Iran’s ‘death by 1,000 cuts’ strategy backfires, ex-special ops soldier says

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

A former U.S. special operations soldier told Fox News Iran’s strategy of incrementally eroding its enemies’ forces has become ineffective, and the United States signaled it will not engage in what he calls “nuclear roulette.”

Iran’s campaign of attacks across the Middle East and beyond has hit at least 12 countries, raising concerns the regime could be intentionally prolonging the war.

“Iran’s strategy has always been this death by a thousand cuts. Launch a few drones here, arm a proxy militia there, threaten shipping lanes somewhere else,” Brett Velicovich said Thursday on “The Faulkner Focus.”

“But that strategy only works if the United States hesitates,” he added, arguing that the United States has responded reservedly in the past.

“But we are done abandoning our red lines, and it’s clear our leadership is no longer going to play nuclear roulette with this regime. … We’re watching the entire chessboard,” he said. “We’re prepared to respond wherever American interests are threatened.”

FORMER TOP GUN PILOT DECLARES IRAN MILITARY ‘OVER WITH’ AMID US AIR SUPERIORITY, BUT WARNS OF ANOTHER DANGER

Velicovich made his comments as U.S. forces launch precision strikes on Iranian missile infrastructure.

Rather than sending neighbors into a tailspin, Velicovich said Tehran’s attempt at regional escalation has instead unified adversaries and triggered a more forceful response.

Iran has fired on Israel, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Cyprus and Bahrain, among others.

Fox News chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin said Thursday on “The Faulkner Focus” that the seemingly erratic strikes support Iran’s strategy of widening the war and forcing its adversaries to burn through limited supplies of high-tech missile interceptors and raise oil prices by threatening ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

“This is not a country defending itself anymore,” Velicovich said. “It’s a regime exporting chaos in every direction. It’s a regime full of psychopaths that should not exist in modern society.”

The United States and Israel on Saturday launched strikes targeting Iran’s leadership, including its Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed. Iran’s missile arsenal and nuclear facilities were also hit in the campaign, dubbed Operation Epic Fury.

Iran has carried out retaliatory strikes since then, with the latest wave coming one day after the United States sank an Iranian warship, killing at least 87 Iranian sailors.

Kristi Noem ousted from Homeland Security post amid recent turmoil

Kristi Noem, the former South Dakota congresswoman and governor who has led President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security in his second term, was ousted from her position on Thursday.

Trump announced on Truth Social that he will nominate Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., to replace Noem, effective March 31.

“The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at ‘Homeland.’”

In her first official statement on X following her departure, Noem thanked Trump for her upcoming appointment.

“Secretary [Marco] Rubio and Secretary of War [Pete Hegseth] are incredible leaders and I look forward to working with them closely to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our children and grandchildren.”

“The western hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over the last 13 months as Secretary of Homeland Security. We have made historic accomplishments at the Department of Homeland Security to make America safe again: we delivered the MOST secure border in American history, 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S., we have located 145,000 children, FEMA delivered disaster relief at a 100% faster rate, we ushered in the golden age of travel, saved the American taxpayer $13 billion and revitalized the U.S. Coast Guard,” she added.

Trump said Mullin has done a “tremendous job” in Congress and cited his resume as a former undefeated MMA fighter.

“As the only Native American in the Senate, Markwayne is a fantastic advocate for our incredible Tribal Communities. Markwayne will work tirelessly to Keep our Border Secure, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, End the Scourge of Illegal Drugs and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN,” Trump said.

Mullin is the first Native American senator in decades, following Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell of Colorado. He appeared just as caught off guard by the announcement as the rest of Washington.

After dashing to vote for DHS funding, which ultimately failed again, and then sneaking through the back of the Senate, he held court on the steps outside the upper chamber. When asked if he was headed to the White House to meet with Trump, he said he wasn’t sure.

“I think I need to talk to my wife first,” Mullin said.

Mullin currently does not serve on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the panel that will be responsible for confirming him. But, he does have a strong relationship with Trump.

“I’ve got to be honest with you, I wasn’t expecting the call today, but I am super excited. And I’m more excited about just getting ready to get started,” Mullin said. “There’s a lot of work we can do to get our Homeland Security working, you know, working for the American people.”

Noem, 54, will likely be at least temporarily replaced by Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar, a Navy veteran and former mayor of Los Alamitos, California, in the line of succession for the agency.

