Wife of anti-ICE ‘agitator’ said shooting was ‘my fault’ in video

MINNEAPOLIS – Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has characterized the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis woman by federal agents as an “act of domestic terrorism,” alleging the driver had been “stalking, impeding, and blocking” ICE officers for hours leading up to the incident.

Video from the scene shows Renee Good’s wife, Rebecca Brown Good, in distress immediately after the shooting, saying that she encouraged Renee to attend the location where ICE agents were operating.

In the video, taken by BIGSLEEZ YUP, she can be heard saying, “I made her come down here. It’s my fault.”

JEFFRIES CALLS NOEM ‘STONE-COLD LIAR’ OVER MINNEAPOLIS SHOOTING RESPONSE, DEMAND INVESTIGATIONS

While Noem and President Donald Trump have framed Good as a “professional agitator” intent on harming agents, family members are disputing that characterization.

Renee Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that Renee “would never have been part of anything like that” and described her as compassionate and non-confrontational.

Renee Good had ties to an organized anti-ICE network in Minneapolis that trains participants to monitor and interfere with federal immigration enforcement operations, the New York Post reported.

According to the Post, Good became involved with a group known as “ICE Watch,” a loose coalition dedicated to documenting and disrupting ICE activity in the sanctuary city.

Similar ICE Watch-style networks have emerged nationwide and have previously been linked to confrontations with federal agents, including incidents involving vehicles used to block or strike officers.

The Post reported that Good became connected to the group through her son’s charter school, Southside Family Charter School, which publicly promotes a “social justice” curriculum and involvement in political activism. Multiple sources told the outlet that Good received training on how to engage with ICE officers during enforcement actions.

A woman identified as Leesa told the Post at a vigil held at the shooting site that Good was a “warrior.”

“She was trained against these ICE agents,” Leesa said. “To listen to commands, to know your rights, to whistle when you see an ICE agent.”

Another vigil attendee told the Post that Good was part of a coordinated “ICE Watch” team and that members routinely spent time together outside of enforcement actions.

Southside Family Charter School’s website states that it offers “an academically challenging, socially conscious education” and describes its curriculum as centered on social justice.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the school.

VANCE DEMAND DEMOCRATS ANSWER WHETHER ICE OFFICER IN MINNEAPOLIS SHOOTING WAS ‘WRONG IN DEFENDING HIS LIFE’

The shooting occurred after a vehicle driven by Good allegedly moved toward agents, leading to what DHS describes as a shooting in “self-defense.”

Video circulating online shows an ICE officer approaching the stopped SUV and attempting to open the driver’s door before the vehicle moves forward. Another officer standing in front of the vehicle then fires multiple shots at close range.

First Alert 4 in St. Louis confirmed with the Missouri Department of Revenue that the Missouri license plate on the red Honda Pilot driven by Renee Good at the time of the incident was registered to two people in Kansas City.

Former neighbors told local media outlets that the couple relocated multiple times over the past year, including a reported move to Canada following the 2024 presidential election, before later settling in Minneapolis.

Renee Nicole Macklin Good was previously married to Timothy Macklin Jr., a comedian who died in May 2023, according to an obituary reviewed by Fox News Digital.

Before the fatal encounter, the couple managed B. Good Handywork LLC, a household repair business incorporated in early 2024.

According to Missouri business filings, B. Good Handywork LLC was formally incorporated by Rebecca Brown Good in 2024. Corporate records list both Rebecca Brown Good and Renee Nicole Macklin Good as managers of the company.

The business was registered to a residential address in Kansas City, Missouri, where the couple previously lived, writing that the purpose of the small business was to “perform interior and exterior repair, maintenances, and upgrade projects in clients’ homes.”

According to court records obtained by WDAF, Renee filed a name change petition at the Jackson County Courthouse in Missouri roughly five months after Macklin’s death, writing that she wished to add “Good” to her last name to “share a name with my partner.”

