Biden repeats the same word during press conference while trailing off

President Biden held a high-stakes press conference Thursday evening where he doubled down on his earlier pledge to remain in the presidential race while making a few gaffes, including trailing off on his thoughts and using the word “anyway” at least nine times.

“I just got to just pace myself a lot more, pace myself. And the next debate, I’m not going to be traveling in 15 time zones a week before. Anyway, that’s what it was about,” Biden said after reporters asked him about reports he needs to go to bed earlier in the day.

“That’s what it was about. And, by the way, even with that, I love my staff. But they add things. They add things all the time. … I’m catching hell from my wife for that. Anyway,” he continued.

Biden said “anyway” at least nine times throughout the roughly 58-minute press conference, according to a transcript of the press event, sparking some on social media to joke about an “anyway drinking game.”

DEMS RUSH TO DEFEND BIDEN AMID HIGH STAKES PRESS CONFERENCE: ‘VERY STRONG PERFORMANCE’

Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” aired a compilation of Biden’s repeated use of “anyway,” including six of the instances out of the nine found in the press conference’s transcript.

Biden’s press conference comes as concerns mount he is not mentally fit to serve another four years in the Oval Office, including 17 elected Democrats calling on the president to bow out of the race as he prepares to square off against former President Trump in November.

TOP DEMOCRAT ON HOUSE INTEL COMMITTEE CALLS ON BIDEN TO SUSPEND CAMPAIGN AFTER NATO PRESS CONFERENCE

“Joe Biden’s record of public service is unrivaled,” Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said on X after the press conference. “His accomplishments are immense. His legacy as a great president is secure.

BIDEN’S HIGH-STAKES SOLO PRESS CONFERENCE SLAMMED FROM THE RIGHT AS ‘ANOTHER DISASTER’

“He must not risk that legacy, those accomplishments and American democracy to soldier on in the face of the horrors promised by Donald Trump.”

Conservatives slammed Biden on social media throughout the public event for his handful of gaffes, including holding up a list of reporters he planned to call on and appearing to confuse Vice President Kamala Harris with former President Trump, in addition to repeatedly saying “anyway.”

“This NATO press conference with Biden is another disaster. It is inexplicable the people advising this man continue to think that somehow he’s not going to humiliate himself and this country. Why do they continue to allow this to happen?” Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce posted to X during the press conference.

Allies of the president, however, considered the press event a success, remarking on social media that Biden’s delivery while answering reporters’ questions was “strong.”

BIDEN STAGES HOUR-LONG PRESS CONFERENCE, TAKES MULTIPLE QUESTIONS IN BID TO ALLAY FEARS OVER MENTAL DECLINE

“This is a very strong performance. Quite frankly. ⁦@POTUS⁩ is putting on a master class in how foreign policy and domestic policy intersect, explaining how crucial American global leadership is to our people here at home. Well done, Mr. President,” Democratic strategist Joel Rubin posted on X.

“Tonight Joe Biden offered a lengthy, detailed dive on the major national security issues he’s juggling combined with a comfortable but forceful defense of his view of where this race stands. 50 minutes of Qs. He needed to show up big tonight and he did,” former White House communications director Kate Bedingfield posted to X.

The president again addressed concerns about his mental acuity during the presser, defiantly defending his record in office.

PRESIDENT BIDEN: EUROPEAN ALLIES TELL ME I’VE ‘GOT TO WIN’ IN NOVEMBER

“Am I getting the job done? Can you name me somebody who’s got more major pieces of legislation passed in 3½ years, created 2,000 jobs just last week. So, if I slow down, I can’t get the job done. That’s a sign that I shouldn’t be doing it. But there’s no indication of that yet … none,” he said.

Biden also addressed whether Harris could serve as president, elaborating that he would not have chosen her as his running mate in 2020 if he thought otherwise.

“First of all, the way she’s handled the issue of freedom of women’s bodies to have control over their bodies. Secondly, her ability to handle almost any issue on the board. This was a hell of a prosecutor. She was a first-rate person, and in the Senate, she was really good. I wouldn’t have picked her unless I thought she was qualified to be president. From the very beginning. I made no bones about that. She is qualified to be president. That’s why I picked her,” he said.

