Trump heads to Capitol Hill to push GOP on passing ‘big, beautiful’ tax bill
President Donald Trump is headed to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to push Republicans toward passing his “big, beautiful bill.”
Trump’s visit comes as House Republicans are split between spending hawks who want to cut more of the deficit and moderates who are seeking expanded tax deductions for Americans. Trump himself pushed tax cuts in a statement on Monday.
“If we don’t get it, that means the Democrats will have stopped us. And that means people will get a 68% tax increase, the largest in history. And if we do get it, we’re going to have the largest tax decrease in history,” Trump said.
The House Rules Committee is set to vote on the bill just after midnight tonight after the House Budget Committee approved the bill earlier this week.
ANTI-ABORTION PROVIDER MEASURE IN TRUMP’S ‘BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL’ COULD SPARK HOUSE GOP REBELLION
If the legislation passes through the House, it will face another – perhaps tougher – battle in the Senate, where some lawmakers have floated breaking up the bill to pass certain priorities more quickly.
Trump urged Republicans to “STOP TALKING, AND GET IT DONE” in a post on social media this week.
BROWN UNIVERSITY IN GOP CROSSHAIRS AFTER STUDENT’S DOGE-LIKE EMAIL KICKS OFF FRENZY
Trump will attend the House Republicans’ weekly meeting on the Hill, but it is not clear whether he will meet with individual holdouts directly.
Meanwhile, Democrats argue the legislation is a handout for the wealthiest Americans.
“They literally are trying to take health care away from millions of Americans at this very moment in the dead of night,” House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Monday.
“If this legislation is designed to make life better for the American people, can someone explain to me why they would hold a hearing to advance the bill at 1 a.m. in the morning?” he added.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan fiscal watchdog group, estimates that the House bill is shaping up to add roughly $3.3 trillion to the debt over the next decade.
Social media erupts after Schumer blames Trump for deadly Brooklyn Bridge shipwreck
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was ripped on social media over the weekend for suggesting President Donald Trump was partially to blame for a Mexican Navy ship losing control and crashing into the Brooklyn Bridge.
“After being fully briefed on last night’s Brooklyn Bridge accident, one thing is predominantly clear: there are more questions than answers as it relates to exactly how this accident occurred,” Schumer said in a press release after a 150-foot-tall Mexican Navy training ship, Cuauhtémoc, reportedly experienced a mechanical issue before its masts crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge, killing two cadets on the ship.
“Bridges serve as critical transportation arteries for commerce, emergency response, and daily travel, and many span key waterways that are vulnerable to both natural and man-made threats. The Coast Guard plays a crucial role in monitoring and securing these areas, deterring potential terrorist attacks, preventing illegal activities, and responding quickly to emergencies,” Schumer wrote. “At the same time, maintaining the structural integrity and safety of America’s bridges is critical to the economy and the well-being of communities. A failure or attack on a major bridge could disrupt supply chains, endanger lives, and cause massive economic losses. It is unacceptable that the Trump administration is potentially jeopardizing our national and economic security – as well as American lives.”
Schumer went on to point to the DOGE-implemented hiring freeze at the Coast Guard, arguing it could have impeded the Coast Guard’s Vehicle Traffic System, which works in a similar fashion to the air traffic control system.
TRUMP SAYS ‘THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG’ WITH TOP DEMOCRAT HE’S KNOWN ‘A LONG TIME’
Schumer’s claim drew immediate criticism from conservatives on social media as well as the Department of Homeland Security.
“Minority Leader Schumer’s accusations that a hiring freeze led to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Vessel Traffic Services not being adequately staffed are FALSE,” the official DHS account posted on X.
“The US Coast Guard has been fully supported and been exempt from hiring freezes. Additionally, this incident had nothing to do with Vessel Traffic Services— when a ship loses propulsion in a high current area, the vessel needs to engage all capabilities to stop and ideally tugs are nearby to support. We encourage Minority Leader Schumer to get his facts straight before he misleads the American people.”

