Speech from Navy SEAL who killed bin Laden to Team USA sparks liberal meltdown

Former Navy SEAL Robert J. O’Neill, who was part of the 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden, delivered a pregame speech to Team USA players ahead of their World Baseball Classic quarterfinal game against Canada Friday.

Team USA beat Canada 5-3 to advance to the semifinals after O’Neill’s pep talk. But the speech also received criticism from left-wing social media users within and beyond the U.S.

Many who criticized the speech condemned its pro-war messaging and association of war with American values.

Other Americans praised the speech and fired back at the critics.

“It’s unfathomable that the comment section is filled with people upset about an American hero telling a team representing America about a heroic story about a mission his team accomplished. We went from a patriotic country post 9/11 to a country full of terrorist sympathizers,” one X user wrote.

Another user wrote, “Epic! Well played by @USABaseball. American hero and legend in the clubhouse.”

TEAM USA BASEBALL MANAGER MARK DEROSA RESPONDS TO CRITICISM AMID MOUNTING CONTROVERSY

The U.S. will play the Dominican Republic in a WBC semifinal Sunday.

The win over Canada marked the third time in less than a month that Americans have crushed Canadian sports dreams on the world stage after dramatic victories over Canada in both the men’s and women’s Olympic hockey gold medal games last month.

O’Neill wasn’t the only one to hype up Team USA before the game.

Team USA manager Mark DeRosa revealed that USA hockey hero Jack Hughes, who scored the winning goal in the gold medal game against Canada at the Olympics, reached out to the American baseball players before Friday’s game.

“Jack Hughes sent the boys a nice little fire-up message that I put out on their group chat,” DeRosa said during a press conference Thursday ahead of the game.

“I know there are some talks about some hockey jerseys being sent in tomorrow for the guys to wear during BP or out and about in the clubhouse.”

Heavy metal legend dead at 64 as family says his music will live on forever

Phil Campbell, the longtime guitarist for Motörhead, has died, Fox News Digital confirmed. He was 64.

Motörhead released a statement on social media, saying, “We cannot believe we’re saying this…it is with profound sadness that we have to say Philip Anthony Campbell has passed.”

The band described him as a musician who led with heart as much as talent.

“Phil was a wonderful guitarist, writer, performer, and musician who had Motörhead in his veins. He always led with his gift of guitar, and carried a great sense of humour, but most of all, Phil led with his heart. You could not be around him without a chuckle or twenty, because quite simply, Phil loved life and lived it with great joy,” the statement added.

MOTORHEAD GUITARIST FAST EDDIE CLARKE DEAD AT 67

As fans and friends mourned his death, the band asked for privacy for Campbell’s family.

“There will be plenty of time for us to share stories — tales of Campbell glory — and some damn good jokes together; for now, please send love and positive energy to Gaynor and the boys while affording them time, space, and privacy,” they said.

The tribute concluded with a note of grief and admiration: “Much love and RIP Phil. The world has just lost an enormous beam of light, and we are devastated.”

An additional statement shared on the Instagram account of his band, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, said, “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Philip Anthony Campbell, who passed away peacefully last night following a long and courageous battle in intensive care after a complex major operation.

“Phil was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a proud and loving grandfather, known affectionately as ‘Bampi.’ He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be missed immensely. His legacy, music and the memories he created with so many will live on forever.

“We kindly ask that our family’s privacy is respected during this incredibly difficult time.”

Born in Pontypridd, Wales, Campbell first made his mark in the late 1970s with the heavy metal band Persian Risk. But his career — and rock history — changed in 1984, when Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister called on him to replace guitarist Brian Robertson, according to Rolling Stone.

Campbell debuted on Motörhead’s 1986 album “Orgasmatron,” and became the band’s longest-serving guitarist.

Over 31 years with the band, he recorded 16 studio albums and laid down some of the band’s most unforgettable riffs on tracks like “Deaf Forever,” “Eat the Rich” and “Born to Raise Hell.”

Even after Motörhead disbanded after Kilmister’s death in 2015, Campbell kept the music alive.