The filing also noted that she was the mother of three children under the age of 18, including one child she shared with Macklin.

‘Unthinkable’ report on CCP-linked property near US base sparks alarm from experts

National security experts are sounding the alarm over a report that the Chinese Communist Party’s reach inside the United States could include two golf courses located right on the doorstep of one of the country’s most critical military bases.

News this week that a Chinese intelligence officer is the owner of two golf courses on both sides of Louisiana’s Barksdale Air Force Base, which controls aspects of the U.S. nuclear trial, raised concerns from several China experts who spoke to Fox News Digital. The Daily Caller was the first to report the story.

Josh Hodges, U.S. commissioner for the U.S.–China Economic and Security Review Commission, told Fox News Digital the case underscores longstanding vulnerabilities the federal government has failed to address.

“This investigation is yet another wake-up call,” Hodges said. “The CCP operates by buying proximity, embedding influence and exploiting blind spots near our most sensitive military installations, while simultaneously embedding in critical infrastructure like America’s power grid.

HOUSE GOP LAUNCHES BLITZ OF BILLS TO SHUT DOWN CCP INFILTRATION OF US SCHOOLS: ‘COMMONSENSE’

“The USCC’s November 2025 report identified these types of risks clearly, including the persistent threat from operations like Volt Typhoon pre-positioning assets for potential sabotage. It is long past due for the U.S. to revamp our counterintelligence efforts and take steps to address these vulnerabilities within our borders.”

The report states that the golf courses are owned by Eugene Ji, a Chinese-American businessman who has held multiple positions in the Chinese government, adding they were bought with the purpose of a “networking opportunity for Chinese and American business people.”

Ji has served as an official with the United Front Work Department (UFWD), an arm of the Chinese Communist Party that helps coordinate information campaigns that Republicans in Congress have worked to sanction, calling it a “disinformation network.”

Michael Lucci, founder and CEO of State Armor, told Fox News Digital that Louisiana is one of the top states when it comes to combating possible malign influence from the CCP but that more needs to be done to ensure sensitive military installations aren’t compromised.

NEW STUDY EXPOSES GREEN ENERGY ORG’S TIES TO CCP INTERESTS WHILE UNDERMINING US

“Louisiana state lawmakers are national leaders in countering Communist China, and today’s blockbuster investigation makes crystal clear that their mission-critical work must continue,” Lucci said.

“A Chinese intelligence official with huge property purchases next to Barksdale Air Force Base is proof positive that Chinese land acquisitions are strategic and malicious. This is no coincidence. It reflects a deliberate CCP strategy to pre-position near America’s most sensitive military and critical infrastructure assets to exploit for intelligence today and sabotage in the event of a future conflict.”

Lucci warned that failure to act decisively could leave the U.S. exposed during a future confrontation with China.

“States must act quickly, and Louisiana must continue to lead, by not only banning Communist China from owning assets near military installations and critical infrastructure, but also by ejecting blatant security threats that threaten national security.”

Former Trump administration official Joe Grogan, co-founder and president of Public Policy Solutions, told Fox News Digital the issue should not be confused with free market investment.

“It is unthinkable that agents of communist China could be allowed to take possession of property so close to one of our nation’s most vital strategic assets,” Grogan said. “We can’t confuse this insidious incursion with free enterprise. Make no mistake, land purchases by Chinese nationals near our military infrastructure present a clear and present danger.”

Grogan called for stronger coordination between Washington and state governments to close gaps that hostile foreign actors can exploit.

“The need for greater cooperation between federal and state agencies to confront threats like these could not be more clear,” he said.

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Bowen Yang agreed with fellow podcast host Matt Rogers that it would be a “waste” of money to support Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, and her Senate campaign.

On the pair’s “Las Culturistas” podcast Wednesday, Rogers began a 60-second segment where he would “rant, rail, rave” and “hopefully change hearts and minds” about cultural topics.

During his minute, he criticized Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, calling out what he saw as self-centered politicians, including Crockett.

