Scandal-plagued Dem mayor has meltdown after losing historic township caucus
Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard will be losing some of her political power after a historic caucus Tuesday night.
The Illinois “super mayor” lost the Democratic nomination for Thornton Township supervisor, a position Henyard currently holds. Henyard’s name was not even on the ballot because she did not have a certified assessor on her ticket. All nominees are required to have eight people on their slate: supervisor, highway director, clerk, assessor, and four trustees.
Instead, Illinois state senator and Thornton Township Democratic committeeman Napoleon Harris overwhelmingly won the nomination. The caucus and its results enraged Henyard later that night.
“You didn’t run none of this the right way,” Henyard was heard saying after the caucus. “Illegal, Napoleon.”
CONTROVERSIAL DEMOCRAT MAYOR UNDER INVESTIGATION AFTER WILD TIRADES, POLICE RAIDS, LAVISH SPENDING
As committeeman, Harris made the decision to move from a primary to a caucus, the first caucus Thornton Township’s Democratic Party has had in decades. The party also announced that night that supervisor nominees cannot run for other positions.
Harris denied the process was unfair and insisted voters had their say.
“People in Thornton Township may be new to caucuses because they haven’t had them in a while, but this has been the tradition for many other townships around the state,” Harris said.
Henyard can still be on the ballot in April for Thornton Township supervisor as a write-in or independent candidate, but so far, she has not shown any indication of running that way. However, after losing the nomination, Henyard was heard shouting that she would be suing everyone involved in the process.
Fox News Digital reached out to Mayor Henyard’s office for comment.
Henyard is currently running for re-election as Dolton mayor as she faces several ongoing scandals for allegedly embezzling funds and politically targeting her opponents. Her office also faced an investigation by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
ILLINOIS GOV ADDRESSES SCANDAL-RIDDEN ‘SUPER MAYOR’ TIFFANY HENYARD: WE SUPPORT INVESTIGATIONS
Lightfoot’s investigation into the Village of Dolton’s financial situation revealed in a preliminary report that Dolton’s general fund balance was $5.61 million in 2022, but by May 2024 the balance had dropped to a deficit of $3.65 million.
Lightfoot also disclosed that Henyard used the village credit card to make purchases at Amazon, Target, Walgreens, Wayfair and other retailers. One jaw-dropping statement revealed that the embattled mayor had dropped $33,000 on Jan. 5, 2023, on Amazon.

Eyewitness shares new details about health care CEO’s killer: ‘He was here the whole night’
Newly obtained video shows the moment UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot and killed at close range in midtown Manhattan Wednesday morning, outside the Hilton Hotel.
In the chilling video obtained by Fox News Digital, Thompson is seen walking down a New York City sidewalk when a masked man wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and a backpack walks up behind him and raises a handgun with glove-covered hands.
The culprit fires off several shots. At one point, the gun appears to jam. The assailant then appears to smack the gun on the side while walking toward the victim, who is attempting to get away.
As he gets closer to Thompson, the man appears to continue to struggle with the pistol, possibly firing off one more round at the victim who appears to be struggling to move.
UNITEDHEALTHCARE CEO FATALLY SHOT OUTSIDE MANHATTAN HOTEL IN ‘TARGETED’ ATTACK, SUSPECT AT LARGE
A terrorized pedestrian is seen fleeing as the shooting happens just feet away.
The culprit then walked between two vehicles, got onto a bike then disappeared into Central Park, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) said.
It was previously reported that the suspect used a Citibike – which can be tracked – but the NYPD has clarified that the incident did not involve that type of bike.
The suspect remains at large. The NYPD released new images of the suspect Wednesday afternoon.
The NYPD also released surveillance footage of the alleged suspect making a stop at a Starbucks.
HACKERS BEHIND UNITEDHEALTH GROUP CYBERATTACK REPORTEDLY IDENTIFIED
The suspect waited at a nearby corner all night until the executive walked by, according to a witness.
The witness told reporters he heard three shots as he was parking a car in the area.
“I heard three shots, yeah, and then when I looked, there’s a man down,” the witness said, adding that the shooter then crossed the street and ran. “He’s a white male all in black, with a backpack.
“The guy was here, in the corner, the whole night,” the witness noted.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul released a statement on Wednesday afternoon.
“Earlier today I was briefed by the Superintendent of the New York State Police on the horrific and targeted shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan,” Hochul said. “I directed the State Police to provide NYPD with any necessary assistance with the investigation to ensure the safety of all New Yorkers. Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of Mr. Thompson and we are committed to ensuring the perpetrator is brought to justice.”
New York City Crimestoppers is offering a combined reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

