Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey shrugged off the newly surfaced cellphone video Friday taken by a federal agent of the shooting that killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.

Alpha News was the first to obtain the video showing a tense exchange between the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent and Good, who was shot and killed while behind the wheel of her car he was standing in front of it. The video also shows Good’s wife, who is seen taunting the agent from outside the vehicle.

In a report that aired Friday on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” Frey was shown the video by correspondent Whit Johnson but appeared not to be swayed by it.

“He walked away with a hop in his step from the incident. There’s another person that’s dead. He held on his cell phone. I think that speaks for itself,” Frey reacted.

VANCE DOUBLES DOWN ON ‘DISGUSTING’ PRESS AS NEW FOOTAGE FROM ICE SHOOTING SURFACES, ACCUSES OUTLETS OF ‘LYING’

“Does that video, that angle change your perspective at all about what may have happened?” Johnson asked.

“I think an investigation could change or affirm my perspective,” Frey responded. “But we’ve [all got] two eyes, and I can see a person that is trying to leave. I can see an ICE agent that was not run over by a car. That didn’t happen.”

RENEE NICOLE GOOD PART OF ‘ICE WATCH’ GROUP, DHS SOURCES SAY

Frey rushed to reject the Trump administration’s claim that the ICE agent acted in self-defense Wednesday, calling it “bulls—” and demanding ICE “get the f— out of Minneapolis.”

The shooting has divided the country along partisan lines, with the Trump administration accusing Good of attempting to ram her vehicle into the ICE agent and critics saying she was trying to turn her vehicle away and that the ICE agent used excessive force.

The new footage shows the ICE agent approaching the vehicle with Good telling him, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad.”

Her wife, seen approaching the agent, taunted him, “You want to come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy. Go ahead.”

Another agent is heard repeatedly telling Good to get out of the car. As her wife attempts to get into the passenger door, Good backs up her vehicle with her wife telling her, “Drive, baby. Drive.”

As the car moves forward, the agent says “Whoa” as his cellphone shakes before shots ring out. Someone is heard saying, “F—ing b—-” as the car veers away before crashing into a parked vehicle, which is only heard in the footage.

Officials have reportedly identified a possible cause of death for a 4-year-old Alabama boy who was found dead days after he was reported missing on New Year’s Eve.

A preliminary autopsy report indicates that Johnathan Boley’s death is consistent with hypothermia, Walker County Coroner Joey Vick said this week, according to Fox affiliate WBRC and NBC affiliate WVTM.

Investigators noted that the child had removed his shoes and said drowning was not suspected, WTVM reported.

A final autopsy report has not yet been released.

MISSING 4-YEAR-OLD FLORIDA BOY FOUND DEAD AFTER MASSIVE 3-DAY SEARCH IN ALABAMA WOODS

Boley’s funeral is scheduled for Jan. 10, according to WBRC.

Hypothermia is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body is exposed to freezing temperatures, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Johnathan Everett Boley was reported missing on Dec. 30 after he wandered away from a rural property along Highway 195 near Jasper, Alabama, while playing outside with his dog, Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said during a news conference.

Following a multi-day search involving hundreds of law enforcement officers, volunteers, K-9 teams, drones and aircraft, searchers found the child’s body on Jan. 2 roughly two miles from the home, officials said.

The dog was located alive nearby.

FATHER ARRESTED ON DRUG, WEAPONS CHARGES AS 4-YEAR-OLD SON FOUND DEAD AFTER NEW YEAR’S DISAPPEARANCE

“This is not the outcome anyone hoped for,” Smith said at the time. “Our hearts go out to this family and everyone who worked tirelessly to bring this child home.”

Johnathan Boley and his siblings live with their mother in Florida and were visiting their father for the holidays under a custody arrangement, authorities said.

Boley’s father, Jameson Kyle Boley, 40, of Jasper, Alabama, has been charged with felony chemical endangerment of a child and unlawful manufacture of a destructive device, according to Walker County District Court records obtained by Fox News Digital.

Law enforcement officials have said that the destructive-device charge is not related to the death of his son.

