Did former President Barack Obama finally answer one of the world’s biggest mysteries?

During an appearance Saturday on Brian Tyler Cohen’s podcast, the former commander in chief was asked directly if aliens were real.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” Obama answered.

The 44th president also said aliens were not being kept at the Nevada Air Force base known as Area 51.

“There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States,” Obama continued.

Cohen then asked what Obama’s first question was after becoming president — and it again involved aliens.

“Uh, where are the aliens?” he joked.

Saturday’s interview was not the first time Obama talked about the possible existence of extraterrestrial life.

During a 2021 appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” Obama said that after taking office, he sought information on aliens and whether they were being studied in a secret lab. He was told the answer was “no.”

But Obama did note that officials are seriously investigating aircraft that behave in seemingly unexplainable ways.

“There is footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are,” he said. “We can’t explain how they moved, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. I think people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy later asked President Joe Biden about Obama’s comments, referring to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

“What do you think that it is?”

Biden replied, “I would ask (Obama) again.”

UAPs have gained attention in recent years, including from the federal government.

Congress passed the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act in 2023 and the Department of War has also created the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office.

Latest twist in Canada-Sweden curling controversy is shaking the sports world

Canada’s curling team has fired back at Sweden after the Swedes accused the Canadians of cheating at the Winter Olympics

After Sweden accused Canada of double-touching stones on Friday, igniting a global controversy, Canadian curler Marc Kennedy leveled allegations against the Swedes of improperly filming his delivery.

“They have come up with a plan here at the Olympics, as far as I know, to catch teams in the act at the hog line,” Kennedy told reporters, per the National Post.

“This was planned, right from the word go yesterday. From the words that were being said by their coaches and the way they were running to the officials, it was kind of evident that something was going on, and they were trying to catch us in an act.

“I know we’re not the only team that they’ve done that to,” Kennedy added. “So, I think this was — I don’t know what the word is for that — but like a premeditated plan to try to catch us.”

Curling Canada CEO Nolan Thiessen told reporters he thinks video was shot outside of the strict rules for Olympic filming.

“I was surprised that there was a live video on the hog line outside of OBS rules,” Thiessen said. “That seems odd to me.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Sweden’s curling team for comment.

According to the National Post, Team Sweden denied any inappropriate filming, claiming the video came from the Swedish public broadcaster.

Sweden’s Niklas Edin said “absolutely not” when asked about the allegations from Team Canada.

“We’ve been saying this for maybe seven, eight years or something,” he said of the hog line issue. “The media crew decided to place the camera on the hog line to see what was happening, to explain it to the people watching.

“It was Swedish media, the people covering the game that did that, we were told, at least. I have no idea, but that’s what we were told afterwards.”

The Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) released a statement saying it did not produce the video that appears to show Canada curlers double-touching stones after releasing them at the hog line that has circulated across social media.

The OBS added, “However, to clarify the general framework, OBS as well as any properly accredited media rights holder that has acquired broadcast rights from the International Olympic Committee is permitted to film within Olympic venues.”

The feud came to a boiling point during Friday’s match when Kennedy and Sweden’s Oskar Eriksson got into it after Eriksson accused Kennedy of double-touching.

Kennedy shouted at Eriksson, “I haven’t done it once. You can f— off.”

Eriksson replied, “I’ll show you a video after the game. I’ll show you a video where it’s two meters over the hog line.”

Both sides appealed to the officials, but no results were changed.

Swiss curlers have made similar comments about Canada. Swiss curler Pablo Lachat-Couchepin was captured on a broadcast talking to his coach during a fifth-end break in which he mentioned he witnessed double-touching.

WORLD CURLING FINDS NO VIOLATIONS AFTER CHEATING ALLEGATIONS ROCK CANADA-SWEDEN CURLING MATCH

“I don’t want to focus too much on it, but he double-touched, and the referee saw it,” he said, according to The Toronto Star. It was unclear if those concerns were raised to officials.

The controversy even bled onto the women’s side on Saturday.

Canadian curler Rachel Homan had her stone removed after an official ruled she had touched it again after releasing the handle. Homan protested, but, according to World Curling’s rules, there are no official replays, and the official’s final call stands.

According to The Athletic, video replay of the incident did show Homan’s finger grazing the rock.

World Curling has released a statement addressing the claims first made by Sweden on Friday and Kennedy’s subsequent reaction.

“Game umpires are situated at the end of each sheet and physically cannot see every delivery infraction. However, when they are made aware of delivery issues, game umpires are positioned to observe the delivery for three ends. During this period of observation in the Friday evening game, there were no violations recorded,” the statement said.

