and will not be accepting any money from corporations,” Huang wrote.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Huang avoided direct comparisons to Mamdani but added that she hopes to get an endorsement from the local DSA chapter, which celebrated Mamdani’s win.
She expressed disappointment in Bass’ leadership on homelessness and in dealing with recent political violence over the summer, calling her new campaign a “moment for change.”
“We are in a place in our country and in our political environment where folks feel stuck and afraid,” Huang said. “They feel like nothing is going to change, and the things that are changing are making things even worse.”
FLASHBACK: LA MAYOR KAREN BASS WAS ONCE CONSIDERED TOP VP CHOICE BY BIDEN, PRAISED BY OBAMA AS ‘OUTSTANDING’
Fox News Digital reached out to Huang for comment.
Bass spokesperson Doug Herman defended the mayor’s record in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“Under Mayor Bass’s leadership, there has been unprecedented progress on the issues that matter most to Angelenos,” Herman said. “Homelessness has declined for the first time in two consecutive years, neighborhoods are safer with significant drops in crime, and the Palisades fire recovery continues far ahead of pace with the fastest recovery and rebuilding in California history. In addition, there was no better defender of Los Angeles than Mayor Karen Bass when Trump’s ICE raids started and we won a court ruling to help stop the illegal raids and unconstitutional arrests. That’s what we need to move Los Angeles forward.”
In the past year, more progressive candidates have been challenging incumbent Democrats across the country.

‘Absolutely terrible call’ infuriates NFL broadcaster as Eagles escape with victory
NFL broadcaster Cris Collinsworth was upset with one of the last penalties thrown in the game as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Detroit Lions, 16-9, on Sunday night.
The Eagles had the ball on third down with about 1:47 to go in the game. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown was jockeying with Lions defensive back Rock Ya-Sin as Jalen Hurts tried to continue a drive. The pass was incomplete, but a penalty flag was thrown.

Ya-Sin was called for pass interference, effectively making it nearly impossible for the Lions to get the ball back with enough time to try to tie the game. Collinsworth was upset with the call.
“That is an absolutely terrible call that is going to decide this football game,” Collinsworth said on the penalty called on Ya-Sin. “If anything, it’s an offensive push.
“If you want to call a foul, it’s an offensive foul.”
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley would ice the game on third down of the following drive.
The Eagles’ defense played at a championship level for the second consecutive week, this time, suffocating the Lions’ offense at home.
EX-GIANTS STAR BRANDON JACOBS SENDS BLUNT WARNING TO JAXSON DART AFTER CONCUSSION: ‘LEARN HOW TO SLIDE’
Last week’s target was Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love. This week, it was Jared Goff. The Eagles’ defense made Goff as uncomfortable as they could and did just enough to damage the Lions’ touchdown hopes multiple times late in the game.
Detroit settled for a field goal before the 2-minute warning after disrupting another Goff pass attempt. The Lions turned the ball over on downs three times in the third quarter and punted twice in the fourth quarter. The Lions were 3-of-13 on third down and 0-for-5 on fourth down.
Goff was 14-of-37 with a touchdown pass to Jameson Williams and an interception to Cooper DeJean. Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean recorded sacks on Goff. Eagles defenders deflected 10 of Goff’s passes. Philadelphia’s Jordan Davis had three of the deflections.
The Eagles’ offense wasn’t great. But Hurts scored on a tush push when it mattered the most. He was 14-of-28 with 135 passing yards.
Amid a week of controversy, A.J. Brown led the team with seven catches on a team-high 11 targets for 49 yards.

Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs had five catches for 107 yards, leading the team. He also had 39 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Meghan Markle slammed for neutral Christmas line after royal color complaints
Meghan Markle is facing criticism over the latest drop from her “As Ever” collection.
On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex shared a video of herself on Instagram, placing a gift into a beige-and-brown stocking amid a backdrop of neutral-toned Christmas décor.
“Oh, we see you! Not even Thanksgiving yet, and you’ve already got this in the bag,” Markle captioned the post, in which she wore an olive-colored dress.
The muted aesthetic sparked conversation online, with some social media users noting the irony.
MEGHAN MARKLE’S ‘INAUTHENTIC’ ROYAL RULES CLAIM IS JUST ANOTHER ‘PITY PARTY’: EXPERT
Many pointed out Markle’s past comments about having to wear neutral tones as a working member of the royal family as a way to blend in.
“A color scheme be a beautiful thing, but a Christmas one based on the color brown is tricky as all get out! She and the artistic team missed the mark in a very big way w/this pretentious attempt at chicness,” one user wrote on X.
“She just can’t be honest and admit that she likes beige,” one user quipped. “And there is nothing wrong with that. The only problem is, she should just admit that she lied about having to wear the color while in the UK.”
“There she is, the woman finally free to wear bright colors!” another wrote.

