CNN host Abby Phillip issued an on-air correction Wednesday night for her comment about the ISIS-inspired terror attack in New York City last weekend after offering a mea culpa on social media earlier in the day.
“This morning I issued a correction first thing in the morning on X for a mistake that I made in last night’s show, but I also wanted to do so on air as well,” Phillip told viewers. “I incorrectly said that the bombs that were thrown by ISIS-inspired suspects in New York over the weekend were directed at Mayor Mamdani. They were not. I failed to catch and correct that mistake in real time and I take full responsibility for that.”
“And while we do make mistakes, it is important to acknowledge and correct those errors when they happen,” Phillip added.

Phillip issued an apology on X after she had gone viral for falsely claiming the attempted terrorist attack was “against” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Notably, during Phillip’s program Tuesday night, CNN political commentator Ana Navarro repeated the falsehood, which was corrected by Republican panelist Joe Borelli.
“To be clear, the attack wasn’t on Mayor Mamdani,” Borelli told Navarro. “It was attacking protesters, people protesting Mamdani. To frame it as an anti-Muslim attack would actually completely reverse what happened. Someone who shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ threw a bomb that didn’t go off at the protesters.”

CNN senior reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere similarly claimed on X that Mamdani was a “target of political violence.” Dovere later deleted the post and issued a correction.
“I want to correct something I posted earlier on X, which inaccurately implied that Mayor Mamdani was the target of political violence in last week’s ISIS-inspired attempted terror attack in New York City,” Dovere wrote.
“Law enforcement officials have said the two terror suspects threw improvised explosive devices at an anti-Islam demonstration and a counterprotest near Mayor Mamdani’s home Saturday, but did not say that he was the target. I apologize for the error and have deleted the original post.”
CNN’s botched coverage of the attack began Tuesday when it oddly portrayed the terror suspects as teenagers who could have simply enjoyed nice weather.
“Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather,” CNN’s now-deleted X post said. “But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home. Here’s what we know so far.”
The network followed up with this explanation on X: “A post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. It has therefore been deleted.”

Pennsylvania residents Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, were charged with material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and use of a weapon of mass destruction after they allegedly tossed explosive devices toward law enforcement and anti-Muslim demonstrators outside Gracie Mansion on Saturday protesting Mamdani.
Both of the terrorist suspects are U.S. citizens. One suspect’s parents are naturalized U.S. citizens from Turkey, while the other suspect’s parents are naturalized U.S. citizens from Afghanistan.
Student’s mother uncovers disturbing evidence, triggering teacher’s arrest
Washington parents are demanding answers after a 62-year-old physical education teacher and athletic director at Skykomish K-12 School was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing a student for more than a year.
Records obtained by Fox News Digital show that a Washington state man was booked March 6 by the King County Sheriff’s Office during the investigation of the rape of a child.
Fox News Digital is not naming the individual because he has not been formally charged.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said on Tuesday that it has not yet received the case but expects it Wednesday from the sheriff’s office for a charging decision.

According to investigators, the female student, now 14, transferred to the school in seventh grade and bonded with the teacher over a shared interest in soccer after experiencing the traumatic loss of a friend at her previous school.

The alleged abuse, which included sexual intercourse, continued for about a year and a half and took place in multiple locations on campus, including in closets, stairwells and the gymnasium during the school day, according to the probable cause statement.

The relationship became increasingly personal over time, with frequent communication through his school district email account that investigators allege included coded references to sexual activity.
Deputies also allege the teacher admitted to repeated sexual contact with the student inside the school and acknowledged purchasing gifts for her, including lingerie.
The probable cause statement says multiple staff members and students raised concerns about the relationship.

Investigators allege the principal at the school instructed the 62-year-old not to be alone with the student, but instead of assigning adult supervision, another student, described as autistic, was present while the two were in the same area.
The case came to light after the student’s mother discovered nude images and videos on her daughter’s phone and contacted law enforcement, according to investigators.
“I’m shaking right now because I’m pretty irritated about this,” said Maria, a parent of a young child in the district, who didn’t want to provide her last name, in an interview with local Fox 13.

