Lifeguard boots ex-Secretary of State from East Hampton beach
Former Secretary of State Antony Blinken appeared to have been kicked off a popular New York beach on Friday amid closures that were enforced due to dangerous conditions from Hurricane Erin.
Photos show Blinken — who served under the Biden administration — and a friend relaxing on beach chairs in the sand as they chatted and looked out onto the water at Georgica Beach in East Hampton.
A lifeguard and a parked patrol vehicle were then pictured next to Blinken and his pal, who were simultaneously seen gathering their belongings, including their beach chairs, shoes, bags and a towel.
Blinken — who was barefoot and sporting sunglasses — and his friend were then spotted making their way back across the sand and through the parking lot.

East Hampton beaches, including Georgica Beach, were closed for several days due to the hazardous conditions produced along the East Coast by Hurricane Erin, a spokesperson for East Hampton Village’s Main Beach Office told Fox News Digital in an email.

“The water was closed until last night as per Suffolk County,” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Sunday.
While the beach opened to foot traffic around midday on Friday after the tide had receded, the beach was closed prior to that, the spokesperson said.
BLINKEN SHREDS TRUMP’S IRAN STRIKES, THOUGH HE HOPES THEY ‘INFLICTED MAXIMUM DAMAGE’
“The beach was closed to foot traffic as well all Thursday and Friday until around midday,” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “Friday we were able to open each beach to foot traffic after the tide dropped out. The storm brought strong rip currents, storm surge waves and large debris. All our precautions were to keep patrons and staff as safe as possible!”
Coastal towns across parts of the U.S. were bracing for the wrath of Hurricane Erin this past week. New York Governor Kathy Hochul urged New Yorkers to exercise caution and to “prepare for the possibility of dangerous conditions along our beaches and coastal cities and towns.”

“New Yorkers are no strangers to hurricanes — that is why I’m urging those living in areas that may be impacted to stay safe and exercise caution until the hurricane tapers off later this week,” New York Governor Kathy Hochul said in a statement on Tuesday.
Blinken is no stranger to controversy over how he spends his leisure time. In 2021, he was vacationing in the Hamptons just hours before Taliban insurgents invaded Kabul and completed their retaking of Afghanistan 20 years after their ouster by U.S.-led forces, The Washington Post reported.

Houston homeowner shoots and kills 2 men claiming to be police with warrant: officials
A Texas homeowner fatally shot two masked men late Friday after they posed as officers serving a warrant and opened fire on the house, police say.
The Houston Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the southeast part of the city around midnight, Officer C. Jones told Fox News Digital.
The suspects were wearing bulletproof vests marked with “police,” but no patrol cars or flashing lights were present, raising the homeowner’s suspicions, authorities said. The two men were also wearing masks covering their faces and badges around their necks, Fox 26 Houston reported, citing the police.

“They became suspicious because they have a Ring camera and the suspects were stating they had a warrant, but it’s just two people, and they’re masked up and no police cars, no lights or anything like that,” Lt. Khan told Fox 26.

Pro Bowl quarterback axed as Cleveland keeps rookies on roster ahead of season start
The Cleveland Browns trimmed their roster on Sunday and cut a quarterback following the team’s final preseason game of 2025 against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Browns announced they released quarterback Tyler Huntley. The move trims the quarterback room down to four players, including Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. It may be their only move ahead of the regular season.

ESPN reported that the Browns have been “planning to keep its four other QBs … on its 53-man roster.” Not to mention, Cleveland has Deshaun Watson on injured reserve due to a torn Achilles.
“I thought it was a good finish to that preseason as a football team, just to make sure that these guys gave that type of effort. So really pleased,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Sunday, via the team’s website. “Obviously, now that the cut down starts to come over the next couple days, one of the tough parts of this business is just that.
“So, we’ll work through that over the next 48 hours and then got four good days of work with the team Monday through Thursday. Then take that break over Labor Day before we get started the following week versus Cincinnati. So, a lot of work to be done and we’re excited to get to that work.”
CARSON WENTZ CUTS DEAL WITH MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Huntley was brought into the mix after Pickett was injured. The one-time Pro Bowler played in the fourth quarter against the Rams and was 10-of-13 with 71 passing yards against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Browns already named Flacco its starting quarterback in Week 1. Pickett is expected to be available for Week 1, likely as Flacco’s backup.
Stefanski said Pickett is “getting better every day” as he battles back from a hamstring injury.
Cleveland added Flacco to the roster in the offseason and acquired Pickett from the Eagles. The team selected Gabriel and Sanders in the draft.