Former Biden advisor says he did not suddenly develop cancer in 100 days
Former Biden COVID advisor and Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel said Monday that former President Joe Biden likely had cancer since the beginning of his presidency, if not before.
Biden’s office confirmed in a statement on Sunday that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that “was characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”
Based on the advanced state of the cancer, Emanuel, an oncologist, told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Biden would most likely have had the cancer for “more than several years.”
Host Joe Scarborough stopped him to clarify, “So this is not speculation. If you have prostate cancer that has spread to the bone, then most certainly you are saying he had it when he was President of the United States.”
MEDICAL EXPERT ‘ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED’ BY TIMING OF BIDEN’S PROSTATE CANCER DIAGNOSIS
“Oh, yeah. He did not develop it in the last 100-200 days,” Emanuel said. “He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021. I don’t think there’s any disagreement about that.”
Scarborough pointed out how some men over the age of 70 choose not to get a prostate exam but added “most men aren’t President of the United States.”
Emanuel said that it’s often a discussion between patients and doctors but agreed it’s concerning when it involves a sitting president.
“President Obama had this test. President Bush had this test. It is a little surprising that the doctor didn’t take it. And if he took it and didn’t report it, and it was elevated, that is another case of doctors not being straightforward with us – we’ve had several of them with President Trump, especially around his COVID diagnosis – and if that is true, that would be very troubling,” Emanuel said.
CNN’S AXELROD SUGGESTS DISCUSSIONS AROUND BIDEN’S MENTAL ACUITY SHOULD BE SET ASIDE AMID CANCER DIAGNOSIS
He added that it was possible for a test to miss this stage of cancer but called it “unlikely.”
“Either they didn’t test for it, or they test for it [and] they didn’t report it. And we didn’t get the information as a public,” Emanuel said.

Retired four-star Navy admiral convicted in military’s highest-level bribery case
A retired four-star admiral who once served as the Navy’s second-highest ranking officer, was convicted of bribery and other conspiracy charges, making him the most senior member of the U.S. military ever convicted of committing a federal crime while on active duty.
Following a five-day trial, retired four-star Adm. Robert P. Burke, 62, was found guilty on Monday of a scheme to direct lucrative contracts to a training company in exchange for a $500,000-a-year job after leaving the Navy, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.
Burke is facing up to 30 years in prison for his role in the scheme to direct contracts potentially worth millions of dollars to a New York City-based company that offered training programs to the Navy.
“When you abuse your position and betray the public trust to line your own pockets, it undermines the confidence in the government you represent,” U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro wrote in a post on X following the conviction.
RETIRED NAVY ADMIRAL CHARGED WITH BRIBERY FOR ALLEGEDLY OFFERING GOVERNMENT CONTRACT IN EXCHANGE FOR JOB
“Our office, with our law enforcement partners, will root out corruption – be it bribes or illegal contracts – and hold accountable the perpetrators, no matter what title or rank they hold,” Pirro continued.
Burke, who served as vice chief of naval operations, was once the Navy’s second-highest ranking officer.
According to court documents and as the evidence proved at trial, from 2020 to 2022, Burke was a four-star admiral who oversaw U.S. naval operations in Europe, Russia, and most of Africa, and commanded thousands of civilian and military personnel.
Yongchul “Charlie” Kim and Meghan Messenger, co-CEOs of a company not named by the DOJ, allegedly participated in the scheme to get a government contract in exchange for offering Burke a position with the company.
The company provided a training program for a small part of the Navy from 2018 and 2019, before their contract was terminated.
FORMER US ARMY INTELLIGENCE ANALYST SENTENCED FOR SELLING SENSITIVE DOCUMENTS TO CHINESE NATIONAL
The company was told by the Navy not to contact Burke, but the three met in Washington, D.C., in July 2021 and Burke allegedly agreed to use his influence to get the company a sole-source contract and urge other Naval officers to use the company for a more widespread training program that Kim estimated would be worth “triple digit millions.”
In December 2021, Burke allegedly ordered his staff to award the company a $355,000 contract to train Naval personnel under his command in Italy and Spain and made an unsuccessful attempt to convince a senior Naval commander to give them another contract.
“There was no connection between this contract and his employment. The math just doesn’t make sense that he would give them this relatively small contract for that type of job offer,” Burke’s defense attorney, Timothy Parlatore, previously told Fox News Digital.
Burke allegedly implied that he had no role in awarding the contract, and that his discussions with Kim and Messenger didn’t start until after the contract started.
‘FAT LEONARD’ MASTERMIND BEHIND LARGEST CORRUPTION SCANDAL IN US MILITARY HISTORY SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS
Both Kim and Messenger were arrested in May 2024 and were charged with conspiracy to commit bribery and bribery and could face 20 years in prison.
Parlatore told Fox News Digital that they are “obviously disappointed by the verdict,” but said “this is a result of the fact that the jury did not get to hear the whole story.”
“The investigation was very poorly conducted. It was conducted by the exact same investigator who completely screwed up the Fat Leonard case,” Paralore said.