“Anytime a politician is making it too obviously about themselves, I’m already done,” Rogers said. “And don’t waste your money sending to Jasmine Crockett. Do not do it.”

“I must agree,” Yang responded.

“Don’t do it. Don’t. You’re going to waste your money. Take it from someone who sent Sara Gideon a ton of money in Maine. Just don’t do it. Don’t waste your money. Don’t do it,” Rogers added.

“It’s hard enough to come by,” Yang said.

Rogers clarified that he meant nothing against Crockett but said she was too “well-defined” as a politician to win a statewide or national election.

“She’s not going to win a Senate seat in Texas, you guys,” Rogers said. “Like, if Beto O’Rourke couldn’t do it, Jasmine Crockett is not going to do it.”

JASMINE CROCKETT SAYS ‘F— YOU’ TO THE SUPREME COURT OVER TEXAS REDISTRICTING DECISION

Fox News Digital reached out to Crockett’s office for a comment.

During the podcast, the two also discussed their past support for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, which Yang said he regrets.

“This is another thing about early days ‘Las Culturistas’ that I regret is being a Hillary stan,” Yang said.

“I don’t regret it because I think we were trying really hard to just win,” Rogers said.

“I know. But I feel so silly,” Yang said.

Rogers also expressed frustration with Newsom, saying the California governor has no chance of winning a presidential election.

“The No. 1 actionable thing that Gavin Newsom can do right now is text Savannah Guthrie and get whoever just did her vocal surgery. She just had the polyp surgery. You’re going to need to be silent for about six weeks afterwards. But don’t worry, you can still tweet. You can still dunk on Trump, which is apparently something that people still think is going to win,” Rogers said.

The Trump administration is considering paying each Greenland resident thousands of dollars as part of a bid to encourage the territory to secede from Denmark and join the United States, according to Reuters.

U.S. officials, including White House aides, have discussed payment figures ranging from $10,000 to $100,000, the outlet reported, citing sources.

For an island with a population of roughly 57,000, the total cost could range from more than half a billion dollars to nearly $6 billion.

While discussions of a lump-sum payment are not new, Reuters reported that officials have become more serious in recent days and are considering higher amounts.

NOEM ANNOUNCES ARCTIC DEFENSE PACT WITH CANADA, FINLAND TO COUNTER RIVAL POWERS

The White House referred Fox News Digital on Thursday to remarks by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who said during a Wednesday briefing that buying Greenland would benefit U.S. national security.

“The acquisition of Greenland by the United States is not a new idea,” Leavitt said.

“The president has been very open and clear with all of you and the world that he views it as in the best interest of the United States to deter Russian and Chinese aggression in the Arctic region,” she said. “That’s why his team is currently talking about what a potential purchase would look like.”

TRUMP TAPS REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR TO SERVE AS SPECIAL ENVOY TO GREENLAND

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that he plans to meet with his Danish counterpart next week to discuss Greenland.

Trump has long contended that the U.S. should acquire Greenland, arguing that its mineral resources are vital in advancing U.S. military technologies and that the Western Hemisphere should broadly fall under Washington’s geopolitical influence.

On Sunday, Trump told reporters Greenland is surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships and that Denmark, which governs Greenland, lacks the capability to provide the level of defense and oversight that meets U.S. national security standards.

FROM CARACAS TO NUUK: MADURO RAID SPARKS FRESH TRUMP PUSH ON GREENLAND

“It’s so strategic,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One. “We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it.”

Authorities in Greenland and Denmark insist that Greenland is not for sale, and European leaders have criticized the proposal, arguing that it undermines trust between the U.S. and Denmark as NATO allies. Under the NATO defense agreement, allies are obliged to support one another militarily if attacked, making the idea of a sale particularly sensitive.

“This is enough,” Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen wrote in a Facebook post on Sunday, responding to Trump’s Sunday remarks about acquiring the island. “No more pressure. No more hints. No more fantasies about annexation.”