Kyler Murray’s time with the Arizona Cardinals is officially over after the team released him at the start of the new league year Wednesday.
Murray is now a free agent who can speak with any team who may want his services in 2026 and beyond. But it looks like one team is going to be heavily pursuing the former No. 1 overall pick.
The Minnesota Vikings, despite having 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy entering his third season with the club, are the “overwhelming favorite” to sign Murray, according to ESPN.

McCarthy, who didn’t play his rookie year due to a season-ending injury in the preseason, got his first taste of regular-season NFL football in 2025. But McCarthy struggled despite a 6-4 record in 10 games. Injuries cost him time yet again.
With McCarthy’s status uncertain in Minnesota, it appears head coach Kevin O’Connell and the rest of the organization are looking for a veteran who could possibly step in while McCarthy develops.

Last season, Murray went 2-3 in his five games, throwing for six touchdowns and three interceptions before a foot injury knocked him out the rest of the way. Jacoby Brissett, who figures to take over as the team’s starter in the second year of the two-year deal he signed last offseason with the franchise, took over for Murray and thrived despite what the record said. He threw for a career-high 3,366 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
The Cardinals, though, finished 3-14, and the franchise went in a different direction and fired head coach Jonathan Gannon. Mike LaFleur, who served as the Los Angeles Rams’ offensive coordinator, is his replacement heading into 2026.
Early in his Cardinals tenure, Murray was a player to build around after making back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2020 and 2021, the latter of which he threw for 3,787 yards and 24 touchdowns and ran for 423 yards with five scores on the ground. He also rushed for 819 yards with 11 rushing scores in 2020, a part of his game that made him so electric.
Injuries, though, have hampered Murray’s career, including a torn ACL in Week 14 of the 2022 season that resulted in him missing nine games in 2023. Then, after a full 17-game season in 2024, he injured a foot.

Bigfoot buzz explodes in community after six sightings reported in just four days
A series of social media posts from a cryptid-focused podcast has ignited speculation about widespread Bigfoot sightings in northeast Ohio, with enthusiasts pointing to what they describe as a concentrated burst of activity.
The Bigfoot Society, a podcast and online community dedicated to collecting eyewitness accounts of Sasquatch encounters, says it had received six separate reports between March 6 and March 10 in wooded areas near Mantua and Garrettsville, southeast of Cleveland.
The group has described the cluster as a possible “flap,” a term used in cryptozoology for multiple sightings within a short time span.
“It’s normal for there to be Bigfoot sightings all over the United States, but it’s not normal to have multiple sightings in a small area within a short number of days,” Jeremiah Byron, host of the Bigfoot Society Podcast, told Fox 8.

According to summaries shared by the organization, the reported encounters include:
- March 6: A witness described a brown, approximately 9-foot-tall figure seen outdoors.
- March 7: A reported brown, 8-foot-tall figure, along with alleged footprints and deep “grunts.”
- March 9: A reported black, 8-foot-tall figure.
- March 9: A separate account of a black, 10-foot-tall figure said to be accompanied by a heavy, musky odor.
- March 9: A witness reported seeing a brown, roughly 6-foot-tall figure from about 100 feet away through a window.
- March 10: An account describing an 8- to 10-foot-tall “large black shadow” said not to resemble a bear.

In social media posts, the Bigfoot Society urged residents in Portage County to “pay attention,” suggesting that “something’s moving through these corridors.”

“So, if you’re in this area, keep your eyes open and maybe your doors locked because there could be a Bigfoot in the same general vicinity.” said one poster in the group, which has 282,000 members.
According to a flurry of recent posts in the group, several Bigfoot hunters claimed to have “locked eyes with a nine-foot-tall, brown-haired Sasquatch.”

Tarik Skubal, the back-to-back AL Cy Young Award winner, was always scheduled to return to the Detroit Tigers after making one World Baseball Classic (WBC) start for Team USA.
He even got backing from teammates, who understood why he was leaving the tournament early.
But what Skubal didn’t expect was the social media backlash from USA fans, who have been comparing him to infamous American traitor Benedict Arnold.

But not everyone is sold on the branding of Markle’s latest endeavor.

