A trough of low pressure is bringing showers and severe squally thunderstorms to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary.
Forecast Description
Mainly cloudy with showers and a few severe squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at first. Temperatures will range between 24 and 28 degrees tomorrow. Moderate southerly winds, becoming east to northeasterlies tomorrow night.
It will be windier and there will still be a few showers on Saturday. Slightly cooler in the morning over the weekend. Sunny periods in the following couple of days, hot during the day.

Thunderstorm Warning issued at 6:50 p.m. on 24 Apr 2025 will remain in force until 10:00 p.m. today. A few severe squally thunderstorms are expected to occur over Hong Kong.
Violent gusts reaching 90 kilometres per hour or above may affect Hong Kong.
Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when thunderstorms occur:
1. Seek safe shelter immediately if you are staying outdoors.
2. Leave the water. Do not swim outdoors or engage in other outdoor water sports.
3. Do not stand on high grounds. Keep away from highly conductive objects, trees or masts.
4. Take precautions against violent gusts. Beware of flying debris and falling objects.
5. Drivers using highways and flyovers should reduce speed to be alert to violent gusts.