Biden addressed the media as he hosted NATO world leaders for the 75th anniversary of the defensive military alliance this week.

Democrats don’t get a do-over just because of Biden’s debate meltdown

The vaunted saviors of democracy in the Democratic Party were ready to throw out all the norms this summer to make sure voters keep them in power. Unfortunately for them, the calendar is not their friend.

With just four months before the general election ends, Democrats and their advocates in the media began floating the idea of changing the primary rules just ahead of the finish line.

Calling for a “blitz primary,” two influential Democrats this past week unveiled a plan to essentially redo the primary.

Candidates, including Vice President Kamala Harris, would have one month to campaign to delegates of the Democratic National Committee ahead of the Aug. 19 convention. Star-studded candidate forums would be held weekly. The nominee would be selected via ranked choice voting at convention.

BIDEN CALLS ‘MORNING JOE,’ DENOUNCES MEDIA AND POLITICAL ELITES AS DEMOCRATS WARN OF TRUMP VICTORY

It’s an entirely new process, thrown together on the fly. One that seeks to preserve power by disenfranchising the party’s own voters. And one that requires them to find an extra-constitutional way to oust a sitting president of their own party – since Biden has made it clear he’s not going anywhere, at least for the moment.

It’s not going to work this time. You don’t get to redo your primary because someone had a bad debate or the truth is suddenly exposed. You don’t get to change the rules the moment it looks like you won’t win. They are stuck with Biden-Harris.

Too many voters have had enough of the gaslighting, the dishonesty, and the hyperbole of Democrats in government and media since the debate exposed their duplicity. The debate was an a-ha moment for many voters (excepting, of course, those who tune in to Fox News. You all saw this coming from a mile away). Since the debate, the truth that Democrats have so desperately tried to hide has been on full display.

OUR FOOLISHLY LIBERAL MEDIA SAW BIDEN’S DECLINE. NOW THEY’VE BEEN EXPOSED

They have only themselves to blame if voters now exhibit a new skepticism of the party that laughably purports to save democracy.

The proposal to change the primary rules this close to the finish line is an obvious rejection of the democratic process. The idea of erecting an entirely new primary system after Democrats deliberately rigged them the first time is unfair to their own voters. Not to mention the other candidates who played by the rules.

More voters may now come to realize that for Democrats, gaming the system is par for the course. They aren’t protectors of democracy. They’re protectors of power.

Even as the party made former President Trump’s alleged “threat to democracy” a central theme of the race, the president’s party is quick to jettison democratic processes that don’t augment their power. Apparently democracy is expendable when Democrats are at risk of losing power.

BIDEN OR HARRIS FOR PRESIDENT? THE SURPRISING REASON TO STICK WITH JOE

Newly skeptical voters can find a consistent pattern of Democrats subverting democratic processes if they look for it.

Throwing out the votes of Democratic primary voters? Just the beginning.

Threatening to restructure the Supreme Court when rulings don’t go their way? Or to eliminate the Electoral College when their message isn’t appealing broadly enough? They don’t think twice.

Banning, censoring and gagging a presidential candidate whose message they don’t like? No problem.

Unlawfully registering illegal immigrants to vote? What do you think?

But this time it’s different. Voters are catching on. How is this saving democracy?

Voters understand you don’t get to redo your primary just because someone had a bad debate. You don’t get to rewrite the rules every time your party suffers a setback.

Democrats are likely stuck with Joe Biden and Kamala. Harris. Time is too short. It’s too late to change the campaign finance rules that govern Biden’s campaign fund, or the party rules that govern who can be on the ballot in each state.

More importantly, there is no mechanism to force Biden out simply because he might lose. Although Democrats have likely frantically looked for one.

As the ugly truth sets in, debate watchers who trusted their government and their media have to be asking serious questions. If Trump is such a threat to democracy, why are Democrats the ones breaking all the norms?