The sports governing body also addressed two rule concerns, including “double-touching” and touching the granite. According to the rules, players can retouch the handle multiple times, but “touching the handle after the hog line is not allowed and will result in the stone being removed from play.”

Additionally, the stone will be removed from play if the granite of the stone is touched at all during “forward motion.”

As a result of the allegations, World Curling has assigned two officials positioned to observe all deliveries for future matches starting with Saturday’s.

While in Germany for the Munich Security Conference, Hillary Clinton participated in a panel titled, “The West-West Divide: What Remains of Common Values.”

During the panel, Clinton appeared to take a stronger approach to her previous stance on border security.

ICE RAMPS UP DEPORTATION PUSH BY BOOSTING CAPACITY TO 92,600 BEDS WITH $38.3B EXPANSION

“There is a legitimate reason to have a debate about things like migration,” Clinton said.

“It went too far, it’s been disruptive and destabilizing, and it needs to be fixed in a humane way with secure borders that don’t torture and kill people and how we’re going to have a strong family structure because it is at the base of civilization,” she added.

Clinton acknowledged that there are places where a physical barrier is appropriate but opposed large-scale expansion of a border wall during her 2016 presidential campaign.

NEW DEM PROPOSAL WOULD RESTRICT ICE’S KEY TOOL TO DETAIN CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS

At the time, she supported then President Barack Obama’s executive actions that deferred immigration enforcement against millions of children and parents in the country illegally and wanted to end the practice of family detention.

Clinton also planned on continuing Obama’s policy of deporting violent criminals, but wanted to scale back immigration raids, which she said at the time produced “unnecessary fear and disruption in communities,” Fox News Digital previously reported.

In 2018, Clinton called out the Trump administration for its deportation policies.

“It is now the official policy of the US government — a nation of immigrants — to separate children from their families. That is an absolute disgrace. #FamiliesBelongTogether,” she wrote on X.

At the Newmark Civic Life Series in Manhattan last year, Clinton argued that immigrants, whether legal or illegal, have made the American economy exceptional by adding to the workforce.

“One of the reasons why our economy did so much better than comparable advanced economies across the world is because we actually had a replenishment, because we had a lot of immigrants, legally and undocumented, who had a, you know, larger than normal — by American standards — families,” she said.

Republican attorney general slams his state’s governor ‘absurd’ call

EXCLUSIVE: Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman fired back at Gov. Andy Beshear’s comments on “The View” about pulling ICE out of “every city,” setting up what could become a high-stakes intergovernmental battle over cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

“Every ICE agent should be withdrawn from every city and every community that they’re in. This organization has to be reformed from the top-down. Secretary Noem needs to be fired, and every agent needs to retrained,” Beshear told the ABC talk show, before adding the “body-count of American citizens” should lead to a “pause [to] pull everybody back.”

Coleman, who spoke to Fox News Digital from the sheriff’s office in Daviess County — home of NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip and one of several Kentucky jurisdictions that work with ICE — said his take is “not a political one” and that ICE also has the backing of those lawmen he was meeting with after the interview.

“My view as the chief law enforcement officer of this commonwealth, someone that’s carried a badge and a gun, someone that has been a federal prosecutor, [is] that statement that the governor made was absurd,” Coleman said.

TOM HOMAN VOWS TO WORK AROUND NEW DEM VA GOV SPANBERGER’S EXECUTIVE ORDER ENDING ICE COOPERATION

Coleman said the dispute centers on Beshear’s “commentary” versus the reality of which agencies he controls.

The Kentucky State Police fall under Beshear’s authority, but they currently work with ICE. Meanwhile, Coleman’s office works with the state’s 120 county sheriffs’ offices, many of which cooperate with the Department of Homeland Security.

“I don’t want to set up a straw-dog argument because the reality is the collaboration is never going to stop here because those of us who have taken an oath to protect families are going to work with our federal partners,” he said, pointing to recent successes across the Tug Fork River where such collaboration led to the arrests of 650 illegal immigrants in West Virginia.

FROM OBAMA AWARD TO MINNESOTA OP: WHY TRUMP TAPPED TOM HOMAN FOR ON-THE-GROUND CRACKDOWN

As for the legal ramifications of a potential clash between a DHS-aligned attorney general and a governor with opposing objectives, one legal expert said the situation presents an interesting case.

Former Florida federal prosecutor Zack Smith said that while every state’s attorney generalship is slightly different, a governor is an elected constitutional officer, just as sheriffs are, and that neither can tell the other what to do “in most instances.”