“At this time, there is no evidence indicating foul play in the child’s death, and these charges should not be conflated with the search for Johnathan,” Smith said during a news conference.

Trump calls for credit card industry overhaul, declares Americans getting ‘ripped off’

President Donald Trump announced Friday he is calling for a one-year cap limiting credit card interest rates to 10%.

Trump blamed the Biden administration for allowing rates to rise as high as 20–30%, adding that Americans were being “ripped off” by credit card companies.

“Please be informed that we will no longer let the American Public be ‘ripped off’ by Credit Card Companies that are charging Interest Rates of 20 to 30%, and even more, which festered unimpeded during the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration,” Trump wrote on Truth Social

“AFFORDABILITY! Effective January 20, 2026, I, as President of the United States, am calling for a one year cap on Credit Card Interest Rates of 10%.”

EX-TRUMP ADVISOR RAISES ALARM OVER BIPARTISAN CREDIT CARD PLAN THAT COULD HURT AMERICANS

Trump noted that the cap would coincide with the one-year anniversary of his return to the White House.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., introduced a bill in February 2025 that would cap credit card interest rates at 10%, but the changes would sunset on Jan. 1, 2031, making it nine years longer than the proposal outlined by Trump.

TRUMP VOWS TO SLASH MORTGAGE RATES, REVIVE ‘AMERICAN DREAM’ WHILE BLAMING BIDEN HOUSING FAILURES IN TRUTH POST

Earlier Friday, before Trump announced his plan, Sanders smeared Trump for failing to cap credit card interest rates.

“Trump promised to cap credit card interest rates at 10% and stop Wall Street from getting away with murder,” Sanders wrote in an X post. “Instead, he deregulated big banks charging up to 30% interest on credit cards. The result? Last year, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon made $770 million. Unacceptable.”

TRUMP’S CALL FOR $1.5 TRILLION DEFENSE BUDGET WOULD ADD TRILLIONS TO DEBT: CRFB

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., the top Democrat on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, reacted to Trump’s proposal, calling it a “joke.”

“Begging credit card companies to play nice is a joke,” Warren said in a statement. “I said a year ago if Trump was serious I’d work to pass a bill to cap rates. Since then, he’s done nothing but try to shut down the CFPB.”

Warren accused Trump of not caring about affordability, adding that “Americans know a fraud when they see one.”

Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman reacted to Trump’s announcement, calling the president’s proposal a “mistake.”

“Without being able to charge rates adequate enough to cover losses and to earn an adequate return on equity, credit card lenders will cancel cards for millions of consumers who will have to turn to loan sharks for credit at rates higher than and on terms inferior to what they previously paid,” he wrote on X.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., quickly voiced support for the proposal on X, saying he “can’t wait to vote for this.”

Whistleblowers who come forward with information related to Minnesota’s sprawling fraud scandal will receive cash payments, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Friday on Fox News.

The Trump administration launched a wide-scale fraud investigation in Minnesota amid a growing web of allegations involving money-laundering schemes and misuse of taxpayer funds.

“We know that these rats will turn on each other,” Bessent told “The Ingraham Angle.”

“We are going to offer whistleblower payments to anyone who wants to tell us the who, what, when, where and how this fraud has been done. I think that that will give us a great leap forward on how to get it done,” he added.

CRITICS WARN MINNESOTA LEGISLATION NOW TAKING EFFECT IS SETTING UP THE ‘NEXT BILLION-DOLLAR FRAUD’

Several Minnesota childcare and food-distribution facilities have been accused of misusing federal funds while a recent audit showed corruption tied to taxpayer-funded grant programs.

The daycare and food-distribution sites allegedly did not provide childcare or serve food, but instead used the federal funds they received to launder money.

A state audit found limited monitoring of grant programs within the Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Administration, which distributed hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding to mental health and addiction services.

The Trump administration froze multiple federal funding streams to Minnesota, including certain funding from the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

However, a federal judge on Friday temporarily halted the Trump administration from freezing about $10 billion in federal funding to five Democratic-led states.

Bessent said the fraud continues, pointing to a recent finding in which a convicted fraudster allegedly attempted to bribe a juror.