Dem who sounded alarm about Biden’s age in 2019 changes tune as president faces heat

A former Democrat lawmaker in South Carolina, who has donated thousands of dollars to President Biden’s re-election campaign, warned about Biden’s age in 2019 while supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed presidential campaign.

“Joe Biden has been running for president since before I was born,” Bakari Sellers told Politico in 2019 while serving as a surrogate for the Harris campaign.

“Joe Biden is nearly 80 years old and he’s running to be president of the United States,” Sellers said. “My dad was president of an HBCU and will be 75 this year and his doctors told him he couldn’t do it anymore.”

Sellers, a CNN political analyst who formerly served in South Carolina’s House of Representatives from 2006 to 2014, said his dad, who served for 7 years as the president of Voorhees College, a South Carolina historically black college, “didn’t have the energy and strength to lead that campus anymore.” He went on to say it “doesn’t mean he wasn’t a great man and a great leader and a great visionary.”

“It is a justifiable conversation,” he continued.

BIDEN’S AGE MUCH MORE OF A LIABILITY THAN TRUMP’S, POLL FINDS AHEAD OF PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

Sellers also took aim at presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren over age concerns during the Democratic presidential primary in 2019.

“The three front-runners are all older than Ronald Reagan was when he took over,” Sellers said. “Democrats are afraid of criticism, which is silly to me. But we are going to have a contentious primary on vigor and issues about fitness to be president.”

AXIOS REPORTER SAYS WHITE HOUSE DID ‘NOT TELL THE TRUTH’ FOR YEARS TO MEDIA, THEMSELVES ABOUT BIDEN’S AGE

Sellers, who donated $10,000 to the Biden Victory Fund and $6,600 to Biden’s re-election campaign last year, making him a maxed-out donor, has repeatedly defended Biden against criticisms about his age in recent weeks, including this week when he said it was “patently absurd” to be having a discussion about a Parkinsons specialist visiting the White House.

On Thursday night, Sellers responded to Biden’s hour-long press conference by posting on X that Biden was “doing well” and reposted a post from NBC analyst Vin Gupta, a doctor, defending Biden’s press conference.

“[Biden] demonstrated tonight that he continues to function at a high-level for his age,” Gupta said. “Yes, he had gaffes, which he’s been prone to throughout his career. Yet the substance was there after a series of tough questions, ably demonstrating breadth of experience. Strong performance.”

“Biden would not only have to not run but he’d have to resign. Neither of which is happening,” Sellers said last week. “Any article about his age that is absent the fact he’s accomplished bipartisan, put black woman on Supreme Court, brought economy back from brink after COVID is an emotional play. Because it’s clear even in his age he can do the job of POTUS.”

One of Sellers’ most notable defenses of Biden occurred less than an hour after the CNN debate between Biden and former President Trump.

“Biden ain’t going nowhere. It’s June. Let go of your pearls and dry your bed. He lost a debate. Bad. But it’s June. You’re not replacing him,” Sellers posted on June 27 on X. “So leave your random combinations in your chats. You’re not nominating Gretch or Gavin or Wes over Kamala. Stop it. Organize. Vote. We are winning every swing state senate race and gubernatorial race (NC). Relax.”

“Choice is Trump, Biden or couch. I choose Joe. Night. Night,” he continued.

Fox News Digital reached out to Sellers for comment but did not receive a response..

Blue city hires equity trainer who calls US military ‘home of White supremacy’

FIRST ON FOX – A city in New Mexico is currently processing a “culture change” in government where critical race theory permeates, with the help of a far-left equity consultant.

Shortly after he was elected in 2017, Albuquerque Democratic Mayor Tim Keller promised to overhaul the government with antiracist ideals.

“From Day One of our administration, we knew that inequity was growing and that we would have to change the culture,” he said. “When has learning and growing ever been comfortable?”

Keller established the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) in March 2018 to implement his vision of racial equity. The office created trainings on critical race theory and made some employees feel uncomfortable along the way, the OEI director said in the 2021 report.

