Thunberg hit with fine and 48-hour banishment for ‘disrespectful act’ in Venice
Climate activist Greta Thunberg has been slapped with a 48-hour ban from entering Venice, Italy after joining Extinction Rebellion protesters in dyeing the Grand Canal bright green, according to reports.
The Swedish activist, 22, was also fined $172 along with roughly 35 other demonstrators involved in the action, per The Telegraph.
GRETA THUNBERG SLAMMED FOR USING IMAGE OF STARVED ISRAELI HOSTAGE TO SHOW PALESTINIANS SUFFERING IN GAZA
Extinction Rebellion said the dye used was a fluorescent, non-toxic tracer commonly employed in environmental studies, such as tracking water flows or monitoring leaks. The group reportedly insisted the dye posed no ecological threat.
The group also argued the stunt was designed to “draw attention to the massive effects of climate collapse,” and claimed that Venice is among Europe’s most vulnerable cities due to rising sea levels and increasingly frequent flooding.

Thunberg’s protest took place just as the COP30 United Nations climate conference ended in Brazil, with Extinction Rebellion coordinating actions in ten Italian cities.
These included dyeing fountains in Genoa and Padova and turning rivers green in Turin, Bologna and Taranto.

Veneto Province Gov. Luca Zaia said Thunberg and Extinction Rebellion’s stunt was “a gesture that risks having consequences for the environment.”
Zaia also criticized the action as “a disrespectful act towards our city, its history and its fragility.”
Extinction Rebellion had also criticized the Italian government under Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for resisting stronger climate measures at the Brazilian COP30 event.
Ruben Gallego tells military ‘there will be consequences’ over Mark Kelly investigation
Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., warned military members Monday that “there will be consequences” if they allowed Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., to be court-martialed.
Gallego reacted to the Department of War’s announcement earlier that day on X that it launched a formal review into allegations of misconduct against Kelly, a retired Navy captain, over his role in a controversial video urging service members to “refuse illegal orders” from President Donald Trump.
Gallego told CNN’s Kasie Hunt he has faith in the U.S. military and the justice system to handle the case properly, adding that officers know there would be fallout if they tried to “railroad” Kelly.
DEMOCRATIC SENATOR ‘NOT AWARE’ IF TRUMP GAVE ANY ILLEGAL MILITARY ORDERS AMID VIDEO CONTROVERSY
“Donald Trump is going to be gone in a couple of years,” Gallego said. “And if you’re part of the military that is going after sitting senators, sitting members of Congress, and part of the weaponization of government, there will be consequences, without a doubt.”
He added, “I think there’s going to be a lot of officers that will be part of this potential tribunal, if they want to call it that, that will be looking over their shoulders. Because they know that Donald Trump will be gone and they will not have that protection. They’re going to have to do the safest thing possible, which is follow the Constitution of the United States, and you’ll be fine.”
CNN PANEL REACHES BOILING POINT WITH DEBATE OVER VIDEO OF DEMS TELLING MILITARY TO IGNORE UNLAWFUL ORDERS
Gallego defended the video featuring Kelly and five other Democratic lawmakers, saying he has heard from military officers “concerned” about the president’s actions.
“Also, you‘re just seeing things that aren‘t very normal,” Gallego said. “You have the Marines who are walking around Los Angeles. You have National Guardsmen coming from different states into other states, even though those governors did not request that. You have a politicization of the military, that has never been seen before until this president has done it. And then, you also hear the president saying things that are, on its face, illegal.”
RETIRED GENERAL BLASTS DEMOCRATIC LAWMAKERS’ ‘IRRESPONSIBLE’ VIDEO URGING TROOPS TO REFUSE ‘ILLEGAL’ ORDERS
He also cited Trump’s recent strikes against Venezuela without offering Congress information, though he did not refer to them as “illegal.” Gallego reminded people that they did not have to follow “illegal orders.”