He released his first solo album, “Old Lions Still Roar,” in 2019 and toured with his sons in Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

Former Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee called Campbell “the funniest guy I have ever known and the best rock guitar player I have ever played with.”

Dee added on Instagram, “Most of all, I will miss hanging out with the nicest guy you could ever meet… Sleep well, my friend and rock soldier. Say hi to Lemmy, Würzel, Filthy and Eddie. I am sure you’ll be a crazy gang hanging out together again!”

Campbell’s death is the latest in a series of losses for Motörhead fans.

Guitarist “Fast Eddie” Clarke, who helped craft the band’s classic sound, died in 2018 at 67.

Clark walks away from Reese’s outstretched hand in World Cup qualifier

The rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese got some new fuels Friday.

A clip is making the rounds of Clark ignoring Reese’s gesture for a high-five during a game for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers. As Reese held her hand out for her Team USA teammate, Clark walked in the other direction.

The U.S. won the game 91-48 over Puerto Rico.

There has been suspected tension between Clark and Reese dating back to their meeting in the 2023 NCAA women’s basketball championship game

Reese taunted Clark by pointing to her ring finger during the game, prompting outrage and sparking an ongoing feud between fans.

Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes got revenge on Reese’s LSU Tigers a year later in the Elite Eight, but the tension hit a whole new level when the players reached the pros for their rookie WNBA seasons.

CAITLIN CLARK SELECTS FEVER TEAMMATES, PASSES ON ANGEL REESE IN WNBA ALL-STAR DRAFT

In their first WNBA season in 2024, Clark took a series of questionable fouls from Reese’s Sky throughout the 2024 season, including one from Reese June 16.

In 2025, the two had a heated exchange after Reese pushed Fever forward Natasha Howard in the back as she grabbed an offensive rebound off a miss by teammate Rebecca Allen. Reese brought the ball low, and Clark fouled her before she went up for a shot. Reese fell to the ground.

Reese got up from the floor and got into the face of Clark.

Referees reviewed the play and determined Clark used her left hand to shove Reese to the floor. They upgraded the personal foul on Clark to a flagrant foul. And Reese and Aliyah Boston of the Fever were issued technical fouls.

“Nothing malicious about it, just a good take foul,” Clark told ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

Now, the two stars are teammates for the U.S. as they try to make the FIBA World Cup, but fans can probably still sense an awkward dynamic between them.

Headless, handless body found on NY road finally identified after 56 years

The headless, handless body of a man found on the side of a lonely road in New York’s Allegany County 56 years ago has been identified through DNA advancements, officials announced this week.

Still, his killer hasn’t been caught.

The body of Clyde A. Coppage, 35, was discovered along a road in Andover in upstate New York in March 1970.

STAR MURDAUGH TRIAL WITNESS PROBES MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF BUSTER’S FORMER CLASSMATE

“Over the course of nearly 56 years, investigating members of the New York State Police continued to track down every lead, but the identity of the male remained unknown,” New York State Police said in a news release Thursday.

Coppage was originally from Pennsylvania and hadn’t been reported missing.

He didn’t have any clothes on or any other way to identify him, Trooper James O’Callaghan said Friday, according to the Albany Times Union.

In June 2022, his body was exhumed for a DNA profile, and, with the help of the FBI, he was finally identified.

Agents tell Seahawks GM ‘can’t use that anymore’ after millionaire tax

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider highlighted a recent decision by Washington state lawmakers that he believes could pose problems as the reigning Super Bowl champions look to add players to sustain long-term success.

Washington’s long-standing status as a largely tax-free state is set to change in 2028 after lawmakers approved a “millionaire tax” that would levy a 9.9% rate on high earners.

The tax will apply to individuals earning more than $1 million annually. Gov. Bob Ferguson has indicated he will sign the bill. It is unclear whether the legislation will face legal challenges. Schneider projected the new tax deduction could hinder the Seahawks’ ability to recruit and ultimately sign free agents.

Schneider suggested that part of the team’s pitch to free agents over the years has highlighted Washington’s tax exemptions.