On Tuesday, Nielsen added that Greenland will remain part of Denmark despite U.S. efforts.

“Our country isn’t something you can deny or take over because you want to,” he added. “Once again, I urge the United States to seek respectful dialogue through the correct diplomatic and political channels and utilizing pre-existing forums that are based on agreements already in place with the United States. The dialogue must take place with respect to the fact that Greenland’s status is rooted in international law and the principle of territorial integrity.”

Protesters torch government buildings as Iran cuts internet during deadly uprising

Iran has been plunged into a nationwide internet blackout as anti-regime protests intensify, severely restricting communication across the country as demonstrations enter their second week and the death toll reaches 44, according to reports.

Live network data from NetBlocks showed internet traffic collapsing in the troubled nation on Thursday evening, shortly after calls circulated for mass protests at 8 p.m. local time.

Before news of the latest killings came in, President Donald Trump, in an interview with Hugh Hewitt on Thursday, once again warned the regime if it starts killing people, “they will be hit very hard.”

Asked by Hewitt if he had a message for the Iranian people, Trump said, “You should feel strongly about freedom. There’s nothing like freedom. You’re brave people.”

PROTESTS SPREAD ACROSS IRAN AS REGIME THREATENS US FORCES AS ‘LEGITIMATE TARGETS’ AFTER TRUMP WARNING

The State Department’s Persian feed on X also restated Trump’s warning from his interview with Hugh Hewitt about the regime in Farsi.

Ali Safavi, a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), told Fox News Digital the internet shutdown began earlier in the day.

“Around 1 p.m. local time, the internet traffic dropped,” he said, adding there were widespread reports “that the regime had cut off the internet.”

NetBlocks said the outage followed “a series of escalating digital censorship measures targeting protests across the country,” while The Associated Press reported that telephone lines were also cut in parts of Iran.

Safavi said the blackout coincided with violent confrontations in several regions.

“The internet was cut off in Lordegan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces as battles erupted,” he said.

He also pointed to unrest in Isfahan, Iran’s third-largest city with around 2.3 million residents, saying, “State radio and the TV station were set on fire by rebellious youth.”

As the communications blackout deepened, the confirmed death toll from the unrest rose sharply.

The NCRI reported Thursday that at least 44 protesters had been killed by Iranian security forces since the uprising began.

IRAN’S KHAMENEI LASHES OUT AT PROTESTERS AS NATIONWIDE ANTI-REGIME UNREST GROWS

The group announced the names of 13 additional victims that day, describing them as “martyrs” of the nationwide uprising.

Seven of those newly identified were from Lordegan, including a woman and two teenagers.

According to the NCRI, the victims were killed by the Revolutionary Guard and other security forces using live ammunition.

The protests were sparked in December by the collapse of Iran’s currency and soaring inflation, but they have since evolved into a broader movement demanding the overthrow of the Islamic Republic.

The unrest entered its 12th day with general strikes spreading across major commercial centers and street clashes intensifying, particularly in western Iran.

Safavi described the scale of the demonstrations as unprecedented.

“Millions of Iranians from north to south and east to west have been out in the streets until nighttime,” he said.

“Over the past 12 days, more young people have laid down their lives to free Iran.”

In a statement shared on X, Reza Pahlavi wrote, “Millions of Iranians demanded their freedom tonight. In response, the regime in Iran has cut all lines of communication. It has shut down the Internet. It has cut landlines. It may even attempt to jam satellite signals.”

In Lordegan, security forces had reportedly killed eight protesters in a single day, while clashes also left a regime colonel and two Basij members dead.

Elsewhere, protesters torched government buildings in cities, including Lumar in Ilam province. Safavi said symbols of the state have been targeted nationwide.

“Statues have been destroyed and set on fire,” Safavi said, noting “the day before, buses were set alight in Mashhad and another torched.”

Footage circulating online and cited by Reuters showed protesters in Mashhad ripping an Iranian flag in half amid chants against the leadership.