AG Bondi fires back after judge tosses cases against James Comey and NY’s Letitia James
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi demanded legal action Monday against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, speaking at an event in Memphis where she was highlighting the work of the city’s “Safe Task Force.”
Bondi’s comments came after U.S. District Judge Cameron Currie dismissed the criminal indictments against Comey and James, and ruled that the prosecutor who brought the cases, Lindsey Halligan, had not been lawfully appointed.
The judge agreed with Comey’s defense, which argued that Halligan’s appointment as interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid, meaning the indictments were defective.
COMEY AND JAMES CHALLENGE TRUMP APPOINTEE’S LEGITIMACY IN FEDERAL COURT HEARING
“We’ll be taking all available legal action, including an immediate appeal, to hold Letitia James and James Comey accountable for their unlawful conduct,” Bondi told reporters.
“I’m not worried about someone who has been charged with a very serious crime,” she continued. “His alleged actions were a betrayal of public trust,” Bondi added.
Comey was indicted in September 2025 on charges of making false statements to Congress and obstructing a congressional inquiry. This stemmed from his 2018 testimony about the origins of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
DOJ DEFENDS TRUMP TRUTH SOCIAL POST AS COMEY SEEKS TO HAVE CASE DISMISSED
This was the probe into possible ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.
Comey has denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that his statements were “truthful to the best of my recollection” and calling the case “a political hit job, not a pursuit of justice.”
Letitia James was separately indicted in October 2025 on mortgage and bank-fraud counts, accused of misrepresenting a Virginia home purchase as a secondary residence in 2020 to secure more favorable loan terms.
Prosecutors allege she benefited by nearly $19,000 over the life of the loan.
JAMES COMEY SEEKS TO DISMISS HIS CRIMINAL CASE, CITING ‘VINDICTIVE’ PROSECUTION
Defense teams for both Comey and James have argued that the prosecutions were flawed, citing procedural irregularities and Halligan’s disputed appointment.
Halligan, a former Trump legal aide, was the only federal prosecutor to sign Comey’s indictment, acting as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
On Monday in Memphis, Bondi acknowledged Halligan, defending her credentials and role.

“We have made Lindsay Halligan a special US attorney so she is in court, she can fight in court just like she was, and we believe we will be successful on appeal,” Bondi said.
“And I’ll tell you, Lindsay Halligan, I talked to all of our US attorneys, the majority of them around the country, and Lindsay Halligan is an excellent US attorney. And shame on them for not wanting her in office. Thank you,” she added.
Food Network star Guy Fieri ‘in wheelchair’ after muscle ‘exploded’ in accident
Guy Fieri was rushed to emergency surgery after missing a set of steps and tearing his quad muscle in half.
During an interview with Fox News Digital, the Food Network star explained that he is currently in a wheelchair and using crutches.
“[I] slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold. So, you know, it extended me out. I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself the giveaway point and the doctor said he’s never seen — you know, in 20 years — he hasn’t seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half. Yeah, it sucked,” Fieri said.
He explained that he was rushed to surgery after the fall to ensure his muscles didn’t “recede.”

“You normally tear that muscle at your tendon or the tendon tears off the bone, but this was right in the center of the whole quad muscle and it exploded,” Fieri said.

The chef explained that he was in the middle of filming his new show, “Flavor Town Food Fight,” when the fall and surgery happened.
“So, right in the middle of filming that and we’ve got everybody in town and all the chefs there and 125 people on set – and everybody’s ready to go – and I’m in surgery. So, we figured out how to pivot through it and to have some creative filming techniques. But it’s been a run, and now I’m up here at the ranch, where it’s always about hiking and outdoors, and you know, beautiful,” Fieri said, explaining that his injury has been a “damper.”

“Oh, it’s going to affect it because I’m on crutches and in a wheelchair. I mean, I have to stay off it and the whole thing. I can’t walk on it for eight weeks. So it was funny. My son, Ryder, texted me from school and he said, ‘Well, I guess all the training you’ve given me and all the cooking I’ve been doing while I was at school, it was going to be my time to shine.’ And I said, ‘I am so happy you’re asking me about this versus me telling you, you have to do it,'” Fieri said.
The professional chef plans on passing the torch to his two sons, Hunter and Ryder, and his nephew Jules, for this holiday.
“So, I got my three boys, Hunter, Ryder, and Jules, and they all know how to cook. And now it’s gonna be me quarterbacking from the wheelchair and telling them what to do. And we cook for about 40 people up here. So it’s going to be, it’s got to be an adventure,” Fieri said.