Trump says US is making moves to acquire Greenland ‘whether they like it or not’

President Donald Trump warned Friday during a meeting with nearly two dozen oil executives that Russia and China will not move in on the nations of Venezuela or Greenland on his watch.

“We are going to do something on Greenland, whether they like it or not,” Trump said Friday. “Because if we don’t do it, Russia or China will take over Greenland, and we’re not going to have Russia or China as a neighbor.”

Trump’s comments came as he hosted nearly two dozen oil executives at the White House to discuss investments in Venezuela after the capture of dictatorial president Nicolás Maduro Saturday morning.

“We don’t want to have Russia there,” Trump said of Venezuela Friday when asked if the nation appears to be an ally to the U.S. “We don’t want to have China there. And, by the way, we don’t want Russia or China going to Greenland, which, if we don’t take Greenland, you can have Russia or China as your next-door neighbor. That’s not going to happen.”

SENATE DEM JOHN FETTERMAN SUPPORTS PROSPECT OF US GREENLAND PURCHASE, CITING ‘MASSIVE STRATEGIC BENEFITS’

Trump added that he would like to make a deal with Denmark, saying, “if we don’t do it the easy way, we’re going to do it the hard way.”

Greenland is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark.

“And, by the way, I’m a fan of Denmark, too, I have to tell you. … But, you know, the fact that they had a boat land there 500 years ago doesn’t mean that they own the land. I’m sure we had lots of boats go there also,” he said.

The U.S. military carried out a successful operation in Veneuzla Saturday morning, capturing Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, on sweeping narco-terrorism conspiracy and drug trafficking charges.

The operation was swiftly followed by Trump puttinganyone who would threaten American sovereignty or endanger American lives” on notice. Trump has for years floated the U.S. acquiring Greenland due to its strategic position between North America and Europe in the Arctic Circle, and he was pressed about revisiting such plans after the Venezuela operation.

Both nations are also rich in resources, including oil and rare earths. Trump defended the desire to own Greenland even when the U.S. already has a military presence on the island, saying, “When we own it, we defend it.”

US MAY BE INVOLVED IN VENEZUELA FOR YEARS, TRUMP SAYS

“We need Greenland from a national security situation. It’s so strategic. Right now. Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place,” Trump said from Air Force One Sunday as he traveled back to Washington from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

China has shown a growing ambition in the Arctic, including publishing its first Arctic policy white paper in 2018, when it labeled itself a “near-Arctic state.” Greenland played a pivotal role during the Cold War because it was along the shortest routes between North America and the Soviet Union and conducted missile detection.

“If you take a look outside of Greenland right now, there are Russian destroyers, there are Chinese destroyers and bigger. There are Russian submarines all over the place. We’re not going to have Russia or China occupy Greenland, and that’s what they’re going to do if we don’t. So, we’re going to be doing something with Greenland either the nice way or the more difficult way,” he added.

Trump told the media Sunday that “we’ll worry about Greenland in about two months,” but global discussions surrounding the Danish territory have intensified since.

European leaders, including in Denmark, have recoiled at Trump’s calls to acquire Greenland, arguing that NATO allies work together to ensure the Arctic is secure.

WHITE HOUSE SAYS US WILL SHAPE VENEZUELA’S FUTURE AS TRUMP EMBRACES ‘AMERICAN DOMINANCE’

Arctic security must be “achieved collectively, in conjunction with NATO allies, including the United States, by upholding the principles of the U.N. Charter, including sovereignty, territorial integrity and the inviolability of borders. These are universal principles, and we will not stop defending them,” the top leaders from the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Denmark said in a joint statement.

“Greenland belongs to its people. It is for Denmark and Greenland, and them only, to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland.”

Trump added Friday that “NATO has got to understand” that “we’re not going to allow Russia or China to occupy Greenland, and that’s what’s going to happen if we don’t.”

Indiana stuns sports world with a chance to do something no team has done in 100 years

The 2025 Indiana Hoosiers became the fifth team in modern college football history to go 15-0. Now they can become the first team of the modern era to ever go 16-0, and only the second of all-time, joining an 1894 Yale team that played with leather helmets.