“The attorney general can issue opinions of law. He can issue certain advisory opinions about what state law means or requires. But there are very few instances, in Florida at least, where the attorney general can compel another constitutional officer, like sheriffs, to comply with state law.”

“Now, if they violate state law or something like that, obviously, he could then prosecute them, but there’s really not a lot he could do as a practical matter,” he said, adding that Beshear is likely relying on his gubernatorial “bully pulpit” to effect change.

“There are probably limits to what he can do — and keep in mind the 287(g) agreements” in the counties.

“I think this from a practical and policy perspective, this is a very foolish and very dangerous statement by the governor of Kentucky,” he said, pointing to Minnesota chaos bred from similar opposition to ICE operations.

PHILADELPHIA’S THREAT TO PROSECUTE ICE COULD TRIGGER LANDMARK COURT FIGHT OVER AUTHORITY, EXPERTS WARN

Beshear’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

Both Beshear and Coleman have served as attorney general — something the governor mentioned on “The View” — but Coleman said Beshear should therefore know that cooperation with federal authorities is preferable to going on offense.

“I’d like to, on one hand, be respectful of my predecessor… [but] anyone who’s spent time in law enforcement… knows that we are more effective at protecting people,” he said, noting that the county he was sitting in has ICE to thank for removing a violent child-sex predator from the streets and that local Owensboro authorities cooperated with a DHS operation to arrest an illegal immigrant who had been financially extorting seniors.

TRUMP DHS HAMMERS DEM GOVERNOR’S PORTAL TO TRACK ICE AGENTS: ‘ENCOURAGES VIOLENCE’

In neighboring Virginia, officials are moving to follow Beshear’s advice by ending state-federal cooperation forged under former Gov. Glenn Youngkin and advancing bills to restrict DHS collaboration.

When asked, Coleman said he does not see Frankfort following Richmond’s lead anytime soon and lamented the loss of several cooperative colleagues in Virginia.

“Fortunately, I don’t have to face that hypothetical here in this Commonwealth, but in our Mother Commonwealth (Virginia), it’s been very concerning. We [also] hated to lose a phenomenal colleague in Jason Miyares,” he added.

DHS also pushed back on Beshear’s position. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said federal law enforcement “will continue arresting criminal illegal aliens across the state of Kentucky while sanctuary politicians like Governor Beshear continue to demonize our law enforcement and side with criminal illegal aliens over American citizens.”

“We need state and local law enforcement engagement and information so we don’t have to have such a presence on the streets,” she said.

She listed several recent arrests in Kentucky, including Roman Sanchez, described as a criminal illegal immigrant convicted of homicide, willful killing of a family member with a gun, larceny, robbery, receiving stolen property and armed street robbery, as well as several individuals convicted of rape.

Greenland flag-waving during US-Denmark game backfires after stunning comeback

During Team USA’s comeback men’s hockey win over Denmark at the Winter Olympics, two fans raised the flag of Greenland in the stands to protest President Donald Trump’s intent to acquire Greenland for the U.S.

The flag was raised enthusiastically after Denmark took an early lead. However, the U.S. came back to win the game 6-3.

Vita Kalniņa and her husband Alexander Kalniņš, fans of the Latvian hockey team who live in Germany, held up a large Greenland flag during warmups and again when the Danish team scored the opening goal of the preliminary round game against the U.S., which ultimately beat Denmark 6-3.

“We are Europeans, and I think as Europeans we must hold together,” Kalniņš told The Associated Press.

“The Greenlandic people decide what will happen with Greenland, but, as it is now, Greenland is a part of the Danish kingdom and, as Greenland is a part of Denmark, as in this case, we support both countries against the U.S.”

A Danish fan at the game, Dennis Petersen, said, “It doesn’t matter whatever sport it is — it could be tennis, it could be bobsledding, it can be ice hockey, it could be football — it has nothing to do with politics. … They are athletes, not politicians.”

An American fan at the game, Rem de Rohan, said, “I think this is the time for people to kind of put that down and compete country versus country and enjoy,” he said. “We love rooting on every country that’s been here.”

Fans on social media had their own reactions to the flag display and the result of the game.

“Now that the USA is up 4-2 could we place a wager that if the USA wins the game, Denmark gives up Greenland?” one fan wrote in response to the flag.

One fan wrote, “Team USA won, do we get Greenland now?”

Another fan similarly said, “How did that turn out? we won, we get greenland now.”

Some American conservative influencers used the U.S. victory as a springboard to make viral jokes about annexing Greenland.

The comeback victory by the U.S. appeared uncertain early in the game.