Eerie videos emerge showing unusual drone activity near Trump’s golf club
Authorities are still investigating mysterious drone activity observed several times in northern New Jersey in recent days, including the vicinity of President-elect Trump’s Bedminster golf club.
Multiple videos show drones flying in Somerset and Morris counties over the past few weeks, including Dec. 1 and Dec. 3. In a video from Nov. 25, a Morris County resident named Mike Walsh spotted drones flying over Black River Middle School in Chester.
“I can see three drones right in this view,” Walsh says in the video. “I see them coming right this way.”
The Morris County border is two miles north of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, which is located in Somerset County. Drone sightings were also spotted in Bernardsville, Mendham and Parsippany, among other Garden State towns.
NEW YORK JUDGE GRANTS TRUMP REQUEST TO FILE MOTION TO DISMISS CHARGES, CANCELS SENTENCING INDEFINITELY
On Tuesday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed to Fox News Digital that an unusual drone was spotted in northern and central New Jersey skies Nov. 18.
In response, the FAA issued two temporary flight restrictions. One of the flight restrictions involves the airspace above the Trump property and is in place until the end of this week.
“At the request of federal security partners, the FAA published two temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) prohibiting drone flights over Picatinny Arsenal Military Base and Trump National Golf Club Bedminster,” the agency said.
The flight restriction affecting Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. Army research center, will last until Dec. 26.
TRUMP NOMINATES KASH PATEL TO SERVE AS FBI DIRECTOR: ‘ADVOCATE FOR TRUTH’
“Safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System is a key priority for the FAA,” the FAA told Fox News Digital. “We look into all reports of unauthorized drone operations and investigate when appropriate.”
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital Wednesday it was investigating the incident in tandem with other agencies. Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI Newark field office, the New Jersey State Police and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for additional information.

Lawmakers vote to oust PM, plunging one of America’s closest allies into crisis
The French National Assembly passed a vote of no-confidence on Wednesday, effectively collapsing the current government.
A total of 331 members voted in favor of the motion, exceeding the 288 votes needed. The vote comes shortly after Prime Minister Michel Barnier was appointed by President Emmanuel Macron in September.
Barnier is now expected to resign just a mere three months into holding his position. The conservative leader will be the shortest-serving prime minister in French history.
“As this mission may soon come to an end, I can tell you that it will remain an honor for me to have served France and the French with dignity,” Barnier said shortly before the vote.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL TO REOPEN, BRACES FOR INFLUX OF TOURISTS AFTER DEVASTATING FIRE
Macron intends to serve until his term ends in 2027, despite pressure from both sides of the aisle for him to resign. If he stays in office, he will need to appoint a new prime minister for the second time.
The no-confidence vote, which was prompted by budget disputes, was a result of far-right and far-left French lawmakers banding together against the current government.
The snap legislative elections held in July drastically changed power dynamics in parliament, as the centrist Ensemble coalition lost a multitude of seats to the New Popular Front leftist coalition.
FRENCH PM TO RESIGN AS LEFTISTS NAB PLURALITY OF PARLIAMENTARY SEATS IN SNAP ELECTION
In a post on X published on Wednesday, National Rally leader Marine Le Pen expressed a desire to work with the next prime minister.
“We have been constructive from the start, and we will be with the next Prime Minister who will be required to propose a new budget,” Le Pen’s post, which was translated into English, read. “What we want is for our voters to be respected and their demands heard.”
The far-right politician also denied that she is explicitly asking Macron to resign.

“On the other hand, there will come a time when, if we do not take the path of respect for voters and elections, then the pressure on the President of the Republic will be increasingly strong,” she said. “This decision is his.”
Tennis legend ‘mad’ that GOP ‘captured’ the issue of trans athletes in women’s sports
Martina Navratilova has long been outspoken about transgender athletes in girls’ and women’s sports.
In a new post on X, the tennis legend said she was “mad” that Republicans have tackled the nationwide controversy, rather than Democrats, the party which she has aligned with.
Navratilova shared a photo of Congresswoman Nancy Mace, R-S.C., with members of Gays Against Groomers, holding up a shirt that read “Save Girls’ Sports.”