Progressive lawmaker removes America’s Founders from Capitol hallway display

A Nebraska state senator caught on video removing portraits of America’s Founders from a hallway in the state Capitol is defending her actions.

Democratic State Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh was shown on Capitol security footage taking down portraits from an exhibit celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. The exhibit was provided by conservative nonprofit PragerU and included images of signers of the Declaration of Independence and prominent women in American history, according to Gov. Jim Pillen, who criticized the lawmaker’s actions.

“Celebrating America during our 250th year should be a moment of unity and patriotism, not divisiveness and destructive partisanship,” Pillen wrote in a post on X. “I am disappointed in this shameful and selfish bad example.”

Cavanaugh told KETV7 Omaha that she removed the portraits because she believed they violated the rules and regulations of the State Capitol and did not believe they had been approved. She cited Rule 4.07, which limits displays to the first-floor rotunda for a one-week period in most cases and prohibits leafleting within the state Capitol or on its grounds.

WISCONSIN STUDENT SAID TEACHER PRESSURED HER TO PUBLICLY IDENTIFY POLITICAL PARTY DESPITE SAFETY FEARS

“I don’t even know what the pictures were. I wasn’t really paying attention as I was taking them down. I just took them down,” Cavanaugh said, denying her actions were political. “I will say that I know that the picture that he tweeted is not one of the ones that I took down, because I saw it in a different hallway.”

The progressive lawmaker later told the Lincoln Journal Star that she tried not to damage the artwork and contacted the Nebraska State Patrol to let them know where the portraits could be found, according to the Nebraska Examiner.

The portraits were returned by 3 p.m. Wednesday, the report said.

The State Patrol said Wednesday night that no citation was issued, and no “apparent damage” was done to the art, according to the report, and returned the posters to the Capitol Commission.

Prager University CEO Marissa Streit told Fox News Digital, “America’s 250th year should be an opportunity for all of us to rediscover our shared history and to reengage our shared principles. As for PragerU, we’re focused on uniting the country around the shared values back up on display in the Nebraska State Capitol.”

550-pound bear finally ousted from home after vegetable oil strategy trumps failures

A 550-pound bear that had been living beneath a California man’s home for over a month has finally left, after a bizarre strategy ended a long streak of failed removal attempts by state officials.

The male black bear was reportedly removed from the crawl space Tuesday after bear-removal experts from Tahoe traveled to the Altadena home. One team member crawled inside and fired paintballs filled with vegetable oil, wildlife organization BEAR League told Fox News Digital on Thursday.

According to surveillance video, the large bear has been wedging itself in and out of a small crawl space beneath Ken Johnson’s house since late November. Johnson said that the animal caused extensive damage to his home, costing tens of thousands of dollars. It also created a dangerous, unlivable situation involving structural and gas line issues.

“Right after surviving the Eaton fire, I lost my job, and shortly after that the bear began tearing into the structure of my home,” Johnson said in a GoFundMe page. “I have video footage of it twisting gas pipes, which created an extremely dangerous situation and forced me to shut off my utilities just to stay safe.”

BEAR REMAINS UNDER CALIFORNIA HOME AFTER WEEKS OF FAILED REMOVAL ATTEMPTS

The bear eviction finally took place after Johnson contacted BEAR League, an organization that specializes in bear removal emergencies in Lake Tahoe, located seven hours north of Altadena.

BEAR League told Fox News Digital on Thursday that the organization was “pleased to have helped Ken Johnson with this bear.”

“A Southern California homeowner had a large male bear living under his house for more than a month before reaching out to the BEAR League for help,” the organization added in a post on Facebook on Thursday.

BEAR League told Fox News Digital that the league used paintballs filled with vegetable oil that hit the bear in the backside. The wildlife rescue group reportedly finished the job in less than 20 minutes.