Noem’s tenure marked a distinct reversal of the open-border policies permitted by predecessor Alejandro Mayorkas during the Biden administration, and DHS has notched record drug interdictions totaling more than half a million pounds of illegal drugs in her first year.

Her management of Trump’s mass deportation agenda has also led to more than 2 million reported self-deportations in 2025 and about 670,000 removals of illegal immigrants, a figure supporters have hailed as the most successful immigration enforcement operation in history.

Her agency has also been unafraid to hit back at high-profile critics, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom; Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.; Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz; and 2026 midterm candidate David Trone of Maryland, who accused DHS of “executing people in the streets” as he filmed a protest ad outside a Williamsport compound recently purchased for use as a detention facility.

Such criticisms of her mass deportation operations, particularly in Minneapolis, appeared to somewhat sour public sentiment on the administration’s handling of the immigration issue, as U.S. Border Patrol Cmdr. Gregory Bovino — a DHS subordinate — was replaced in the Twin Cities by border czar Tom Homan amid the firestorm.

Meanwhile, reports surfaced Thursday that Trump is “furious” with Noem over her performance in bicameral Judiciary Committee hearings this week, particularly over a contract for an advertisement that Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., and others grilled her on.

Trump reportedly took issue with her suggesting to Kennedy that he approved a taxpayer-funded ad subcontracted to a firm connected with her inner circle, according to National Review, which also reported that Mullin was being considered a top candidate for her replacement.

A White House official confirmed to Fox News that Trump did not know about the ad and did not approve it, despite her claims to the contrary at the hearings.

“It was a combination of her many unfortunate leadership failures. From [Minnesota] to the ad campaign to the allegations of an affair,” a source familiar with the situation told Fox News.

When confronted by reporters on the Capitol steps, Mullin indicated he had only short notice of Trump’s decision to pick him as Noem’s successor.

“No, the president and I still have to communicate so we’ll talk about it moving forward,” Mullin said. “The president and I have already talked – We have to talk to the president and get on the same page… I’ll talk to you all [later].”

In Wednesday’s House hearing, Noem was questioned by Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif., over rumors of an affair with DHS “special government employee” Corey Lewandowski, a top figure in Trump’s 2016 campaign.

TRUMP UNLOADS ON ‘RADICAL LEFT’ AS HE STANDS BY KRISTI NOEM AMID IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT UNREST

Noem criticized Kamlager-Dove in response, as her husband, insurance company owner and former South Dakota first gentleman Bryon Noem, sat just feet behind her.

Kamlager-Dove asked Noem if at any time during her tenure she had “sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski,” before slamming the longtime Trump aide as a “failed campaign manager” and someone lacking military experience.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., followed up, pressing Noem on Lewandowski while wearing a Justice for Cricket pin, referencing the dog Noem once wrote she had to euthanize on her farm.

“I really think you need to say the word ‘no’ into the record so that you can clear that up,” Moskowitz said.

Noem pushed back hard on both Democrats, saying what they were implying is “offensive” and telling Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, that she was “shocked that we’re going down and peddling this tabloid garbage in this committee today.”

“The socialist, liberal left: you go off and you attack conservative women and you say that we’re either stupid or we’re sluts. That’s what you do. And I will tell you sir… I am neither of those,” Noem fumed at Moskowitz.

Through the recent turmoil, many Republicans remained highly complimentary of Noem’s tenure.

When Swalwell pressed her on the ad campaign and contract, Noem shot back that while the Alameda Democrat was “focusing on photo-ops and luxury jets, I’m focused on the fact that the Coast Guard might not get paid because your party is choosing not to fund them.”

American basketball star wastes away in Indonesian prison over cannabis gummies

Jarred Shaw, a 35-year-old American basketball player who used to star for Oklahoma State and Utah State, remains locked up in an Indonesian prison, and his health is deteriorating as he tries desperately to return home to the States.

Shaw was arrested in May 2025 after what he called a “stupid mistake” to The Guardian, ordering a package of 132 cannabis gummies to his apartment in Indonesia. He was playing basketball in the country but was living in Thailand, where cannabis is legal, during the Indonesian Basketball League’s offseason.

However, Indonesia remains an extremely strict country with its drug laws, as around 276,000 people are imprisoned for a drug offense. And cannabis is considered the same as heroin and methamphetamine by the Indonesian government, regardless of its legal status in the U.S. and across many European countries.