One of the equity consultants hired included Zamil Salhab from RACED Consulting, who has far-left views, including that the U.S. military is the “home of White supremacy.” Salhab is a “genderqueer first generation American and Post 9-11 veteran,” according to the RACED Consulting website.

SPACE FORCE COMMANDER WHO SAYS HE LOST PENSION FOR CRITICIZING DEI IN MILITARY OPENS UP ON BEING ‘BETRAYED’

“Being first generation and being black, being queer. And then to go into what I believe is the home of White supremacy and patriarchy, the military. Little did I realize like what damage… I was doing to myself and what I’d have to go through in order to deconstruct myself after getting out of the service,” Salhab said in June 2020. “Because society not only teaches that Black bodies are less than… And so and then to be a woman. So to deal with those different intersectionalities of the White supremacy construct, it was, you know, for a period of time I thought I was nuts, I thought I was crazy.”

The city confirmed, “The Office of Equity and Inclusion contracted with RACED Consulting LLC.”

NPR CORRESPONDENT CALLS FOR DESTRUCTION OF POLICE, BLASTS ‘RACIST’ AMERICANS FOR CALLING 911

RACED Consulting has expertise on the topic of “white fragility,” according to its website

“We will explore white fragility and its impact on building racially inclusive practices… We share personal experiences with white fragility and its effect on you and those around you,” the website states.

Another area of expertise is “De-Centering Whiteness,” “Interrupting White Supremacy,” and “Interrupting Whiteness.”

Despite all the CRT training that low-level employees attended, RACED Consulting wrote in the city’s 2021 report that higher ups were largely absent from those trainings.

“The said process of deconstructing white supremacy behaviors is both external and internal. Visibly absent from the 2021 RACED sessions were department directors and city leadership,” the consulting section in the report stated.

“Investment into the Culture Change Initiative must manifest through all levels of Albuquerque city government and be more expansive than just monetary; it must consider the intangible costs and benefits of building true relationships throughout the city and the wider community to foster a deep and sustainable Culture Change,” it concluded in the city’s official report.

And, according to the diversity, equity and inclusion head, some city employees are uncomfortable with Keller’s racial agenda.

“We also see a small but vocal resistance to addressing racism,” Michelle Melendez, director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion, said about the internal dynamics. “Systemic racism is one of the root causes of some of our most serious challenges, and addressing it within municipal government will make our city better for the long-term. That’s culture change.”

“There is a better understanding and openness to conversations about anti-racism and social justice topics,” another section of the report said.

As part of their effort to change the culture, every department was given a DEI staffer who would report on and give an “equity assessment.” Those “liaisons” went through over 10 months of training in order to be prepared for their missions.

“We all realized in our first year of working with equity liaisons that shifting the culture of institutions is extremely challenging,” the report said. “Each of the liaisons who were able to complete the 10 months of training and technical assistance was able to introduce and move forward equity work in their respective departments.”

SCHOOL DISTRICT DEI TRAINER SAYS AMERICAN FLAG BECOMING ‘HATE’ SYMBOL, EMPLOYEES RESISTING CRT SHOULD BE FIRED

Some of the departments that were included in the equity liaison were animal welfare, environmental health, transit and the police department.

Each of those departments developed their own “racial equity action plan[s] of that Department’s practices, policies, expenditures, and distribution of resources.”

Before Keller was elected in 2017, employees “were reluctant to talk openly about race, racism,” according to OEI Director Melendez.

“The Culture Change Initiative was instrumental in building the City’s capacity to work toward equitable outcomes,” the report stated.

Parents share massive repercussions of skyrocketing grocery bills

Parents are expressing their disbelief and frustration regarding the cost of food, with shoppers now posting their massive grocery bills to social media as part of a growing trend.

In one video, a man shared his receipt from a Trader Joe’s in Westlake Village, California, as an example of how much money it costs to feed six kids for ten days.

“Oh my God,” the man said as he scrolled down the $444.38 bill.

Last month, a TikTok influencer, who goes by the handle alchanning, labeled the summer grocery bill the “real mom struggle” of 2024.