With a merciless 56-22 thumping of Oregon in the Peach Bowl, the Hoosiers punched their ticket to their first national championship game appearance in program history.

Head coach Curt Cignetti has left the college football world breathless with a dramatic turnaround of the Hoosiers program, going from one of the losingest teams in the Big 10 to potentially the most dominant single-season of all time.

Many prominent sports figures took to social media to express their amazement of Indiana’s unprecedented dominance during and after their win over Oregon. Indiana Gov. Mike Braun also chimed in.

Indiana’s Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw five touchdown passes, improving his case to be the top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Kaelon Black ran for two touchdowns to lead the Indiana running game.

INDIANA WINS FIRST OUTRIGHT BIG 10 FOOTBALL TITLE SINCE 1945 AFTER OHIO STATE FLUBS SHORT FIELD GOAL TRY

Oregon (13-2, No. 5 CFP) was doomed by the three first-half turnovers while also being short-handed by the absence of two of their top running backs.

Indiana’s defense didn’t wait long to make an impact. On Oregon’s first snap, cornerback D’Angelo Ponds intercepted Moore’s pass intended for Malik Benson and returned the pick 25 yards for a touchdown. Only 11 seconds into the game, the Hoosiers and their defense already had made a statement this would be a long night for Moore and the Oregon offense.

Moore’s 19-yard scoring pass to tight end Jamari Johnson tied the game. The remainder of the half belonged to Indiana and its big-play defense.

After Mendoza’s 8-yard touchdown pass to Omar Cooper Jr. gave the Hoosiers the lead for good at 14-7, Indiana’s defense forced a turnover when Moore fumbled and Indiana recovered at the Oregon 3, setting up Black’s scoring run.

Moore lost a second fumble later in the second quarter when hit by Daniel Ndukwe and Mario Landino recovered at the Oregon 21. Mendoza’s first scoring pass to Sarratt gave the Hoosiers’ the 35-7 lead.

Indiana extended its lead to 42-7 on Mendoza’s 13-yard scoring pass to E.J. Williams Jr.

Oregon finally answered. A 70-yard run by Hill set up a 2-yard scoring run by Harris.

The Hoosiers led 35-7 at halftime as the Ducks were held to nine rushing yards on 17 carries. Noah Whittington, who leads Oregon with 829 rushing yards, was held out with an undisclosed injury after Jordon Davison, who had rushed for 667 yards and 15 touchdowns, already was listed as out with a collarbone injury.

Backup running backs, including Jay Harris and Dierre Hill Jr, provided too little help for quarterback Dante Moore. Moore’s task against Indiana’s stifling defense would have been daunting even with all his weapons.

Following their undefeated regular season, the Hoosiers have only gained momentum in the CFP. Indiana overwhelmed Alabama 38-3 in the Rose Bowl quarterfinal as Mendoza passed for 192 yards and three touchdowns.

Now, the Hoosiers will prepare to face Miami on Jan. 19 in the national championship game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Miami beat Mississippi 31-27 in the Fiesta Bowl semifinal on Thursday night.

Indiana will try to give the Big Ten its third straight national title, following Ohio State and Michigan the last two seasons. Few teams from any conference can compare with the Hoosiers’ season-long demonstration of balanced strong play.

The country will be watching to see if this unprecedented team can finish the job and really punch their ticket into the history books.

McDonald’s is betting on bigger burgers, viral menu hacks and nostalgia to drive traffic in 2026, according to reports.

The fast-food giant is rolling out high-profile menu changes this year, including its biggest burger ever, an official “secret menu” and a Pokémon partnership, though not all the updates are expected to come to the United States.

McDonald’s has made the Big Arch — a massive double-patty burger — a permanent menu item in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The item features two beef patties, three slices of cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and a new tangy Big Arch sauce on a poppy and sesame seed bun, according to a news release.

MCRIB RETURNS TO MOST MCDONALD’S MENUS AS FANS CHEER AND CRITICS GROAN

McDonald’s may be preparing for a U.S. rollout, according to the Daily Mail, but the company has not publicly confirmed when or if the Big Arch will launch nationwide.