After trailing 2-1 through the first period, the Americans dominated on offense to take a 6-3 victory over Denmark Saturday in the Milan Cortina Olympic Games.

The Americans scored three unanswered goals to open the second period, with 4 Nations hero Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa Senators), Jack Eichel (Vegas Golden Knights) and Noah Hanifin (Vegas Golden Knights) finding the back of the net.

Both sets of brothers on the team — Brady and Matthew Tkachuk and Jack and Quinn Hughes — each had a point in the contest. Fourteen players had points for the Americans with a different goal scorer each time the lamp was lit.

The Americans had 47 shots on goal compared to Denmark’s 21.

The U.S. ends preliminary play Sunday with a game against Germany at 3:10 p.m. ET. The Americans will once again be heavy favorites, and a victory will put them into the knockout stage.

The Americans can also go right to the knockout stage with an overtime loss. With a regulation loss, their fate would be determined by Canada’s game against France and point differentials with Slovakia, Finland and Sweden.

Celebrity chef and Food Network star Guy Fieri has built a career on embracing bold flavors across America, from greasy spoon classics to under-the-radar regional specialties on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

But even the self-proclaimed Mayor of Flavortown has his limits, and some of the dishes Fieri won’t touch are surprisingly common in everyday diets.

Over the years, the 58-year-old Emmy-winning chef has made clear what he avoids and struggles to stomach. Here are six of the most surprising.

PRIVATE CHEFS REVEAL THE 5 ‘HEALTHY’ FOODS THEIR WEALTHY CLIENTS USUALLY AVOID

1. Ghost peppers

Fieri is known for loving spicy food, but even he has a ceiling.

Ghost peppers, also known as bhut jolokia, rank among the hottest peppers in the world at roughly 1 million Scoville heat units, according to Chowhound.

During appearances on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” Fieri approached ghost pepper–laden wings and hot sauces cautiously, once joking that the peppers were “gonna eat my soul.”

2. Peanut butter hamburgers

A cheeseburger topped with peanut butter may sound like a novelty and perfect for “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” but for Fieri, it’s a tough sell.

On an episode of the show filmed in Indiana, Fieri reacted strongly when trying a peanut butter-topped burger, declaring, “I absolutely don’t enjoy that at all. … I wanna go home.”

He later gave the combination another try at a California spot and admitted it was better executed the second time around.

3. Cow brains

Organ meats are a recurring theme on Fieri’s no-fly list.

Fieri sampled fried cow brains at Oklahoma’s Cattleman’s Steakhouse during Season 7 of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” and visibly struggled with the texture. Brains are sometimes served with eggs, combining two of Fieri’s least favorite foods in one dish, The Daily Meal reported.

While cow brains are considered a delicacy in some culinary traditions, texture proved to be a deal-breaker for the TV host, per Mental Floss.

4. Haggis

Scotland’s national dish doesn’t get a free pass, either. Haggis, which traditionally includes sheep’s heart, liver and lungs mixed with oats and spices, falls under the offal category. The traditional version containing sheep lungs is banned in the U.S.

Fieri reportedly sampled beer-battered haggis balls at Mac’s Fish ‘N Chips in Santa Barbara during Season 13 of his show, and while he admitted it was well-seasoned, his broader aversion to organ meats remains.

5. Liver and onions

Fieri hasn’t minced words about liver, reportedly saying he “can’t even be in the same room” as the dish.

Liver and onions was previously named America’s “most hated food” by Forbes, suggesting Fieri is far from alone in his distaste. The nutrient-dense dish dates back to ancient Rome, where it was considered a prized food, according to Britannica.

6. Eggs

Perhaps the most surprising item on Fieri’s list is plain egg dishes. While he’ll use eggs as an ingredient in sauces and baked goods, Fieri avoids them when they’re the star of the plate, he has said.

In a 2024 Food Network clip, Fieri compared scrambled eggs to “liquid chicken.” His aversion reportedly stems from childhood memories of struggling through the chalky yolks of hard-boiled eggs.

Cold case killer finally faces punishment after brutal murder of 19-year-old woman

A man who raped, stabbed and murdered a 19-year-old Indianapolis woman more than 30 years ago was sentenced to 45 years in prison on Friday, closing a decades-old cold case.

Dana Shepherd, 53, was sentenced to 45 years in prison on Friday, after signing a plea deal last month admitting to the killing of Carmen Van Huss, local outlets reported, ending a decades-old cold case.

“While no passage of time can ever heal the unimaginable loss Carmen’s family has endured, we are grateful to secure a murder conviction more than 30 years after this heinous crime,” Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said in a statement. “Our hope is that this resolution brings a measure of justice and peace to her loved ones, after three decades of waiting for answers.”