“There were a bunch of agents texting me the other day like, ‘Hey, can’t use that anymore, buddy,’” Schneider said this week on his Seattle Sports 710-AM radio show.

SEAHAWKS GM JOHN SCHNEIDER GOES VIRAL AFTER AWKWARD KENNETH WALKER III CONTRACT TALK AT SUPER BOWL LX PARADE

“I think it is for all the pro teams here in town. It’s always been a huge attraction, especially competing with the California teams. It’s been a big deal for us. So, it’s going to sting, from a recruiting standpoint and what that looks like. I’m sure Mike Reinfeldt and Mickey Loomis and all the cap guys that have been here before, too, are looking at this like, ‘Dang.’”

As of 2026, the Seahawks are one of eight NFL clubs based in a state that does not impose income tax on personal wages.

Two of those teams, the Texans and Cowboys, are based in Texas, while three of those teams play home games in Florida: the Jaguars, Buccaneers and Dolphins. The Raiders relocated from California to the neighboring tax-free Nevada in 2020, while the Titans are set to open a multibillion-dollar domed stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2027.

“It’s going to be a problem, and hopefully it doesn’t happen,” an unnamed NFL agent told ESPN when asked about thoughts on the potential impact the new taxes could have on the Seahawks.

While it remains unclear whether the new taxes will influence NFL players’ decisions about signing with the Seahawks, an MLB player recently cited California’s higher tax rates in his decision to turn down a deal with the San Diego Padres.

Merrill Kelly, who entered the free agent market after pitching in 10 games with the Texas Rangers in 2025, last month agreed to a deal to return to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Kelly agreed to a two-year contract worth an estimated $40 million with the Diamondbacks, according to ESPN. Although the Padres offered a comparable deal at three years instead of two, California’s 13% tax rate on income above $1 million proved a key difference.

“I don’t think it’s any secret on how much money you get taken out of your pocket when you go to California,” the right-hander told “Foul Territory.”

Brittany and Jason first met in 2012 when Jason was still married to his ex-wife, Jessica Ussery. Their relationship began in scandal when they were photographed kissing while he was still married, prompting him to file for divorce in April 2013.

They confirmed they were dating in March 2014, getting engaged in September 2014. The two tied the knot in March 2015.

After more than a decade together, the former “American Idol” contestant and her husband collaborated professionally for the first time, releasing their first duet, “Easier Gone,” in January 2026.

“People have always asked if we were ever going to do anything, and I think we were kind of nonchalant about it for a long time. And I think Jason always said, ‘It would have to be the right song.’ Finally, one came along,” Brittany said in a fan Q&A.

‘Yellowstone’ star targeted by Montana locals as move from LA sparks small-town fury

Luke Grimes, best known for his role as Kayce Dutton in “Yellowstone” and its spinoff, “Marshals,” is facing unexpected backlash after leaving Hollywood behind for life in Montana.

The actor told Joe Rogan that moving to the Big Sky State hasn’t always been smooth sailing, and his move from Los Angeles has sparked unexpected fury among locals.

“Well, your show made a lot of f—ing people move out there, though,” Rogan pointed out during his podcast.

‘MARSHALS’ STAR LUKE GRIMES ON WHY HE AND HIS WIFE DITCHED HOLLYWOOD FOR MONTANA

“That’s true. Yeah. And they’re not happy about it,” Grimes admitted. “The valley that I live in, we had some people come visit us. Our friends from California drove out, and we went on a hike, and we were in their car. And they had, you know, Cali plates.

“We get off the hike, and someone had written ‘go back’ in the dust on their car. Like, people are super weird about it, so I don’t tell anyone exactly where I’m at because they would get really mad at me.”

The tension has spilled into public spaces, the Hollywood actor explained.

“I can’t go to bars there anymore because whatever that one idiot is, is at the bar, and he can’t wait to start a fight with me. Just like can’t wait to do it because it’s like a win-win for him, you know? He gets to sue me or something. I don’t know, but it’s a lose-lose for me,” Grimes said.

