Young conservatives restore Kirk mural with Bible verses after vandalism
PENSACOLA, Fla. – In true Charlie Kirk fashion, a group of young people took matters into their own hands after a mural honoring the late conservative leader was defaced with vile messages.
With cans of spray paint in hand, the group added Bible verses and positive notes to what’s known as Graffiti Bridge in Pensacola, Florida – an ever-changing local landmark that often features art, declarations of love, tributes, encouragement, drawings, insignias and more.
“We just wanted to come out here and kind of show our support and make sure that the mural looks nice and pretty,” Hannah Alfredson said. “We just want to put some positive encouraging messages on there for Charlie Kirk.”
The original mural featured a smiling Kirk with the message “Rest in Peace Charlie Kirk.” Following a community vigil Sunday night, vandals struck.

Under the cover of darkness, vandals defaced the memorial, writing messages like “a good Nazi is a dead Nazi” and “womp womp.” The phrase “Free Palestine” was scrawled across Kirk’s face.
“It’s very disrespectful and so my goal when I came out was to, at bare minimum, cover it, and leave a blank canvas for hopefully less vulgar things,” Mason Vickers, who added several Bible verses to the covered mural, said.
Ben Uitzetter agreed. He said the defacing of the mural was “not okay.”
VIGILS HELD ACROSS US AFTER ASSASSINATION OF CHARLIE KIRK: ‘WE MUST HEAL’
“People come by here, probably thousands of people with their kids. You have 5-year-olds, little kids seeing that kind of stuff. You know?” Uitzetter added.
Kirk, a husband and father of two, was assassinated while speaking at a campus event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Kirk founded Turning Point USA and was a leading voice in the conservative Christian movement. He spoke openly and boldly about his faith in Jesus Christ – a message that resonated with Vickers.
“I think Charlie spoke for very many, so like myself, I’m 25 years old, I am blue collar, I’m just kind of a working guy, you know, didn’t go to college, I went to a trade school,” he said. “He also kind of embodied everything that the average person was there for… it’s work hard, do your best and try to get as far as you can.”
CHARLIE KIRK MOURNED BY WORLD LEADERS AFTER SHOCKING UTAH ASSASSINATION
Vickers said he had a message for the people that defaced the mural with vulgar messages.
“First, I would like to say I’m praying for you,” he said. “The celebration of any human’s death is vile and honestly evil. I pray that God touches your heart and opens your eyes.”
Vickers said Kirk was all about speech, welcoming anyone who disagreed with him to debate.

“A lot of the people who are cheering on his death… like to paint him as a fascist,” Vickers said. “Open debate and free speech is the complete opposite direction of fascism. In fact, silencing someone, particularly with death – someone who disagrees with you – is arguably the most fascist thing that can be done.”
FBI investigates possible accomplices in Charlie Kirk shooting, cites ideological motive
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said Monday that investigators are probing whether Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin acted alone or as part of a broader plot, while also revealing troubling signs that the suspect had been “taken over” by ideology leading up to the shooting.
Bongino told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” that although one suspect is in custody, the bureau is “looking into” possible accomplices.
“If this was a larger effort, if there was any aiding and abetting, whether it be financial or someone who knew the specifics of it and failed to report that, we’re looking into that,” he told Bill Hemmer Monday. “There’s not going to be a stone left unturned.”
KASH PATEL’S FALSE START ON CHARLIE KIRK KILLER DRAWS SCRUTINY, BUT FBI NABBED SUSPECT IN THE END
Investigators are scrutinizing video showing the gunman leaping from a rooftop after the fatal shot. Bongino said the video was critical in helping the agency crack the case.
“When you’re watching the video, it appears that the gun is either in the backpack or on him,” he said. “This is where we got a significant portion of the forensic evidence, which was the key piece of information that cracked this thing open.”