“They didn’t do any research and so you have an incompetent and unethical, corrupt investigator relying upon the word of a known liar, building this terrible case. And ultimately, the only way that they could bring it to a conviction was to only present certain evidence to the jury,” Paralore continued.
Fox News Digital reached out to the DOJ for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Maher warns ‘SNL’ broke key rule of comedy with portrayal of Trump supporters
Talk show host Bill Maher called out liberal writers on “Saturday Night Live” for their portrayal of conservatives, arguing they used an outdated stereotype.
Maher spoke about the current state of American culture with fitness icon and commentator Jillian Michaels in an episode of “Club Random” released on Sunday. After Maher spoke about Trump’s unique appeal as a brash outsider willing to be called “deplorable” by his detractors, Michaels marveled at how Democrats are still tarring his supporters.
“The whole ‘deplorable’” thing,” Michaels said, referring to then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton infamously smearing Trump’s supporters as “a basket of deplorables,” noting, “They’re still doing that.”
Michaels recalled having met outspoken liberal actor Tom Hanks multiple times, saying he was “lovely” in person, but crossed a line with his portrayal of a Trump supporter on “Saturday Night Live.” Hanks portrayed a caricature of an unkempt racist Southerner in a MAGA hat named “Doug” several times on the sketch comedy show. In one famous moment in the recurring “Black Jeopardy” sketch, Doug initially balks at shaking the hand of the Black host, before eventually relenting.
TOM HANKS HAMMERED FOR ‘DISGUSTING’ PORTRAYAL OF WHITE TRUMP SUPPORTER IN SNL SKIT
“I hated it too, and I said it on my show. I know. I hated it. Wearing the MAGA hat, not shaking hands with a Black person. And that’s when I thought, ‘You people don’t know MAGA people,’” Maher said. “I mean, they have their issues and I certainly have my issues with them, but they’re general — I mean, of course, there’s some racists everywhere who are that bad, but generally, all the MAGA people I know have no problem shaking hands with a Black person.”
Maher then appeared to address the people behind such a portrayal by declaring, “You’re just hysterical, and you’re not helping.”
Maher referred to such a smear of Trump supporters as a “zombie lie.”
“Mostly what I hate is, it’s what I call a zombie lie. Don’t lie to me,” he said, again addressing those who smear Trump supporters. “It’s a lie that MAGA people won’t shake hands with — I get it, it’s part of a skit, and it’s exaggeration, and that’s comedy. It’s a little too delicate a subject to just make — to go there for that one. You know, look, we all in comedy step over the line sometimes or do one that they want to take back. I doubt if they want to take that one back. I think they probably think it’s great.”

One of the rules of comedy, said Maher – a comedian himself – is that good jokes have to have some element of observational truth about the world in them.
“But I’m telling you, as a liberal, I don’t like it,” he said. “Again, because lying offends me. I’m a comedian. When the premise isn’t real, I can’t go with — the joke is not gonna work. The premise has to ring true. That premise doesn’t ring true. It might have rang true, I don’t know, X years ago. It doesn’t now. So, you know — but that’s where we are. Everybody has to just play the hate card, because that’s what gets clicks. That’s what gets you loved by your side.”