Still, the branding expert argued that credibility hinges on sustained success. Referencing uneven reports surrounding As Ever and what he described as a lack of continuity in her ventures, Eldridge pointed to stalled acting work and a Netflix project that was not renewed.
“For someone who often talks about building, her record seems more in line with demolition.”
The planned return to Australia by Markle and Prince Harry feels more commercial than royal, according to Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield’s Unfiltered.”
“Harry is scheduled to appear as a keynote speaker at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit, which focuses on workplace mental health. At the same time, Meghan is being positioned as the headline attraction at a luxury women’s retreat at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, where guests are paying for an intimate dinner and conversation with her while promotional materials highlight everything from her acting career on ‘Suits’ to her podcast ‘Archetypes,’ their work through Archewell Philanthropies and her lifestyle brand As Ever.”

The royal expert compared Markle and Prince Harry’s focus on commercial success to Sarah Ferguson’s similar phase in the 1990s.

College employee says she’s had girlfriends with male genitals amid SJSU trans scandal
The California State University (CSU) system’s board of trustees meeting Tuesday was shaken by a stampede of emotional residents and alumni reacting to a decision to sue the federal government.
CSU and San Jose State University announced Friday they are filing the lawsuit to challenge the U.S. Department of Education’s recent findings that SJSU violated Title IX in its handling of a transgender volleyball player from 2022-24.
Tuesday’s meeting turned into a war of words. Many speakers ignored instructions to address the board and instead addressed other speakers in the crowd.

One woman, a CSU employee, said she showed up with the intention of discussing budget cuts but abandoned that plan to address “transphobia” by other speakers once she heard what they said.
“The fact that I have to get up here and have to say that trans women are women and that’s what I have to use my time to do is absurd. Shame on you. Shame on all of you,” she said.
The female employee then took aim at the “save women’s sports” speakers who spoke from the perspective of lesbian women.
“And shame on you for using lesbian politics as a front for your transphobia because this lesbian has had plenty of girlfriends with penises,” she said.
The moderator then instructed the speakers to “please make your comments to the board. That’s what we’re here to hear.”
But other speakers did not direct their comments to the board.
Prominent California “save women’s sports” activist Beth Bourne directed her comments at any transgender people listening.
“I want to speak to anyone who is listening who is transgender or nonbinary. You’ve been lied to,” Bourne said. “They’re making money off of your body. If you’re taking cross-sex hormones, you’re harming yourself. You’re permanently harming yourself. And just remember your mother and your father love you more than anyone in the world.”
The moderator then interrupted the next speaker to again remind those in attendance to direct comments to the board.
“I would remind everyone, speak to us please. Don’t speak to each other. Thank you,” he said.
Other speakers did direct their comments to the board.
An SJSU alumnus expressed her objection to the CSU and SJSU decision to defy the Department of Education’s mandate.
“I’m so disappointed that Cal State is no longer welcome to women. I’m here to support Title IX and state a basic truth: Males cannot become females,” she said. “Everyone understands this in sports.”

A current student, who claimed to head a club at SJSU called “Trans Saga,” expressed support for the decision to sue the government.
“Our community has been angry, scared and tired. Today, I’m here to share my gratitude and support for the board of trustees’ decision,” the student said. “As a transgender student who is in his third year at SJSU, I’m asking you, please listen to us, and please keep protecting transgender students.”
Alison Foote, the treasurer for the Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS), showed up to the meeting wearing an XX-XY Athletics shirt. She called the recent decision to sue “an embarrassment to the entire CSU system.”
“This is CSU-sanctioned sexual abuse of the women you are obligated to protect. Your internally inconsistent Title IX and DHR guidelines that prioritize gender identity over sex has created the hostile environment unfolding before you now, but most importantly for the 260,000 women enrolled on your campuses,” Foote said.
SJSU and CSU announced their lawsuit Friday after the Department of Education determined SJSU violated Title IX in its handling of a transgender volleyball player from 2022-24.
U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon responded on Wednesday, warning the institutions they have 10 days to change their tune or risk federal funding cuts and a referral to the U.S. Department of Justice.