The reason Shaw ordered so many gummies was due to his suffering from Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that affects the digestive tract. Cannabis has been known to alleviate tough symptoms of the disease, and he would secure it legally to do so.

But when the package went to his apartment in Indonesia, where he became a basketball star after spending seasons prior in Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Japan, among other countries, Shaw was publicly shamed following his arrest. He was paraded in front of Indonesian media wearing an orange prison shirt, and even faced the death penalty.

“I wish I could go back and change my actions, but it was definitely a relief to know I wasn’t getting the death penalty,” he told The Guardian.

While he avoided the harsh death penalty, Shaw remains in what he told USA TODAY is a room “no bigger than a typical New York City studio apartment” with 11 other inmates.

“I can wake up any moment and be hospitalized,” Shaw told the outlet, as Crohn’s disease can cause severe diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss and malnutrition. “Some days are better than others. It’s not where it needs to be. I still feel sick quite often. I am asking for sympathy, and hopefully a miracle can happen.”

Shaw told the outlet he has already lost 40 pounds from his 245-pound playing weight. Also, people with Crohn’s are at high risk for colorectal cancer.

In November 2025, Shaw was assessed by a doctor who found he was battling abdominal pain, mild anemia, and he tested positive for an E coli infection, causing diarrhea, bleeding and fever.

Shaw told The Guardian he isn’t getting proper nutrition, and the fried food he’s eating isn’t sitting well with his Crohn’s.

Four months after the doctor’s diagnosis, Shaw still hasn’t received the colonoscopy, an intestinal ultrasound, and other tests the medical professional recommended. It would require a minimum three-day stay in the hospital.

“We’re trying to get them to understand,” he said. “Even though there’s no cure for [Crohn’s], you have to treat it, or it could get worse. Hopefully someone with higher power can at least help me get to the hospital.”

Shaw told USA TODAY that he understands he committed a crime and didn’t know what the laws were in Indonesia. But he feels “what’s most important” is the fact he hasn’t gone to a hospital to treat his sickness, which was also brought up during his trial.

Shaw’s legal team is petitioning Indonesia’s minister of health to consider a compassionate release, pointing out his cooperation in court and lack of criminal record prior to arrest.

The State Department also made a comment on Shaw’s case.

“The Trump Administration has no higher priority than Americans’ safety and security,” a State Department spokesperson told a source close to Shaw. “We take seriously our commitment to assist Americans abroad, and the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is providing consular assistance to Jarred Shaw.”

The Vlasic Classic Foundation, which is committed to helping non-violent cannabis prisoners get out, partnered with Forgotten Prisoner in an effort to get Shaw back into the U.S. With the help of Forgotten Prisoner earlier, Shaw had his sentence reduced to 26 months in prison.

The Vlasic Classic Golf Tournament in Missouri this May will be raising money to help Shaw get funds needed to get him back overseas. Shaw, a Dallas native, played college basketball for Oklahoma State and Utah State. The 6-foot-10 forward saw more playing time with Utah State, averaging 28.3 minutes per game in 58 contests.

During his time with the Aggies, Shaw averaged 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.

Sunny Hostin confronted by GOP guest on whether she supported Obama’s Libya strikes

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a guest host on “The View” this week, confronted co-host Sunny Hostin on Thursday over former President Barack Obama launching airstrikes against Libya in 2011 as the liberal co-host has repeatedly called President Donald Trump’s actions in Iran “illegal.”

“So did you believe it was illegal in April of 2011, when the Office of Legal Counsel memo stated from President Obama that the president has constitutional authority to direct the use of military force in Libya because you could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest?” Hasselbeck pressed.

“Prior congressional approval was not constitutionally required to use military force in these operations,” she said. “Where were you then complaining?”

“I was at home complaining,” Hostin quipped, noting she was not a co-host of the liberal talk show at the time. “But I wasn’t complaining because the Office of Legal Counsel was involved.” She continued: “This president [Trump] does not go through the Office of Legal Counsel. This president does not go to Congress. Congress has the power to enact — to approve wars. This Congress has the power of the purse. This president is acting more like a king than anything else. He is the commander in chief, but he is not a king.”

Hostin has called the Trump administration’s actions against Iran illegal and unconstitutional, as many Democrats have argued, since the president announced the strikes.