Christian camp sues Colorado over gender identity licensing requirements
A Christian summer camp that has operated in Colorado for decades is suing the state over new state licensing requirements that the camp says violate its religious beliefs on gender and sexuality.
Camp IdRaHaJe, which derives its name from the hymn, “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” is a Christian children’s summer camp for kids ages 6 to 17. The camp has served Colorado families of all faiths and backgrounds since 1948 and welcomes 2,500 to 3,000 campers each year.
Camp IdRaHaJe filed a complaint in federal court on May 12 challenging new state licensing rules issued by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood that allegedly require children’s resident camps to permit campers access to bathing, dressing and sleeping facilities that align with the camper’s gender identity.
The camp first tried to get a religious exemption, but the department denied their request, according to Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), the legal group representing Camp IdRaHaJe in court.
COLORADO PARENTS UNLOAD ON LIBERAL LAWMAKERS, PROMPTING CHANGES TO CONTROVERSIAL GENDER BILL
ADF claims that the regulations put children at risk and violate the free exercise, establishment, and equal protection clauses of the U.S. Constitution.
“Every child deserves respect of privacy,” ADF senior counsel Ryan Tucker told Fox News Digital, adding, “But that respect of privacy must extend equally to all students. No one should be forced to share a room or showering facilities with someone of the opposite sex.”
“The law ignores reality and children are the ones who ultimately pay the price,” he continued.
Tucker explained that new rules require the Christian camp to abandon its “own faith and mission” in order to continue operating in Colorado.
COLORADO’S ‘TOTALITARIAN’ TRANSGENDERISM BILL SPARKS CONCERNS FROM PARENTS
“The state of Colorado has been quite hostile to people of faith over the past several years,” Tucker said, referencing other religious liberty lawsuits against the state which have gone all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“In particular, they’re trying to ram down this gender ideology to everyone in the state,” he said.
The complaint states that families choose to send their kids to IdRaHaJe because of its Christian “policies, programs and education,” and that families must agree to follow its policies on sex-specific facilities at registration.
Under the new state policy, the camp must choose between upholding its religious beliefs and mission or abandoning these in order to keep its license and continue operating the camp, according to the complaint.
In June, the camp must certify it is complying with all the resident camp regulations and a licensing specialist will also be visiting to inspect the camp to see if it is in compliance, according to the complaint.
Camp IdRaHaJe has decided to continue operating under its current policies even though this risks fines and the loss of its license to operate.
ADF says other children’s resident camps are also expressing concerns about the new state licensing requirements.
The legal group is asking the court to declare that these regulations on gender identity are unconstitutional.
“The government has no place telling religious summer camps that it’s ‘lights out’ for upholding their religious beliefs about human sexuality,” ADF legal counsel Andrea Dill also said in a statement. “Camp IdRaHaJe exists to present the truth of the Gospel to children who are building character and lifelong memories. But the Colorado government is putting its dangerous agenda—that is losing popularity across the globe—ahead of its kids. We are urging the court to allow IdRaHaJe to operate as it has for over 75 years: as a Christian summer camp that accepts all campers without fear of being punished for its beliefs.”
The Colorado Department of Early Childhood said it could not comment on the pending litigation.