When asked about its plans, McDonald’s declined to comment to Fox News Digital.

So far, fans aren’t happy about the new pricing.

When the Big Arch became a permanent menu item overseas, its price rose from £7.99 to £8.79 — roughly $10 to $11 — with a medium meal costing more than £10, or around $13, according to The Sun.

“It was the messiest burger I’ve ever had.”

“It’s all a rip-off,” exclaimed one person on a social media post, responding to the announcement of the new item on the Instagram account Snackolator.

Other critics have given mixed reviews of the new Big Arch sauce, which some say doesn’t compare to the classic Big Mac version, as well as the overall flavor.

WORLD’S OLDEST MCDONALD’S QUARTER POUNDER TURNS 30 AND IS STILL ‘EERILY INTACT’

“It was the messiest burger I’ve ever had,” an Instagram user said, adding that it was overall “decent.”

“It’s very onion forward,” commented someone else.

Another part of McDonald’s international release is a “secret menu” that turns viral social media food hacks into limited-time offerings, according to a news release, though no U.S. rollout has been confirmed.

“Some of these mash-ups shouldn’t work, but they are weirdly good and need to be tried to be believed,” Ben Fox, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for McDonald’s in the U.K. and Ireland, said in a statement.

“This limited-time lineup celebrates the creativity of our customers that we see every day on social media.”

Something that could be headed to the U.S., meanwhile, is a Pokémon-themed Happy Meal tied to the 30th anniversary that the gaming franchise is celebrating this year, according to reports.

The collaboration has not been officially confirmed, but The Street reported that the limited-time promotion could include themed packaging and Pokémon trading cards.

The strategy reflects McDonald’s broader push to lean on nostalgia and popular partnerships to drive traffic and loyalty at a time when consumers are growing more cautious about spending, the outlet reported, citing a recent earnings call.

Shawn Johnson remembers the night she took her infant son to an emergency room

The American gymnastics hero who won Olympic gold on the balance beam at the 2008 Beijing games was suddenly the mother of a very young patient.

“He was 1. It took a turn for the worst very quickly. We ended up in the ER. He was struggling with his breathing,” Johnson told Fox News Digital.

Her son, Jett James East, had respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), a highly contagious virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages. Her first-born, daughter Drew Hazel East, caught a lighter version of it at a young age but never needed to go to the hospital.

Then, when Johnson got pregnant with her third child, she learned of a troubling timeline.

“I found out that he was due in peak RSV season around the holidays. I still had two babies at home, a lot of people coming over for the holidays,” she said.

Johnson was staring down an urgent mission to address the virus plaguing her children.

A friend she had met on social media, Dr. Mona Amin, became a source of guidance alongside her family’s normal pediatrician.

“RSV can look so different in everyone. … It presented very differently in her two different children,” Amin told Fox News Digital.

HIDDEN INFECTION KILLS MILLIONS OF CHILDREN EACH YEAR AS DOCTORS WARN OF OVERLOOKED SYMPTOMS

“We first met last year, and we just really connected over business, motherhood, asking me questions on the side about the medical stuff.”

Johnson says Amin gave her advice that was similar to her pediatrician’s.

One of the solutions that came out of meetings with both was the use of a drug called Beyfortus, an antibody injection given to newborns and young children to help treat RSV. It was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration July 17, 2023.

Johnson’s message to any other parents concerned about RSV affecting their child is to “talk to your pediatrician.”

“Education is so much better than none at all,” she added.

The former gymnastics star has come out of her family’s battle against RSV with a new obsession for fighting off illnesses in her children. It has even changed her reading habits.

“I used to read ‘Harry Potter’ novels, now I read parenting novels. I read all about viruses and psychiatry. The biggest lifestyle adjustment for me is that it’s my job to protect them. And I need to arm myself with knowledge,” Johnson said.

“The amount of attention if you were a pro athlete or an athlete that you put into your body in your career is the same amount of attention that you should put toward your children. No child is the same. We’ve talked about this a lot. Every single child has different needs. … I think it’s our job as parents to really find what those are.”