Trump’s strikes bear similarities to Obama’s decision to strike Libya in 2011 under Operation Odyssey Dawn. In that operation, Obama ordered a series of strikes against Libya, looking to deter Muammar Gaddafi from attacking civilians and anti-government opposition forces. The Office of Legal Counsel issued its statement after Obama decided to carry out the strikes.

Hostin said the Iran strikes should have gone through Congress, saying it would have given embassies more notice to evacuate American citizens from the Middle East.

“I don’t think that this was done appropriately. I maintain that this is illegal and unconstitutional,” she added.

A White House official pointed to the president’s Article II authority as commander in chief, and said Trump’s actions were directed at Iran’s military infrastructure. The official maintained that the Iranian regime has consistently pursued building missiles and acquiring nuclear weapons and that its capabilities directly threatened the U.S. and partners in the Middle East.

THE HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE TO CONGRESS’ OPTIONS ON HAMSTRINGING TRUMP’S WAR POWERS IN IRAN

Hasselbeck then asked Hostin if she liked the result of the strikes, which eliminated Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — and several other top Iranian officials — who ruled the Islamic Republic for more than three decades and oversaw an era of harsh internal repression and confrontation with the U.S. and Israel.

“No, I don’t,” Hostin responded.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg went to a commercial and when the show resumed, co-host Sara Haines also pushed back on Hostin’s argument.

“In regard to what Sunny’s saying about it being an illegal war, every modern president since Reagan has done this in attacks — from Syria, Libya, Bosnia, Panama. So it happens continually, to give it context,” Haines said. “Congress has ceded this power a long time ago. And I have a lot of criticisms of Congress and this is one of them. If you want to be part of the conversation, don’t hand your power over to the presidents, which they have done.”

Hostin went on to quote Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who has said she believes this is an illegal war because “there was no imminent threat and the war was started under pretext.”

Britney Spears’ movements tracked in police dispatch audio before arrest

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Britney Spears was arrested Wednesday night in California.

The California Highway Patrol arrested Spears around 9:28 p.m., according to records viewed by Fox News Digital.

The “…Baby One More Time” singer was booked at 3:02 a.m. and released around 6:07 a.m. on Thursday. Authorities arrested Spears for allegedly driving under the influence, a source told Fox News Digital. TMZ was the first to report the arrest.

“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” a rep for Spears told Fox News Digital. “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

Dispatch audio obtained by Fox News Digital indicated that the California Highway Patrol followed Spears for a while on the freeway and other roads in the greater Los Angeles area before pulling her over.

“Driver is out of the vehicle,” police can be heard saying.

“Just talking with the driver,” someone said. “Do they need a Ventura supervisor to roll out?” another asked.

While dispatch asked officers if they’d like a supervisor, it’s unclear if one was needed.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the California Highway Patrol and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for more information.

Spears has been scheduled to appear in court on May 4.

The “Gimme More” singer is no stranger to public scrutiny. Spears’ struggle with mental health in the early 2000s led to a controversial conservatorship helmed by her father, Jamie Spears.

Following two involuntary psychiatric holds in 2008, Jamie was granted a temporary conservatorship over his daughter. At the end of the year, the court order became permanent, and Jamie was appointed conservator with attorney Andrew Wallet named as co-conservator.

In November 2021, Spears was freed from the conservatorship Jamie controlled for more than 13 years.

While addressing the court when her conservatorship ended, Spears said, “I just want my life back. All I want is to own my money and for my boyfriend to be able to drive me in his car. I want to sue my family.”

The court order successfully ended on Nov. 12, 2021, but an outstanding dispute over Jamie’s request for Spears to pay his legal fees ended in 2024. Details surrounding the case were not made public.

Spears married longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari after the conservatorship ended, but the wedded bliss was short-lived.

Asghari filed for divorce on Aug. 16, 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. Documents noted it was “impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.”

Their divorce was finalized in May 2024.

Popular pizza chain ranked America’s most overpriced overall in new study

A new study claims it has identified the most overpriced pizza chain in the U.S. — and the top spot may surprise pizza lovers.

ACE.com, a social gaming platform, analyzed 247,927 Google reviews from 19,942 pizza restaurants to pinpoint price-related complaints.