There have been several other high-profile religious liberty cases against the state in recent years that have been heard before the U.S. Supreme Court.
In 2018, the high court ruled in favor of Colorado baker Jack Phillips, who was punished by the state after he refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.
In another landmark case before the court in 2023, the Supreme Court ruled that Colorado’s anti-discrimination law cannot force a graphic designer to make wedding websites for same-sex marriages.
Trump talks about Putin’s view on Ukraine war after two-hour phone call
Following his phone calls with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, President Donald Trump appeared confident that peace talks between the two warring nations will soon be progressing.
In response to a reporter’s question outside the White House on Monday, Trump said that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is genuine in his seeking a peace deal.
“President Trump, do you think Vladimir Putin wants peace?” the reporter shouted across the lawn.
Trump stopped and responded: “I do. Yes.”
“Do you still trust Putin?” the reporter continued, to which Trump responded: “I do.”
TRUMP SAYS PUTIN IS ‘TIRED’ OF RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR
Speaking later that same day, after an event honoring fallen law enforcement officers in the White House, Trump said that he believes Putin has “had enough” of the war.
“I think he’s had enough. I think he’s had enough. It’s been a long time. This has been going on for more than three years. When you think, it’s been going on for a long time,” said the president.
Meanwhile, Trump seemed less confident in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Asked whether Zelenskyy is doing enough to help the peace talks process along, Trump responded: “I’d rather tell you in about two weeks from now, because I can’t say yes or no.”
“Look, he’s a strong person, Zelenskyy, a strong guy, and he’s not the easiest person to deal with,” said Trump. “But I think that he wants to stop, and it’s a very bad thing that’s happening over there. I think he wants to stop. But I could answer that question better in two weeks or four weeks from now. I hope the answer is that he wants to get it solved.”
RUSSIA BOMBARDS UKRAINE WITH DRONES HOURS AFTER TRUMP ANNOUNCES TALKS WITH PUTIN
Trump also commented on newly inaugurated Pope Leo XIV, saying he would like to help facilitate peace between the two nations. Trump said that it would be “great” to have the peace talks at the Vatican.
“There’s tremendous bitterness, anger, and I think maybe that could help some of that anger,” said Trump.
Trump and Putin held a two-hour call on Monday in what the U.S. said was a push to get Russia to end its deadly war in Ukraine.
Both Trump and Putin described the call in a positive light, with the Kremlin chief saying it was “frank” and “useful,” but it is not immediately clear what results were achieved.
Trump took to social media to praise the call as having gone “very well” and said, “Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War.”
RUBIO TEASES DETAILS OF POTENTIAL TRUMP, PUTIN IN-PERSON MEETING AFTER RUSSIA-UKRAINE CEASEFIRE TALKS STALL
“The conditions for that will be negotiated between the two parties, as it can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that nobody else would be aware of,” he added.
Putin, in a statement after the call, also noted that “a ceasefire with Ukraine is possible” but “Russia and Ukraine must find compromises that suit both sides.”
Any concrete details on the nature of these compromises remain unclear, despite negotiation attempts in Turkey on Friday, which Trump suggested failed because he needed to negotiate with Putin first.
In the lead up to the talks, Trump also spoke with Zelenskyy, along with other world leaders like U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, who said they discussed the urgent need for Putin to agree to an unconditional ceasefire or face serious repercussions, including more sanctions.

TV personality Kathie Lee Gifford reveals the simple life in Tennessee
Kathie Lee Gifford weighed in on the celebrity exodus from Hollywood.
In 2019, the 71-year-old former TV host moved from Greenwich, Connecticut, to Frankin, Tennessee, after her departure from her morning show “Today,” which films in New York City.
During an interview with Fox News Digital, Gifford shared her thoughts on what has prompted a growing number of stars to embrace simpler lives in more rural parts of the country.
“They’ve had the other, and it’s not fulfilling,” the Q50 ambassador for QVC said on the red carpet at QVC’s TikTok Super Brand Day in Santa Monica, California.
“You get a lot of money, and you notice that by getting a lot of money, they’re able to move someplace where they can have a different kind of lifestyle,” Gifford continued. “They can afford it.”
‘THIS IS US’ STAR CHRISSY METZ LEFT HOLLYWOOD AFTER 2 DECADES, SAYS SHE FOUND A ‘BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE’
“I have a little farm in Tennessee as well as my home there, and I live next to big, big, big stars who have like 15,000 acres,” she added. “I’ve got 10 little acres. I’m so happy there.”
After moving to Franklin, which is on the outskirts of Nashville, the former “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee” host renovated her Tennessee farm to become a French-inspired farm and expanded on the property. Gifford previously told City Life magazine that she named the farm “Orval” after the small town outside of Paris where she was conceived.