The deputy director confirmed reports that the suspect had voiced violent intentions before the attack.
“You see this a lot in targeted violence cases, assassinations, school shootings, where the individual expresses in advance his desire to do these specific things. That appears to be the case here as well,” he said.
ENGRAVINGS ON SHOOTER’S AMMO EXPOSES CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION MOTIVE
Family and coworkers, Bongino revealed, told investigators the suspect had grown more political and withdrawn in the time leading up to the Sept. 10 assassination of 31-year-old Kirk.
“It appears from the data we’ve accumulated that this ideology had infected him and had taken over,” Bongino said. “He was intent on making Charlie his target and people may have known in advance.”
TIMELINE OF CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION
While stressing that the case is still developing, Bongino said the motive is clear: “It’s fairly obvious this was an ideologically motivated attack.”
“Charlie Kirk is a conservative commentator who sadly and tragically gave his life underneath a sign asking people to challenge his ideas, the very essence of our constitutional republic,” he said.

Bongino, who described Kirk as a close personal friend, added that the FBI’s rapid response should reassure the public.
“We got our guy in 33 hours. Next time, when there’s a crisis, we’ll look at what we can do well and what we can do better,” he said. “We can do better than that.”
Former senator reveals Biden’s explosive threat: ‘I will never speak to you again’
Former Sen. Joe Manchin, I-W.Va., wanted Republicans to win the Senate last year in order to prevent Democrats’ pursuit of “raw political power.”
In his new book, “Dead Center: In Defense of Common Sense,” set to be released on Tuesday and obtained by Fox News Digital, the former West Virginia Democrat-turned-Independent ripped into his ex-political party, tore into former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden and blasted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., while lauding the relationship that he had with President Donald Trump.
Manchin made waves when he and former Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, who also left the Democratic Party to become an Independent, bucked Schumer and voted against the move to nuke the Senate filibuster in 2022.
SCHUMER SILENT AS VAN HOLLEN BLASTS ‘SPINELESS’ NY DEMOCRATS OVER MAMDANI SNUB
He recalled that vote in his book and the pressure he felt from Schumer and Senate Democrats to fall in line on that and other key votes during Biden’s presidency.
Manchin accused Schumer of wanting a vote he “could broadcast to the radical left to prove his loyalty” and said the then-Senate majority leader didn’t actually believe that getting rid of the filibuster was the right thing to do, but rather to fulfill his “only priority” of maintaining control of the Senate.
“Because of what I knew — and what I had seen firsthand — I wanted Republicans to win the Senate majority in 2024,” Manchin wrote. “I believed it was the only hope for preserving the Senate as an institution. I truly believed that, if in power, Republicans would uphold the filibuster, the last guardrail preventing total partisan rule.”
DEMOCRATS FRET RETURN OF JOE BIDEN, KAMALA HARRIS TO SPOTLIGHT AS PARTY TRIES TO ‘TURN THE PAGE’: REPORT
“Schumer and the Democrats had already shown their hand — eliminating the filibuster would have been their first order of business,” he continued. “They had no interest in protecting the Senate’s role as the deliberative body. They only cared about raw political power.”
The quest to end the filibuster is also why Manchin wouldn’t endorse former Vice President Kamala Harris in her run against Trump.
“She knew this was the Holy Grail and the only hope we have to preserve any bipartisanship and maintain our democracy,” Manchin said.
He also outlined an early fight he had with Biden where, when Democrats were trying to ram through the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan in the early months of his presidency in an evenly-divided Senate, Manchin rejected it.
Biden ripped into Manchin for standing in the way of an early victory.
EX-NBC NEWS HOST CHUCK TODD LAMENTS DEMOCRATIC PARTY A ‘COLLECTION OF PEOPLE THAT DON’T LIKE TRUMP’
“As the drama began, I got a call from the president, and was he hot,” Manchin wrote. “‘If you kill this f— bill, I will never speak to you again,’ he promised. Anyone who knows Joe Biden — and I have known him for a very long time —knows he’s got a very bad temper. He calls it his ‘Irish.’ I call it unfortunate. But if he was going there, so was I.”
“‘Your actions are reckless,’ I spat back. ‘You’re sending a f— check to everyone. And if you missed anyone, it was only by mistake.’”
The legislation ultimately passed after a compromise was reached, but Manchin noted that he later regretted “capitulating on the American Rescue Plan.”