Sanders didn’t play well in his final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams. He was sacked five times. Gabriel had a touchdown pass. But it appeared, at least for now, that both rookies are safe.
Cracker Barrel board member under fire for work background after restaurant ditches logo
One member of Cracker Barrel’s board of directors is catching heat over his DEI-heavy background following negative reaction to the company’s new logo and redesigned interior and revelations about its embrace of far-Left values.
Gilbert Davila, 61, joined the restaurant chain’s board in July 2020 and is also among its top individual shareholders. Conservative activist Robby Starbuck called out Davila in a video criticizing the company’s leadership, calling the recent changes the culmination of a years-long campaign to cater to the far Left and abandon the values of its middle-America customer base.
“What qualified him for this board seat?” Starbuck asks in the video. “Well, you see, he’s owned a DEI consulting and strategy firm for 15 years that focuses on pushing DEI and DEI advertising.”
CONSERVATIVE ACTIVIST SLAMS CRACKER BARREL; COMPANY LEFT REELING AFTER LOGO REDESIGN
Starbuck was referring to DMI Consulting, a firm where Davila has served as president and CEO since 2010. Davila’s biography page on Cracker Barrel’s website describes the firm as “a leading multicultural marketing, diversity & inclusion and strategy firm in the United States.”
FOX Business reached out to Cracker Barrel and Davila’s company for comment but did not hear back at the time of publication.
Consumers have criticized Cracker Barrel after it unveiled a new logo that replaced the image of a man leaning on a barrel with just the restaurant’s name in black text over a yellow barrel-shaped backdrop. The chain also redesigned the interior of its restaurants, ditching the kitschy American aesthetic and replacing it with a slick modernist motif.
But Starbuck said those cosmetic changes are just part of a lurch away from American values. In his 15-minute video, he notes the company has been active in LGBTQ pride events, and aggressively employed diversity, equity and inclusion policies in hiring.
Davila’s LinkedIn page states that he “is widely recognized… for his multicultural market knowledge and his proven track record on how to best embed a multicultural perspective into a corporation’s entire operation.”
“People like him are behind the woke advertising push that we’ve seen in recent years,” Starbuck said of Davila in the video. “And he was also one of the people responsible for DEI at Disney.”
CRACKER BARREL FACES CUSTOMER CRITICISM AFTER DITCHING ICONIC 48-YEAR-OLD LOGO FOR NEW DESIGN
Prior to his work at DMI, Davila worked at The Walt Disney Company, where he served as the vice president of global diversity and multicultural market development from 2003 to 2010.
Davila earlier held the role of vice president of multicultural management for Sears & Roebuck Company and was a marketing director for Coca-Cola USA.
Davila’s biography page also notes that he is a member of the Association of National Advertisers, co-founding and serving as a director of the group’s Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing.

‘Game of Thrones’ star reveals why she’ll never move back to the US after her divorce
Sophie Turner didn’t look back when she left the United States two years ago.
Turner, 29, moved home to London in 2023 following the end of her four-year marriage to singer Joe Jonas.
The “Game of Thrones” actress couldn’t be happier to restart life in her native England, and admitted she never wants to leave again.

“I just feel so at home here; I never want to move again,” Turner told Flaunt.
“Living in the states, I didn’t appreciate how much you need friends and family and how integral they are to your wellness until you’re away from them.”
She added, “I came back with an abundance of appreciation for them.”
The “X-Men” star admitted that becoming a mother to Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, had a positive impact on her career.

Turner and Jonas finalized their divorce in September, one year after the former couple split. The pair reached an agreement through moderated negotiations regarding spousal support, splitting the former couple’s assets and custody of their two children.
Judge Gina Beovides declared that the marriage was “irretrievably broken,” and that the couple’s agreement, especially their parenting plan, was in the best interest of the family. The Miami-Dade County judge approved the agreement in September.
Turner and Jonas first met in 2016 after the Jonas Brothers singer reached out to the actress via Instagram. They got engaged in 2017 and tied the knot in an impromptu Vegas wedding in 2019.
Jonas originally filed for divorce in a Florida court in September 2023, Fox News Digital previously confirmed.
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the estranged couple later wrote in a joint statement. “There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Shortly following the divorce announcement, Turner sued Jonas in a New York court over the custody of their two children. She claimed she learned of the divorce filing “through the media” in the court documents obtained by Fox News Digital. The marriage between Turner and Jonas broke down “very suddenly” following “an argument” that occurred on the “Cake by the Ocean” singer’s 34th birthday.

Turner also accused Jonas of “the wrongful retention” of their daughters for multiple days. The actress said Jonas’ attorney, Thomas J. Sasser, acknowledged that the pop star wouldn’t give up the kids’ passports or “consent for the children to return home to England.”
Turner recalled being portrayed as a bad mom in tabloids and on gossip sites, while Jonas was shown as the doting dad to their daughters. She told British Vogue “those were the worst few days of my life.”

Bowles calls Sanders’ punch ‘inexcusable’ as Bucs cut Deion’s son after ejection
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will reportedly waive defensive back Shilo Sanders after he was ejected from Saturday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
The NFL Network reported the Buccaneers’ decision on Sanders. The organization has to trim its roster down to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon. Sanders was competing for a spot as one of the safeties on the roster behind Antoine Winfield Jr. Kaevon Merriweather, Rashad Wisdom and Will Brooks were among the safeties listed as backups on the roster.