FIVE GUYS’ PRICES SPARK OUTRAGE AFTER $24 RECEIPT GOES VIRAL: ‘HIGHWAY ROBBERY’

“I just want to check on all my moms who have kids home for the summer. Are ya’ll okay?” she asked in the video. “I’m not talking about them fighting. I’m not talking about them getting on your nerves because I know they do that, too. I’m talking about the groceries. The grocery bill. What are we going to do about the food situation?

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data, grocery prices have risen 25% since the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. However, the cost of groceries dropped in April, the first decrease in a year.

Aunjahne Williamson, a single mother who spoke with Fox News Digital, said she has been deeply affected by the rising cost of groceries and often spends a minimum of $400 for a family of two every month.

Rising costs have led Williamson to be more strict about food consumption and work extra hours. While she previously purchased groceries in bulk, she has now begun ordering groceries weekly to tighten her budget and not waste excess produce.

“To my surprise, even a few items in the cart would already total around $100. This was when I started to truly notice the price increases,” Williamson said.

“Moreover, it seems like the healthier we eat, the more expensive our grocery bill becomes. Our goal is to consume nutritious foods that nourish our bodies, but this has become increasingly difficult with the rising costs,” she continued.

Williamson has also banded together with other mothers in the community to find new, creative ways to save on food and other essentials.

MCDONALD’S $25 ‘DEAL’ GOES VIRAL; USERS BLAME CALIFORNIA’S MINIMUM-WAGE INCREASE: ‘YOUR NEW NORMAL’

She and other parents often compare prices and share coupons, make certain foods and even cleaning products from scratch, purchase meal replacements, reduce the consumption of meat, engage in meal planning or batch cooking and create a home garden.

“The rising prices of groceries has made me more aware of budgeting and managing money,” Williamson added. “Now, I am passing these lessons to my homeschooled child through real-life financial literacy lessons. We’re finding creative ways to eat at home and trying new meals like using pecans as a meat substitute.”

As both a parent and the owner of Kashkan Restaurants, Ranveer Brar told Fox News Digital that he has gained insightful knowledge about the food industry’s mechanisms and how families are pressured to make healthy, affordable meals.

“Parents sharing their grocery receipts on social media is something that touches my heart. Besides, they not only demonstrate financial hardships experienced by many households but also encourage camaraderie among mothers and fathers. These posts are open and candid, bringing to light an important matter that deserves attention and solutions,” he said.

NEARLY 80% OF AMERICANS NOW CONSIDER FAST FOOD A ‘LUXURY’ DUE TO HIGH PRICES

“In addition, these escalating prices require drastic re-adjustments at home as well as in my business,” Brar added.

The restaurant owner said he often aims to provide reasonably priced and quality dishes. However, that standard is becoming more difficult due to the “skyrocketing” cost of ingredients. He said he knows these circumstances are also challenging for parents who want to ensure their child is healthy with limited cash.

Brar and his family have learned to shop for groceries more strategically at home. They prioritize seasonal fruits and vegetables. When they are affordable, the family buys them in bulk to utilize a meal plan strategy to minimize waste and maximize spending power.

“It is a delicate balance between maintaining quality and nutrition and at the same time avoiding bankruptcy,” Brar continued. “It is my view that [the receipt trend] underpins some of the wider economic challenges that many families are currently confronting. It further emphasizes the need for policy changes as well as community support systems that could ease parental pressures when it comes to caring for their own children’s needs.”

According to a study by Qualtrics on behalf of Intuit Credit Karma, 80% of Americans say they have felt a “notable increase” in grocery costs in recent years. More than a quarter of respondents said the increased cost has led them to occasionally skip meals, while about one-third said they spend more than 60% of their monthly income on mandatory expenses such as food, utilities and rent.