He also described having a far better relationship with Trump, who he considered a fellow “outsider,” than Obama, and noted that Obama reached out to him twice during his entire presidency: once after he won re-election to the Senate in 2012 and again in 2015 to persuade him from voting against his nuclear deal with Iran.
“From the start, President Trump had an open line of communication with me. I spoke to him more in the first two years of his presidency than I did to President Obama during all eight years of his time in office,” Manchin said.
LaBeouf reveals threatening Trump supporter Jon Voight with ‘fist fight’ over politics
Actor Shia LaBeouf opened up about reconciling with his “Megalopolis” co-star Jon Voight over the latter’s conservative politics during an interview Monday about the making of the movie.
The 39-year-old actor was one of several people who took part in the documentary “Megadoc,” a film detailing the making of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola’s massive 2024 box office flop, “Megalopolis.” In the project, LaBeouf described how he ultimately began reaching out to Voight after the two had a falling out years prior over politics.
“I was in the midst of doing my ninth step in this program I’m in, and I had to go make amends to Voight because Voight’s politics and mine are very different. I love him very much,” LaBeouf said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
‘INDIANA JONES’ ACTOR SHIA LABEOUF SHARES STORY OF HIS GROWING CATHOLIC FAITH: ‘GIVES ME HOPE’
LaBeouf and Voight previously starred together in the 2003 film “Holes” and the 2007 blockbuster “Transformers.” LaBeouf recalled Voight taking him under his wing and teaching him about acting before Donald Trump’s first election in 2016.
During Trump’s presidency, LaBeouf revealed he threatened Voight over politics before cutting him out of his life.
“We had a big fight on the phone where I told him I was going to come to his house, and we were going to fist fight, and I hung up the phone,” LaBeouf said. “Didn’t talk to him for years.”
Voight, a longtime conservative, endorsed Trump in both of his presidential campaigns, standing apart from the largely left-leaning entertainment industry. Earlier this year, Voight, along with Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone, were named as “special ambassadors” to Hollywood by Trump as a plan to revitalize the film and television industry and “Make Hollywood Great Again.”

By contrast, LaBeouf launched an anti-Trump art exhibit titled “He Will Not Divide Us” in 2017 on the day of Trump’s first inauguration. It featured a camera placed on a wall outside of the museum with the phrase written in bold lettering, encouraging participants to recite the chant in protest against Trump.
The exhibit debuted in Queens, New York, but was taken down a month later due to public safety concerns. LaBeouf had the project moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where it lasted less than a week before being vandalized.
After making amends, LaBeouf offered more kind words regarding his relationship with Voight.

Trump orders military to blow up Venezuelan narcoterrorists in bold sea operation
President Donald Trump announced the U.S. military had carried out a second strike on Venezuelan cartels as the administration continues its crackdown.
Trump shared a video of what he called a Kinetics Strike which resulted in the death of three male terrorists.
Posting on Truth Social Trump said:
“This morning, on my Orders, U.S. Military Forces conducted a SECOND Kinetic Strike against positively identified, extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. The Strike occurred while these confirmed narcoterrorists from Venezuela were in International Waters transporting illegal narcotics (A DEADLY WEAPON POISONING AMERICANS!) headed to the U.S.”

Outlining how the cartels pose a threat to the nation’s security, Trump confirmed several terrorists had been killed in the strike.
“These extremely violent drug trafficking cartels POSE A THREAT to U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy, and vital U.S. Interests. The Strike resulted in 3 male terrorists killed in action. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this Strike. BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU! The illicit activities by these cartels have wrought DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES ON AMERICAN COMMUNITIES FOR DECADES, killing millions of American Citizens. NO LONGER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!”
RUBIO SAYS TRUMP ‘WANTS TO WAGE WAR’ ON VENEZUELAN DRUG TRAFFICKERS: ‘BLOW THEM UP IF THAT’S WHAT IT TAKES’
The first strike against a suspected Tren de Aragua drug boat happened Sept. 2. and left 11 suspected narcoterrorists dead after being hit in the southern Caribbean.
At the time, Secretary of State Marco Rubio indicated on a visit to Ecuador that the U.S. and its allies were working on a tougher approach to cartels.
He said that “cooperative governments” would help the U.S. identify drug traffickers and “blow them up, if that’s what it takes.”