OCR will issue a Letter of Impending Enforcement Action in 10 calendar days if a resolution agreement is not reached within that 10-day period,” a letter from McMahon said.
“Enforcement action may include the initiation of an administrative process set forth in 20 U.S.C. § 1681, ; 34 C.F.R. Parts 100, 101, 106; and 20 U.S.C. § 1234, to suspend, terminate, or refuse to grant or to continue Federal funding — or other means authorized by law, including referral to the Department of Justice. This letter does not constitute final agency action.”
SJSU and CSU have since responded to Fox News Digital’s inquiry for a response to McMahon’s warning.
“We have shared numerous documents and resources on our website, which you can refer to, including all related legal documents, FAQ and our official statement. As this remains an ongoing legal matter, the CSU will not be commenting further at this time,” the response said.
SJSU President Cynthia Teniente-Matson disputes OCR’s findings.
“Because we believe OCR’s findings aren’t grounded in the facts or the law, SJSU and the CSU filed a lawsuit (March 6) against the federal government to challenge those findings and prevent the federal government from taking punitive action against the university, including the potential withholding of critical federal funding,” Teniente-Matson said Friday.

Teniente-Matson affirmed the university’s commitment to defending the LGBTQ community in the announcement.
“Our support for the LGBTQ members of our community, who have experienced threats and harms over the last several years, remains unwavering. We know the attention the university has received around this issue and the investigative process that followed have been unsettling for many in our community,” she said.
“We’ve heard the fear and anxiety that it has created and recognize that waiting for the university’s response has been difficult at a time already filled with uncertainty.”
The conflict has been amplified by recent revelations by former SJSU co-captain Brooke Slusser, who revealed what it was like sharing an apartment with Fleming in a Fox News Digital interview Sunday.

“You find out you’re just chilling in a bed with a man that you have no idea about. … I [was] unknowingly sharing a bed at that time with a man,” she said.

Viral video shows former President Bill Clinton appearing to nudge former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton toward a busy New York City intersection crosswalk Tuesday, prompting her to pull back and protest as the couple attempted to cross the street.
The Clintons were walking in New York City after attending an event and visiting their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, when the awkward encounter unfolded.
Video showed the former president smiling as he pushed his wife into an adjoining crosswalk, in an apparent jaywalking attempt.
Hillary Clinton pulled back and raised her hands in front of her to avoid being thrust into the street, saying, “No, no, no, no, no. Don’t do that. Don’t do that.”

“That’s not a good idea,” Bill Clinton replied with a grin.
Moments later, the crosswalk signal changed, and the pair — accompanied by what appeared to be a security detail — crossed the street without incident.
The appearance came days after the Clintons wrapped up their testimony in a probe related to the government’s handling of the case against disgraced late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Bill Clinton had publicly acknowledged a past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, including shared trips. However, the Clintons have not been accused of misconduct related to Epstein.

Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime accountant testified behind closed doors that he was never aware of any payments the late financier and sex offender made to President Donald Trump, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said Wednesday.
Richard Kahn, one of the executors of Epstein’s estate, is the latest person to be deposed in the committee’s investigation into how the federal government handled Epstein’s case.
“Mr. Kahn testified under oath that — because the Democrats asked this question — that he had never seen any type of transaction to Trump or anyone in his family,” Comer told reporters. “That makes the fifth witness now that’s testified under oath that they’ve never seen any involvement by Donald Trump or the family.”

Comer said Kahn did confirm, however, that five people paid money to Epstein: ex-Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner, hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, businessman Steven Sinofsky, the Rothschilds and investor Leon Black. Epstein was known to have served as a financial advisor for each of them.

“What Kahn said is he was under the impression that Epstein made his money as a tax advisor and a financial planner. So, these were the five people that transferred significant sums of money to Epstein,” Comer said.
But when it comes to Trump, Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, D-Va., gave a slightly different account of what Kahn said behind closed doors.
He told reporters Kahn said a “person who was an accuser of Donald Trump was given a settlement by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate.”
That does not necessarily mean that the alleged settlement was regarding Trump.
A person familiar with the deposition told Fox News Digital, “Earlier testimony from Kahn about the Trump accuser receiving a settlement from the Epstein estate is incorrect. When the Democrats asked about Jane Doe 4, they were talking about someone else. Kahn’s attorneys went back on the record to clarify that the person the Dems thought was Jane Doe 4 was not an individual they had ever heard of.”

The president was known to be a friend of Epstein’s until the two had a falling out before the late pedophile’s first federal investigation.
He has not been implicated in any wrongdoing related to his crimes.
Subramanyam said Kahn also testified that “there was another head of state that was mentioned as having financial transactions with Jeffrey Epstein,” though he did not elaborate on who that was.