Dem narrative challenged after DHS exposes alleged identity of ‘married couple’ in shooting

As new protests erupt and Democrats express outrage over another shooting involving an immigration agent in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is setting the record straight on the two victims’ suspected gang affiliation.

In a Friday X post, DHS said that the two shooting victims, Luis David Nico Moncada and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras, are Venezuelan criminal illegal aliens and suspected members of the foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua (TdA).

According to the agency, Moncada and Zambrano-Contreras were shot by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent after the two attempted to run him and others over with their vehicle.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:19 p.m. local time, when Border Patrol agents stopped a vehicle and identified themselves as law enforcement, DHS said.

“[Thursday], two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates—let loose on American streets by Joe Biden—weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland,” DHS wrote, explaining that “the agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them.”

TWO WOUNDED IN PORTLAND SHOOTING INVOLVING FEDERAL AGENTS AFTER DHS SAYS VEHICLE ‘WEAPONIZED’ AGAINST THEM

Both individuals fled the scene and were later found by Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officers and administered first aid and taken to a hospital.

According to DHS, Moncada, who was driving the vehicle, entered the U.S. illegally in 2022, and was released into the country by the Biden administration. In addition to his suspected TdA affiliation, Moncada has been previously arrested for driving under the influence and unauthorized use of a vehicle, per DHS. He has a final order of removal.

Zambrano-Contreras, the passenger, also entered the U.S. illegally in the El Paso, Texas, area in 2023. DHS said she was released into the country by the Biden administration.

The agency said that Zambrano-Contreras has “played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring” and was previously involved in a shooting in Portland.

DHS called reporting that the two injured were a married couple “REVOLTING LIES,” writing in a separate X post that “the two criminal illegal aliens who attacked Border Patrol in Portland are a gang member and his prostitute, NOT an innocent ‘married couple.’”

PORTLAND AGITATORS CLASH WITH POLICE AFTER 2 SHOT BY FEDERAL IMMIGRATION AGENT

PPB Chief Bob Day confirmed during a news conference Friday that both individuals had ties to TdA.

“What I can say is there is an association with the two folks [Thursday] and TdA,” he said. “I hesitated to even share this information initially, because I’m very aware of the historic, injustice of victim blaming oftentimes portrayed by law enforcement.”

Day emphasized thatthis in no way draws a through line to the actions or the behaviors that occurred [Thursday].”

Leading Democrats were quick to condemn federal law enforcement after the shooting on Thursday.

Following the incident, Portland Mayor Keith Wilson called on ICE to “halt all operations” in the city until a full and independent investigation can take place.

“We know what the federal government says happened here,” Wilson said Thursday. “There was a time when we could take them at their word. That time has long passed.”

Wilson added that ICE agents and DHS leadership “must fully be investigated and held responsible for the violence inflicted on the American people in Minnesota, in Portland, and in all the communities across America.”

Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek reacted to the shooting, claiming it was “instigated by the reckless agenda of the Trump administration.”

“While the details of the incident remain limited, one thing is very clear: when a president endorses tearing families apart and attempts to govern through fear and hate rather than shared values, you foster an environment of lawlessness and recklessness,” she said.

Kotek said Oregon’s attorney general and other leaders have raised concerns about the excessive use of force by federal agents in Portland, adding that “today’s incident only heightens the need for transparency and accountability.”

CROCKETT WARNS OF NATIONWIDE PROTESTS OVER ICE SHOOTING: ‘STATE-SANCTIONED EXECUTION’

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., reacted to the shooting on X, blaming the Trump administration for “inflaming violence.”

“I’m monitoring the first awful reports of two people shot in Portland by federal law enforcement,” Wyden wrote in the post. “I’ll keep you updated, but Trump’s deployment of federal agents in my hometown is clearly inflaming violence–and must end.”

This comes on the heels of anti-ICE protester Renee Nicole Good being fatally shot in Minneapolis in similar circumstances.

The Trump administration has said that while obstructing immigration enforcement operations, Good attempted to run over an ICE agent who fired in self-defense, resulting in Good later being pronounced dead.

Both shootings have led to mass anti-ICE protests across the country and strong condemnations by many leading Democrats.