Popular food critic can change a restaurant’s fortune — all from his car

Kevin Noparvar believes food is “a lot like art,” and he emerged as a wildly popular social media influencer by offering his interpretation of various meals

Noparvar, who is better known as @how.kev.eats across social media platforms, has piled up over 3.4 million followers on TikTok alone and also has massive followings on Instagram and YouTube. His formula is simple – Noparvar gets takeout from various restaurants, tries it on camera, usually while sitting in his car, and offers his honest opinion about the food.

“If I can make you see what I see in the restaurant, and that inspires you to go try their food, I have done my job,” Noparvar told Fox News Digital

“I still kind of just view myself as a guy who’s eating food in his car,” Noparvar continued. “People are just like a fly on the wall to see how I think about it.”

EX-TRUMP AIDE JOHN MCENTEE EMERGED AS UNLIKELY TIKTOK STAR BY ‘CALLING OUT THE CRAZINESS’ IN AMERICA

But Noparvar isn’t just a random guy dining alone in his Tesla, and his impassioned reviews can impact restaurants’ fortunes by generating millions of social media interactions across multiple platforms. A 2023 video of Noparvar eating Jollibee fried chicken was viewed a staggering 18.4 million times on TikTok, but he said reviews of local establishments are just as likely to go viral as nationwide chains if they land a glowing review on @how.kev.eats social media account.

Some small businesses have even received such a sudden flood of new in-person customers that they struggle to keep up with the demand after being featured on @how.kev.eats accounts.

Noparvar is based in Los Angeles and Easy Street Burgers and DTown Pizza are among his favorite local establishments, but he also travels to popular establishments across America to offer his take.

When Noparvar doesn’t enjoy a meal, he’s willing to “go in” on and harshly scold fast food chains, such as when he called Whataburger “straight-up garbage,” but he makes sure to offer constructive criticism that won’t destroy mom-and-pop establishments.

Noparvar has always been passionate about food and briefly attended culinary school after high school, but quickly decided it was “too intense” and ditched it to study social sciences at University of Southern California. Then he tried his luck as a real estate agent, but he started to feel burned out as his side project of creating content on social media began to take off.

“I just decided, ‘You know what? I’m going to go full force, and even though I made no money, basically, I went ahead and did it, and it was the best decision I think I had ever made,” Noparvar said.

The 31-year-old Noparvar, who lived with his parents until he was 29, began generating enough income from his content over the past two years to officially declare it his job, even if he had lofty ambitions long before he was able to get his own place.

“I actually always thought this could be a career for me because Food Network’s been doing it forever, and I was one of the kids that would be up till two or three in the morning watching food shows instead of watching cartoons or superhero movies or anything like that,” he said.

“I noticed there was a very big shift in the way people consume content. So, I realized my generation, and the generation after me, was starting to consume most of their content on their cell phone,” Noparvar continued. “So, I knew there was kind of an opportunity there to be what Food Network was for me.”

MAN BEHIND SUPER 70S SPORTS WENT FROM ‘BORED COLLEGE PROFESSOR’ TO OUTKICK HOST WITH NOSTALGIC HUMOR

Noparvar said food is “both a necessity and a luxury,” which opens a lot of doors for compelling social media content that interests people from all walks of life. He believes his content resonates because people use food for everything from relieving stress and detaching from reality to building muscle and simply refueling. When people have priorities and opinions about the same thing, it often leads to captivating discourse.

“It’s a lot like art,” he said.

“There could be 10 people in a room, and they could all be eating the same dish, and all ten people could be thinking about the dish completely differently. One person could hate it. One person could think it has too much salt. One person could think it’s the best dish they’ve ever eaten in their life. Another person could say it’s lacking acid, etc., and they have all these different avenues of where you could take the logic behind the dish,” Noparvar added.  “I think it’s so fascinating to see how different people interpret the same exact thing, and that’s what drives me.”

Archaeologists uncover 250-year-old items tied to the American Revolution

Archaeologists working at Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, Massachusetts, unearthed a piece of American history tied to the “shot heard round the world.”