WILD BEAR MAKES ‘VERY POLITE’ SURPRISE VISIT TO CALIFORNIA ZOO BEFORE RETURNING TO FOREST

“After earlier removal attempts by state wildlife officials were unsuccessful, BEAR League first responders Scott and Dave traveled to the Los Angeles area to assist,” the organization added. “Scott, one of our most experienced responders, crawled beneath the home—fully aware the bear was still there—to get behind him and encourage him to exit through the crawl space opening.”

To prevent the bear from denning in the crawl space again, the organization said it “loaned electric unwelcome mats to give the homeowner time to make repairs and secure the crawl space to prevent another visit.”

According to social media footage posted by the organization, the mat worked just as designed, and the bear scurried away when it returned.

BEAR League emphasized that residents should be cautious about having open crawl spaces, noting that properly securing them helps people coexist safely with wildlife.

“We remind those who live in bear country that a poorly-secured crawl space is an open invitation for a winter visitor like this bear,” the league said to Fox News Digital. “BEAR League responds multiple times per day at this time of year to evict bears from under homes in the Lake Tahoe region, and we’ve done so for 30 years without cost to the homeowner.  We work hard to educate people who share space with the bears that if humans take some very simple steps, they can live in harmony with the bears.”

Tuesday’s success ended a long streak of failed eviction attempts by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, which had been trying to remove the bear for over a month. At one point, a trap even caught the wrong bear. Efforts that included bait, noisemakers and even a trap that caught the wrong bear all failed.

U.S. Winter Olympics star snowboarder Chloe Kim’s hopes for a gold medal three-peat are in serious doubt after she suffered a surprising shoulder injury.

Kim said Thursday that she took “the silliest fall” in training, which caused her to dislocate her shoulder, threatening her chance to win a third straight gold medal at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in February.

Kim posted video of the accident in Laax, Switzerland, earlier this week as she practiced for a key Olympic tune-up there next weekend. The footage shows Kim tumbling hard onto the snow and sliding across the halfpipe.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM

Kim did not specify which shoulder she hurt but said she was “trying to stay optimistic” despite having little clarity about her recovery timeline. The 25-year-old said she has an MRI scheduled for Friday that will reveal the extent of the damage.

“The positive thing is, I have range, I’m not in that much pain, I just don’t want it to keep popping out, which has happened,” she said. “I’m just trying to stay really optimistic. I feel really good about where my snowboarding is at right now, so I know the minute I get cleared and I’m good to go, I should be fine.”

Kim’s absence would deprive the Winter Games of one of its biggest names and one of its best storylines.

She is trying to become the first action-sports athlete to win three straight gold medals. Shaun White took three halfpipe golds, but they were spread out over five games.

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST CHLOE KIM GUSHES OVER BOYFRIEND MYLES GARRETT AFTER SETTING NFL RECORD: ‘PROUD OF YOU’

Kim was the breakout star of the 2018 Olympics, a bubbly teenager taking gold in her parents’ home country of South Korea. Four years ago in China, she won again, with that victory punctuated by her messages about the ups and downs of success and fame.

Through it all, nobody has come close to beating her.

Two years ago at the Winter X Games, Kim became the first woman to pull off a 1260-degree spin in competition. Before that, she was the first woman to land a double-cork 1080 — two flips and one spin — and the first to land back-to-back 1080s.

She was working on adding to that repertoire for the Milan Cortina Games and, if healthy, would be the heavy favorite to win again. This injury throws all that into question. The Olympic qualifying round in women’s halfpipe is Feb. 11.

The Laax Open is scheduled for next weekend, and even if Kim were to get a clean bill of health, there is a chance she would head into the Olympics without having competed in the final of a contest this season.

Kim qualified for the U.S. team by winning a contest last year and has kept a light schedule in ’25-26. She fell during warmups for the final in Copper Mountain, Colorado, last month and pulled out after hurting her shoulder then, as well. That injury was not believed serious.

Regarding her latest shoulder injury, she said: “It should be fine. I’m just hoping that it doesn’t take too long, but I’m going to be chilling for the next little while.”