During an interview with Fox News on Monday, Rubio also stated the president had been clear about putting an end to drug trafficking.
“Interdiction alone is not going to stop these drug traffickers,” he told Gillian Turner during an exclusive interview in Jerusalem.
“They don’t mind losing 2% or 3% of their shipments. They’ve already sort of baked that into their economic plan. What needs to start happening is some of these boats need to get blown up. Some of these boats need to be not just intercepted but stopped,” Rubio said.

“All you have to do is look at the cargo,” he said. “It was spattered all over the ocean. Big bags of cocaine and fentanyl all over the place,” he said.
“We know what time they were leaving, when they were leaving, what they had, and all the other things that you’d like to have,” Trump added.
Maher says he ‘cant stop thinking’ about Kirk’s death, recalls their friendly interview
Liberal host Bill Maher mourned the killing of conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, contrasting conservatives who embrace dialogue with far-left activists who, he argued, seek to silence it.
“Look, I might drink a little more than usual today,” Maher told guest Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. “Because I don’t know when this is airing, but this is a s— day. A guy who sat there – Charlie Kirk – got shot today, and I can’t stop thinking about it.”
Kirk’s assassination during a campus event stunned the nation and reignited a national conversation about the value of political dialogue – even across deeply divided ideological lines.
“Neither can I,” Corgan replied.
JOE ROGAN SHOCKED ON-AIR BY CHARLIE KIRK’S DEATH, LAMENTS LOSS OF ‘REASONABLE’ LEADER WHO PROMOTED OPEN DEBATE
“And we shouldn’t,” Maher continued, before addressing liberals who openly celebrated Kirk’s death. “And if you’re on the other side of the political divide, and you don’t care because the wrong team guy got shot – f— you. You’re what’s wrong with this country.”
Maher reiterated that he still identifies as an “old-school liberal” but remains sharply critical of what he sees as the far left’s dominance over modern progressive politics.
“As I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person – you’re just why she lost,” Maher said.
I’M A DEMOCRAT, AND CHARLIE KIRK’S MURDER MUST UNITE ALL AMERICANS AGAINST VIOLENCE
He went on to highlight the divide between conservatives and the far left on the issue of political dialogue:
“They’re the people who don’t want to talk,” Maher said. “Charlie Kirk was always willing to engage – I talked to him here. Say what you want about right-wingers, but they’ll talk to you. The left has more of a, ‘I won’t talk to you. You’re deplorable. I can’t break bread with you.’ Right-wingers don’t have that attitude.”
Maher emphasized that disagreement does not negate humanity. “Now again, I didn’t vote for them. Charlie Kirk and I certainly don’t agree on much politically. But he sat here. He’s a human being. He’s not a monster.”

“And a husband, and a father,” Corgan added.
“Yes. And I liked him – I like them all. They’re all nice people when you meet them in person. Nobody’s as crazy as they’re made out to be,” Maher said, stressing that both sides must take responsibility for their own extremists if political violence is to be stopped.
“Violence has to be off the table,” Corgan agreed, warning that peace should never be taken for granted and pointing to countries still plagued by sectarian political violence.

NFL legend reveals ‘manageable’ disease battle affecting millions of Americans
Pro Football Hall of Famer and Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino had a wake-up call in 2007 when he received a personal health diagnosis.
Now, he’s sharing his journey to help others who may be affected as well.
Marino learned that year he had been diagnosed with Metabolic Dysfunction Associated Steatosis Hepatitis (MASH), also known as fatty liver disease. In partnership with Novo Nordisk and its Unordinary Stories campaign, Marino joined a group of former athletes to share their journeys.