Five musket balls were discovered and believed to be fired at British forces by colonial militia members during the North Bridge fight, Jarrad Fuoss, Minute Man park ranger and historic weapons specialist, confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The ammunition was found in an area where British soldiers formed up to resist the river crossing and analysis indicates that each one was fired from the opposite side of the river, not dropped during the process of reloading, according the National Park Service (NPS).

THEODORE ROOSEVELT’S STOLEN POCKET WATCH RECOVERED BY FBI AFTER IT WAS MISSING FOR 37 YEARS

The North Bridge battle site is located within the park and marks the moment when local militia leaders ordered members to fire upon their own government’s soldiers for the first time on April 19, 1775.

“These musket balls can be considered collectively as ‘The Shot Heard Round the World,’ and it is incredible that they have survived this long. It is also a poignant reminder that we are all stewards of this battlefield and are here to preserve and protect our shared history,” Fuoss said.

Fuoss said the musket balls were made of lead, which was very common at the time period, as others could be comprised of different metals.

The fighting at the North Bridge lasted under 3 minutes, leaving 18 men dead or wounded, the NPS reported on its website.

Three British soldiers were killed in the battle, and they remain buried in Concord.

A Daughters of the American Revolution spokesperson told Fox News Digital the “news of the historic musket balls found in Concord is so exciting.”

“Discovery of important artifacts like this is a great way to help pique interest in American history. We love that this incredible finding has brought more attention to telling the story of the Revolutionary War, especially as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our country’s independence,” said the spokesperson.

Fuoss also shared his excitement about the timing of the find.

“We found them on the cusp of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, while much of the country is looking towards 2026 as the Declaration of Independence 250th, our anniversary is next April 2025,” he said.

“So, we’re already in full swing commemorating the 250th anniversary of the revolution, and we will be continuing to do so all the way through next year and beyond, because this starts an eight-year war.”

The archaeologists who found the musket balls were conducting compliance activities in preparation for the park’s Great American Outdoors Act project.

“We were not expecting to find them. We weren’t looking for them. We were just trying to make sure there was nothing going to be damaged because the park is working on updating some of our infrastructure,” said Fuoss.

The Great American Outdoors Act seeks to address the maintenance and repair of national parks. The law helps make  enhancements to national parks to ensure “preservation and provide opportunities for recreation, education and enjoyment for current and future visitors,” according to the NPS.

Guests can see the musket balls themselves on Archeology Day at Minute Man National Historical Park on Saturday, July 13.

George Clooney’s Hollywood career in spotlight after swiping Biden in op-ed

George Clooney has become embroiled in politics ahead of his onscreen reunion with Brad Pitt later this year.

On Wednesday, Clooney penned an op-ed for the New York Times, in which he called on President Biden to step down in the wake of his performance at the presidential debate against Donald Trump last month.

“I love Joe Biden. As a senator. As a vice president and as president. I consider him a friend, and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. In the last four years, he’s won many of the battles he’s faced,” Clooney wrote.

“But the one battle he cannot win is the fight against time. None of us can. It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe “big F-ing deal” Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same man we all witnessed at the debate.”

CNN’S JAKE TAPPER STUNNED BY BIDEN CAMPAIGN’S KNOCK AT GEORGE CLOONEY: ‘WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?’

Clooney continued, “We are not going to win in November with this president. On top of that, we won’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the Senate. This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor who I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying publicly.”

Last month, Clooney held a star-studded Los Angeles fundraiser for Biden that included Julia Roberts, Barbra Streisand, Jack Black, Jason Bateman, Kathryn Hahn and Mindy Kaling, per Vanity Fair.

The event raised a record-breaking $30 million dollars, according to the Biden campaign.

A week before the fundraiser, Clooney reportedly called the White House about Biden’s critique of the International Criminal Court (ICC) seeking an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a case that his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney, worked on.

The Washington Post first reported that the “Ocean’s Eleven” star called Steve Ricchetti, counselor to the president, to push back on Biden’s dismissal of arrest warrants sought by the ICC targeting Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Clooney criticized Trump in his op-ed as well, saying, “We all think Republicans should abandon their nominee now that he’s been convicted of 34 felonies” and called his campaign a “revenge tour.”