The study, which was shared with Fox News Digital, was based on Google reviews across 30 major U.S. cities. Separately, ACE.com also analyzed Grubhub menu prices in 45 cities to determine where pizza costs the most.

The platform used AI-powered natural language processing (NLP) to parse keywords such as “overpriced” and “expensive.”

Researchers factored in the “frequency of price-related complaints,” along with customer ratings.

The study listed Round Table Pizza as the most overpriced pizza chain, with an average rating of 4.00 and 71 price complaints per 1,000 reviews.

Researchers conceded that Round Table received positive comments about the quality of its ingredients, but that pricing “appears to be a recurring concern.”

The study noted, “One customer wrote, ‘Good pizza, great space, but very overpriced,’ while another noted, ‘Round Table is mega overpriced — even though it doesn’t taste that bad.'”

Domino’s and Pizza Hut were listed as the second and third most overpriced pizza chains, respectively.

Domino’s had 14 price complaints per 1,000 reviews — while Pizza Hut had 20, the study found.

Researchers factored in Domino’s and Pizza Hut’s wide reach — across 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico — and their ratings of 3.49 and 3.54.

“Despite their reputations as value-focused brands, both chains face frequent criticism regarding pricing,” the study said.

Sbarro had 62 price complaints per 1,000 reviews — a high number — and an average rating of 3.36, but ACE.com determined it deserved fourth place.

Pizza Ranch recorded the highest rate of price complaints — 73 per 1,000 reviews — but ranked seventh overall, likely reflecting its stronger 4.13 average rating.

The platform also found that San Jose, California, was the most expensive city for ordering pizza — while El Paso, Texas, offered the best value.

Round Table Pizza told Fox News Digital that it prides itself on “providing high-quality offerings to our guests.”

Nurse calls on China to attack US and remove Trump ‘regime’ in viral TikTok

A Florida nurse posted a video on TikTok calling on foreign governments, including China and the United Kingdom, to attack the United States in order to remove what she described as the “regime” of President Donald Trump

“Come on, Canada, come on, UK, come on, China, you know you wanna do it,” Joyce Schulz-Killian said in a recent video posted to TikTok.

“Come in and attack [the] United States,” she continued in the video. “You don’t like our regime, we don’t like it either. Help us. Please, help the United States. Come in, come in, help us! We’ll figure it out. We don’t like our regime either. Come on! Help us!”

The original video was later set to a private setting.

Schulz-Killian is the owner and lead nurse advocate at her business, At Your Request Patient Advocate, which describes itself on its website as a provider of private nurse patient advocacy services.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Schulz-Killian said she posted the video “to bring awareness that NOT all Americans support the regime in place of Donald Trump. Some of the Americans grew up believing in the Constitution and that the government is for the people, by the people. That Congress represents the people and not one person is in charge, even the President has oversight.”

She added that she has concerns about what she described as unchecked executive actions and alleged constitutional violations.

“I wanted to mention my fears that America is attacking boats without cause, killing our own United States citizens and calling them terrorists, sending US troops to foreign countries in war, making decisions without oversight and then not following court orders when they do come down,” she said.

FIRED NURSE WHO WISHED CHILDBIRTH INJURY ON KAROLINE LEAVITT SAYS ‘F— YOU’ TO CRITICS

“There appears to be no checks and balances,” she continued in her statement. “Just because we don’t like a regime of another country, is it in our place to kill the leader or bomb the country and a school of 175 children and educators and then deny it right to our faces. If that is true, then couldn’t other countries concerned about the American well-being come and help us from this dictator leadership we appear to have. Court orders are not followed. That is all I was saying is, this is not what I was taught about how the government works and the three levels of branches. The President did not believe in the Constitution when he took his Oath. We are in a Constitutional crisis and all the other countries see it, but us.”

On her company website, Schulz-Killian states she earned a BSN in 2012, her certificate for patient advocacy from Cleveland State University in 2015, and credentials including Certified Senior Advisor CSA in 2016.

The website says her company serves clients across the United States.

President Trump’s immigration crackdown backfires with voters rejecting ICE

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

An increasing number of voters disapprove of the job the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, or ICE, is doing, with nearly half wanting Congress to reduce its funding.

That’s according to a new Fox News poll conducted before President Trump announced on Thursday that he will nominate Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., to replace Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem.