Sanders’ ejection may have helped make the Buccaneers’ decision easier.
He got entangled with Bills tight end Zach Davidson during a play in the second quarter of the matchup. He threw a punch at Davidson in front of the official.

“You can’t throw punches in this league. It’s inexcusable. They’re gonna get you every time,” Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles said after the game. “You gotta grow from that.”
Sanders, the son of Deion Sanders and brother of Shedeur Sanders, joined the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. He did have a good shot at making the roster before the incident.
Sanders transferred to Colorado once his father took over as the head coach of the Buffaloes. He initially went to South Carolina.

Christopher Schwarzenegger reveals shocking physical transformation during boat trip
Christopher Schwarzenegger continues to turn heads with his weight-loss transformation.
On Friday, the 27-year-old’s sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger, took to social media to share a series of photos from a family outing on Cape Cod.
“A perfect day ☀️🌊,” Katherine captioned the post, which also featured photos of her husband Chris Pratt, mom Maria Shriver, and Christopher’s uncle, Anthony Shriver.

One photo in particular featured Christopher wearing a white, buttoned-down shirt and salmon-colored shorts.
Christopher has been candid about his weight-loss journey throughout the years.
While speaking at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles in May, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s son opened up about his fitness journey over the past six years.
“It was a big process,” he said during a panel discussion with Shriver, Kelly Osbourne and the event’s host, Jeff Beacher, per People. “I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,’ and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.”
“I was like, ‘I want to go skydiving.’ And my friends were like, ‘Yeah, no shot.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t skydive,'” he recalled.
In April, he decided to give up one thing during Lent that helped him lose 30 pounds within two months.
“Weirdly enough, I gave up bread for Lent,” he said of the 40-day Christian religious observance period that precedes Easter. “I don’t know if anyone’s Catholic in here, but I gave up bread for Lent.”
“I was like, ‘Well, if I’m giving up bread, I might as well just take the opportunity and I’m a good Catholic boy, so I’m not going to break it,'” he added. “And that was my one rule. I was like, ‘I’m not going to break Lent.’ And so I lost 30 pounds just through that.”

“It’s not an overnight thing, but it took a lot of trial and error,” he said during the panel. “And even still to this day… when you’re saying, oh, before and after photos… I don’t feel like I’m an after yet. I don’t feel like I’m at the point.”
‘Very striking’ discovery reveals why Alzheimer’s affects more women than men
Omega fatty acids may help protect women from Alzheimer’s disease, revealing why more women are diagnosed, according to a study from King’s College London and Queen Mary University of London.
The research, published in Alzheimer’s & Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer’s Association found that women with Alzheimer’s disease had fewer unsaturated fats—especially the healthy ones like omega fatty acids—compared to women without Alzheimer’s.
Researchers analyzed brain inflammation and damage in plasma samples of 841 Alzheimer’s disease patients, according to a press release.
‘MISSING LINK’ TO ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE FOUND IN STUDY OF HUMAN BRAIN TISSUE
Using mass spectrometry, researchers sorted 700 groups of lipid molecules found in the blood.
“Saturated lipids are generally considered as ‘unhealthy’ or ‘bad’ lipids, while unsaturated lipid, which sometimes contains omega fatty acids, are generally considered ‘healthy,’” scientists noted in the release.
They found a steep increase in lipids with “unhealthy” saturated lipids in female Alzheimer’s patients.
“The lipids with attached omega fatty acids were the most decreased in the Alzheimer’s group,” notes the study.
The study demonstrates a link between Alzheimer’s disease and fatty acids, though further research and clinical trials are necessary to confirm the link.
The first author of the study, Dr Asger Wretlind of the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences, said scientists have been aware that Alzheimer’s disease is more common in women.
“Although this still warrants further research, we were able to detect biological differences in lipids between the sexes in a large cohort, and show the importance of lipids containing omegas in the blood, which has not been done before,” said Wretlind in the release.
He added, “The results are very striking, and now we are looking at how early in life this change occurs in women.”
About two-thirds of the 7 million Americans who have Alzheimer’s disease are women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
About 4.2 million women aged 65 and older have the disease.

“Our study suggests that women should make sure they are getting omega fatty acids in their diet – through fatty fish or via supplements,” said Dr. Cristina Legido-Quigley, Reader in Systems Medicine, in the release.
Omega-3 fatty acids support brain health and can be found in fish such as salmon, chia and flaxseeds, walnuts, and supplements, according to the CDC.
While the study did suggest women with Alzheimer’s had lower levels of some unsaturated fats compared to men, further research is needed, according to Dr. Julia Dudley, head of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
“This includes understanding the mechanisms behind this difference and finding out if lifestyle changes, including diet could have a role,” said Dudley.
She added that understanding how Alzheimer’s works in women rather than men could help doctors be more specific with future treatments and health advice.