Trump fired back Thursday on Truth Social, mocking Clooney’s film career.

“So now fake movie actor George Clooney, who never came close to making a great movie, is getting into the act,” Trump wrote on his social media platform. “He’s turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are. What does Clooney know about anything?”

“Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television,” he added. “Movies never really worked for him!!!”

Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for Clooney, but they did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Clooney’s foray into politics is far from his first, but it happens to come before his big onscreen reunion with his “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star Brad Pitt.

The film, “Wolfs,” features the duo playing fixers who are hired to cover up crimes, reluctantly brought together when they end up on the same job. It will be the first time in 16 years they’ve appeared on-screen together since 2008’s “Burn After Reading.”

In 2005, Clooney wrote, directed and starred in “Good Night, and Good Luck,” about journalist Edward R. Murrow challenging Sen. Joseph McCarthy on his fearmongering and ethically dubious communism witch hunt.

It was one of his first more overtly political stances in Hollywood. At a screening of the film at the 43rd New York Film Festival, Clooney said, “I thought it was a good time to raise the idea of using fear to stifle political debate.”

In 2006, he earned three Oscar nominations, for best director and best original screenplay for “Good Night and Good Luck,” and one in the best supporting actor category for his role in “Syriana,” based on a former CIA agent’s memoir of serving in the Middle East.

Clooney won for “Syriana” and spoke out about Hollywood being considered “out of touch” at the time.

BRAD PITT, GEORGE CLOONEY, TOM CRUISE: HOLLYWOOD LEADING MEN AGING GRACEFULLY

“I would say we are a little bit out of touch in Hollywood every once in a while. It’s probably a good thing,” he told the audience. “We’re the ones who talk about AIDS when it was just being whispered, and we talked about civil rights when it wasn’t really popular, we bring up subjects, we’re the ones … this Academy, this group of people gave Hattie McDaniel an Oscar in 1939 when Blacks were still sitting in the backs of theaters. I’m proud to be a part of this Academy, proud to be part of this community, proud to be out of touch. Thank you so much for this.”

Clooney earned the best actor Oscar nominations for “Michael Clayton,” “Up in the Air” and “The Descendants.”

He also continued working behind the camera, writing, directing, producing and starring in films like “Leatherheads,” “The Ides of March” and “The Monuments Men.”

Clooney also picked up a best picture Oscar for “Argo,” having worked as a producer alongside Ben Affleck, who also directed and starred.

During his Hollywood career, Clooney endorsed Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential runs and Hillary Clinton during her 2016 campaign.

For his 2017 film, “Suburbicon,” Clooney revealed he had been inspired by an “angry” America after Trump’s presidential campaign and win.

“A lot of us are angry, angry at ourselves, angry at the way that the country is going, angry at the way the world is going,” he told reporters during the Venice Film Festival.

“It’s probably the angriest I have ever seen the country, and I lived through the Watergate period of time,” Clooney added. “There is a dark cloud hanging over our country right now.”

The film starred Damon and Julianne Moore, a couple living in a stereotypical, all-White 1950s suburban neighborhood that erupts in anger when a Black family moves in.

“The genesis of the screenplay [came when] I was watching a lot of [Trump] speeches on the campaign trail about building fences and scapegoating minorities, and I started looking around at other times in our history when we’ve unfortunately fallen back into these things, and I found this story that happened in Levittown, Pennsylvania,” Clooney said.

Clooney took a Hollywood break after “Suburbicon,” after welcoming his twins with Amal, Ella and Alexander in 2017.

In 2020, Clooney directed, produced, and starred in the film “The Midnight Sky,” and followed that up with directing and producing the 2021 Ben Affleck film “The Tender Bar.”

“I turned 60 this year and I had a conversation with my wife, and we were working a lot, as we both do, and I said we have to think of these as the halcyon years,” he said. “In 20 years, I will be 80, and that’s a real number, doesn’t matter how much you work out, what you eat, you’re 80, and so I said we have to make sure we enjoy and live these years in the best possible way.”