Van Huss was murdered in 1993 at the age of 19 after she was raped and stabbed 61 times by a man who broke into her apartment, FOX 59 reported.

According to the outlet, Van Huss’ body was found by her father, and police said she was lying in a large pool of blood. There were signs of a struggle, police said, including a knocked over table and scattered objects.

More than 30 years after the killing, Missouri police arrested Shepherd and extradited him to Indianapolis to face charges of murder and rape with deadly force, the outlet said.

Shepherd — who was 20 years old at the time of the murder — wasn’t connected to the investigation until DNA testing tied him to the case.

FBI SOLVES ‘COLONIAL PARKWAY’ MURDERS THANKS TO NEW TECHNOLOGY, BUREAU SAYS

Shepherd was arrested in August 2024 in Columbia, Missouri, and after being extradited to Indianapolis, was scheduled to go to trial next week until a plea agreement was filed Tuesday, where Shepherd admitted to the murder charge. The additional charges were dismissed.

FOX 59 reported that Shepherd had a criminal history in Indiana before committing the murder, including charges for battery and public intoxication. After 1993, he was also charged in Missouri with stealing, disturbing the peace and driving without a license.

The Van Huss family released a statement reacting to the sentencing.

“While this plea deal was not our first choice, we are grateful that after 33 years the man responsible for Carmen’s brutal rape and murder is finally being held accountable,” the family stated.

“For decades, the perpetrator was able to live a normal life after taking that right away from Carmen and from our family. Nothing can undo that loss or erase the injustice of him living freely for so long, but we are thankful that the truth has finally come to light and that he has not escaped justice.”

Certain foods may sharpen memory and supercharge brainpower, scientists say

The dry, puckering sensation you get from dark chocolate, red wine, tea or berries could actually be activating your brain in a way similar to exercise, according to a new study.

New research from Japan suggests that flavanols — plant compounds found in these foods — may stimulate the brain not by being absorbed into the bloodstream, but by triggering a sensory response tied to their bitter taste.

“The key finding of this experiment is that it first demonstrated how flavanol intake stimulation — likely the bitter taste — is transmitted to the central nervous system, triggering a stress response reaction that enhances short-term memory and produces beneficial effects on the circulatory system,” professor Naomi Osakabe of Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan told Fox News Digital.

EXERCISE AFFECTS THE HEART IN A HIDDEN, POWERFUL WAY BY REWIRING NERVES, STUDY FINDS

“It was surprising that flavanol’s brain activity-enhancing effect occurred at a very low dose.”

In experiments on mice, a single dose of flavanols increased spontaneous activity and improved performance on memory tests, according to the study published in Current Research in Food Science.

Researchers also observed rapid activation of brain regions involved in attention, arousal and stress regulation.

SITTING ALL DAY? NEW STUDY SAYS CERTAIN FOODS MAY PROTECT YOUR HEART FROM DAMAGE

Because very little of the flavanols people consume actually enter the bloodstream, researchers believe they may instead influence the brain and heart by stimulating sensory nerves.

The researchers describe the concept as part of an emerging field known as sensory nutrition, the idea that the taste and physical sensations of food may directly regulate biological functions. This could eventually lead to new types of foods that combine appealing taste and beneficial physiological effects.

The response resembles what happens during mild exercise, which is a temporary activation of the sympathetic nervous system sometimes described as a fight-or-flight response. This type of short-term stress can sharpen focus and alertness.

“While it is clear that healthy foods contribute to maintaining and enhancing homeostasis, the mechanisms remain largely unclear,” Osakabe said. “Notably, this study identified the potential for the taste of food components to regulate biological functions.”

The study does have limitations because the research was conducted on animals, and foods are complex mixtures of many compounds that may interact with one another.

Larger, human studies are needed to determine whether the effects seen in mice also occur in people.

“I do not believe people, including most doctors, are aware that a taste of a specific molecule or compound can rapidly trigger major changes in the brain,” Dr. Johnson Moon, a neurologist at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in California, previously told Fox News Digital regarding sensory nutrition.

More data is needed before foods like dark chocolate can be recommended, especially because calories, sugar and fat could outweigh the benefits, Moon said.

Still, Osakabe noted that previous long-term human studies on cocoa flavanols have suggested cardiovascular and cognitive benefits. For now, she recommends a balanced, plant-forward diet.

“I believe consuming plant-based foods like cocoa, berries and red wine, along with fruits and vegetables, can help maintain health,” she said.