The survey finds nearly 6 in 10 voters disapprove of ICE’s performance, while about 4 in 10 approve. This is the highest disapproval rating recorded, up 7 points since last fall and 17 points since the question was first asked in 2018.

Made with Flourish • Create a chart

Nearly twice as many voters strongly disapprove as strongly approve.

The increase in disapproval can mostly be attributed to voters under age 30 (+17 points more disapproving than in September), independents (+13), men (+11) and Democrats (+8).

“This isn’t a complicated story,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who helps run the Fox News Poll with Democratic counterpart Chris Anderson. “ICE’s tactics in Minneapolis, along with negative news coverage, have caused a sharp drop in approval, especially among independents and members of the out-party.”

Meanwhile, large majorities of MAGA supporters (94% approve), very conservative voters (87% approve) and Republicans (83%) back ICE.

When asked about funding the agency, nearly half (46%) said reduce it. The other half wants to increase funding (20%), keep at current levels (18%) or fund at current levels but with new restrictions (16%).

FOX NEWS POLL: VIEWS ARE DIVIDED ON US ACTION AGAINST IRAN

Made with Flourish • Create a chart

Majorities of Democrats (77%) and independents (59%) want to defund ICE while Republicans would prefer to at least keep it at its current level (37%) if not increase it (43%).

Today, voters are slightly more likely to feel the Trump administration’s immigration policies have made the U.S. safer (42% safer vs. 37% less safe) than they did last June, when they were split on the matter (39% each). Overall, 2 in 10 say the policies don’t make a difference to safety.

But when looking at immigration from an economic lens, more voters think the administration’s policies are hurting the economy (49%) than helping it (33%). Two in 10 (17%) say they haven’t had an effect on the economy.

Made with Flourish • Create a chart

Majorities of Republicans are more likely to say the immigration policies have made the U.S. safer (82%) and helped the economy (66%), while it’s the opposite for Democrats (62% less safe, 83% hurt). A majority of independents think the economy is being hurt (57%) but are more divided on safety: 27% safer, 40% less safe, 33% no difference.

Views on what to do about illegal immigration remain nuanced. Two-thirds favor allowing illegal immigrants who have jobs in the U.S. to stay and apply for legal status (67% favor, 33% oppose). On the other hand, 6 in 10 favor deporting immigrants who are here illegally back to their home countries (59% favor, 40% oppose).

Made with Flourish • Create a chart

Among voters favoring deportation, 53% would support immigrants who live here illegally but have jobs to stay and apply for legal status.

Majorities of Hispanic voters favor allowing illegal immigrants with jobs to stay (74% favor), disagree with deportations (56% oppose) and disapprove of ICE (58%).

Big picture, border security and immigration remain President Trump’s best issues. Border security continues to be his only net positive job rating with 52% approving and 48% disapproving. While his handling of immigration stands at 47% approve and 53% disapprove, it is a slight improvement since the last recording in January when it was 45-55%.

The president’s ratings on other issues remain underwater: jobs (43% approve, 56% disapprove), taxes (40-59%), foreign policy (40-60%), economy (38-61%), healthcare (38-61%), tariffs (36-63%), and cost of living (32-67%).

Her voluminous blonde hair cascaded over one shoulder as she placed a hand on her hip.

In another selfie, Nader was photographed from behind as she looked out over the sweeping coastline.

Wearing a fitted, long-sleeved cream set, she stood at the edge of an infinity pool with waves crashing along the shore below.

Lush green cliffs framed the beach in the distance, capturing a peaceful moment from her stay at the luxury resort.

The sister getaway comes as the Nader family continue promoting their new reality series, “Love Thy Nader,” which follows Brooks, Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane navigating careers, relationships and life together in New York City.

Despite growing up in a conservative Louisiana town, the sisters say they didn’t tone anything down for the cameras.

“With our family members back home in Louisiana, obviously, they were like, ‘Whoa, you’re going to be on television, like the real TV?’” Brooks told People magazine. “So I think that they were shocked but not shocked, because it’s very us. However, they have no idea what they’re about to watch.”

“They’re so supportive,” she shared. “They’re hosting huge watch parties in Baton Rouge as we speak, sending texts to every club that they’re a member of, trying to get everyone to watch.”

The show documents the sisters living under one roof in New York, something Brooks has admitted “is a struggle” at times, while capturing both the high-profile moments and the blowups that come with four strong personalities sharing a space.