“Novo Nordisk is a company that I wanted to get involved with because they’re trying to make a difference,” he told Fox News Digital on Monday. “There’s one in 20 Americans that have fatty liver disease, MASH, and 15 million Americans have that. It’s an awareness campaign to basically make people aware to go see your doctor, and it’s something that’s manageable.”
BRETT FAVRE PRAISES FELLOW HALL OF FAMER DEION SANDERS AFTER CANCER NEWS: ‘HE’S A GRINDER’
While Marino wouldn’t reveal the stories of fellow athletes in the Unordinary Stories campaign, the project allows greats like him the opportunity to share significant life moments and transitions that often happen behind the scenes. And, of course, with any life change, there’s support along the way.
For Marino, the diagnosis may have come as a shock, but he was positive after hearing what his doctor had to say.
“It’s manageable with early detection,” he said. “So, go to your doctor and get your normal checkups like you always do. Diet and exercise are always the big thing.”
Marino, who finished top 10 in NFL all-time passing yards and touchdowns after 17 seasons, pointed to a lesson in sports that has helped him since learning of his diagnosis.
“There’s one thing I always take away from football, athletics and sports: that’s being positive,” he said. “Look forward and look for answers and see what you can do and how you can be the best you can be. I would say I understood this is an issue, they let me know. But the biggest part is that it is manageable and it’s dealing with that.
“Once again, having that great attitude and doing the things you need to do to take care of yourself. There’s a lot of examples of that in everybody’s life, there really are.”

Today, Marino continues to exercise and stick to a healthy diet to manage his MASH. He turned 64 on Monday, and with the support of his wife, Claire, he continues to be proactive in reshaping his lifestyle.

Sweeney’s Emmy appearance came on the heels of her controversial collaboration with American Eagle for their fall clothing campaign, titled “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.”
In one version of the ad, Sweeney stated: “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”
While some dubbed the campaign as “tone-deaf” due to the alleged racial undertones, others have praised the actress for killing “woke” advertising.
American Eagle later defended Sweeney amid the backlash, but removed the controversial video from the brand’s social media accounts.

Liberal outlet admits Melania Trump article ‘did not meet our standards’
The Daily Beast issued a public apology to first lady Melania Trump and retracted an article that alleged she was introduced to her husband, President Donald Trump, via a modeling agent connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The outlet acknowledged the story, which relied on allegations by journalist Michael Wolff, did not meet editorial standards. It was initially pulled in July after the left-leaning site received a legal threat from the first lady’s attorney challenging “the headline and framing.” The Daily Beast formally apologized on Monday in a statement that Melania Trump shared on X.
“The Daily Beast recently published a story headlined ‘Melania Trump ‘Very Involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author’ based on an interview with Michael Wolff. Upon reflection, we have determined that the article did not meet our standards and has therefore been removed from our platforms,” The Daily Beast said in a statement.
DAILY BEAST PULLS STORY ALLEGING MELANIA-EPSTEIN CONNECTION AFTER LAWYERS DISPUTE FRAMING
“In response to a letter from the first lady’s attorneys, The Daily Beast has also removed a portion of an episode of The Daily Beast Podcast titled ‘Trump’s Epstein Scandal Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ referencing the first lady,” the statement continued. “The first lady points to her bestselling book Melania as the definitive account of her life story. We apologize to the first lady and our readers.”
Wolff initially made the allegations in an interview with Daily Beast chief content officer Joanna Coles for The Daily Beast Podcast. They were discussing Trump’s alleged connections with Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in 2019.
“[Melania] was very involved in this Epstein relationship. There is this model thing, and she’s introduced by a model agent, both of whom Trump and Epstein are involved with. She’s introduced to Trump that way, Epstein knows her well,” Wolff alleged.
JEFFREY EPSTEIN THROWN OUT OF MAR-A-LAGO FOR HIRING THE HELP: TRUMP
Wolff did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In July, he told Fox News Digital that he had nothing to do with the article.
Wolff’s reporting style and credibility in the journalism industry has long faced scrutiny. In 2018, the journalist told Bill Maher he had evidence that Trump was having an affair and claimed that a clue to his mistress’ identity could be found at the end of his White House tell-all “Fire and Fury.”
Readers identified passages that seemed to implicate then-United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley. Haley called the insinuation “disgusting” and “highly offensive.”

In a subsequent interview on “Morning Joe,” Wolff denied that he ever insinuated Haley was having an affair with Trump, but then said he “found it puzzling that she would deny something she was not accused of,” prompting co-host Mika Brzezinski to accuse him of “having fun… slurring a woman” and end the interview abruptly.
Multiple figures in Trump’s orbit also denied having made quotes attributed to them in “Fire and Fury.”