In Netflix’s 2022 series, “Meghan & Harry,” Markle opened about the reasoning behind her wardrobe choices.
“Most of the time I was in the UK, I rarely wore color,” she said in the series. “To my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same color as Her Majesty if there’s a group event, but then you also shouldn’t be wearing the same color as one of the other more senior members of the family.”
PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN MARKLE ‘WRONG WINNERS’ OF HUMANITARIAN AWARD AMID ONGOING ROYAL TENSIONS: EXPERTS
“I wore a lot of muted tones, but it was also so I could just blend in,” she continued. “I’m not trying to stand out here. There was no version of me [that was] joining this family and trying not to do everything I could to fit in. I don’t want to embarrass the family.”
The backlash comes weeks after Markle and Prince Harry experienced a shake-up within their team.
Emily Robinson, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s director of communications, stepped down just four months after assuming the role, People magazine reported.
“Ms. Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of ‘With Love, Meghan’ and additional support for the production company,” a spokesperson from Archewell, which handles the offices for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, told Fox News Digital. “She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success.”

The sudden departure has reignited scrutiny of the Sussexes’ business empire in Hollywood, especially as Meghan, 44, attempts to brand herself as an entrepreneur.
“This most recent departure simply adds to the ongoing instability and brand confusion within the couple’s discombobulated operations,” British royals expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
“It’s a clear indication that Meghan Markle’s ambition to reshape her public image with a polished team is failing,” Fordwich claimed. “The optics are ghastly as it really enforces the negative image of chaotic brand control, at best, as well as Meghan’s dwindling influence.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously told Fox News Digital that about 20 people have left their roles working for the Sussexes. The couple stepped back as senior royals in 2020 and moved to California.
“There is growing evidence to support the rumors that Meghan Markle struggles to follow the direction of her advisors,” royal expert Kinsey Schofield of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered” told Fox News Digital.
“Former staff tell me that she appears receptive to advice, acts as if she will execute it in the way that it has been presented, and then does the complete opposite,” Schofield claims. “Meghan blames the media and public for misinterpreting or misunderstanding her. It’s an exhausting cycle, and for many who have worked with her, ultimately an unsustainable one.”

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton was the culprit for a penalty called on the team in the third quarter of their game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The down judge didn’t appear to see Payton when the two collided. He got back up and threw the flag on Payton. It didn’t appear that either man was hurt during the play.
The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty was one of two penalties called after McMillian intercepted Mahomes’ pass. Kansas City accepted an illegal blindside block penalty that was also called on Denver.
The Broncos didn’t appear to be bothered by the flag. Quarterback Bo Nix led the Broncos on an 11-play, 89-yard touchdown drive after the turnover. Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin ran for a 4-yard touchdown to take the lead.

‘Effortless escape’ crowned Europe’s most relaxing city, and it’s not Paris or Rome
Looking for a quick escape that feels like a break? According to LateRooms’ new Easy Breaks Index, the best stress-free city to visit right now may not even be on your radar.
The index compared 50 popular European cities by flight time, airport-transfer cost and duration, average hotel prices, and how travelers rated each city’s top attraction.
The former capital of Poland may not be the typical tourist destination – but with all of that considered, Kraków came out on top.
According to LateRooms, Kraków wins because it combines convenience and affordability without the chaos that usually comes with international travel.
OVERWEIGHT FOREIGNERS SEEKING VISAS MAY BE REJECTED TO SAVE HEALTHCARE COSTS, TAXPAYER EXPENSE
Once you land, the city’s small size makes arrival refreshingly easy. According to LateRooms, the airport train gets you to the center of the city in just 17 minutes, one of the fastest transfers in Europe. The stations connect directly by footbridge, meaning no expensive taxis, long lines or stressful navigation right after you land.
HOTELS, RESORTS ACCUSED OF CHARGING TOO MANY ‘FEES,’ SENDING FED-UP VACATIONERS OVERSEAS FOR CHEAPER DEALS
Once you’re there, Kraków is built for slowing down. The city’s travel site boasts that the entire town center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is walkable and framed by the green ring of Planty Park.
According to Poland’s national tourism office, most of the major sights are within a short walk of each other, making it one of Europe’s most compact cultural centers. That simplicity cuts out the mental friction that often sneaks into short trips with overstuffed itineraries from trying to do everything in a short time.
POPULAR TRAVEL DESTINATION TO CHARGE ‘TOURIST TAX’ UPWARDS OF $65 PER NIGHT
And it’s not just the ease of it all: according to Harvard Health, even a 20-minute stroll in a green space can significantly lower cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone.
Another recent review in PLOS One found that brief breaks researchers call “micro-vacations” help reduce fatigue and improve mood.
Kraków fits that formula perfectly with little fuss, plenty of greenery and easy access.