While speaking with Fox News Digital, Gifford shared that her farm is a tribute to her late parents, Aaron and Joan Epstein. “The God of the Way” author explained that she hopes her descendants will learn about her parents through the farm, and she plans to tell Aaron and Joan’s story in a future book.
“I’m the only one who has a French farm in Tennessee because I did the whole thing as an homage to my mother and father, who made me in a converted barn in a little village outside of Paris a long, long time ago,” Gifford said. “And I want my children and grandchildren and their grandchildren to know about them.”
“That will be the last book I write,” she continued. “It’s going to be about my mom and dad and what they did. And each one of them would have been a Dickens novel on their own — saddest, saddest experiences in life. And they’re two people that should have never even made it to 21. But they found each other and they found Jesus. And the last part of their life was just unbelievable.”
Prior to relocating to Franklin, Gifford lived in Greenwich for more than a decade, where she raised her two children, Cody, 35, and Cassidy, 31, and remained by the side of her husband of nearly 30 years, NFL legend Frank Gifford, until he died in August 2015 at age 84.
During a 2019 interview with The Tennessean, Gifford reflected on why she decided to leave her home in Greenwich for Tennessee.
“I moved here because I was dying of loneliness,” she admitted.
Gifford recalled how her circumstances had changed after her children left home and she lost her husband. She told the outlet that her home no longer felt like a safe haven for her and all she was left with was an empty house.
“That huge, beautiful, memory-filled home was like a morgue to me,” Gifford said. “Here’s the bad news — I’m a widow, an orphan, and an empty nester. The good news is, I have the freedom of a widow, an orphan and an empty nester.”

While Gifford lives full time in Franklin, she told Fox News Digital that she still owns her house in Greenwich. “The Baxters” actress explained that her son Cody and his wife, Erika, who he married in 2020, currently live at the house. Gifford expressed her admiration for Cody, who spearheaded a remodel of his family home.
“My son is a smart one,” Gifford said. “He moved in with his wife. Actually, they weren’t even married then, but they moved into my house. They left here, Santa Monica, to get away from COVID and live at our house where he grew up. And they’re still there. And it’s wonderful because our house was over 100 years old, and it was right on the water, and it was falling into the sea,” Gifford said.
“And my son has done an unbelievable job,” she continued. “I mean, it looks brand new. It’s cost me a fortune, but it’s been worth it. And I’m happy that they’re there. You know how much joy it brings me to see his little boys and my son throwing the football around the same yard that Frank used to throw the football around in. They’re swimming in the same pool, playing on the tennis court, running, just everything.”
“It’s déjà vu and it’s just a joyful thing,” Gifford added. “And my son is an unbelievable husband and father, and his wife looks like Elizabeth Taylor, and she’s an incredible, incredible mother. And my daughter lives near me in Tennessee, and she is about to pop with her second baby, and she married a wonderful guy.”
“I know I’ve had great sadness in my life when I lost somebody that I love very much. But I know that I’m gonna see him again. I know exactly where they are.”
Gifford spoke with Fox News Digital while attending QVC’s TikTok Super Brand Day at the Santa Monica Post Office in Santa Monica, California. The event celebrated the second year of QVC’s “Age of Possibility” platform, which is geared toward women over 50.

“They called me years ago when I was on with Regis and asked me to do a product line for them,” she said. “So I came out with some sort of a beauty product, I think it was a skin cream and a really, really good one. And they said, ‘Now you know, you might have to stay there and come back every 20 minutes or every couple hours and do it in the middle of the night, and I said, ’OK, let’s see how it goes.'”
“We sold out,” Gifford recalled. “We sold $5 million worth of it in five minutes. I went, ‘Oh.’”