However, the move to Montana was a personal choice for Grimes and his family.

In February at the “Marshals” premiere, the actor explained to Fox News Digital why he and his wife, Brazilian model Bianca Rodrigues, left Hollywood behind.

“I was going up there three or four months out of the year, and then anytime we’d get done filming, and I’d come back here, it sort of felt like I was leaving home rather than going back home,” he said.

The couple, who share one son, Rigel Randolph Grimes, fell in love with Montana slowly over several years.

“It was just a gear change that slowly happened over a course of a few years and then, yeah, my wife and I just fell in love with it and decided to live there,” he added.

Grimes returned to screens as Kayce Dutton in “Marshals,” the latest expansion of Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” universe.

According to an official synopsis, Dutton “joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring ranger justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.”

Alleged security guard for Dem firebrand shot dead after pointing gun at police: officials

A suspect who reportedly worked security for progressive Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett was shot and killed in a Dallas SWAT standoff Wednesday after reportedly being wanted for impersonating a police officer, according to reports.

The suspect, whose name has not been released by police, barricaded himself inside a vehicle in the garage of a children’s hospital at around 11 p.m. after officers with the Dallas Police Department’s fugitive unit tracked him while investigating an active warrant, FOX 4 reported.

Police deployed tear gas to force him out before the suspect exited the vehicle and pointed a gun at officers, prompting them to open fire, according to Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux.

He was wanted for impersonating a law enforcement officer and had claimed to be one while recruiting for his business that placed off-duty officers in security jobs, CBS News reported.

“They came across a target that ended up being a barricaded suspect,” Comeaux said of the shooting, which happened at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

“At that time, they tried to use tear gas to bring the suspect out. He came out of the vehicle, he had a gun, he pointed a gun toward officers. Officers shot and fired. … He was pronounced dead at the scene,” Comeaux said.

Comeaux said the suspect displayed a gun but did not fire it. No officers were injured.

The suspect had worked as a security guard for the outspoken lawmaker, law enforcement sources told FOX 4.

CBS News Texas reported the suspect used several aliases, including “Mike King,” and had worked on Crockett’s security detail while she was in both Washington, D.C., and Texas, including during campaign events for her run in the Democratic Senate primary, which she eventually lost to candidate James Talarico.

The suspect oversaw teams of security officers at several downtown Dallas hotels and at his church, sources told CBS. The outlet also reported that the suspect drove a replica undercover law enforcement vehicle with license plates allegedly stolen from vehicles outside a military recruiting office.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Dallas Police Department and Crockett’s office for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Rock star cancels Spain show after calling hotel ‘indescribable hell’

British rock star Morrissey called off his concert in Spain for a very relatable reason.

On Thursday, Morrissey shared a statement on his website saying his show scheduled in Valencia was called off “due to sleep deprivation.”

According to the statement, the musician traveled from Milan “but has been unable to rest in Valencia due to noise.” The “loud techno singing (and) megaphone announcements” made it impossible for him to get a good night’s rest.

MORRISSEY CANCELS WEEKEND SHOWS AFTER RECEIVING ‘CREDIBLE THREAT’ ON HIS LIFE DURING WORLD TOUR

“This experience has left Morrissey in a catatonic state,” the statement said.

The Las Fallas festival in Valencia is a five-day spectacle, usually occurring March 15–19, that marks the beginning of spring with large, artistic sculptures. The creations are displayed throughout the city before being burned in a dramatic finale known as La Cremà.

Morrissey’s statement emphasized in bold print that “the show is not canceled. Circumstances render the show impossible.” It is unclear if ticket holders were able to get a refund.

The musician described his hotel on Plaza Manises as “indescribable hell. It will take me one year to recover. And that is an understatement.”

On Thursday, the Embassy of Spain in the U.K. shared a video of the Las Fallas festivities.

“The Fallas festival in Valencia has already begun, and we have had our first casualty. Morrissey has cancelled his show because he couldn’t sleep,” the statement said.

“Fallas is noise, fireworks … and there is a light that never goes out! Enjoy today’s mascletá!”