Fieri is in for a long recovery. After eight weeks of no weight on his leg, he will have to go into a cast and then rehab his quad.
“Eight weeks of no weight on it, crutches and a cast and then the rehab, which to me – I want to get after it as fast as possible. He’s like, ‘You know as much as you want to, get back to being Guy, you’re going to really have to go through [it].'”
“I haven’t busted anything. I mean I broke it all as a kid. I broke my leg, broke my knee, broke my wrist, broke my sternum, my ribs, my tailbone. I mean, you know, name it, I broke it. But I got done doing that s–t. You know, I got done with that type of behavior long ago,” Fieri said.

Cheerleader’s cause and manner of death on Carnival cruise revealed in new report
Anna Kepner’s mysterious death aboard a Carnival cruise ship was a homicide by “mechanical asphyxiation,” according to a new report.
The 18-year-old was found dead aboard the Carnival Horizon on Nov. 7, around 11:15 a.m.
“Mechanical asphyxia just means there is something external to the body that hinders her breathing — her chest or belly can’t expand,” said Dr. Priya Banerjee, a board-certified forensic pathologist.
CHEERLEADER’S CRUISE SHIP DEATH HAS FAMILY POINTING FINGERS
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.
The teen’s death was ruled a homicide, and she was “mechanically asphyxiated by other person(s)”, ABC News reported late Monday afternoon, citing a copy of Kepner’s death certificate reportedly supplied by her family.
Although her time of death is listed at 11:17 a.m. on Nov. 7, the report says she suffered her fatal injury on Nov. 6, the last night she was publicly seen alive.

Mechanical asphyxiation isn’t always a homicide, said Dr. Michael Baden, the former chief medical examiner of New York City, but it can be, and it remains up to prosecutors to decide how the case should be charged, if they file charges at all.
The FBI is handling the investigation and has not publicly named any suspects as of Monday evening, although Anna’s 16-year-old stepbrother has been identified as a potential “suspect” by his own parents in court filings amid an ongoing custody dispute. No charges have been filed.
Kepner was found dead under the bed in her cabin, wrapped in a blanket and covered in life jackets in a room she shared with the stepbrother.

Amid the search, Wise County Public Schools said an unidentified staff member was placed on administrative leave with pay, pending an internal investigation into external allegations.
“A staff member has been placed on administrative leave with pay while an external agency reviews an allegation that was reported to the division. This is standard procedure and is not a determination of wrongdoing. This situation also involves an active law-enforcement matter, and the division cannot comment further,” Wise County Public School Division Superintendent Dr. Mike Goforth said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
According to WCYB-TV, state police said troopers went to Turner’s residence near Appalachia, Virginia, Thursday evening to respond to a non-criminal complaint, but when they arrived, he was not there.
In a since deleted Facebook post, Turner’s wife, Leslie Turner, wrote that he was “missing and that’s all we know.”
Search efforts involving K-9 units, drones and ground crews have since been underway across Wise County.

Violent mob caught on video beating man, torching car during wild neighborhood takeover
A violent mob was caught on camera reportedly beating a New York City couple and setting a car on fire after several local residents tried to stop a rowdy street takeover in their neighborhood over the weekend.
The attack began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, after a group of drivers were seen speeding across residential lawns and doing donuts on the corner of South Drive and 141st Street in Malba, a neighborhood located in Queens, the New York Post reported.
A private security guard first attempted to defuse the situation, but was subsequently assaulted by the mob and had his vehicle set on fire, according to City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who represents the neighborhood.
Larry Rusch, who owns a security company, reportedly heard the drivers performing stunts in the street. When he rushed outside to see what was causing the commotion, he was met by about 40 cars in the street, The Post reported.