Fourth inmate captured after New Orleans jailbreak, six fugitives still at large
A fourth inmate has been captured by authorities after escaping from a New Orleans jail on Friday with six other convicts.
“Louisiana State Police just captured inmate Gary C. Price,” FBI New Orleans confirmed in a post on X.
7 FUGITIVES REMAIN ON THE RUN AFTER NOLA PRISON BREAK; INSIDE JOB SUSPECTED
“The FBI and our law enforcement partners remain out on the street this evening searching for the remaining six. If you have any information please call 1-800-Call-FBI or send us a tip online,” the post continued.
Price, 21, was charged with seven counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment with a weapon, domestic abuse, simple assault, aggravated criminal damage to property and resisting an officer, according to officials.
Officials said Price will ultimately be transported to a secure state facility outside the area and booked.
NEW ORLEANS JAIL INMATES CHARGED WITH MURDER AND OTHER CRIMES ESCAPE
Authorities said that some fugitives may have left the city or the state of Louisiana, and the public has been urged to stay alert, not be alarmed and report any tips. The FBI in a statement said it has “surged resources” and is offering up to $5,000 for tips leading to the arrest of the inmates.
A source confirmed to Fox News that authorities have come close to detaining others, but the “timing has been off.”
The source added it’s possible the remaining fugitives have left New Orleans, but it’s believed most, if not all of them, are still here.
Police said that “over 200 Law Enforcement personnel from various local, state, and federal agencies continue to work around the clock to locate the remaining fugitives.”
The six fugitives still on the run are Jermaine Donald, 42; Antoine Massey, 33; Leo Tate, 31; Lenton Vanburen, 27; Derrick Groves, 27; and Corey Boyd, 19.
The fugitives on the run are:

- Lenton J. Vanburen Jr., 26, charged with illegal carrying of weapons, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon, obstruction of justice and introducing contraband in prison.
- Jermaine Donald, 42, charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon and obstruction of justice.
- Antoine Massey, 32, charged with domestic abuse involving strangulation, theft of a motor vehicle and a parole violation.
- Derrick Groves, 27, charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and battery of a correctional facility employee.
- Leo O. Tate Sr., 31, charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of a firearm or weapon by a felon, illegal carrying of a weapon, motor vehicle theft and multiple drug charges.
Louisiana State Police released images of the captured fugitives being led into a helicopter on Friday night.
Kendall Myles, 20, was apprehended after a brief foot chase through the French Quarter soon after the escape. He had previously escaped twice from juvenile detention centers.
By Friday evening, two more fugitives had been captured. Officials found Robert Moody, 21, in New Orleans thanks to a Crimestoppers tip, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. Dkenan Dennis was found near the Chef Menteur Highway, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced on the social platform X.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson said Friday it’s unlikely the inmates could have escaped without some kind of help.
Attorney General Liz Murrill said that they “clearly dropped the ball and there’s no excuse for this.”

A female civilian employee monitoring the pod “stepped away” to get food and missed the getaway, according to authorities.
Officials said the video feed was not being actively monitored at the time, but it was reviewed after the inmates were discovered missing hours later.
The escapees were not discovered missing until a routine headcount at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The jail is only at 60% staffing, and at the time of the escape, four supervisors and 36 staff members were monitoring 1,400 inmates, authorities said.
Three jail employees have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, authorities said.

Retired FBI special agent Jason Pack tells Fox News Digital that “the jailbreak in New Orleans should get everyone’s attention.”
“This wasn’t a complicated escape. Ten inmates got out through a hole behind a toilet,”Pack said. “It took more than seven hours before anyone noticed they were gone. That tells you a lot about what’s going on inside that jail. Too few people on staff. Not enough oversight. And likely not enough working equipment or security checks.”
Pack said that the number one goal for law enforcement is to get all the inmates back into custody quickly and safely.
“Police don’t want this to end with anyone getting injured, including the escapees. The goal is to find them, surround them, and bring them in without any drama. That’s what officers train for. It’s not about chasing headlines. It’s about doing the job carefully and professionally, even when the public is watching,” Pack said.