“And I am so mad that the Republicans captured this issue – shame on all the elected Democrats who keep silent on this!!! #whataboutthewomen,” she wrote on X.
This is not the first time Navratilova has ripped the left for their different views on the issue. The tennis legend appeared at the Independent Women’s Forum’s “Take Back Title IX” rally in June as she and other prominent women athletes pushed back on the Biden administration’s Title IX rewrite.
Navratilova said that she and her fellow Democrats tried to make the playing field fair for transgender athletes to compete in women’s sports. However, when she did more research, she determined it was an impossible task.
TRANS FEMALE WEIGHTLIFTER TAKES USA POWERLIFTING LAWSUIT TO MINNESOTA SUPREME COURT
“Initially, being the Democrats and the women that we are for the most part, we in this group were trying to find every single possible way to include trans-identified men, males who identify as women, into women’s sports,” she said. “And the more we try to find a way to mitigate the advantage, to handicap, to somehow to include, the more we figured out it’s not possible. It’s not possible to do it in a fair way and here we are in a much different position.
“As I got deeper into the issue, I also saw the connection between women’s sex-based spaces and women’s sports – they are totally interconnected, and I’m sure the swimmers at Penn could tell you all about that. You heard about Lia Thomas, right?”
“Now, it’s, ‘Oh, you’re a homophobe.’ Go figure. I’ve been out since ’81, yeah, I’m a homophobe,” she said, rolling her eyes. “‘You’re a bigot, you’re a transphobe, you’re a Nazi, you’re a fascist, you’re a communist,’ everything and everything in between. And this is coming from the left. I am the left! My people are turning on me. They’re turning on us, women, who speak up for women’s sex-based rights.”

Navratilova recently called Italian sprinter Valentina Petrillo, who competed in the Paralympics as a trans woman, a “pathetic cheater.” In March, she made a plea to “keep women’s sports female.”
Prince Harry addresses speculation about marriage with Meghan Markle
Prince Harry addressed speculation surrounding his marriage with Meghan Markle during a summit in New York on Tuesday.
Harry, 40, detailed a range of topics, including interest in the royal’s personal life, during the 35-minute sit-down with columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin as part of The New York Times Dealbook Summit 2024 at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Chatter about the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes union peaked recently when the pair began appearing separately at events, with royal experts believing divorce was imminent for the pair.
KING CHARLES EXCLUDED PRINCE HARRY FROM CHRISTMAS, FEELS SON MAKES ‘TOO MANY DEMANDS’: EXPERT
“I Google News-ed you, and there were people fascinated by everything you’re doing, all the time. They’re fascinated by Meghan, who is in California right now, and you’re here,” Sorkin said.
PRINCE HARRY ‘BATTLING OLD DEMONS’ AS KING CHARLES FEARS REUNITING COULD CREATE ‘LEGAL JEOPARDY’: EXPERTS
“There’s articles left and right about, you know, why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?”
Prince Harry replied, “Because you invited me, you should have known.”
He added, “You should have known this was going to happen.”
When Sorkin asked if it was a “good thing” that there was so much interest in the couple, Harry admitted it was “definitely not a good thing,” citing rumors he’d heard about him and his wife.

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times,” he said. “We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?'”
The Duke of Sussex did have remorse for people who believed the hype that his marriage was somehow suffering.
“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?'”
“It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls,” he said. “Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”
Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, recently told Fox News Digital, that it remains to be seen if the Sussexes were working separately or working toward a separation.
“Last summer, Rolling Stone ran the story, ‘Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are in Their Flop Era,’” she explained. “The Sussexes have accomplished nothing significant since. Are they still technically in their flop era?”

“I am not going to applaud Prince Harry for successfully networking… I have higher expectations than that,” she said. “But if we continue to see Prince Harry work away from Meghan after the new year, I think it’s fair to debate what a professional divorce means for the couple personally.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from senior royal responsibilities and moved to California in 2020, nearly two years after they married at Windsor Castle.
Meghan and Harry, who have two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are both expected to attend the Paley Center for Media event Tuesday night in Los Angeles in honor of Tyler Perry.

NFL star reportedly needs ‘significant’ surgery after illegal hit
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence will require surgery to repair an AC joint injury in his left shoulder, according to NFL.com.
Lawrence initially injured his shoulder in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles and missed two games before returning Sunday against the Houston Texans. He was the victim of an illegal hit by Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair that landed him on season-ending injured reserve.
The hit incited a brief but intense melee between the two teams after Al-Shaair was flagged on the play and later dealt a three-game suspension without pay.
Lawrence’s fourth NFL season ended after a disappointing 2-10 start. It’s the second year in a row Lawrence has injured his shoulder.