Rusch reportedly attempted to park a company car in the intersection to try to block the drivers from causing more damage.
“As soon as I did that, everyone started leaving,” Rusch told The Post. “Then two individuals go up to the car. Somehow they threw some kind of firework or something and lit the car up. Then melee started again.”
Another local resident was also assaulted, according to the report.

“When I came out, I said, ‘Bro, you gotta get the f— off my property,’” victim Blake Ferrer told The Post. “And that’s when it all started.”
The incident quickly devolved into chaos, with video showing the group allegedly attacking Ferrer and his wife, reportedly leaving the Queens man with a broken nose and ribs. Additional footage shows a vehicle on fire as another car circles it.
Paladino took to social media to express her concern regarding the incident, adding that Ferrer was “lucky he wasn’t killed.”

Paladino also blasted local law enforcement’s response to the melee, revealing that residents who called 911 to report the incident were told that a “quality of life team and 311 should handle the situation.”
“Unacceptable. In fact, these violent street takeovers should be met with maximum force by the police department,” Paladino added.
However, the NYPD said in a statement to Fox News Digital that while the initial responding officer was rerouted to a more serious call, once authorities received word that the incident had been upgraded to a higher priority call, an officer was quickly dispatched to the scene.
“The [precinct] covers a large geographical area, and this was a busy Saturday night,” a spokesperson for the NYPD said in a statement. “At the time of the incident in question, other units from the [precinct] were handling multiple priority jobs, including an arrest for an individual who was driving while intoxicated, transporting someone to the hospital, an assault, and a vehicle collision with injuries.”
A third resident also reportedly had objects thrown into his car when he attempted to stop the drivers from continuing the chaos, according to The Post.
Additionally, Paladino blasted the lack of accountability within the city regarding similar instances of street takeovers, adding, “These incidents are happening citywide, and they’re happening because there are no longer any real consequences to this kind of criminality.”

The councilwoman then pointed to several armed residents “who exercised extreme restraint,” adding that the “level of restraint is not guaranteed. If the city refuses to do what’s necessary, the people might.”
‘Full House’ star Jodie Sweetin’s blackout at co-star’s wedding kickstarted addiction
After years of being open about her addiction struggles, Jodie Sweetin is shedding light on the first time she blacked out at 14 years old.
During an episode of “The Skinny Confidential” podcast, the 43-year-old “Full House” alum recounted an “embarrassing” incident at co-star and friend Candace Cameron Bure’s 1996 wedding — a moment she described as the point when her addiction took control.
“Well, the first time I ever drank, I was like 14 and it was at Candace’s wedding, and I was just a blackout drinker,” she said. “The last thing I remember doing is somewhere around the ‘M’ of the ‘YMCA’ and then I don’t remember anything from the rest of the night. It was awful, and it was ugly, and it was embarrassing. My mother was horrified.”
“I was at the table, and I was drinking, and — I was across the room from my mom. So they would pour a glass of wine… and then they’d get around to pouring more, and I was like, “I’ll take a little more, please.’ It was a lot of red wine and the bathroom was very white.”

Sweetin admitted that while she was “horrified” the next day, something clicked.
“I was like, ‘Oh, that was fun,'” she said. “I’d say around 15, 16, I knew that I drank and partied in a way that my friends did not, and they were like, ‘What, bro? Settle down.’”
“I would be like, ‘OK, well, now I’ve got to go find somebody that I can do these drugs with.’ Or, you know, it was like finding different people that didn’t make you feel so bad about what you were doing,” she added.

Once “Full House” wrapped, Sweetin said she went through an identity crisis.
“I was all over the place. I think that’s why I found stimulants. I would be more sober than anyone else in the room. I was looking for a way to make my brain work better.”
As her addiction continued, the mom-of-two said she knew she was headed down a dangerous path.

“I knew for a very long time that I was heading down a road where it was either going to be jail, institutions or death,” she said. “I was getting very close. I did not think I would see my 30th birthday the way I was going in my mid-20s …life changed. I got married again and quickly found out I was pregnant and was like, ‘Okay this is what we’re doing.'”
“I haven’t had a perfect journey, but that was the thing that changed everything,” she said of her first pregnancy. “Like party time is done.”

