Hong Kong Weather Forecast 2025-04-12T23:15:00+08:00

General Situation

A warm and humid southerly airstream affected the coast of Guangdong this morning. Locally, it was cloudy with one or two showers and coastal mist. Besides, the trough of low pressure over northern Guangdong developed into a cold front this morning, and moved across the coastal areas around evening. Under the influence of the thundery showers associated with the cold front, showers increased with a few squally thunderstorms in the afternoon over Hong Kong. More than 10 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places, and rainfall even exceeded 20 millimetres over Tai Po District. Under the influence of the associated intense northeast monsoon, showers eased off with temperatures falling gradually at night. Under the influence of a dry northeast monsoon, it will be windy and slightly cooler over the coast of Guangdong tomorrow morning. The weather will improve during the day. With the monsoon moderating later tomorrow, winds will be weak and the weather will be generally fine over Guangdong in the following couple of days. The temperature difference between day and night will be rather large.

Forecast Description

Mainly cloudy with relatively low visibility in some areas. The minimum temperature in the morning will be about 18 degrees in the urban areas, and a couple of degrees lower in the New Territories.