Last season, he sustained a shoulder injury in a 30–12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16. He missed the team’s next game, the first he had missed in his career due to injury. He had only missed games in college at Clemson when he tested positive for COVID in 2020.
Lawrence, who signed a $275 million contract extension with the Jaguars in the offseason, will undergo the second major surgery of his life. He previously had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder before he was drafted first overall in 2021.
NFL ALL-PRO DEFENDER SEES ‘BOTH SIDES’ OF TREVOR LAWRENCE HIT: ‘IT’S TRICKY’
The hit has become one of the most controversial moments of the 2024 NFL season, prompting backlash against Al-Shaair and sparking conversations about player safety among current and former players like Tom Brady and Stephon Gilmore.
Al-Shaair has apologized for the hit and insisted it wasn’t intentional. The linebacker appealed his suspension, but the NFL upheld it.
Al-Shaair also spoke out against “racist and Islamophobic fans” in the aftermath of the public response to the incident.
“I’ve always played the game as hard as I could. Never with the intent to harm anyone and anybody that knows me knows that. My goal is to hit you as hard as I can then I pray you’re still able to get up and play the next play,” he said in a statement. “And when the game is over go home to your family unharmed because it’s not personal! It’s just competition. We both are trying to do the same thing which is provide for our families!
“I genuinely didn’t see him sliding until it was too late. And it all happens in the blink of an eye. To Trevor I genuinely apologize to you for what ended up happening. Before the game we spoke and I told you how it was great to see you back out on the field and wished you well. I would never want to see any player hurt because of a hit I put on them especially one that’s deemed ‘late’ or ‘unnecessary.’ To the rest of his teammates I can definitely understand you having his back and defending him in a situation like that.”

Al-Shaair was fined earlier this year after he punched Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson on the sideline during a Week 2 game. The incident occurred during a scuffle that started after Al-Shaair’s hard shot on Bears quarterback Caleb Williams near the sideline wasn’t flagged.
The hit against Lawrence Sunday resulted in multiple Jaguars players pouncing on Al-Shaair in retaliation, leading to the violent melee.
Jaguars tight end Evan Engram was the first player seen pushing and shoving Al-Shaair after the hit before other Jacksonville players followed.
Head coach Doug Pederson defended his team Wednesday for its response.
“We’re not out to hurt anybody. We’re not out to ruin careers. We’re out to win a football game and play hard within the rules. That’s our job. That’s how we coach it, that’s how we play it,” Pederson said at a team press conference.
“If they’re asking or suggesting we go after someone, we’re not doing that. Flat out, we are not doing that. It’s not how I coach. It’s not how I’m going to coach these teams, these players. We’re just going to go out and do our jobs. Play hard, play fast, play physical within the rules.”
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans suggested Lawrence should share responsibility for the hit.
“We stand behind Azeez and everything that came from that,” Ryans said. “Of course, unfortunate hit on a quarterback, but it’s two-fold. A lot of the quarterbacks in this day and age, they try to take advantage of the rule where they slide late, and they try to get an extra yard.
“Now, you’re a defender, and a lot of onus is on the defender. … Unfortunate that Trevor got hurt. We hope Trevor’s OK. But, also, if we’re sliding, you have to get down.”
Hunter Biden snapped leaving fast-food joint in first photos after dad’s pardon
First son Hunter Biden was spotted on camera for the first time since his father, President Biden, pardoned him, smiling for the cameras as he picked up a fast-food order in California.
Hunter was seen on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Barbara sporting a T-shirt, jeans and baseball cap while picking up food from an Arby’s.
The media was heard asking Hunter in a short video outside the restaurant if he had any comment on the pardon. The first son did not respond, and instead was seen hopping into the back of an SUV while flanked by security.
The photos and video come after President Biden announced Sunday evening that he would spare his son from being sentenced in a pair of separate court cases in which Hunter was found guilty of illegally purchasing a gun and failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes. Biden cited in his statement that Hunter’s convictions were politically motivated and a “miscarriage of justice.”
2 TIMES BIDEN SAID HE WOULD NOT PARDON SON HUNTER BIDEN
“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Biden wrote in a statement. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.”
He continued: “It is clear that Hunter was treated differently. The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election. Then, a carefully negotiated plea deal, agreed to by the Department of Justice, unraveled in the court room — with a number of my political opponents in Congress taking credit for bringing political pressure on the process. Had the plea deal held, it would have been a fair, reasonable resolution of Hunter’s cases.”
BIDEN PARDONS SON HUNTER BIDEN AHEAD OF EXIT FROM OVAL OFFICE
“I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice — and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision,” he added.
The pardon stands in stark contrast to what the president said earlier this year, vowing he would not pardon his son both before and after Hunter was found guilty in a June gun trial.
WHO ELSE MIGHT BIDEN PARDON AFTER HE SPARED HUNTER FROM SENTENCING?
“I am not going to do anything,” Biden said after Hunter was convicted in the gun case. “I will abide by the jury’s decision.”
Hunter was found guilty on June 11 of lying about his drug use when buying a gun in 2018. He was found guilty on three charges — making a false statement in the purchase of a gun, making a false statement related to information required to be kept by a federally licensed gun dealer and possession of a gun by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance.
Hunter has an extensive and well-documented history of addiction, which was best captured in his 2021 memoir “Beautiful Things,” which walked readers through his spirals of crack cocaine use.

Hunter faced another trial regarding three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses over his alleged failure to pay at least $1.4 million in taxes in a California court in September. As jury selection was about to kick off in Los Angeles federal court, Hunter entered a surprise guilty plea.