Sweetin found sobriety in 2008 after 15 years of abusing drugs and alcohol.
In 2021, the actress and comedian opened up further about her addiction and the importance of de-stigmatizing the topic.
“The thing about anxiety is, people think of panic attacks, but there can be a raging screaming voice in your head all the time that you just can’t get quiet,” the actress told Allison Kugel during an episode of the “Allison Interviews” podcast. “You just don’t want to listen to this voice, and especially when mental health wasn’t talked about, it’s worse.”
“Having that wiring in your brain, something switches on when you’re an alcoholic,” the mom of two continued. “It feels like there is never enough. I can’t ever fill this hole because there is a bottom missing in the cup, and I just keep trying to fill it. I think that is something I’m really grateful for now, is the de-stigmatization of talking about mental health. That was my whole journey through sobriety.”
Sweetin noted that she was determined to turn her life around. Sobriety is not a simple fix, but rather an ongoing work in progress.

“A lot of it is really looking at yourself and what are the things that I do, or behaviors that I’m trying to use to cope with my life?” said Sweetin. “How do I do this better? How do I interact with people better? How do I hold myself to a higher standard? How do I go back and make some of those things right so that I can alleviate that shame and terror that comes with all of it? Then, how do I go about life, not creating those situations for myself in the future? That is a huge part of it.”
“I’m always very honest that, for me, medication has been key,” Sweetin shared. “Otherwise my struggle was so bad I wasn’t getting out of bed. Now that I know when I need to speak up for myself, even into my 30s, feeling like I needed some therapy and I probably need a psychiatrist for some meds, and all of these things to start taking care of myself.”
Homeowners could see major change to insurance premiums over the next two years
Homeowners could see insurance premiums jump another 16% over the next two years due to an uptick in natural disasters and rebuilding costs.
The average homeowner insurance premium is expected to rise 8% in 2026, followed by another 8% in 2027, real estate analytics firm Cotality projected at an annual real estate conference.
Cotality’s chief data and analytics officer, John Rogers, explained that these premiums have been “rising dramatically” over the last few years, with some areas seeing double-digit growth.
HOUSING AFFORDABILITY CRISIS HAMMERING RURAL AMERICA
Rogers said that insurance now accounts for 9% of the typical U.S. homeowner’s payment, which is the “highest average on record of a person’s outlay in terms of principal, interest, property tax, and insurance premiums.”
Danielle Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com, told FOX Business that the higher cost of rebuilding, a reflection of both overall inflation and some housing supply-chain specific trends, is driving these premiums higher.
Hale also said that “more frequent disasters have resulted in more damage and increasing claims, trends insurers are trying to get ahead of.”
MORE THAN HALF OF US HOMES LOST VALUE OVER THE LAST YEAR
Realtor.com research revealed that a “significant chunk of the U.S. housing stock” actually faces severe or extreme climate risk, ranging from more than 6% for flooding, 18% for wind risk, and 6% for wildfire, according to Hale.
Trillions of dollars worth of real estate are exposed to significant risk, Hale said.
In the September report, Realtor.com noted that coastal markets dominate the list of metro areas with the highest dollar value of homes exposed to severe or extreme flood risk, though the Miami–Fort Lauderdale–West Palm Beach, Florida, market ranks first.
About $306.8 billion in total home value is at risk, representing 23.2% of the area’s total housing value.
WHY ARE MORTGAGE RATES INCREASING DESPITE A RATE CUT FROM THE FED?
This uptick in cost could further hinder buyers in an already stagnant housing market. Many have been pushed to the sidelines by a persistent affordability crisis, as high interest rates and rising housing costs have made it difficult for people to move.
An unexpected increase in the cost of homeowners insurance can catch existing homeowners off guard and can also discourage potential buyers who are trying to estimate their monthly housing expenses,” says

Hannah Jones, senior economic research analyst at Realtor.com, said in a recent report that this rise in premiums could discourage potential buyers who are trying to estimate their monthly housing expenses.
“In both cases, climbing insurance costs can contribute to weaker buyer demand and more fragile housing stability in already vulnerable markets,” Jones said.
